I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Background; All im trying to do is setup either a PS4 Controller via BlueTooth, wired or my F710 Logitech controller so it works on my PC, then play it with the Zsnes Emulator for Mario World.

Problem;

Logitech F710 - Driver installed, xbox360 controller support installed, F710 Not showing in device manager. Previously, It had worked (months ago) for Dark Souls (God help me). I hear the connect sound when I plug in the USB Receiver. I've loaded up Dark Souls to see if it'd work anyway, but no success. Upod plugging in the receiver, it says bluetooth PAN is disabled, when i use multiple guides to enable PAN in network connections, it doesnt appear.

PS4 Controller - Ive tried wired and wireless. Xbox360 controller support installed, DS4 Windows installed. Doesnt show up on either Device Manager nor DS4 Windows screen. When trying for bluetooth, it does appear on my bluetooth manager but doesnt connect even when entered with the 0000 password.
Note - It is not in "other devices" or "device and printers" like other guides have suggested. Note 2 - I have tried using different USB ports, I switched it with the one my keyboard and mouse connect to. They both work fine, gaming controllers still dont detect.

What Im Asking; A little help and assistance to find out what I am doing wrong to get either 1, or preferably both, controllers working on the computer. (Would love to play Mario Kart on the zsnes with 2 controllers). I've gone through multip... Read more

Would an "SM Bus Controller" that is missing drivers cause bluetooth devices not to run? Ive had that message in the device manager ever since my upgrade to Ultimate. Tried the GPU chipset on the AMD site with no results. And even though my bluetooth devices say they install, my BT icon says "no bluetooth device connected" with three different transmitters. Ive been battling this bluetooth issue for over a month and its stressing me out! ANY help is appreciated specs are listed below.

Toshiba L775D-S7112
AMD A4-3305M APU 1.9GHZ
4GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Answer:sm bus controller/bluetooth

Hi

Yes it could as you need to install your chipset driver as that is the SMBus driver, then install any BT driver.

Any device that in Device Manager that has a yellow ! mark by it can cause issues with hardware,

Weirdly Toshiba no drivers are listed on the Toshiba site I looked at, so maybe attaching the log from the below may give us clues, unless you already have a driver CD from Toshiba to allow you to re-install these drivers.

Download the free, Speccy HERE then run Speccy and click File > Save as Text File, then attach the log as per instructions below (note: as Speccy also now lists more data it likely will have your Windows licence serial key also in the log, so look for Operating System and under that Serial Number and delete the code and Save the log)

Then attach your log to your next post as per these instructions HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post Click to expand...

I've seen ones that are simple converters, then I saw one that allows you to connect 2 ps2 controllers to this device which connects to the pc (pic here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130205810026&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX_Stores&refitem=140297471328&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget&_trksid=p284.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%252BIA%26itu%3DCR%252BIA%252BUCI%26otn%3D4%26ps%3D41)

Seems like the 2nd one does a lot more. Is there really any difference? Do you notice any problems when using a ps2 controller on a pc, as in, do all the buttons work the same?

i have tried to load drivers from the dell support site, but it wont work, maybe i am doing that wrong, or is it possible that they drivers were loaded in the wrong order?

there are two options in network connections under LAN or High speed internet, should one of these not be the wireless?

I have been using an Xbox One wireless controller with USB adaptor with Windows 10 on my laptop. This morning the operating system was updated. Now my controller doesn't connect. I am guessing the update erased the previously installed Xbox One controller driver. I have tried using a mini USB cable to connect my controller to my laptop. Nothing has worked. Please could someone explain how to update/reinstall the driver if that is the issue. I can't din anything that helps elsewhere, as the new update seems to have changed some of the settings. Thank you.

I have a Compaq Evo SSF D500 P. 4 with 1.7 mhz. I want to install a Compaq 72.8 gb 10k rpm ultra 320 scsi Hdd pn: 232431-003 model no. BD07264546 which I already own.

Need advise as to whether this hd can be connected to my 68 pin controller (adaptec 29160n) with a lvd single device ribbon cable by using converter adapter.

