Lenovo Flex 10 touchscreen stops working after 1 hour of use.

Question: Lenovo Flex 10 touchscreen stops working after 1 hour of use.

Just bought a new Lenovo Flex 10 from a retail and it works perfectly except that after an hour of use the touchscreen stops working, the computer still works ok, but only with the mousepad. The notebook came with Windows 8.1, and I haven't installed any program on it. I need an urgent response please, since i've been looking for days in the community and other support pages, and still can't get a satisfactory answer and the period to get the a refund are about to expire. Thanks in advance.

Preferred Solution: Lenovo Flex 10 touchscreen stops working after 1 hour of use.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Lenovo Flex 10 touchscreen stops working after 1 hour of use.

hi riglesias,

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

Once the Touchscreen stops responding, can you check the following:
1. Open System Properties and see if the Touch functionality is still there
- Link to picture (Touchscreen feature is not detected)
- Link to picture (Touchscreen feature is detected)

If the Touchscreen feature is detected, proceed to Step 2.

2. Press the Windows key? +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the Device Manager, navigate to the Human Interface Devices section and uninstall anything that says HID-compliant device (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen). When finished, reboot the system and observe.

3. If the Touchscreen is still not working, hold the Shift Key and hit the restart button inside Windows and you should be able to see the image below then try to tap on the screen to test and observe. I

If the touch capability is still not functioning, I recommend you contact lenovo for service.

I've had this computer for a couple months now and recently, my touchscreen has been on and off--sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't-- and I have no idea why. The touchscreen function just randomly stops working. I've tried searching for solutions, but to none avail. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

The touchscreen on my ideapad flex 14 laptop is not working. I've tried uninstalling the driver in device manager and then restarting my computer. I've also checked that all drivers are up to date. I'm on wondows 10 and I think it has worked since the upgrade (though I'm not 100% sure). Any ideas?

Press Windows+X.

Installed Windows 10 on it, and it didn't fix it, reset to Windows 8, no fix, upgraded to 8.1 and still no fix, all updates and drivers installed, tried the device manager thing, yet still no touchscreen response. It doesn't even show up in device manager. Also, now the display, doesn't cover the whole screen, there are black bars all around the edges.

Hi everyone, The touchscreen of my idepad flex 14 stopped to work suddenly. I have upgraded to Windows 10 recently and  didn't have any problem but now the defect came up. I have checked the device manager and the HID compliant touch screen driver is there (Version from 2006) and seems to be ok. I have tried to upgrade the driver but Windows says that is the latest version. Is there a driver from Lenovo for the touchscreen device? I really would appreciate any help. Thanks,Mike

I have a year old Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4-1470 laptop.  The computer works perfectly, however the touch screen does not work all the time.  Some of the keys on the keyboard won't work, some areas of the screen do not register my finger everytime, etc.  I took it to the place of purchase (Office Max) and they ran a diagnostic check that came up perfect... the computer is working like it should.  I have a warranty on the computer for 3 years trough SquareTrade.  I don't use the touch screen really at all (only use it because it's there), but I'm annoyed that it doesn't work correctly because it's only a year old.  Any suggestions on a fix?  I can't find a calibration reset for the touch screen or any kind of up system reboot.  Any help will be appreciated.

Nothing different happened between turning off the computer & turning it on to keep working & yet all of a sudden the touchscreen doesn't work?? It's almost as if it was turned off? Is that a setting that can be turned off or does this need to be fixed or something?  So annoying!!

Hi, since a few weeks i had an issue with my Flex 140D Notebook - the touchscreen doesn't work. What i've done was to uninstall the 3 USB-Devices below the HID-Section and the Touchscreen itself and rebooted the System. I did also an "Reset", see the link below, for the Mainboard but it doesn't fix the problem. Can someone give me a hint ? The touchscreen of my Flex 14 has suddenly stopped working from yesterday. Everything else is working fine. Can it be a hardware error?

Answer:Flex 14 Touchscreen not working

It sounds like it is a hardware issue. The touchscreen is not enabled through additional software, but rather by Windows itself. I would send it in for warranty.

