Time and date not working on lenovo yoga 2 pro

Question: Time and date not working on lenovo yoga 2 pro

Lately the time and date on my Lenovo yoga 2 pro are always off by one day and one hour. Even when I change them back to the normal date and time manually, they return to the incorrect date and time. How can I fix this?

Preferred Solution: Time and date not working on lenovo yoga 2 pro

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Time and date not working on lenovo yoga 2 pro

Turn off your computer. Press the OKR button (small button next to the power button). Select BIOS> Set the proper time and date.

Hello, I was told by a Lenovo sales rep two weeks ago that 4/4 was the release date for the 900s. However skeptical I called in this morning and the rep I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. Yet another example how bad customer service is at Lenovo.  With that said, is there anybody that knows the release date for this laptop? Every review I?ve read said March. :-( By the time this laptop comes out the specs will be a lot less attractive. I am running a Yoga 2 Pro i7 with a Samsung 850 EVO so it will be hard to top.

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 900s Release date

I spoke by chat today with a Lenovo sales rep (Mike) and he told me Lenovo didn't know at this time if it would ever be release.  When I asked why he said they already had business laptops in that range and he didn't see the need for the 900s.  After much back and forth to make sure we were talking about the same computer, he confirmed that he was talking about the 900s.   Frankly i don't think he knew what he was talking about because when I mentioned it had a 12" screen he corrected me to say it was 13.3" (which is wrong).  So go figure.

Dear All. I purchased lenovo G505 laptop and it is just asking date and time at start and i have no idea how to install windows 7 because i have no idea how to boot it from cd and second question is that can i install windows because it is recommended that windows 8 or windows 8.1 is compatible and i received a cd of drivers which are windows 8 or windows 8.1 then how can i find windows 7 compatible drivers.

Answer:LENOVO G505 asking date and time at stratup

hi TahirJavaid,

If you got the G505 without an OS and wanted to install Windows 7 in legacy mode, you will need to set the following settings in the BIOS (if applicable) together with the date and time:

Configuration Tab:
Date and Time

Security Tab:
Secure Boot = Disabled

Boot Tab:
Boot Mode = Legacy
Boot Priority = Legacy First

Exit Tab:
OS Optimized Defaults = Other OS

In addition, if you'll be using a bootable Win7 installer, you will need to set USB Boot = Enabled

As for the Windows 7 drivers, you can find them at the G505 drivers page.

Regards

Hello,

I have here two Lenovo Yoga 2 13 which initialy run with Windows 8.1. After the Windows 10 Upgrade this two laptops starts to throw the BSOD 133. There is no way to replicate the BSOD. The two laptops can work for a week without the BSOD and the next week the BSOD 133 happens every second day and after this it works again for a few days. It happens when the laptop is in use or when it just stand there - I didn't see any thing which is always the same so I could say this triggers the BSOD.
I made a clean install (removed everything - partitions and so on) of Windows 10 Home on one of this two Yogas. But the bluescreen wasn't fixed. Same like before. Bluescreenview tells me always the same drivers: igdkmd64.sys or hal.dll or hdaudbus.sys and always ntoskrnl.exe. I updated the sound and gfx driver and tweaked the energy settings but nothing what I try helps. Did I miss something in the minidump files and another driver is the problem?

Thank you
Thomas

Answer:BSOD 133 from time to time on two Lenovo Yoga 2 13

Hi hitzi,

Welcome to the 10forums

Please check Lenovo for driver updates for the touchpad drivers for the Windows 10 Home system, per the dumps and WER logs the Synaptics drivers look to be causing the crashes.

Please upload logs from the DM Log Collector for the Windows 10 Pro system, analysis for each system is required as 2 systems having the same BSODs does not mean the causes are the same.

