HiI have bought Lenovo G50-70 59422406 15.6-inch Laptop (Core i3 4030U/4GB/500GB/Windows 8.1/ATI JET LE R5 M230 DDR3L 2GB DDR3 Graphics card).I am trying to run a virtual machine having OS Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition of RAM 3 GB on VMware version WorkStation 6.5-7.x virtual machine.However as soon as i start the virtual machine following error is displayed " At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event log for details"I also downloaded the latest version of VMware, however getting the same error and resulting in which unable to exceute the virtual machine properly.Can you please help me in solving the above error.

I was trying to do a fresh install for this X61 notebook computer (7675-CTO, 4GB memory).  I encountered this weird problem and need some help.  Thanks in advnace. I first did a clean installation of Windows Vista XP2, Ultimate x64 retail edition.  It went through smoothly.  Then I started to install Lenovo Drivers and Applications.  I first installed Intel Chipset Support.  Then I tried to install the "Lenovo System Interface Driver", however, the installation failed.  The installer told me that "Lenovo System interface Driver is required to install this driver or application."  I thought this is almost a cool joke. Screen copies are available at this website: http://sites.google.com/site/lenovoproblem Thanks much.

I recently had to install a new battery for my computer. After doing so I started having this problem and receiving the following Error from the "Service Control Manager" Event ID:7026   The following Boot-Start or System-Start driver(s)
failed to load: ppfd_vt_1_10_0_24    Param 1. The issues I am having are; Unable to completely "SHUT DOWN" unless I press the power button, this is after I have already selected the "shut down" option in the Start menu. Never
had to press the power button to power off my computer. Also, at "START-UP", I get as far as a black screen with a white flashing cursor in upper left-hand corner. At this point I am stuck, nothing takes me out of this state unless I press the "POWER"
button to shut-down. In order to start-up & Boot, I disconnect AC Adapter, remove battery, wait about 20 seconds, re-install battery, power adapter, and push power button. Now my computer is all good. Can anyone help me with this, I've researched for 2
weeks and am no where. Thanks for any help. My computer is quite old, 2010 Sept., but I'm hoping that I don't have to purchase a new one...(I'm a lil cheap) lol

I have been getting the following errors when I try to log into my account.

The system event notification service service failed the logon an attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist

I created a built-in-administrator and I am able to get into safe mode though not able to run many programs on it such as control panel and start up repair. I looked at my registry and both of my accounts look fine neither of them had a .bak on the end and so I'm not sure how to fix this if my only option is to delete my user account. I've already done a system restore to a couple days before this happened but, I'm still locked out of everything.

Is there anything else I can do that might help?

Google led me to this post as I was researching the problem myself. I encountered the same issue. In this case on a vista32 ultimate box (although I do own an x64 box in case somebody thinks I'm blasphemous posting here ).

I haven't completely fixed the issue yet but I've gotten a bit further so in hopes of helping the next person here are the steps I've taken.

I was able to log in successfully in safe mode (hit F8 while starting up, select safe mode). Once there I went to command prompt (click the start button, type "cmd" [without the quotes] in the search bar and hit enter. From command prompt type services.msc to launch the services control panel. Find the System Event Notification Service, right click, select properties, change it from automatic startup to disabled, apply the change and "OK" out of the dialog box. You can now restart the computer and log in normally.

This isn't really a fix, it's a temporary work-around. SENS is needed for COM+ to respond to things like login and startup events. I've also noticed that my system is very slow right now. My next step is to find a way to generate a new token for SENS and then hopefully I'll be back at 100%. I currently have Dell researching that for me (this happens to be a Dell laptop). If I get a solution short of a reinstall to that one I'll post it too.

I have clean installed the Windows XP Home OEM on a Athlon 64 3500+, SATA, Asus A8V-E Deluxe based system.This AninsHelp error shows up about 8 times in the Event log.Also noticed that when windows is into the desktop about a minute from being into windows the Floppy Disk drive tries to read for a disk but there isn't one in the drive.

Hi, everyone. I received a warning or error message when I started up my Dell Inspiron Windows Vista. It popped up on the bottom right on the task bar. Not only did this warning came up but now my taskbar looks like it's in 'Classic View'.

Hi, I am running NT Server4 with service pack 6a. Upon booting, I receive the message 'At least one service or driver failed during startup'. According to the Event Viewer it is the 3COM 3C90x Adapter Driver failed to start due to the folowing error: A device attched to this system is not functioning.

There have been no hardware or software changes made to the computer recently. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this message? Thanks

I have a message coming up titled "Failed to connect to a windows service"
and it reads -

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? We have already reset the NIC on the laptop to force all settings to DHCP to ensure DNS is being set correctly. Updated DHCP settings
to disable NetBIOS as it is deprecated and should not be used over DNS for resolution. And we have run the <g class="gr_ gr_45 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="45"
id="45">winsock</g> reset.

That's listed as the Conexant Pebble High Definition Smart Audio.
Seeing as how it's HD sound, I think you'll need to load the Microsoft UAA driver first to get it running under XP.

I am hoping someone can help me with this because I have looked almost everywhere to find a solution to fix this. I am getting this on my machine when I start it up:

SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER
At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event logs for details.

Looked into the events log and this is what I found:
Service Control Manager
EventID: 7024
The Routing and Remote Access service terminated with service-specific error 16389.

Service Control Manager
EventID: 7023
The Internet Authentication Service service terminated with the following error:
The data is invalid.

I hope there is someone who can help me find the solution to my problem. Help me if you can.

Gateway DX4720-03, Windows 7 HP 64-bit.

Living is south FL can be a bitch when the rains come as there often is a ton of accompanying lightening that plays havoc with the electrical system, even though I have surge protectors inside and outside the house. We just had some very heavy rains with lightening and my computer shut down several times, but I could restart it each time...except for the last time when Windows wouldn't startup. At that point, Start Up Repair came into play. Although I routinely backup on an external drive, of course I never did it this month-DUH!

Results from SUR were error free (error code=0x0) on all the parameters tested, however there were the following error codes reported:

"Unspecified change to the system configuration might have caused the problem."

