I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Z580-Bluetooth not working in windows 10

If you check the following list, z580 is not supported by Lenovo for Windows 10

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103535

I think that might be the reason that your bluetooth is not supported.

Going crazy here and the support so far from Lenovo has been beyond poor so I'm turning to the forums.  I have two brand new Z580 Ideapad's, the only reason we bought them was they were cheap and had bluetooth.  Well I cannot activate bluetooth in anyway on the laptops.  There is no switch, I used the FN+F5 key and all I am prompted with is the Turn Wireless on or Off, nothing about bluetooth.  I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the Lenovo Power Management because I saw a number of posts referring to this piece of software.  I checked BIOS and only saw the option for Wireless.  All drivers are installed and reinstalled multiple times.  I see the Aerthos BT stuff running in the background and there are no conflicts in Device Manager, even looked for hidden devices. The laptops are Windows 7 32bit Enterprise, clean installs with only windows updates and ONLY Lenovo drivers installed IE I didn't use the Windows Update drives for anything.  Any help on where to go or what to do is appreciated.  My next move is to return these and never purchase Lenovo again if I can't get this resolved by Friday as my client is not happy at all. James

Answer:Ideapad Z580 Bluetooth + Windows 7/32 Not working

hi jrhaile,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

That's quite a hassle you got there. From what I know, if you press Fn+F5, you will get a "Lenovo Wireless Device Settings" menu.
 Spoiler (Highlight to read)
If you get the menu but you only see the wireless, what you can try is to:
1, Remove the AC adapter and Battery then press & hold the power button for 30secs (this drains the power off the unit).
2. Reconnect both AC adapter and battery and boot into the BIOS by pressing F2, when you're in, press F9 to set BIOS to default and press F10 to save and exit BIOS.
3. Boot into Windows and try to pair a blueooth device

If the same problem occurs you can try to reseat the Bluetooth module by checking the PCI Express compartment on page 42 of the hardware maintenance manual.

Hope this helps.

Answer:Wifi and bluetooth is not working after upgarding windows 7 home basic to windows 8,,Z580

Hi hemantrocks1990,

First lets check if the drivers for the Wifi and Bluetooth is installed properly under the Windows 8 environment.  On the desktop press the windows key + c, then click on settings, then click on control panel.  Under control panel switch to large icons for view and go to system.  Under system we will have device manager available.

Please check if you can see the category Bluetooth, and the wireless adapter under Network adapters category.  If they are present, go to the properties of wireless adapter and check if the driver version is the latest and if the drivers are installed properly.  The latest Bluetooth driver version for Windows 8 is 12.0.0.1671/8.0.0.206 released 10/24/2012. Here is the link for the drivers.  The latest Wireless driver version for Windows 8 15.5.0.42/6.30.59.26/10.0.0.67 released 10/24/2012. Here is the link for the drivers.

If the drivers are installed properly, then we have to check if we are able to turn on and off the bluetooth or the wireless adapter.  Hit Fn+F5 and see if an interface comes up that gives you radio buttons to turn off or turn on your wireless and bluetooth adapters.  If no interface comes up, you may need to install the Lenovo Energy Management program to enable the hotkeys for turning on bluetooth and the wireless. Here is the link for the Lenovo Energy Management program.

Answer:bluetooth is not working in my z580 laptop

hi vamsilenovo,

Thanks for Using Lenovo Community Forums!

Possible that the Bluetooth Device (Hardware) is not detected by the Driver installation that's why it is not pushing with the installation.
You might want to Check under BIOS Setting if Bluetooth is enabled

To enter BIOS setup utility, press
F2 when the Lenovo logo appears on the screen
while the computer is starting up.
     >Go to the Configuration TAB
And make sure that BT(Bluetooth is enabled)
Press F10 to save the changes and exit
Then Try installing this Driver for your Bluetooth

Bluetooth Driver (CyberTan, Liteon)0mbt12ww.exe373MB

Hope this helps,
Cheers!!