Please fill in your system specsPlease follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely including PSU, cooling and other used stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor, case, etc.
The PSU, cooling and other stuff are NOT mentioned in the tool. How to fill in your system specs:

I have been facing this error since 2 days. It happened suddenly when I switched on my laptop and there was no display for few seconds and this error display with a beep "error 0271 check date and time". Manually I adjusted the time and date, bust this process has become a routine phenomenon whenever system is switched on after one or two hour of the shutdown.

Answer:Lenovo G 550 Error -0271 Check date n time

Sounds to me like you have a dead CMOS battery.   There should be access to the battery on the bottom of the unit.  It should be a replaceable battery - test it with a battery tester first.  If the battery is ok - you could have a hardware problem and will likely have to send it in for service.

Hi everyone, as the title states, my bios refuses to save settings except date and time, also in the boot menu it shows me these 3 entries:totally ignoring if there's another bootable device plugged in (so it doesn't show up)I tried to do various things, changed CMOS battery, reset bios to default settings, tried bios back-flash unfortunately, that option is set to off in bios, i even tried to set some values before booting, to see if these change just for that session, none of this worked. Also I'm not alone, i noticed another guy here, with the same problem. Is there anything I can do to solve that? my warranty has expired.

Hey guys, i've noticed this problem in the task bar: if you roll over an icon on the right an animation with a light underneath goes on; this happens for the 3 icons left to the clock but the clock animation isn't working, it just goes on and off when you roll over/away.

Is this a bug in w7 or mine is broken?

Thnx

Mine does that too so I wouldn't call it a bug.

My nokia Lumia 625 (WP 8.1, but problems allready existed before the 8.1 update) doesn't seem to set the date and time automatically even though I have checked the box in the settings.
When I set the time manually and then switch to auto the time stays on my correct manual time. But after I soft reset the phone the time goes back to fabric setting.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
P.S. It worked fine on my old android with the same carrier

Last week in a database I was developing I had 2 Date/Time fields set with General Date format. It was working perfectly last week where I would type in 10/24 12a and it would expand it out to 10/24/2007 12:00 AM for me.

Fast forward to today and it is now only recording the Date and not the time. I have changed nothing and on a rare occasion can get it to recognize the date and time in the datasheet view but never from the form.
Anyone else ever witness this and know the fix?

Thanks

DPH

Edit: Well I found what I believe is the issue.

If I type 10/26 11p it will convert to 10/26/2007 11:00 PM so the user can short hand the entry.
If I type 10/26 12a it will only show the date. So 1 minute around the entire clock will error.

We here at work have a few PC's from Lenovo with the same problem! When the PC gets updated to the newest version (BIOS) the time & date resets, after power off. This is NOT a CMOS problem, because all of the other settings in the BIOS doesn't reset. I here by wan't to request a older version of the BIOS or a new version that fixes this problem. I know there is a other threat going on, but it seems to be dead / No help from the Lenovo Support Team that seems to work or isn't clear enough. The BIOS version with the problem is: F1KT47A

I recieved my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 11e a couple of days ago and it came with a lot of bloatware, or at least what I thought was. I started uninstalling a lot and everything seemed to work fine. I restarted it, but when it came back, I noticed the touch screen would not work. I went into the Device Manager and realized that one of my I2C drivers had the triangle with the exclamation was on one of them. After trial and error, I realized that disabling and re-enabling the driver would allow my touch screen to work. After a restart, however, I was back to square one. My wife bought her the same Lenovo Yoga and I have been compairing the two. I just noticed that I am missing the I2C controllers in the System Devices in the Device Manager as well. I have tried booting from an installation from hers and even copying the drivers and System32 folder to no avail. If anybody has any solutions, please help. I have tried everything I knew and everything I could find. Thanks in advance.

Answer:Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 11e missing I2C driver. Drivers from lenovo website not working.

Hello and welcome,

What happens when you install the i2c driver for your machine?  Before doing so please verify the machine type (20D9, 20DA) as there's another machine type option available.  Downloads found by using SUPPORT above and entering Yoga 11e.

