WIRELESS DRIVER BROADCOM

Question: WIRELESS DRIVER BROADCOM

Hi, I recently bought a used T41, type 2373-Y22 from a dealer in Germany. I'm looking for a driver for the integrated wireless card. The program Everest finds the following card to be installed: Broadcom 802.11g Wireless Network Adapter (14E4-4320). This seems not to be the original card, so no driver from Lenovo works. Broadcom doesn't even bother to answer the mails. Can Anybody tell me where I can find a driver for this card? Jürgen

Preferred Solution: WIRELESS DRIVER BROADCOM

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: WIRELESS DRIVER BROADCOM

Hello and welcome!Did you already tried out any of the Broadcom drivers which can be found on the net, like this or one from here?Add-on: The key here is, to find out what Broadcom chipset your WLAN card uses, since it's easier to find a correct Broadcom driver, if you know the exact chipset spec name. For your pciid= 14e4:4320 it might be possibly --> BCM4306 <-- but you will have to prove that twice before searching for a suitable Broadcom driver.Message Edited by vkyr on 03-24-2008 01:27 PM

I have googled for this driver for hours, no luck. I have found websites that list the driver, but there is no link to download it. The drivers from Gateways site do not work. Do any of you no a Dell or Acer laptop that uses the Broadcom BCM94318MPG wireless? Or where I can download the driver (winXP).

Thanks.

OK, first i have a HP dv7-1267cl laptop with amd turon X2 @ 2.20 ghz and 4 gig memory it came with Win home premium and i just did a fresh R&R with Vista Ultimate so needless to say i have reformatted everything. well everything seems to be going good i am fully updated via microsoft update and HP except for 2 things that just will not accept their drivers one of the is called unknown device and the other is network controller which is my broadcom wireless card I have tried to go through microsoft update i have DL'ed the driver from HP and tried installing it from my desktop and yes, I unistalled the devices in device mgr beforehand i cant tell you how many times i have Restarted the PCand everytime i get the messages about installing those drivers and then subsequently get the message that they failed so i have no wireless but do have hard line.... HELP

Answer:Can't get Broadcom wireless driver to install

Check the place the wireless driver gets unzipped to, then try to manually update the driver by right clicking on network controller & clicking on update driver & specify the directory. And then check if the driver would get installed or not.

Hey Guys,

~Per a moderator's request, I have created a new thread. I had initially commented this post in another thread. ~

I did a bare metal install of Windows 10 on a Dell E7250 (touch). While docked at work, no issues at all. As soon I took the machine home, BSOD after BSOD. At this point I'm trying to figure out what culprit is... VPN? SEP? Drivers?

So I ended up looking at the dump files, and it seems that "bcmwl63a.sys" is the main culprit [Broadcom Wireless 802.11ac -ASA- Dell Wireless 1560 802.11ac]. I'm not all that familiar with deciphering BSOD dumps.

I have tried several different driver scenarios. I have tried installing the latest Win 10 driver from DELL (version 7.35.290.0_A01), which made no difference. Reverted back to an older driver (version 7.35.267.0), still had BSOD's.

I also tried an SFC scan, and it did return errors that were supposedly unfixable. Not sure if it is related at all.

My fear is this is a definite driver issue that dell and Broadcom have to figure out. I'm in the process of testing out another machine (same model) just in case. But I thought just to post my findings thinking maybe someone can suggest something that I haven't tried, or make an observation that I wasn't able to see.

Attached will be the minidump logs collected by dm log collector. I will also upload my cbs.log from the sfc scan, to see if that helps:

Answer:G70-70 - Error when installing Wireless LAN driver (Atheros,Broadcom)

hi Robert,

Welcome to the Forums

The "No Appropriate Driver to be installed" error usually pops up if the installer can't find the specific hardware ID(s) to install the necessary drivers. This may happen if you have a different type of wireless adapter on your system.

Can you try to install this driver and observe:
WLAN Driver (Atheros, Realtek, Broadcom, Intel) for Windows 7 (64-bit) - Lenovo G70-70

If you still get the "No Appropriate Driver to be installed" error, can you try to follow this guide on how to identify the wireless card manufacturer (or post the hardware ID here). and observe.