Repair Action: System Restore
Failed: 0x1f

Repair Action: System Files
Failed: x490

There were more options to select for a recovery task, but I didn't try them as they didn't seem to be as salient as the two above..

As System Repair and System Restore failed, please advise what i should next do.

I have a problem with my ThinkCentre E72 (Windows 8). Suddenly, it shuts down with "shut-down" screen. Later, in my Event Viewer, I found the following System Warning:"The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\SYSTEM\0001" where the source of problem is Kernel-PnP. Only thing that is plugged in my computer is mouse, keyboard and monitor. Many thanks,Matija

I know there was a thread earlier about the same issue but the solution doesn't seem to work for me.

This is the message i am getting on startup:

"Failed to connect to a windows service.
Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service. This problem prevents limited users from logging on to the system. As an administrative user, you can review the System Event Log for details about why the service didn't respond."

The message comes with a very slow start up.

The computer doesn't seem to recognize any of the wireless networks either, so i currently can't connect to the internet either. So i am using a different computer right now.

I am using a Gateway T-1620 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32. Microsoft Security essentials is running and the firewall is down.

I am currently using Windows 8.1
2 days before I updated my PC to 8.1 from 8
Then last night I kept Asphalt 8 for downloading from the store
And in the morning I shut down the PC and after several minutes
when I turn on my PC it shows somewhat like this :

"The System Event Notification Service service failed the sign-in.
Function could not be executed"

And the PC also doesn't shut down I have to force shut down it.
So please help, it's not starting at all. I even tried in Safe Mode
but it shows somewhat like this when I open MSCONFIG
and disable startup items

Windows 7 64-bit SP15

My Dell Latitude e6420 is having problems as of the past week. An error comes up on every reboot or startup of my machine. The "Failed to Start System Event Notification Service" error would come up on my screen down in the taskbar. Details below of startup:Laptop comes up slow.
Login and once desktop shows that error appears on my screen and sometimes my audio service isn't working (but it can't be the the driver for my video/audio card because sometimes it works and other things will crash meaning a corruption of some system driver.)
Takes 5-10 minutes for machine to fully boot.
Look at event log and shows Event ID Error 7026 every reboot.
I cannot find a fix for this error and nothing seems to be working. Please help with any information. Thanks.

Windows Server 2008: Event ID 7026 this article just says what you are thinking seems to be correct. have you looked in device manager to see if there are any warning signs in there?
when your in event viewer, isn't there a link with the error that gives some help?

I've gotten this error every time my computer freezes and makes a horrible noise in my headset, the only way to fix that is to turn the computer off. I am pretty sure this is from a virus called "Free Ride Games" that I somehow got on my computer while cleaning it up. The error is  the X5XSEx_Pr143 service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified. I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this problem/ Virus.

This Error popped up on my Screen today

My Nvidia control panel, among other programs do not seem to start with windows any more ( i noticed this right away because my screen configuration had changed)
I have checked the service and all of its dependencies and all of them are working fine. a quick Google search yielded no fixes that worked for me and I'm stumped as how to solve this

Hi The message very clearly says that the Fan is failing you need to replace the Fan so that the unit works fine. If you have already updated the Bios on the unit. When I start up I get a window open up saying: Lenovo service trigger v0.1. Event registered successfullyStart event successfully raisedUnregister rrservice provider successfully! I'm using Windows 7 Professional. Can anyone help me get rid of it? After Windows (7, 32) desktop displays, a DOS window displays for a few seconds.  It contains the following; Lenovo Service Trigger v0.1  Event registered successfully.Start Event successfully raised.Unregister rrservice provider successfully! It always goes away and does not seem to affect anything, but...it makes me nervous to see something like this when there is no obvious explanation (can't see it in Event Viewer).  Anyone know what it is?

​This message comes with slow start up and shut downs that occasionally freeze. Another strange symptom is that sometimes (about every other time I boot up the computer) it loses the shiny-black Vista theme. Not so much a concern of aesthetic and more a note of wonkiness.

The laptop was sluggish recently and I was doing some cleaning: defrags, registry cleaning, virus/spyware scans, etc. I... have a theory my sweep with CCleaner may have done something it really shouldn't have. I'm unsure what to do about this if it is true though, because although I didn't delete them, all my restore points are gone. I also recently changed the virtual memory size, if that is relevant.

Also uncertain of relevancy, but the worst of it (Service message) began while I was toying around between Pidgin and Trillian. Trillian crashed... something. There are so many event logs now that I'm not able to figure out what it was

Hi All,


My windows 7 showed this message "The User Profile Service failed the logon". I've followed the tutorials related to this matter, but I found some problems.

- I've logged in with "safe mode with networking", and chose system restore

- Appearantly system restore was turned off, so I checked on tutorial how to turn it on, but I failed since all posts said that I needed to click "system protection" tab on the left pane and that Tab did not appear on the screen.

- I've googled about the system protection, but still did not find the solutions


I've read some posts said to create new user profile, but since I'm afraid of data loss, especially from the partition disk (D) and my browser bookmarks & history

Kindly need your help about how to fix this problem.

Answer:The User Profile Service failed the logon, No System Protection tab

You need to have a System Restore point created prior to the issue, it is a pro-active solution.

You can try a new user, your worry is unnecessary. The new account will have it's own user folder under C:\Users and if it works, you can get your files from your original user folders.

The computer shuts down of its own accord and reverts to login screen with "The user profile service failed the login" and I am effectively locked out from this point on. It is difficult to pinpoint when this happens - could be after windows update,I set up a password on my default "Home" account with administrator rights and "User" account without admin rights.or a combination of both. It happens in both Win 7 and Win 8 (I have purchased the upgrade), when the system is installed with Lenovo's applications and drivers recovery discs.  Win 8 installed with applications and setting in tact (considering installing Win 8 as a fresh install to see if that makes a difference). I have tried the fix of booting into safe mode (MS Article 947215), but I am locked out because the error message is on the admin account. I have successfully cloned the Intel SSD 180GB drive onto a Samsung 840 Pro SSD immediately after a reinstall, as I read a post suggesting this fixed issues with the Intel 180GB drive, but the same thing has happened. I am considering using the "no applications or settings" option when I install Win8 next time, and switching off Windows update ...... is this a good idea? Thanks in advance for your help. UPDATE 12/02: Technical support  has started a case:Ran diagnostics (SSD / Memory / PCI Express / Wireless) and all passed OK. Asked to run BIOS bootable update.  Knew had done this but ran bootable CD again just ... That sounds like a pretty good idea to me. This would allow you to keep your files that you already have, but it would not try to migrate your settings or profile which is currently the issue. If this does work, however, I would enable Windows Update shortly thereafter. Other than that, it sounds like a sound plan to me.

