Thinkpad Yoga - Digitizer pressure sensitivity

Question: Thinkpad Yoga - Digitizer pressure sensitivity

Hey, just in case someone is interested in pressure sensitivity for the Thinkpad Yoga.Try this driver from wacom ;-)http://www.wacom.eu/index4.asp?pid=9278&lang=de This morning I had a phone call with the Lenovo Support Europe regarding the subject, but all they were able was to tell me to send my brand new Yoga in. I can not tell you how disappointed I am from this support. They are hardly to understand and they know nothing!!! As an early adopter of the Thinkpad Tablet 1 this was not my first experience with them and the only reason to buy the Yoga was that there is no alternative for my kind of usage. Nevertheless I found the solution by my self and I can't tell you how happy I am. Not to be misunderstood, this is a problem of the european support I don't believe (or hope) that it is the same with the US support and especially the Lenovo Staff in this forum does a really good job!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi.
I can't work out how to open a new topic, so I post my problem here and hope that someone is so kind and tries to help me anyways and possibly even moves this to the correct place.
I bought a ThinkPad yoga 12 with wacom display about 2 years ago and from the beginning I had problems with the pressure sensitivity in Photoshop cs6 extended. Every few strokes a get a big fat ugly one. I posted the problem at Adobe but they weren't any help really. At some point I just gave up on it. Iz makes me really sad, because that waa the main reason why I bought that laptop. I would be so greatful if someone could help me fix this.
Best wishes

7 works with WACOM tablet OOB, but there's no pressure sensitivity. If you install WACOM drivers you get pressure sensitivity but you lose almost all features of tablet PC support, e.g. the cursor becomes a normal mouse, you don't get the virtual keyboard side panel, and the right click doesn't work as designed. Has anyone resolved this issue?

Hello, I've purchased a W700 and am having issues with the pressure sensitivity on the in-unit Wacom Digitizer. I have tried 2 applications (Painter and Photoshop) and I am not seeing any pressure sensitivity. I also have connected a Cintiq to the laptop and was not getting PS on that either, makes me suspicious of the default Wacom Driver on the W700. Also, Wacom software doesn't seem to detect the onboard W700 Wacom Digitizer. Any comments or experiences appreciated. Thanks

This is something I'll look into when I receive my W700, as it's something I'll be using a lot. I'll see if I can find out more... hang in there.

If you, Dell, wanna sell the laptop with digitizer feature, at least you should, really should give us about its maximum pressure sensitivity supported.
I want to use 3rd party stylus like Wacom Bamboo Ink or Microsoft Surface Pen(2017). Both supports 4,096 pressure sensitivity and MPP(Microsoft Pen Protocol). Are they supported by the screen(digitizer panel) on Dell Inspiron 13 7373, with their original pressure sensitivity range(4,096) exactly?

Hey guys, I'm having some issues with pressure sensitivity. Does the Lenovo yoga 3 support pressure sensitivity? (I thought it would, being a touchscreen laptop)I am using Adobe Illustrator CC with a stylus - the Adonit Jot Pro. I can't seem to use the pressure sensitivity functions on illustrator. I tried downloading a few Wacom drivers, however they did not make any difference. If the Yoga 3 Pro does actually have pressure sensitivity functions, how do I enable them or which drivers do I download.. basically, how do i fix this??Thanks!

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro - Pressure Sensitivity - Stylus

Good day and welcome to the community.

The Yoga 3 Pro has a multipoint capacitive touch screen (vs an active digitizer).

If you need Wacom-style functionality (pressure levels, fine-point control, etc) you'll need a suitably equipped machine, such as a number of ThinkPad Yoga models, the ThinkPad Helix, or the ThinkPad Tablet 10.

Hope this helps to clarify.

On the Yoga X1, can you vary either the thickness or darkness of the lines drawn in a program like Photoshop by varying the pressure exerted? If so, where is the setting that turns it on? Thanks.

I?m currently experiencing issues with inconsistent digitizer pen pressure/sensitivity.When painting within CS6, the strokes will suddenly and randomly grow thick and bold, despite brush settings for opposite results, and without a change in the pressure I apply to the screen. I am running CS6 on a Lenovo ThinkPad S1 Yoga, with a Windows 10 64-bit OS.Is this an issue with my Lenovo, Photoshop, Windows 10, the pen, or something else? What steps can I take to resolve this matter once and for all?

Answer:pen pressure w/ lenovo thinkpad s1 yoga

Hi

Maybe you can try updating some of the driver related to the Pen.

There is the Wintab Driver for Windows 10. Check if you need to update it.
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds041384

Other thing that also may help is doing some "trial and error" with other pen related software, link using Inkscape and configuring it with the pen just to try it out.

Hey, does anybody know which pens are compatible with the Yoga 460?For me the pen tip feels a bit too hard on the display. I've had the Note 10.1 2014 with a better Pen and bought a Lenovo stylus. But they were passive digitizers...

Answer:ThinkPad Yoga 260 & 460 Digitizer

Hi, welcome to the forums.

I can only talk from my experience.  I have ThinkPad Pen Pro 4X80H34887 on my Thinkpad Yoga 14 ( 20DM008UUS ).
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/itemdetails/4X80H34887/460/41E9A3C3FB5A45A9AC47C56812E4188C

For what I know (I may be wrong) the Pen Pro uses Wacom technology, it has a battery inside. I found it very nice with a nice size... but it depends on personal taste.

Can you post the full model number of the computer you want to check it will work with the pen?
I know that the Thinkpad Pen Pro web page may not say much. So, what I saw it was recomended on this forum was:
1) Check your computer model against the PSRef Books: http://psref.lenovo.com/
See if your model is listed with "Active Pen" support.

2) There is more information about the Thinkpad Pen Pro here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/acc100178

There is also the Thinkpad Yoga Pen , but I don't have experience with that one, some amazon review says it does not have batteries and it focus for replacement for Thinkpad Yoga that came with pen... but I don't know.

I've seen several threads about this issue, but none that address my specific concern.

I have a ThinkPad Yoga 14. It did not come with a digitizer pen included. However, I suspect that the screen does in fact have a Wacom digitizer layer. My rationale is this:

My computer came pre-installed with the Wacom Pen Calibration Software
Device Manager reports the following HID devices:-- HID-compliant digitizer-- HID-compliant pen-- Wacom Device
When I run the Wacom Hardware Check (available here), it reports "You have hardware compatible with the Wacom FEEL driver."
All of the 20DM008 models listed at http://psref.lenovo.com/Product/179 support the active pen (I cannot find the 20DM008U++ model there for some reason)

However, the computer will not recognize the ThinkPad digitizer pen I purchased.