 - Sample image (Intel Wireless 7260 hardware ID)

Edit:

Let me know how it goes.

Hi all

I'm at my wit's end.

My laptop is giving me the BSOD at random times, regularly over the past fortnight. They usually happen while I'm using Chrome, and involved the Broadcom wireless driver. But also happens at other times, I was using the dm_log tool now (without any applications open, just after logging onto my machine) and got the BSOD while the tool was working.

I updated all my drivers recently, no change. When I run in safe mode, the laptop seems to be ok.

After I log on the BSOD happens usually within 2 hours, and sometimes while the OS is still loading, it's that bad

Hi,
I'm using Lenovo G410 laptop and I'm using Connectify to turn my laptop to become hotspot.
Before I switch from Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit to Windows 10 Pro 64bit, there's no problem with my laptop becoming a hotspot but when I've switched I realize that my Connectify cannot start. I discover that it because my new Broadcom Wireless driver doesn't support Hosted Network Support like image below:

So I try to use older driver like image below:

My connectify finally can start but things become messy that I sometime at random time get BSOD.
Please help.
Thank you and sorry for my bad English.

Hi,
I have an M4700 running Windows 10 x64 migrated from the OEM factory install of Windows 7 Pro x64, and after checking the drivers installed, the most recent one for the Dell Wireless 1504 is still version 5.100.82.112 WHQL, released 26/10/11.
In other words, the WLAN driver for this model has not been updated once.
To be fair, there's probably been no incentive by Dell to update it as the OOTB driver seems to work OK, but I have noticed all sorts of system issues on the M4700 over the last 12 months and Intel have already posted a newer Prosetx64 version to fix Anniversary Edition related bugs on the wired LAN adapter. So it'd make sense to check to see if there are any newer versions of the WLAN driver.
The M6700 is running a more recent version of the Broadcom wireless chipset (1530) and rather than relying on an ancient HWQL driver, Dell has made available a Win10 compliant driver based on the Broadcom 7.35.340.0 driver pack.
The Broadcom 7.35.317.3 driver - only a few patches behind the M6700 official driver - is compatible with the Dell Wireless 1504 card however the only source I can find for that driver is a driver pack which has been modded, and some of the content of that driver pack is sufficiently questionable to not risk installing it.
General question to any driver tweakers (or to Dell Support if they're reading this) - If BCM 7.35.340.0 is backwards compatible with the Dell Wireless 1504 card, can the M6700 driver update be modified and released ... Read more

Answer:broadcom driver

If you have a Recovery partition and the Recovery Manager installed you can do a repair of the driver. Just follow the prompts, it's pretty fool proof.
OR
Goto HP, input your model on the drivers and support page, and download your driver. There are detailed instructions.

I bought a new Dell laptop and I want to upgrade my old XPS 13 M1330 from Vista to Windows 7.
I ran the Microsoft Upgrade Analysis tool. The results were good, but for Broadcom Netlink Fast Ethernet, the tool said I should go to the device manufacturer's website, download driver, install Windows 7, then install saved driver.
Questions: Does this driver exist on the Dell site? If yes, where can I locate it? Be specific. If not there, how can I find it on Broadcom site? The Broadcom site has drivers, but not a file called Broadcom Netlink Fast Ethernet. Does it have a new name?
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Any other upgrade cautions are also welcomed.

Answer:Broadcom Driver Help

IMO you would be better off replacing the vista computer instead of spending $100 on the win 7 upgrade. OR use the vista computer as is until you can replace it. That model should be almost at end of life. It is not worth spending any money on a 9 year old laptop.
You don't normally use ethernet on a laptop. You can add a usb wireless adapter for about $10.

Download the latest driver from broadcom for your, I'm assuming laptop and save it. Next uninstall current driver and reboot. After reboot, go to the saved driver and install that one. If windows tries to install generic windows 7 driver, select quit or stop and exit out, then continue to install latest driver you saved.

And while im here, for users who have used both Broadcom and Bluesoleil, which is better? and do they both have the same bluetooth features?

Answer:Broadcom windows 7 64 bit driver?