I have been a Lenovo customer for over ten years - the X200s is still the best laptop I've ever owned. I recently bought a Yoga 900 to replace it, and I have been nothing but frustrated and disappointed with it.   The list of issues in order of frustration -   - Within the first two weeks of purchasing this new, "high end" laptop, I closed the screen inadvertantly with the power cable draped across the keyboard.  Didn't do anything unusual, but the flimsy screen has popped and shattered the touchscreen layer, making the "Yoga" aspect of the Yoga rendered useless.  After enquiring about getting it repaired, was told I needed to ship it to some far away place, pay $200 just to have someone take a look at it, and that it was likely a $1,000 repair.  After just paying $2,000 for a new laptop - this is absurd.  I then tried to get it repaired at other places local to me, and was told that parts for it were unavailable from Lenovo.  I rely on my laptop for work, and cannot afford the delay of having it shipped overseas for repair for god knows how long. - The bluetooth constantly drops out, and now the driver completely malfunctions.  I am now in a position where it won't even allow me to reinstall the driver.  Bluetooth mouse rendered useless, cannot resolve. - Printers and scanners are incredibly frustrating to connect, and when they finally do, and function for a period of time, they randomly seem to lose... Dear all, probably after the last WINDOWS 10 update my USB ports don't work anymore. I see them correctly in the device manager but it seems like they are off (for instance, I plug my external mouse and it doesn't work). I've already tried to change power settings disabling the suspension for energy saving) and I've checked that the BIOS is the last one. I've also tried to unistall and reinstall USB ports but noting changed. Does anyone have any suggestion? Best regards, Mattia

I recently downgraded from Windows 10 to a Windows 7 operating system. When I downgraded I needed to disable secure boot and disable OS Optimized settings in the BIOS in order to boot from the USB drive to install Windows 7. When I reinstalled Windows 7 I did a clean install, put in my Windows 7 Key and installed all the necessary drivers. However, it seems that my USB 3.0 ports are not working. On the flip side, when I plug in my phone or a thumb drive into the USB ports, these devices are recognized in the BIOS. Also, I looked in the device drivers and it seems that my USB drivers are installed. There is, however, an unknown device, which in the details tab reads:IUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_9D2F&REV_0021&SID_504C17AAIUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_9D2F&REV_0021IUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_9D2F Attempted solutions: I tried to reset all BIOS settings back to factory settings but when I did that my OS would not start until I turned secure boot and OS Optimized Settings back off. Also I tried looking for drivers on the website but  could not find any to do with the USB 3.0 ports. Looking forward to any advice anyone can provide in me fixing this issues.

USB 3.0 wasn't supported back then. Doesn't work with Win 7. You have to stick to the 2.0 ports. Return to the original installed OS or Windows 10 for it to work.

Greetings, and thanks in advance for your help..

Awhile back I formatted my Windows 10 PCs to show ddd dd-mmm-yyyy on my taskbar clock. This worked happily on my desktop and laptop for months, maybe even a year +

Now (probably starting in the past couple days, if not today), on one of those two PC's, this format will no longer display. It is Okay on the other PC.
What has changed that the taskbar clock space used to expand to fit the "short date" format, but now it will no longer expand - and instead just refuses to display the date at all. (NOTE: I've verified the issue by testing shorter formats -- short formats, like "ddd" show up correctly. Only if you request a longer format will the date not display - evidently because it is too long for the clock area. )

Additional Notes that may help:

* "Working" pc is running build 10586 PC with too small a clock space that won't expand -- Build 14393

*Other differences: Notification/Action center Icon is left of clock on the working PC - Right of clock on the non-working
Right- Clicking on task bar gives "properties" option on working PC -- But "Settings" option on the non-working

( I don't want to prejudice responses - but clearly the implication to me is that some recent OS update is most likely the culprit.)