So, I suppose I have three questions:

Am I just misinterpreting what I am seeing in the Device Manager?
Is it possible that Lenovo installs the Wacom screen on all it's tablets, but disables them somehow on models not marketed as digitizer ready?
If so, is there any way for me to enable my screen to allow for digitizer use?

Answer:ThinkPad Yoga 14 - Digitizer Pen

Good day.

Looking at the models that support pen at the PSREF link you included, please notice that it specifies "Active Pen". This is not the same as the ThinkPad Digitizer Pen. That's why it won't work for you.

You need the newer, AAAA battery-powered Active Pen. Apologies, but I don't have a link for it.

Hi, After working out that my laptop (Thinkpad Yoga S1) most likely has a digitizer, I purchased a pen for it. However, since I wasn't 100% sure, I bought a cheaper, off-brand pen that people said was compatible, the listing for which can be found here. I received it today, but my computer seems unresponsive when I try to use it. When I went to Wacom Pen or Pen and Touch Input, the pen calibration screens were either blank (Wacom) or didn't load (Input). Is there something else I have to do to make my pen work? Did I purchase the wrong pen? If it helps, the pen slot on my computer is still plugged; I was going to unplug it, but to do so I'd have to remove the back paneling, and one of the screws keeping it in place has been stripped. The thread confirming that my laptop has a digitizer is here. Thanks!

Answer:Thinkpad Yoga digitizer pen

Hi

Please notice that this is my personal opinon and it does not mean I'm 100% right, this is based on my experience.

I think that the "Digitizer PEN for Lenovo ThinkPad X60 X61 X200 X201" is for older Thinkpad models. I have a Thinkpad Yoga 14 (Similar to S1) (20DM008UUS) and it has a digitizer screen, but it requires an "active pen" (with batteries inside) to be able to work with the digitizer.

I have the Thinkpad Pen Pro and it works fine with my model. I still think you have a digitizer on your laptop but I think it is the wrong pen.

Here it also some more info about the pen that Amy wrote.

Regards.

Which program are you using to test the pressure sensitivity? I know that there's a specific Wacom driver you have to install, "Wacom Pen" See this topic: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-Edge-S-series/Thinkpad-Yoga-Digitizer-pressure-sensitivity/td-...

Apparently I need a Wacom Feel Driver but on setup it said "a supported tablet was not found on the system". I'm losing my calm here, the thing I want to function the most is the only thing not working at all. Please somebody tell me what to do for pressure sentivity screen.

I've owned ThinkPad laptops for the past 20 years.  My most recent purchase was a ThinkPad X1 Yoga running Windows 10.  My prior version was a ThinkPad Edge 520 with Windows 7. What I've noticed is that the "sensitivity" option is no longer available for the TrackPoint mouse.  I've attached a screenshot of the old Ultranav utility which allowed for the sensitivity to be adjusted from Light to Heavy touch.  On the new version, there is only the option to adjust the speed from Slow to Fast (which was also available on the prior version). I have no idea what the sensitivity is set by default, but it's definitely not a Light touch.  This is annoying especially if you have to scroll through log pages (web page or documents).  This is a real annoyance because it is so much more diffcult to use the TrackPoint, so much so, I'm debating whether to buy a mouse, which I haven't used in over 20 years. Anyway we could get UltraNav to add that functionality in soon???

Hi, Could somebody please point me to the place where it list the digitizer in the Thinkpad Yoga as a Wocom? I see it all over in review sites, but I can't find it in the description or the product specifications. I'm interested in this model:20CD00AVUS, which I know includes a digitizer, but I want to make sure its definitely Wacom... they all just say "digitizer". So I guess what I am trying to figure out is:1. Are ALL digitizers installed in Thinkpad Yoga's the same, or do they vary in brand/quality?2. How can I find out if its a Wacom? Thanks for the help.

Answer:Thinkpad Yoga - Wacom Digitizer?

First off the digitizer technology consists of two parts the digitizer enabled screen and the digitizer pen. Second i'd say all the TPYs have the same digitizer Technology (both screen and pen) licensed from Wacom. So the pen itself is probably prdouced by Lenovo or a third party. --- By the way other products like the Surface Pro, Vaio Duo or Galaxy Note have the same technology built in and you can use there respective digitizer pens for the TPY as well.

Hello, I just received my new shiny TPY (again). The first time I got it, the digitizer wasn't working. After a bit of research I realized that it probably was a hardware issue (No digitizer, pen or wacom device in device-manager). So I send it back. The mainboard got replaced and today I have my machine back. It was all working fine including the digitizer. But from one minute to the other it stopped working and I can't find any wacom or digitizer devices in the device-manager.Now my first thought was, that the Windows updates messed something up, so I've done a rollback but it's still not working.Am I doing something wrong or is it a hardware issue again? Thanks for advance.Robinhuett

Answer:ThinkPad Yoga - Digitizer is not working

Hello. It isn't a Hardware Problem. It seems to be a software problem after Windows 8.1 Update. I have the same problem :-( When I start the PC it works perfect, until I used it as Tablet. After that the Digitizer Pen didn't work. So I reinstalled all drivers. After that the pen worked.. so I tested it again as Tablet, after that. the Digitizer Pen didn't work. Now I installed all drivers again but the Pen didn't worked. It is a big problem at Lenovo, because Lenovo has problems with the pen software a long time. It is soooo sad because I love the Thinkpad Yoga but with this Problem the price isn't acceptable. So I am going to send it back and wait for the Surface Pro 3. Because Thinkpad stands for the perfect Business Notebook and now... Lenovo has with the digitizer pen more problems than all others. And this is very sad :-(

I just purchased a refurbished Thinkpad S1 Yoga from outlet. The description mentioned nothing about coming with a pen or having digitizer compatibility although these descriptions are generally not very detailed to begin with. I was reading that some of these machines (FHD) with the same specs as mine don't come with a pen nor  compatibility and am not sure if those two features can exist separately.  I think the newer versions all have both. Is there a way to tell if mine's compatible or not? I don't think it will come with a pen and I don't want to open the box before finding out. Part number if it helps: MP053KKL-20CDCTR1WW Thanks.

