Unable to find restore factor settings option in Idea B320

Question: Unable to find restore factor settings option in Idea B320

Hi, I do not see the restor windows to factory setting among the repair option. Is it not available in Lenovo B320. My idea B320 developed some problem with display and would work only in safe mode. While I suspected problem with IC or graphic card, the technician from the dealer (it was still under dealer's warranty) told me that it is a issue windows software. So, I decided to restore the system to factory settings but to my dismay, there was no such option. The closes I saw was restore system using image recovery (or something of that sort) and when I tried it, it said there is no image file available. Your guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So recently I bought a refurbed Optiplex 9020 MT in a kind of emergency situation. My other machine had been stolen, I needed a computer, it was at a store, it looked nice and the nice shop guy gave me a deal.
Sadly, the 1GB OEM card does not cut it, but this machine is very powerful otherwise. I'm running Linux on it, I've been happy so far. Honestly I didn't know PCs were becoming so propietary, I've been using macs so long. I used to build my own PCs all the time so I just never considered that this would be the reality. Anyway...
All over the internet the majority of optiplexers appear to approve of a small form factor GTX 1050ti 4gb as an ideal card upgrade, another is an MSI Pascal, which I almost went for.
Here's the problem: I ordered a Gigabyte PCI-E Windforce with a 1458MHz overclock by mistake. I think I meant to get the "Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile." This was like a tired, simple, stupid mistake. So I'm doomed right?
Question: Is there an adapter that can allow me to run a card that requires a PCI-E cable without me having to tear our the PSU? If I have to upgrade the power supply. I might as well just get a new computer. I'm hoping there's a component hack to this. There's also lots of support posts about how replacing the propietary power messes stuff up, I'm just not interested in messing with controlled substances..  It's so weird that Dell went this direction, I'm sort of in shock... Answer:My Dell Optiplex 9020 and the mistakenly ordered GTX 1050ti not-wimpy factor version -- Return it, find a solution, or try a magic third option?

You're going to need to replace the power supply to run that card -- and a dual GPU setup is not possible on that system.  You'd need a different mainboard to run a dual card setup.

Answer:Lenovo B320 Idea Centre - OKR not working

Hi richp1902,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

There is another way to launch the OKR,
Turn the Computer off, Power it back ON and start tapping F2, This should boot you into a Recovery Software and let you perform OKR

If that step did not bring you to an OKR software that means that the OKR system is busted.
You should call suppor Team and ask for a Recovery CD, Let them know that the OKR feature is not working.
You should be able to get a REcovery CD that will do the OKR for you

Try reaching support from this link
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/contactus/supportphonelist

Hope this helps
Cheers!

I have a Black screen issue on an Idea Centre B320. But unlike others on here it really is completely Black, as in no cursor, no logo, nothing! Although Windows loads in the background. Things started happening after the Win 10 upgrade, screen kept going blank, shook mouse, screen back on so thought it was a power save issue that needed adjustment. Then one day it just stayed off, every time i reboot, nothing. Can't boot in to safe mode as screen is completely blank, tried all the keyboard tricks F2 e.t.c, nothing works, i can even get the voice narrator working so can basically log in blind and the start screen loads in the background. Voice narrator informs me that all the screen icons are there so everything is working apart from the screen! One tech guy reconed it was a hardware problem and i'd need a new motherboard at a cost of £200... however, another tech guy said, 'it's a software problem relating to Win 10... so, who is right, and what can i do about it?! Please help if anyone can as it's an amazing piece of kit with a large screen, at the moment i am using a refurb Dell latitude which is absolute crap, so i want the Lenovo up and running again as soon a possible! Any ideas? Regards, Steve.

Purchased an Idea Center B320 several weeks ago. During first week suddenly was unable to boot and a "...unable to locate hard drive partition" message (or something similar) appeared. Lenovo tech support was ineffective, first having me restore original settings (and losing all my data) and then suggesting I return the computer to retailer where I purchased it. I exchanged unit for a new B320. After two weeks use, upon attempted restart, got same message and despite repeated tries, was unable to boot. I unpluged machine, replugged it in, and then was able to boot. Since then this has happened one more time (upon restart) and disconnecting then reconnecting the power supply worked again.  My questions are: 1. Any ideas for a more permenant solution?2. Anyone else had a similar problem? I am wondering if this is a widespread product defect?