Thank You

Hi Guys! Please go through my complete message as it is very 'painful' experience you can ever come across when buying a laptop. The Lenovo Yoga is not available in Australia. So, I bought the Lenovo Yoga 13" orange i5 128GB from 'adorama.com' for US $999 + UPS shipping $105. Unfortunately the shippment attracted a custom of 185 AUD which I had to pay later. In total, I have already spent 1400 AUD.The UPS courier service delivered the shipment to my address an hour back i.e. today on 5th July,2013. I was very happy to receive the product but when I switched on the laptop, the screen is not working properly and is displaying a number of vertical colored lines. To confirm that it is the screen problem, I connected the laptop to my TV with a HDMI cable upon which I could see the windows display on the TV. This clearly establishes the fact that the laptop's screen is faulty. Next, when I checked the warranty number online it shows that warranty starts from three months earlier than my purchase date which clearly shows that someone registered the laptop before. Also, the charger I received with the laptop looks to be a used one with scratches and marks on it. I am afraid, the product I got from Adorama is damaged and maybe a refurbished one as the charger clearly looks to be used before. I am deeply disappointed with this incident as I was very excited to use that product and also importantly had lots of work to do with it.I contacted Adorama, and they are s... Read more

Never before have I had such a pathetic problem except maybe with laptops that are 6 years old. For further details I have the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13-inch Convertible Ultrabook (Orange) - (Intel Core i7 3537U 2.0GHz Processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Integrated Graphics, Windows 8) bought from amazon.co.uk ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00CA10NUE ). The screen lasted 6 days before dying. Just enough time for me to waste getting it perfectly set up before it died. There was nothing to indicate prior to the screen failing that it was going to fail. Turned it off one night and turned it on the next morning and the screen was only displaying the vertical bars. I'm going to try sending the Laptop back to Lenovo. I actually managed to get through to the Lenovo support - they have quite a good system of dropping the laptop off in a local shop that is then picked up by Lenovo, they reckon to have a turn around of 10 calendar days. I can recommend trying to call the Belgium helpdesk as Lenovo can never outsource the help desk people since they need to speak French and Dutch but usually they will also speak English - start the conversation with "Parlez vous anglais?" / "Spreek je engels?" . Admittedly it will be no use if you need to return the item, but if you just need a bit of technical support it might be a good way to go.

The screen is on but only the mouse arrow is visable, can anybody assist?

Answer:Lenovo yoga 2 screen not working

hi Gharri

Welcome to the Forums.

When you said  "the screen is on but only the mouse arrow is visable", do you mean the Touchscreen is not working?

If the touchscreen is not working, try the following steps:
1. Open system properties to determine if the OS is detecting the touch capability.
   - Link to picture (Touchscreen not working, proceed to Step 3)
   - Link to picture (Touchscreen is detected, proceed to Step 2)

2. Press the Windows key? +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the device manager, click view > show hidden devices and under Human Interface Devices section, uninstall the HID-compliant device touch screen (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen). When finished, reboot the system and observe.
    - Sample image

3. Turn off the machine and press the OneKey Recovery button and select System Recovery. On the menu, try to touch an item but don't proceed in doing the system recovery -- this is to check if the digitizer (the hardware part that enables touchscreen functionality) is working.

If the Touchscreen is working, boot back into Windows and backup important files then prooceed with the System Recovery.

If the Touchscreen is still not working even in the System Recovery menu then it's likely that the digitizer is faulty and you will need to contact le... Read more

My laptop is Lenovo Yoga 900. BIOS version C6CN39WW I'm not able to use USB "Always-on" port. When computer is on it works like charm, but it doesn't charge any devices when I turn the laptop off. In Lenovo settings everything is ok (toggle shows USB Always-on port is active). There's no "USB always on" setting in that version of BIOS. What am I doing wrong? Is it sth with drivers, or is it a hardware issue (but port generally is working).  I restored to factory settings but with no success.  KubaM

Hey guys, I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 13 that I got without a hard drive. It has the special SFF-8784 SATA connector. I purchased an adapter to convert the SFF-8784 connector to mSATA, but the laptop would not recognize the drive. I could not even see it in the bios. Is it because the mSATA was not supported or was there another issue? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