I can't help, only second the complaint. I'm not sure if you're talking about Broadcom modems, or Bluetooth device management in general. Whatever the case may be, there seems to be a cold shoulder from Broadcom when you approach them as a Windows 7 64 user. First you can read an explanation, as did I, thinking, "let me educate myself a little bit on this, and see if I might ascertain the next step based on that.

Well, that's a nice dream I had there. The explanation, was that there really is no such thing as "bluetooth drivers" per se. ..HUH??

Go there now, and see if you the reader don't glean that from your perusal of Broadcomms "helpful" site. It seems geared towards higher end business users, and selling other products, rather than any "customer support". I guess the logic is, you're just a lowly user, they never actually "sold YOU" anything! Right?- That's how I felt!

Then, if after that twilight zone explanation, they have a nice big package download for Windows 7. It was like, there's no real drivers, but if you insist, here, download this. Another window pops up before it can begin downloading, of course the "EUA". Seemed to make my processor stall, after I clicked "Agree". I remember this because I've downloaded this, deleted it, and downloaded it again. The reason for that is , IT NEVER INSTALLS ! ! !

NO! It starts to extract the files, and passed one of four check marks to the right of the windo... Read more

hello ,  updated to windows 10 , facing Broadcom 802.11n driver issue (pre-installed). i have tried installing other network drivers too  likeintel pro set, atheros qualcomm  but still dosent work  do help  thanku !!

Answer:Broadcom 802.11n driver issue

Hi: According to the parts list for your notebook at the link below, it comes with a Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR combination adapter. http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=QB365PA So installing any other driver than the Broadcom one is only making a bad situation worse. Broadcom does not support that model wlan card for W10, so the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W8.1 driver for that card... This package contains the Broadcom Wireless LAN Drivers that are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapter in supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72931.exe

I recently had to replace my wireless adapter and received a Broadcom BCM943228HMB from my HP rep.  I am unable to find a driver for this adapter for Windows 7 64bit.  I borrowed an adapter from another 8470p and it works, so it is not the M/B.Does someone have the correct driver?

Hi: You need this driver... This package contains Broadcom Wireless LAN driver and is required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter in supported notebook models running a supported operating system. Hello everyone. I have one hp tx1320us and a sony vaio laptops. They both have the wirelss draft n card, but the hp has one from Broadcom. My problem is that the hp after being on for about two or three hours, the internet connection starts becoming slow (very slow). I go to speakeasy and run some connection tests, and the results vary from 26k to 54k; my printer icon (lan printer) starts to disconnect and connect back also. The problem is I have a cable modem running at 7mpbs. I go to speakeasy again, but on the sony, and my full connection speed is there along with my desktop pc via ethernet.

After googling, I have discovered that the broadcom draft n cards are no good. Now, is there a possibility of swapping out the card with something else out there? Or is there something that can be done to fix it?

Also, after a reboot, the connection is back to normal and at full speed; the printer icon is also consistent. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have a broadcom airforce 802.11g network adapter that has suddenly started resetting its own WEP. It is in a gateway laptop with AMD turion using windows XP and internet explorer 7. Until a week ago there was no problem. I have scanned for viruses and found none.

I have tried uninstalling the adapter, connecting with it or with windows, setting the WEP with the advanced windows menu but when I try to go online it changes back to an eight digit WEP that I cannot see.

I have several other computers on the network including another laptop and all have no problems.

Any ideas would be appreciated

First, the questions: every time my girlfriend boots her Gateway laptop, she successfully connects to the wireless network for the dorm. However, she must release/renew to get any connectivity. The card is a Broadcom 8011.b/g (also has bluetooth... I have been out of the tech loop for a while now and know little enough about laptops to have no clue what the model number or even that company's track record is as far as compatibility and reliability). I have played around with the standard settings to try and fix this with no avail. Also, the laptop take a million years to boot and shut down, and while I am no expert, I have toyed with the common things that might cause this... I know that a tech guy got to the laptop before I did and replaced the OS and did a bunch of tweaks and didn't document it or anything so I have no idea what state her laptop is actually in.

And a bit of mudslinging... I would encourage you all to avoid purchasing your laptops (or desktops for that matter) from Gateway or Best Buy. Gateway does not support your computer in the event that you change operating systems or alter the computer in any way. Also be aware that Gateway does not cover a laptop with their name on it purchased from Best Buy. You actually must call a seperate number that leads to an eMachines representative, waiting a good 30 minutes each time you must push a new automated answering service number. Really poor business.

