I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi everyone, My Edge e135 suddenly turned off while it was plugged in, and I haven't been able to boot it back up. It is not charging, and I've tried removing both the AC adapter and battery and holding down the power button, but no go.  When I plug the AC adapter in, the green light next to the power will turn on. But if I hit the power button, it turns right back off. Also, when I hit the power button, the red indicator on the laptop will flash on as if it's about to turn on, but it's only for a split second before turning right back off. Any idea what it could be? It's brand new, bought it in Korea where I currently am, and no idea how warranty works out here so if it's motherboard related then I have myself a new, very expensive paperweight. Any help would be hugely appreciated -- it was supposed to be my replacement for another recently dead laptop.  Thanks.

I just bought an Edge E135 without OS. I have Win 7 Enterprise edition DVD and have also put it on a usb stick. When starting to install after the keyboard language selection etc it starts to install for a few seconds the prompts me for a CD/DVD driver. I have looked all over for a driver to satisfy this request on this site and elsewhere but I have found nothing that works. Other versions of Win 7 have the same problem. I have set the bios to legacy not UEFI as recommended in many posts.I downloaded an evaluation version of Win 8 Enterprise and it installed from usb stick flawlessly first time, so it looks like it really is a new driver problem.I do not have a licence for Win 8 and do not like the interface anyway. Lenovo must have a driver for Win 7 surely? Can anybody give me any ideas how to proceed please? Anthony.

Unfortunately, neither the pinout nor the electrical specifications (e.g. expected microphone impedance) for 4 pin combo jacks are in any way standardized. These are used mostly with mobile phones and different phone brands or even different models from the same brand use different pinouts! It would therefore be extremely helpful to know which headsets intended for which brand and model of mobile phones are best suited for the Edge E135 ThinkPad. This information is practically impossible to find by Googling.I have tried a headset for Samsung Ace2 but there the microphone does not seem to work or not correctly. Is there any documentation available on which convention (if any) Lenovo chose for this?

Answer:Lenovo edge e135 4 pin audio combo jack specs

Is there any chance to find this out? Since there is no standard for this for mobile phones (Nokia, Samsung, Apple use different pin-outs, and sometimes even the same company uses different pinouts for different phones) it would REALLY be nice of Lenovo to tell us what kind of head-set they expect?

Hi guys,I'd be very grateful if you could help with the following Thinkpad Edge 13 issues:1. Heating. The fan is blowing hot air from the vent on the left. The bottom left of the keyboard also gets very, very hot. How can I cool it down?2. WiFi. The WiFi adapter turns off after the laptop goes to sleep. I think have to run the troubleshoot to restore it again. Very annoying problem - any ideas on a fix?3. Freezing. This might be related to the heat problem, but since I installed a new hdd, the laptop freezes for about 30 seconds before coming back to life again. It seems especially the case when watching video.4. Video. When watching video on VLC, if I jog the laptop only slightly, the video freezes or stutters. I have to keep the laptop perfectly still to avoid this. Is that normal?Any help with this would be much appreciated! Thanks kindly.

What operating system do you use? How did you install the operating system? Did you use recovery media that you have burnt yourself, did you get system restore disks from Lenovo or did you use another method?

I have 3 thinkpads that after a fresh reload are unable to connect to wireless networks. I have gone through and installed the different wireless drivers on the lenovo support website. I have gone through several steps of similar problems others have had but it hasn't made a difference. I have installed: HotKeys & patchPower manager & driverChipsetThe realtek network -ethernet adapter and communications LAN driverI have installed and removed each wireless adapter available Thinkpad Edge 15Type: 0319-46U On a side note in the Device manager screen there is a "Network Controller" alert saying no driver installed for this device. I have determined it is some Realtek device but beyond that I am lost.

Dear Lenovo, I have started using ThinkPad Edge E440's and E540's in my company last year (June 2014) and have now been experiencing several horrible issues: 1. The default Windows 7 OS that came with the laptop gets corrupted when you install updates from Microsoft. This will hang after the initial restart and then will never boot again to windows not to mention 4 BSOD's before it gets totally corrupted, to a point that not even safe mode can boot into. if I do not update the OS from MS Updates, it will be working, but dead slow. I have 2 i7 8GB 1TB configuration and honest to goodness opinion my Core2Quad beats them hands down in performance.  2. The issue above will then have to be reformatted hence i have no recovery disks of Windows 7 so i have to use the Windows 8.1 recovery discs. which is a terrible OS and is not being used in our corporate setup. so then i have to use one of our licenses and this wastes our licenses because we originally ordered these laptops with windows 7. but then the same issue occurs with it hanging constantly and not able to connect to the wifi and BSOD's all around 3. After i have installed and updated windows 8.1, i will then update the drivers, and then will have to update the BIOS to 2.18 and then Wi-Fi will not work with the drivers that are found from your support site. you can only use WiFi again if you download the drivers from Intel or Realtek. 4. Suddenly my USB ports started disconnecting and reconnectin... Read more

Whenever I'm watching a video and move the laptop, the video pauses for a second or two. This is getting very annoying - I got this laptop (the 14" i3 processor) 3 months ago, is this covered by my warranty? Also, some videos on YouTube show up all green and blurry, to the point where I can't see the video at all except a fuzzy green screen.  Please help!

Hello . . . I have a Thinkpad Edge (Product ID 0578CT0), and the screen will not display anything. Also, using HDMI output doesn't work. On booting, the laptop screen will "flash" black a couple times, but doesn't display anything. It started a couple of days ago. . . on resume from sleep, the screen would delay in displaying, then you would see a whole bunch of scan lines and "rolling" vertical video, then it would be fine. The last time, however, it never came back. Ideas? Jim

I was looking into buying a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge. I initially preferred E530 (model# 62724GU) over the idepads (such as model P500) with better configurations for over a hundred and fifty dollars less only because it had thinkpad in its name.  However, I am seeing so many complaints (such as fan issues, battery drain) for E530, I am not sure if bought one it would not have defects. Has anyone got a defect free E530? What is the average battery drain time on both E530 and P500 on moderate to heavy load?

I'm looking at the new Thinkpad Edge 431 and have been hearing about the fan problems in the E430/530 series. Does anyone around here happen to have one of the new ones or can anyone find a review of the E431? Is the fan problem solved or is it still around? If it was, it would be quite the dealbreaker.

