I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have Lenovo yoga 500-ISK and it has touch screen, but I have a problem with it as it doesn't work when I turn the laptop on. The touch screen is totally dead until I go to the device manager and disable and then enable an usb driver that is showing an error message. The message is: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). Then after I have disabled and enabled it, it just disappears. I have also tried to disable the features which allow the computer to shut down devices to save power. All the drivers are up to date and the laptop has been sent to the repair center twice. The lcd screen and motherboard has been replaced. both, I and the repaircenter have ran extensive tests and none of them has found anything. I just can't think any other solution than asking lenovo for a replacement device. If anyone has had similar problems and has managed to solve them, it woud be nice if you could help me in this. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi,

I bought Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK (i7 6200, 8GB RAM, 1TB, 2GB Nvidia). Machine performance is not as good what the specs looks. Machine took quite long to startup initally, when you close lid the machine goes into standby/sleep mode but upon opening the lid machine doesnt show up anything on screen and BIOS setting shows System Memonry a RAM as 0MB.

This machine has already been replaced once as it was brand new and found these issues 2 days after buying, they gave me a new machine but new also has same issues. I updated all drivers, windows update and even tried one key recorvery (also windows 10 reset - remove everything). But problems remained same.

Upon searching found that it was issues with other Yoga 500 machines too had same issues and there were some URGENT BIOS fixes. Being techinical guy at first thought did not try using the BIOS utility on this machine as model number were different (In list of machine supported this machine was listed). After trying hands on other solutions, I tried running the BIOS utility and it failed (as expected - This BIOS utility is not for this model).

I can take machine back to retailer but know the problem even if they give me new machine again will have the problem in that too.

The BIOS update are not available for this machine is huge disappointment. Even when tried reaching the LENOVO support in UAE no solution was provided (as they redirected to local service center  which I dont w... Read more

Answer:Yoga 500-14ISK - Black Screen When Opening Lid Bac...

Hi All, I had also bought the Yoga 500 i7 (14ISK), had same issue of closing the lid sending to sleep. What I found was that when I booted the machine first time its BIOS was updated from DC25WW to DC27WW which created all the issue. I some how found same machine with older BIOS which was working pefrectly fine. So I suggest go to below link download and install the latest BIOS i.e. DC28WW as it has resolved my problem http://support.lenovo.com/ae/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/300-series/300s-14isk/downloads/ds1053... Please have a look at the supported system in list from above link, or else try finding the BIOS for your laptop model. Hope this helps everyone. Regards,Mahesh

I have a white light in the shape of a circle that is staying on. It appears to be behind the screen but stays on like a stuck pixel. It is about 2 or 3mm in diameter. The brightness of the dot goes up and down with the screen brightness but is always brighter than the screen. It's visible on light backgrounds more than dark. It's not easy to see in a photo but I attached one. The dot is beneath the 'r' in 'brightness.' Any ideas how to fix this? My laptop just went out of warranty in April.

I have been suffering the, what seems common, screen flicker issue with my yoga 500 when on battery. After reading through some threads i discovered the problem was either, Drivers or Bios. After trying both drivers from lenovo themselves, and the latest from intel/nvidia the problem still remained.i then tried updating the bios. After windows shut down, the Phoenix bios updater stated a message that the bios had been sucessfully updated. The laptop then restarted and no longer posts or goes into windows. The Nova button also has no function and just causes the keyboard to illuminate and the fan to spins for 10 seconds before stopping.(Same as power button)Any advice?

Received my ThinkPad Yoga today - i7 ? 8 Gb - 256 Gb SSD - Win 8.1 pro ? One major problem ? the touch screen stops responding to finger intermittently. It always responds to the stylus. Updated all the Lenovo drivers and did Windows updates. When it stops responding, the only way to get it to work is by doing a shut down ( restart does not work ). Read the forums and disabled and enabled HID-compliant vendor-defined device. That did not make any difference. Is this a common issue and is there a software fix for it or is it just a faulty screen?

Answer:Thinkpad Yoga 20CDCTR1WW - Touch Screen not responding to touch - intermittent

Hi Waferthin,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

I?m sorry to hear that you are facing the issue with Touch screen on ThinkPad Yoga.