Hello all,

I have been having a problem with my PC for the last ...uhh... couple of years where it will randomly, without warning, reboot itself. I cannot correlate any rhyme or reason for when it occurs, and sometimes it happens several times per day, and sometimes just once. The message in the event viewer that occurs just as the system reboots itself is "The MCSTRM service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified." - I googled this and found that it was connected to Rhapsody, which I promptly uninstalled. This alleviated the problem COMPLETELY for about a week and a half, until two days ago when it began all over again. I had not installed or uninstalled anything when the change occurred. Here is my HijackThis log (I'm not sure if you need this but I saw other topics include this).

I cannot logon to my laptop for the 1st time

If you have a Toshiba SSD drive in your laptop there is a problem in windows 7 that makes impossible to logon to the system when the TOSHIBA Storage Utilities are installed. In that case you have to figure out how to get to the system and uninstall it.

restarted laptop

i see there is a suggestion to delete the winsock services hivekey in registry is this safe to do. i dont want to make it even worse,. but at moment nothing is working whatever i try.

Hi all having another head scratcher, I recently built a new computer a few weeks ago and everything has been running smooth up an till a few days ago.

I have this issue where if the computer is left doing nothing for around 10 mins it freezes up completely and cannot get into it without holding in the power button to power it off and let it boot up again, what is frustrating is that i could be working on it for hours with a bunch of heavy applications running like adobe cs or running games like bf3 and it will be fine but as soon as it goes idle for a short period it freezes?

It also happened a few moments ago, but this time it was as soon as I powered the computer on and logged in.

I have searched through the event viewer and there appears to be a pattern every time this happens I get the following error message

The AODDriver4.2 service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

A few days i was getting this once before the freeze but now it appears twice in the logs.

There was also another one, but I think I have fixed it as it has not appeared in the event viewer in the last two crashes.

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
cdrom

I have done a bit of research on the AODDriver 4.2 service, and apparently it is linked to my ATI graphics card somehow but there is not alot of posts on the net about this issue. I have included a screenshot of my amd vision engine information.

I've been having issues with the system running slowly. At  startup and when starting g a browser the disk is being accessed at a very high rate which slows the system  to a standstill. Often the browser is unresponsive for 20 seconds or more. I am running System Diagnostics from the startup menu. The SMART Check, Short DST and long DST all passed but the Startup Test failed. The diagnostics feature did not offer any more info about the failure or possible fixes. Does anyone know more about this test/failures/fixes? Thanks

Lenovo Support offers the WLAN driver for Atheros/Realtek/Broadcom from 7/16/2015 for Windows 10 x64. The Atheros driver version is 10.0.0.321, the file is 0ig302af.exe/77,1MB. But the driver failed. When I try to install I have the message"No appropriate driver to be installed". In my G510 I have a Qualcomm/Atheros WLAN card, not a Atheros/Realtek/Broadcom card. But I think, the Atheros driver version is the same and Lenovo Support doesn´t offer a WLAN driver for Qualcomm/Atheros. What is to do?

Can we try a manual install?
Try running the Driver installater again, The first few window of the installation should show you a path where it would extract. e.g. C:\Driver\WLAN
 
I need you to take note of the path the installation will show. Continue the installation until it ask you for a nother installatin confiration question with a check box. Uncheck the boxx that says Install.
 
Now Open Device Manager and open Network adapters and look for your WLAN (Atheros)
Right click and hit on update driver, Select Browse my computer for driver software
Now the next page will give you an option to browse, direct that browse option to the extraction folder earlier and Continue the install.

i downloaded latest intel driver from lenovo itselfwhenever i try to install it says the driver being installed is not validated for this computer.i download intel driver update utility also didn't do anything it said that this oem version doesn't accept custmizing.even though it updates wlan and bluetooth driver.of course i have reset the pc using one keyrecovey and tried it also failedhow ever when u update via windows 10 update it updates so what is the problem and how come a driver that is being listed on lenovo site and it not compatible with its own hardware manufacture.

Hi! So okay. I hope I'm at the right place for this.

Last year my laptop suffered from a pretty hard crash just when I was opening Spotify (pretty strange). I managed to get the computer up and running again after many factory resets, un/installations of drivers and so on. Don't remember half the things I did back then.

But since then I've still suffered from DSODs, like every time I restarted the laptop or something like that. But after some BSODs I've always got back in the computer, so I kept on living with it sort of. But recently the laptop just kept on crashing everytime it came on to the "Welcome..."-loading screen. Sometimes it works but its rare, but Safemode works fine.

The error the BSOD throws me is "Attempt to reset display driver and recover from time out failed" with the note pointing to atikmpag.sys. I've searched and tried so many different solutions I would like to think but I feel the need to get some help on this actually.

Followed the instructions for creating a log and below is my specs:

Computer: Samsung Notebook 305V5A-T05
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
CPU: AMD A8-3530MX APU with Radeon Graphics
RAM: 8GB (2x 4GB Samsung)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series, AMD Radeon HD 6620G

The zip is not containing a lot of necessary info. As it is stated in the OP, it is possible that the crash dumps are not recorded, but we need some other info. Please provide these two .....

► upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.
Click on the start button
Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Hi guys, so im fixing my neighbors laptop for him. He gets bsod at startup about 90% of the time but is still able to boot correctly a small portion of the time. When he does boot itll run for about 30 minutes and then shutoff with bsod again. I scanned and removed all malware and ran a virus scan as well, and cleaned up all junk files and registry errors with CCleaner. I also ran a system file check against a windows 7 install disc to make sure everyting looked a ok there. I opened up his boot log and saw a number of failed drivers which I am assuming is the problem. I will attach it here. Anyway are the failed drivers the problem, and if so is there an easy fix, or should i salvage his data and reinstall. Thanks a bunch

What virus scans did you run and what, if anything, did they find. Please post the logs.

I would strongly recommend you do not use any Registry Cleaners as they often cause more problems than they fix. They can also make Malware detection and clean up more difficult.

What we really need to see is the crash dumps so they can be analyzed.

Have you checked the system is not overheating, have you cleaned out the cooling fan and the exhaust?

Please follow this small guide to attach your minidump files so they can be analysed.
First locate your minidump files, open Windows Explorer and click on the C: drive in the left pane, in the right pane look down the list of folders and double click on Windows to view its contents. NOTE: If your operating system is installed under a different drive letter then look there. Scroll down the contents of the Windows folder and look for a folder called minidump and double click on it. You should now see the minidump files which will have a .dmp extension.

Zip up at least 6 of the most recent files into one zip folder (if there are less then just zip up what you have).
NOTE: To zip up the files in Windows (all versions). Right click the file, click on Send To, and then click
Compressed (zipped) Folder. That will create a zip folder containing a copy of the file, you should see it appear.

If there is more than one .dmp file click on the first one, hold down the shift key and then click on the last one. That should highlight all the files. ... Read more

Hello everyone. I'm a big fan of this incredible website but I haven't actually posted here ... until now. Hope someone has some advice for me.

My HP laptop running Vista somehow picked up something nasty. Simple scans were not fixing it, so I figured I'd try to do a System Restore back to a point before I picked it up.

Short story is the Restore failed ... and now I can't get Windows to load even in safe mode.

Here's what I was able to copy manually from the error screen:

Using Windows 10 version 1511 and all updates.  Used the Lenovo System Update and everything has been updated.  I wanted to turn on the built-in camera on my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 530, the F5 key, and it came up with a message saying, "This key combination opens the Lenovo Settings Program. You do not have the Lenovo Settings Program installed on your computer. To launch the program using this key combination, install the program first." I went and downloaded the Thinkpad Settings Dependency for Windows 10, restarted the laptop and it still doesn't work. Even the Lenovo System Update program has it and I also downloaded it.  I restarted the laptop again and it still doesn't work. I then went to install the Lenovo Settings App on the Windows store and it doesn't look like the right one plus it still didn't work. My other problem is with the Lenovo Companion App from the Windows Store.  It worked before but now it ask to "Please install or update the Lenovo System Interface Driver for full functionality of Companion, then restart the app after installation."  I have installed the Lenovo System Interface Driver multiple times and it still popped up that message.  Yes, I have restarted the laptop and Companion.   Is there a reason why these issues are happening and how to fix it?  Thank you in advance.

I have a Dell Inspiron running both Windows 7 and Ubuntu. Linux boots up fine, but I can't get Windows to boot to the log in screen. I tried startup repair, but it failed to fix the issue. It said that the root cause found was
 
"A patch is preventing the system from starting"
 
I can't do a system restore (no points), or a system image recovery, so is my only option a Dell Factory Image Restore? Note that I do have access to all my windows files via ubuntu.
 
 

Answer:Startup Repair Failed: "A patch is preventing the system from starting"

When you do a "Factory image restore" the partitions of Ubuntu will also be deleted and put back to the default state when the computer was first bought. 
 
 
1. Backup all important files.
 
2. Try Macrium Reflect free or another program to backup your Ubuntu partitions. 
 
3. If you're sure you have backuped your personal files and have a backup from the partitions. Then you may proceed to do a Factory Image Restore.

Yesterday my Windows 7 machine crashed a couple times - the first time the screen just went black, and the second time it looked like a video driver problem. There was no BSOD either time, I had to do a hard power off and then restart.

When I started up the computer after the second crash, Windows gave me an option to do a Startup Repair, so I did that. After a half hour or so, it told me that some sort of system files integrity check had failed and it couldn't fix it. But still I was able to boot into Windows and everything seems to be working OK.

I looked in the event log to see if I could find that error about the system files integrity check failing, but I couldn't find it. Should I be worried about the fact that the integrity check failed?

Run sfc /scannow from a Elevated Command prompt. I believe that is what the repair process was talking about.

My pc failed every time to install pc suite and usb driver/ adv driver..
But at mass storage mode I'm able to open its phone & sd card storage on pc.
Every time I open the package file of pc suite, it blinked a page for just a nano second then disappear..
There's a lenovo smart assistance I have downloaded. Although it was able to install, but cannot find the phone over usb connection..

Anyone know when or where Lenovo will release / has released a windows 10 compatible driver for the Intel Wireless ac-7260 wifi adapter (mine is in my T440S)? Currently it's not possible to upgrade because the wifi adapter fails to operate correctly and I can find no update from Lenovo for my notebook and the ac-7260 adapter on the site that supports windows 10.     I also tried the Intel "generic" drivers but that failed to resolve the problem. I tried many things and just could not get it to work for many different reasons that all boiled down to the adapter driver failing to work and giving errors or simply not working at all. Now  that Windows 10 is released surely Lenovo has an adapter driver somewhere for it?

I have the same exact laptop and had no issues with the wireless drivers. I manually check the downloads page of my product on Lenovo for the latest drivers but before I install them I uninstall the device drivers from within device manager and also select the option to uninstall the driver software.Hope this helps!

Hi! Need Help. When my system tries to go in STANDBY an Exclamation Point sign appears like the one in my Title appears. It says:

System Standby Failed
The device driver for the 'Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver.

Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do to fix it? I tried updating the driver, but it says it is unable to find one.

I tried to extract the B50-30 Realtek Lan Driver for 64bit and it looks like there's a 32bit driver inside the setup package.
 
Can you try the following:
1. Download this Win7 32bit Realtek LAN driver and extract it (e.g., to the desktop)
2. Open Device Manager > Other devices > Ethernet Controller (right click > choose Update driver software) > Browse my computer for driver software then point it to the folder where you extracted the files in Step 1.
 