Hi everyone. I am looking to buy a laptop for university (studying engineering). I would like something that is durable, and powerful. Thats why I am looking into getting the Thinkpad Yoga. I love the convertable and compact feel, as well as the SSD that I will be getting with it.  However, another reason why I wanted to get it is because of the 'Active Digitzer'. I didn't even know what this was called since a week ago, and I still cant seem to understand what this feature will allow me to do? How does the Digitzer benefit me? Especially when I compare it to the Yoga Pro 2 (even tough that also has a touchscreen). Am I unable to draw on a YP2? Would I not be able to draw on the screen? I want to use it mainly when I use Adobe Illutrator. Is the Digitzer option worth the extra money I have to pay? With that feature added on, I will be paying almost $2000 :s

Answer:Thinkpad Yoga: Is it worth it and Digitizer?

Hi there: I have been using X230T, a predessor of Thinkpad Yoga. X230T also comes with a digitizer. I bought X23)T also for a reason: I can take note during class. I am not an engineer but a finance student. 1. You might want an Active Digitizer because it allows you to write on-screen. Use Microsoft One Note. Your computer can replace your pen and paper.2. You can still draw on YP2. But what do you feel when you use your finger, say your pointer, as a pen  YP2 does not have a digitizer pen. 3. The pen I believe is included. You do not have to pay extra unless you want to have a spare one. 4. I think Lenovo Thinkpad has lost its quality legacy from IBM. I do not like the new layout of the keyboard (I like the trackpoint but the moust click now share with the trackpad. It is just ridiculous. You cannot have an accurate click with it (for me))5. Just look at the Microsoft new Surface pro 3. You might like it! If the next time I upgrade my computer, I would by a Surface pro instead of the Thinkpad.   Cheers

Hello,I just bought a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 12 (20DL000SIX) that does not come with the pen apparently (I still have to receive it physically), but *does* have the full HD capacitive screen multitouch (1920 x 1080).I also bought separately the Thinkpad Yoga digitizer pen (4X80F22110).I spent a lot of time to understand if the two are compatible (i.e. the wacom digitizer is installed or not on the laptop), and on Lenovo website, following Products -> Accessories&Software -> Search For Compatible Accessories For Your System, it looks that indeed they are:http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:find-compati... I see that there are multiple posts on similar issue, confirming that the communication of Lenovo about pens and digitizer is really inadequate.I read in many places that the thinkpad yoga's that don't come with the pen do *not* have the digitizer. I also read that the full HD screens does have te digitizer. So, I'm getting confused...: my yoga does have the full HD but does not come with the pen included! There is no clear information anywhere and also the Lenovo  support (I called on the phone many times) is not satisfactive on this.Does anyone have the same model, or have a more clear idea on this topic? Thanks!Giulia

Answer:Thinkpad Yoga 12: digitizer? (20DL000SIX)

Hi giulsi

I also agree with you on this subject. There is much confusion with the "pens" on Thinkpad Yogas.
I think that Lenovo should specify better on the webpage (shop) which Thinkpad Yoga came with Active Pen, and on the Pen pages (also on the shop page) they should specify which models apply for it, and where to search if you computer has support for it.

How to know if you Thinkpad Yoga is Pen Compatible?
For the moment one thing that works to know if your Thinkpad is "Pen Compatible" is to search on the PSRef books.
http://psref.lenovo.com/
or
http://psref.lenovo.com/Book

I searched your model:
http://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/ThinkPad_Yoga_12?M=20DL000S%2B%2B
It says it has:

Pen
Digitizer pen

So that's good......
There are other models that says "Active Pen".. not sure if that means it only works with the "Thinkpad Pen Pro" or not.

How to resolve the question of which pen is good for you?
Thinkpad Yoga Pen suppor page:
https://support.lenovo.com/ec/es/documents/pd030464
It says "The ThinkPad Yoga Pen supports the ThinkPad Yoga." So it may also work.

I'm guessing that it will work, but please post back when you get your pen to see if it works with your model.
Regards

Hey guys!I am looking forward to buy this beauty here: http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/thinkpad/yoga-series/yoga-14/ it's the second one with the 256 GB ssd and i7.I already asked this question to the Facebook Page of Lenovo Australia and New Zealand, but the guys there didn't get it.Does this particular laptop come with a wacom digitizer? So could I use, let's say, a wacom intuos pen to draw, make sketches and write notes?I asked the guys on Facebook if the laptop comes with an active digitizer layer, but all they answered was "it doesn't come with an active pen". They didn't answer on my second question whether or not if it comes at least with a wacom digitizer. That's why I signed up here Thanks for your help!

Ok so i just recieved a thinkpad yoga S1. The one i got was the one without the digitizer pen automatically installed into the computer's side. The pen came separately and its the exact same one as the one used with the version that comes with the pen. I dont know the product code or even what its called. Which driver do i install and how can i register the product? Also, since the version i have has like a little black piece where the digitizer normally goes is there any way i can take it out and be able to accomodate the pen that came seperatly?

I think there is only two options it either comes with the pen or it doesn't. The one that doesn't have the pen built into it doesn't support the pen because of the panel used. That is waht I remember when I was researching into this unit.

I learned that the digitizer with Helix cannot be used as an eraser, does the ThinkPad Yoga digitizer have the same problem? Thanks

Solved!

Answer:ThinkPad Yoga Digitizer Question

the digitiser pen on Helix, TPT2 and Yoga all lack the traditional eraser function of the traditional ThinkPad X series tablet. There is a side button on the digitiser pen, which you can use for eraser function. Alternatively, get the X series tablet digitiser pen which has an eraser function, they work with the ThinkPad Yoga (and is what i am using now).

I noticed this missing info too when ordering my custom ThinkPad Yoga, so at checkout I added pen from the optional accessories. When my laptop arrived, it came with two pens! One inside the laptop package, and another in separate box. I suppose it might be their website issue or country-specific supply issue.

Hi! I would like to buy this Thinkpad yoga model and I would like to know if the screen is digitizer enabled and it comes with the pen. What is the storage capacity on this model?I asked various vendors from this site and everybody tells me something different... http://www.shopbot.ca/pp-lenovo-thinkpad-s1-yoga-i5-4300u-20c0001hus-lenovo-price-483964.html

Answer:20C0001HUS Thinkpad Yoga with digitizer?

So the majority of the vendors told me that the storage is 180Gb SSD and that the digitizer pen is not included. Anyway the screen is an fhd1920 x 1080, so my question is... If I buy a pen somewhere willl I be able to use the digitizer stylus anyway?Thank you

Hi, I have a lenovo thinkpad yoga (without a digitizer pen). Unfortunately, I found that there is an option of a pen after I bought it. Is there a way I can somehow add the digitizer screen to it now?I have been searching for weeks for a solution. I have even tried using a normal capacitive pen but, it does not work as fluidly as a digitizer pen.