To resolve the issue please follow the below troubleshooting steps.

Remove the Wacom touch gesture driver in the device manager and make sure to check "uninstall driver" when you do so otherwise the touch will stop working again a minute later.
And after that restart the system and the touch screen driver will automatically install.
In services.msc restart human interface device service to run automatically.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Hemanth Kumar

I've lost the use of my keyboard, but not the touch pad. Restarting and converting to table mode and back doesn't correct the issue. Thoughts? I'm not sur where to go from here. Could the keyboard be physically dead?

Answer:Yoga 2 Keyboard not working, but touch pad and touch screen fine

You should test the keyboard in the BIOS menu and see whether it works. 1) Press on the recovery button (next to the power button, you may need a small screwdriver). https://www.flickr.com/photos/lead_org/11617761143/in/set-721576390073780542) Then there is an option menu for entering recovery, bios, etc. https://www.flickr.com/photos/lead_org/14512183979/in/set-72157639007378054Use your keyboard and see whether it works in that option menu. If it doesn't work then it is a faulty keyboard.

Hi all, First of all, I know there were already 2 topics regarding this issue, but I have to create this topic because those 2 topics were marked 'Solved' and the solution there were not helping in my case at all. Symtoms:- In the beginning, it worked well even after upgraded to Windows 8.1, after some point, touch screen did not work anymore- There was a time that the touch did not work, I had to open the laptop 360 degrees, then put it back to normal so touch can work, but now it didn't fix the situation anymore- In 'Control Panel\System and Security\System', it shows that "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display"- In Device Manager, there is only 1 USB Input Device in Human Interface Devices (Hardware ID is USB\VID_2047&PID_0855)- There is no unidentified or conflicted devices What I have tried:- Install all Lenovo's drivers- Install old Intel Graphic driver- Reinstall windows 8.1- Reinstall windows 8- Disabled and enable all HID and USB devices- I lost the backup partition somehow so I cannot use OneKey Recovery Could anybody help me with this? I really appreciate all your help! I believe that there are many people had the same problem like me and have nowhere to turn to. Hope this can help them as well if it is solved!

Has anyone noticed that every once in a while, a Yoga screen becomes unresponsive to touch?  I use mine mostly in tablet mode, and sometimes out of the blue, I can no longer do anything with the screen.  I have to use the power button to put the laptop to sleep, and then press it again to wake--everything works again after that.  So I'm wondering why that happens.  Is it a touchscreen driver crashing?  Has anyone found whether there's some driver version that works better or else another solution?  P.S.: Im using all the latest drivers I could find, including the latest Intel display driver.  No other issues at all other than this one.

Answer:Yoga 2 Pro: touch screen stops responding to touch sometimes

I have not had this issue, but is it possible that it has something to do with transitioning in and out of tablet mode?   In my normal usage I have to fold the screen about halfway closed to set my T2P down which puts the device in tablet mode.  Occasionally, when I open it back up the keyboard and touchpad do not respond.  If I close it most of the way then reopen, it snaps back to laptop mode and all is OK.  Your issue may be completely unrelated, but I am offering it in case it jogs some other thoughts.

Hey everybody, I just received my P40 last week as a replacement for another Lenovo device. So far, everything seems to work fine with one exception: When I turn the screen over to the "tablet position", the touch screen and the touch pen show erroneous behaviour.a) As soon as I make the first input with the touch pen, I cannot make any further input with my finger, so the touch input is simply turned off. The Windows setting to ignore touch input when the stylus is used is not active.b) When I try to tap buttons at certain areas of the screen, especially at the upper edge, the cursor of the stylus starts jumping around and shows up at the lower edge of the screen. That means that when I for example tap on the "X" symbol in the upper right corner to close a window, I actually click on some of the symbols in the system tray in the lower right corner. This problem stops occuring as soon as the angle between the two case parts (screen and keyboard) reaches/exceeds approx. 40°. It does not matter if Windows is in "Tablet" or "Desktop" Mode. I already tried to manually install another Wacom driver mentioned at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-S-Series-ThinkPad-Yoga/Wacom-Tablet-Service-for-ISD-Driver-Win... and https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile/P40-Yoga-issues/td-p/3293985. I had no luck trying driver versions 7.3.3.12, 7.3.4.8 and 7.3.4.13. I would really appreciate your help since this issue makes working in the tablet position... Read more