Answer:Broadcom wireless card

The more recent broadcom mini PCI cards in laptops, several Gateways, Dells, Compaq/HP, really are not that reliable.

Just one example I've run into lately, my bro'in'law's D820 will connect to my Linksys WRT54GS but not his dad's US Robotics AP. It will only connect to about half of the AP's in various hotels.
Drivers have been changed, etc, but I haven't done that much with it myself. He is a pretty good tech in his own right.

Combine that with several of my customers with the same issue and a Broadcom mini PCI ABG card... its faster and cheaper for my customers just to buy an Intel 2915ABG and pop it in there.

Hi guys, my friend just got a new Acer 3023 laptop with a built in broadcom wireless 802.11g card. I've installed the included drivers and utility and ensured the wireless card is active but it won't pick up my wireless network. All the computers on my network use netgear cards. I put the laptop right next to the router and it still can't see the network. Usually there are 2 or 3 wireless networks availible in my house but the laptop can't see any of them, the network is 'not connected' in network connections. I'm not sure what to do next?

Answer:Broadcom wireless problems...

I just tried changing one of the computers on my network to an ad-hoc network called 'test' and the laptop found it. I guess this means the card isn't faulty. Why can it see an ad-hoc network, but won't see my infastructure network???

Hello All, I just picked up a refurbished G500 and overall I'm pretty happy with it...with one major exception. The #1 criteria when I was laptop shopping was that it provided 802.11n support (my old laptop was just 'g'). Anyway, long story short, I am not experiencing any connectivity issues however I'm lucky if I connect at anything above 55 Mb/s. I switched over to my 802.11g router and my connection speed dropped down to 5 mb/s... so there is obviously an issue. All suggestions are welcome, but let me rule out the typical initial responses: * I have a Dell laptop that connects to my 802.11n router at 150Mbs so I know the router is fine* I have tried the generic Windows Broadcom Driver* I have tried the Lenovo Broadcom Driver for Win 7* I have tried the Lenovo Broadcom Driver for Win 8* I have tried the Lenovo Broadcom Driver for Win 8.1 Also note that I'm in I.T. but wireless isn't my strong point. When I first got the G500 before I did anything to it (so OEM image) the wireless connected low (Think the highest I saw it was 72 Mbs at one point). I have since wiped that laptop and installed my own copy of Win 8 Pro (and then Win 8.1 Pro Update) and still getting the same speed. So I feel like I have pretty much ruled out any OS issues (since I've been on 3 at this point). Drivers are always a possibility but I've tried everyone out there. And of course Hardware would be my last thought although it works.. just not that fast. I'm also... Read more

Answer:Broadcom Wireless 802.11n low Mbs speed

Just to followup, it sounds like it's the Broadcom Card. Not capable of speeds over 72 Mbs. I'd be ok with that and just replacing the card but dealing with the fact that Lenovo can't seem to tell me the approved "whitelist" cards means I can't. Thinking about returning it... this is why I never buy HP equipment and now I may have to add Lenovo to my personal Black List.

Hi, I got a new laptop today with this adapter built in. All everything is connected fine but it won't detect my network, it sees both my neighbour's networks, but not mine. £ other computers in my house can detect it, so why not the laptop? The router is a Netgear DG834G and the 3 computers connected to it are all Netgear too.
Any reason why the broadcom adapter would't see my router?
Cheers

Answer:Broadcom 802.11g wireless adapter

What model & manufacturer of laptop, and are you using WEP or WPA on the Router? The simple thing to look for is if the Wifi adapter light is lit up on the laptop. If it is a Compaq/Hp notebook, you would have a blue light that has an icon next to it that looks like a lollipop silkscreen icon. Same color for Gateway.

I would make sure that the Wifi Adapter is Enabled, or otherwise it would never work.

Hello,

I am a student at a University which requires the use of a VPN client to access the internet. When I turn on my internal wireless adapter (Broadcom) it shows excellent connectivity. I also have no problem connecting to the VPN. But when I try to connect to the internet it fails.

