I saw this while debugging my Y50-70 (windows 8.1 x64) which had shut down issues Need expert advise on which lenovo driver is this "lenovo HID"
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
Got the same problem...Lenovo Z50-70Win 8.1 x64 The device sometimes doesnt correctly shut down.Display = black and LEDs are on. Need to turn it off "hardcore" via pushing the power button ca. 10 seconds. What the hel is going on? Windows says: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\LENOVOVHID\0000I installed all Lenovo drivers.
3 more repliesI keep getting this warning in Windows 10 at every boot, as well as:
Can't load \Driver\WUDFRD for ROOT\SYSTEM\0002
I've seen that this is unsolved in other threads, hence opening a new one...and crossing fingers
Mod's Edit: System model added to front of Subject line to improve visibility / clarity.
I am seeing several of these Warnings in the Event Viewer, Windows System logs. These are Event ID 219, Source Kernel-PnP.
That said, I am not experiencing any crashes, freezes, BSODs, and everything on my PC seems to be functional. So perhaps I can safely ignore these warnings, but I prefer to get to the bottom of something in case it will lead to problems in the future.
I have done some online research on this event, and none of the suggested fixes seem applicable to me. I have been vigilant in keeping all drivers on my machine up to date. I've checked, and there don't seem to be any newer drivers available for any of my hardware. I also have the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework service set to "automatic" startup.
The details of this event are below.
Any suggested action to remedy my problem? Thanks!

I have a problem with my ThinkCentre E72 (Windows 8). Suddenly, it shuts down with "shut-down" screen. Later, in my Event Viewer, I found the following System Warning:"The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\SYSTEM\0001" where the source of problem is Kernel-PnP. Only thing that is plugged in my computer is mouse, keyboard and monitor. Many thanks,Matija
In case anyone else is affected by this, please have a look at my post in Kernel-pnp (PLEASE HELP). Best regards // ThinkErEr

Hi there!
I'm in a desperate need of help.
This is the situation (sorry for my bad English as always...).
Yesterday I left my PC running with a download in progress through MiPony.I told the program MiPony (for the first time) to shut down the PC at the end of the download.Until then the PC had no problem. Before going to bed I checked the PC and I saw that it was offThis morning I turned on the PC and I glimpsed a sign that it was starting a scan (the only letter I saw was I:\) but I could not stop it.The PC is turned on regularly. Only half an hour later I found out that an entire 3TB HDD in 4 partitions had disappearedI did some search and found this error: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE\0000.I tried to reboot but same situation (no scan and normal situation) but NO drive.I checked the event log (attached) and I see the problem started after 4 different event regarding my network connection (It's a week that I have to reset the modem \ router several times a day)

3 more repliesHi,
Since the 11/18/2012 event viewer (Event ID 219, Task Category 212) has been posting a warning:
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN (followed by name of USB device)
It only occurs on start up if I have a USB memory device plugged into a USB port. The USB memory device functions perfectly and the error never occurs when I plug in and out a memory device after boot up.
The error only occurs for memory devices like memory sticks, external USB hard drive does not cause this error.
Checking back to around the 11/18/2012 I see nothing that I have changed/installed that might indicate something that has caused this. No other Windows 7 failures or issues.
Booting a second hard drive with windows 7 on the same system (I have this second installation for testing faults etc), the issue does NOT occur.
From checking forums and searching I have found a few others with this issue and a few articles on its cause
WUDFRd failed to load for the device
Event ID 219 is logged after you install Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
I was just curious as to why it would suddenly start occurring after a particular date when as far as I can tell I have not made any changes to anything around this date.
Also I wondered if there was a fix to stop this, other than removing a memory stick before boot up!
Any thoughts?
I just started getting this exact same error message logged in Event Viewer when I plug a USB stick into a USB port. It happens with two different sticks from two different manufactures, but it does not happen every time I plug them in. It seems that it may mostly happen the first time I plug a stick in after I have booted up my PC.
Have you been able to find a solution to get these error codes to stop logging?
Hi
i have a couple of weeks ago installed windows and i just got bsod crash and this was the only error in the event viewer
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_GENERIC&PROD_USB_CF_READER&REV_1. 01#18E3312D81B&1#.
after looking at the minidump i thought it was due to a usb vidio/audio capture device so i tried updating the drivers and windows update couldnt find any and i cant find any online.
could some one help me and check my dump file to see if im right.
thanks
Hi bftdsh.
A stray crash dump is not enough. Click on the button below ....
It will download the DM log collector. Right click on the application and run as administrator. It will generate a .zip file on your desktop. Upload the .zip.