Hello, My Thinkpad Yoga is connected to a large display through ThenkPad docking station.  Its lid is closed.   During my work, from time to time I see random touch clicks on my screen, and random opening of menus.  It is clear that the touch screen is active although the lid is closed.  When I open the lid, and still connected just to the 2nd display (large screen) display the phenomena stops.  Worth noting is that although only the 2nd display shows an image, the laptop touch screen is still sensetive to touch.  This is I guess why the random touches show up on the screen -- it feels the keyboard not fingers. I expect the touch screen to be disabled while the lid is closed or when projecting only to the 2nd screen.  The solution of opening the lid while connected to the docking station is not acceptable.  Lenovo's local support suggestion to disable touch for the Yoga is also not acceptable -- people purchase Yoga to get Touch.   A solution please! Yaron

Answer:Lenovo Yoga Idea Pad Yoga 11 S touch screen issue

Hello Dws520Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. Was this the creators update?
If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:
https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht503655

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hi guys! On my new TPY the touch screen on the left hand side (the side where the charger is connected) is unresponsive. The pen however works perfectly fine. I have already run the lenovo software update tool and updated/installed all the drivers so I wonder what might be the culprit here...? Best,Chris

if the left hand screen touch is unresponsive, then it is a hardware problem. You would need to send in for service.

I received my Lenovo Yoga 3 14 yesterday.  Everything seems to be working great with the exception of the touch screen.  The far left side works well (about two inches worth) then a large dead spot from top to bottom to the far right.  The right one inch works as well.  What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to fix it?  Firmware or is it just the screen itself? Any tips or ideas would be greatly apprecaited.  I am very disappointed.

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 3 14 80JH-00LNUS Touch Screen Dead Spot (Half Screen)

Yes, same problem here. It gets worse: random ghost touches (hands nowhere near the screen) and dead spots in random places. 2 long phone calls to UK help centre - they seem to be unaware of these issues. Re-installed several drivers but hard to see any improvement as these glitches appear randomly. Not sure if anyone who has any power actually looks at these threads.

I've had no problems with my yoga 2 pro for over a month, but last night I decided to do windows updates.  This is the model with the i7, and 8gb of ram.  I let it update and then restarted it.  After it started up, I tried to swipe the cover screen up, but nothing was happening.  I then decided to use the mouse, and soon realized that the touch screen was unresponsive.  I've tried to restore the computer to before the updates, but it hasn't fixed the problem.  I can still switch to tablet and stand mode, etc. and the screen will rotate, but I can not get the touch screen to respond to anything.  I tried to install some drivers, but none of them are for the touch screen as far as I know, and nothing else seems to work.  Does anyone know a fix, or maybe know of a driver I need to install?

Hi, I've been using the Yoga 3 pro for the last month and have two touch screen issues:
1. Sometime after waking up the screen gets crazy with many circles on screen like many fingers are touching it. Only after restart it comes up as needed. Can't understand the reason for that.
2. In the office I'm using ThinkPad USB 3 Dock. The Yoga's lid is closed and I'm using external keyboard, mouse, and screen. every few minutes the screen gets crazy and it looks like something is touching the touch screen and the cursor runs to one corner of the screen (usually lower left or lower right) of course then I can't work and I have to open the lid and close it to make it work properly again.
Any Ideas? Thanks

hi yoga3user1,

Welcome to the Forums.

Can you try the following:

Issue #1:
- Follow this guide on how to disable Automatic Driver Installation
- Under the Device Manager > Human Interface Devices, right click and uninstall on anything that says HID-compliant device (this is to refresh the driver that controls the touchscreen) and observe.

Issue #2:
As suggested by francoeur500 in this thread, can you try to uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power setting on all USB Root Hubs under Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controller and also in the Power Options and observe.