I have an external wireless adapter that I use at home and I plugged this one into my laptop and it worked fine. I could always use this but I figure the internal should work so I 'm looking for help.

I have taken the computer to the campus IT people but they were unable to help saying it would connect when it wanted to.

Thanks.

1. Go to the properties for your VPN connection
2. Click on the Networking tab
3. Double click on TCP/IP
4. Click on the Advanced button

I have a broadcom 440x10/100 Integrated Controller. I just got the Westell 7500. It won't connect for any connection to the broadcom card. Does anyone know if this broadcom is a network adapter? My older westell modem still connects just fine. Have a Dell 521EIs this a driver issue or do I need a network adapter? If a driver problem does anyone know the driver I need? If I need a network adapter, it is for a Dell 5100C and does this disable and replace the Broadcom card? Or in addition to it?

Answer:Can I use Broadcom 440x10/100 IC for wireless

The broadcom is a non-wireless network adapter - it will only connect using a cable. If your old modem worked with the card then your new one will, you just need to set it up in the first place - follow the instructions in the manual, if you don't have them then they should be available on the Westell website."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Hi. I have the Lenovo 3000 N100 model 0768 A52. My problem is the wireless keeps shutting off on me. I have updated every software driver I could. No love. I have called Lenovo only to be parked in hold and forgotten. I rolled the computer back to factory settings thry the rescue and recovery. Again no love. I am at my wits end and dont know what else to try. If any one has any ideas I would love to here them. Thanks for your help.

Answer:Broadcom Wireless Keeps shutting off

Well I finally got ahold of lenovo in Atlanta Georgia. They say I needed to do a full recovery, I did and now the computer is completely useless. It gives me an error message saying I need to install a disc that I do not have. Nor do I have the $43.00 to buy these discs from Lenovo. I just find it really ironic that my warranty ended the 2nd of this month and my laptop quits on the 9th. I am now forced to use a funky Sony Vaio. Really not likeing that. If any one can help me with the discs to reset it back to factory settings, I would be so greatful. Thanks for any help or ideas.

Answer:Wireless Connection Broadcom 802.11

Hi,

Would I be right in thinking from your reference to the wireless switch and to Fn+F5 that you are using a laptop and the Broadcom wi-fi unit is built into it ? If this is the case, these can fail in ways to have you pulling your hair out and not show up in Device Manager. A simple solution would be to beg, borrow or steal a USB type wireless dongle - and possibly its driver software, depending on your operating system - plug it in and see if you get a wireless connection with that. If you do, then probably the on-board wi-fi unit has failed and by far the cheapest solution is to go and buy a USB type dongle.

By the way, looking at your device driver screenshot, are you aware that there is a possible problem with your DVD drive, it has a '!' symbol over it ?

Regards,

Hello, I am using a Dell Optiplex 745 with Windows XP Media Center x32 installed on it from off of a disk, and it will not recognize the Broadcom® 5754 Gigabit Ethernet LAN built-in network card. The Hardware Manager does not recognize it and lists it as an 'Ethernet Controller' in 'Other Devices', as pictured, but recognizes my functional Realtek USB Wireless Adapter. Whenever I try to plug LAN cables into the port, my computer does not recognize them and will not allow me to set up a LAN connection, as it thinks I have no network card. I have looked for drivers on Google, but have found nothing useful. I do not know where my XP Media Center disk has gone, so I have not tried to find any drivers on there.

Just rolled my default wireless broadcom 5.100.245.20 driver to dell-supplied "DW1520 wireless-n wlan half mini card", version 5.100.235.12. I have periodically had times after waking my computer up from sleep where it wouldn't connect to any wireless networks. I would either have to reboot, or I would go through the pretty pointless win8 networking troubleshooter. It would usually find something to fix as an administrator--I don't remember right now what it would say, probably similar to the old "repair" feature in XP. Then at other times windows 8 would tell me that my wireless driver was bad and that I should look for an updated one; there isn't one. Today I got stuck at a wifi network where it wouldn't connect (because of compatibility issues). No one else was having issues with this network. I turned my phone to tether and decided to look at this driver issue closer. I downloaded the driver for my laptop, from dell's site, for windows 7, but it would fail to install, giving me the fatal error: Error "Setup.rul 60" has occured and Setup cannot continue. I then had the installer extract the files to a directory of my choosing. I then turned the compatibility mode on to Windows 7 for the Setup.exe file in that directory. Surprisingly it then successfully installed the older driver. I could then connect to this other network. I'm hoping this will also take care of the other issues I've faced. From what I've read on the internet, other people hav... Read more

All went well until I tried to connect. Win8 has no driver for this NIC, and Broadcom say it is EOLed and not supported on Win 8.