Hello! I hope you can help me. I have some problems with my Lenovo e125 thinkpad. My BIOS version is the latest (1.17) I've set the power button to sleep, and disabled the lid closing action. The first problem is, when I push the sleep button, and then close the lid, and I open it again, the computer doesn't wake up. But sometimes yes. The another (and more annoying) problem is, somethimes when I push the power button (what has set to sleep), the notebook competely restarts. My drivers are the latest, I've installed the latest AMD e450 driver from the AMD site. I hope you can help me! Thank you!

Answer:Sleep problems with my Thinkpad Edge e125

i encountered the same issue with my e325. i think i managed to solve it by setting the power button to sleep both in windows power management AND lenovo thinkvantage power manager (found in globar power settings tab). since that setting, i don't see a restart anymore and the sleep function works just fine.please try this yourself and let me know if it works for you too.

Hi  For about 3 weekI have been using and enjoying my new Edge S430. But I have some problems, questions: 1) I found out that i have a SSD caching disk, but it wasn't specified in the specs from the company where I bought it, no can I find much about it on the official Lenovo site. That's more of a pleasant surprise but looking in taskmanager I see that the disk isnt used at all! Anyone know what to do about it? 2)When starting taskmanager it sometimes takes up to 3 min(!) to start it and display info... 3)Sometimes when plugged in and sometimes when not, the S430 wont go to sleep (i did check the settings, all is normal). 4)When waking the realtech headphone driver isn't enabled and plugging in the headphones wont make the speakers go mute. 5)How do I disable the screen (make it go black?) I would be grateful if some of my issues are fixed/explained. Many thanks!

Answer:Thinkpad Edge S430 questions/problems

are you using the preinstalled windows 7 / 8 ? 1.) i don't know windows 8, but can you see the free space of a disk in the taskmanager? anyways here is how to check if the cache is active - open start menu - search for "cmd" - rightclick run as admin - enter "eccmd -info" post results 2.) that is very weird, never heard of that 5.) maybe there is a hotkey for the S430, elsewhise you can rightclick the power manager applet (if installed) -> turn screen off immediately. otherwise there are alternative programms that can do this for you hope i could help

If i was able to help - feel free to give Kudos

I take the charger out and then everything returns to normal. This only happens sometimes when charging, not the all the time which is odd.. Anyone got any ideas?

Hello, I am looking for a little bit of help. I have a Lenovo Edge 15 0319-46U laptop I recieved from my educational institution. I have had the laptop since fall of 2012. I've never had a single issue with the laptop except a month ago I noticed my wireless 1x1 b/g/n card stopped working. I'm well knoledged in computers and have already tried updating the drivers but I ran into an issue. My wireless card is no longer being shown on the Device Manager list under Network Adapters or "Unknown Devices", I only see my Wired gigabit card. I went into Bios, checked the button (did all the begginer stuff) and no dice. Wireless still does not work. I went ahead and ordered a new Intel Wireless card for said laptop and made sure the interface worked correctly, so my question is does anyone know of any fixes that could work even if the adapter is not shown on anywhere in the computer? And would anyone know if the Intel 7260-HMWNBWB Dual band card would be compatible with this machine? Thanks in advance for an answer.

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 15 0319-46U wireless problems

Hello and welcome,

The ThinkPad BIOS has a wifi whitelist.  A card has to be a whitelisted model and have a Lenovo FRU number or the laptop will refuse to boot.  Generic cards - even with the correct model number - won't boot on an unmodified BIOS.

Page 113 of the Hardware Maintenance Manual  lists the compatible models and FRU numbers.

So i recently decided to buy a second hand Lenovo E520(retarded i Know). My previous work gave me the same model so i trusted it to be reliable, however 1 month after i bought it, it suddenly did not want to turn on. I got the serial number and entered it on Lenovo's site and saw it was bought end 2011(On the posts i saw everyone that bought the e520 at that stage has problems with it). So i realized i bought it 3 months out of warrantee, took it to a lenovo dealer, they then told me it was the charging point on the motherboard that was faulty so the motherboard had to be replaced. They quoted me 4700 South African Rands(Which is about  $500 US), nice price for a motherboard since the whole pc only costs R7000 in SA (About $780 US). So i bought a working Motherboard Second hand from a guy who broke his LCD and sold the rest for parts(Exactly the same model as mine 1143-AFG) for R1000($110 US). Replaced the motherboard myself, when i was done assembling again, tried to plug it in, still no power, not charging, charging lite not showing. So anyone who can maybe help me????????? Would appreciate it!!! By the way My name is ihatelenovo after this bad experience i had with Lenovo's Reliability.

I've got an E430 with 16gb ssd drive, and tried to use expresscache to speed up my computer.I used "eccmd.exe -info" to check out how it works and here is the result.Mounted : YesPartition Size : 14.91 GBReserved Size : 3.00 MBVolume Size : 14.91 GBTotal Used Size : 3.74 GBTotal Free Space : 11.17 GBUsed Data Size : 3.67 GBUsed Data Size on Disk : 3.74 GBAs you can see,now the "total used size" is 3.74GB which indicates that the cache has benn stored on the sdd drive. But every time I shut the computer down, and restart it, check the status, the "total used size"just return to about 300MB(maybe even lower), I wonder is this how it supposed to work like? Or this software  just doesn't function correctly on my computer, and if it does is malfunctioned, what I'm I supposed to do to fix it? Thank you...

Oh,and here is another thing that I noticed. A couple of days ago, I deleted the hibernation partition on my SSD drive because it takes up 8gb of storage, and seldom do I use hibernation. But I noticed that after I deleted the partition, my computer's boot up time seems to be slower than before, does that partition has some thing to do with boot up time?

