Bluetooth connection problem -- Intel Bluetooth Wireless (R) 4.0

Question: Bluetooth connection problem -- Intel Bluetooth Wireless (R) 4.0

My keyboard won't stay connected to the Bluetooth. Windows disabled the Bluetooth and gave this messge: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." What is this and how do I fix it? I can't get my Logitech K810 keybaord to stay connected. It pairs, and works for awhile, then disconnests, even though it says it is connected. Driver update says the drivers in place are the right ones. I've also tried Bluetooth dongles to connect with, but I get the same problem -- connects for a while and then disconnects.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.

My bluetooth functionality and even the icon disappeaered from my laptop.  The HP Service Assistant tried to do a network diagnostic and couldn't find a problem.  It said to go to the HP support site and load latest Bluetooth drivers.  The only drivers shown were for a Broadcom Bluetooth.  Not thinking I had a different Bluetoth system I downloaded and installed the Broadcom drivers.  Then I went to the device manager and saw that I did not have a Broadcom system, but an Intel system. (I should have done this earlier I know).  The device manager showed that the drivers were probably corrupted and it couldn't validate the digital signature for the drivers that were there. (Code 52) I revisited the device manager and looked at the properties tab of the drivers and the events tab under that.  It said there that Device USB/VID-8087&PID etc. needed further installation. Now I am confused and frustrated.  I don't want to try to instal this device if it is not the correct Intel device, but rather the Broadcom device. In other words, I don't want to screw things up even more. Can someone please tell me what to do?

I've done everything but stand on my head and I cannot get the P50 and the Sony to see each other to pair. I use the headset everday at the gym with an iPod Nano with no problem. With the P50 I've tried "add a bluetooth device' and 'show bluetooth devices'. In neither instance does the Sony appear. Suggestion? Mark

Hi all
I am using a Lenovo X1, 129126U for over a month now I am having problems connecting the a4tech bt310 bluetooth mouse to the machine, previously it used to be fine but then suddenly the bluetooth components dissappeared after several attempts and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers I have been unable to detect and connect any bluetooth devices. Moreover after the last driver update the wireless connection suddenly got dropped as soon as I started the bluetooth device detection process. I uninstalled and updated the wireles drivers but still no change, changed the wifi channel to 5.2g but still no change. Initially I suspected issues with Lenovo Access Connections and had uninstalled it as well but there is still no resolution.

The problem: as soon as I start the bluetooth detection process the wireless connection is dropped and only reconnects when I switch BT device off and close the BT connection pane.

Drivers listed below
Bluetooth Broadcom drivers updated to 6.5.1.2700,
Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator driver updated to 6.1.7601.17889,
Intel centrino wireless 6205 driver updated to 15.4.1.1,
Microsoft Bluetooth Personal Area Network driver 6.1.7600.16385,
Microsoft Bluetooth Device RFCOMM Protocol 6.1.7600.16385.

Answer:Broadcom Bluetooth and Intel wireless 6205 conflict !!

Anyone out there with some suggestions????

No. Sorry. That model still has the HP BIOS whitelist which will prevent the laptop from booting if anything other than officially sanctioned wireless cards are installed. None of the approved devices is an ac type receiver. Some are combination wifi/bluetooth. Post back if you are interested in locating and installing one of them.

I just upgraded my laptop wireless adapter from "Broadcom BCM43142" to "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11 ac" upon confirmed that the new card is supported from service manual.  Both latest Intel wireless and bluetooth drivers are installed (18.33.0.2 and 18.1.1611.3223 respectively). AC connection works perfectly fine; however, the bluetooth seems to be having issue here.  For pairing and maintain active connection between bluetooth device and laptop, I have to put them right next to each other literally.  Any distance more than 10cm apart, the bluetooth device will be inactive and unusable.  I don't have such problem with Broadcom which I can perform pairing and maintain active connection even a meter apart.  Does anybody face the same issue before with Intel AC 3160 bluetooth?  Or is this a hardware issue with the card itself?

Answer:Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 bluetooth issue

Hi @cfc723, Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP Pavilion 15-p041tx Notebook and the new Wireless card you installed. The only one that was compatible in the service manual for a Intel processor was the Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi adapter.  Here is a link to the service manual. Thanks.