Hey guys, I have seen a lot of members in this forum having trouble to get wifi and bluetooth working in windows 8. I found a solution to make everything work smoothly. Using windows 7 version of energy management and crap is not at all required. Just follow these steps. Before you begin installing windows, download all latest drivers from lenovo US site. Download touchpad and onekey theatre drivers from lenovo china site. Now, switch ON both wifi and bluetooth. If you keep them switched off, windows 8 will never recorgnise the presence of your bluetooth chip. Do not use windows 8 pro volume licence ISO. Instead use windows 8 pro ISO, which you downloaded from win 8 upgrade assistant (assuming you chose digital download option). This ISO has WiFi drivers needed for Z580(broadcom chip). Perform a clean install, not upgrade. Now install all the drivers, you don't have to restart for every driver install. Restart once after everything is installed. Now, you may face WiFi limited connectivity issue. Just head over to Wireless adapter properties and rollback driver. That wil solve limited connectivity problem. Done. Now enjoy windows 8.  One thing I failed to solve is, the battery meter in windows 8 does not show how many hours of battery is left. If anyone knows a fix to this, please let me know.

I want to play music on my mobile phone but listen the sound on my E5450 laptop, using bluetooth (not other methods)
I have paired the device with the laptop, but I see no options in Windows about what bluetooth services is Windows offering to paired devices.
The laptop is using latest Intel bluetooth driver for the device that appears in device manager with name "Intel Wireless Bluetooth", with these hardware ids:
USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2B&REV_0001
There is a "bluetooth headset service" on windows with start type manual, I've started hoping it would allow phone to "see" the laptop as a bluetooth audio headset but no change.
I remember old Windows had a "Services" tab sheet on the bluetooth settings but on my W10 is gone.
Is this gone for good from Windows 10, or only on my laptop? Using latest released windows version.

Answer:How to view/enable bluetooth services (bluetooth windows service is already working) on E5450 with Windows 10?

I?m not sure where to find that info, but streaming audio from your phone to the PC would require that the PC act as an A2DP target, and to my knowledge Windows only acts as an A2DP source.

hi yashikabajaj08,

Welcome to the Forums.

You're issue might be similar to this thread.

If you have gotten the problem after updating the wireless driver either from the Intel website or windows update, try to  rollback the driver from the previous version or perform a System Restore to undo the changes that were made.

If the above doesn't apply to you, can you provide the wireless driver of your wifi module and try to boot into Safe Mode with Networking to isolate if there's a third party security software that might be blocking your connection.

Let me know your findings,

Hi I'm trying to get the hands free mode working in the food app on windows 8.1 It was working at some point but I removed permissions across the board and even disabled my webcam (in a mild fit of paranoia). Anyway I've re-enabled the webcam And the camera app works perfectly fine,I opened the food app and allowed it permission to access the camera and it still won't pick up the camera in handsfree mode. All that happens is that the GUI changes but the camera doesn't switch on (judging by the light) and motion doesn't work. Oh and it says hands free mode is off. What's up? How can it enter the GUI and not be in hands free mode?

Thanks

Hi there,

I just upgraded to Wndows 10 Home from Windows 8.1; everything went smoothly except for the fact that Dolby Home Theater v4 does not work. I had to reinstall it using the .msi file found in the Realtek Audi folders. I chose v4 over any of the other versions because I like how I can tune the equalizer to my liking and different uses. Anyways, the regular audio works and Dolby is turned on but there is no activity appearing on the equalizer and my music does not change once adjusted. Had this problem when doing an optional audio driver update in the past when I was running 8.1. I do not have the option to rollback the driver after upgrading to Windows 10. Does anyone have a solution to this issue or know what the correct Realtek driver is to make Dolby work? This is one of my favorite features of my laptop and I really want it up and running again!

Thank you in advance!