Hey Community! I'm a proud ThinkPad User now, but there are some really annoying problems I have with my ThinkPad Edge E520.My Problem: If I watch an Youtube Video on Fullscreen, there's a black bar at the right side of my screen. If I'll close Fullscreen Mode, I have to press the close Button on the right side at the bottom. But I have to press it on this black bar and not on the Button itself. This Problem isn't only at Youtube. If I play "Runes of Magic" for example, there's an black bar at the right side too, even if I play in window mode or in smaller screen resolution. I allready checked and updated everything in the ThinkVantage Toolbox, but the Problem "is still alive". What can I do to solve the problem? Chris

I have upgraded my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E545 to Windows 10 recently and since then I have been having increasing problems to connect to WiFi. It is not a problem with the WiFi itself, since I can connect with my phone and tablet without any problems and my husband has not had any problems with his laptop either. It started with just having to try to connect a couple of times (clicking disconnect and then connect again) in the beginning. Then it took restarting the computer. And now I can't connect anymore no matter how often I try or whatever I try. Initially I got an error message regarding the IP address when using the troubleshoot, but now it just can't find the problem. I have read that it could be a problem with the WiFi driver, which may need an update for Windows 10. The driver listed is Realtek RTL8188E LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. I have not been able to find this driver or any update for it on the Realtek website. I have not been able to find anything on the Lenovo or Windows website, or anywhere else for that matter, either. I have read posts by other users who are having similar issues, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Please let me know how I can solve this problem. Thank you.

Answer:WiFi connection problems after upgrade to Windows 10 - Thinkpad Edge E545

Dear KVW,

Welcome in lenovo community,
Lenovo did not release all windows 10 drivers for the E545 laptop yet,
So you may go back to the previous windows and wait till lenovo release all the drivers.
Also you can use the below link to follow the drivers update,

I purchased 4 of these for my company in December 2011 and today have had to arrange for the 3rd one to be returned to Lenovo with the same problem.  The battery stops charging and will not hold charge and will not run unless powered into ac supply. The laptop will then not power on at all, completely dead no lights / sounds etc and when returned the previous 2 they have replaced the motherboard and have had no problems since. Even though have had this problem with 2 of the others Lenovo Technical Support have still said have to return it at my expense which because of the data included on it have had to return special delivery costing 25 a time. They are returned withuin 7 days but think there may be a problem as this is a 75% failure rate. Anybody else had this problem as is putting me off buying anymore?

Since you got the machine In December then this maybe the case, as some batch of these machines were affected by the EEPROM issues.

Or any other help.THANKS!

Answer:I have lost my Recovery HDD with pre installed windows 7 on ThinkPad Edge 13 edge PLS Need HElp!

This is why one should burn recovery media before fiddling with the HD.

One option would be to download a legal Windows 7 ISO and install it.  Or borrow one.  You can use the product key on the bottom of your machine (or in the battery compartment) to activate the installation.  You may have to use the phone option to activate.

Working Legal Windows 7 Download Links

To do this you must install the same version of Windows that came on your machine - but it can be either 32 or 64 bit.

Your machine came with Win7 Home Basic 32.  I can't say for certain that these "all version" ISOs include that version, but you can try and see.

Once you have Windows installed, go to the Lenovo support page and enter your machine type.  That will take you to a list of drivers and apps to download.  Expand the ThinkVantage option and install ThinkVantage System Update.  You can then run it and it will download and install the other software automatically.

I'm basing this on what I see on the US pages.  Yours may be different.

Good luck,
Z.

Hello,With my previous Thinkpad X61s I was able to press Fn key and use some alpha keys as a numeric keypad but with my new Thinkpad X1 there is no such feature. I have some applications which do require the use of numeric keypad (note that the keycodes received by the OS are not the same if the normal numeric keys are used). Please, do not suggest to plug an external USB keypad or keyboard, that's, of course, a solution (which I don't like at all). Anyone has some suggestion to overcome this problem somehow? Thanks!Kind regardsBoyan

As you are experiencing Fn+ alpha numeric keys are not working, I would suggest you to please update the Power Manager software and also update the Bios of your system from the below mentioned web link.

Hello, I just bought an Edge 15 and I'm wondering if backlight bleed is a common problem with it. There are several places around the edge of the display where the backlight discolors the screen. I've attached a picture; note the top edge of the screen especially. Is this normal, or is it worth looking into a repair?  Also, I'm surprised that this model does not appear on Lenovo's website at all. I have only found one review for it, and it seems Best Buy was the only one to sell it. Anyone know about that? EDIT: Apparently my thread was moved to the ThinkPad Edge forum, though I'm pretty sure that this is not a ThinkPad Edge series device (as far as I can tell that series was discontinued and this was not ThinkPad branded). If someone could clarify that would be awesome. Thanks!

I have a ThinkPad 431 with Windows 7 the BIOS  turned on for always on.I switched on the USB option always on in lenovo utility. Thinkpad has 3 USB ports, two on the left and one on the right. The one on the right works when the thinkpad is in hibernation. The left ones don't. When thinkpad is on, all ports charge. Is this by design or is there a problem with my Thinkpad unit. I really realy need two ports for charging.

Hi everyone, I'm wanting to buy a new laptop and currently deciding between this ThinkPad Edge E540 (479 Euros) and this refurbished ThinkPad T420 (299 Euros) I'll be using this almost exclusively for working with audio (music production, DJing, recording & listening to music) and almost nothing else - I run Ableton and Traktor which are quite CPU-heavy so the processor is quite important.Whichever I bought I would be taking the DVD drive out and putting in a SSD for the OS and my programs, and I would also be adding an extra 4GB of RAM.I don't have much money at the moment so the 180 Euros I'd save by buying the refurb would be very appreciated, however I really don't want to compromise the speed/lifespan of my laptop.---So my question is, how much do you think a 3-4 year old T420 (which from what I understand are one of the best laptops ever made) would compare to a brand new Edge E540 in terms of speed, and which do you think would last longer?---Thanks in advance for your input.