The camera has been working with Skype.  Now not working and camera icon on Skype screen has line across it showing camera not working/available.   In Device Manager I have checked that the device is available (Lenovo EasyCamera).  I have checked privacy settings and camera is on.  I have downloaded an updated driver. The 'general' tab states 'This device is working properly'. My operating system is Windows 10.  Thank you SEJoseph - I have checked in Lenovo Settings and the camera icon has a slash through it.  I assume that means it is disabled.  If so how can I enable it? Problem solved - in Lenovo Settings - camera - set privacy to 'off'.  Camera now works with Skype.

Has anyone had any luck solving this issue? When I skype the person on the other end can barely hear me when I speak at normal volume. It also does not work when I plug in my headset (with microphones attached) into the audio jack, I have tried three different headsets.I have spoken at/into the laptop microphone (without the headsets pluged in) and it made no difference in volume for the other side.I made sure that the mic is not muted or anything, its just not picking up on my voice very well, or at all.

Hey everybody, I am using a Lenovo Yoga and have fixed a fair amount of bugs that was on it, but this one evades me.  I just installed Windows 8.1 and it has been a nightmare thus far, I updated a lot of drivers and have fixed most of my issues, but my Dolby Digital V4 is not working.  I have managed to get it to open up again [originally it told me to update the driver].  But now that I have it open, the music is not processing through the program.  I am getting frustrated, please help! I have re-installed my RealTek audio driver which I think got my dolby to show back up on my task bar in the first place.

I bought my Yoga 510 14" about 2-3 months ago, and noticed that the graphics card in it doesn't seem to work. Specs: i5 6200U, AMD Radeon R5 M430 2GB DDR3, 8GB RAM I have the latest drivers installed, and in my device manager it says the card is detected. However, when I go to test it it doesn't seem to show up. For example, on skyrim, before you start the game you can select your graphics device in a drop down menu, but the menu only says "Intel HD 520" for me. I also searched for AMD Catalyst on my laptop and couldn't find a trace of it. It is still under warranty and I was wondering if I should send it back or if the problem can be solved. Thanks!

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 2 screen not working

Hi Rosiemorgan

Can you also post the full machine model number of you laptop?

So, you don't any image on the screen at all? not the Lenovo logo when you turn it on, not the Windows logo loading, nothing at all ? Maybe if you connect an external monitor you can also try out and confirm that your computer is working and all your files are there.

Anyways, it will look like you have a hardware damage to your monitor. I think that you should contact your local Lenovo Repair Center if you do not see any kind of image on your laptop monitor.

Hello - We have owned this Lenovo Yoga (product specs below) for about 3 years with no issues. suddenly, a handful of keys stopped working from the keyboard.  I can type just fine using an external keyboard, or by using the screen keyboard. The letters that don't work: g, i, o and p.   I updated the bios and all other drivers from the Lenovo site, hoping it was just a driver issue, but it seems pretty obvious that it's a hardware issue.  I deleted the kayboard from device manager and re-installed, as well.  I have swapped out Lenovo keyboards before, but this one looks different.  Using an external keyboard is not a long term possibility for this user.   Any thoughts?  Thank you all!Device:Yoga Laptop (ThinkPad)Machine Type: 20CD00BYUSOS: Windows 10 (64bit)Processor: 1x Intel Core i7-4600U Processor(i7-4600U): Memory: 1x 8GB PC3-12800

Hi.  Since yesterday, my Fn key has stopped working.  I have tried plugging in an external keyboard and it stil does not work.  I tried switchng the Ctrl key and the Fn key in the Bios utility and this allows me to use the Fn features with the Ctrl key, but then I lose the Ctrl key function. So the key itself is not working, but the fact that the Fn key does not work on an external keyboard leads me to believe it's not a hardware issue. Any ideas?