My PC started BSOD-ing a few days ago and now does it every few hours.
It starts with this error:
The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Multi&Prod_Flash_Reader&Rev_1.00#058F63666471&0#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}.
Then moves on to:
The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Multi&Prod_Flash_Reader&Rev_1.00#058F63666471&0#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}.
Then:
Installing printer driver Microsoft XPS Document Writer failed, error code 0x0, HRESULT 0x80070705. See the event user data for context information.
Then:
The print spooler failed to regenerate the printer driver information for driver Microsoft XPS Document Writer for environment Windows x64. Win32 system error code 1797 (0x705). This can occur after an operating system upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive.
Finally:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff80c5d0d15b0, 0x0000000000000000, 0xffffffffffffffff). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: d35c98fc-b1e6-4003-bed9-f7cdbca575e2.
This started happening a few days ago, right after a new update from windows:

Please check MSI for BIOS updates and update every driver that is possible from MSI.
3 more repliesHi,
I'm been having issues a looong time with different sorts of BSOD's but I've been able to cook it down to this last one after replacing both graphics card and Logitech headset.
Latest error which occuring at least once per day:

Full event error: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device {C5A047D8-CB5B-40E9-B9E3-316AB06B5A18}\WirelessKeyboardFilter`
Driver environment:
Windows 10 x64 desktop
I have a wireless Microsoft mouse
I do not have a Microsoft wireless keyboard
I have the associated transceiver that should work for both (if installed)
This problem started when my Microsoft wireless mouse driver was updated to version 1.0.102.0 (dated 3/16/2016).
This driver update also appears to be responsible for a few other device errors as well:
I believe this new driver assumes you have a wireless keyboard (without checking) and just tries to load a driver for it.
My temporary fix is/was to rollback the driver to the previous Microsoft version 10.0.10586.0 (dated 6/21/2006):
Anyone else run across this condition or have a known solution using the latest driver?
Thanks,
aardvark
At Windows 10 startup this Warning appears in my Event Log as Event ID: 219.
The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{a1c931b2-3b00-11e5-9c14-806e6f6e6963}#0000000008100000.
I know why this happens. The device in the message is an internal SATA AHCI hard drive. All AHCI drives, even internal ones, are considered removal or hot swapable. It even causes the safely remove icon to appear sort of like it was a USB drive. It happened on Windows 8.x. Don't remember if it happened on Windows 7. I can't make any changes in my BIOS to make it not hot swapable as there is no option for this drive.
The fix to get rid of the message in W8 was to modify the Service 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' Changing the Startup type from Manual to Automatic fixed the problem. However, on Windows 10 this method does not work.
I can't disable the Service as it's needed for other devices. Just wondering if anyone found a nice clean way to get rid of the warning message like in W8?
I have the same issue. I have upgraded from Win 7 home, had some issues so I did a clean install of Win 10 home, and I also tried changing the Windows Driver Foundation - User Mode Driver Framework from manual to auto and same as you it did not work. And, Yes, I have downloaded and installed all of the latest driver/firmware from my manufacturer for all my hardware but still have this issue.

Been searching for days to find a solution for this problem (including fresh installs of Windows 10 etc), and today accidentally found it ... for my Asus Maximus V111 Formula at least, but it may also work on other motherboards
In BIOS, ensure that the XHCI Hand-Off is set to ENABLED (default is disabled)
I changed this, and now I can boot the system with USB devices inserted, and not get any Kernal-PnP warnings
Hope this helps somebody else

For the past couple of days i have been having a problem where my computer just shuts down on its own and then turns back on again. It mostly happens when im launching or playing a game but a couple of times i was just on the desktop and it restarted. I have checked the event logs and it keeps saying this:
The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\SensorsAndLocationEnum\LPSensorSWDevice.
I have searched all over the internet for the past couple of days and have found multiple answers (all of which didn't work). Some say its the psu and others say its the gpu. I personally think it was the windows update that i did three days ago because that was the day it started but i have yet to see anything online about a windows update causing this. I have already updated the graphics drivers and chipset drivers but it didn't change anything. Can someone just tell me whats going on because is just built this pc about 6 months ago and nothing like this has ever happened.