I use external monitor on crt/vga/d-sub connector with windows 8 on a thinkpad edge 135. Sometimes, nearly every 5-10 min, i hear a disconnect sound, the external monitor loose signal, and main lcd turn on for 3-4 sec. After that, i hear the "something PnP connected" sound, and main lcd switch off, and the external monitor turns on back. This is a littlebit annoying sometimes. Is there any solution? I updated nearly everthing, but doesnt helped. Tried out the monitor with other machines, but never did that with other pc or notebook. I tried with ac adapter plugged, and unplugged as well. But the problem still exist. Gogole is my friend i know. But found nothing

Hi, I have the AMD version of the Thinkpad Edge e135. It came with 4GB of RAM preinstalled and I recently added another 4GB (of the same model). My OS (a 64bit Linux) however, still has only about 3.5GB available. This value being close to the 32bit barrier, I first thought it was a problem with the OS. But then I noticed this: When while booting I choose "F10 to diagnose hardware", I get the following contradicting output:   ? System Information ? Memory ? Total Physical Memory 8GB   ? Quick Memory Test ? Total Memory 3695MB \\ Available Memory 3578MB Is it in the end maybe a problem with the BIOS? Up to now I only checked the newer version "HMET64WW (2.04)". Did anyone get this successfully working? Maybe with the older version? Any experiences, ideas or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance! Cheers, Michel

Answer:e135 (AMD) — memory not detected

Replying to myself: Now it works. I couldn't stop myself from fiddling around. At one point I interchanged by chance the two memory boards. That is, the originally installed one is now in the originally free slot. The new one I bought, is in the formerly occupied slot. I don't understand why, but now it works.

Good evening everyone, I got my new Lenovo Think Pad E135 and because I didn't own any windows license I started with installing Fuduntu on the HDD. Now that I got myself a new Windows 8 license I'd like to install windows 8.I copied the files to my external HDD, mounted the image and started the installation of windows 8. After starting I get an error message telling me that some media drivers are missing.I think I accidentaly deleted all the drivers which came with the netbook when I installed Fuduntu first. I already read the manual, but it is just telling me to download the drivers from the lenovo website before installing windows 8. My problem is that I don't know which drivers to install and how to install them properly.I am planning to install windows 8 professional 64 bit version and I bought the E135 without an operating system on it. I'm looking forward to getting some help. Thanks in advance. Greetings,Nath

Answer:Problem installing Windows 8 on E135

Hello and welcome,

What was the exact error message?

During a Windows 7 install, if you get the "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" error, it usually means that the download is corrupt or the files have been transferred to USB drive or CD/DVD incorrectly.  It doesn't mean that specific drivers are missing.

Note, that's for Windows 7.  I don't know if the Win 8 installer error messages are similar.  Your actual error may be a totally different issue.

This is just something to check.

Z.

Recently, my HDD has begun to grind to a halt on my Thinkpad Edge e420. I decided to replace the HDD to an SSD, and after many, many unsuccessful attempts to reinstall the OS via Rescue and Recovery, cloning the drive etc, I decided to install the OS onto the new SSD using a windows disk. While this seems to have worked, I now no longer have any of the preinstalled Lenovo software. This is disappointing, but also seems to have reduced the functionality of the laptop (eg the networking device is no longer recognised).Could anyone please recommend a method of reinstalling the Lenovo software onto this new SSD.

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 420 HDD to SSD

Windows 7 right? Download ThinkVantage System Update, it should download most of the drivers and applicable softwares for your E420.

Question: Thinkpad Edge 14

I've recently received my Edge 14 and upon unboxing, I noticed the top of the laptop (the back of the screen) is curved.  I've seen countless videos and customer photos of their Edge and have not seen this on their's.  The curved screen is very noticeably.  You can also see that the speakers are curved as well due to it.  Does anyone know if its suppose to be like this?  If not then do you think I can get a full refund and none of that 15% restocking free junk?  Besides, I don't think I'm at fault here but rather who ever built the thing.  I am fairly disappointed to see this because I hear Thinkpads are quality built.  This is my first Thinkpad and my first impression was it is just another cheaply made laptop.  I've also bought the sleeve for this and that doesn't even fit properly.  Theres a huge gap when you place the laptop in.

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 14

Hello mate, Can you take a photo of your laptop ?And for the sleeve, it's because you've got the room for the AC adapter.

Hi,     I have recently bought a Thinkpad Edge (AMD / L625) to replace my dependable but very aged Dell Precision M50. The Think Pad Edge I think is a great machine and does everything that I want it to do. One minor niggle and I think it only bugs me because of my engineering background is the systems specs. The Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1325 which is powered by the same processor and chipset can support 8GB of RAM, whereas the Edge can only support 4GB. Given that the memory controller is integrated into the Turion CPU and it is unlikely that Lenovo had AMD fab a custom CPU, shouldn't the edge also support 8GB of RAM. Has anyone tested an 8GB of RAM on an edge?If so does it work?Have Lenovo limited the Edge's RAM capacity through its hardware or software implementation? One final question if the system does support 8GB of RAM does the RADION 3200 IGP then take control of 512MB of system ram, rather than the 256MB when using 4GB of RAM. I was only thinking about this upgrade as a midlife refresh to give the system a little bit more horsepower. Kingston, Crucial and Corsair, to name just a few all make compatible 4GB memory modules, or atleast they conform to the specs of the current 2GB modules. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris

Answer:Thinkpad EDGE - AMD - 8GB RAM ?

welcome to the forum!

since the edge likely wasn't tested with 6GB or 8GB, the specs didn't reflect the system's full capability.   the same thing happened with the X61 and T61 systems.   they were rated at 4GB maximum but many users (myself included) are successfully running 8GB.

i'm not personally aware of any limitations in memory.   8GB and even 16GB (if 8GB DDR3 modules are ever released to the public) should be possible.

with that said, i cannot say definitively whether 8GB is supported but i'd be very, very surprised if it weren't.   i have an edge sitting on my desk with 2 x 2GB installed but unfortunately don't have any 4GB DDR3 modules to test.   if i get my hands on a 4GB module or two before this system leaves my office then i'll let you know the results.

enjoy your new system!

Hello, I am going to be using this laptop for Senior School, already 1 term in and am hating the laptop we recieved 2 years ago. I would prefer if a Lenovo Staff or Moderator can confirm if this is possible to buy as it's not on the Customize page. With the 14" model, I can get the 9 cell battery option but no choice of the Intel Centrino Advanced 6200N wireless card, and with the 15" model I can't get either. I know it's possible to use that card with the edge, but why isn't it avaialable to choose? The same with the 15" with a 9 cell battery option? Cheers, Matt. [This is from the Australian Store]

Question: Thinkpad Edge 525

Hi,i had a problem with the monitor backlight on my E525. It went totally gone and i needed a flashlight to see anything. I deinstalled the graphics drivers and it was fine again. I just see everything in 1024*786 and it says "standard vga graphics card" because i have no driver. Now i want to reinstall the Lenovo drivers, but on the homepage i dont find the graphic drivers for E525.Can anyone help? Thanks alot!