Hi, after using Google and searching through forums I'm still stuck with the following problem. For a installation at the Deutsches Museum in Munich I need the Yoga to boot itself at a defined date/time. Shutting down is not the problem, but automatic boot is. Normally there are two ways how to do this- Wake on LAN- Wake on RTC- Wake on Power (if a PC gets connected to a power source it will start automatically) I'm missing those options in the BIOS settings. But maybe I've overread something. Maybe I have to look somewhere else. The only source I found (not yet tested) was https://tinkertry.com/wol-over-usb3 where I have to built my own solution. Anyway, is there any chance to boot the the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro or Yoga 3 Pro at a specific date/time? Best wishes

Answer:Yoga 2 Pro/Yoga 3 Pro - Missing BIOS function to automatically boot the Yoga at specific time

I have been spending hours to find a way to apply WOL to a yoga 3 pro. I could not believe that it is simply not there. Is that to protect the user or a mistake? Is there an update I missed somewhere, or is a correction  being prepared? Thanks

I have a Date/Time field that I need converted to just a Time field.

It comes back with 2/11/12 0:00:00

I need just the 2/11/12

I thought about changing it to a text field but I think there will be an issue with the month because it does not bring back a 0 in from the months with only 1 digit.

This table that I am creating is being sent to a txt file and that is where I see the issue. It looks good in Access, but not the txt file.

Any suggestions?

Hi All,
I am using LUMIA 1320 that has Lumia Cyan.
Sometimes the time and date is getting reset to a specific date, i.e. 22nd May 2014
Due to this all reminder, alarms and new messages are not coming in sync.
Is this a virus? Does it have come from an app. If that is the case then it questions Microsoft App policies...
Anyone who has encountered this issue and has done something to eradicate it let me know.

Answer:Why is my phones time and date getting reset to a specific date?

First, windows phone can never get a virus. Its the safest platform after iOS . And no, a particular app can't affect the system's time and date. I think your should try to manually set the time and date in the settings. And see if it works.

Wait for the more knowledgeable to report but a new CMOS Battery would seem to be in order.
Easy to replace and only £1, or so, to buy, in almost any Supermarket.
About the size of a 10p piece on the motherboard, with a number like CM032. Don't take it out until you are ready to replace it.
Get the replacement > Take the old one out > Instal the new one and, with luck, that should be it.

when a2:a100 is populated with any thing then the corresponding C cell will be populated with the time.

AND

when e2:e1000 is populated wiith anything then the corresponding D Cell will be populated.

Currently I am using this macro.
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Cells.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("A6:A100")) Is Nothing Then
With Target(1, 4)
.Value = Time
.EntireColumn.AutoFit
End With
End If
End Sub

which works great for the A and C cells

but it does not work for the other one.. how do i add and modify this so all my needs are met.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 700 14ISK (ideapad) with Windows 10 64bit, whose keyboard and touchpad are refusing to work.Everything else seems to be running smoothly except for these. I initially was getting by via the on screen keyboard until I began borrowing an external wireless one. The following is what I knowReset to factory settings did not work.Optimizing OS in BIOS is enabled already (enabling this was suggested by Lenovo Support)THE ARROW KEYS WORK IN BIOS (??!???!?)An external keyboard works (I have used two different Logitech keyboards and both work)Before I sign in, FN+Space seems to work thus (re)activating my backlight. Once I sign in, it stops working. There's no updates for the keyboard driver.I have already tried to uninstall the driver, restart the laptop, and allow it to reinstall the driver.Disabling ymc did not help.F6 does not re-enable the touchpad.I tried a couple button combinations I've seen around for people disabling/enabling keyboards, but none worked. (Willing to try more though!!!) Any ideas? I thought it may be a hardware problem, but since the arrow keys work in BIOS; I'm not confident that this is the case.