Hello, trying to upgrade my Thinkpad Yoga to the most recent drivers I made the unfortunate mistake running the Intel Driver Update utility on the intel website (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect) and install the most recent drivers. Now Bluetooth doesn't work anymore (it doesn't find my wireless headphones), the system gets reproducibly slower and finally hangs after a few hours, and I have 5 "unknown devices" in the Device Manager: "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter""Unknown device" (device instance path BTH\MS_BTHPAN\...)"Unknown device" (device instance path BTH\MS_BTHBRB\...)"Unknown device" (device instance path BTH\MS_BTHLE\...)"Unknown device" (device instance path BTH\MS_RFCOMM\...) This is a pain, the machine is my main development machine and it took me over a week to fully set it up. I really really really do not want to go through that again. Does anyone have any ideas how to fully remove the Intel drivers and start from scratch without reinstalling? To me it also looks like part of the MS bluetooth stack went missing - the Bluetooth adapter is correctly setup, but it appears that Windows cannot find the drivers for the Bluetooth peripheral devices. I've been throuh the Device Manager uninstall for the Wireless (it's a 7260AC) + Bluetooth drivers including "Remove drivers" checked , uninstall through "Add/remove programs", lots and lots of reboots in between, disabling/reenabling bluetooth in the BIOS, disabling the b... All of the sudden, for no obvious reason today, my mouse just stopped working. Come to find out, the Bluetooth is turned off and won't come back on. A bit of googling led me to find that hardware device is being disabled with the following message:Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) I haven't done anything, installed any new drivers, etc. so why, all of the sudden would this happen?I've tried running the repair stuff, I have even downloaded and reinstalled the latest driver from lenovo, but nothing seems to work.I've had this laptop for about 3 weeks now and had as many problems. Function keys stop working randomly (even after the bios update), dragon assist completely missing and now this...I'm beginning to think Lenovo should have done more testing before releasing this laptop... Can someone please tell me how to get the stupid bluetooth radio fixed?I can't call Lenovo even though I paid for support, they are entirely too dumb (I spent an hour just convincing the last guy that dragon assist was supposed to be part of the laptop).

Answer:Carbon x1, windows 8.1 Intel Wireless Bluetooth Stopped working

I have the same problem. After experimenting for a while there is a dirty workaround: Go to Manager -> Deinstall the bluetooth driver and search for hardware change. This will reactivate the bluetooth but this is not a solution. So a fix is needed asap.

In short, I can't uninstall Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth(R) Technology to upgrade to Windows 8 from Windows 7 (64 bit). So I probably am the source of much of my problems, but the jist of my current problem is windows uninstaller says that I cannot remove Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth(R) Technology because my Intel Wireless Adapter is not found. I do not have an Intel Wireless Adapter. I have looked through my device manager, and unless I accidentley got rid of something somehow, which is entirely possible, all I have under Network adapters is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. If I choose to show hidden devicess then a bunch of Microsoft ISATAPs come up and WAN Miniports as well as a Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface and RAS Async Network Adapter.

I tried using CCleaner to uninstall it and it seemed to work, but the Intel Bluetooth Technology was still picked up on as blocking my Windows 8 upgrade.

I really want to start running windows 8 so any solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Answer:Can't Uninstall Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software or Bluetooth(R) Tech

Hello Sava, go to following link and run the microsoft fixit program on that site and tell it to try and uninstall the intel software. I had exactly the same problem and it managed to uninstall the software (it took several minutes to do it!). I have not yet re-attempted to install Windows 8 yet because it took so long to solve all the issues with incompatible software, however I am optimistic! How to troubleshoot problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows-based computer Hope it works for you. martin armstrong, PS I now have Windows 8 installed!

Hello Community! I recently bought a Lenovo T440s with an Intel Wireless-N 7260 Wireless and Bluetooth chip. The device is amazing, everything went fluently. I updated all the drivers, the BIOS, my software and uninstalled the waste, like cloud saving services, games and so on. Everthing was perfect until i updated to Windows 8.1. Since this update, the Wireless-N 7260 won't work properly any more. The internet is not available directly from the OS startup, I have to wait several minutes. My Bluetooth mouse has abrupt failures for several minutes, works then again, but only for 10 minutes approx. I also tried every driver and ProSET-version from forum threads I read from people with similar problems. The last try was the actual version 16.7.0, but also with that version it won't work. I am pretty desperate right now, because the notebook itself is one hot ass piece, and I love to work with Windows 8.1 also. Please Lenovo, tell me what to do, or even better, release a driver that works!

Its in the bluetooth security setting, I had a look at the sony errickson I have and its a per phone setting, so if you linked to your friends phone go into the options (more options) for the phone named "your friend" and you will find a setting for "connect".. "always" or "ask each time" or similar.

I suggest reading the manual for your phone, and turn off bluetooth visibility or turn off bluetooth if your not using it, I saw a program where a guy used a portable PC to hijack bluetooth phones and earn money for a premium rate number.