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 525

Hi, startrip

I think I found what you're looking for. This is the driver for the AMD graphics that your computer uses. To find drivers on Lenovo's site easily, go to support.lenovo.com, click on Driver Matrix, select the line of computer you have (ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, etc.) and then select your system.

Hope it helps,

just recently bought my first laptop and got good recommendations on lenovo...however i have found everything else to be fairly frustrating. There are no instructions regarding inital battery setup to ensure lengevity in the box. i called customer service. i looked online. they directed me to go back online and read a manual which still did not have the proper information and was organized extremely poorly. basically im just venting a little about my lack of satisfaction and wondering how to get the most out of battery/. I have looked everywhere.

Answer:New Thinkpad edge 14

New owner here also. There was limited documentation in the box, and on the last pages of something that looked like generic policy / license info, I found a few basic instructions. Of note, the battery may not have full capacity until it has been fully charged and discharged for several cycles. Agreed documentation is not the best, but everything is pretty straightforward, except detailed configurations, which is always trial and error. So far, I really like the notebook.

I currently own a Lenovo Thinkpad r61i with a 15 inch screen 1gig of ram, 6.5 lb. and windows vista! I am wanting to buy a new laptop. I am a student and I have my laptop everywhere I go and I need something light, pretty fast, and gets good battery life. I think I want to buy the thinkpad edge, but I have a few questions for people who have already bought it.  How have you handled there being no CD drive. I was thinking that I wouldn't have a problem because I mainly download software but I want to know how others handled it. I think I would image a cd on another computer and mount it with WinMountIs the 1.3ghz CULV processor good for this computer. I really don't want it to hang as that is my current problem or with the high ram is it fineHow is the new keyboard layout. I am constantly typing on my current thinkpad and I want to make sure that it is a good layout as I am constantly taking notes and writing essays    Please answer,Jeremy

Answer:Should I Buy the ThinkPad Edge

Hi Jeremy. I just got my Edge about a week ago.  I am also a college student.  I haven't had any problems getting around the CD drive.  My husband loaded Windows 7 Ultimate to a flash drive, then loaded it onto my computer.  I like not having it.  I was constantly bumping into the open button on my Vaio.  Very irritating when you are taking a timed exam online!  The Edge isn't as light as a netbook but it is pretty light.  I had a hard time deciding on the S10-3t or the Edge (as is evidenced by my posts on these boards--very embarrassing!!).  I am very glad I changed my mind and ordered this one.  I have the AMD Neo X2 L325 (1.5mhz) so I can't help with your question about the 1.3.  What I can tell you is that I haven't had a single issue with hanging.  This machine is very responsive.  I have a Thinkpad z60m.  The keyboard layout seems very similar to me.  I haven't had any trouble acclimating.  AND I LOVE this keyboard.  It has a better feel than the z60m, and that's saying something!  Prior to using this Edge, the Z60m was my favorite keyboard hands down.  I write quite bit (English/Communications major) and this keyboard is very comfortable. Battery power is pretty good.  I'm sure you'd get a lot more out of a netbook. I hope that helps a little. Karen

Hey So I've had my Thinkpad Edge 14 since the end of last summer.  I keep putting this off but now it has gotten to the point where I am sick of it.  Here is my problem: I plug my Thinkpad Edge 14 into the charger, which is obviously plugged into an outlet.  Usually it's while the system is still running but lately I've tried shutting it down first.  Now, about 1-2 minutes after I plug the laptop in, the CPU starts to FREAK OUT.  I have Rainmeter set up so I can keep track of my CPU/RAM/network and such.  So my little graph of my CPU starts to spike and it goes from 0% -> 26% -> 0% -> 78% -> 100% ->0% and so on and so forth.  This doesn't happen over time, this happens constantly.  The CPU just keeps jumping and dropping.  This kills my performance.  Everything becomes jumpy and slow.  Opening a folder or my browser (which should take 2 seconds, if that) now takes about a minute.  Before, I was able to just turn off my laptop and turn it back on, no problems.  Now, I turn it off and turn it on 3-4 times and it is still jumping so I just let it sit there till the machine is charged.  I've gotten into the habit of just charging it overnight just so I don't have to deal with it in the morning.  I haven't a clue what is wrong or how to stop it.  This also has nothing to do with going to the Task Manager and ending a few processes.  I've tried and it does nothing. I'm... My 1 and a half year old thinkpad edge E520 over heated. it was only 5-6 months over the warranty. I am personally dissapointed that my computer only lasted that extremely short amount of time. I paid $800 dollars for that computer and honestly expected to get more life out of it. Some other issues I had with this computer were a hard drive problem and an optical drive problem. I was wondering if these are due to flaws in this particular model or my bad luck.

Hey all,  So I've had the Edge 14 for about a month now. I am really happy with it for the most part, but the display does this weird thing. Every once in a while, doesn't matter if it's on battery or on AC, the brightness is lowered (even though the brighness indicaor shows max brightness) and the colors wash out and start looking really weird. It sometimes solves this on it's own or it can be cured by lowereing and increasing brightness again. I can' figure out how or why this is happening. Has anybody else faced this? Is there a solution ? Thanks all !!

hi svlad,

thanks for posting. Sorry to hear about the issue you're facing but based from your post it does appear that you've had your machine for some time. Over a certain about of time, Dust can also build up in the vents and propellar of the fan which can cause low air transfer flow out of the machine. You might want to check that out. I believe you are an experience enough person to disassemble your machine as you did mention that you have previously changed the thermal compound. please view the link below on the instruction of cleaning the fan.

I just installed a new pair of RAM this afternoon. After that the notebook does not turn on. Tried removing both the memories. But still the same.  It is not sending any beeps or anything, just black screen. Even my motherboard does not turn on. Is there any way to reset the power? I have tried the traditional power reset method of thinkpads. But nothing worked. Your help will be appreciated.

I've had my Edge 15 for few years now, and it's been perfect for me, but like a week ago the cooling fan started to kick in very often and is quite loud. I tried to clean the fan, ( it was very dusty ) but it was very difficult beacuse I couldn't plug out the cooling fan wire ( It just didn't come out ) , so I did my best cleaning it like that. I also had to unscrew the processor thermal paste area to get the fan out and I noticed that the thermal paste is is not in the center but is around the main area, could that be the problem why the cooling fan is always on and so loud? P.S Realtemp shows that temperatures are around 38-50 degrees Celsius when watching videos or using the browser. Is that normal?