So I was using my Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop for a study session. My keyboard was working fine the last time I used it, which was like ten minutes before it stopped working. Nothing on my keyboard is working, including the F controls/shortcuts. The ThinkPad is working normally and so is its corresponding right/left keys. The screen is also fine and the touch screen keyboard is working as well. My laptop isn't in tablet mode or any other mode other than laptop mode.  So basically, has anyone else had this problem and possibly share their wisdom. Also, if there are basic shortcuts that simply turn off your keyboard and can turnit back on, it'd be quite helpful, because there could be a simple fix but I wouldn't be aware since I am not very tech savvy.  Thank you so much!

There was an automatic update in the past few days, after that the sound is not working anymore.  I tried installing the drivers from the site but it still doesnt work. The troubleshooting doesn't seem to find any problem with it.  I also can't find the soundcard in device manager.  Thank you in advance.

So for a while the physical click on my mouse pad has been sticky, and wouldn't give the physical sensation that it clicked. Because the actual physical device didn't click that well, I started using the tap to click feature. Just today the mousepad, even just the tap to click, is much less responsive. I can no longer hold and drag items on the desktop, or highlight via the trackpad, whether I physically press down, or tap and hold. Another issue I'm having is that I cannot secondary/right click at ALL, physically, or even if I tap at the bottom right of the screen. I use the Yoga 900 for school work  and taking notes (I'm in grad school) and I would be very inconvenienced by having to send this out for repair. I take really good care of the laptop, though I have had some other hardware issues (ex. the headphone jack needs the 3.5mm plug in it a very particular angle, and also 3 out of 8 the little decorations on the hinges have come off also). When I plugged an external mouse in, I was able to right click without any difficulty. I won't be able to use an external mouse when using it regularly, however. Please help me guys! I can't deal with not having a secondary click on this.

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 1370 - Backlit not working

Since Fn+space is not working, there seems to be only one thing in my mind - the backlight is faulty.

FN keys are low level instructions and have nothing to do with OS drivers. You should contact the vendor from where you bought it.

I downloaded Ubuntu alongside Windows 10, but on Ubuntu the touchpad is not working.  My touchpad is not detected on my xinput list.(The Logitech devices are a USB mouse and keyboard) Does anyone know if there's any resolution to this or am I out of luck? If I'm out of luck, would this be resolved with future versions of Ubuntu? Thanks.

Hello,I have bought my notebook a week ago. And after using it for a really short time my tuochscreen stopped working? I did a reset for it but nothing changed, then i installed an update from windows and it began to work, but the same day it stopped working again. I can see that in device manager there is a driver "I2C HID DEVICE" that does not work and problem status says " POWER FAILURE". So should i send it to waranty service or is it only a program fail? LinK for print screen of driver fault code.http://postimg.org/image/lsxnuighz/

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 500 Keyboard lights not working

Hi Vlad261 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would you have the Machine Number from the sticker label , or try getting it from here .

Based on the ideapad 500S-14ISK Platform Specifications :
Keyboard : 6-row, multimedia Fn keys, optional backlight

Fn + Space (on select models): Adjusts the keyboard backlight (off ? dim ? bright ? off)

Update us with the Machine number to check further.

Regards

Sometimes, the brightness key will stop working. I can still go into settings and adjust the slider. After a system restart the problem resolves itself for a while but has re-occurred several times.

Answer:Lenovo Yoga Brightness key stops working

hi greengrounds,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

You can try these steps It may be the Power management that's causing this Issue

First I would suggest Do a power Drain
    - Unplug the computer from the AC charger and remove the battery
    - Hold down the power button for about 10 sec. then reconnect Everything

Go into BIOS utility by tapping Fn+F2 or F2 on the Lenovo Screen
    - inside BIOS press Fn+F9 then Enter to load defaults
    - then Press Fn+F10 the enter to Save and Exit

Then Last Re-install the Lenovo Energy Management
Uninstall it first under Control Panel Programs and features

Then try to Download and install this
Lenovo Energy Management for 64-bit Windows em8.08.0.2.4.exe45.4MB

Lenovo Energy management is an app that controls the hotkeys

Hope this helps,
Cheers!!