Upgrading several T61s both with CPUs and WIFI cards.  Have some with bluetooth some not.  Bluetooth card is inside display screen and would prefer to leave that alone.  Was looking at replacing current b/g wifi cards with a faster one and if possible a combo wifi and bluetooth card.  Will install middleton BIOS to get around whitelist. Will be running Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 Ultimate in the T61s1.  Will the Intel Wireless-AC 7265 cards work with both wifi and bluetooth in the T61s?2.  Can I somehow disable either the existing bluetooth adapters or the bluetooth in the 7265 cards so I do not get conflicts with 2 bluetooth adapters.I am assuming I can download the drivers for the new adapters from the internet.

My computer is 1 years old. I have a ASUS with windows 8.1 and I need help to DISABLE my Wireless Connection Cards and bluetooth in the BIOS and the Wireless Network card disabled. I ran a Belarc Test for a home base job and this was sent to me in order for me to work for them. I need help ASAP! Thank you!

Answer:Wireless Connection Cards and Bluetooth

A 1 year old computer probably came with Windows 8 or 8.1 preinstalled, which means that it has the new UEFI instead of the old familiar BIOS firmware. But the concept is the same--get into the UEFI and see if it allows you to disable the wireless and/or Bluetooth. Check your ASUS documentation to see how to access the UEFI--usually a special button or a key that you press upon power on.

This problem is driving me nuts! I am trying to make a wireless Bluetooth connection with the Internet on my PC with my Palm T|X. (I know, I know, Palm is out - but, I have too much invested in the programs - plus, I love it! Also, I do not have to pay for a data plan, as with a cell phone). I had no problem setting-up the hot-sync via Bluetooth. Somewhere there must be a switch that I am missing. On the Bluetooth Settings, under the 'Share" tab; the box 'Allow Bluetooth devices to use your modem to connect to the Internet or to send a fax', is grayed.
I have tried setting-up a wireless connection, a LAN connection, and a Bluetooth connection; to no avail. I keep waiting for my PC to ask for a user and password, but, noooo. My Palm, when I try to connect, says: Error: PPP timeout (0x1231) - so something in the hand-shaking area is out of whack.
I have gone through Windows Security and my virus, etc. software and changed the appropriate settings. Nothing has worked.

Hello, I recently upgraded from a x250 to a x270 and I have a little problem with my bluetooth speaker. It's a 20K5-S28Y00 model. Its working with Windows 7 pro 64bits. The sound level is a least twice lower than it should be. I tested my speaker on others computers and it works fine. After some research I have found this topic on Intel website :https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000022410.html I followed the procedure (uninstalled the KB3172605, removed the bluetooth sofware)After reboot I installed the latest version for the 8260 found here :https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26946/Wireless-Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-7-?v=t After connnecting my speaker the sound is normal. Then I reboot (or shutdown and manually start) my computer and when I connect the speaker again, the level is twice lower again.  The only working thing is :  Go to add/delete programs menuRight-click on the Bluetooth programSelect repair (need reboot) And after the reboot it's working again. Then after reboot or shutdown and manual start. It goes wrong again. The probleme is the same with or without the KB3162605 installed. Thanks for reading all this and for your answers.

My problem:Bluetooth sets up and appears to work fine for a few minutes, then stops working.  It doesn't work until either the system is restarted or the Bluetooth adapter is disabled and then re-enabled, but in any case stops working again after a short while). When it stops working, the Bluetooth device status in device manager shows as "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. Hallo everyone.
I have problems with my recently purchased
Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter Version 2 (-->WDA2)
My Setup, i.e. Hardware:
Microsoft Windows 10 HOME - 64 Bit
Ultrabook with Haswell Plattform (Core i5-4200U)
Networkadapter:
Realtek RTL8168/8111 Gigabit-LAN (10/100/1000MBit)
Intel Wireless-AC 7260 (a/b/g/n/ac)
Bluetooth 4.0
Audio:
Intel Lynx Point-LP
High Definition Audio Controller
--> all devices have the latest drivers installed
Problem description:
When I use the WDA2 with my Ultrabook the video signal is excellent and very stabile, however the Bluetooth-Connection (-->BTC) gets totaly unusable, i.e. stuttering. I?m using a BT-mouse (MX Master) and a BT speaker (UE Megaboom), so the cursor of the mouse stutters like crazy and the audio signal is interrupting all the time.
RAM and CPU usage is very moderate, so the Ultrabooks performance does not seem to cause this problem. I guess it hast o do with some setting of the system. Interestingly I have been using the predecessor adapter (Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter Version 1) with that Ultrabook running Windows 8 home X64 and had no problems with the BTC.
Questions:
1. Does anyone have the same problem? Does the WDA2 influence the BTC?
2. Might the problem be caused by the Hardware- or the Software, i.e. wrong settings?
3. Whitch settings should I change on my Microsoft Windows 10 HOME - 64 Bit?