If successful, the Realtek LAN driver should be installed.
 
As for WLAN and the other missing drivers, can you follow this guide on how to get their hardware ID and post the results here.

I recently upgraded my Lenovo 3000 H210, M/T 5355-2NU from Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) to Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) with the media received through the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Fulfillment Program. I installed the 64-bit version of the Common Components Installation v1.0.0.8 and restarted the computer and then installed the 64-bit version of the Lenovo Driver and Application Installation program, v5.1.0.0900.  Afterrestarting the computer, I receive a message box stating "Cannot access the Service Partition".  If I click onLenovo Driver and Application Installation on the Start Menu, I receive an error that the installation has notcompleted.  Restart to complete the installation.  If I restart the computer, I am back to the first error. Any idea how to resolve this situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance. -Larry

I purchased a brand new Yoga 2 Pro in  the US. SHipped to the UK, and workd fine for 10 days when the SSD suddenly failed. Shipped to Levovo for warranty repair. After 6 weeks they decalred it unrepairable bacause they "cannot get the parts". This a system currently being sold on the Lenovo UK and US web sites, where they specifically mention that "You can count on lightning fast read/write speeds with up to 512GB of reliable solid-state drive (SSD) storage". Does anyone else find it incredible that they should reach such a conclusion for a system that is only a few weeks old. Thay are effectively sellingb systems that they cannot repair, which seems very sharp practice. I suspect that part of the problem is that they sent the system to Germany for repair, and that particular model is out of stock on the German website. Hardly a global approac h to customer service.

I feel for you, but shortages on high-end or high demand electronic components is nothing new to any manufacturer.  It's unfortunate for us consumers, but it happens to every manufacturer at some point. They should be sending you a new machine if they cannot repair the old one. Stinks that you're stuck in this, but it doesn't seem like they didn't try.  There are other companies that are much worse, they could just ignore you for months. Good luck, ask them to send you a replacement system.

"OMCI system driver failed to load on start up." Source: Service Control Manager.

I have had this error message appear repeatedly over the past 2 months or so.

More recently the following also fail to load:
PCIIde
ViaIde

Windows (XP SP2) also often fails to start, sometime failing after the Windows logo screen has run, sometimes it doesn't get that far. Hitting the power and re-trying works...

Any advice appreciated.

Hi, I am currently having problems with a desktop that's part of a small network. It is running Windows XP Professional SP2. Initially I found it runnig without any Anitivirus protection with the Windows Firwall disabled. I re-enabled the latter, and promtly downloaded malwarebytes, and after a scan in SAFE MODE found and removed 2 viruses.
I then proceeded to download a free antivirus protection and before installing created a restore point. After installation, I attempted an high-prority update to SP3. This hung and so I cancelled following 3 hours. Cancelling the update was not clean since this process itself stalled requiring a forced exit of the process. The system seemed to be fine but was running noticebly slower so I ran a system recover to a restore point created automatically at the beginning of the update to SP3 - the point referred to a check of the system configuration prior to the start of the update.
The restore process started and ended within an hour. Upon automatic restart however the load hangs just after the windows logo appears with the task-loading bar below it. At this point the screen goes black and displays 'no signal input' following which the load process restarts in a continuous loop.
I would be grateful for any suggestions as to what may be happening and how to solve it. As is always the case with these things It is a really high priority to get the desktop up and running again.

Dear all My system has an age of 8 weeks (!) and initially after I bought i booted up the pre-installed windows7 and created the recovery dvd set (boot disc, and the 3 data discs). I then had to install a linux on the system which was running fine the last 8 weeks (complete wipe of disk prior to linux install).I now wanted back to restore the factory pre-installed win7 (again, wipe disk with image). While creating the recovery set there was no error seen. During the restore all went smooth, until the last few steps taken on data disc 3, there poped up a message like "windows failure, my be caused by hardware change" -> you only can click OK (which i made). After booting, you are not able to startup windows. Windows claims the error: Title: Windows Boot ManagerWindows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: 1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.2. Choose your language settings, and then click "next"3. I've got a problem with the laptop Lenovo T410s. I've put the new HDD on it (tried even the same with a different HDD too), and started to instal WIN 7 64-bit from the recovery disks. I used to do it many times so far with different Lenovo laptops without any problems. But this time, a while before the end of the instalation (when processing the sdrivebackup.wim) it stops and comes with a statement: " the recovery process has been finished, please ...." (but I see that the progres bar is far awayfrom 100%) , and finishes the instalation, reboot the computer and it comes the screen with the statement from the Windows Boot Manager:"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem (...) File: \Windows\system32\winload.exeStatus: 0xc000000fInfo: The selected entrycould not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt" I read a lot about the ways to solve similar problems, but they don't work on my case. The strange thing is, that I can instal WIN 8 or WIN7 from regular Windows instalation disks  (not from Lenovo recovery, but from normal universal Windows instalation disks).As I told before, I tried it in 2 different HDD disks with the same effect. I'm not sure this is a source of issue but who knows...What are the Boot Mode setting in BIOS Setup menu and HDD partioning type? For the Lenovo recovery they must be "Legacy" (it means BIOS, not UEFI) and "MBR" (i.e.not GPT).If you installed win8 at least UEFI setting persists instead of legacy BIOS one

Hi all.

My pc has been hanging randomly and I have to use the power button to shut down/restart.

I've checked in events and there is this error which seems to be causing the problem as the time matches with the hang time.

I posted another topic with another bsod issue in the bsod section, and I was told to run some tests.

A day or so ago, I tried and changed Driver Verifier settings as were instructed in one of the threads here which also mentions that it is an iffy thing to do.

Anyway, I lost windows and could not start again, luckily I had a backup made, and after formatting my HD, loaded it on to it. This error seems to be a driver issue (Screenshot).

Should I go down the Driver Verifier route again ? To be honest I don't want to. If I lose windows again it would be very frustrating.

I've run the following tests so far here

I have no driver issues showing up in Device Manager, so that looks ok.