I used a wireless connection to connect to the www and tried Windows Update and "Update Driver" in Device Manager. Update Driver searched and seemed to find a driver but it failed to instal due to something wrong with the INF file.

Anyone know of a driver which works with Win 8?

A number of us have had problems with the W10Pro64 network driver failing after clean installs on HP workstations that use the Broadcom chips on the motherboard, or Broadcom based NICs.  I have input that may be helpful, for both getting the recent Broadcom 17.2.1.0 drivers to work and also a mainstream HP source of the Broadcom 14.2.0.5 drivers.  It turns out that others on the web have found that downgrading to older Broadcom 64-bit drivers have allowed their new W10 install to connect to the net also.  These specifically have been stated to be the 14.2.0.5 version, and the 16.8.1.0 version, and I have tested those to in fact work on HP workstations with Broadcom network chips. We use quite a number of HP workstations that have the Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx gigabit LOM (Local area network On Motherboard) chips.  These include the xw6400, xw6600, xw8400, xw8600, xw4600 and Z620 workstations that have a Broadcom based NIC.  I have gotten all of these working on W10Pro64 with our medical software, and I've gone through many clean W10Pro64 installs and network connectivity failures.  Here is an important pattern, and two fixes: Both with clean installs and with Acronis TrueImage clone installs I have seen the 17.2.1.0 drivers fire up and fail with W10Pro64.  This incudes up to and including Anniversary Update.  Downgrading drivers has worked, as noted above, but I like to use more recent drivers if possible.  I have seen... Hello, I have a Broadcom 43225 802.11b/g/n installed on my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC under Windows 10. My driver version for the Broadcom card is 6.30.59.49. This version does not list support for Windows 10. Do you know if there is a Windows 10 driver for my card somwhere? AD9

Answer:Driver for Broadcom 43225 802.11 b/g/n under Windows 10

AD9 I'm using Win10 on my HP DV6 laptop and that is the same driver version as on my PC.  There are no HP Win10 drivers for that laptop; thus, Win8 drivers are the latest available. However ... WiFi did NOT work under Win10 until I redid the installation from scratch -- as something got carried over during the "upgrade" that prevented the WiFi button from working. What MIGHT work is something known as a Repair-Install.  This is the least destructive of all the Windows recovery functions and rewrites the Windows system files, including the drivers, leaving your data, settings, and applications intact. To do this, you will need to use the link to download Win10 installation media and either burn a DVD or create a USB stick: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10Note that when you go do download and build install media, the tool defaults to matching what is already installed on your PC (as in, Home for Home, 64-bit for 64-bit).  Make sure you select the same version as needed for your PC. If you do not, the resulting media will be different and will force you to enter a NEW product code!Once you have that media, follow the instructions in the link:  http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html If that does not enable the WiFi button, then you're looking at a clean-install and that will remove everything from your PC.  IT's a lot of work to bac... Hello everyone,

I sure hope someone can figure this issue out. I reinstalled windows 7 pro 32x and everything else installed fine (driver) (software), but my ethernet controller wont install, i have posted a screenshot of my cpu info, i have figured out its a broadcom ethernet card but have downloaded the driver numerous times and tried to install with the error of (This Installation package is not supported by this proccessor type). yes i have verified that i was installing the 32bit not the 64, and also i have verified that it is for windows 7 too with no luck. My wireless works flawlessly but i cant connect thru ethernet port. Any help would be appreciated and if you would like more information please ask.

thanks

I was having problems with my IOGEAR GBU321 Bluetooth Adapter with a Plantronics PLT510, under Windows 7 RC 32-bit. The newest Broadcom driver solved my problems immediately. Don't use the latest IOGEAR drivers(GBU321_v5.5.0.44), they do not work.