I am trying to create a MDT2013 build image for Windows 10 x64 for the HP Elite x2 1012 G1. Almost all drivers install OK but I have an outstanding issue with the Intel High Definition DSP and "Unknown Device". These are related to Audio and Intel Bluetooth. Manually installing SP74946 works OK for the audio but if I place the softpaq with CVA in the SSM updates folder it doe snot install automatically. For the bluetooth I cannot find a Windows 10 driver only a WIndows 8.1 (SP74472) manually running this does nothing, putting SSM does nothing. Extracting and running the setup.exe install the driver but leaves wioth yellow exclamation. For SP74946 in SSM the output shows a "Possible Update" but does not install in in "Updates Performed" Possible Updates Update 1: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D70 Conexant HD Audio Driver 2015 - Version: 10.0.877.61 Q (SP74946.CVA)SP74472 is not even listed? I have also managed to extract and create an application for the audio which kinda resolves the issue but creating an application package and using "SIlentInstall.bat" but would rather this worked in SSM

So my bluetooth adapter should be here tomorrow, and i decided to make sure it was easy enough to hook up to windows on my macbook pro running windows 7 64 bit. it sees the headset, but says ' no drivers available'.

if i reboot the macbook into OS X, bluetooth works flawlessly and I can stream audio from the computer to the headset. its windows I'm having a problem with, and afraid I will have the same problem in Windows 10, which is what I am running on my desktop.

is there a Windows driver for the LG HBS-730 headset?

I want to stream game audio from the computer to the headset. Kind of sucks having to have Arkham City on super low volume, or wearing huge clunky headphones popular with WoW back in 2008.

Answer:LG HBS-730 bluetooth connection problem

Have you tried running the bluetooth adapter on a true Windows7 machine? Apps with drivers built for Win7 don't always work properly on Mac OS in boot camp or emulation mode.

Does the bluetooth adapter spec state that it's compatible with Mac OSX as well as Win7??

There is an exclamation point on the iPhone's icon in the Devices and Printers window. I want to get photos off the iPhone via drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste. When I right-click on the icon and click Connect using >> Access Point, I get an error message saying "The connection with the Bluetooth device failed." Any ideas what to do?

My apologies if this isn't the correct thread for this post. In my opinion Bluetooth falls in the networking niche. Please move it to the appropriate thread if not. Thanks!

First off I want to thank you for any help you may provide and for this wonderfull website! This is my first post here as I am pretty tech savvy and don’t usually find myself in the position where I need to ask for help. With that being said I will get to the point of this post.

I recently bought a cell, a T-Mobile Sparq to be completely accurate, and tried to connect it to my laptop via Bluetooth. My laptop is an Asus G75VW which comes with BT capabilities. When I run the BT suite and click “Add a Device” it sits at the “Searching for a device.. Make sure your device is discoverable.” Prompt for as long as I let it without discovering my phone. I made sure my phone’s BT is active and discoverable. My next step was to go into my Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Component Services> Services (Local) to make sure BT and its dependencies where active, which they were. I updated all my related drivers and when that didn’t work I un-installed and re-installed them, to no avail. I checked my device manager to make sure there were no conflicts there and found nothing. I then spent a few hours on Google troubleshooting and was not able to find anything that I had not already tried. That’s when I decided to drop this problem onto the genius minds of the Tech-Guy forums for if they can’t so... Read more

I have a Dell studio 15 with Windows 7 and Bluetooth. I am trying to install Manhattan 2800 Bluetooth bookshelf speakers. They sometimes play but disconnect intermittently. When Bluetooth disconnects I have to completely shut down and start over. (I haven't been able to fix it with just Restart.)

Here is a clue:
In "devices and Printers" it shows the laptop as a device:
Studio 15 [properties]

Selecting: [Bluetooth L2CAP Interface] -- properties/General
"Device status
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

Selecting: [Bluetooth Hands free audio] -- properties
Driver= Broadcom Corp, 7/1/2009,6.2.0.9500
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware compatibility Publisher.

The speaker documentation indicates Bluetooth v1.2, class 2 and A2DP protocol support

The Bluetooth icon on the bar at the bottom of the desktop disappears when the connection breaks while looking at properties.

This might be related -- I also have a Kensington Bluetooth trackball mouse that has intermittent problems with connecting at start-up. When the mouse doesn't work at start-up, I can usually make it work by removing its batteries and putting them back.

Advice will be appreciated,
Stan Hilliard

Answer:Intermittant problem with new bluetooth connection

You could consider getting a USB based Bluetooth adapter exclusively for your speakers. One that supports A2DP would be perfect.

Here are a few:

Newegg.com - ASUS USB-BT211 Mini Bluetooth Dongle USB 2.0
Amazon.com: IOGEAR USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter (GBU421): Electronics

Answer:i had a problem about bluetooth connection in z400

hi Charles_xiang,

Welcome to the Forums.