In another forum, tech response was in part: "I would not, under any circumstances, install a 80 PIN SCA to 68 Pin adapter. They don't work and they will likely kill your drive. Even if you did find one that did work they tend to fit loose and that too will kill your drive. "

Are converter adapters as unreliable as this and is there possibility of not only killing the driving but damaging the cpu? I know that a 68 pin adapter will restrict the speed of this scsi hard drive, but I am interested in trying it out on this old computer. Is there any particular converter more reliable than others?

So I have an Xbox One Bluetooth controller, with a Bluetooth 4.0 adapter, made by some Chinese company, I think. The issue is that occasionally my controller doesn't respond for a second or so, and that in of itself has created lag spikes in some games that freak out when the controller disconnects even momentarily (I'm looking at you, Bioshock series). Is this a Windows/controller issue, or is it more likely the BT adapter (the latter of which I'm willing to bet on)?

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Hi i recently just upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8, but i have ran into a problem which is as soon as i connect my ps3 controller to my pc it shows me the BSOD. I looked at the minidump with bluescreenview and the sys files that shows in red are pacer.sys and wdf01000.sys.
I tried to uninstall all my usb drivers, but that did not work neither. when i connect my controller to my pc it would try to install a driver but half way through it crashes as well.
I don't know if this helps or not but before upgrading to windows 8 i had motioninjoy installed on my pc.
Anyone know what the problem is? I have tried to search online but could not find anything.

Hi, all.
I have a desktop and a Compaq laptop both using Windows XP Pro SP3. I would like to connect them both using Bluetooth so I can transfer files between them. I don't care about sharing the internet connection. I hoped to buy an Ethernet crossover cable but I couldn't find any, and I've been using a USB stick to very, very slowly transfer files across.
I turned discovery on on both the PCs and used both to try and find the other to "add a device", and they do; and also turned "allow Bluetooth devices to connect" on, as well, but they are unable to connect for whatever reason. I tried using a custom key and letting it choose one for me but neither worked. As clever as Microsoft is it doesn't tell me what the actual problem is. All it says is there isn't any more information about it. I also don't want to not use a passkey.
Again I don't need to share the internet connection, merely transfer files between them. I also tried with a small test file and it saw the other PC but then chose to fail. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Just picked up an Xbox One controller with Bluetooth connectivity. I recall disabling the Bluetooth Support Service as part of some of the Windows services I would normally disable if not using them. I have re-enabled Bluetooth Support Service but the controller is still refusing to connect.

I've gone to settings/Devices/Bluetooth & other devices and clicked on add Bluetooth or other device for which it says "Couldn't connect".

I don't have any Bluetooth icon in my Action center.

I've run the Bluetooth troubleshooter for which it says "Select the repairs you want to apply" "Check Bluetooth compatibility" then with a tick box that says No Bluetooth. After clicking next it says "Bluetooth is not available on this device"

I'm at a loss, help?

Hi, I'm using a laptop with Windows 8.1 x64 and I have the Intel Wireless-N 7260 WiFi card with Bluetooth 4.0.

Last week I tried out a Bluetooth speaker of a friend, it was the BOSE Mini SoundLink. When I connected it to my laptop, the controller got installed automatically and it worked nice.

Now I have that BOSE speaker device in my Bluetooth devices, and I want to delete it from there, cause I'm not going to use it anymore. When I uninstall it, this is what happens:

I uninstall it through Device Manager. Right-click on it, uninstall. Then it disappears, but if I check for changes in hardware, it appears again. It's like I successfully uninstall it but immediately after it gets installed automatically.

I have windows 7 32 bit home premium. i plugged the receiver in, and the inserted the disk. however, the disk brought up and error, saying there was compatibility issues, so i went through trouble shooting and eventually had to download the software from the microsoft hardware site. however, when i connect my controller, i press the connect button on the controller and the receiver, and the controller begins to connect, however the 4 LEDs just keep flashing, as if it is trying to connect but can. In device manager there is an "unknown device", which i cannot update, and am assuming is it. please help.

Hello @Nisko,

I don't use any of these type of items, so I really don't have any personal experience with them.

It would probably be best to have a separate thread per specific device to have a higher chance of someone that knows more about that device be able to find the thread and help.