Hi I hope someone can help me. I have had my S1 for about 10 months now and i have had no issues with the pen and using it. I used the pen last weekend in lectures, taking notes with no issues or problems and have gone to use it today, as part of my assignment, and it just isn't working at all. It doesn't matter if its in laptop, tent or tablet mode, i get no resposne from the pen at all. I have had a look in the device manager and have no issue notifications, but likewise, i can't locate anythingthat i think looks like the digital pen drivers (nothing Wacom in there). I have searched around the forums and o-line and can't seem to find anything that might help me. Have even searched, without finding, how to unistall and re-install the Wacom drivers. If anyone has any suggestions on how to diagnose and resolve this problem i would be really happy to receive them. many thanks for your help Chris

Hi, Today (or last night, not sure) three columns of my TPY 460's digitizer seem to have stopped working. Two of them are right next to each other, the third one a little further to the right. (I'm guessing the number of columns by the distance of the small dots that you can see on the display when you look at it from an angle). When I tap the pen onto the two defective columns, nothing happens, when I drag it across, it stops on one side and then jumps to the other. It's similar for the single column, but there isn't a complete stop and a jump, more of a non-linearity, the cursor moves slower, then faster, then slower again. For finger touch, the problem is similar. Is this a common problem that can be fixed by properly plugging  some cables or should I return the computer? (It's a demopool device, so I have no warranty, but I can return it within two weeks without a reason).

Hello all, apologies if this is a duplicate issue, but my searches did not turn anything up. I just received my new TPY a couple of days ago and have been happily installing software. Today was the first time I really tried using my digitizer pen, as I finally had time to open Photoshop and Illustrator. In doing so, however, I discovered pen calibration is completely messed up for the top edge of the screen. I tested it outside of the Adobe programs and the same problems occur there. I have already gone in and tried recalibrating my pen more than once using the calibration tools in the Control Panel. Is this a known issue that I just need a driver update for or is this a hardware issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Erika

I have just purchased the ThinkPad Yoga. I was wondering if there is a way to change what "handedness" you on when using the digitizer pen. I am left handed and the pen is obvioulsy configured to be used with your right hand. So when I write using the pen the writing and the pen tip to not match up like it is supposed to. It matches perfectly if I were to write something with my right hand but when I use my left hand, the writing is off (as in the letters do not match up to where I wanted to write them) Any information on this would be great, kind of anoying for trying to add notes in class. Thanks

Couldn't figure out yet how to deactivate finger input there. Any ideas? Any workarounds? Thanks a lot.

I am experiancing a strange problem with the pen/ digitiser: after waking up from standby, the pen seems to go into a frenzied clicking when i touch it to the screen, i.e. as if the pen is tapping the screen continously at very high speed. The problem goes away upon restarting the machine but comes back after standby. I have installed all windows and lenovo updates to no avail...any one familiar with the issue?

Answer:Thinkpad yoga 12 2015, pen digitizer issue after standby

On certain occasions after wake up from standby, the pen seems to stop working completely until a restart. It seems to be very intermittent.I looked for updates to the wacom driver on wacoms website, with no luck. Strangely enough, the current driver being used for the thinkpads (and presumably all tablet pc's) comes under their 'Legacy' drivers section!

Today my digitizer stopped working for the first time since I purchased my Thinkpad Yoga several years ago. Touch screen still works as normal. I don't think it's software related because I dual boot Windows and Ubuntu and it doesn't work in either operating system. Before it would work in both operating systems, and I haven't had any updates since it was last working. Is it possible for the digitizer itself to be broken somehow? I haven't dropped the device or spilled any liquid on it. I've read elsewhere on the forum that the digitizer is powered by a capacitor that is charged within the laptop. Is this still true for Thinkpad Yogas? Are there steps I can take to diagnose the issue?

I wondered if anyone has had success enabling pen pressure sensitivity for an x200 tablet in programs like, e.g., Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. I have an x200 tablet, model 7448, with the older multitouch (pen and single touch) on which I recently installed Windows 7. Pen and touch seem to work fine for the most part but pressure sensitivity doesn't work in at least those aforementioned programs (I'm not sure what other programs I might use to test it out). Back when I was running Vista it didn't work either with the Lenovo drivers.  I enabled pressure sensitivity by downloading the Wacom Bamboo driver and installing it. That worked but killed the touch, but by then reinstalling the touch driver I got it all working again. However, that doesn't seem to work with the Windows 7 version of the drivers, unless I'm forgetting a step somewhere: I did it a while ago and unfortunately didn't take any notes, and I remember trying about a half-dozen combinations before it finally worked. Has anybody else got pressure sensitivity working in Windows 7? And if so, what'd you do? Right now I'm using the touch driver from Lenovo's Windows 7 beta page. As far as I know that's the most recent one.

Answer:Pressure Sensitivity

I'm having the same problem with my new tablet.  Neither Photoshop nor Illustrator recognizes the pressure sensitivity.  It worked effortlessly with my Wacom tablet on my previous laptop, so I'm not sure what the problem is.   I have been able to get pressure sensitivity to work with another program (K-Sketch from www.k-sketch.org), but not Photoshop or Illustrator.  If you got it to work, that's fantastic!  I'd love to know what you did.

I got the laptop refurbished and with a generic(?) replacement IBM pen. The OS on the laptop is arch linux. Now the pen works fine, I can click and use the button (and the eraser, somewhat) but there's no pressure sensitivity. If I view the pressure values live they're basically jumping from 0 to maximum the second I push with the pen. Is this just the pen's fault or is something wrong with my screen?? What kind of pressure-sensitive pen can I use? The Wacom Tablet PC Clip pens are sold out everywhere.

Answer:No pressure-sensitivity on X60

Did you install the Wacom driver? Where are you testing the pressure? More info is needed.

Hi, I have a question about the the X220 Tablet thinkpad recognizing pen sensitivity and pressure in art programs namely Easy Paint Tool SAI which will not recognize sensitivity no matter what I change in the program. I have heard of some people deleting the tablet driver and then using the lenovo update which allowd for sensitivity, I tried that and that did not work. In another program, mypaint, I do have pressure sensitivity but I much prefer Paint tool SAI. I also have pressure sensitivity in programs like onenote. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer:Pen pressure sensitivity in art programs

This issue seem more likely to be a program specific issue and not an issue with the computer. Try and check the developer's website to see if there are any updates available to address this issue.