Windows 8.1 Pro x64 - please find the complete system log warning details below and a (related or not?) disk controller error below. Motherboard is an ASRock B75 Pro 3 with an Intel B75 Chipset.
I keep getting these warnings. I get them for all my Windows Portable Devices (disk drives) on boot up. Here are my disks:
Disk 0 on internal SATA 3 connector off an
ASMedia ASM1061 chip on motherboard (internal drive, but enumerated as removable) - Seagate ST100DM003-1CH162 D: data drive
Disk 1 on internal SATA 3 connector off the B75 chipset on motherboard (internal drive, not enumerated as removable - gives no warnings or errors - Seagate ST100DM003-1CH162 C: system drive (has Windows 8.1 OS on it)

Disk (2 or 3 - depends on order of USB connection) on external USB 3.0 connector off back I/O panel of motherboard - Seagate BlackArmor DAS35 USB device G: backup external hard drive
There are no symptoms other than another (probably unrelated) disk controller error (shown below). The controller error is on either drive 2 or 3, but never 0 or 1, so it is one of the external back up drives (the thumb drive or the BlackArmor drive).
Note that on boot up I get the warning for disk 0 above whether or not the external drives are connected so the disk controller error may be unrel... Read more
I get the following Warning, Event ID 219 in the System Log on each boot:

The Event Log Online Help doesn't appear to be working anymore.
I was able to resolve these types of errors with the assistance of the Event Log Online Help in the past. Does anyone know the procedure to troubleshoot this error so it can be resolved?
Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,
I've been experiencing multiple bluescreens daily and what's odd about them is they occur randomly while using many programs; however, I have noticed that they occur more frequently directly after opening a new tab, loading a new site or running a game (StarCraft II).
Looking through Event Viewer. I see a list of warnings and errors immediately prior to the BSOD. In chronological order:
9:07:18 PM CRITICAL- "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
9:07:28 PM WARNING- "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_0483&PID_2016\5&249af6f9&0&2."

This has been a problem for over a year now. 140+ identical PCs running identical images, with identical keyboards. Some have the problem, some do not, and it's incredibly unpredictable.
PCs are HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF running Windows 7 x64 Professional.
People will be working at their PC, hear the USB disconnect sound, and their keyboard will become unusable for 30+ seconds.

Re-imaging the PC has no effect but that same image running on another PC with the same hardware can run without ever experiencing the problem. The system I use has not experienced the problem once in over a year.
I have rebuilt the image from scratch and pushed it out to a group of people experiencing the error. It seemed to resolve it for a few months and then the errors inexplicably came back. I know this may sound simple; but have you tried completely uninstalling the keyboard from device manager; then let windows reinstall it? That may fix the issue. If not then post back.

Hi,
So my first xps 13 had ASF2 force off issues so I returned it and wanted to give another try, hoping this time I'll be lucky enough to get a properly working unit this time. However,
Since 4 days my laptop reboot 3 times, ASF2 force off error in power logs every time. And The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\INT3400\2&daba3ff&0 error in event viewer. (Also attached. ) Also whenever this problem occurs, "The speed of processor 1 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 30 seconds since the last report." warning is also given afterwards.
edit: All of them happened while on battery
Help and suggestions are welcomed. I will send this unit back and stay away from dell If i can not solve this again.

Hi,
I have recently bought Samsung galaxy S5 device. When I tried to connect it to my computer I nothing happend (what should have happen is that it will pop up the "What do you want to do? Go to folder/..." menu).

I went to Device manager and under "Portable devices" I see the "SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device" icon with a yellow mark. Possible Solution 2:

Even though you allowed admin in your user profle and allowed it to run in admin, this does not give you full control for all users. Do the following below. Then, Logoff, login with the new admin owner. Only the owner of this pc has full user rights.
Its worth a shot
How to enable the hiding admin account for login
1- In the run type: secpol.msc
2- Find and click on, Local Policies, security options,
3- Over to the Right in the policy setting, (accounts: Administrators account status) Enable
Close tht and got to
1- Run, lusrmgr.msc
2- Create a new user, or use Administrater, Built-in account for administering.
3- Right click, Properties
4- Uncheck, Account is disabled
If you chose you can change the name and add a password, now when you log off you can have the options to log in as admin, owner of this pc and have controll over all users. its better to have th admin login the the below
Or this but sometimes this method has failed and sometimes not
net user administrator /active:yes ,you have admin until reboot, or you go no.