My Bluetooth connection to a speaker was OK but then it stopped and I have not been able to re-connect. The computer detects the speaker but pairing goes on endlessly without completing. I tried updating all the Bluetooth drivers but they were reported as the best available. I saw that the checkbox for 'Bluetooth will be allowed to find the PC' kept becoming unchecked, and that 'Bluetooth devices will see this PC' had a yellow triangle against it.I also tried connecting my Windows phone to the speaker, which worked fine, so it seems to be an issue with the PC. In Properties it is reported that  'additional installation is required' --- what is that and how is it done?

Answer:Bluetooth stopped connecting

Where are you getting these drivers from ? ?...Yellow triangle usually indicates bad/wrong driver...

I have a Sony MDR-10RBT bluetooth headset that used to work with my HP ZBook 15 G2 laptop. I'm not sure what happened, but it no longer works.I can pair the headset, and it shows up in the Devices and Printers window. However, when I double click on the headset's icon and get the window where I can click on Listen to Music or Forward VoIP Calls to Handsfree, they are both greyed out. If I look in services:Bluetooth Media Service: not started, automaticBluetooth OBEX Service: not started, automaticBluetooth Support Service: started, manual If I try starting Bluetooth Media Service, I get an Error 1053. I have updated the Intel Bluetooth Driver for 7260/3610 WLAN (American, International) to 17.1.1504.518 Rev.A29 Jun 2015. I'm not sure what that replaces, since when I look in the Device Manager, under Intel Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter, it still says 17.0.1401.422. Any suggestions of where to look next would be appreciated.

hey

I've been having a lot of problems trying to use bluetooth on this computer. I use an HP Pavillion DV6000 and I haven't been able to use bluetooth since I got it. I have a motorola v3 and i've had the same phone for awhile, with my last laptop I had no problems connecting to it and sharing files, but there seems to be a problem with this laptop, because the cellphone works fine with another devices but i just cant connect to the laptop. Under bluetooth devices whenever i click on allow this computer to be disvoreableI get an error message saying "an error occurred while Windows was saving your settings. The Bluetooth device might be unplugged. The following settings were not saved: Discoverability settings / Connection settings." I don't really know what to do, i went online looking for answers but there isn't really any.

Hello. I have located and updated Bluetooth in my Devices folder. I have turned on Bluetooth in settings. The message says, "Your PC is searching for and can be discovered by Bluetooth devices." My Bluetooth device is turned on and has been connected to my cellphone and speaker.  But I can't get my bluetooth to connect to my laptop. Any advice?

Answer:Trouble connecting bluetooth

Hi: I see that your notebook originally came with W8 from the factory, so that means that you upgraded to W10. I also see that there are no W10 bluetooth drivers for the model wireless card your notebook has on the support page. Accordingly, the only suggestion I can offer (assuming you have not done so already), would be to install the W10 bluetooth driver for the Ralink/Mediatek bluetooth radio your notebook has.... 11.0.761.0 Rev.A  Jun 18, 2015 This package contains the driver installation package for the Mediatek Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71572.exe Restart the PC after installing the above driver and then try connecting via bluetooth.

Hey all,

I have a Windows 7 32bit Enterprise.
I bought a bluetooth speaker Anker SoundCore this week, but it wonīt connect. I installed the drivers needed, but when I click on "estblish connection", nothing would happen.

I tried reinstalling the drivers, my speaker as well as the computer are both visible, all bluetooth processes start automatically.
My computer connects normally to my old phone, but when I try to connect to my new phone and to play music via itīs speaker, it wouldnīt work as well, so I guess that computer is the problem.

Can someone help me, please?

I have a a Dell Latitude E7450, running W7 Pro (64 bit). I recently bought an August EP650 bluetooth headset and tried to connect. It does not. It is recognised in 'Devices and printers' and drivers are installed and when I go to 'Sound' I can see it, but it is disconnected and nothing can make it connect.
I searched the internet for 2 days and tried various things. I understand I have to go to 'Device and printers' -> right click and select 'Service' and click on 'Listen to music' or 'Forward VoIP to Handsfree'. I click on 'Listen to music' - nothing happens. No message, just nothing. I checked 'Properties' -> 'Services' and 'Headset' is selected as a Bluetooth Service. I tried everything suggested on forums.
I went to Dell drivers and could see a new bluetooth driver issued on 01.08.17. Downloaded and installed it. The fun started then as the headset would not install correctly, I hade like 15 issues with 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'. Nothing I did installed the correct drivers for 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'.
I gave up and called Dell, but they see it as a software issue (yeah! their software!!!) and want to charge me the earth for helping me with no guarantees.
I found the restore point and rolled back to before I installed the new drivers. Device manager is now not complaining, but still nothing works.
BTW - the headset connects to my mobile no problem. So ... Read more