Answer:Z580 - Dolby Home Theater v4 not working after upgrading to Windows 10

For those of you still struggling to find the solution to get your Dolby Home Theater v4 equalizer back on Windows 10, you are in luck. Warning: I highly reccomend cresting a backup before starting this process in case anything goes wrong. There are multiple ways to do that and I usually create a restore point and a system image.Step 1: Install Dolby Home TheaterIf you know that it is installed already skip to Step 2. Look under the control panel to see if it is listed there, if it is go to Step 2, if not go to C>Drivers>Realtek Audio Driver>PCEE4>DolbyHomeTheater.msi and double click and install the software. Restart your computer!Step 2: Uninstall Realtek High Definition Audio speaker driverGo to the device manager and expand Audio inputs and outputs. Right click and hit uninstall where it says: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio). Hit scan for hardware changes. If it still shows the speakers listed, right click and uninstall again. Hit scan for hardware changes and it should be gone. Do not restart your computer!Step 3: Install the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver that is compatible with Dolby Home Theater v4Go to D>Drivers>Audio>Setup.exe and double click and follow the process. If it asks for a restart after uninstalling the driver go ahead and do so. Then it will install the compatible driver and ask for a restart again to finish, do it.Step 4: Install DolbyGo to this website:http://www.thewindowsplanet.com/3765/dolby-home-theater-missing-a... Hi guys, Hoping you can help me out. I installed Ubuntu 13.04 over Windows 8, probably a bit impulsively, but Windows 8 was beginning to irritate me (though I did like it at first). In retrospect I should have tried a dual-boot configuration. Anyway, I can't turn back time -  I now need to reinstall Windows 8 via the recovery media I had to purchase from Lenovo (4 CDs). The problem is they're not working. When I try to boot from the first cd, it loads for about a second, and I'm brought back to the boot menu. I've tried changing the boot order (DVD-drive first, HDD second) but no luck. I even tried wiping clean the HDD using the Ubunu Live-CD (with GParted), in case the problem was that the recovery media couldn't make sense of the Linux ext-4 partitioning. So even with the HDD wiped clean, the recovery disks do nothing. Could it be that they only work if they detect a currently installed version of Windows? I can't think of any other possiblities, other than the disks themselves being faulty, which I think much less likely. Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

My mute button light used to stay brightly lit when I wanted to mute but not anymore. It functions normally but it just won't stay brightly lit. The other button lights stay brightly lit when used, even the volume buttons stay bright for a longer period of time than the mute light. One support person said it was working as it should but I disagree. I know how it was working before and I know it's not the same. It was nice seeing a brightly lit mute button so I knew it was okay to start a video and not wake my sleeping wife right next to me but now I have to check every time I start a video. This isn't life or death but it's really annoying and I want to fix it. Thanks

Hi. I am having issues with Bluetooth on my IdeaPad Z580.Prior to last Wednesday, when system updates were done prior to shutting down, Bluetooth had worked perfectly fine, but since these 'updates' I can only send documents, etc. from my Z580 to my BlackBerry 9790, but I can't send from the BlackBerry to the notebook?Devices have been paired, sharing is On and Bluetooth is On in Wireless Devices. Please advise... Many thanks in advance. Best regardsDuane

Answer:Bluetooth issues with IdeaPad Z580

hi Duanet,

Can you create a system restore point and try the following:
1. Uninstall the Bluetooth Software from the Control Panel > Programs and reboot
2. Verify under Device Manager that the bluetooth device is using the generic driver then pair both devices and observe if you can now send files from PC-to-Phone and vice versa.

3. If same problem, reinstall the original bluetooth driver from D:\Drivers\Bluetooth or from the lenovo website

Hi, I just purchased a brand new, in-the-box Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 laptop. It was advertised as having built-in Bluetooth technology. I just received the computer in the mail today. When I took the computer out of the box and booted it, I noticed that there was no icon for Bluetooth anywhere. I downloaded a driver off Lenovo's website and tried to install it, but the driver crashed in mid-installation. Some websites suggest checking the BIOS and enabling/disabling (and re-enabling) Bluetooth under the settings, but when I go to the settings, there is no Bluetooth device listed. Lenovo website says that to edit Bluetooth settings, you must press Fn/F5 simultaneously. When I do this, all that comes up is a screen with settings for my Wireless Network Card. There is supposed to be both Bluetooth and Wireless there. Other people have said they have experienced this situation as well, but nobody seems to have a solution online. I am using the packaged OS (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit). Device Manager does not list any Bluetooth device, from what I can see. What gives? It's a brand new machine.

Answer:Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 Bluetooth Problem

There should be an BT enable/disable option in your bios, but as you have said you cannot find one, the box that you Z580 came in has the specifications on a white label on the  side, mine says BT 2.1 even though it`s BT 4.0 , you might not have BT have a look. EDIT : I had to remove the cover off the bottom of my Z580 to check the wifi card model  i had, it`s only 1 screw, take a photo and post it here, you will not invalidate your warranty as long as you dont damage anything. EDIT 2: the link below is a photo of my wifi card in my Z580 the part circuled in red is the lenovo part number, which is listed in the service manual pdf as an Broadcom BCM4313 + BT4.0 Post what the number is on your wifi card and i should be able to tell if you have bluetooth. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e306/policeman999/wificard_zpsa5bfef89.jpg John.