I looked around and found a reference to Mother Board Monitor which at least sounds like it might be the culprit.

Do you have that application installed, or some other temperature / fan speed monitoring sw?

Alex Van Kaam, the author of Mother Board Monitor, stopped development in 2004 citing his frustration getting technical information from mfgrs.

Anyway, if you have Mother Board Monitor installed, remove it. If you have other monitoring sw, post what you have and someone might know more about that sw (MBM source used?)

I have a T61p running Windows 7, which I recently had to send to Lenovo for service after the video failed. According to my repair summary, the motherboard on the computer was replaced. I received the laptop back today, and now when I log on, the system comes up with a window from Client Security Solution asking me to "verify my identity" with "reason: system key recovery." Unfortunately, the program will not recognize my password, and I get an error message that authentication has failed. I tried calling Lenovo's support number, since the problem seems to be directly related to their replacement of the motherboard, but I received the response that "that's a software issue, we can't help you." Any help on this is much appreciated!

Hi guys.  I have a Dell Inspiron 15r SE 7520 laptop, running Windows 7 64 bit with a dual video card thing going on (integrated Intel Graphics 4000 and an ATI Radeon HD 7730m).  I had upgraded to the newest 13.12 ATI driver recently in an attempt to fix some problems with some of my games running slow.  In the process I messed up my Aero Glass, so I figured I'd uninstall the ATI driver and reinstall it, which I had done before in the past with no problems.
 
I ran the ATI Catalyst driver uninstaller and things were going OK, but partway through it blue-screened.  The message indicated that the problem was due to the display driver timing out during a restart.  I rebooted, and figured I'd go into safe mode.  Instead, I ended up in the Startup Repair utility, which was unable to solve whatever problem has happened. The results from the utility said:

minidump file is attached

been having blues screens for about a month. first one was weeks ago. i didnt do much and didnt have many files so i just reset the computer from the system settings thinking that might help.
ive tried to uninstall software like anti virus and anti malware.
the names attached to the massages are varied but its usually a message that says system service exemption and then a .exe or other file type.

Ok now, I've been searching all over the Internet and I've found many solutions to this problem which do help some and not others, and they're all different. Out from the answers, came up that one :

What Happened...
My started to face some BSOD issues in April, I started to believe into issues related to SSD OCZ2, which I replaced by a Samsung 840 Pro. However, while trying all kinds of solutions, I noted that the issue whatever it was was not the disk, so I reuse both SSD as C: and D:, on top of all other partitions
 
In fact I could come back to a Backup via Easus, that backup is like an enriched clean install, which is one year old, but seems to be very fit. It costed me Days to succeed and not lose more.
 
After maximum 2 additional weeks, BSOs came back. There is not any cause mentioned in the BlueScreen.
I jumped again onto the Windows 7 installation Disk (both CD and USB) to run all kinds of tests, with no success.

As my Mobo Asus P8P67 has a design error (built 2011), I first decided to send it back to Asus.
First time to disassemble and soon reassemble a PC.
 
If technically all ok, I will proceed with the main issue : pnpclass.sys blocks in safe mode. All other boot modes being out.
 
It seems to leave all doors of errors open, so again if anybody would help out, I wouldn't reject the support.

Hi everybody,

This is my first post on this forum. I've recently come across a problem with my computer. I'm running Windows Vista 32 bit. I shut the computer down one day, and the next day turning it on I came across this problem.

Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.

I have no clue what this means. It said insert windows installation disc and repair computer. I did this, self repair found nothing. I then tried system restore and it could not initialize which is a pain in the ass. My last resort is to reinstall windows vista but I think I'm going to lose everything.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

First see if you can boot into Safemode without it giving you that error. If you can, first try searching for that driver to see if its even in your system32 folder.

I recently just checked my computer and it is not in mine by default, which means its a file relating to a third party program/app that has been installed on your machine. If you can figure out what the abbreviation for NQGBWC is from the list of installed applications on your computer, then you can isolate which program on startup is causing the failure on booting windows due to the missing system file.

As you may have already tried, i cannot simply google search nqgbwc.sys as it gives me just THIS post only. If you cannot find the problem, then the only thing possible from there is to reinstall your OS but of course BACK UP EVERYTHING IMPORTANT FIRST.

My computer recently started having issues........ here is what is going on:
* boot computer
* Windows boot screen displayed ~ 1 minute
* screen goes black. Can move mouse. Drive light constantly on, not blinking. ~ 5 minutes
* log in screen comes up / log in
* Desktop loads ~ 1 minute
> sometimes it loads with regular windows aero theme other times it loads with basic windows classic theme.
* Error message pop up "failed to connect to System event notification service"
* Have to wait for about 5 more minutes before computer is actually usable
* The audio service does not work as well...
from when I press the power button to when I can actually use my computer takes 10 - 15 minutes.

Here is what I have tried so far
*Turning off all start up programs / services
*Tested Memory - passed
*Hard Drive Self Test ---- # 1 - 7 fail / I am guessing that this is the source of the problem, however my computer does still work once everything is finally booted. So I don't know what to do with that information or if that test even matters.
* I have tried looking at the event viewer but every time it says that the event log service is unavailable.

* tried "netsh winsock reset" in command prompt, based on a different thread that I found - it didn't work

This seems to be a common problem, I am now also experiencing the same.
I have Win 7 Home Premium 64. Did chkdsk /r, defragged, tried sfc/scannow scanned for viruses and even tried reseting winsock.
My aero themes are greyed out, when trying to fix it with MS fixit it errors out.
It takes a long time to boot and then says "failed to connect to System event notification service"

One search on google will show this is a major problem, so why does MS not come out with a fix.
This seems to be the biggest frustration with Win 7 compared to XP, lack of support from MS.

I have recently been having problems with one of my Windows 7 x64 machines which was stable for about 7 months before it started having problems again. Before it was stable it had similar problems to what I'm seeing now, except it lacked BSODs. Reseatting the memory fixed those issues it was having before. It is similarly configured to another computer I have that runs fine, so part swapping is an available option for memory, video card, and processor.