Answer:Ideapad Flex 15 touchscreen isn't working

hi acmaria,

Welcome to the Forums

Can you open System Properties and check if the OS is not detecting the Touchscreen functionality:
  - Link to picture (Touchscreen not detected)
  - Link to picture (Touchscreen is detected)

If the Touchscreen is not detected, try the following:
1. Hold the Shift Key and restart the machine to boot into the System Recovery Options screen. Once there, try to select any of the options by touching the screen and observe.
2. Shutdown the machine, press the OneKey Recovery button and select System Recovery. On the recovery menu, try to select any of the options by touching the screen and observe..
   - Link to picture

3. If the Touchscreen still doesn't work on one of the options above then it's likely that the digitizer have gone faulty and you need to contact lenovo for service.

Support phone list

If the Touchscreen detected, try uninstalling the HID Compliant Touchscreen first under the Device Manager > Human Interface Devices then reboot. If same problem, you may need to consider doing a System Restore or System Recovery to isolate the issue on the OS level.

Let me know how it goes.

I  have an Ideapad Flex 15.

Since I upgraded yesterday to Windows 10, I have lost the touchscreen ability I had up to that point on Windows 8.1. On search for pen and touch, I was given this message on a system information page: "No pen or touch input is available for this display." I have looked in device manager under Human Interface Devices. Expanding the view to show hidden devices, I see "HID compliant touch screen." When I click to get device status, this is the message:

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

How do I do that? I note a similar problem in Windows 8.1 on this posting:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-hardware/touchscreen-not-working/c48cda2...

Does anyone have any idea how to reconnect the hardware device -- or at least to solve this problem? Thanks!

Press F10 to save and exit. Press the NOVO button (Small button near the power button), then select BIOS Setup. 2. Re-initiate touch outside OS.? While computer is rebooting or after turning on the unit, keep on pressing the F2 button. ? Once you're there, on the lower right hand corner of the menu, using your fingers, touch EXIT.? If that works, then touch REBOOT 3. Test the touch if it is now working, if everything is working then you MUST do this.  Hope this helps.

I don't have the touchscreen drivers anywhere in my device manager and wacom drivers has a code 10 of being unable to start. Windows 10 is up to date and the Wacom drivers is the latest one. Already tried uninstall the wacom drivers and restarting, tried reinstalling the drivers from the website after uninstall it, and looked everywhere for a solution.

Answer:Lenovo Flex 5 - Wacom Device code 10 and missing touchscreen drivers

Found out that in order for the Windows 10 installation to detect the PCIe SSD, you have to go into the BIOS and change the SATA Controller Mode to AHCI.  Now that only leaves the Wacom drivers having a code 10 and the missing touch screen drivers.

Hi there!  I've had my Lenovo Yoga ThinkPad 14 for less than two weeks, and I'm having some issues. For some reason, when I use the pen, I sometimes can not use the touchscreen with my fingers or another non-active stylus afterwards. Both the pen and the touchpad still work, but not the actual screen itself. It doesn't last forever, but I haven't found anything that fixes the problem immediately - even putting it to sleep doesn't work sometimes. I've tried taking the computer in and out of tablet mode, replacing the pen in the charging port, etc. I have also run the latest updates on my computer, and have had the issue both before and after. It just decides to stop working and then I have to wait until it decides to start working again. Frustrating when you're trying to take notes during a big phone call for work! I only have two or three days left to return the computer if this is a major issue, so I have two questions, really. 1) Does it seem like a software problem or a hardware problem? I.E. Is there a driver or something I can download to update a fix or something? Or do I need to get the laptop itself looked at? And 2) Is this a common problem? I've seen other posts about similar issues, but they seem to be a constant issue, not an intermittent one like mine.  Any help or advice would be appreciated! I don't want to get stuck with a half-functioning laptop because I didn't return it in time, but I also still like the computer itself.  ... Read more

I have a D Link model Dl-524. Every time I plug it in, it stops working after an hour and all the lights go from blinking to all turning on and no longer blinking. I think it might be a problem with overheating so I stuck a fan (I modded an external fan coming out of my computer and opened up the D link case and stuck the fan on the board inside so its supported and cools the d link board off.) on it and it seemed to last about 20 to 30 minutes longer than normal. I thought another issue might be that it runs on 2.4 Ghz and all the phones in our house ran on 2.4Ghz as well, so I replaced all our phones with a higher frequency thats no longer 2.4 Ghz. However the problem still persists. Does anyone know what the problem with this may be and if there's a simple way to fix it? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So the past couple of days I have noticed that the touch screen on my laptop hasn't been working like it use to. I'll be writing notes or homework in tablet mode or I'll be swiping in normal mode and about half of my writing, taps or swipes won't be recognized. It's really frustrating especially since it causes me to miss some notes in class. I have tried restarting it and that hasn't helped. I did factory reset it a few weeks ago, but I made sure to fix all my settings and calibrate everything after I did that. The touch screen was also working perfectly fine just last week. It just started happening after booting up one day. Does anyone know what I could do to fix this? I would send it in, but my warranty expired a few months ago.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and a NetGear WG311v3 wireless card installed into a PCI slot.