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 15 cooling fan

Hi,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I?m sorry to hear that cooling fan of your Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 is running at high speeds.

If your laptop feels hot and shows any of the problems below, chances are its overheating or getting there:

Fan constantly running and making loud whirring noises
Computer struggling to perform basic tasks like opening a new browser window
Mysterious error messages popping up in random programs
Lines on your laptop screen (a sign your video card is overheating)
System freezing or the dreaded BSOD (blue screen of death)
The laptop abruptly shuts down on its own

Optimal operating temperature is 50 Celsius (122 Fahrenheit) or below during normal operation of the device. Use dust remover spray to clean out of the laptop's vents. Dust can accumulate in and block the laptop's fan vents. Start using compatible cooling pads which will help in the flow of cool air into the underside vents of the laptop. Keep your working environment or computer room as comfortably cool as possible. While applying thermal paste, put the paste on the CPU and the weight of the cooler alone will take care of the spreading. Thermal paste smaller than the size of a pea in the middle is what you need.

The temperature range you have mentioned seems to be quite normal.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,
Mithun.

One of my kids spilled a drink on my ThinkPad Edge. Is there any way to check inside to see if it is still wet in there; I tried to dry it out myself. Or do I need to take it into a PC repair shop?

I have a Thinkpad Edge 15 - model code 031925U, serial number 1ZJP21840L6 that I have owned from new.  I now need to reload Windows, because of problems with its audio on Microsoft Skype.  When I go to Lenovo Support, I cannot find anything anymore.  I am prompted to enter product description, model type number or serial number... I try all of these, but it's as if my laptop never existed.  I've checked, and right on the keyboard bezel there's a Lenovo label, so I think it's real.  Can anybody point me to the download page for this model, please?  Thanks for your assistance.

My Edge E40 (product ID 0578DTC) was working fine until one morning when i turned it on, the display was poor showing colour streaks of mixed purple blue, yellow. I could manage to use the laptop but the poor image quality on lcd made working difficult. Whenever i connected the laptop to external display the image quality was perfect. I took the laptop apart assuming the problem was with the graphics card. I never worked on the board coz its layout was new to me so i carefully assembled the laptop. When i tried to switch on the laptop i does not display anymore. All it does is whenever i try to turn it on, the power light just blinks once only, the fan only spins when the power light blinks then stops. What could be the problem?

Answer:Thinkpad Edge E40 not turning on

It might be an issue with your System board, however you can just perform the below mentioned steps in order to resolve the issue.
1. Kindly remove the battery and power adapter from the system.
2. Now, press the power button continuously for 35 seconds.
3. Refix the battery and try to turn on the system with only battery mode.
4. If the system do not start then please remove the battery and then connect the power adapter to your system and try to turn on the system.
Please note, if your system in still under warranty then kindly get in touch with the support centre.

Regards,
Harish

Hi, Mohammed-khan

Could you please post your machine type and model? You should be able to find this information on the underside of the machine in the format XXXX-XXX. With this, I'll be able to look up all the parts of your system and see if the memory you purchased is compatible with everything in your computer.

Thanks in advance,

I am really confused about the webcam. I have seen some retailers and spec sheets stating 0.3MP for the webcam, while others claim 1.3, and Lenovo offers a 2.0MP webcam when you configure it yourself on their website. I am unable to afford a self configured model, so I have to purchase it from a retailer. So what exactly is the MP for the webcam? What are your thoughts about the webcam quality under different lighting? If you own a Edge 13, it would be appreciated if you could post the MP count along with a couple pictures from the webcam. I'd also like to know if the resolution differs when using it to take pictures from when using it for video, because I've heard that some laptop webcams only allow you to record video or use for video chatting at a lower resolution.Lots of question, thanks for your time in advance!

I have recently bought a Thinkpad Edge - and as I am completely useless with  technology still learning it's capabilities.  I do know I have Windows 7.  Should I be able to download a CD on to the laptop - then play it without requiring additional software ?  At the moment I can't.  I can download on to image but then it advises me I can't play it because (.ixb) is not recognised by Windows Media Player.  I can insert and play CD's - thanks !

Answer:Thinkpad Edge- should I be able to download CD's

Hi Brownma,

Welcome To Lenovo Forums.

The CD which you have downloaded is an ixb file image which you would require to burn the image to a disc first then listen to the content from there.

You might need to purchase the software via link

Hi all, I bought the Thinkpad Edge 13 (Intel version) a week or two ago and it's a fine laptop. I've been using it with a 80Gb Intel Postville SSD and the laptop flies. Since I am a long time linux user, I've been using it with linux mostly. I experienced a few issues with the laptop which are not OS related: 1. Hissing noise when connecting a headphone, this is a very annoying problem. This seems like a design issue, I'm wondering if a software update could actually fix this.2. On startup, I sometimes get warning messages about using non-Lenovo batteries !?3. No wireless n networks are being detected bij de wlan adapter, which is also a dealbreaker for me. I am thinking of returning the laptop, has anybody seen these issues ? Kind regards, Eric

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 13 Issues

Hey there lordchaos, I also have a Thinkpad Edge 13 with the Intel CPU and I am experiencing a similar issue regarding the Headphone noise. 1) Have you seen this thread?http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-Edge/Edge-13-AMD-Hiss-Distortion-and-EMI-Noise-on-Speakers-and/t...There are many AMD users who are reporting a similar issue on their computers. At first I thought that the hissing noise was only restricted to the AMD models but this has proven to be false as we both also have the distorted headphone channel which kinda sucks So no, you're not the only one with the issue :/ 2) This seems to be a bug with some Thinkpad Edges. Updating the Bios should fix it. For a temporary fix you could also try to take out the battery and then put it back in. 3) Sorry mate, no input on that one. I don't have a wireless N network around here ^^ I am also thinking of returning the laptop. Otherwise it is a very nicely built machine with a decent battery life. I am so pissed of that I might have to return it.Other products in the price range might offer a better bang for the buck (eg Asus UL30VT) but trust me, i have owned an ASUS UL30 and the build quality is definitely under the Thinkpad Edge 13. I really want to stay a Lenovo customer, so please Lenovo suggest a fix for this!