Finally I have the solution for this common Bluetooth problem (Not Connected / Not finding the devices). In win 7 when we on the Bluetooth adopter and we have not installed the acer driver win automatically installed the Bluetooth deivers, now after win install driver itself Bluetooth driver is shown in device manager and on status but not work, not find any Bluetooth device. Here is the solution: - On the Bluetooth and go to device manger and uninstall the drivers- After the uninstall turn off the Bluetooth and install the acer driver for Bluetooth which is match with your device- But not to on the Bluetooth before installation of the drivers- After the installation turn on the Bluetooth and you see win does no install the drivers it self because the driver is installed and device is in working condition- Search the devices and hopefully the Bluetooth not finding the device issue is resolve Thanks

Hi, I recently got this new WLAN Bluetooth Combo Adapter so that I could have the option to use bluetooth devices with my laptop. I'd connect my Sony MDR-XB950BT bluetooth headset and use it to talk to friends on Skype. When I look in my sound devices, there are normally two devices my headset connects with: "Headphones" and "Headset". The headset option is what lets me use my mic. However, now "Headset" displays as "Disconnected" and right-clicking then pressing "Connect" doesn't help. When I unpair then re-pair the device, it takes forever to download it's drivers, then I see that there is no "Headset" option in my sound devices at all! It reappears upon restart, but again as "Disconnected". Also, now when I connect my headphones, the "Headphones" option also displays as "Disconnected", but unlike the "Headset" option I am able to right-click and press connect and it will then connect. All my drivers are up-to-date and when searching for my new WLAN Bluetooth adapter I was told by an HP expert (who was a great help by the way) that this one was indeed compatible with my laptop model. It worked at first, but now I'm having these issues. There is no answer anywhere online that works for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi,
We got my Dad a Nokia Lumia 530 for Christmas.
We managed to connect it to his car via Bluetooth for a very short period of time before we started having issues.
The 2nd time we tried connecting it, the phone showed as 'Voice Control (or Voice Connected)' and didn't work. No phone book was visible on the car's dashboard.
Then, I have done a factory reset on the phone in the hope that it would work, only to find that it now says UHP Couldn't Connect, and I don't know what that means.
Any idea how I can fix these Bluetooth issues as it is a feature my Dad really needs?

Answer:Connecting the 6310i to PC Via bluetooth

I have had a similar problem connecting the bluetooth via a Compaq multiport and the 6310i. It has still not been fully resolved because I can`t synchronise my Organizer 97 with it but all other functions are OK. i.e. Copy from phone to PC. Phone Editor etc.Firstly you need the latest version of the Nokia PC suite version 4.88 - It is available from the nokia site.Secondly, I had to take my phone to a Nokia agent to have the firmware upgraded. Check with Club Nokia (You have to sign up for free membership) & then contact them to check what you currently have on the phone. They will tell you a code to tap into the phone. click hereAfter that little lot you can then start to configure the computer and phone together. Keep me posted.

hello all.

Ive been having trouble with my bluetooth connection. Whenever i attempt to double click my phone icon in the devices menu to view its bluetooth connection options, i get a message saying:

"an error occurred when initializing this operation. Try restarting your computer and/or the Bluetooth device. "

so, what i see so far:

-the phone successfully pairs with my computer
-each device can see each other

but they cannot interact.

the phone however will connect and interact with other bluetooth devices.

ive double checked many times, my drivers are all there and up to date.
(also used driver genius to check this)

also, whenever i start my computer, i always get the message: "ERROR: unable to start bluetooth stack service"

any ideas what's going on here?

thanks.

my system specs:

dell studio 1555
windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, build 7600

phone: verizon samsung intensity

Answer:need help connecting pc to phone via bluetooth

Sounds like an error with the bluetooth stack and or drivers... check Dells website for the latest versions.