Hello! My X41 tablet laptop has lost pressure sensitivity. Please help! I am an artist and this is how i feed myself!  Jonathan

Answer:x41 pressure sensitivity lost

Amazingly so has Wacom issued an update to Microsoft for the Wacom units which now appears on windows update. The update sabotages the drivers. You will have to uninstall the drivers, but often this doesn't help as it didn't for me. What you then will have to do is to uninstall the drivers from the device manager. If this doesn't help either so can you boot Ubuntu from an USB, enter the system32 folder and manually delete everything with the name Wacom. Now your computer has almost no traces left of the update and you can install the old drivers again.

Hello,I experience a problem with pressure sensitivity on my X201. When I move pen very close to the screen I get a line drawing or a click, though I don't touch the screen. If it is a pen issue it is a very ubiquitous one. I've tried a pen from HP tm2, and I bought myself an Axiotron Studio Pen (UP-911-E) both of them have the same behaviour. Also I tried to remove nib from the pen, and move it around -- I got strokes. With original Lenovo pen and Axiotron one. Moreover I checked pressure values (in Linux), and pressuer is almost linearly related to distance from the screen (and that's with the nib out). In Wacom Forum I got this answer: The tablet should report pressure only when you touch it with the pen. There is some calibration needed, but that should be done during production. Perhaps it could be corrected with a firmware update from Lenovo. So I want to request a firmware update. Could you give me a hint on how I do it? or where can I get one? Thank you.

Okay, I admit it, I'm a Wacom junkie.  I've got three of their tablets on other computers, so getting a laptop with a wacom screen seemed like a perfect fit.  Only I can't enable pen pressure, even with their advanced driver (which installs, but doesn't seem to be recognized.)  My screen has the multi touch - I'm more than willing to disable touch if I can have better pen response.  Anyone have any luck getting the pen pressure to work?

Answer:Enabling Wacom Pressure Sensitivity

Not much of an expert, but I just installed PScs3 as well as the latest tablet wacom drivers today. Pressure sensitivity started working after the driver install, and passive touch input still works as well (I was worried they wouldn't be compatible after reading up a bit, but this doesn't seem to be the case with this setup...)  I have a MT/MV screen and Vista. Installed the latest windows tablet driver from the WACOM site even though it doesn't mention Vista in the driver download description.

Hey, My screen gets messy very quickly when I use it and switch back and forth from tablet mode to conventional mode often. Is there a hotkey or a function somewhere that temporarily disables the screen pressure ability of the screen so that I could clean the screen wiht a damp rag every so often without the risk of messing something up throuhg inadvertant clicking from the pressure of the cleaning rag on the screen?  Thanks,Jeremy

Do you mean Touch (or passive digitizer)? If so, you can go to control panel >> Touch Panel >> then uncheck "enable Touch Panel" Then you could clean your screen without any problem

I bought a refurbished Lenovo X61 computer and restored it back to factory settings. Now it's not detecting my wireless at all. When I turn on the switch, it only detects bluetooth. Also there's no pressure sensitivity in any of the art programs I'm using but there is a degree of pressure sensitivity in the handwriting bar. There seems to be a problem when I installed the Wacom drivers for Pressure sensitivity in Penabled tablets. It installs fine and photoshop has pressure sensitivity, but I could no longer calibrate my stylus with my screen. In fact, once it's in the calibration screen, the stylus cannot even press anything on the screen. In normal use, the stylus is fine. I can use it just fine to access programs, write with the virtual keyboard, etc... I'm only unable to calibrate. However, once I uninstalled it, I was able to calibrate my stylus. Anyone know of any alternate drivers for pressure-sensitivity, or know of a fix for this?

http://i.imgur.com/uU5WZAd.png This has been happening since I bought it, so I took it in under warranty to get fixed. They replaced the display (and top keyboard bezel kindly) and it fixed the touch input from jumping around to being smooth, but it didn't fix the initial problem of the pressure sensitivity. It looks slightly different now with the new display, but it's pretty much the same exact issue. So this has me thinking that it's a digitizer issue? I really doubt it would be a DOA display. I can't test another Wacom pen because I don't think I know anyone that would have one. But does this make sense for it to be the pen causing the problems? I haven't seen any posts anywhere about a problem similar to this. Otherwise, if you turn off pressure sensitivity in drawing programs or just use OneNote, etc. the pen works perfectly fine, it registers over the entire screen as it should. Before it's asked, I've updated the firmware and installed the Wacom drivers and the Lenovo drivers, none of that changed anything.

I'm trying to fix my roommate's Lenovo X220 tablet laptop and I've been battling this particular problem for months. I tried to install the Wacom Tablet PC drivers like some suggested: nothing. I tried to update the Lenovo drivers. Nothing. I tried to install the penabled drivers, and still nothing. I tried to uninstall, update, and tweak. I CANNOT get the thing to work. The ProblemLike many, there's a serious problem where the pressure sensitivity seems to want to work ok in something like Art Rage (where it seems alright with lighter and darker shades according to pressure but not size), but not in another program, namely Painttool Sai. Where it doesn't matter what you tweak in-program, it's never anything but at 100% pressure. Through all of my battling I've never been able to get it to work in that program or Photoshop CS4. It seems like it might be the issue of the drivers being messed up and they require an inhumanly light touch to get anything but 100%, as one person put it, but personally that doesn't seem to be what I'm experiencing. So my stylus sucks. I can be holding my stylus off of the screen about 3 cm from the screen and it will write on the screen. This makes actually writing on the screen nearly impossible as my handwriting is completely illegible from this issue. I have replaced my stylus multiple times and that never fixed it. Then a few weeks ago I was messing with the settings and found that I was able to adjust the pressure that it took to make the pen write. And my problem was fixed. I noticed the other day that the stylus had reverted to the old ways and so I went in search of the settings for the pen, and I can no longer find the settings menu where I was able to change the pressure sensitivity. This menu had a picture of the pen and also gave you eraser options (even though the stylus doesn't have an eraser) and calibration options. I have searched high and low for this menu and I have taken it to the lenovo people (my school has a special relationship with lenovo so we have like a mini computer fix it place in the school where we take the computers when we have issues which unfortuantely happens a lot) and they have not been able to find the menu again either. Does anyone happen to know how to adjust this setting or know a driver I can download or some way I can make my pen usable again?  I have the Lenovo Helix. I am completely up to date on software and this problem has been occuring since when I had windows 8. Currently running 8.1.