Are you getting pairing issues?
 - if you are, can you provide the error

Also, try the following:
1. Enable the bluetooth by pressing the Windows logo key? +C > Change PC Settings > Wireless (left pane) and toggle Bluetooth to ON.
   - when finished, try to clear the paired devices on your phone and pair it again to the PC

2. If you have the Intel Centrino 2230 (Wi-Fi+Bluetooth) combo adapter, navigate to the Control Panel (large icon view) > Programs & Features and uninstall the Intel + WiFi bluetooth software.
   -when done, install the following:
Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 8* (install this first)
    Intel® PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth Software for Windows 8*

-after installing, repeat Step 1 and observe

Let me know your findings.

So, this is now driving me absolutely insane, and I couldn't have better chances for success (or so I think).
I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad W530 (Windows 8), and I have a Lumia 920 (Windows Phone 8). Seems pretty darn compatible, right?
Well my issue is simply "They will not connect or cooperate well"

Let me first say that through a blurry mashing of key presses and strange settings windows I have gotten the two to connect before for music control. But only twice.

The issue I have is apparently on both the phone and the computer-
When I tap connect on the phone, it stays connected for a few seconds, then disconnects.
When I try and connect on the laptop, it won't connect at all.
When I try and open the bluetooth device window, it stay open for a couple seconds and then closes.
Sometimes the music controller window appears, then disappears.

My phone doesn't appear to have anything wrong with it, I have restarted the phone completely with no effect.
The computer is under a month old with no driver issues or hardware issues, so it can't be that either.
What on earth am I doing wrong here? Why doesn't Windows (8) (and I hate saying this) have an efficient bluetooth connection service like Mac? connecting my phone to a Mac easier than easy. On windows it's nearly asking me to remove my hair strand by strand.

Thanks in advance.

I have just got an X121e and it cannot find any bluetooth devices. I have made sure the bluetooth in the laptop is on and checked the settings to enable it to be found and connected to, yet it cannot find either of the two mobiles I have tried to pair with it. Both the phones can find the laptop however, but the bluetooth connection fails. I've downloaded and installed the latest bluetooth driver from the Lenovo website. What else can I do? Is the problem the laptop, bluetooth, windows 7 or what?

Answer:X121e bluetooth connection problem

Hi

You need to install following drivers first

1. Hotkey Drivers
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014985

2. Access Connection

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-73682

After installation restart the system , Turn on the Wlan Radio Button , after windows is logged in Press Fn + F5 button to verify the Bluetooth and Wlan status .

Then Make your computer discoverable , so that it can be accessed by other devices

Hope This Helps
Cheers !!!

When using cortana on my band 2 it always comes up as turn on blue tooth or make sure its connected. I just recently decided to switch to the Microsoft platform because I could use cortana with my voice and band 2. I went through hell and back trying to convert my android info into the Microsoft eco system. I don't know why im so determined and stubborn to keep trying with Microsoft. Your products on paper seem so superior but in reality are sub par. The only reason I switched to a microsoft phone was the voice connectivity with cortana. What I found is that the band worked better with android as well as all the other apps that are cross functional. Why on earth does a Microsoft product have so many issues talking with its own brand. I think i'm returning the phone and possibly even the band, even after returning to the store 5 times and wasting so much of my time. I'm disappointed Microsoft, yet will probably still keep trying your products, why why why./

Hi I have connected the microsoft wedge mouse and a bluetooth headset to my yoga. I am having the following problems 1, Mouse - at certain times the mouse icon start flashing and moving around haphazardly - as i move the mouse the mouse icon moves very irregularly as if there is interferance between transmission of laptop and mouse - this last for a few seconds and then returns back to normal2, Bluetooth audio - whilst playing a video on youtube the mouse cuts for half to 1 sec at various points. This does not happen with laptop speakers. I tried uninstalling the bluetooth drivers as it was suggested, yet this did not solve the issue. Hope this issue can be solved Ken

Answer:Lenovo Yoga Bluetooth connection problem

I started having a similar issue when I installed the latest Wifi/BT driver.  Even after I rolled back to the older driver, something had changed. I no longer am able to use my BT Creative D100 speakers as it causes my BT mouse to act up (similar symptoms you are having; but my mouse never stabilized). In addition, my USB3 Ethernet adapter no longer automatically switches back to Wifi when I unplug it (I have to manually reconnect to my wireless router). I very much regret installing the new drivers.  Before that, my Yoga 13 was very solid/stable.