I love my Sony DR-BT101 bluetooth headset. It would connect fine with my PC and worked beautifully. Unexpectedly, it suddenly stopped connecting and every time I tried to pair nothing would happen. I've been able to add the device, so the PC recognizes it. However, it won't connect with the PC and the device does not show up as an option in the playback tab in the sounds menu.

So, I tried following this link:

http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-networking/24580-make-your-bluetooth-devices-work-windows-7-a.html

Still nothing. I'm not even sure what the Mobile Device Center is meant to do as the headset is not a mobile device like a handheld. It said I should see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device' - which never was listed.

My headset is not on low battery, and has never had connection issues in the past, or even problems with playback. I haven't messed with any of the PC's services or changed anything on my adapter.

If someone could help me out that would be great, or share similar attempts to solve this problem.

I have a pair of August MS515 connected which work only intermittently and which seem to require me to restart me machine several times before they will finally work. I've uninstalled several times, basically done everything I can. The manufacturers tell me that Dell is particularly bad for supporting their equipment and that I need to install the latest (Radio) drivers to make sure that the connection works all the time. At the moment the speakers are both visibly paired and indeed reporting as connected via bluetooth but there's no sound and I can't get them to Connect when I right click on the sound icon. SO the only speakers showing as connected are the default laptop's. Any idea what I need to download and update form the Dell website? They, of course, disown me as I reuse to buy a new laptop from them and think it;s weird that I have one which is 6 years old. I've tried downloading the WLAN Radio Switch but that stops and I also can't get the DellRctlService to start or run,. Si I suppose I'm stuffed, unless someone brighter can point me in the right direction!

As always can't remember exact steps but I just let Vista install the dongle and turned bluetooth on the phone on. Clicked the bluetooth system tray icon to find devices and phone was there. Had to enter a pass key into phone that appeared on the screen when picking the phone as item to connect to? I can send files normally but i cannot receive them. When I try to receive, the connection just fails. Do you have any idea what might be the problem and how to solve it? Could it be something to do with serial ports? At the moment I am using different serial ports for sending and receiving (COM23 and COM24). How can I change the serial ports so that they would the same for sending and receiving..?
Or has it anything to do with serial ports?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit and my bluetooth device is Generic Bluetooth Radio manifactured by Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd.

I've had the same issue (at least I think its the same issue) a few months back, but this one seems to be a little more different. I had no issues with my laptop and the application, MotionJoy, for connecting my PS3 controller to my laptop in order to game until just this night. I played a new game that I have purchased (L.A. Noire) for a good few hours, absolutely no issues. I went to go eat my dinner, about 30 mins passed by. When I got back to laptop, I noticed my laptop had shut down by itself. This was clearly not normal as I never allowed my laptop to shut down, sleep, hibernate, etc. While plugged in. Immediately I knew something was wrong. I tried connection my PS3 controller again as I surprisingly saw that my game was still opened. I tried connecting my controller to my laptop with the MotionJoy app, and for some reason the app was working very funny and not as it was a few hours before I was about to play my game. Moments later, came the BSOD again, waiting for to stop dumping, a good couple minutes passed by, it wouldn't reboot, so I had to force shut down my laptop by holding down on the power button. Now here I am, ready to bawl my eyes out as I don't know a solution to this.

I ran the WhoCrashed app to get a diagnosis and this is what I got:

Hello, I have a Dell Studio 1537 running on Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit. I recently installed a fresh copy, and wireless was working fine before.
I am able to connect to Internet via ethernet cord but no luck connecting to my wireless. When I open the network & sharing center my laptop detects no devices whatsoever. When I run the diagnostic it says I need to ensure that I have the proper hardware and drivers installed. Of course I did not physically alter my laptop, so where is my wireless network adapter? I have installed all the latest Windows Vista updates, and have installed all necessary drivers from the dell website for my Studio 1537. In device manager my network controller is called Broadcom Gigabit Netlink Controller, and I have updated the driver for that as well. I have a yellow exclamation ! next to network controller. In properties it is completely unidentified regarding manufacturer, etc. I'm at a total loss on what to do next.

Hi guys!

I've been looking around Google and this seems to be the best and most accurate community for help.