Here's the problem: I recently got a new computer with Windows 7 on it. I downloaded THE most recent Wacom driver for my intuous tablet but the pressure sensitity won't work. I think it has something to do with the fact that I can't save any software into the folder called Program Files which is always a folder where software goes. There's a strange folder I've never seen before called "Program Files (x86)" and some software doesn't approve of the strange characters; this is the folder that the software is installing on (unless the software rejects it). On my new computer, "Program Files" folder a read-only folder and I can't remove the read-only setting even though I'm the administrator. I get an error message saying "An error occurred in applying attributes to the file: C:\Program Files\Commo...\Alphabet.xml Access is denied."

I've saved Photoshop into a folder that I made called "Graphics Programs." So, my tablet is working just like a mouse except there is no pressure sensitivity for programs like Painter and Photoshop and probably Illustrator is the same. This is a huge problem for me. I also tried reinstalling the graphics software thinking that maybe it didn't work because it was there before I installed the tablet's driver...this didn't work.

I went to the control panel and opened the tablet settings. It allows me to test pressure sensitivity there and everything looks setup properly.

Anyways, it would be nice to fix this ... Read more

I just purchased the x220 T and love it. It works amazingly with sketchbook pro and calibrates well.  HOWEVER, I can not for the life of me get the pressure sensitivity to register in photoshop. I have searched and searched and keep finding discussions from people who have it working in photoshop but not in other programs. But all their solutions don't work. I have tried updating the lenovo drivers, I've tried Wacom's Tablet PC driver, I've tried the Bamboo drivers and nothing works.  The closest I got was installing a fujitsu driver a friend with the x201 reccomended and it worked --- but it also has a bad jitter and terrible clicking issues that makes it irritating to paint with. My friend has her pressure sensitivity working well on her tablet and she installed the latest Bamboo driver update from Sept 27 2011 but nothing I try works. Does anyone have any suggestions? I love this tablet and as I said, it works very well in other programs. Just not photoshop.   Thanks in advance.

Answer:Can't get Pressure Sensitivity to work in Photoshop CS5 x220 T

Holy Shmoley I got it to work. I followed the steps here: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-Tablet-ThinkPad-Laptops/X201-with-Multi-touch-Why-no-pressure-s... The solution from 'blue_healer'.Except I dont' have the multi-touch screen, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. So I removed every tablet driver that was on the laptop and rebooted. Then i installed the bamboo driver suggested (the march 15 2010 versoin). Rebooted again and then I figured, I'd try photoshop before I installed th emultitouch - even though I don't even have multitouch and VOILA!  The thing is, I tried this driver BEFORE and it screwed everything up. The difference I think is that I completely removed all the previous drivers that were installed and reboot.  I don't know why, I feel like I did this already. Maybe there was just something conflicting that needed ot be removed but it works in case anyone is feeling stuck!

Would anyone know how many levels of pressure sensitivity there are on the X230T? I ask this because I have just installed Photoshop CS6 and I seem to have many issues sketching.  I will be drawwing a series of light lines and then suddenly a big fat line will appear, I will continue sketching and this will happen over and over again.   I am very frustrated since I bought this specifically for Photoshop.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  I already turned off the "hold pen down to right click" feature, but I continue to have this issue.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe this could help: http://www.howtomakeonline.org/EAiRjMoney7gb1yD/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X230T-Touch-And-Digitizer-Pen-Input....In this 256 levels of pressure sensitivity are mentioned (which would make sense, because it would point to an 8bit ADC in the digitzer for pressure measurement). If you don't trust this number (as I would do, because it is mentioned only in one occasion in the web (or google search ;-) )) then you could also check the Wacom site for their more low end products and their specs.

Just upgraded my x230t to win8. After much trial and error I finally got the pen to have very little pressure sensitivity by increasing the hardness of the pen tip to full in the pen settings (control panel). But I am not sure if this is pressure sensitivity. The problem now is that I get thin light lines in the middle of the screen but hard dark lines after the middle region of the screen when drawing with the same pressure. And its the same regions even if i move the canvas. I have attatched a screen shot too. Could it be my screen or my digitizer? I am confused...... please help. The lines on the attached pic is drawn with equal pressure.

Answer:pressure sensitivity uneven on different areas of the screen

The conditions of the experiment are not evidence. It is impossible to draw freehand lines with equal pressure on the entire surface of the canvas. You may have to retry using a ruler, in tablet mode, the side of your hand (don?t forget to put on a thin glove) sliding onto the screen.

Example with my X220t in ArtRage Studio. I used the ruler stencil. (Highly compressed jpeg image):

So, I had pressure sensitivity and everything working on my x200t.  Then this morning I updated Win7 with sevice pack 1 as well as an assortment of other updates, such asWacom - Input - Wacom Penabled MiniDriverLenovo - Input - PS/2 TrackPointLenovo - Display - ThinkPad Display 1280x800 Then, I go to use my pen and a bunch of stuff doesn't work.   No pressure sensitivity.  And the stylus is only accurate in the primary landscape orientation (the orientation when using it as a laptop).  In the other modes the pen is on the wrong axis- either it's moving diagonally from my pen input to the opposite side horizontally or vertically.  I tried to calibrate it using the ISD Tablet Properties as well as the Pen and Touch Input categories under Hardware and Sound, but I can't get it to accept input in the calibration screens. I decided to undo the Service Pack, thinking it might be the problem.  Nope. Then I decided to undo the Wacom Penabled update, but then I think I actually completley uninstalled the driver.  So I go to the Wacom website, but there's no driver available currently for Tablet Pc.  ??? Very strange.  Perhaps there's a technical error there?  Then I think, OK, I'll just restore this puppy to the way it was earlier this morning.  So I do it.  But does it help the problem?  Nope.  So, dear helpful souls, here I am- I've uninstalled Service Pack 1, and (I think) the Wacom drive... Answer:Pen Calibration Problems- xy axis off, no pressure sensitivity, etc.

hey steveberry, quite strange that that is happening. With regards on whether the Wacom driver is still there, what you could do is to check under the Device Manager and see if its there.Other then that, I suggest checking with Wacom and their drivers

Suddenly today my tablet doesn't have pressure sensitivity in any programs. Tried all my usual tricks to get it working again and have even reinstalled the drivers but nothing works. What can I do?
I have a Vistablet original.

I recently purchased a X201 Model 2985F4U.  It has the multi-touch Wacom Penabled display.  I know the display is pressure sensitive, but the driver does not seem to support it out of the box.  Is there an alternative driver out there?  I need both features.  I'm a Software Engineer that works on Multi-touch applications but I also do sketching of prototypes.  I need Photoshop to read the pressure.  This was my sole reason for getting this model. I've read some posts in the past about X200 having to use multiple manufacturers drivers such as Fujitsu and Wacom Bamboo.  I'm about to experiment with that if necessary.  I would rather have a driver that Lenovo Supports though.