I have started using the touchscreen on this new Yoga 700 and I liked it at first, but I noticed that while scrolling, pages often open by accident...and it happens often. It ruins the experience.   How do I make it less sensitive? Should only open when i push , not swipe. I want to roll through the page and only select and open things i want to be opened.  Also, is there a way to not show the pointer finger icon? I dont really want to see that.

It's weird that in the page, it is too sensitive, but when i switch tabs up top, i have to push harder to activate that and sometimes it doesnt work on first tap. Must need to change settings or something. Where do i go to tweak those settings?

Answer:Yoga 700 - Touch screen - a bit too sensitive

Hi GM,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
You can adjust the touchpad sensitivity using the following steps:

Press Windows Key + X
Select Control Panel
Click View by, then select Small icons
Select Mouse, then click the furthest tab on the right (should be labelled Elan or Device Settings)
You should have an option to adjust sensitivity in this menu.

I hope this information is helpful.

Hello, I recently upgraded the mechanical hard drive that came with my Yoga 11E to an ssd. I ran Lenovo system update and then Windows Update. But the touchscreen is not working. Under device manager there are a few exclamation points. Under Human Interface Devices there are 2 entries for I2C HID both have a warning. I tried to update them but it says they driver is update and the exclamation point remains. I am not sure if this is the reason why my touch screen is not working but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Answer:Yoga 11E Touch Screen Not Working

I am having the same problem. After reimaging, touch screen is not responding. I too checked device manager and found there are 2 human interface device drivers with exclamation points, named I2c HID. A search found Intel device drivers on Lenovo support site and  I downloaded and installed the drivers (n15hc03w.exe). The status of the drivers on device manager did not change. I tried to update these drivers and pointed to the local folder drivers\win\I2C onbut got a message saying "drivers for device are up to date' . Tried 'scan for hardware' still no change to these Human Interface Device. Hi, I have recently (Dec 2015) purchased a Yoga 11e. The touch screen function has stopped working. Both Windows 10 and Lenovo Support apps say that all updates are in place. Answer:Yoga 11e Touch Screen not working

I had the same problem.  After performing a clean-install of Windows 10 Pro (Did not like all that blotware that Lenovo puts in these systems) and "thinking" that I had installed all drivers, I found that touchscreen did not work.  I solved it by RE-installing the i2c drivers (downloaded from Yoga 11e support page).  It was confusing because there was nothing in Device Manager that indicated any drivers were missing, plus when I ran the .exe file for the i2c drivers all it did was "extract" the files, but it did not install anything! So here is how I went about it:  Opened device manager, clicked on "system devices" to locate the i2c device.  I looked for anything with "i2c" in it, and saw 2 entries: "Intel Atom Celeron Pentium Processor............i2c........[etc, etc]".  I went ahead and manually installed the drivers: right-clicked the item, clidked "update driver software", clidked "browse my computer for driver software", and navigated to where the driver files had been extracted to-as explained above.  After the drivers were installed successfully, the names of the devices changed to "i2c controller".  Rebooted the computer and VOILA! The touch screen worked again! Opened "control panel", "system" and there it said: "Touch Support With 10 Touch Points"

After turning on my 910 and useing the touch screen for awhile it usually always stops working on me. Say I want to pause a YouTube video or click an Internet link, when I touch the screen it only registers that touch as the right click of the mouse. Hopefully that makes sense, when I try to touch what I want on the screen it brings up the right click options menu.  When I restart my computer it stops this problem but it eventually comes back again.

I have a Yoga 11e and recently installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise on the device.  After installation the touch screen was no longer functoning at all.  I have downloaded every Chipset, Mouse and Key Board, Software and Utility driver found on the Lenavo website.  When i go to the device manager under Human Interface Devices I have two yellow triangles for I2C Device and when I click on Proerties they both tell me " This device is currently waiting on another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51)". I have installed the GPIO drvier from the lenavo website as per other posting about non-functioning touch screens.  This has not repaired the problem.  I need some assistance or a driver for the touchscreen.