Answer:Bluetooth issue with lenovo ideapad z580

hi nairajin,

Welcome to the Community.

Is there any specific error message when you're not able to transfer anymore files thru bluetooth?

To verify if the bluetooth driver is causing the issue, try to:
1. navigate to Control Panel > Programs / Programs and Features and uninstall the Bluetooth Driver and reboot.
2. Open device manager and bluetooth device should look something like this:

3. Pair the device and try to send some files again
4. If the issue is solved, try to update Bluetooth Driver and observe

Hi all. My ideapad z580 i7 8gb ram notebook's bluetooth is not functioning properly.  The bluetooth range has decreased to mere 1m. I have tried reinstalling driver, reinstalling OS ( WINDOWS 7 & WINDOWS 8.1).Also last week I got my laptop checked at the service center & they had replaced the bluetooth, still the problem is the same. The service center claims that the bluetooth range for my laptop is only that much ( as if I haven't used it before & don't know its range ). The warrany lapsed last week.

I have also tried to install ''Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II'' driver with ''README for Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II''  txt file but it doesn't let me install and give me this message: No Bluetooh device was detected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation. So, Please suggest me any solution if anybody have.

Answer:Bluetooth not working in windows 7 however it is working in window XP - Lenovo R61

Hi Vipin,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I?m sorry to hear that Bluetooth device is not working on ThinkPad R61.

To resolve the issue please right click on computer and go to manage, in device manger check if there is any yellow mark in any of the adapter in it.

If it is showing any yellow mark then not all the drivers are installed in your system.
If there is no yellow mark, then you can check with installing Lenovo power manager application and restart the system.
After restarting the system press Fn+F5 to enable the Bluetooth device.

Below is the link to enter the downloads page and download updates accordingly, please click on "Select Product" then in "QUICK PATH" enter the MTM no. select the exact model.

everything was fine until bluetooth has stopped suddenly, in usb menu in device manager there is onw device (which I belive that it is where the bluetooth connected) shows the following error:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

after some research I've concluded that my computer was not loading the device during boot, and thats right cause asus logo is talking too much time during boot, and the fans on their full speed.

Request Microsoft or Sony to solve this Bluetooth issue ASAP we cannot do without Bluetooth it is very difficult I do not understand how Microsoft developed Windows 8 without solving Bluetooth issue it is an issue with all people who upgraded
to Windows 8 worldwide did not expect this from Microsoft Thinking of rolling back to Windows 7

Answer:Bluetooth not working in windows 8

The device is listed as "Broadcom 2046 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB Dongle with First Connect", and the driver is from Broadcom, v6.3.5.430.
According to here <http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php> there is a newer driver. Maybe that one will work for you.

My problem is somewhat similar. Upgraded from Vista to 7 on my Dell Studio 1735, now bluetooth is not detecting squat! The module is in the Device Manager, the icon is in the task try, the module is on, but it doesn't find anything. Yes, I've also gone in and ticked the box that says 'allow devices to connect' - still zilch!

My phone detects my bluetooth on the laptop, so obviously it's sending a signal! I've downloaded the correct drivers, at least windows did that for me automatically. I think there is a patch for it somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it anywhere.

Someone HELP ME please, I hate using the mouse on the laptop, I want to connect my BT travel mouse!!!!

I have an HP Compaq 6710b. Bought it specifically for the bluetooth but now with Windows 10 it Doesn't work. It claims it was an Unknown Device which probably means that the Win10 update deleted the driver. I've downloaded the Win7 driver but setup fails and windows notification told me something like the installation could cause memory loss or crash the computer. I tried to install drivers manually but no luck. Can I get an updated driver? Can I buy a more modern wireless module? Thanks in advance.

Answer:Bluetooth isn't working with windows 10

Hi: Windows 10 should have automatically installed the bluetooth driver. I have the HP 6910p with the same bluetooth module, and it works just fine on W10. In the device manager, do you see a bluetooth radios icon near the top of the list? If not, when you upgraded to W10, most likely the BT was turned off by the wireless assistant. The only way you are going to get the BT to ever show up again would be to go back to W7, make sure you turn the BT radio back on, uninstall the wireless assistant, restart the PC, confirm the bluetooth is still on, and then go back to W10. There are no W8, 8.1 or W10 stadalone drivers for that BT module and you cannot add any other internal wireless or BT device other than those listed in the 6710b service manual. If you still see an unknown device in the device manager needing the driver, it isn't the bluetooth module. It is most likely the 3D driveguard device that needs the driver, and you can get that from the link below. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

Hi!