I have just recently purchased a laptop, Asus N53SN-RH71 from BestBuy, refurbished just 2 weeks ago. About an hour ago, I wanted to play a video game on my laptop so I decided to connect my controller to it via the MotionJoy Application. I noticed that I was having trouble connecting specifically with Bluetooth, After about a minute on the application, the BSOD error popped up.

Yesterday I updated many things on my laptop, like the Graphics Card, Processor, even my USB 3.0 port with the updates supplied on Asus's website.

Also, about a week ago I installed a program (MagicDisc) which I was not able to uninstall, and the only way I would have got the uninstall button to work was by going to my drivers, and deleting a driver which was a part of the program. (Maybe this might have affected other drivers or system files?)

I want to supply you guys with extra info but I'm not sure what you guys need exactly, could you please tell me?

EDIT: I supplied the Dump file found in my Minidump folder.

Answer:BSOD while connecting controller via MotionJoy, error 0x0000010D

I forgot to mention that I am new when it comes to these things and don't know much about system files, so please try to make it as easy to follow as possible. :P

Passcode of device when connecting via Bluetooth,

I couldn?t figure out how to find out the Passcode of the GPS (lieca CS25with windows7)? Can this be found by windows 7?

Thank you

Answer:Passcode of device when connecting via Bluetooth,

If you read the link it mentions:Double click the device you want to connect to and wait while a connection is established. You will be presented with a passcode that you must either verify as being the same on the other device (most likely if you are connecting to another computer), or enter the code on the device you are connecting to (most likely in case you are connecting to a phone).

The directions look easy enough but I personally haven't had a chance to work with Bluetooth so I can't test this out myself.

I'm trying to connect my arctic p311 wireless bluetooth headphones to my 64 bit windows 7 laptop. I have this bluetooth usb adapter (Amazon.com: 2.0 USB Bluetooth Wireless Adapter for HP, Gateway, eMachine, Dell or ANY Laptop/PC Running Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 200, XP, Vista & WINDOWS 7!!!: Computers & Accessories) which according to one amazon review works with my exact pair of headphones. However when I put the headphones in pairing mode absolutely nothing happens on the windows side of things. Any ideas/suggestions/help would be really appreciated.

Other details:
-the bluetooth usb adapter didn't come with a disc/manual, it was all alone
-the first time I plugged it in windows installed some drivers but nothing that seemed to be related to audio
-this program (MotioninJoy | Playstation 3|Xbox 360|Dualshock 3|Sixaxis|Game|Driver|) which allows for wireless ps3 controller connectivity via bluetooth installed a driver and so I am able to use my controller, wirelessly. So I know the adapter isn't completely broken

Thanks for your time

Paired it to my laptop, it connected and worked fine. I left the laptop for about 15 minutes oly to come back to the mouse not working. I suspect it had put it self into sleep mode.
So i re-paired the mouse and i got the first BSOD.
I restarted, re connected and it worked fine.
The next day i reconnected again it was fine.. and then another BSOD.
Now whenever i connect it i get a BSOD automatically.
So i can delete the mouse, re find it, add it and BSOD
After restart if the mouse is on BSOD
if off, i turn it on, i get a BSOD.
Iv updated the drivers off the dell site. reinstalled driver, upgraded to SP2,
Last time i tried again, i managed to pair the mouse, but it didnt work.
going to the properties of the mouse, and then services the HID mouse driver was not selected, as soon as i select it i get the BSOD.
I therefore cannot use the mouse
Iv deleted all drivers (bluetooth and mouse) and restarted, iv tried updating. Iv also tried the mouse on a different laptop that is using a generic bluetooth dongle, it workes fine, and even now it can pair automatically to it and jus work, that laptop is XP SP3.

iv attached the TSF thing that i assume contains info on the BSOD.

Answer:BSOD when connecting bluetooth mouse

bthport.sys seems to be causing the most issues. Here's a link to a KB article that describes something similar: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929577

Interestingly, the debugger can't locate symbols for this driver (even though it's a Microsoft driver) - so I wonder about it's compatibility with your system.

Also noted an issue with ctclsflt.sys - a Creative video filter

I ran an analysis of the last 20 minidump files - and all of them point at the bthport.sys driver

I'd suggest checking your system for the appropriate bthport.sys driver by using the above article. If you do not have that version, then I'd suggest getting the hotfix that is mentioned.