Answer:Latest Broadcom Bluetooth Driver

This is the same that is already on my Windows 7 Pro, and it does not support any of my devices, including my plantronics head set.

Hello,I have an Aspire E1-571G with Windows 8.1x64 (clean install, no upgrade and so on) and I've been having issues with my broadcom wireless drivers ever since I installed it. The troubleshooter showed up that there is a problem with the default gateway but here's what really happens: I can stay connected to a wireless network but after random periods of time I just lose internet access (note that it doesn't show up in the connections page, everything looks perfectly fine there) and I have to reconnect to the wifi to regain it. I have tried on multiple wifi network and it does the same thing. It works fine if I use an ethernet cable but that just makes it more frustrating.I have tried all the possible solutions I could find online like checking the power management settings, reinstalling the wifi card in safe mode, checking the priority of the wirelss connection, virtually anything. There is no hardware issue with it, it worked perfectly fine on Windows 7. I haven't been able to find wireless drivers for 8.1 and even though I have the latest drivers, it still doesn't work right. There are moments when I can keep my connection for more than 2-3 hours but there are times when it crashes every 5 minutes or so.Does anybody have any idea how to fix this instead of waiting for the drivers to be updated ? I've seen that I'm not the only one with this issue and it's a bit common for e1-571g users. For example lenovo users had the same problem and the only fix was to install the def... Read more

Answer:Windows 8.1 broadcom wireless drivers

boboudrescu  Hello to you!  I just wanted to tell you that your symptoms and troubles are exactly the same as mine.  While I have found some extended ethernet connection by using FIXED DNS Server Addresses (Google Public Adresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), I still have the disconnection/dropped signal at least 6 to 8 times in the day.  So I know it's not a complete remedy by you may want to give that a try and see if it maintains a connection for a bit longer. I have posted information about Broadcom's announcement to get a new driver released and can only hope that it means a complete remedy to the problem with 8.1 drivers.  SOON!! So we shall see!

Hi. I am having trouble getting my Broadcom Wireless Network Adapter to work properly. I keep getting this error

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

I have a Gateway MX6027 laptop and i went to their support site and got the drivers. I run the setup and install the drivers, but after the restart, i still get the same problem. I tried unistalling the driver and reinstalling it again but that does not seem to work.

Answer:Broadcom Wireless Network Adapter

Did this device come with a cd with it if it did then just go to control panel then to system and under the hard ware tab click device manager and the name of the device with the question mark next to it well just right click and and click update drivers then with the cd in the cd rom let the windows search for it automatically and it should fix the problem if it didnt come with a disc then go to the website and downlod the drivers if that doesnt work then its probably a bad device thats when you send it back to the manufacturer

Hi there,
Not sure if I've got the right forum so sorry if I've put it in the wrong place, but here goes:

I'm running a brand new Lenovo B570 with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and a Broadcom 802.11n wireless network adaptor.

Earlier today I was managing to connect to the internet wirelessly, though the connection kept dropping out. Then I could connect to the wireless router, but not through the internet, and now I can't connect wirelessly at all. With an ethernet cable internet access is fine, and another computer in the house connects fine to the wireless too, so it follows that the problem's with this machine.

The computer recognises that the networks are there, but it can't connect.

Any help would be appreciated, I've been at this all day.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 running Win 8.1 Today I booted up and no wireless connections.  Clicking the wireless icon gives the message "No connections are Available:. I have turned the wireless radio off and on, rebooted a few times, and checked in the Device Manger.  It shows that the wireless adpter is working properly. I opened the Network and Sharing Center and clicked the change adapter settings.  It shows that the wireless adapter is disabled.  I clicked the enable button, but it does not change from disabled. Any suggestions GREATLY appreciated. Brian

Answer:How to enable Broadcom 802.11 ac wireless adpter

I rolled back the driver version and that seems to have solved the problem.  Not sure how this happened.  I didn't make any changes to the laptop.  The only odd thing going one was the wireless router at my home office was setting and resetting.  I had been at a client office earlier and it was working fine.

After my kid went to some less-than-savory websites, my PC at home was infested with a slew of viruses.

I figured it was time to install 7057 since I had such good luck with 7000 on my netbook.