I bought a Thinkpad Edge E530 about a year in a half ago, now, it is out of it's warranty and it will not power on! The laptop is in pretty bad condition - the pastic covering the heatsink is missing, the screen was replaced, and it is basically held together by a few screws, superglue and duct tape (Seriously). I put it in storage for about 4-5 months, recently (About 2 weeks ago) I took it out. As it kept on overheating and the screen was falling apart, I decided to clean out the fan and superflue the screen back in place. I powered down the computer and took off the bottom access panel to air-dust the fan. I then applied some glue to the seams of the screen. When I screwed everything back together, I pressed the power button and nothing happened. I tried using only the AC adaptor, only the battery, both, replacing the little battery inside, and pressing the power button 10 times (Although unsure if done correctly). The only sign of "life" from the computer is if I plug in the AC adaptor, a very faint buzzing occurs from a metal block next to a removable chip with 2 wires coming out of it (Presumably the WiFi/Networking chip?). The block looks like a SMD compnent and is labeled with  "100" on the top of it. I'm not sure what it is and it is creating a faint buzzing noise so you have to put your ear against it to hear. I've tried every possible step - and It is definently not any physical damage done to the laptop, because no sudden drops or damage was taken after it be... Read more

This week I upgraded my Thinkpad Edge 335 from Win 7 to Win 10. At first it seemed to work fine but quickly I got blue screens ("page fault in nonpaged...). I then found Lenovo's Win 10 website where the E335 is not listed as having been tested for Win 10. Does this mean that it is not compatible? The message I get on the blue screen is not unique for Win 10 if I read the tech fora. I decided to reinstall win 7 again and that works fine. However I cannot run Windows Updates anymore without downloading Win 10!

Answer:Will Thinkpad Edge 335 work with Win 10?

Hi Reinout123,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums!

Sorry to inform you, what you have found is correct and as I went through Lenovo support found the same thing that the laptop E335 is not supported under the list of supported system for windows10 update. For your confirmation please find the below given link for better understanding.
https://support.lenovo.com/sk/sk/documents/ht103535#thinkpad

Curious to know did you updated the windows 10 through ISO file, if not try updating through ISO but again no guarantee just try your luck.
Steps to update windows 10 through ISO file.
ISO file will need to be downloaded and burned to DVD and the upgrade installed from the optical media.

Hope this helps. write back for any clarification.
Thank you, have a good day.

We have recently purchased a few thinkpad edge laptops. We planned on getting one laptop setup and confgiured and taking a Ghost of the disk to clone to the rest of the machines. However the laptop hangs at the thinkpad bios screen. I saw for some older thinkpads that a special option when making the image would fix the issue. Also we noticed that the laptop had a weird 1.5gb partition before the windows one. Has anybody gotten this to work before? Or does anyone have a tool that they have used successfully.Note: We had an image of a pervious batch of thinkpad edges that would ghost fine. (Although the image doesn't work on this newer batch.)

Question: Thinkpad Edge E540

I have an interesting situation, just bought this laptop literally a week ago and noticed this happens on a very frequent basis. Right now the trackpoint is disabled and touchpad is enabled. So that makes the lower right hand corner the right click and the remainder the left click. Well at randomn times the entire touchpad will become a right click and will stay right click. No matter where I click on the touchpad the pop up menu will display. I also noticed that when this happens the touchpad is very sensitive, if i place a finger on it and stay there it will move around the screen. It is completly random there is no consistency what so ever. Anyone have any suggestions. When this happened, I have managed to get to the mouse properties and nothing has changed. A restart will not fix the issue. It has to be a shutdown then turn on again to fix the issue.

My battery on the Thinkpad edge says only 27 % left. We tried to reset, but nothing happened. What should we do?

Answer:Battery Thinkpad Edge 15

Hey there Nancy,

If you could, please provide us with a few more details. I see your using a ThinkPad Edge 15, about how long have you had the machine? What is the machine type and model number of your machine? (It should be in this format: XXXX-XXX) and usually is found on the underside of the machine on the label next to the serial number, or in the battery compartment on the label located there.

Is this an overtime decrease, or is all of a sudden?

Have you tried a static discharge? Here is how to perform the Thinkpad static discharge:

Unplug the power supply
Remove the battery
Disconnect any cords or express cards
Press the power button 10 times, and on the 10th press hold it for 30 seconds

Some of the ThinkPad Edge 15's needed a battery firmware update to correct an issue with the charge %. Have you tried using this firmware update?

I look forward to hearing back from you nancywintner!

Question: thinkpad edge e420

I was just wondering what everyones take is on the edge e420?I was looking at one and i was just wondering if anyone has encountered any major problems with them and if they are pretty good for the price. I noticed that the e420 has a large touch pad and the one im looking at has the core i3 23XX series with hd 3000 is what the specs claim. Also Im using a thinkpad t41 right now and how much different is everything, mean im running windows 7 ultimate on the t41 but without aero cause of the 32mb ati chipset. does the e420 have a good keyboard and is it better than say an hp or asus laptops on longevity and quality. Also is there any major flexing of the laptop? some insight would be nice

Answer:thinkpad edge e420

I have the I5 2410m version with win home prem (1141-a24) and I have been very happy with it so far. Previous ThinkPads z60t, t43.I picked up my E420 the first part of January. So far seems like a pretty solid computer. The experience has been very smooth (I have been meticulous about checking that I have the latest updates). Really impressed with it so far.My t43 (2gb Pentium M, 2GB DDR2, ATI graphics, and 1400 x 1040 screen) was running win 7 Ult. The user experience has been very nice (don't know how else to explain it.) Fast boot (30sec), quickly loads most programs... overall, every aspect has been very consistent and predictable.Flex is not an issue. I have not opened it up to see how its put together, but its pretty ridged. I should also mention that it is super light compared to any notebook I have ever owned. So, now the bad...or rather, observed items that I would probably change: I miss my ultra bay (the drive that is installed is pretty nice, I just don't like the outer cover. I worry about grabbing it oddly and breaking it..not a big deal though), I miss my ThinkLight, and the front 'edge' of the Edge can feel kind of sharp to your wrists if you type in certain angles. The chicklet keyboard is up to lenovo standards in my opinion (however, I do miss my t43 keyboard).Notables: The LED screen is wonderful, and I have very glad that its offered in anti glare. The front facing speakers sound very nice.Bottom line. Nice computer, and IT IS very much a ThinkPad, but it n... Read more