I have recently purchased a mobile phone sharp GX15. I have succesfully transfered all my contacts and some photos from my T3 (OS5.2.1) via bluetooth to the phone a couple of weeks ago. Now, when I try to send a photo or contact to the same phone it finds the phone, I tick it and send - the message "Connecting to...." appears and that's as far as it gets. Nothing else happens. I have tried it with other bluetooth phones. The same happens. I can still send photos from the phone to the palm without a problem. Can anyone help please. Neither with the Windows Bluetooth tool nor with the "Lenovo Bluetooth Lock".The Bluetooth-Device is visible in the device manager. Answer:[Solved] M900 Bluetooth connection problem

I really don't know why and how I came to this solution but it worked. When you open the case you can see on the front left side the wires for Bluetooth and Wifi. On my M900 the two wires for Main and Aux where connected in the wrong order. After inverting the order of the two cables, Wifi and Bluetooth worked without problems. In the picture you can see the correct wiring.

not sure if this is the right section to post this in.

i have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop.

my wireless card is the intel pro wireless 2200bg. I have been able to detect wireless networks but most of the time I cant connect to them, even if i am able to it disconnects me after awhile or the internet doesnt work, i have had this problem in several different locations where other computers work fine. My warranty has ran out so I'm not quite sure if anyone knows how to fix this.

my second problem is after reformatting my laptop my bluetooth device is gone. So i went on dells website to download the drivers. when i try to install it it says i need to connect it to my PC.

Answer:problem with laptop wireless and bluetooth

The Intel 2200bg is good hardware with really crappy drivers.

Try the newest drivers, certain drivers seem to work for certain people.

Another thing, go to the adapter settings in the Intel wireless ap, set the tx power to the notch just below the max. This seems to fix a lot of problems on this card. The transmit power control isn't reliable on these cards. They tend to keep dropping tx power until they lose connection.

I used a 2200bg and was initially impressed with its range, replaced it with a 2915abg for 5ghz, both of these cards still had the tx power bug. After a time, I noticed the cards just dropping speeds or losing the connection entirely.

I finally replaced my 2915 with a Winstron CM9 Atheros based mini PCI card. Never looked back. I get better receive and more transmit power than the Intel cards.

My computer is an Alienware M11x running Windows 7.

For some unknown reason I cannot connect my Logitech V470 bluetooth mouse anymore. It has connected and worked just fine before. The computer and mouse are both brand new. When I check the properties of the computer it shows an exclamation mark next to the Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Module (the bluetooth radio). When I click on it this message is displayed in the device status box "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

The problem started when I sent my computer into hibernate mode, turned it back on and McAfee security installed an update.

There is nothing wrong with the mouse.

Hey all. Well, I have an MSI Dualnet combo 802.11G/Bluetooth PCI card. I used it in my previous Nforce4 / Athlon X2 system with no problems. I haven't used it in a few months, and decided to install it in my current machine (see sig).

Well, I got it to work after it initially didn't show up (cycled pci slot assignments among x-fi, hauppage tv tuner, and the wireless card). Anyway, the problem is that with the wireless card installed, svchost.exe (1 instance of it anyway) is using close to 100% of cpu usage. If I try to go to the network connections folder, it won't open until I end process on that instance of svchost. The wireless itself is working if I use the included MSI utility though.

This is all in Win XP SP2. I didn't boot into Vista b/c I still hadn't gotten around to downloading the Ralink Vista driver (ralink makes the chipset for the wireless card).

The motherboard I'm using is an MSI P6N SLI-FI (nvidia 650sli chipset).

Another weird issue that may or may not be related to this is that my connection icon for the regular built-in LAN doesn't show the usual status info I've always seen when connected to a router --> local ip, etc. It shows my actual IP Address. The last time I tried to disable the connection, Windows went a little haywire and I had to go back to an earlier restore point.

Needless to say, I took out the wireless card and I'm kinda frustrated and I could use some help.

Hi Satellite users,

I recently had a problem getting my Toshiba Satellite P50t-B running Windows 10 to detect (and hence connect) to my Sony MDR-XB50BS Bluetooth Headphones. The symptom of the problem was that the "MDR-XB50BS" device didn't appear in the list of available devices on the Windows Activity Centre "Connect" screen, nor in the Windows Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth and other devices -> Add a device screen. Since the device never appeared, I couldn't connect to it.

The solution to the problem turned out to be upgrading my Toshiba Satellite BIOS from version 1.10 to BIOS version 1:50 available on the Drivers & Updates tab of the Toshiba Satellite Support site. The release notes mention a Bluetooth issue being corrected in version 1.40 and while I can't say for certain that this is the same issue I encountered, updating the BIOS was the last thing that I tried before the problem went away, and it's reasonable to expect that a relatively new technology like Bluetooth might have had early implementation bugs.