I installed and everything appeared to be fine, but then, using the Microsoft provided Broadcom 802.11g wireless driver (just as it is labeled in Vista Ultimate, which works PERFECTLY), things started to act flakey with my internet connection.

It's a Belkin branded Broadcom card, but I have never had issues with it. After switching back to Vista it's working perfectly again.

I ran Windows updates, then started to surf the web a little to find some drivers and in the middle of doing nothing out of the ordinary, internet connectivity simply dropped.

It showed me still connected, but only for local access - no internet.

I rebooted - couldn't even connect to the wireless now.

I did a cold boot - connects but local only.

No other PC in the house was having any issues.

I've tried it using DHCP and a static IP - both of which worked on all other machines as well. No joy.

The router I am using is the first generation Belkin Pre-N, which for the past year has needed the occasional reboot, but didn't really have any serious issues. It is several years old.

As I said - no other machines had any problems. They are all running Vista Ultimate (a mix of x32 and x64), along with my netbook running x32 build 7000.

So, can I suspect that there is an issue with the Broadcom driver? Or may... Read more

whether I am at home or coffee shops my wireless connection speed is very slow.  typically getting 1-2 MBPS download speed where the connection is otherwise transmitting at 20-25mbps. Example today - home router cisco linksys N router when hardwired to my cisco wireless router I get 27-28mbps speed but when I switch to wireless only it slows down to about 1.5mbps.  at the same time I can get 10-11mbps speed on my andriod phone using the same internet speed test.net application. Today at Starbucks - andriod phone ( samsung galaxy S ii ) downlod speed ( wireless ) is @ 11-12mbps, however when I run same speed test on my lenovo G780 ( windows 8 64bit ) i can only get 1.46mbps speed. So in essence there is something amiss with my wireless adapter card ( broadcom 802.11 )  but i can't figure out if it is card/hardware issue, a config issue or driver issue.  I searched the lenovo site for an updated driver but the download section doesn't even list the broadcom adapter driver at all, just intel, liteon and something else. I called Lenovo support and of course they said since my adpater card was in fact connecting then it was fine and they wanted to charge me to fix the problem... Please help !!

Answer:G780 with Broadcom Wireless - VERY slow

WOw, no responses here, must not be a well traveled site/forum. Well, I solved my problem finally, I got a new cisco N750 dual band router and that worked well for wireless connection finally, must have been some incompatibility issues with that older router and the new broadcom wireless card.  Was still having a few problems with overall connection to the internet so i swapped out my old mediacom modem for a new motorola 6121 modem and reconfiged the setup again and now everything is back to normal, well above normal really cause now I am getting 23-28mbps download speed when I am privisioned for 15mbps, but that is during the day mon-fri.  Ill see how it does during high traffic periods.... so far so good !!

Hello,After an upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit from Windows 7 on my ProBook 645 G1 Series laptop, I have been experiencing random bluescreens related to the bcmwl63a.sys driver.  This only occurs when it is utilizing the wireless connection and does not occur if connected via an ethernet cable. I have tried the latest driver from the HP site 7.35.290.0, and the latest driver 7.35.308.0 from the Microsoft Update. It is less frequent with the latest update, but still happens.  I have captured the latest dump here and pasted below.  I really don't want to always run my laptop on a wired connection, so does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.Nathan ----------- WinDbg Dump ----------------------Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 10.0.10240.9 AMD64Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. I have a new Acer laptop with a Broadcom network adapter and can connect to a 802.11b wireless router but I couldn't connect to the router at the village library which I think has 802.11g. How do I know for sure how to set my Broadcom network adapter so it can connect to an 802.11g signal. What settings should I look for. I checked my computer's device manager but couldn't get a model number for the Broadcom adapter. I have windows vista home premium 32bit on my Acer Extensa 5420-5038.

Answer:What settings for my Broadcom wireless card

Getting the right and exact model number for the Broadcom is really key.

Try Everest Home Edition to get the specs.
Download from here and run it
- Click Reports->Report Wizard
- Get a Summary report in plain text
- You can attach the report or just copy / paste the info on your network adapter right into your post as that alone won't be alot of text

btw... most adapters are set for b&g (tho of course won't know for sure till the model number) tho have you check with the library if there are any other connection criteria?