Whenever I start up Windows and browse the Internet, the connection seems just fine. However, after an undetermined amount of time (or perhaps triggered by a certain amount of data I've downloaded), the connection cuts off. I then look in Device Manager and see the yellow warning symbol next to my wireless driver. When I look further, it says "This device cannot start (code 10)". Nothing I do seems to work, except restarting my computer. ANd when I do, I have to manually connect to the wireless network again.

There is no password on the router, and all the other desktops and laptops in the house connect to the router just fine without any connection problems after any amount of time or data.

I have tried re-installing the drivers (even by uninstalling, shutting down, removing hardware, booting up, installing drivers, shutting down, re-inserting hardware, booting up) but it still does the same thing.

There may be a conflict somewhere with other hardware, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what it may be. I have even tried installing the Marvell chipset driver instead of the NetGear driver, but it still does the same time-out problem.

I can stay connected for hours if I don't do any heavy downloading (just surfing and reading), but once I start downloading large files, the connection drops and I have to reboot again, which is a huge pain because the fi... Read more

Hey all, Periodically, the touchscreen on my Yoga 2 11 up and stops working.  There are various levels of "not working"... first it might lose some sensitivity, then it will only complete certain actions (like, I will be able to scroll a bit on a page but not click something on the touchscreen), and finally it might just stop working all together.  I have a hunch that this may be related to a touchpad issue... occasionally when using the touchpad, the cursor will get "stuck" somewhere on the screen as though the screen is being touched at the same time, and it won't "release" until I do touch the touchscreen and jiggle the cursor around a little.  (BIZARRE.)  It does sometimes feel as though the touchpad and touchscreen are fighting with each other. I've seen some other threads, but I have not noticed this issue being tied to restarting, or to using USB devices, or to a system update (it came with Win 8.1) or to installing new software.  Quite frankly, I've been having this issue almost since I got the machine, but it was barely noticeable/rare at first and I didn't think much of it.  However, it has gotten progressively worse.  I am at my wits' end, especially because I can't see a pattern or predict when I will start having trouble.  The day before yesterday I was having trouble, then with no changes on my part, the touchscreen began working perfectly last night, and is fine this morning as well. Any input would be... Hello, I received a brand new HP Spectrex360 and it worked completely fine but one day the touchscreen stopped working. I found that the touchscreen function works completely fine every time I turn on/restart the laptop, but only for the first couple minutes, then strangely the screen stops receiving or detecting any touch.I thought it could possibly just be a setting that makes the touchscreen function turn off after a short amount of time of not being used. I've searched the settings but nothing seems to be off. Thank you for your time!

This is about a laptop running Windows 10 that my wife uses only on trips. So this morning, I turned it on and Windows installed the 1703 update. Then I got some weird message about Norton firewall "expired" and so Windows Defender firewall was turned on.

I updated Norton Internet Security (from Comcast) and verified that Norton is controlling the firewall, not Windows Defender.
However .... my wife is now saying that browsing doesn't work, not on Firefox, not on Edge. Everything else works, pings, email, etc. If the system is rebooted, then browsing works fine, until it doesn't. Email test messages go through just fine.

I've gone over the Norton Firewall settings, looking at all the traffic rules, and it all looks fine. I haven't changed/deleted/added any rules. So at this point, I don't know what to do next. Makes me look bad in front of my wife.

Does the keyboard and touchpad stop working at the same time?Does there seem to be anything that happens before it stops working?Maybe try running a bootable Linux live environment for a while to rule out a hardware issue?

Every once in a while, the adapter just stops seeing all the networks near my computer.  A reboot fixes this. Going in the Device Manager and disabling and and then enabling the network adapter seems to work also. I have already updated the driver and the problem persists.  Is there a permenant solution to this? If this is a cheap network adapter, can I replace it with a high end one? What is a good one?