I have a bluetooth module (Broadcom 2070) installed in my laptop.
The hardware seems to be functioning fine (at least from Device Manager). However, when I go to Bluetooth Settings, all I see is this:
I'm not able to remove the Bluetooth Mouse there, and I'm also not able to detect any Bluetooth devices at all. I've even tried to use a Bluetooth dongle but to no avail. I've seen some suggested solutions to enable Bluetooth Support Services (which I have, and placed under Local Access), but this doesn't work for me as well.
And oh, I've downloaded and installed the latest WIDCOMM drivers.
Here's a screenshot of what I see in Device Manager, if helps.
Could anyone help me as I'm at my wit's end? Thank you so much in advance.

how do i solve this issue? are there bt settings that i should consider changing?

Answer:bluetooth not working in windows 7

Hello Ginmardo,

Have you tried pairing the two together so you can access your PC files from your Phone.

I have mine set that way (I use a Samsung Tocco Lite) and it is so much easier as you don't have to be at the PC to transfer but it does have to be on of course.

See if that helps.

I have never used bluetooth on my laptop in the past but decided to buy a bluetooth speaker to play music from the laptop.  When I went to pair the speaker I discovered that I do not have a bluetooth icon.  I reviewed the help forums, downloaded 3 bluetooth drivers that were shown there.  I updated the adaptor (I think I did it right).  There still is no bluetooth icon on the action center nor anywhere else that I can think to look.  Please advise.  Thank you.

Answer:Bluetooth not working on Windows 10

Hi: There is a very good chance your notebook didn't come with built in bluetooth networking. It all depends on what model wireless network adapter your notebook has. Some are combination wifi/bluetooth adapters, and some aren't. If you let me know what model wireless network adapter your notebook has, I will let you know what type wireless card it is. If you don't know the model, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

When I upgraded I lost use of the bluetooth service on my HP Pavillion DV7 notebook with
Intel Centrino Wireless-N o + WiMAX 6150 chip. The bluetooth driver was not working and identified as the Atheros driver. I went to the Intel site and downloaded and updated the latest Wimax 6150 driver for Windows 10 64 bit and
also updated the laptop chipset. The bluetooth driver was unchanged.
Upon further reading on the Intel site, I read that when the Wimax 6150 is using Windows 7, the bluetooth driver is Atheros, but when using Windows 8.1, or 10, it requires a Wimax 6150 bluetooth driver. Fair enough, except that Intel
does not offer this particular driver!
I tried first to update the Atheros driver, but it said it was the latest one, and up to date. I then deleted the Atheros driver hoping that its replacement would be installed with the Wimax 6150 update, but nothing happened. Now,
in Device Manager, I no longer have a line for bluetooth since I deleted the Atheros driver. Can someone point me to a site that has a Wimax 6150 bluetooth driver for Windows 10- I'd like to use my bluetooth service on this laptop!

I bought this computer about a year and a half ago. Specs are as follows

Asus M51BC

Windows 8 (upgraded to 8.1)

8 GB RAM

AMD FX 8300 processor

GTX 650 (upgraded to GTX 760)

1 TB HDD (added 128 GB SSD and 256 SSD)

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 as soon as I turned it on so I didn't get a chance to see if bluetooth was working with Windows 8. I tried to pair my phone but it didn't work. I looked all over the internet but nothing worked. One thing I did notice was that Windows 8.1 had quite a few problems with bluetooth. So after a week of trying to get it to work I gave up. Just got a Razor Orochi which is a bluetooth mouse so I started looking around for answers again. Tried MANY new things but still no answers so I went and bought a StarTech USB to Bluetooth version 4.0 adapter - 10m class 2. Broadcom makes this and tried theirs and StarTech's drivers. Both don't make a difference even after uninstalling/re-installing, and disabling/enabling. I've also tried creating a different user, re-installing from the recovery drive and a clean install, and way too many other things to list here. If anybody has any advice or tips other than "did you try un plugging it?" I'd be really grateful!!!!

Answer:Bluetooth toggle missing, onboard AND aftermarket bluetooth not working!!!!!