Answer:Persistent Boot Problems in Several Idea Center B320's

You might want to list the complete model number as there are variations on the b320 - I have one and there has been no problems at all on the booting.  Mine is a B320 77602WU.  I'm not sure what the variations are but I've notifced quite a difference in back side jacks and arrangements. Sounds like a hard drive or connection failure but ???? Maybe one of the smarter ones has some ideas for you.

Hello,This is driving me crazy. Every few days, for no discernable reason, the BSOD appears followed by a failure to restart. The hard drive has effectively disappeared. If I look in the BIOS settings the hard drive is no longer shown, only the SATA CD drive. Powering off and on doesn't help, neither does un-plugging. Wait ten minutes and try again and everything restarts fine and will work fine for another few days. Last month in despair I completely cloned and replaced the hard drive. Unfortunately this hasn't solved the problem, although it did go away for a couple of weeks. ???? This machine is almost 5 months old and I am seriously considering calling it quits before the warrenty expires.

Answer:Idea Centre B320 Hard Drive not recognised - intermittent

hi camiano,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

Can you try to:

1. Boot into the BIOS by pressing F2 on startup, when you're in, press F9 to restore factory default and press F10 to save and exit BIOS.

2. Update your AHCI Sata Controller by installing the Intel Chipset Drivers

Intel Chipset driver
Windows 7 32bit / 64bitID2CHP12WW5.exe2.89 MB

3. Set Windows Update to never download an update for the meantime and observe the PC. (Go to start > control panel > system and security > windows update > change settings (upper left)

If the problem still occurs, there's a big possibility that the SATA port on the motherboard is bad and I recommend you contact Lenovo for service. Since you have an All-In-One desktops, they usually setup an at home service for this. Support phone list here.

Hope this helps.

I can't find anything similar by searching Settings either. Any ideas what I could do? Thanks :)

Hello,
I have bought a new latitude laptop, but it doesn't work properly. I want to recover my system and I follow Reinstall Windows 10 to the dell factory image using WinRE tutorial from dell's website. However, when I select troubleshoot there are only 2 options available: reset this pc and advanced options. I have also created a USB recovery drive after the installation of Windows.
Could you tell me the appropriate way to return back to the Dell factory image?

Answer:Restore to Factory settings option does not appear when the one key recovery button is pressed?

What you are experiencing is the OneKey Recovery program within Windows. This allows you to create a new backup and burn recovery CD/DVDs. To run the OneKey Recovery and restore to factory default, you have to shut down the computer and then press the OneKey button. This recovery feature has the recovery option.

Welcome to Windows Central.
You may try connecting your phone to your PC and use the Windows Device Recovery Tool to attempt to "revive" your phone. If that doesn't work (which it didn't with some users who encountered this problem, including myself), the only remaining solution would be to bring your phone to a service center and repaired there.

They told me that 20$ will be charged to only open the phone and pass to the OS. Now they warned me that the phone may be damaged even after it's not dead. Answer:For my At&t Nokia Lumia 520 [Unlocked], why am I unable to find a bootable option?

Do a Hard Reset with the physical buttons on the phone: Nokia Lumia 520 hard reset
This will flash the last OS version stored in memory. You loose all data, but can get your last backup restored during setup.
?NSRT isn't seeing the device because the bootloader is corrupted.

I went to bed at 2am last night and had my phone plugged in when I woke up at 7:30 then next morning my phone had a black screen and an error message saying unable to find a bootable option. I have tried to both soft and hard restart my phone and have not been able to get it to work! I need to get it working again asap! It has pictures and data saved on it for a final project i have that is due next monday that i need! Any solution or advice would be greatly appreciated

Answer:Nokia Lumia is saying error unable to find a bootable option?

Ouch. Sounds in a bad way.
?If it's not a hardware issue, you could try the Lumia Software Recovery Tool from a PC. But I fear you'll lose all data on the device that isn't backed up elsewhere.

I have a lumia 530 and just a couple of days I had a problem with the charging on the phone and got it fixed from nokia care. The phone was working fine except sometimes it would shut down by itself. However yesterday while I was on it all of a sudden the phone switched off and right after it opened by itself the nokia screen came and then a error message came that said unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shut down. Could this be a software problem or hardware and is it fixable?

Answer:Why is my phone showing error that it is unable to find a bootable option?

I would try the recovery tool. If not, you'll need to send it back again.

It is my Lumia 1320 which is playing up.
I have read the other threads asking the same/similar question, and they all seem to end in getting a new phone. Just wanted to see if there was any other advice which hasn't been suggested yet. A fast solution would be preferable; I don't really want to spend money / time on a semi-solution which may not even work.
Any tips appreciated though :)

Answer:How can I fix this error screen on boot up - unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down?

A"new" phone is not needed, (changing the motherboard is needed). So send it for repair.
Or buy a 1020 with a cracked screen and replace your good screen on the phone with the cracked screen(but good motherboard).
Or sell your 1020 screen and buy a new phone.

Updated phone to 8.1 with no issues, selected multiple apps to install from windows store and the phone "froze". Soft reset and now getting "Error unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shutdown".
How do I resolve this?

Answer:nokia 1320 error unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shutdown

Perhaps removing the SD then trying to boot?
But otherwise, sounds like a serious thing broke at that time. Contact support, these occurrences are rare.

So this is my brother's computer. He is not very tech savvy, I am moderate. We decided to restore his computer to factory settings since it had so many virus's and would randomly shut off.  I went to the computer settings and selected the option "restore to factory settings - warning this will erase user data" (something like that). We already took off the stuff we needed.  The computer started the process and after 45 min the screen went black. It was connected to a TV screen so I though that might be the issue. The next day I brought a monitor home from work and connected it. It was still black and the monitor didn't detect the computer. It had now been 24 hours so I held down the power button to get it to restart.  It tried to restart but had a "boot mgr" missing error. I hit F11 and did the system restore again. 45 min later the screen went black.  My tech friend said the factory backup was probably corrupted and to go to hp.com/support and download the recovery disk here but they have been no help. They won't talk to me or chat and I don't see his hard drive option. Someone please help. I really hope I didn't screw up his computer. Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

   Information

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD. (Windows 8 only)
Recovery Drive - Create with USB Flash Drive in Windows 8
System Repair Disc - Create in Windows 8 (Windows 8 only)

I would recommend you making the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.
or
You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the OEM manufacturer's website.

One day I pressed the ThinkVantage button on my W700 and decided to use the update my computer option. Upon completion, several of my graphic programs, photoshop, painter etc, ceased to function. I realized I needed to restore to factory settings when reinstalling the aforementioned programs didn't work. However, when I tried restoring to a previous state or if I restart / press the ThinkVantage button / Hit F11 to go into rescue and recovery the screen turns blank and displays nothing but a flashing white dash or underscore in the upper left corner. I have the recovery data on a partitioned drive which came with the system. No matter how many different ways I try it, the results are always the same, black screen and flashing underscore. Has anyone had this issue before? I blame the update for this. Is the system not communicating with the Recovery partition? I'm a bit clueless here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:Lenovo G460 unable to restore to factory settings

hi ohXD123,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

It is possible that the Recovery Parition is now Corrupted Due to the outage.

Options are
    1. What you have said, Recovery CD, you can call support and ask them how much would it cost to get a Recovery CD.

    2. You can look for an ISO online clean Installer or borrow a retail sopy of an OS system and not an OEM version like your toshiba because those will do a hardware check.
Using a Clean installer will install the OS and ask for a Product key which is located at the sticker at the bottom of the computer.

Regards
Solid Cruver

Hi There,
Hope someone can help me out?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100, model PSAANA-04E005, running Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 32 bit. I am wishing to sell but have all my programs files stuff etc which I want erased and be able to pass on with system as basic as when I purchased. From memory (bought it Jan. 2007) I was given a Toshiba Recovery disk with this being able to do it's thing if I needed it but of course is no where to be foundI.

Is there anyway I can sort this? Anything I can download etc to do this?

Thanks heaps

Answer:Satellite A100 - Can't find recovery disk to restore factory settings

Hello

If you don?t find the recovery disk anymore and you want it to restore the original settings, ask an authorized service provider. The guys can get order a new recovery disk for you.
Do you have the address of the guys?

Alternative you can also sell the notebook without recovery disks. Just wipe the HDD before selling with HDD cleaning tool like Darik?s boot and nuke or another program.

But I think you will get a better price if it comes with recovery disks ;)

Hi Forum, I would like to ask if anybody has some luck using 2 x Lenovo LS1922 18.5" (VGA) monitors to connect to the Lenovo M72e Small Form Factor.  From the back, there is (1) VGA, and (1) DVI-D Port. We have tried to use DVI-D Dual Link to VGA Adaptor and also a DVI-D Single Link To VGA Adaptor to connect the second VGA Monitor to the machine. We find this quite odd because there is no signal coming out from the DVI-D Port  when it clearly says that the Lenovo M72e Small Form Factor is capable of independed dual display. Would appreciate any advice regarding this if anybody here has some luck powering up dual displays for this desktop.

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5542G with W7 on, which I want to restore back to factory settings.
Because of a virus infection someone put another version of W7 on for me a while ago, but I am having some problems with it and wish to restore back to Acer factory settings.
I have 3 recovery discs which I created when I got the laptop, but when I try to recover I have had a message saying "fail to format disk 0 partition 2" [I think it also gave the same message for partition 1].
Something seems to have created a 'system reserved G' of 100mb. This has just appeared under 'computer' alongside local disc C.
Can anyone help please?

Hi,
This is regarding a Sony Vaio (VGNFZ140E) laptop which was pre installed with Windows Vista Home Premium. It has a 200 GB hard disk with 2 GB RAM. As I was not much comfortable with Vista, I formatted the C drive (Only the C drive was formatted, not the Recovery partition) and installed Windows XP but later found that Sound card driver for Windows XP are not available and so I though of restoring the Vista from the recovery partition in hard disk.

I restarted the computer and pressed F10 and came to a menu which has got the following four options.
1) Windows System Restore
2) Vaio Hardware Diagnostics
3) Restore C drive
4) Restore Data

I selected the third option which is to Restre C drive and a messge was displayed in the next screen saying this will

1) Format C drive
2) Restore Operatin System
3) Install Custom Programs

But when I click on the start button I am getting the following error.

"Your System drive is too small or may not exist. Select Restore Complete System to perform a complete system recovery"

Here the problem is that I couldn't find any button anywhere saying Restore Complete System.

I got a Recovery Partition which is of 7160 MB which has only 903 MB free space as follows

E: Partition1 <Recovery> [NTFS] 7160 MB (903 MB free)

C: Partition2[Unknown] 183610 MB free

j have a Thinkpad T410 . about 4 months ago i used paragon partiton manager because i wanted to create a drive with 400 Gigabyte and  i reduced drive c to 50  Gigabyte, and windows seven didnt allow me. after i did that i had trouble starting windows for 2 days and i still dont know how  i got it right.now i want to restore my laptop to its factory settings. i have drive Q and i have the files in it. but i cant make the disks. it says "unable to find files for recovery media".I did make a recovery disk before i used the paragon program but now it doesnt work either. so i want to have another one. what should i do?

Answer:Creating Recovery Disks & unable to restore my laptop to its factory settings

You are in trouble if you try to make drive C to 50G in the first place. Anyway if you still have Drive Q, there may be hope. You will need to restore your laptop to the factory settings from the thinkvantage blue button. Before you do it, backup ALL the data that you have. Then reboot the laptop and press the Thinkvantage button, go through the restoration to factory settings. After completed, you should use some cloning software like Norton Ghost or Acronis Home or even the default window 7, it has a great backup software build it. Backup and create an image of the system too. In the future, if you need to restore to factory standard, just use the cloned backup. Another obscure way is to google or search in this forum, there is a settings that can changed the backupstate of lenovo form 1 to 0 which allows you to create another set of recovery discs. I have heard of it, some says it work, some don't

I bought my laptop 2 years ago. Since then I reinstalled it once from the recovery partition and once I installed my own new clean Windows, but I've been facing problems with drivers, especially with speakers which work whenever they feel like. I decided to restore my OS to default as I did previously but I didn't have the restore utility installed. I downloaded this One Key Recovery but it doesn't see my Lenovo_Recovery partition and sais I don't have any backups. I understand that this partition wasn't created with this "new" OneKey Recovery and that's the reason why it doesn't see the partition. Where can I dowload this recovery utility I used to have originally. I can't find it and it seems like nobody else have this problem Edit: I didn't notice the Factory Restore option. When I chose this it said "The Product Recovery function has been removed from this system"

I made a System Image to an external USB drive months ago and had a system crash.
I replaced the HD's and attempted a System Image Recovery by booting up using the System Recovery Disk I made and having the external USB drive connected.
When the System Image Recovery tries to scan for backup images it can not find them. I can browse the USB drive using the DOS prompt and the system sees the image backup files.
So I did a clean install on the system and attempted recovering the system image back again.
Still could not recover.
I then did a test System Image to the USB drive successfully and then attempted to recover, system can not find the backup files, but I do see the backup files in the \WindowsImageBackup folder on the USB drive.

Answer:Backup & Restore - Unable to Find Previous System Image

Just to confirm your test image after a clean install was made successfully to an external USB HDD called say G:
In G:\ you have a folder called WindowsImageBackup

Are you using Backup & Restore from the >Recover system settings or your computer>advanced recovery methods>Use a system image you created earlier>skip backup.......etc.

This past week was looking for a Word doc which I had updated in Mar 2014. Found it in Word, clicked Open and got an error message that it couldn't be opened as it was corrupted. I clicked on Ok, which closed it, thinking I could find it again when I found something on web which explained what to do. (Never encountered this before). Went back in Word today to find it and searched but it is not there. Unfortunately, had no backup of it. I followed some threads and looked for it in Recycle Bin, Local->MS->Office-> Unsaved Files and a few other threads found on the web, but still not able to find it.

Any other ideas, would appreciate it. Or, if I need to supply any more info, let me know.
Thanks for any help.

Haven't heard anything -- doesn't anyone have a suggestion as to how to locate the file? Or, can that not be done and if so, why? Sorry, but am a relative novice and would appreciate any info.

This is what happened after I tried to restore using WDRT:
Operation ended with failure.
The software is not correctly signed or not signed for this device?
How to fix it?

Answer:How to fix "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down."?

This has been reported in the past in these forums. The only known solution is to have a service center diagnose and repair the device.

It needs assistance.
You could try flashing original o.s. via some flashing tools like Lumia Phone Test Application, but it works only sometimes.
Try first the hard reset key sequence

Answer:would like to restore my vista to factor spec

You either need a recovery disk, which you may have/should have/may still be able to create(d). If not, try pressing F8 as the computer boots & see if there's an option to 'repair my computer', otherwise you may have to get the original documentation out to see how the manufacturer says to restore the system."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." if you did the hard reset and the messaging app is missing, first check for updates for OS and updates for apps in store. If there's nothing, do a hard reset again

Hello everyone,Just got cleared hard drive and don't have any CD's that came with computer.I went to HP web site and downloaded most of the drivers but unfortunately cant get one for Ethernet card. There is also a few components installed on this computer that hasn't been recognized by Windows XP.It seems to me that I don't have any dedicated cards except Video (which i already found driver for). But I have no idea how to find out what kind of network card do i have.My guess was that since there are no dedicated cards installed - from list of available cards i decided that it has to be one integrated witch again from list of drivers would be only this oneWhich when installed doesn't work. It says that something is not found. Please help!

Answer:Can't find ethernet driver HP Compaq dc7800 Small Form Factor PC

Hi

Maybe you can find a clue in Device Manager

In XP
click START
rightclick My Computer
click properties
click the HARDWARE tab
click the button that says DEVICE MANAGER
the Device Manager window should open
in it, locate Network Adapters and click the plus sign next to it.

Are any network cards listed there?

EDIT: also note anything in the Device Manager with a question mark or exclamation mark on it.

Good morning everyone!

I have a HP Compaq dc7800p Small Form Factor PC. It originally had Vista business on it, but--for obvious reasons--I am downgrading to XP Pro. This is was supposed to be a routine wipe and install, however, I must be mislead as to which drivers are required--specifically the network driver.

I have used the following HP site to obtain my network drivers.

HP Compaq dc7800 Small Form Factor PC >> Windows XP >> Driver Network

Knowing that obviously some wouldn't work, I did try all of them out of desperation. Am I searching in the wrong place for these drivers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there .. Welcome to Seven Forums ... You seem to be in the right place .. I would try the Intel Gigabit Network Drivers for Multiple Operating Systems ... Have a look at the Link below it explains your Model

Hi, I've tried a combination of every anti-virus and malaware remover I can think of. I've use AVG and super-anti as bases either having one or the other installed, while having ad-aware and malawarebytes. I've used these combination's with my computer set in safe mode. I've also ran a few browser scanners but nothing has fixed my problem. Basically what's happening is my browser is being redirected 50% of the time, I cannot connect to windows update, and I for some reason I cannot do a factory restore (I have a dell and the ctrl-f11 is not working and I've tried many times, and yes it has worked for me before on this computer). What's weird is when I am starting up my computer to do the dell factory restore and I am about to press control f11 simultaneously ( the only way it works is if you hit them together as the blue bar is just beginning to start loading or filling up), but now the blue bar is automatically half loaded or full at the start up, which I think is why I cannot do the dell restore.Anyways I've ran tons scans on my computer but nothing has worked, so if you guys can help, that would be great. Thanks

While configuring the network adapter "Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless 802.11n" on M83P tiny machine, in Advanced tab when I selected "wireless mode"  I don't see IEEE 802.11n option in the list. I only see the below three options1 "Auto"2 "IEEE 802 b"3 "IEEE 802 b/g"

Answer:Realtek RTL8723BE : 802.11n option not available in wireless mode. any idea?

My Lenovo Laptop also has the RTL8723BE and I CANNOT connect to any networks. The WiFi card is on.,I am within range (many other devices can connect at this range 10m) but nothing is detected unless I get within 3m.I think the problem lies in software drivers possibly although I have tried more than 10 drivers for RTL8723BE.It is listed as "n" capable under device manager. But in advanced options only b/g is available.. Why can't I use 802.11b/g/n.?

When I switched on my pc today I found that the system seemed to have reverted back to when it was first installed. I have lost half my desk top icons my Email settings and addresses and various other settings. My system takes ages to boot up into my desktop (although my wife's loads quicker) and the windows tour and security menus start up automatically. I then tried to load a previous restore point and found that the restore function was turned off. when I switched it on again all my previous restore points were inaccessible. I am running XP pro and previous to now the system has worked fine. Can anyone explain what has caused this and can I restore my previous configuration?

Answer:System settings lost, unable to use system restore

your first port of call would be to always run a virus scan with the latest definitions in your anti-virus software. Further scans for Trojans and Malware would be a good move too.If the system comes up clean, report back and we will have to look elsewhere.

Hi,
Question Re: XPS 8700 with Windows 8.1.  if computer is no longer able to boot into Windows.
And Restore is not able to correct issue.
And Refresh is unable to correct issue.
But Dell Backup and Recovery indicates no issues were found and now asks to Reinstall Operating System.
is Installation Restore/Original Image Media required to complete the Reinstallation usind Dell Backup and Recovery?
Alternatively if the Reset My PC option is used is Installation media required?
Thanks.

Wouldn't it be cool if your logon password could control how you logged in. For example if you type in netgo you connect to the net when you log in (for those poor buggers like me on dial up), or quickcheck and when you log in ad-aware or spybot automatically checks your system.

Hope Bill Gates visits this forum

why?
There are various power plans in win 7 that can save batteries or increase performance. How does he "limit" his cpu to 30%

I just purchased this tablet with the keyboard 'docking station' which allows the tablet to function more like a laptop. It's brilliant for me because, while I like the games and apps and whatnot, I also write on the go quite frequently, so being able to use Docs to Go to edit and save changes to Word files is absolutely perfect for my needs. However. In testing the functionality, I've found that, while I'm using the keyboard, suggested words pop up at the bottom of the screen. I am a speed typist, and frankly, it would actually slow down my input rate to use this feature. As it is, it seems that this feature is slowing down my work in Docs to Go, sometimes even making it fail to register whole words I've entered. I tried to search the settings for a way to turn off this feature, but could not find how to deactivate it. I also looked for how to disable to trackpad on the keyboard, as touchscreen functioning still works fine and the touchpad is more of an annoyance than a help (an accidental bump while typing moves the cursor elsewhere in the document, for instance). Also, in some fields of entry, such as a Facebook status update, nearly every word entered is identified as mispelled, even simple words like "why" and "are," and the Facebook status update attempts to put every new sentence into all caps (even if I haven't touched the caps lock button). I was able to find a solution to the dictionary issue, however, it seems to require rooting, and I'm not confident that... Read more

The product is a Zonet ZEW2501 WLAN USB dongle. Before you go LetMeGoogleThatForYouing, ZonetUsa's website has been taken over by hackers/malware hosters. (see:http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://www.zonetusa.com/&hl=en).

There are a ton of "freedrivers.org"/etc sites that just list freeware and host tons of ads, but most link back to zonetusa and the links are broken or otherwise compromised. I found one hosting the old 2005 drivers, but they weren't Vista compatible.

Anyone have any help?

Answer:Any Idea where I can find a driver for this?

http://www.sitecom.com/drivers_result.php?groupid=5&productid=306&version=V1;001

That looks like it has the same chipset. Your chipset is supposedly ZD1211 (found this Googling), so drivers for devices with the same chipset should theoretically work.