Answer:X201 with Multi-touch. Why no pressure sensitivity on Pen?

I share your pain.  When I first purchased my x201T tablet, I tried a Wacom Bamboo driver that was recommended by a tablet review website and was supposed to enable pressure sensitivity.  Once the driver was installed, the multitouch completely stopped working.  I uninstalled that driver, and then to my dismay, both the multitouch and the pen stopped working.  I then downloaded and reinstalled the default driver from Lenovo and both multitouch and pen input were re-enabled (though still without pressure sensitivity, and upon the re-installation, when using multitouch, a virtual mouse image appeared on the screen.  After reviewing several books on Windows 7, I finally found one that explained how to turn off this virtual mouse, which is called a "touch pointer" in Windows 7 and can be toggled off by selecting "Pen and Touch" from the Control Panel and un-checking the "Show the touch pointer when I'm interacting with items on the screen".  Since holding a finger against the screen for a few seconds is equivalent to a right-click, I prefer not to have the touch pointer visible).  This all took several hours (I'm not an "IT" person and don't have much confidence when it comes to installing drivers), but if anyone has found a specific solution that works, I'd be interested.

I was asked by readers to start a new topic on the concerns around the pressure sensitiviy of the digital pen when using programs like Photoshop, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and Painter.  My own experience when using Sketchbook Pro and Painter is that there is no sensitivity to pressure to alter the size or darkness of lines as there should be. As I have previously mentioned, in Fresh Paint, the Windows drawing and Painting App, there is excellent sensitivity to pressure. In general pen input on the Helix is great. There is no lag at all in writing and drawing. And text recognition in Windows 8 converting handwriting to usable text is very sophistitcated and work amazingly well.    But the deal-breaker so far is that, for those of us who want to use the pad as a drawing surface, for the legacy applications that we all have been using for years and years, the advertised umpteen levels of pressure sensitivty is just not there.

Answer:Helix - Digital Pen Pressure Sensitivity issue

As I mentioned in the other thread, this is a major issue for a computer that supposedly has over 2000 levels of pressure sensitivity.  I previously had a Surface Pro which I eventually returned due to a lack of pressure sensitivity in Photoshop and Zbrush.  As an artist, it is something that we can not do without. I have ordered the Helix, and I am now very worried that this is an issue that may linger for quite a while.   Does anyone know what the problem is and how this can be solved?  Is this primarily a Windows 8 issue, or is it a problem with the hardware?   How long will it be until there is a fix?

Hello.I'm an artist that just got the Flex 3 and I want to use the touchscreen for drawing on Paint Tool Sai rather than my Wacom tablet, so it's one less thing to carry around, but I'm not sure if I have to edit the screens pressure sensitivity in the settings or if I need a specific stylus for it. I've tried to edit Sai's settings but it didnt seem to work. If anyone can help me with this issue that'd be appriciated.

I have an HP Envy x360 touch laptop and I bought a HP Active Stylus from HP.com. The pen worked in the screen to draw but the pressure sensitivity has not worked. I have tried changing all the settings in Windows and looked for updated drivers, but nothing changes the pressure sensitivity. Has anyone used the Active Stylus and gotten it to work on an HP Envy x360?

Answer:HP active stylus pressure sensitivity not working on HP Envy...

Hi Brian, HP Envy x360 Touchscreen Notebook has Capacitive screen, that means it responds to electro discharge when we touch the screen bare handed. So the Notebook screen will not repond/bare minimum respond to Pressure Sensitive HP Active Stylus as it works on the principle of Resistive where you have to apply little pressure. So You can check with a Capacitive Stylus as most of the Smart Phones has*.   ****Click the White thumb to say thanks********Please mark Accept As Solution if it solves your problem********I am an HP Employee****

Hi,I'm a computer artist using that x201t wich is really great to paint on photoshop. As many here, i used the fujitsu driver to have pressure sensitivity, but i had to use also the wacom tablet driver. It worked perfectly for months... but not anymore. Now I feel desperate : I can't draw anymore on my tablet.I changed nothing, installed nothing, my computer didn't fall down, but the pressure sensitivity doesn't work well anymore. Now, when I draw a line, i have 50% chance to be great as usual and 50% chance to be full pressured and broken (even if i don't press much and draw a curve). I tried to uninstall all drivers, install them again, try other ones I found on forums like this one but the problem remains the same.Tried also a recovery wich didn't work, tryed to find how to put back the factory settings, but I don't have partition on my hard drive.I'm afraid it could be a hardware problem... Anyone have an idea, I don't know what to do...Thanks for reading and may be, I hope, for answearing. X201t - core 7 - 4Go ram - windows pro 32 - simple pen screen without touch (or I've never been able to make it work^^) PS sorry for my english, it's not my natural langage. edit : this computer is great for painting, it's powerfull, have a wacom screen. That's a shame lenovo didn't manage a good stable driver for it. With a better support, this tablet could really be a challenger even versus the new cintiq companion from wacom (so much more expensive).

Since I upgraded from 7 to 10 my Vistablet has stopped working. I can use the tablet and operate my machine with it but it has no pressure sensitivity on any software, rendering it useless to me as an artist. I think the company has gone bust since their website has disappeared. There are drivers floating around online but after multiple reinstalls, restarts, tweaking windows settings, playing with task manager, I'm getting desperate. I'm unconvinced that the drivers I installed via a simple setup file actually installed anything - I don't think I can see any tablet drivers running in processes (other than User Mode Tablet Driver, which sounds like a built in Windows thing).

I really need this for my work. Can anyone help me? Can I find the raw driver files inside the setup folder and install them manually?

Answer:Vistablet 12" Original Tablet No Pressure Sensitivity

I am embarrassed to have solved my own thread only 15 minutes after creating it but not everyone will be as lucky as I am. I forgot that I obsessively save every single setup file I ever use for anything and decided to have a dig through to see if I could find an old driver for this tablet. By some miracle I recognised a file literally called "20121011_Driver V5.00" not remotely vistablet-related - but it seemed familiar, and indeed it was the right driver.
I don't know if this file is online anywhere else at the moment but I put it here on mediafire if anyone has the same ancient but working tablet as me and wants to use it again for Windows 10.

I just purchased a Refurbished Helix unit and noticed that there is no pen included. What is the sensitivity of the digitizer on the Helix? I see that there is a Helix specific digitizer pen for sale on the Lenovo site that has 256 levels of sensitivity 0A33910 and a Thinkpad 2 digitizer pen 0A33889 with the same dimensions with 1024 levels of sensitivity. Will the latter fit into the Helix slot and be fully functional with the Helix?