Hey thanks for the reply but I ended up solving it. Ya I had razor synapse installed and there was fully charged batteries in the mouse. I did yet another clean install but this time I completely deleted the system (efi) recovery partition. I had deleted the factory reset partitions when I switched to the ssd but was nervous about deleting that one. That's the only new thing that I hadn't tried on my many attempts to get Bluetooth to work. Hope this helps someone because in all of my research I never came across an answer that worked for me

Answer:Y470 - Bluetooth not working in windows 8

Looking at the drivers page from Lenovo, Lenovo claims that Windows 8 should provide the drivers automatically with its built-in drivers. Can you try these steps which I think should work for Windows 8, On the Metro Start Screen, type "Change Device Installation settings" then follow the picture below:  Run Windows Update and on the "optional update" tab, you should see "Broadcom Bluetooth 2.1 USB" drivers. Install it through WIndows update and it should work. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone, if anyone has had the horrible task of trying to get his or her bluetooth working after upgrading to windows 8.1, then look no further.  It took me hours and hours of faffing and fist raging, but in the end, there can be only one.  Anyway...Here is your solution.....Ps! I already upgraded to Windows 10, but went back to 8.1 as it trashed my PC and cost me 3.5 half days of painstaking re-install to get my laptop to work again. IF YOU UPGRADE THIS LAPTOP TO WINDOWS 10...YOUR DOLBY V4 WILL STOP WORKING...was the start of a new nightmare for me.  MICROSOFT UPGRADE YOUR ACER WITH THEIR OWN DRIVERS WHEN YOU UPGRADE TO A NEW OPERATING SYSTEM, OFTEN THIS LEADS TO STUPID FIDDLY THINGS LIKE APPS AND APPLICATIONS NO LONGER WORKING.... SO here we go!!! SOLUTION TO BLUETOOTH NOT WORKING V3-571 ACER WIN 8.1 64-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------1) Switch off your bluetooth    .........search top right screen > Settings > Bluetooth > Toggle off!2) Right Click your windows logo on the left hand side of your screen > device manager > Bluetooth >Uninstall totally the bluetooth driver and or delete.3) Exit device manager.4) www.google. > find acer drivers > acer website.  On website to find drivers, use auto detect serial number > go to your downloads folder >open dow... Answer:WINDOWS 8.1 BLUETOOTH NOT WORKING AFTER UPDATE ON ...

I personally don't use bluetooth on my laptop (I have the same model as you) but like you reverted back to W8.1 after seven days of trying to resolve issues with Dolby Home Theatre v4 not working and my cold boot time being in excess of 3minutes! Regarding the Dolby issue not working in W10, apparently if you install the latest Realtek drivers from their official site (think current version R2.79) it solves it, and installs a new version of Dolby Home Theatre which is compatible with W10. Haven't tried it myself as I daren't go back to W10, but if anyone else stumbles upon this post it may be worth a try before giving up. Am hoping that by the end of June 2016 Microsoft and all of the manufacturers have ironed out all of the glitches. I might then give it another try.

I'm having issues with bluetooth on my Lenovo ThinkCentre m73. It's running Windows 10. the bluetooth devices worked for quite a while since I upgraded it to windows 10 but in the last month or so no bluetooth devices have worked. I noticed it first with my Bosebeat Bluetooth Headset. The Headphones work over bluetooth with every other device so I have ruled that out. I have tried troubleshooting the Windows 10 forums. But windows doesn't recognize an internal bluetooth device is present. Bluetooth drivers are not recognized in the action center or device Manager.  I tried to delete the "unknown USB Device ..." (depicted in the image below), then install the bluetooth drivers from Lenovo but have not had any success. Can any one help me out?

Hello there, I wanted to use my Microsoft blueooth mouse on my Thinkpad Edge E420s today but I have no idea how to turn bluetooth on in windows 8.1, and the E420s doesn't seem to have a driver for it. Other than that, my AMD Graphics card is not working (No E420s windows 8.1 support),  and my Audio driver is also not working, also no drivers from lenovo yet, my battery is lasting max. 2 hours without a charger, Thank's very much lenovo.

Answer:Bluetooth on windows 8.1 not working E420s

Hi e420sowner, There is no drivers for windows 8.1. I don't think there is a solution to your problem unless downgrading to windows 8. Vince.

My bluetooth dongle isn't working in Windows 7, it worked perfectly fine in vista, in which it worked fine. I can't figure out how to get it working with a driver, I never had a install cd or anything vista and xp ran it fine.
If someone can direct me to find a driver for this it would help greatly. I've tried to install the generic bluetooth driver and that didn't work either.