Hello. In "device manager" I see an unknown device with this Id : ROOT\LEGACY_NPF\0000 (plus other references, see next): http://tinyurl.com/lzgqz2hAnd in "information system" : http://tinyurl.com/l9udv4aCarefully I desactivated this device. For now I prefere not uninstall this device because with this desactivation I known where I can find this device and I can still see these features. This device corresponds to nothing about my installation (hardware and software), so I think. And with this device disabled my pc run normally as before.Infection or simple problem ?Does anyone could help me (with a ZHPDiag or a HiJackThis rapport for exemple) for this problem and if necessary tell me how properly eradicate this unknown device from my PC ?Some precisions :My system : windows XP pro - SP3My antivirus (Comodo), adwcleaner and malwarebytes didn't find anything. My PC runs well (excepted sometimes for some slowing down but I think this is due to my configuration --> processor : 1,81 Hz / RAM : 2 Go).Thanks for your support.message edited by craumt

You can identify the problem using Device Manager, which you can access by:
Opening the Control Panel Window
Selecting and double-clicking System
Clicking Device Manager
In Device Manager check if there is an exclamation point, a yellow triangle, or a question mark against your Dell device. If there is, there is a problem with your Dell device.

The only thing I have yet to try is the registry edit. Now I pretty much have that down I just have one simple question. When deleting the upper and lower filters...
While in the registry I have found the upper filters on the right hand side. The only problem there is - No lower filters.
Could this be a problem?
Also , do the upper/lower filters need to be removed from the Control set 001 and Control set 002 . Please get back to me ASAP.
Thanks.
Anyone have even the slightest clue please let me know.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Im practilly computer illiterate so please be easy on the big words and stuff =]
Please try the steps below:
1. Uninstall all third-party burning software, such as Nero and Roxio.
2. Perform a Clean Boot to test the result.
Clean Boot
========
a. Click Start, type "MSCONFIG" (without the quotations) in the Search Bar and Press "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility.
Note: Please click Continue if the "User Account Control" window pops up.
b. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
c. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
d. Restart the computer and test the issue.
Note: Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled, we can re-enable them later. If you see the System Configuration Utility, check the box of "Don't show this message" and then click "OK".
Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment. If the issue disappears, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue.
If the issue persists, please contact your computer manufacturer to check if the DVD drive is damaged.
If not, you may need to restore the system to its factory settings.
Hope it helps.

I downloaded the .iso image of Windows 7 through the software program at Penn State and burned it to a DVD. When I restart my computer and boot off of the DVD drive, I get the Windows 7 Installation interface. As the setup begins, I get an error message that says "Load Driver" across the top of the window, and says "A required CD/DVD Drive Device Driver is missing". I tried a few things to circumvent this issue:
1. I swapped out the installation CD with one of the CD's that came with my laptop that contains all of my device drivers. It found one compatible driver for the ATA/ATAPI Controller, and despite selecting it and hitting next, it didn't work.
2. I took the service tag from my laptop, downloaded each and every driver that it's associated with, burned it to an .iso, and swapped THAT out when I tried to install. Again, nothing happened.
3. I mounted the .iso onto an 8GB Cruzer and made a bootable flash drive. Upon trying the install again, I had the same problem.

Try extracting the ISO to Vista desktop to run Setup from there.
You can locate the driver in Vista's Device Manager SATA controller Driver info tab.
The fact that it would duplicate the error for USB flash install sounds like a malfunction.
Try removing 2 gb of RAM.
Check BIOS version to see if you have the latest.
Checksum the HASH of the ISO you downloaded to confirm it here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/0...vd-iso-images/