The other point to note is that if you've already paired the headphones with another device, like I had with my iPhone, then you have to hold the power button down for 7 seconds at power on in order to enter Bluetooth pairing mode first time you try to connect it to the Satellite.

I hope this helps someone someday!

Cheers,
Graham

Hi there,
i recently bought a Dell laptop, Inspiron N4110. They gave me a series of driver and installed those drivers on my Windows 7 Home Premium. The problem is, the first time my wireless device won't connect and keep informed me that the driver not install.
So i decide to remove all the driver, then using the device manager to search for new hardware, and let the system determine which driver is match to the hardware. Now, my wireless device can connect. But, suddenly my bluetooth device won't connect, and the system informed that the driver not install.
I tried to use the step as i did with my wireless device, but the bluetooth device still won't work.
Anyone, please help. Thank you so much.

Answer:Dell Inspiron N4110 - Bluetooth & Wireless problem

You need to go to the Dell website and install the correct drivers, you'll need to use a USB stick/drive or the wired Ethernet connection to get those drivers onto the laptop.

Here's the Dell site, use the Service Tag number off the bottom of the laptop to get the exact drivers: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?c=us&s=dhs&cs=19&l=en

My daughter (who lives in London) recently purchased Sony SRS-BTM30 Bluetooth Wireless Speakers so that she could listen to MP3 music stored on her Sony Vaio N11H laptop (with Windows XP Home pre-installed). The problem is that all music/sound from the speakers is totally unrecognisable because it is 'stuttering' or 'hacking' so much (sorry I can't explain it in better terms...). A friend informed her that the problem is probably being caused by her BT Broadband Router/LAN connection. Can any member advise whether this might be what's causing the 'stuttering' sound? If not then can anyone please advise as to what might be the cause of the problem. I thought it might be the Belkin bluetooth adapter being slightly out of range, but my daughter informed me that she has tried using the speakers within a range of a few inches up to ~10m and it still makes no difference.... PLEASE HELP

P.S. My daughter also connects to the internet using an 802.11b/g wireless connection.

The Sony Vaio N11H laptop spec (from what I can recall) is as follows:

1.8GHz Dual Core Intel Processor
1GB Memory
160GB Hard Drive
5.1 On-board Sound
Sony DVD Burner
802.11b/g
Belkin F8T012uk Bluetooth USB+EDR Adapter Class 1 V2

The Sony SRS-BTM30 Bluetooth Wireless Speakers spec is as follows:

Bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/HSP Compatible
Bluetooth Class 2 (2.5mW) Output
Bluetooth Version: 2.0
Frequency: 2.4 GHz band (2.402 GHz - 2.480 GHz)
Output Power: 6W (3W + 3W)

Answer:Solved: Stuttering Sony Bluetooth Wireless Speakers Problem

In my original post I stated that my daughter's laptop was a Sony Vaio "N11H". The model number I typed was in fact incorrect and should have been "N11S".

Sorry about that....

I have just re-formatted my laptop again after getting a virus and the laptop isn't picking up the driver for the bluetooth module 2.0.

I have the driver on the installation disk and have also tried installing it from downloads aswell, but when you start the installation up it just "hangs" there with the msg saying "Activate Bluetooth using Fn+F2 or Radio ON/OFF Switch" and has the cancel installation option there. It doesn't do anything! I've also tried to do a Google, but haven't been able to find sufficient information on this. If anyone knows any more about this problem then let me know

Thanks in advance,
Stan =)

Question: Intel bluetooth

My bluetooth mouse HP Z5000 suddenly stopped working & the blueooth settings started to flicker non-stop on my HP Envy 15 notebook - W10 64 bit. I have with difficulties tried all attemps to fix the issue by: using the troubleshooting tool, uninstalling/reinstalling the intel wireless bluetooth driver & even restoration the system to an earlier date but no success except the flickering stopped temporarily. It get starts up again while working on the issue. The issue now became: 1) the bluetooth settings is missing, 2) the intel wirless driver is having a problem & therefore will not install back &/or be fixed, 3) the intel bluetooth driveer showing a status of quote: "the device cannot start (code10)   STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE" unquote. The uninstalling/reinstalling & disablling of UBS universal devices didn't also help here. I get the same outcome/resolts as detailed above. Please can any one help?