Hi, My Problem: I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15, which shuts down under greater stress. Initially, it was only in more demanding games like Portal 2, then it has spread to other games that I previously could easily play 2 hours, (eg Fallout, Skyrim). Meanwhile, it also shuts down on Facebookapps or HD-Movies. Process: While im playing or working on my Computer, all my Monitors (i have 2 of them) turn black and the computer is off. then the computer starts again and reports, that windows was not shut down properly. A failure report doesnt exist. All same Apllications are shutting down in the same way again and again.  What i have already done: I Cant imagine that the temperature is the problem. The laptop gets warm, but i can easaly touch it.All drivers are up to date and a hardware scan has revealed nothing. It would be gread if someone could explain the problem and give me a proper solution. Sincerely yoursFrost753

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 15 Shutdown

Hi, I can probably give you some hints on how to solve this (I'm on a W510) a) use a cooling-pad (you've probably expected that)b) for GAMES (actually Skyrim was the reason why I stumbled upon your post) use SW to 'underclock' your GPU.  In my case - Skyrim - underclocking the GPU solved ALL problems (and it IS a heating-problem). I use 'EVGA Precision X' (google it) to underclock. Funny thing is: I can play at higher res without lags, without crash. Reading your post I truly believe that you HAVE a heating problem.  My laptop never crashed, but Skyrim brought it down - like every 15 Minutes. I must say that the gpu/cpu/hd temperatures CAN be higher (eg. when re-encoding video ,...) without a crash  - but for some reason, that game brought my laptop down - even at lower temperatures.hope this helpsbest regards

hi, recently i have a problem with my laptop, it started with a blue screen and a lot of white letters, then it turns off by it self, i turneded  "on" and it goes to the "windows error recovery"" so, i choose safe mode to try to get system restore, and NOTHING... IT JUST WENT  TO ADVANCE SYSTEM RECOVERY,  i tryed many times this way with no success, so the option i got was to go to advance recovery, i press ok to continue, after it finishe it say that it went to the point of new like the factory sended, now it doesn't boot up at all.... and everytime I turn it on it goes to the windows error recovery over and over again and try to load windows by it self..... what should I do???

Answer:my thinkpad edge can't reboot.... please help!!!

Hi, 365hvacr

There are a few options that you could utilize for this issue. If you are trying to boot into Safe Mode to try and restore Windows to an earlier place in time, you could try booting into Safe Mode manually, which can be accomplished by tapping F8 when you turn on your system until a menu pops up asking if you want to go into Safe Mode. Select Safe Mode and see if that lets you get to your desktop.

Another method to accomplish a system restore will involve using WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment). This method requires a recovery disc, but you should be able to boot from the CD and use the disc to set Windows back to an earlier state.

The final method also requires a Windows disc, but would involve reinstalling Windows. This would remove all of your files, however.

Hope it helps,
Adam

Hi Guys, I'm debating on getting this laptop, but I have some questions.  I've read all the post and the choice is still confusing to me.  Can you help in answering some questions for me? 1. Are the hinges made of metal or plastic? 2. I am getting Mixed reviews on Battery life. What the the max battery life for Intel model with 6 cell under normal usage(Web surfing, email, MS Office)? What the the max battery life for AMD model with 6 cell under normal usage(Web surfing, email, MS Office)?3. AMD Athlon Neo X2 with ATI Radeon HD 3200 vs Intel Core 2 Duo with Intel GMA 4500MHD:ATI Radeon is a better GPU then Intel GMA, but Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CPU performs better then AMD Athlon Neo X2.Which performs better for HD Videos and gaming with the current configuration.4. Fan NoiseI've read some people complain about fan noise on the AMD model. Can anyone else confirm this? How noticable is the fan noise?Does the Intel model have the same fan noise issue?5. HeatPeople are reporting that the AMD model generates more heat.  I am assuming that this is due to the AMD CPU using a higher wattage. Can anyone confirm this? How noticable is the heat? Thanks,

Answer:Thinkpad Edge 13 Questions

Hi, Edge 13" intel 7300 for me. * hinges seem metal* fan noise : no pb by using basic applications* heat : same observation; heater in video streaming mode or watching HDD's video* gaming : prefer the AMD version, the discrete 4500 HD card being limited* video streaming : no pb till 720p : some lags in 1080p, but it may be caused by my modem (G norm / 54 Mbs/s) Hoping it helps you.

Hi everyone,I Just got this edge e530 about 2 weeks ago, and i noticed my power jack LED stays solid green no matter if its charging or full. Any idea's guys i cant afford to wreck this battery and i need it for UNI next year is this a common issue?ThanksAnthony

Answer:Thinkpad EDGE E530

Hi thedatazoo, Don't worry, this only indicates there's power pass through your machine. The light will keep on even when you remove battery. And your battery will stop charging when it reach full charge (charge level can be customised in Power Manager). And you can always monitor your battery's condition in power manager. Hope this helpsFred

Thanks Mark for adding a dedicated forum for the Thinkpad Edge.  I know that this has just recently been released at the start of the new year however ~where are all the consumers of this????  Not many people talking about it~not even on notebookreview.com very strange. Anyhow ~ just bought the Intel version with the Matte vs. Glossy.  (not sure I could deal with the fingerprints.)  I'm pretty pumped about it ~never owned a Lenovo so this will be a new experience for me.  Ship time was kind of ridiculous for a laptop that is not customizable. (Pretty sure that the Chinese new year has something to do with this.)  I'll post impressions as soon as I get and hopefully by then more people will have this so we can get some discussions going. Brandon

Answer:Thinkpad Edge - Intel

Brandon,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for speaking up.   There are only a handful of reviews out there on this so far as well, which has surprised me a bit since this is a bit of a departure from the normal solid black rectangle that we are all used to.

Personally, I expected the forum to erupt with discussion on this.  People coming out in droves for and against the new design.  I figured love it or hate it, people would have an opinion.

So,  be sure to share your thoughts on everything from the silver banding, matt vs glossy finish, and the new island keys. Love to hear your thoughts!

Mark