Please help!

Thanks!

a search for bluetooth dongles states that there are at least 50 different types from different manufactures, and probably none of them use the same driver.
tye any text that you see on the dongle here, and we can try to find the right driver.

This has been causing me a great deal of trouble over the past few months, and that's lenovo's drivers not working with my laptop on numerous occasions. The latest in this trend has been with Bluetooth, a service that has basically just disappeared from my laptop (y480 model) normally I could press FN+F5 and have the internet options pop up in win7, with the option for changing my wi fi and my bluetooth connectivity. Now however, it just toggles airplane mode. I cannot find any trace of turning on my bluetooth device on this. Bios are updated. The bluetooth drivers refuse to install because they cannot find a device on my laptop. It does not show up in the device manager either. Some help wuold be greatly appreciated.

Im trying to connect my bluetooth headset to my laptop, but the bluetooth wont work properly.

The headphones work with the laptop, I used them before. But randomly, they stopped working. Bluetooth is on, and im pretty sure im doing everything correctly.

In the PC Settings, bluetooth keeps randomly dissapearing, and reappearing. When I click pair on the headset (Vomach BH1), it says "That Didn't Work" and under it says "Try again, and make sure your bluetooth device is still discoverable", even though im not even touching it, and it is still in pairing mode, and also within a meter, which is fully within its bluetooth range. Anyone know how to fix this?

hi carlosmlr,

The bluetooth entries that you're seing under the Device Manager > Bluetooth section is normal. After successfully pairing a bluetooth device (e.g., Bluetooth Speaker) then you'll usually see an additional bluetooth.

Try to pair the bluetooth speaker to your PC and observe.

I had the 'Mediatek (Ralink) bluetooth software driver for Windows 8.1' installed earlier, which doesn't work with Windows 10. I checked with the Ralink website and the HP driver support but didn't find anything as yet.  My question is, will the driver for Windows 10 be made available soon?thanks

Hi!Prior to my departure overseas to work, bluetooth was working just fine on my Thinkpad W520. Now after arriving home and trying to use my bluetooth keyboard, I have found that bluetooth has disappeared from my system. Perhaps this occured after a Windows update sometime during the past 2 months. When I try to toggle the bluetooth radio using FN and F5, nothing happens. A message appears saying I need to install Lenovo Settings. I was not able to find any driver called "Lenovo Settings" but did find one called "ThinkPad Settings Dependency n1fsd14w.exe". This did not fix  the problem. I have check system services see if Bluetooth is running. Both "Bluetooth Service" and "Bluetooth Support Service" seem to be running.  I searched for the  TpFnF5.exe application which toggles the bluetooth function. The file should be located in  C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY\  but it is missing on my system.  I tried installing the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver called SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe, but it searched for bluetooth a long time without success. A message said "Please plug in or turn on your Bluetooth device". The installer ran without doing anything. When I tried to run "Bluetooth with Enhanced Data h0wz07ww.exe", a message appeared saying it was incompatible with Windows 10. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do next to try to get bluetooth installed. It seems that Lenovo does not have proper Windows 10 drivers fo... Read more

For a while, the Bluetooth (Intel) in my T540P would stop working, and the Device manager would say "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. Hi jbgrzy.

Try uninstalling the bluetooth device in your device manager, tick delete the driver software for this device and carry out the operation. Reboot the machine and have Windows find the native bluetooth drivers for your device. I am using the native Win10 drivers in my W540, version 17.1.1512.771 from March 19th 2015, and they are working fine.

So I proceeded to fire up another new unit with the factory loaded Windows 7 to determine it is using the Intel 7365 Wireless Bluetooth. a quick search on Intel found the file required. I also had to download the hotkey feature integration for windows 10 from Lenovo  - I'm surprised the Lenovo system update did not download that file or the BT fix. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25325/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-for-Bluetooth-Technol...

Hello,I just orderd Bluetooth in-ear headphones and tried to connect them to my Z500 using Bluetooth 4.0 as the product paper tells me. After that, I tried to connect my Android phone to my notebook, just to check if the bluetooth is working or it just don't like my headset. And neither my phone found my notebok, nor my notebook my phone. So my bluetooth n my notebook seems to not work. Are there any ideas, how to make it find devices again? Already tried to install the Windows 8.1 bluetooth driver, but the installation failed. Does anyone has an idea, how to solve my problem?