First year, my Yoga's touchscreen was always working correctly, regardless of connected USB devices. Since some time, if I connect a device into USB 2.0 port, touchscreen gets immediately disabled, no more responding to any touch. In Device Manager, it is not showing any errors. I found a workaround that in Device Manager (HID Devices branch), touchscreen must be set Disabled, then Enabled and then it comes back online. But I know this action was never needed before. Do you have any solution for this? I think it began happening around the time when I started to use Yoga with barcode scanner Heron D-130. But the problem is now happening regadless of USB device, even with devices which were not impacting the touchscreen before. Perhaps not barcode scanner, but some Windows update caused this. Do you have any solution for this so touchscreen will keep working after another USB 2.0 device is connected?

Answer:Touchscreen stops working if USB device is connected [Yoga 13]

At the moment it looks like disabling power saving feature at touchscreen HID device (in Device Manager) solves the issue. Touchscreen is kept enabled even if I connect other USB devices.

My dell touchscreen laptop will stop working when the battery gets low and does not come back on unless you restart the computer. This is very annoying and i am asking how to turn this feature off so that my touchscreen will not turn off and i don't have to keep restarting my computer every time this happens. I have already gone to the human interface devices and turned the power management devices off that have something to do with it but it keeps happening. Thanks for your help.

I recently purchased the Flex 5, and thought it would be fun to get an active pen to go with it, so I picked up a Bamboo Ink pen. All was well for the first evening with the pen, I was able to control things with it, draw with it, everything you would expect from a pen. The next morning started fine, but after about an hour then pen stopped working. Nothing changed on the laptop, the pen simply went from working to not working. Thinking it might be something with the pen, I went ahead and purchased a Lenovo Active Pen. When it arrived and I installed the battery... nothing. No response from the computer at all to the pen. At this point I was worried that there might be some incompatability with some installed software, so I restored Windows, wiping out everything I had setup over the week that I had the computer. During the Windows setup process the pen started working. Hurray! All seemed well, until the next morning, when the pen stopped responding again. I now had two pens that had previously worked, but now were not responding. Exasperated, I restored Windows again, but this time, nothing. That brings us to this morning. I ran a complete re-install of Windows. Once again, nothing. I then found an update BIOS for the computer and installed it. This time on rebooting, both pens began working. For the rest of the day everything seemed fine.  Though you should have realized, I wouldn't be writing this if everything were still fine. Yes, this evening, the la... Read more

HiHave been loving my Yoga 900 but the touchscreen has started acting up.  While it seems there are lots of issues with Yoga touchscreens I didn't find one quite like myne.I realised it works okay in laptop mode but as soon as the screen gets to about 100 to 120 degrees rotation - so before reaching the switch point to tablet mode - the touchscreen becomes unresponsive.  If rotate it back so it's 90 degrees or so then it starts working again.  If I boot with screen rotated then device manager has an exclamation mark for an I2C HID device, status says "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed."  If boot with screen around 90 degrees then I see the touchscreen device running normally.Any ideas?I'm thinking maybe the ribbon cable could be the problem? How doable is opening up the display panel? Thanks for any thoughts!

Originally I posted in a different forum, just trying to reach out to those in need as I once was.....:

Attention Everyone
This is the problem with most Tech Support teams.....they look too deeply into the problem and not at its face value. The Touchscreen driver is a HID USB Input device. Meaning the computer does not know if a device is being used until it actually is. I went round and round with Dell Tech Support and all they managed to do was update drivers that didn't need it and one young lady actually downloaded the wrong device thinking the touch screen is a part of Dell Touchpad, aka MOUSE!!! REALLY!!!
Think about it, if you are not using the touchscreen and keeping it active, in this energy efficient world and age, a system would turn off unnecessary devices!!
THE SOLUTION: Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus Controllers - Generic USB Hub Properties -( Under POWER tab: the one that  has "HID-compliant Device 100mA" attached) Power Management - UNCHECK-"Allow computer to turn off this device to save power"
If you have problems or not sure if it the correct HID-compliant Device, just look under the Driver Details and hit the drop down box to scroll through all those different labels until it clearly says "Touchscreen" under "Bus Reported Device Description"
Fixed my problem pretty easily.
As the sounding of my post can be taken as a bit on the rude/sarcastic/completely irritated side, it is intended to hopefully save... Read more

Title says it all: The touchscreen stops working when the pen is docked after installing new wintab drivers. This is easily my 4th major issue related to pen and touch with the Helix. I've had a Lenovo repair agent in to replace the screeen. I've depot'd the machine.   I can honestly say that for the 6 months or so that I've owned this machine I haven't had pen and touch working contiguously for a week without issues.   Add to this the awful IPS image persistence (that we DON'T see with plenty of other much cheaper pen and touch devices such as Samsung's note 2 and note tablets) and I can't see the value here at all. When family and peers asked me what brand of laptop to purchase, my defacto answer was always Lenovo.  Not anymore.