hello, and welcome to the forums!
You need to first change the caps to regular letters...
thanks....Your computer is missing video adapter drivers.
Please post the make, model of this computer. And version of Windows you are using.
And if you know it, or have some paperwork that might show you, the make and model of the motherboard in it.
The USB problem is fixable too, when we get the info back from you.
It sounds like the video card you have supports multiple monitors...but the driver wants to be included, too- whether it needs to or not. Do you use any USB devices, like camera, scanner, printer, hard drive, burner, modem now?
I've had a few problems with this laptop and I've just about had it! Hello everyone. Hope you are all doing good today and able to beat the heat on this very hot day. I have this really old laptop HP Pavillion dv6000. Originally it came with Windows Vista installed back when Windows Vista was first released but eventually I upgraded the laptop to Windows 7. Everything was fine and working until recently where the laptop has no sound. I try to install the sound driver from the HP website and it says "driver installation failed: could not find the device for this driver." No matter what I do I cannot get sound on this laptop. If I go to YouTube and watch a video the video plays just fine but with no sound. When I click on the sound icon next to the time on the desktop bar a window pops up that says "troubleshooting has completed" Problems found: "Hardware changes might not have been detected." I am not sure what is up with this or how to fix it but any help is appreciated thanks.
A Vista laptop likely doesn't have Win7 drivers written...try re-installing the originals from the Driver CD and reboot...Plus it's likely you are trying nVidia or AMD drivers gettin it to work which is a no-no on a laptop....

"The following boot-start or system start driver failed to load" It listed nvatabus and nvraid. I have ran Superantispyware with System Restore off9because I cannot get it turned back on) but I have not tried it in safe mode. Should I try running it in safe mode or do you have any other suggestions or reasons why these drivers will not load? Thanks a bunch for any help you can give me with this!!!
When i start my computer up I get the message Error 7323 1 or more network drivers failed to load.
If you are networked then you have trouble beyond my experience. If not, then which Windows are you running 95-XP?Try Google with error+7323 and see what turns up......and maybe my posting will encourage someone with wider knowledge to help you.

Hi Lekso
Welcome to the Lenovo Comunity Forums
For that particular device, please install the camera driver for Windows 7. I have shared te link below.
Camera Driver (AzureWave, Bison, Chicony, D-max) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit):

Any suggestions on what to do about this?
Updating the driver didn't pan out, neither did uninstalling and rebooting (driver installation failed on reboot). Drive was working before. I know this can be solved; seen this before on somebody else's computer a year ago. On the other hand, maybe the driver isn't compat with 64bit Ultimate--but it was OK under 32bit Home Personal.
Correction. The drive in question isn't a CD drive. It's a DVD drive.
20 more repliesHas anybody been able to fix this warning message that came with W8? Every machine I have running W8.1 gets a couple of these warnings at boot time. This system ASRock Z77 OC Formula/3770K seems to get a triple dose of the warnings. I have tried the "Fix" of setting the startup to "Automatic" for "Windows Driver Foundation" but that had no effect. I do have a USB Keyboard and Mouse connected to the system but then who doesn't these days. I know it is just a warning message and probably has no effect on the system but.... I'm so close to having a clean event log at boot time. Any next step suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe W8.1.1 will fix?
I used to see this, but I don't any more. I don't remember what I did to fix it, it was a while back.
But I have the service set like this, so maybe that was it:
wudfsvc = Manual start
I keep getting the following message which I don't understand:
" Output Firewall

Output Firewall functionality is limited: failed to load AFW.SYS driver."
I'm using the free Outpost Firewall which I downloaded from the Majorgeeks site.

Hello!I have notebook Lenovo ideapad 100-15IBD 80QQ.I install all driver from support page Lenovo for my OS (Windows 7 x64)but left one Unknown Device ROOT\LENOVOVHID.Where can I get a driver for it?Thank you!
Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
The most common way to resolve that driver problem is to install the Lenovo Energy Management driver. Unfortunately in your situation there are no Energy Management (Manager) drivers available for Windows 7. In reviewing the available downloads for your model, Energy Management (Manager) downloads weren't available until Windows 10 was released. I'm assuming that your 100-15IDB was originally a Windows 10 machine on which you reverted back to Windows 7?
I've spent 3 hours trying to find the drivers for this. Looked online, any gurus help me please? Ran ThinkVantage updates, Irks me it doesn't find it automatically. I have a t520. if it's an update for the AMT, i cna't find it on the drivers pages, and lenovo removed direct links from URL's, so I don't know where to go from here.