Another possibility is that there's an issue with your USB controller. Have a look at this article to see if it may apply (even thought it's slanted towards Microsoft Devices and XP): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315973

Can you try the bluetooth dongle on the other system? This'll help to rule out problems with it.

Here's a summary of the last 20 minidumps:

I have a Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter that uses the Broadcom's WIDCOMM manager, and I've installed it in Windows 7. I have bluetooth a device with has no visual output nor alphanumeric input, so I've added it with no pairing.

I have it connected to COM3, but when I try to send/receive information I get a warning that a bluetooth device is trying to connect, and asks me for a pairing key

How can I really have the device connect to a serial port, without having to pair it every time I want to transmit data?

Answer:Connecting to a Bluetooth device through the serialport

I have an Ideapad U330 running Vista 32bit that I got back in March 2009.  Everything has worked fine until lately.  I just got a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and I tried to connect it to the U330.  The bluetooth is enabled, the drivers are up to date, but it's not seeing the mouse.  I've tried the add device tool, looked in the device manager, but there's nothing listed for the mouse. I looked for drivers for the mouse on Microsoft's website, but they don't list any. I've never connected a bluetooth device to this laptop before, so I have no frame of reference.  I'm at a total loss.

My computer is bluetooth enabled. I have been successful in connecting a few bluetooth devices to it. For example, a I have successfully connected a bluetooth mouse to it and also a bluetooth capable cell phone.

Now here is where it gets strange.

The first time that I tried to pair my new bluetooth keyboard it DID work. The first night I used it for a couple of hours.

However, the next day it would no longer work. I did not change any settings between day 1 and day 2. The computer DOES recognize that the bluetooth keyboard is there. However, it will not successfully pair. When I attempt to pair it I get a pop up message saying that it is attempting to pair, but it never goes through.

I am fairly familiar with bluetooth technology but I am not an expert. Can anyone here please offer any possible solutions? Does anybody here know of anything that I can try, test, or tweak?

Thanks,

TC

I have a new Yoga 2 Pro that I am trying to pair with an AirTurn BT -105 device.  The laptop has Windows 8.1.  It apparently can't find the device as it just keeps showing "Your PC is searching for and can be found by bluetooth devices."  I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a problem with the computer.  Thanks for any advice on troubleshooting.

Answer:Trouble connecting to bluetooth device

The only way to get stable BT (from my experience), is to use the default BT driver that comes with the comp. Windows update or manual Wifi card update could have changed the driver. Go to the D drive and reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

Hi

I have a HP nc8230 computer running Windows XP Home edition SP3.

The computer has built in Bluetooth support that works fine with my cellular phone and mouse.

I also have a Motorola H390 Bluetooth headset and I want to use it with my computer (mainly for Skype calls) .

I'm able to pair the headset with the computer but when I try to hear (or speak) I can't hear anything.

Does anyone has idea how to solve this?

Thanks

Aharon

Hello,I own a stock x220 with an i7.I would like to use the Microsoft Designer Bluetooth mouse. Apparently that mouse uses bluetooth 4.0, which my laptop does not have (2.1 i believe but i am not sure and don't know how to check either). Will I be able to connect and use that mouse? Thank you

Answer:X220: connecting a bluetooth 4.0 mouse

Hello,
According to the X220's hardware maintenance manual, the ThinkPad X220 contains a Bluetooth Daughter Card BDC-2.1, with FRU# (part#) of 60Y3271 or 60Y3275.  Searching on those FRU numbers reveals this page on the independent ThinkWiki site which says those cards are Bluetooth 3.0.  It also mentions that the part is likely to be swappable with a new Bluetooth 4.0 BDC card.

From looking at the details [age for the Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Mouse, it mentions Bluetooth Smart/Bluetooth 4.0 compatibility and specifically says "Bluetooth 4. enabled devices" in the System Requirements.

It is still possible that the mouse will work with the older Bluetooth 3.0 card, but just consume more power.  Or, you may need to replace the Bluetooth Daughter Card inside the X220 or use an external Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter with it.  It would probably be best to check with Microsoft for an authoritative answer.