I'd add that perhaps no a single pen/touch tablet product in the market has done it right so far. Before buying Helix, I found Samsung's flagship Note 10.1 2014 cannot be used as a productive tool. The software support of palm rejection and editing large image/pdf files isn't there yet. MS Surface Pro 1 or 2 isn't there either. They have more issues than Helix if you check their forums. Sigh.

Hi all,
I received my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series 7559 a few days ago, and noticed that sometimes my touchscreen would stop working. I would shut down the laptop (and usually close the lid), then later turn it back on and the touchscreen would be working again.
When the touchscreen was not working, it would show up as an error under the Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers -> "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)".
What I noticed was that I could always fix the problem by 1) Moving my screen to 90 degrees open or less, and then 2) Restarting the laptop OR from Device Manager disable then re-enable the unknown USB device.
It is a consistent issue, I can use the touchscreen for a day or longer without rebooting as long as the screen stays no more than 90 degrees open, but as soon as I open the screen just a bit wider (to the max open width, I'd say about 105 degrees where the hinges no longer allow it to open), the touchscreen stops working within a couple seconds and then the USB error starts showing up under the Device Manager.
It's unfortunate because when it's sitting on my lap and I want to use the touchscreen, opening the lid all the way is the most comfortable viewing angle so I'd really prefer to be able to do it. I'm also thinking about opening up the case and looking for a loose connection, but with a brand new laptop I'd really rather not.
Anyway I wonder if anyone else has seen this i... Read more

If by refresh you mean re-install windows, then yes you will have to reinstall the drivers for the tough screen. If you click on Support Drivers & Downloads from up top there then desktops and all in ones and select your model it should lead you to drivers for the screen -cheers

Hello. I've had my Lenovo Ideapad S415 Touch since March 2014. One week ago, my touch screen stopped working. When I turned it on, the touch screen was working. I put the cover of the laptop down and left it for a few hours. When I came back the touch screen was not working. I have only tried a system restore and that didn't help. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks

Answer:Lenovo Ideapad S415 Touchscreen not working

Hi kawthar,

Welcome to Lenovo forums

As I understand that you are facing issue with touch screen of your Lenovo S415 laptop.

As you have also tried to perform system restore but unfortunately it did not work. I would suggest you to perform few software updates on your laptop.

Try to update the chipset driver. Once the new chipset drivers are installed restart you laptop and check if the touch works, if not.
Try to update the graphic driver and restart the system and check if the issue still persist then.
Update the power management driver and check.

After the above drivers updates if still the issue still persist the do a  BIOS update and check.

Hope this helps! Please do post back if the issue persist.

Best regards,

Recently the touchscreen on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro stopped working. It is running Windows 10 and the most recent update it received was KB890830. I am getting an error code 10 for the I2C HID device ("A request for the HID descriptor failed"), but when I try to update it, I get a message saying it is already up to date. Disabling and re-enabling hasn't worked and I cannot find the driver on the lenovo website to do a fresh install. Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hi simon_a6,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

The Touchscreen device should be located under Device Manager / Human interface Devices.
try Uninstalling all that starts with HID- and restart your computer.

Try checking this Youtube video on how to make your own equalized Settings

Hi all. So 2 days ago I was using the laptop for some course work, I then went asleep for maybe 2 hours and when I woke up I was unable to use the touchpad or kyboard. Now I had this issue before but it seemed to fix itself after a day or two. So far I have reset the computer while keeping all my own files, updated, deleted, reinstalled the drivers multiple times, removed the keypad to ensure the ribbon wasn't loose etc etc. I have since been able to get the touchpad to work by messing with the drivers but the keyboard remains the same. I oticed I am able to use it when either the laptop is held at an angle or if the screen if opened up almost flat. I'm guessing this is a driver issue but I can't for the life of me figure out how to resolve this. The laptop is a few years old so no warranty. I've done a lot of reading online about this issue and it seems many people have had the same problem but no posts gave me any real solution. Any help is very much appreciated. I relly don't know what to do now.