Hello people! Shortly what has happened and what has been done. Machine arrived, not our companys common brand. Anyway, Well first action was to install windows 10(1607) from USB stick. Win 10 Enterprise clean. And plan was after that update the drivers. Yes and all partitions were cleaned during the installation. So no going back with those.  After installing everyhing. Touch screen is not working. I went trough the one topic that is located here on the page. Found the wacom firmware update package and updated all that was inside the package. Did use lenovo system update tool for updating everything imaginable there was. Also bios was update. At one point when I did the wacom firmware updates the PEN actually worked. But at that time the touch with finger didn't work. Well at that point I did continue updating and removing of devices/drivers and reinstalling. Well in the end I was again on the same situation that nothing on the "touch" screen works. Has anyone else had these experiences? I have started thinking that maybe there is actually some real malfunction on the touch screen.Last thing I have done is I tried to install the first release of windows 10 from usb. This came to state where it asks for country localization information and when I continue from there it just reboots and takes my back to that screen. So I'm in loop with that. I also strated to think about ordering the recovery media for the machine...but it would take time to ... Read more

Our Yoga has totally and completely stopped responding to touchscreen inputs. Completely out of the blue, no warning signs. Don't know if it was recently after a Win10 update. No other problems with the computer. I've tried updating all HID drivers through Device Manager with no success either. Any suggestions for what to check before we call it a hardware failure and try to either replace the screen or the laptop?

Hello, I recently upgraded the mechanical hard drive that came with my Yoga 11E to an ssd. I ran Lenovo system update and then Windows Update. But the touchscreen is not working. Under device manager there are a few exclamation points. Under Human Interface Devices there are 2 entries for I2C HID both have a warning. I tried to update them but it says they driver is update and the exclamation point remains. I am not sure if this is the reason why my touch screen is not working but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi, Since installing Windows 10, I am unable to use any functions of the touch screen.  I had a lot of trouble with the mouse pad not deactivating with the button (as I use a plug in mouse most of the time) but I managed to sort that by uninstalling the driver and reinstalling direct from Lenovo. However, the touch screen is making me come to my wits end.  I just cannot for the life of me sort it.  Windows tell me that "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this display" Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I read this on another forum while after selecting a link on this forum. It seems to have gotten rid of the edge double swipe. "I got a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga this weekend (loving it!) but noticed an annoying quirk ? the different Windows 8 edge swipe actions seemed to require two swipes. A few reviews have run into this as well, such as this one from ZDNet.Once you got it reacting to your swipes, though, everything was instantaneous. After experimentation, it turns out that not touching the screen for about 4 seconds was enough to put it into this double-swipe mode ? which is evidence of some sort of sleep mode.It turns out that this doesn?t just cause edge swipes to go missing ? it causes a general feel of sluggishness and lack of reaction. You click a button, and it doesn?t register. You click again, and it finally does. After a bunch of digging and unrelated searches, it turns out that it is indeed a sleep mode issue ? the driver for the touch screen has the option enabled to let Windows put it to sleep. The solution is simple:Open Device ManagerGo to "Human Interface Devices"Go to the last USB Input Device (my Yoga has two), then "Properties"Open "Power Management"Unselect "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"."

Hi, My screen suddenly stopped working as touch screen (it works in normal mode with the screen and the touchpad). The first times I restarted the computer several times until it worked, also to connect to the network seemed to help; however this time didn't do the trick. I used Lenovo Solution Center, and it didn't show any problem. I checked and updated the drivers in the Lenovo Yoga Mode Control and it seems I'm up-to-date. Now it doesn't want to change to tablet mode automatically anymore, neither to switch the screen to portrait. Thanks in advance for the help.

Answer:Yoga 15 touch screen not working

Good day and welcome to the community.

Assuming that the system board replacement was done by Lenovo Support, I'd recommend that you contact them to discuss what might need to be done to resolve the issue. If the system board replacement was done by a third-party provider, I'd recommend contacting that provider.

It's been happening for a few hours and I tried resrating it sevreal times. It's starting to get really troublesome. Not the first time I've had problems with the touch screen. Any advice on what to do?

Answer:yoga 13 touch screen going crazy!