It suffers from a seemingly random assortment of BSOD problems (though SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL are the most common so far). Most of the BSOD point to ntoskrln.sys driver, one has pointed to the Nvidia driver (nvlddmkm.sys). It also sometimes crashes outright without a BSOD, going black and then restarting or just freezing. The BSOD and other restarts happens mostly when playing video games, but has also happened watching Hulu, or letting it sit at the desktop. When it restarts seldom does it not post the BIOS and give a BIOS error code instead. I haven't recorded the beep codes, but it appears to be long beeps running continuous without end; which according to Gigabyte means "memory not correctly installed".

I have tried updating my BIOS, chipset and video card drivers; but have found older Nvidia drivers to be more stable. Though this could just be coincidence as the crashes are random and the machine can be stable for hours playing a game one day and then suffer repeated crashes ... Read more

Today I tried to log onto my User Account, which is the Admin. and I received the user profile service service failed to logon notice, out of nowhere. When I signed on to my fathers account whose is also on my pc, it allowed me to with no problems. When I try to configure the Administrative or Account settings, after typing my password, no action takes place. When I try to download the Fix it program from Windows 7 it doesn't allow me due to the need for the Admin. password, which I type and no action takes place as well. I tried Safe + Command mode and net user administrator/active:no to deactivate my Admin. password. Didn't work. I have several files in my account I need for school, work, etc. I was trying to make the other User Account the Admin thereby freeing my User account of this problem, no luck. When I log on in Safe Mode it allows me to log on to my Admin User. I tried restoring settings to the latest date that appeared, no luck. Someone pleaseee help I have absolutely no idea what to do.

Tap F8 when you turn the PC on or restart; when you get the Windows boot menu there should be some recovery options, I think near the bottom of the page. Try a System Restore to the most recent date prior to this problem.

Well...those two errors are somewhat different.
 
The user profile service error is common, IMO, while the server endpoint error seems related to networking.

Hey, Wonder if anyone can help me.

My laptop aint letting me log into either User Profiles, a message keeps coming up saying "The User Profile Service service failed the login. User profile cannot be loaded."

Anyone know I can fix this? Got a Toshiba Equium A200-1V0 if that helps.

I have a Vista laptop and am having some major trouble.
I received the 'The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded'. Its been like this for about a month and I have forgotten the laptop password (I have always used a fingerprint scanner so I forgot my password.)
My questions now are how I do repair the computer and also restore the password?

Hi - Having lots of trouble here and very frustrated. On login, I get the message "Failed to Connect to a Windows Service. Windows couldn't connect to the Group Policy Client service. This problem prevents standard users from signing in. As an Administrative user you can review " (I am not sure what other parts of the message I am missing).

So, there are other thread out there for this problem, but I can hardly do anything on my desktop right now. Very Ironic to me that about the only that seems to work okay is Microsoft Edge so I could get here. Other threads have talked about running some things from the command line (as admin) or going into regedit. I have tried these things. But I get stopped. Ususally 5 minutes or so later I will get some kind of message stating it could not run the program in an appropriate amount of time. I tried to go into event viewer and got the same thing.

I don't even know what is going on. For some reason I believe that the root cause of this was me being dumb enough to accept when windows 10 wanted me to run with my Hotmail account as the administrator of the pc (so I sign in with my Hotmail credentials).

I don't even know a next step because almost everything I try gets blocked. I try to switch to run as a local user and that bombs out every time. I tell you, I loved windows 7. I now lividly hate windows 10. I skipped everything in between and then bought a new pc thinking it would be okay with 10. Boy was I wrong.

I am attempting to the load the software for a Canon Mx850 printer to my Lenovo PC with Windows Vista.

I get the message Print Spooler Service has been stopped. I have checked in the services area and it is set to automatic. When I attempt to start it. I get the following Error: 1068 dependency service or group failed to start.

I have gone to the command prompt and typed the following: sc config spooler depend= RPCSS however I get message access denied. I am set as the system administrator. Not sure what to do at this point. Very frustrating. Printer works fine when connected to laptop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Double click on the Print Spooler service to open its Properties. On the Dependencies tab see upon what it depends, and trace back to see if the cause/fix can be determined. Caveat: no guarantee this will work any better than your command attempt.

Yesterday my wife's HP ENVY laptop began to have problems; screen blinking and slow typing.  The laptop is running Windows 8.  I ran MiniToolBox and found numerous errors for HpConnectedRemoteService.exe continually terminating and restarting.  After finding a post on this site about that service I uninstalled it.  Things seemed to be fine after uninstalling it, but then I found the Print Spooler Service wouldn't start.  I finally fixed it.
 
After all of this I decided to run MiniToolBox again and found error messages stating "The HTTP Service service failed to start due to the following error: %%1009.  I don't know if this is a problem and if her PC is infected.

Go ahead and install Ccleaner. Now that you have the program installed go ahead and run the cleaner function.
Now that you have cleaned out some temp files, lets go ahead and disable all of the items starting up with your machine except your antivirus. To do this you will need to click on tools then start up select each item then disable.
Now that you have disabled those un-needed start ups lets go into the settings, we will have Ccleaner run when your machine boots, so that you will never have to worry about cleaning temp files again.To do this:
Hit options.
Settings.
Place a tick to run Ccleaner when the computer starts.

Now go to the advanced tab, and select close program after cleaning, now run the cleaner again this will close Ccleaner.
 
Reboot your machine and then follow the  instructions below.

hello,
I have upgraded vista to win 7 home premium, everything was going great, until the network card stopped working, i used talktalk "talk and go" to reset the adaptor then the computer re-set and shut down.
i restarted but it wouldn't get to the log on page before shutting down.
I borrowed a laptop and found a thread to turn back the clock to vista with some command prompts, but this didn't work.
To compound things i then saw open in previous good something and the log on screen appeared - i thought YES, but NO..... typed in my password......"The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loeaded". it appears that i have deleted my account...
i have looked at other threads of this nature and have been directed to a vista tutorial - however it staes that you must be logged on as an administrator - i can't log on!
i've tried opening the command prompt and turing on the in built administrator, but i have to restart to get back to log on page which defeats the command prompt.
i have tried to re-install win7 but comp tells me i have started with disk in restart then insert disk. this does nothing...

i'm really really fed up at the mo i thought that win 7 would be better than this.....

any help to solve this would be great. thanks

Hi! I am unable to log in to my desktop at all on my laptop. I keep getting an error "User profile cannot be loaded." I am unable to enter Windows to edit the registry.  The laptop goes straight from the HP logo to the Windows login screen.