3 more repliesI can't seem to get Windows 7 SP1 to load a driver for an HP printer that is on my home network. My laptop sees it but won't let me make it the default printer or load a driver so that I can link to it wirelessly. I restored my laptop back to windows 7
because Windows 10 was moving too slow. I only have 4gigs of memory, and windows 10 probably runs better with 8gigs of memory.
I have this previous problem... you need not read this for this current problem though

I run on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I want to install a newer update on my ATI graphics video driver. So I downloaded the one that suites mine which is AMD Catalyst Software Suite Omega (14.12) (for Radeon HD 6000 series) and during installation it says "Failed to load detect driver" and stops. Now I don't know what to do.
This is my first time downloading this so there are no programs like this in my "currently installed programs". I tried uninstalling the driver in the Device Manager but it just reinstalls back(when I scan for hardware changes). Thanks for the reply!
Is this a desktop PC or a laptop?
the motherboard is an msi 760Gm-E51
I went to msi website and downloaded the drivers for the motherboard because the system was crashing. I thought it was probably caused but the graphic driver but when I uninstall the driver and tried to run the ccc install again I still get failed to load detection driver. I tried using ddu to totally uninstall the current graphic driver but that didnt work.
I dont know what else to try to get this computer working
Any help will be great thanks in advance.
Did you try the Factory install disks.? I only downloaded a few drivers once & it messed up my Win7 PC. I am sure you will get help from one of our great Tech Gurus on this forum.

I am trying to get rid of event viewer errors and warnings at bootup. This one still eludes me. It appears to be a driver error related to my Epson RX680 printer. Can someone give me a few tips on how to narrow it down further?

What have you already tried to fix the issue? Have you tried looking for an updated driver from epsons website?
3 more repliesI'm working with a Dell Dimension C521 PC. It came with a PCI-Express video card which apparently has failed, yet the motherboard itself has on-board video. The system will boot using this video output (as opposed to the card which produced nothing) but when it finally gets to windows the auto-detect driver routine kicks in and begins to detect the video card, prompting the user to "Continue Anyway" to finish installing unsigned drivers. Unfortunately this event takes place in front of the installation of the USB keyboard and mouse (times like these I wish it had PS/2 ). Anyway, whether I boot up into Safe Mode or normal a prompt comes up about installing drivers for the on-board chipset. I can't interact with it because the driver install routine for the keyboard/mouse becomes interrupted.
Bump. I've been thinking... the only way I think this can be fixed is if I boot from a Linux CD or something similar and delete a particular set of drivers for this video card. It can't prompt you to install any drivers if they don't exist, right? But I don't know where to go to delete such files and prevent them from automatically trying to install themselves. Any ideas?

What i have to do ???

Hi
It looks like the driver / service WudfRd causes the system crash.
After googling around it seems that other people have had the similar system problems.
The WUDFRd is a service and it is called "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework" which is also responsible for USB devices
I would recommend you to disconnect all the devices you had connected to the notebook?s USB ports. You should also uninstall all USB hubs which appear in device manager and then reboot the notebook.
You should also go into services .msc and look for Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework. Check the status of this service. Usually it should be set to manual.
Under "Status" it could be set to off.
If you pluggin a USB device the status change to "Started".
Try to changed the startup type to "Automatic". Then shut down the notebook and restart. Then check the status again to see if it would be still set to automatic.
I recommend you to test and to monitor the notebook functionality without connection of any USB devices. Then plugged in an USB device again and check if an error would appear or system would crash.
Good day to you Sirs.I just bought a Lenovo G510 running Windows 7 64bit and I am missing the ACPI\VPC2004 driver and root\LenovoVhid driver. problem : windows can not load the device driver for this hardware.
the driver may be corrupted or missed.(code 39). Have Vista Home Premium.
I recently had malware installed on my computer called Antispycheck and I just got it removed but now my disk drives are missing from "My Computer." When I go to "Device Manager" all three drives show up, but they have the exclamation sign next to them, when I right click on it and go to properties, it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupt or missing. (Code 39)." I uninstalled the drivers and restarted Windows, Windows found them and installed them, however, they still did not show up in "My Computer" and still had the same error message under "Device Manager." Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

2 more repliesHello,
Can someone please help me find out what driver or service 'ksop' is? Or, how to fix it?
I've been troubleshooting my Windows 7 laptop to try and find the cause of random, sudden shutdowns and a bunch of 7026 and 7001 errors. This 'ksop' error pops up every time I reboot.
I tried clean-booting, SFC, CHKDSK, etc, but I can't narrow down a service as the culprit. I tried Googling 'ksop' but I couldn't find anything that explained what it was, or a record of anyone else asking about this issue.
Anyone out there have any idea?