I have exactly the same problem. Symptons include... (whith my hands behind my back, and the screen either partially open or folded completely back) I can see the mark/icon/image of a finger-on-screen click, clicking frantically near the center of the screen. andThe homescreen changes zoom, as if I am using finger gestures to zoom in or out.andWhat appears to be an attempted at a finger swipe up from below the screen, but not succedding. Restart will sometimes temporarily resolve the problem (although less and less often). All drivers are updated. Screen is very clean.  Hopeful for a suggestion of a genuine fix or even a hack - just to let me use my new toy!!!

Answer:Yoga 900 Touch screen fault

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to say it, but this sounds more like a hardware problem with the touchscreen rather than a software issue with the driver. And there have been no updates of that driver that I am aware of.

I suggest that you send the Yoga to a service center, and get it checked out. I assume that it will still be under warranty, so it will just cost time rather than money. Make sure that you have backups of your data before sending. Service centers have a habit of reimaging machines back to the factory installation.

Hi All, I just bought an 11" Yoga 710 and have an intermittent problem with the touchscreen coming unresponsive. Its normally ok when I start the machine up, but after a while the screen will come unresponsive so I switch to notebook mode and then most of the time it will come back after a few minutes. I've done a search and tried some of the tricks posted a few years back, turn power management off some of the HID items and disabling them as well. None appear to be a solution.I can provoke the unresponsive ness by opening Facebook in Edge, but it has also happened on other webpages and also when using Spotify.Does anyone have any ideas?

So my keyboard got wet, and I'm wait?ng to get it fixed, and have been us?ng touch until now just fine. Now from a single tap on the screen it blacks as if it went to sleep, moving the mouse wakes the  screen. Now I know it's software, because a two finger scroll on the touch pad, and so far only that, causes the same thing to happen. I tried looking up various queries on google, but have  yet to find anything useful. Is there a hardware event log  similar tto what's available on linux? Or does Windows not have this? Any ways, i cant be hen pecking my words out on the OSKeyboard, with the touch pad.

I ran updates, and rebooted... but what's weird, is even though it's fixed I now can't even figure out what that problem was without some sort of log. So Yes: it's fixed. Close and mark as solved, I guess. It's still really weird that it happened right before software updates became available to me.

Answer:YOGA 500 14ISK (IPS or not)

Hi Halina,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Checking on the machine number 80R5003HUK Yoga 500-14ISK Laptop (IdeaPad) - Type 80R5:
Original OEM part number from parts lookup: Part Number: 5D10K42173 LCD Module W 80R3 FHD W/BEZEL

Yoga-500-14ISK marketed also from multiple resellers (here, here and here) with FHD Multi-touch IPS.

It is possible that replacement display from original part number 5D10K42173 (highlighted for Lenovo encompass pricing) with cheaper IBM compatible screen or other resellers that would also work with the model similar to Chi Mei CMN14A7 TN screens.

Hope this help answer your query.

Hey there.I just got a Yoga 500-14ISK too and I ran into a thread (here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-100-305-500-Edge/FLex-3-Video-card-Mathematical-Operatio... where guys were having similar issues, as well as the Lenovo Companion app detecting hardware errors. I don't have black screen issues but it does tell m I have an Intel HD 520 hardware problem. What they suggested is that the laptop is "too new" for the drivers and Lenovo has acknowledged the issues. (see here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht105222) Some people fixed the black screen problem by manually installing these drivers:https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25620/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-6th...Hope this helps!