I updated my Yoga 11s (Haswell chipset with i5 processor) to Windows 10.  Windows 10 provides a newer driver for Bluetooth, but I installed the one from Lenovo's web site anyway - the one supposedly for both 8.1 and 10.  No matter what version I used (the one that was used when I installed Windows 10 or the one from Lenovo's web site), Bluetooth will not work properly on my Yoga 11s.Bluetooth does not start up enabled.  If I enabled it, once it turns on, I can no longer toggle it on and off.  I was somehow able to get my Jambox speaker and my Lumia Windows Phone paired with it shortly after installing Windows 10, but I can no longer connect the devices and I cannot remove the pairs either.  Further, if I try to pair the bluetooth Microsoft Arc Mouse the Yoga won't find it, even though it use to work under Windows 8.1.  I also cannot pair an HP bluetooth mouse I have.I have applied all updates from Microsoft so all patches, including the recent large one are all applied and running on the Yoga 11s.  I think there is a drive problem that Lenovo needs to fix.Anyone else had any luck with such devices as a Microsoft Arc Mouse?

Answer:bluetooth stop working after windows 10 update

Open up device manager and look for yellow or red indicators on listed hardware.  Also look for "unknown device" and let us know what you discover.

Usually - the problem you are having with the hardware is a lack of updated driver or Windows not having a "built in" driver for the device.  This can be fixed by installing the latest driver for the hardware that is "unkown" or updating drivers for ones that are in trouble state.

Good luck.

are you sure you put these devices in discoverable mode?
(this is really important...)
also did you update any bluetooth drivers to allow for any extra profiles that you might need...

also check if the iphone sees the computer (to make sure the computer is discoverable)
as a last resort you can try bluesoleil BlueSoleil, the most easy-to-use, innovative and interoperable Bluetooth software, Bluetooth driver and see if that fixes your situation...

Hi,I have a Nokia 2630 telephone, and I am looking to transfer some pictures between the phone and my laptop. To this end, I bought the following USB bluetooth adapter:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-Bluetooth-Adapte...3166216fff75a10When I pair my telephone with my computer, everything is fine until the very last stage when it comes to installing a driver. I am prompted to insert the CD I got with the bluetooth adapter. One problem: I did not get a CD. As the e-bay listing says, it is plug and play.I was wondering if anyone might be able to suggest where I might download a good driver from? I have heard there are issues with Windows Vista and bluetooth drivers. For the record, I have windows vista SP 1.Nick Rabbitts

Answer:Bluetooth driver not working on Windows Vista v1

This device is supposed to be plug and play.

As per the specs given on that page you linked us to.

?No drivers required for installation (plug 'n' play)
?Plug 'n' play support with Windows XP(Service Pack 2 update). And Vista.

Therefore the device should not be asking for a disk.

Since I am not totally familure with this device, the only thing I could suggest is, if it is not working properly, then maybe it needs a file from your Vista disk.

Sorry I am not much help, but since I do not know the brand name of this device, it would be hard to locate a driver web site for it.

Goodmorning everyone, I did not now wether to post this in hardware, of windows 7 or another category. please move this post or let me know if I choose wrongly.

(TSG SysInfo At the Bottom)

I am just a girl who has moderate understanding of computers, and just want to get my bluetooth working.

I had a bluetooth adapter from DealeXtreme http://dx.com/p/super-mini-bluetooth-2-0-adapter-dongle-vista-compatible-11866, yes the really cheap one, It wasn't exactly plug and play on my windows 7, but with some hard work an the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack I got it working, even with skype. However, audio quality to and from my Headphones sucked, and I believed the cheap bluetooth thing was the cause of it so:

I bought a Trust bluetooth adapter v4.0 http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=18187 to give my laptop (wich has no bluetooth build in) bluetooth and connect to my Headset http://www.philips.co.uk/c/cell-phone-accessories/over-ear-black-shb7000_00/prd/, my phone (LG-P970 with android 2.2.2) and tablet (Samsung galaxy tab 2 (10 inch).

Problem:

I can't get it to work. When I use the installation mini-DVD that came with it and do exactly as it says (offcourse i uninstalled every bluetooth fthing from before like bluetooth adapters, and toshiba stack and so on and then rebooted ) It installs only half couse the peripheral drivers keep showing the famous red cross.

What i've tried allready:
