I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello all. I have a bit of a weird problem. On my lenovo thinkcentre desktop I have an internal speaker that I use at work. Well I guess it is part of the system. Anywho my internal speaker just stopped working. I was doing a system update and my power went out and...well my computer died. So I then took it to my local PC guys and they got me going again. The only weird thing is, is that when I took my computer home, my internal speaker was not working. I then tried my wife's external speakers and it is working jsut fine. Does anyone have any idea on what is happening to my computer?

Also when it is just my internal speaker, my realtek sound mngr says that there is no output sound device installed. But when the external speakers are plugged in, it works no problem, no error.

I need all of the help I can get with this one.

Thanks

JJ

Hello. My IT department recently gave me a new Lenovo ThinkCentre M58 desktop PC for work. Others and I recently noticed we could hear my computer making audio even if my cheap headphone is playing audio. I cannot seem to find a way to mute/disable this internal speaker since I never want it to play outloud. I was not expecting a desktop PC to come with its own internal speaker! Is there a way to disable/mute this internal speaker through 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise Edition? Thank you in advance.

I have an Inspiron 15-7568 that seems to beep utterly at random. It beeps anywhere between one and fifty times and no matter how many times it beeps they're spaced exactly evenly and not following any sort of pattern. This occurs both when the system is running Windows as well as when it's closed & asleep.
How can I turn off the internal speaker? The complete lack of pattern suggests to me this is not as some sort of alert/message so I'm just looking to make it shut up.

Answer:Laptop Beeps Randomly - how to disable internal system speaker?

The system seem to be experiencing some kind of hardware problem. Please carefully listen to the series of beeps. For example: 3 means 3-3-3-3...That is 3 beeps and 3 beeps and ...: Endless looping until user presses the power button to shut down the system. The delay between each beep is 300ms. The delay between each set of beeps is 3 sec, and the beep sound lasts 300ms.

hi guys
my computer hp dx2100 micro tower, internal speaker dont have a sound.
i check my sound card driver is ok, the cable between motherboard and speaker is connected. i also reinstall the sound driver, but the end the speaker in the computer didnt have sound, can someone tell me what is the problem that occur??

Answer:internal speaker dont have a sound

the case speaker doesnt rely on your sound card, all it provides is basically beeps and such. For sound from your sund card you need external speakers connected to the sound card sockets.

Have you made sure the volume slider is near the top?(click the volume icon in the system-tray at bottom-right).If that doesn't help, try re-installing the audio driver for that model from HP/Compaq website.

I have this old computer which I dont use anymore, but there is something about it that left me quite confused

It has a sound card, but the external spreakers produce no sound. Instead, the internal speaker produces all the sounds (which gives terrible quality because the case is closed, and its a crappy speaker anyways). I never changed any of the computers settings, but one day it was like that and never changed back.

Any explanations (I dont use the computer and prolly wont (it doesnt even have an OS installed (ready for trash))?

Just want to figure this one out. Its an old compaq p-i with < 128 RAM (I think its like 32MB)

Dell dimension e520 running win xp

there is no computer sound when pc shuts down and can't get
sound on external speaker.

Please help

Answer:No internal or external speaker sound

first go to control panel and check the audio option of your computer and see if the computer recognizes a sound card.

after clicking audio go ahead and check the settings. if everything is grayed out it means you don't have sound card installed, you need to check device manager and see if you have your sound card there and if see if it's installed with the correct driver.

check also if the external speakers are connected to the right audio port at the back of pc.

hope this helps!

my problem is simple: when playing music on the internal speaker the sound seems to be "adjusted" to avoid peak signals...then, for a couple of seconds the volume is eased back up to normal... this is not a problem with headphones or external speaker connected to the back-panel... i know there is a function when ripping and burning in wmp, to adjust volume across the entire cd, but this is turned off. anyway, it shouldn't affect playback. my problem has persisted since the pc was new, 3 months ago. it makes for a lousy listening experience!! no dynamic, except the sudden drops in volume caused by "the ghost in the machine"... please answer me quick! Hi, I've been searching google thin and tried numerous fixes and nothing so far has worked. I just bought an used Lenovo ideapad u410 and a week later the internal speakers suddenly stopped working. External/headphones still work flawlessly, but the internal speakers won't make a sound. So far I've tried these things:Updating drivers manually.Deleting drivers and let windows update them itself.Deleting drivers and installing the default windows drivers.Checking the internal speakers is set as standard, not muted and that the jackstick isn't stuck or jammed.Restoring the computer to factory settings.Restart audio services.I probably tried some other stuff too that I forgot. When I got the computer there was windows 10 installed, so I tried to do a clean install of windows 8.1. This made the sound come back for a few days, then it disappeared again like with windows 10. I then tried upgrading back to windows 10, didn't work. Rolled back to 8.1, didn't work. I'm considering doing a clean install of windows 7 at this point, because I'm desperate. At the momemt I got 8.1 installed and I have tried installing and deleting the drivers numerous times, with no success.Anyone got any ideas as to what I can do next besides doing a clean install of windows 7?

Answer:Lenovo u410 no sound from internal speaker

If you right click on the speaker icon in the tray and select playback devices, do your internal speakers show up there with a Green check mark, and if not, if you right click in the Playback window and select Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices. do your internal speakers show as disabled?    If so, right click on them and select enable and then set them as the default.     Also try disabling the other playback devices (unplug them too) to see if that helps. It sounds like yoiu may have already checked that, and it is not the issue, espeically since it sounds like (no pun intented) ,that you have restored the system, but it never hurts to check.  Drivers and software aside, most sound card jacks mechanically mute the internal speakers when an external jack is pugged in, so perhaps the jack itself is broken and is not switching back to the internal speakers when the headphones are unplugged.   .

hi,i have a HP  Evo n610c laptop,   while i had the headphones plugged in i accidentally dropped the laptop..  To my utter total disappointment this left me with no sound in the headphones and in the internal speakers.. decided to take the laptop apart and found that the headphone jack has been ripped right of the main board...     like i say i have no sound through the normal internal speakers... does the laptop think it still has headphones pluged in?  Is there anyway i can disable it?,   its a shame to think that little headphone jack can destroy all the sound on my laptop.  Or do you think i can bypass the head phone socket with a new wire on the main board.. the only problem is it has quite a few solder  points where the socket originally snapped off..... I met a strange issue. The sound from the internal speaker is automatically shut off when my T410s CPU temperature is high (e.g. >72 C after playing some youtube videos for a while). But the sound from the headphone works fine regardless the temperature. The sound from the internal speaker is usually back after I press the volume up/down button, but it only lasts for a short while so that I'll have to press the volume up/down button very often to get the sound continuously in high temperature. This is really annoying. So I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks. BTW: I bought my T410s (model:2901CTO) with windows 7 pro about 3 years ago. TPfancontrol was used.

For a few months now, my computer has started overheating for some reason (even though I haven't done anything unusual that could cause it). Whenever this happens, it makes this ear-shattering, shrieking, continuous "BEEEEEP" noise (internally, not from the speakers) for about 15-30 minutes. This cycles on and off about once an hour. Is there ANY way I can disable this, other than the obvious answer of stopping the overheating problem? I'm broke at the moment so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My desktop is connected to a cable modem, and every time there is any loading/activity with my cable modem, there is a ticking sound coming through my speakers.

I am running Windows 7, and I know that you can disable the modem speaker sound with dial-up modems by selecting the dial-up modem's properties and disabling its sound. But I don't know if this can be done with cable modems.

This ticking sound can only be muted if I shut off my speakers, but I don't want to do that as it would kill all sound. Please help.

Answer:How to turn off/disable/mute cable modem speaker sound?

That sounds more like "RFI" interference from the modem getting directly into the speakers. Are you connected wired or wireless? There has also been cases of the wireless causing the noise in systems.

Answer:Satellite A350 -How to mute internal speaker while plug in external speaker

> Any one know how I can mute the internal speaker while plug in the external speaker?

I assume you have an Realtek sound card and the Realtek HD audio manager should appear in the control panel.

Please check this Realtek HD audio manager.
In Speakers tab on the right you will see the options ?Analog? & ?Digital?.
Click right on one of the option and check if you could see some options which provide a setting in order to mute the speakers.

You will see also option called: Device Advantage settings.
Check this too.

PS; my notebook switches the internal speakers automatically if the headphones have been plugged in.
I read in other threads that sound driver update might help too but firstly test the settings like mentioned above.

What audio codec does your laptop use?

It will be listed in device manager. The VEN DEV combo will be enough information.

You'll find it in the device properties details tab, specifically, the "Hardware IDs" section.

It will resemble this:

Code:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0288&SUBSYS_10EC0191&REV_1000
Usually the audio codec chip itself will detect an external speaker is plugged in. Have you checked your audio device's configuration software? It should have a shortcut in the classic control panel.

Hi-
I can not get sound from my front jacks but I get sound through the internal speaker. If the rear jacks are enabled then they will work.

Device manager shows: 2 high definition audio devices (not realtek). One for the rear jacks and the other for ATPI Inernal ATPI jack. No playback device listed for the front jacks.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the devices but the front jacks wont install

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Answer:HP400 sound from internal speaker and rear jacks but not front jacks

High Definition Audio Drivers are only the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound drivers. They are not the full feature drivers that the hardware drivers provide. Check HP for a correct sound driver, if available.

ATPI (ATAPI) suggests this is an old Windows XP PC that was upgraded. There may not be any better drivers than the generic ones you have now.

Also check the front panel audio connection to the motherboard (reseat the connector).

I have a ThinkCentre A60 headset. Recently, the foam ear comforters on the headset wore off and flaked off. I used the headset without them for a while, but then I remembered I had another spare headset with cloth ear rings that I could take off and put on the A60.  So I put the foam ear comforters on the headset, and it was great for a while. I could tell that the ear rings were putting stress on the speakers, but I didn't think it would be anything bad. After about an hour, the left speaker (the one farthest from the microphone) stopped working. No sound comes out of it, at all. How do I fix this?

Hi Everybody!

All of a sudden my speaker icon is missing from taskbar & sound is only coming through the LEFT speaker. The RIGHT speaker is still working but you can only hear SOME sound and it's very low, all the rest of the sound is going to the LEFT speaker now and the volume icon on the taskbar is gone now so I can't even check the settings there. This all happened out of nowhere! Everything had been working fine for a long time before this happened. I don't understand.

Is this some kind of malware problem rewriting the codes or something? I saw this could be the problem on previous posts. I am NOT knowledgeable with computers but I learn fast if you can walk me through the steps.

I have windows 7 professional on a 32 bit system.

The option "Show or hide volume (speaker) icon on the taskbar" in the Control Panel is grayed out and I cannot change the setting on it.

I've been looking thru past threads and I'm still not finding a solution that works for me.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated!!

Thanks so much!!!

Answer:Speaker problem - No sound in one desktop speaker

When you borrowed your friends speakers, was it the same speaker, left or right, that didn't work?  If so, it must be a bad jack on your computer.  Plugs and jacks work on simple physical contact with a spring like action and sometimes they get warped.Sometimes you can push the contacts back into the right position, and sometimes you can't.  Open up your case, power off of course, plug in your speakers, and see if you can see where the plug and the jack are missing contact (not always possible).

Answer:Speaker problem - No sound from one desktop speaker

It very much sounds like a defective female jack receptacle on the "speaker/lineout" output. I assume that your results from the headset status was done from the headset/microphone jack as opposed to the "speaker" jack? If these are powered speakers you can try them in the headset output and at least determine if both speakers work. Alternatively you can also test your speakers on another computer to eliminate the possibility of a defective speaker.I don't know if your audio software provides for a left/right speaker mute if so you might check to ensure whichever side is not producing audio is NOT muted. I again assume this is a recent occurrence to something that had previously worked properly? Have you recently changed anything associated with the sound? Is your sound on-board or a standalone card?truenorth

Question: Internal speaker?

I just talked to a guy who has had his speakers swiped by his brother. I told him most pc s come with an internal speaker so he should get some sound even if it is the basic beeps. He says no way without external speakers. I don't think I have ever had a pc without a internal speaker of some kind. I have even seen softeare to play mp3s, poorly, using win 3. He says his computer is two weeks old. Am I out to lunch on this? It's driving me nuts.

Answer:Internal speaker?

The "internal speaker" on many systems these days is simply a small "piezo" beeper attached to the motherboard, not like the "real" speaker that used to be fitted to older systems.

The internal speaker is controlled at BIOS level, and is not usually available to Windows as a sound output device, just a BIOS error signalling device.

So your were in to lunch, once. But lunch has changed.

An internal speaker in my computer keeps beeping periodically (at very different rates) when I play games and only when I play games as far as I've noticed.

What causes this and how do I make it stop?

Is there no internal speaker for the 700-414? I'm moving some things around and I don't have my audio system hooked up yet. Thanks

Answer:Internal speaker

KAP1959, welcome to the forum. No, HP desktops do not have internal speakers except for the system sounds.  This is not capable of working for other sound.  If there are speakers they would be in the monitor. Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

Hello, I can't find any option in the BIOS setup that would allow me to disable the Intel AT (anti-theft) functionality... with Thinkpads there's an option where you can set it to Enabled/Disabled/Permanently Disabled, but I can't find anything similar with the ThinkCentre 83... Does anyone know how to get to this setting? Thanks!

I have a customer that has purchased some 20 M83 systems. Models 10ANS01J00 and 10AKS03G00. Is there anywhere in the support site that tells if these systems should have the speaker. Looking at the service parts list it says this is an option on some systems.

Answer:M83 optional internal speaker

Good day and welcome to the community.

You might try your machine type (10AN or 10AK) and serial numbers here:  http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/ibasepartslookup
You should get back a listing of the factory build components. It may be somewhat cryptic, so please copy the list into a reply and we can try to help further.

Hope this helps a bit.

at my school the computers are dell optiplex 360 w/ win XP all stock except for software. They produce all of their sound through the internal speaker and from what i've heard or read thus far says that thats not possible but clearly it is and im curious how it works. any help would be very apreciated Thankyou

Answer:confused by internal speaker

Older computers had a system speaker in the bottom of the case. this speaker would just beep sounds from the CMOS like the POST beep right after boot up. Many modern computers have a set of speakers that are attached to the mother board on the inside of the case so you don't have to install speakers if you don't want to. Though there is an external speaker jack.

Answer:optiplex 380 internal speaker

Hi hmnah,
Do you remember making any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue?
I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:
Method 1:
Open audio troubleshooter and check if the issue occurs follow the steps in the link below:
Open the Playing Audio troubleshooter
Method 2:
Verify if the default sound device is set correctly. Follow these steps:

Click the Start button, click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Sound.
Click the Playback tab. Make sure the correct default audio device is selected. (For most users, the default audio device is Speakers.)
If your default device isn't set to the correct audio device, on the Playback tab, select the correct device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and make sure that Default Format is set to the value that you expect. When finished, click OK.
On the Playback tab, select the playback device, click Configure, and then make sure the configurations are set correctly.
If the sound settings are set correctly, and your speakers are already set as the default device, go to "Verify that an audio driver is installed" now.
Select the audio device that you want as the default audio device, and then click Set Default.
Click OK to save your settings.

For your reference follow the steps in the following link:
Tips for fixing common sound problems
Method 3:
If the above step fails follow the steps from the link:
No sound in Windows.
Let me know the status.

Hey, I've never used dll's before in Blitz3D and I am in need of some help. How exactly can I get the internal speaker of a computer beep? I know theres a dll involved but I haven't got a clue on how to use them yet I literally a step by step guide telling me exactly how to load the dll and make a beep. Any help would be great!

P.S An example would be perfect!

Answer:Internal Speaker With Blitz3D

Do you really need a DLL to make the internal speaker beep?

In C (and so this could be different with Blitz3D) you print ASCII character 7. This results in the internal speaker doing the default beep.

I would expect a DLL for managing a soundcard given the complexity associated with that but not so much with sending the OS a basic signal and it following it...

Hi All

A couple of days ago the internal speaker on my pc stopped working for some reason. As I say in the title of this thread, I can still get sound through my headset but I would really like to restore the workings of the internal speaker.

So far I've downloaded the free DriveMax prog and checked all my drivers. There are a few out of date and one of them is for the SoundMax system that, I guess, controls the sounds - unless this is done by something else? Anyway, I downloaded and installed the newer version but then I got several message boxes come up on the reboot saying there was some sort of corruption - sorry, I can't remember what it said exactly and I can't reproduce it as I've taken the computer back using the system restore.

Can anyone help me with this please. I'm not that smart with computers as it is and even less so when it comes to drives so I'd appreciate it if someone can check the drives and possibly suggest any other checks that can be done to isolate the problem.

FYI - the pc is an hp Compaq running XPpro.

Thanks in advance.

Answer:Internal Speaker not Working

By way of an up date, I managed to download another copy of the driver that I said in my opening post had caused problems but this time there wasn't any sign of similar problems. However, neither was there any sign that its installation had cured my problem.

Sure would appreciate some suggestions.

Hello! I have had no problems with the laptop's audio/speaker until I recently connected it to a MI bluetooth speaker. When I disconnected it after using, the default internal speakers and earphone jacks cannot be detected (right-click audio icon -> playback device -> default devices cannot be found) and the audio icon in the bottom right corner is always showing a red cross. I tried connecting the bluetooth speakers again and it is working fine, but after disconnection the problem came back and I couldn't enable audio of any sort. I really need to use earphones when I'm in public and can't depend on my bluetooth speakers for everything. Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Hello,

I have Parkinson's disease so I use voice recognition software.

The problem occurs when I want to edit my dictation and I want to play back my words. It seems there is a speaker buried deep in the computer. The volume on that speaker is so low as to be almost useless.

I would like either to adjust that volume or direct the audio through my normal speakers.

I'm ignorant of computer terminology so I may have viewed the settings but not recognized them.

Your guidance will certainly be appreciated.

Thank you

Answer:Volume on internal speaker

This probably should be in the hardware forum, but here goes.

I am guessing you do not have the speakers plugged in if you are not hearing anything through them. When you plug in the speakers it will usually stop using the internal speaker. You want to plug your speakers into a like colored port on the back of the PC coming out of your sound card. It will have lots of tiny holes in it like you would plug a headset into. If it is not the same color then it will probably show you an arrow pointing out from the center.

Hi everyone,

I have a Fujitsu NH751, Windows 7. Recently, I've encountered a problem with the audio: The background music in videos are normal, but the voices are always distant. The sound never drops off, it's just steadily distant, like the voice is coming from far away. I always use earphones, so I thought that maybe it was my headphone jack that needed to be rewired.

I decided to just get a USB soundcard. However, even with a USB soundcard, the voices are still distant. I find that whether on the USB or in my laptop's jack, as long as I don't plug the earphones all the way in (about 3/4 in) it works perfectly fine.

My system sounds have always been normal, no matter whether it's plugged all the way in or not. If I don't use earphones, my sound is perfectly fine.

I've re-installed my audio drivers, but it didn't help. I also went to Realtek's Audio Manager and made sure all the enhancements were unchecked. The USB doesn't even use Realtek, and yet it gives me the same problem. I'm wondering if this is a hardware problem, can it be fixed, and how much would it cost?

Thanks for any help!

Answer:Internal speaker problem

If you are getting the same results from two audio chipsets/sound cards with the same set of headphones, I'd suspect the headphones are faulty. Test the headset in another (3rd) device. If you have the same problem, the headphones are faulty.

On my Windows 7 laptop, when I plug in my EXTERNAL speakers, the volume is OK, also when I Skype using my INTERNAL speaker, again the volume is quite adequate with my mp3 and audio files. BUT --- when I try to listen to my mp3 and audio files with the INTERNAL speaker, I can hardly hear anything, very weak volume. The volume bars are all on maximum, so what can I do? Strange that when I Skype using INTERNAL speaker, all is OK!

Answer:Volume problem when using INTERNAL speaker

What is the media player that you use to listen to MP3's? Is the volume all the way up on the media player.
Also in the system tray by the clock, you should have an icon for your sound or in Control Panel, other then the Windows Volume speaker. Here you can change volume for your internal speakers. Also, click the Windows Volume speaker and press Mixer to adjust the volume for your media player.

I'm only getting faint sound from my internal speaker despite checking that volume is set to max for both rt and left channels? At the back of my desktop running Windows XP Professional, I have two different plugs for sound and don't understand the difference (if any!) The first is colour coded green which I think, is line output because it is next to a plug colour coded pink which is line input for a microphone. The external speakers still wont work if their plug (colour orange)is inserted into either the line input or the line output. There are then two other plugs, each with a musical note symbol, one with an arrow pointing right (output?) and the other with an arrow pointing left (input?). If I plug the external speaker plug into the output hole, the internal speaker stops working but the external speaker still does not workI've looked in device manager but there does not seem to be any system conflict. ANy advice as to how to get the external speakers to work will be appreciated.

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if it's possible to make the internal PC speaker beep in Windows. I'm not talking about external speakers or headphones, I'm talking about the speaker inside a desktop computer.

What I've been told is starting Windows Vista, the beep.sys file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers is replaced with a newer version that doesn't allow beeping through the internal speaker, and all beeps go through external speakers (if connected). I've also been told that in Windows XP, with no external speakers connected, Windows XP will use the internal speaker for console.beep in VB.NET, or with any error/warning message.

A few articles online said you can replace your own beep.sys file with one from Windows XP, although this will only work on 32-bit installations. I haven't tried this yet, but I do have an installation of Windows XP available. It would be even better if someone could find a way to also do this on 64-bit installations. (Maybe use the beep.sys from Windows XP x64 Edition?)

Anyway, I want the end result to be able to use console.beep on Windows Vista or newer OS and have the sound come through the internal speaker. Any suggestions?

Answer:Solved: Internal PC speaker beep

Whatever your intention, you really don't want your program to go messing around with the Windows system files. Even if it works (and I imagine you want some sort of audible alert that can't be disabled by just turning off the sound), you'd then throw anything else that expects the beep to use the headphones or connected speakers.

As to the actual answer, you'd need to send a signal to the hardware directly and I don't know how to do that. Perhaps something here can help: http://www.vbforums.com/showthread....om-PC-Internal-Speaker-(not-from-sound-card)-!!

Hey everyone, I've had my W510 now for a couple years, and it is well out of warranty.  The speakers have started to get kinda crackly, and I was hoping to continue using this computer for a couple more years.  I was wondering if there's a way to replace the internal speakers to fix that problem?  Ideally, what options would there be on upgrading the speakers to allow for louder operation?  Thanks for your help!

Answer:Replacing internal speaker on W510

I don't know where you would get a replacement part, possibly eBay if you're lucky. However there probably won't be any better options out there for it as the W series speakers have always been very poor as they were never intended for any real use.I would play around with your driver settings and have a quick search on here as there have been situations where turning off enhancement etc have been the cause of problems etc. The problem might not be the speaker at all.

I'm writing this at home after verifying the headphones work on my computer. This problem seems to be fixable, I am hoping. Thanks.

Answer:Headphones not detected, internal speaker works

Hard to troubleshoot. As a guess, I would suspect a problem with the headphone jack or the internal wiring as many I/O jacks are on a small circuit board that is connected to the main motherboard.

Good Day guys,

I was complaining about the low audio volume in toshiba-portege-m800-107 but now after hearing the max volume of r630 I feel like its a joke.... its too low.
I increased sound to max from volume control, control panel> sound, played with 3D settings but nothing helps much. Still, while listening music in the office or while making a call from skype I am not comfortable with the level of volume.

Is it same with other R630 models shipped in other sites of the world? are you happy with the max-volume?

Answer:Satellite R630-11L - Low volume on internal speaker

Hi buddy,

I?m not owner of Satellite R630 but it?s a very small and light notebook so I assume the speakers are not the best for entertainment but I think it?s ok because it?s a notebook for office and mobile usage.

If you think the volume is not enough, you should check the sound settings of Windows and make sure that you are using the highest volume.

Alternative connect external speakers or headphone.

Dear Tech Support Guy Forums,

I am having a problem where my computer cuts out and turns off, and refuses to boot. When I attempt to boot it, the internal speaker plays a high-pitched warble.

A more descriptive account follows:

Here's what happened yesterday: The computer was on for about 7+ hours straight. I left it on while I was out at classes and such. I was playing a game and listening to some music until about 2AM. The display cut out, my computer turned off, and the internal speaker started beeping. Now, it wasn't regular, deliberate beeps with pauses or anything. It was more like a square-wave, or a warble. High pitched. I tried turning the computer off, and then back on, but every time I tried, the computer didn't even go through booting, and the warble/alarm started again. Fans reved up, screen stayed dark.

Since I was going to sleep anyway, I left the computer off, turned off the monitor and everyhing, etc.

Here's what happened today: This morning, I was absolutely groggy and had forgotten about the problem. I booted up my computer to check my e-mail, and it worked just fine. The fans were much louder than usual when they started up, but they slowed down to normal speeds and the computer ran just fine.

I started a virus scan (AVG, updated recently) and ran off to classes. The scan came up clean and the computer ran with no problems from the morning I turned it on, to about an hour ago (9 AM - 12 AM).

The computer cut out again today while... Read more

Answer:Unable to boot, internal speaker blares.

mmm. quite a problem you have there. i sound like it can be one of a few problems. such as over heating, power supply is dying or graphics card problems. have you checked that your computer is not over heating and that your PSU is not dying. on some motherboards you can find this information out by entering the cmos and looking for system information or something along those lines. you may also want to have a look at trying a different psu if you have one laying around

Hello,
I just installed an internal speaker in my Dell Precision T3500.  How do I configure a Windows 10 system to use that speaker?  The T3500 product documentation references the internal speaker but I haven't found any documentation on how to get it to work.  I assume it's a cheap business speaker, so I know the quality won't be great.  I'm just hoping for some basic sound out of it.
Thanks in advance,
Rob

I'm trying to find a way to play music through the internal speaker in windows xp. I have a sound card, etc, and regular playback works fine, but I can't find a driver/setting to route the playback to the pc speaker instead.

(my "sound card" is actually integrated into the motherboard, but the pc speaker works fine (such as with the beeps in the keyboard acessibility options)).

(background: I've hooked an LED where the internal speaker should be, so that I can see the beeps. I'd also like to be able to see when wav's (or other music) is played, but I don't want to tear apart my system and make the regular music output unusable for others)

thank you.

Answer:playing music through internal speaker in windows xp

the "windoze beep speaker" your talking about i believe can only play a few tones so it would be horrid sound if you could route it through... and most games wouldtn work with it because there are no drivers

i have a Dell Optiplex 755 that i have done a clean install of Windows 7 on.all is working OK, but i am having an audio problem.I installed the Vista audio drivers for this model from the Dell website and the audio appears to be OK (windows detects it and gives volume control).however i was expecting to hear sound from the internal speaker, but i get no sound at all.
should i be able to get sound from the internal speaker?

Answer:Dell Optiplex 755 - Windows 7 and internal speaker

You have to install the OEM sound driver so that the AUDIO ESP control panel "see's" the internal business speaker.  Once you do that everything will work the way it did before.  The OEM AD198X sound max driver is not optional.
Most of the drivers are native to windows 7 8 and 10.
Audio, Chipset and INTEL AMT SOL HECI are the exception.
%HECI_DeviceDesc%=HECI_DDI, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_29B4
The AMT AND HECI Drivers are under chipset.
Also the Newest Version of the drivers seem to Apply to All Windows AKA XP, Vista, WIN7