So far all I've been able to find out is that 'KSop' is a pool tag, and it's associated with something related to Windows 7. I still don't know what driver it's for, how to find out, or how to fix.
If anyone has any ideas, clues, or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Please, I'm at my wit's end!
Scenario:
CMOS battery died. XP got corrupted somehow. I d/l'd Windows 7 Ultimate ISO from MSDN and made a bootable dvd. Installed Windows 7 from the DVD. When I boot up now, I get the following error:
Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing or corrupt.
Status: 0xc0000098
File: Windows\system32\DRIVERS\ql40xx.sys
Can anyone shed some light on how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Evan

Go to website of that company and try to download driver.
You may have to use another compter and download to a finger drive etc.
Once you have it, you can boot from the Windows DVD and try to install.
Alternatively, you can go to device manager, under view, check show hidden drivers. If you find one with a yellow marker, you can try to dowload from there.
Hi all.
My pc has been hanging randomly and I have to use the power button to shut down/restart.
I've checked in events and there is this error which seems to be causing the problem as the time matches with the hang time.
I posted another topic with another bsod issue in the bsod section, and I was told to run some tests.
A day or so ago, I tried and changed Driver Verifier settings as were instructed in one of the threads here which also mentions that it is an iffy thing to do.
Anyway, I lost windows and could not start again, luckily I had a backup made, and after formatting my HD, loaded it on to it. This error seems to be a driver issue (Screenshot).
Should I go down the Driver Verifier route again ? To be honest I don't want to. If I lose windows again it would be very frustrating.
I've run the following tests so far here
I have no driver issues showing up in Device Manager, so that looks ok.
Please advise. Thank you.
I looked around and found a reference to Mother Board Monitor which at least sounds like it might be the culprit.
Do you have that application installed, or some other temperature / fan speed monitoring sw?
Alex Van Kaam, the author of Mother Board Monitor, stopped development in 2004 citing his frustration getting technical information from mfgrs.
Anyway, if you have Mother Board Monitor installed, remove it. If you have other monitoring sw, post what you have and someone might know more about that sw (MBM source used?)
If you haven't tried a Clean Boot, here's a tutorial you can follow:

I am attaching a screen shot of the Kernel-PnP Event 219 that suggests that a device driver is failing to load at start up. I have been receiving this message for about three weeks and can't relate it to any particular event on my computer. I have trawled the net and had a look at Device Manager but I can't ascertain which driver is not loading and presumably needs to be updated.
I downloaded some software called "Driver Manager" and that has identified 28 out of date drivers. To correct the problem I have to pay a subscription that I can not really afford. Can someone help me identify which driver is causing the problem please?
Judesman, I don't recommend paying a subscription as you can get the drivers yourself. That seems to be a plug n play device, look ath the user action section in this link Kernel ID 219

After getting my FF7 set from a friend a couple weeks ago, nostalgia kicked in and I got his FF8 copy also but I'm having problems with it. I also have no problem playing FF7.
Installing it goes along with no problems till the end, where it says "Failed to load custom driver" and it goes to desktop. I try to start the game and same thing. I got the 1.2 patch but am unable to install EAX because again it says failed to load custom driver. What is going on?

SlowDownCPU.exe Windows process - What is it?
Quote:
Important: Some malware camouflages themselves as SlowDownCPU.exe, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. Thus check the SlowDownCPU.exe process on your pc whether it is pest.
In your case, I don't think its a virus as stated above, as if the virus was doing anything its designed not to notify you about it.
First, open the start menu, and in the search box, type in
Folder Options
and press enter. Navigate to the 'View' tab. Check 'Show hidden files and folders'.Then tell him to navigate to C:\Windows and in the search box, type in 'SlowDownCPU.exe'. See what results come up. If there are none, there is no virus affecting system files. If there are results, we will guide you step by step.
EDIT: To stop the program starting up at boot, in the search box type
msconfig
and press 'Ctrl' + 'Shift' + 'Enter'. In the 'Startup' tab, uncheck anything to do with 'SlowDownCPU'.