Hello, I have had the laptop for nearly a year, still under warranty and, today, some keys stopped working on the keyboard, more concretly: 5 6 F1 F2 ? '  and CTRL (LEFT) keys (written with the touchscreen). The last time it worked I was using it in class taking some notes and those aforementioned keys were working. Once I finished, packed the laptop into the cover, and into the bag. ten minutes later I took it out in the library and they did not work.No water spilling had occurred (it was dry and the bag was dry too). And also there were no hits to the terminal. They just seemed to stop working, the pressure input feels pretty the same, so they are not stuck by any material underneath. I tried reinstalling the drives (through the hardware management), checked all options in keyboard assesment....tried with safe mode, still do not work.  Could it be some defect and should call for a replacement? Thanks beforehand.

I spilled water on my laptop a few days ago. My screen was fine at first, but then (I assume) water got into some part of the hardware. Now the display is barely visible. I think it could be the inverter board that was affected, but I want to know how to fix it/what part(s) I need.In addition, my keyboard doesn't work. The touchscreen keyboard doesn't work either. I can tap on the keys, but nothing shows up. What is affected so that I can't even use the touchscreen keyboard? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

Water spilled into a laptop can cause a variety of problems as well as short  circuits.  It would be difficult to pin point exactly where your problems lie.  I suspect though that laptop isn't thoroughly dried out yet which maybe part of the problem.  I would suggest you open it up and let it continue to dry out, before proceeding further.  For your reference here is a link to your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual.......

So, I've tried EVERYTHING but I can't get it to work.

I have used my internal microphone to Skype call and Teamspeak, but it randomly shuts off. I have done the Microsoft troubleshooter and it actually said that there's no microphone to check on.

Right now I'm still working with Windows 8, because I don't want to change to Windows 10 untill this is fixed. It should work in Windows 8, so changing to Windows 10 shouldn't make a diffrence in the first place.

My microphone has worked, the problem is that it shuts off randomly. I don't know what I can do?

With kind regards,

Anne-Louise

Edit: I remember this happening after setting up speech recognition. I just opened it and my microphone works with speech recognition, but when I want to 'train' my computer to recognize my voice better the microphone stops working.

Could speech recognition close down my internal microphone fully, and how do I change speech recognition so it doesn't work (I never use it, was for funzies).

Answer:Lenovo Flex 2 15 Internal microphone not working

I rarely use voice skype, but I needed to set it up for a class (I'm a teacher) and the microphone didn't work. I get the message that there is NO microphone, yet my Flex 2-15D has 2 built-in ones. I have spent a long time looking for drivers or even any information, but there don't seem to be any, or else I'm looking in the wrong place. Also there is no microphone jack so I cannot use my regular headphones with their microphone. Please help.

Recently I have recived my new laptop, the Lenovo Ideapad flex 10 and I have a few issues with it - and I am considering returning it. 1) Every now and then, my touchscreen freezes and I have to restart my laptop with the mouse to solve the problem. 2) When I go onto a specfic app (such as the camera man or a certain game) my screen flickers black so I have to turn it off with the power button to fix it. It is very aggravating. I appreciate any thoughts on this topic, thanks.

Answer:lenovo flex 14 keyboard not working properly

I think you need a new keyboard maybe. You can test your keys with this software: http://www.passmark.com/products/keytest.htmIf any of the keys do not work, you need to send it in to repair.

I recently updated to the Windwos 10 Fall Creators update (Build 1709, 16299.125), and as soon as I updated, the graphics driver failed and switched to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. I tried updating and rolling back the driver without success. My driver right now is at the latest version (10.18.10.4358). I already tried fixing this issue with Microsoft support but they couldn't find any solutions. Microsoft Support Link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/intel-hd-graphics-not-working-...

HELP. My keyboard and touchpad stopped working. Laptop is brand new. I checked Control Panel > Device Manager and system says both of them are working fine. Drivers are also updated.I`m typing with an external keyboard and mouse. Touchscreen and touch-keyboard work both fine. Is there anything I can check in the OS to verify what is going on? Maybe I turned off something. It's a mistery, laptop is brand new. Thanks in advance!!

In the synaptics software the feature is activated but i doesent work. I have read some of the other threads about fixing the problem in win 8.1 but the registry files doesent have the same structure/names on my win 10. What to do?