Hello, through "Lenovo Update & Drivers" utility i installed ThinkPad update "THINKPAD Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II 6.2.1.3100" which is bluetooth solution by BROADCOM corp which has much better user interface and detailed settings than implemented Microsoft W7 bluetooth solution named "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator". The problem is that after installation of this update on my Windows 7 there is still functional this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator". I tried to disable it in "Device Manager" but after several restart of my computer nothing happened and this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator" is still active. It seems that this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator" came probably with some Windows actualization. The "THINKPAD Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II 6.2.1.3100" is installed on my computer successfuly - i can see it in Programs. And "Device Manager" says that this service also works OK. Can anybody help me to get rid off MICROSOFT/Windows7 bluetooth solution ("MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator"), please? Do you know how to COMPLETELY uninstall this?I want use on my computer original LENOVO ThinkPad bluetooth by BROADCOM. Thank you for your notes and help.Xs

Because we've had the machine for 2 years, it's very difficult to find any information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated: I confirmed that we purchased a Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO with bluetooth -- but until now, we have not ever tried to use it. [We're running Windows 7 [64-bit] on it.] There is no Bluetooth Control Panel with which to add a device [in our case, a bluetooth mouse]. The only information I can find lists using the Fn+F5 key to access a window to enable it [yet, this was for a different model]. Using these keys doesn't bring up any such window. I would suppose adding a bluetooth mouse would be much less of an ordeal than this is becoming. I must be missing something. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Answer:Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO - Enabling Bluetooth and Adding Bluetooth Devices

Hi, musesupport

If you enter the BIOS of your machine by tapping Enter at the splash screen (screen that says Lenovo while starting up), there should be a tab called Security. Open this tab and then select I/O Port Access. Is there a Bluetooth setting in this list? If so, is it set to Enabled?

If the Bluetooth is set to Enabled, then I would recommend making sure all the drivers (Bluetooth, BIOS, and chipset, in particular) are up to date. All drivers for your machine can be found here.

Good luck, and let me know how it goes
Adam

Hello, I own two Thinkpad T61 laptops - one with an integrated bluetooth card and the other without. I swapped lcd panels in order to have bluetooth capabilities on the machine I use the most (which happened to be the one that did not come with integrated bluetooth ), but after swapping out the hardware the system will not recognize the bluetooth daughter card inside the newly-installed lcd assembly.  The two models in question are 7661-E17 and 7659-CTO.  The 7661-E17 is the machine that originally did not have a bluetooth card, and which now has the lcd panel from the 7659-CTO machine.  I figured replacing the lcd panels would be much easier then opening up the lcd asembly and installing a bluetooth daughter card - was I wrong?  Everything else works perfectly in both systems, so I'm confident I didn't damage anything while replacing the parts.  What could be causing the problem?  Could it be that the 7661-E17 simply does not support the Bluetooth card in the LCD from the 7659-CTO machine?  I looked on the lenovo website but coudln't find any definite answers.. Thank you in advance for any help!  I really want the 7661-E17 machine to have integrated bluetooth capabilities!  I'm running Vista in both machines, and had no problem using the bluetooth card when it was installed in the 7659-CTO.

Answer:Bluetooth on T61 not recognized after installing lcd panel with integrated bluetooth daughter card

The bluetooth device needs to be enabled via the Fn+F5 hotkey. Then you can install the bluetooth driver. Note: The ThinkVantage Power Manager must be installed in order to use Fn+F5 hotkey.

Hi all: I recently purchased a second-hand X61 Tablet. It shipped with Windows Vista and still has about 75 days left in the warranty.I installed Windows 7 Home Premium on it, but now I cannot connect to my Nokia cellphone. With Vista, I could connect to it very easily. But in Windows7, I go to "Add a device" and it just keep searching for a device without showing my cellphone. I have done extensive googling/binging and the following are the things I have tried: - Both Bluetooth services are up and running and set to automatic- My cellphone is set to bluetooth ON and radio discoverable- My cellphone can see the computer. But cannot pair with it.- I have installed various bluetooth stacks so now the 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device" driver not found error, is not an issue. I am at a wits end with this problem. I am actually debating going back to Vista.Anyone here who can help me with my misery?

Hi all,
I am trying to change the names of the bt devices I use to connect to my lumia 1520, like my bt ear buds and car bt so it's easier to choose the bt I want to connect to, any suggestions? Running windows phone 8.1 update 1 in developer preview.

Answer:Changing the names of my bluetooth devices in the bluetooth section of my lumia 1520

Go to Settings -> Device hub (located at the bottom of the list)
Once the Hub is up and running you can pin it to the Start screen. In the Hub you can rename your BT devices as you please once you have connected them and the Hub recognises them.

Hello and, as always, thanks in advance for any help.  I've had a ThinkPad T430 23445GU for a couple of weeks now (my first) and so far am very happy with my purchase.  I'm running a clean install of Windows 7 and have most everything set up as I'd like.  My question:  does anyone know if it's possible--and if so how--to use the on board Bluetooth without installing Lenovo's 160MB "Bluetooth With Enhanced Data Rate Software"?  I'd only need the Bluetooth to run a mouse, or maybe connect a phone,  and thus see no reason for Lenovo's entire software suite.  Thanks again for any input.