Hi everyone, I always lurk around these forums for many a computer issue throughout the years, but after several BSODs rampaging through my system for the last few days, I decided it was time to make an account and get some direct help.

The BSODs are not a normal occurance. It started this week, happening just before I'm browsing the web (Firefox) normally. A "Content Encoding Error" page shows up after some random interval, and it seems that the BSODs happen right after I reload the page a couple times.

The messages that usually show up are Driver irql not less or equal or System service exception.

Naturally, I tried some basic remedies, like booting up the Safe Mode and scanning for malware with malwarebytes or adwcleaner, but no dice. I thought it would be a driver issue, and updated all of them through Driver Booster (Iobit).

I've cleaned with CCleaner, so the dump files aren't all that impressive, but I can't understand a lick of it.

I've attached the minidump file below. Let me know if there's anything I can clarify.

I kept getting a BSOD with System Service Exception. I tried to reinstall my video card driver and afterwards received Driver Power State Failure. Really appreciate any help anybody can give me. Thanks for any help!

I have a Lenovo N2000. The other day it went on hibernate and from now on everytime I try to start the laptop, it turns on for 10 seconds and then suddenly shuts off. I tried removing almost every part (memory, hard drive, battery) and just used the AC adapter and it still dies after few seconds on power on. I never seen this problem. I don't even see anything on the screen/display or any sort of beeps whats so ever. I hear the fan for a few seconds and it turns off. I even cleaned the fan but overheating is not the problem.

Hi Team,

I am getting below error when I try to install an application.
Application installed fine on my local Win 10. Issue is with the Virtual Machine I have setup using VirtualBox.

VM OS I am using is win 7 and win 8. Both have the same issue.
I tried running the application as "Run as Administrator" but still no luck.

Ok have a serious problem with a Windows 7 PC.

When you boot you get the login screen, click login, then instantly displayed with this message:

"User Profile Service service failed the login.
User Profile cannot be located."

You cannot log into windows normally or in safe mode, I don't use the PC as its someone else's so I don't have any other information as they don't know either they just turned it off and this is what happened when they turned it on.

So its a mystery at the moment.

If you have a Hiren's boot CD or something similar, you could boot to a MiniXP environ, load the registry from the affected system, and perform the registry edits that Microsoft suggests.

I am using a dual-boot system with Windows 10 & Ubuntu. And I have for sometime now without a problem.
Maybe the newest thing I installed has something to do with this (?). It was Ext2Fsd
This morning I switched to Win10. Using Grub2, I believe I chose Windows UEFI bkpbootmgfw.efi.
Only to find this message as a result of trying to login with my usual PIN #. Then I switched to use my password, and it worked. However, everything continued loading very, very slow. Slower than usual that's for sure. Once it seemed stable, I noticed the Windows key was not available. Also Ext2fsd had not loaded on its own, so I manually made it run. I logged off, but this time even with my password it would not log me in. I rebooted, but this time I chose Windows Boot Manager (UEFI on /dev/sda7) (I think).
Windows started doing some fixings, and said it would be over an hour. It really only was a few minutes, but I was not there when it was done. It rebooted on its own, but it went to Ubuntu as it is the 1st on the Grub2 list. I wasn't able to continue checking on this as I had to go to work.

Other people have advised to gain access to another Win10 installation (on PC or a USB drive), to copy the c:/Users folder and replace the one in your pc.

What do you guys think?

Can you check your registry? Make sure your profile doesn't have a .bak to it. If it does delete the .bak and if you have a temp profile add it to that. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

My problem is with my Packard bell Easynote TE Windows Seven, when i put my password in to get started, I get a message saying, The User Profile Service Service Failed The Logon, User Profile Cannot Be Loaded, I Know That My Password Is Correct but i cannot get into my laptop, i wonder if anyone has had this problem and solved it, any help will be much appreciated as long as it is not too technical regards from 1932tommo.

i have ad my laptop for just over a year now, and i have had no problems with it. I was using it fine yesterday, and then i went to go onto it last night and after i put my password into it it come up with the message 'The user profile service service failed to logon'. i have looked on man websites to find an answer to what i should do, and most of the websites tell me to do a system restore, but then when i go to do that it comes up with the message ' Your computer is running in a limited diagnostic state. If you use System restore in this limited state, you cannot undo the restore operation'. anyone got any ideas, as i realy need to use my computer.

If you can't do a "System Restore" try this - Restart computer. While windows is booting hit the F8 key repeatedly. This will bring you to advanced boot options. Select Last known good configuration and you should be good to go.

I only have one user so i cant simply log on as another user and fix it, i cant log on at all, please tell me how you fix it, and if possible can you either restore all data and saved stuff cause i need it for school/college work, or without deleting everything.

Before I list some details, I just want to mention that I read through the info and tried the steps at the following link and outgoing links:

I have the following error message when trying to login to vista on my laptop:

The User Profile Service service failed the login.
User profile cannot be loaded.

Just before the problem happened I was working to remove the Anti Virus Live virus from my laptop via the techsupportforum.com forum.

Two things I did within the hour of the problem happening are:

1. I ran the malware removal program OTL

2. I cleared and set system restore's cash-
as instructed in post#23 on my techsupportforum.com thread
(Anti Virus Live on my Laptop - Page 2 - Tech Support Forum)

Further details-
I can and am able to login to Safe ModeI do not have a program called System Restore in the System Tools folderIn Safe Mode I was able to change my password, but in normal mode I get the same error messageI did windows updates and then tried to remove some of those updates, with only a few files that wouldn't allow me to delete them.Thank you for visiting my thread. If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix my problem it would be great to hear about them.