Answer:Helix Digitizer Sensitivity

Hi mikaila, The digitizer pen compatible with the Helix is 0A33910 wich has 256 levels of sensitivity. You might want to check with your model number that your Helix is compatible with digitizer pen though. Some Helix are just multitouch only. Vince.

A question about the deliver mouse (no wireless) with USB connection. By a minimum pressing on the sroll wheel, it activate by itself de "tact switch" to activate the Microsoft app "Auto scroll" modus.  Mostly without the knowledge from the user. As a result into (from view of the customer) a strange behaviour of his PC.  Study the Autoscroll app and you understand what I mean. Read the forums with a lot of complains about this item.Example: Help, my PC make me crazy.......... Reason: The mechanical pressure resistance on the scroll wheel is negligible. Therefore,  I open the mouse by myself andI was a little bit amazed  because HP used for the "tact switch" component (scroll wheel pressure detection) the most sensitive selection (minimum pressure needed to make contact). I replace it into another type (red color) and from now on it is a magnificent example how to use it conscious. The identification (mechanical pressure) from these components are to be  recognize on the form and the top bottom  color. Also the "click" noise on the original product is almost not audible by the customer, therefore the confusion........... My question is:   Is this a mistaken product (mouse) and is this topic well-know in the HP community ?With kind regards,Trumb

Earlier today, Microsoft and Wacom announced a new driver for mobile devices with Wacom drivers to give full pressure sensitivity in programs like Photoshop and Corel Painter. Twitter quote below: Wacom [email protected] posted a new driver for devices with Wacom Feel IT! Technology inside, giving you pressure sensitivity in apps. http://bit.ly/YIqQ29  This should work for the Helix. (Anyone out there that can test and confirm would be great.)

Answer:Wacom releases Pressure sensitivity fix driver for tablet devices

I get a "not supported" message Until I removed the pen from it's place on the display. Then it installs fine. I don't have any apps to utilize it so can't test anything  Edit: works great  http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8725654216/ Edit 2:To clarify. Remove the pen before installing, or it won't find any hardware to support.

Hey guys, just yesterday I built myself a new computer, and installed Vista Home Premium on it. I was planning to use this new computer as a graphic design PC, and as such, have installed Photoshop CS3. I plugged in my Manhattan 8" X 6" graphics tablet, and it installed all the movement drivers etc. for it, but when I went to use it in Photoshop, it said there was no "Pressure Sensitive" graphics tablet. I know that this tablet works fine on XP, because I've used it on the other computer, but when I put the disc in, and went to install the sensitivity program that is used on XP, it gave me a message along the lines of "Setup.inf" not found. I copied all files and renamed "setup.winnt" to "setup.inf" and the program started and supposedly installed, but upon restart, there was no change. I was wondering if anyone knew where to find the drivers for this tablet for windows Vista. I have looked and found nothing so far. Thanks guys.

Answer:Pressure Sensitivity Drivers Needed for Vista for Manhattan Graphics Tablet

A lot of drivers are still not updated/compatible with Vista.Hang tight for and sometime will come with an answer to your question .

There's absolutly no mention about the pressure sensitivity level on Dell Inspiron 13 7373 + Dell Active Pen.
It's very important aspect when choosing touchscreen products with stylus.
Also, which pens do exactly work with Dell Inspiron 13 7373 and are they all have same pressure sensitivity level?

Answer:How much is the pressure sensitivity level of Dell Inspiron 13 7373 with its designated Dell Active Pen?

The system has a touchscreen - not a digitizer, so it's not going to be pressure sensitive at all.
If you want that feature, the only Dell that has it is the 13" XPS 2-in-one (XPS 9365).

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the pen pressure for the pen that comes with the YOGA920? The sensitivity works fine on Paint3D so I assume it would work on other drawing programs as long it is adjusted. (Similar thing happened for my Windows Surface, I had to download an app to adjust my pen sensitivity and it all worked. I'm assuming Lenovo would have a similar process) The drawing programs I use are PaintToolSAI and/or ClipStudioPaint, I have tried on both programs and there's no pen pressure.  If you can help please do, thanks in advance!

I don't know if anyone else has this issue but i notice that if put any sort of pressue on the left border of the keyboard that my computer will act like the tab key is stuck.  At first i thought it was a driver update issue but then realized that it always would have after i disconnected the computer from the charger and carried it to the other room.  Usually the top is flipped open so I'll be carrying it with the left hand gripping the rubber border.  I'm in no way bending the system board but it does appear handling the left side will trigger a stuck tab key.  Please help.  Maybe it needs to be looked at since it's still under warranty?

Answer:Yoga Pro 3 sensitive to the pressure of being held

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

The best way to carry a laptop is with two hands so the weight of the laptop is evenly distributed.  One handed carries allow the laptop to flex when it is being moved which is not good for the internal components. Through the years I have fixed several different laptop brands where the continuous one handed carry caused an unbootable machine.

In your situation there really isn't anything to be looked at by Lenovo Support at this point since it is an intermittent problem.  Your one hand hold and grip is either causing a flex or it is putting added pressure on components.

Just to be clear, this is the laptop that I have. I need a pen for it. Any pen at all. Does one exist? Every single pen I've found, people say it doesn't work with this specific laptop. I have friends with lenovo laptops and I've tried their pens on mine and it doesn't work. My finger works fine, but I can't take notes in class like that. I have a pen that works on my iPad, but I don't really like it. I tried it on the Yoga, and it did work, but it was downright terrible. It only picked up about half the time. Lenovo has a thinkpad yoga pen on their website, but I'm quite positive that won't work with this model. So is there anywhere I can a suitable pen? Thanks.

Answer:Yoga 3 14 Digitizer Pen

The yoga 3 14 does NOT have a digitizer layer under the LCD panel. Which means NO digitizer pen will ever work with it. Trust me, im typing from my yoga 3 14 now. The 14" Thinkpad yoga does however suppport pen input. Your only option for a pen is one of those capacative pens with a rubber tip.

Hello, my Lenovo yoga 13 display is broken (just digitizer, not the whole display, LCD and everything other inside is ok) and I'm looking for new. On ebay and other public stores, I found only whole display or lot of digitizers for yoga 11 but not for 13. Is there another way how to get new digitizer without buying the whole display? On repair service, they want 11 000 CZK (about 650$) for replacement but they want to replace the whole display, which is not necessary in my case. Thanks to all for reply