Hi guys,  So I have had a yoga 13 for about a year now (love it), however I have come across a minor issue that started occuring about 3-5 months ago. When I open up my yoga from sleep mode,  hibernation, turn it on, or restart my everything works for a couple of seconds and then randomly bubbles with about a half inch diameter start popping up, usually in a horizontal fashion across my screen from about an inch down from the top of the display. These are the bubbles I am referering to are the visual effect when a finger touches the screen and expand into boxes when the touch is held for roughly a second or longer. However these rogue bubbles seem to spawn without cause or warning, and resultingly keep me from controlling my cursor with my track pad, touch screen, or an external mouse once they appear. It is also worth noting that when I made my yoga 13 purchase I also 2 more for family members, neither of their yogas share this complication. Though this case might seem drastic, however in reality it is small and somewhat trivial as I have found a trick that by rubbing my finger around on the touch screen eradically the bubbles dissapear and release my cursor from the binds of their possession. The problem is solved until the lid closes, sleep, hibernate, shut down, or restart, at which I am required to rinse and repeat this pesky process. With that in mind, I am seeking help, suggestions, solutions, and possibly an exorcist for my problem. Hi I recently purchased my Lenovo Yoga 720 off of Amazon (less than a month). After going through all the Windows and BIOS updates through Lenovo Companion, I ran into an issue where the touch screen would stop responding. Sometimes upon start up, the touch screen would be unresponsive up until a restart/shut down. Sometimes even restarting/shutting down wouldn't solve the problem. The touch screen was unresponsive more times than responsive during the duration I've owned this laptop. I read in Lenovo forums that factory resetting the laptop and disabling updates would alleviate the problem. I did so through Windows 10's hard disk wiping feature. I disabled automatic updates through Command Prompt and didn't run any updates through Lenovo Companion. This seems to have fixed the issue for the most part, however, I still notice that sometimes the touch screen will stop responding after waking the computer from "Display Off."  Is this a problem such as that with the fan noise, that was fixed months later in a BIOS update? Has anyone been able to use the touch screen flawlessly? Sometimes mid-way through laptop usage, the touch screen will become unresponsive and then become responsive minutes or seconds later. I'll probably continue to use the laptop with automatic updates turned off, but that would mean I miss the current updates and have to constantly check forums to verify that the problem is fixed     Could anyone offer insight into this?

Three times when Windows 10 has done its updates, the touch screen has quit working on my Yoga 3. The first time, tech support had me remove several drivers which did not solve the solution, but caused the computer to no longer work. After restoring the system all worked well, but a few weeks later when the touch screen no longer worked again. Once again, the only solution tech support could offer was to restore the system, which I did again. After reinstalling all my apps, all was well until the next update. Now I again no longer have a touch screen. It's a big chore to reinstall all programs. I don't really want to do it again. Anybody else had problems like this. Is this a hardware problem in this particular computer? I can't find others with the problem.

I have ben dealing with problems with this touch screen since I got the laptop.  It has been continuously ghosting, while it got better after the June update, it still ghosts without touches, until you start using the touch screen.  When using the touch screen it starts drawing gray lines in between the point im touching and the point its ghosting to (the lines arent always direct). I recently wiped my the drive, reimaged to a backup from april and tried reupdating it.  When I got to the touch screen drivers, I got through the initial setup and told it to open the update when finished but the machine froze.  Now when I try to reinstall, I get to the finish page on the update tools install, have it open the updater, but the program immediately closes.Any help would be much appreciated.

However, the I2C and GPIO driver is not getting installed. It says "The platform is not supported". Also, the touchscreen is not working at all. What should I do?

I have a yoga 700 and the  HID compliant touch screen driver is completely gone. From what I understand this is something that has been happening to people using Lenovo laptops/tablets in the last year. I'm sure the only fix is to be shown where to actually re-download the driver. I have gone into device manager and have searched though all of the possible drivers I could find manually. I'm really upset that my lenovo is no longer a touch screen, it's why I bought it to begin with. Does Lenovo actually have a driver it can give it's customers? It's been over a year and most people who have had this problem STILL have it. Please help.

The touch creen for my 2016 Yoga 260 laptop has stopped functioning. I've tried updating the drivers, disabling and re-enabling the touchscreen, and restarting the computer. The touch screen is not disabled by power saving settings. There was some kind of error that occured 3 days ago, but I do not have the technical knowledge to interpret this output. I've attached a screencap to this post. I would appreciate if anyone has suggestions for what to do next. Thanks!

Hi,So, this just started happening on my 3 month old YOGA 500 - The touch screen stops working every couple of hours. Each time it stops i go to the Device Manager, and under Human Interface Devices i can't find either HID-compliant touch screen or USB input device. The problem resolves each time after a hard reset (and the devices appear in the device manager), then reappears after 2-3 hours. The system is: Lenovo Yoga 500 14ISK, Windows 10 1511 build 10586.164Any idea what's going on?Thanks,Vlad.

Answer:Lenovo yoga 500 - touch screen keeps disappearing ...

Hey there, I have a 2 month old Yoga 500-14ISK and I had the same issue. The temporary wokaround for me was to search in device manager under "USB controllers" and when the touchscreen died there would be a USB device with "Device Descriptor Failed" next to it in the USB section. Disabling that device and then re-enabling it would make the touchscreen work again. To completely fix the issue, I had to use a factory reset with the Novo button (pinhole next to the power button) and since then despite wiping the OS of my settings and apps, now I've updated all drivers and such again and I've had no further problems with the touchscreen.

To fix CS6 issue, there are few things you can try -
1) Right click on Desktop and select "Screen Resolution".
2) Set desktop resolution to 1920*1080
3) Click on "Make text and other items smaller or larger"
4) Use the slider to make them larger,
5) Restart.
6) Launch the game and change the in-game resolution to an optimal level where you can see all text properly.

I love this notebook when I have a monitor plugged in, but internal display is horrible as I cant see anything in many applications because of the 4k resaloution.  Is there a way to have it set so I can read the applications when I unplug my exxternal monitor?  Having to constantly scale every time I unplug is not fun, and I cannot get it quite right. Thanks in advance

My recently purchased X1 Yoga touch screen has stopped working. Things I've tried to so far: Updating all drivers for BIOS and other devicesDisabling and re-enabling the touchscreen device and Wacom HID device in Device ManagerUninstalling touch screen device and Wacom HID Device in Device ManagerUnchecking "allow computer to turn off this device to save power"Reboot from safe modeRestore Windows to factory defaultFor clarifications the pen is working just fine.  I was able to get the touchscreen back for awhile by uninstalling the Wacom device in Device Manager and rebooting. That fix doesn't work anymore. I'm really frustrated by this - not even restoring windows to factory default fixes the problem. I've looked online for many hours on this issue and pretty much tried everything suggested. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I got my Yoga 2 11 in February. It worked beautifully until about a month ago. Suddenly, the touch screen quit working. At first, it would occassionally turn back on, but eventually even that quit. I didn't load any new software, nor were there any updates done. Now, under PC Info, it says "No Pen and Touch input is available for this display." I've tried every suggestion I could find from turning off power settings to downloading a graphics driver, which my system couldn't run. Nothing has worked. All I have now is a small laptop! Any new suggestions?

Just bought a new yoga 11s. As soon as it started I had issues with touch screen and touchpad. -The touch screen constantly "taps" in one random area of the screen without me touching anything. It makes the laptop nearly unusable, so I disabled the touchscreen. -The touchpad works okay, except at random intervals it will "turn off". Clicks and scrolls randomly don't get registered for a second, then it starts working again. Any help would be appreciated. I really want to avoid  sending this laptop back. I need a laptop for work.

Answer:yoga 11s touch screen and touchpad problems

Random clicks are signs of micro screen cracks. That means that the screen is cracked internally, even if you can't see it. I would swap it out if you can.

Hi everyone, I am experience a lot of problems with the touch screen on my Yoga 3 14. At least once a day I am getting ghost touches, i.e. it starts thinking that the screen is being pressed when it isn't. It closes windows, opens the keyboard and types, etc. I've noticed it mostly in laptop mode, but that may be because that's how I use it most of the time. For now I resort to putting it into hibernation or having to do a full reboot, and it fixes it for a while but always starts up again. It happens in different places on the screen, usually just one at a time but occasionally multiple touches. I've had the laptop for 2 months and have had the problem since week 1 or 2.  Is there any solution to this besides calling support and having them replace the screen/other parts?

Answer:Yoga 3 14 Ghost touches on touch screen

hi hucktopia,

Welcome to the Forums.

Your problem might be similar to this thread.

If you barely use the Touchscreen to navigate around, can you try these steps to disable the feature:
1. Press the Windows key? +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter (this should open the Device Manager).
2. On the Device Manager, click View > Show Hidden Devices and under Human Interface Devices section, uninstall the HID-compliant device touch screen (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen).
    - Sample image

3. When finished, reboot the system and observe.

If the above procedure works, you should be able to use the system normally but I recommend that you report the issue by contacting lenovo support.
