Question: Thank you Lenovo | Open Letter to Lenovo Users & Tech Support

A few weeks ago I saw the Lenovo K430 on NewEgg while shopping for a new Desktop. I was amazed by the K430?s features and great looks. However, after doing some research I became very baffled about the Power Turbo Switch and the many horror stories about upgrading the graphics card. I called Lenovo Technical Support to talk about possibilities and get advice about the graphics card, a woman answered the phone and informed me she had no idea or information about graphics card; but she recommended I speak to Sales. I was transferred to sales and they too informed me that they knew nothing about the computer or graphics card. I decided to call B&H Photo, the name sounds deceiving but they really are the best with support. The Technical Support told me if I really wanted a great computer I should think about building my own. So today, I embarked on the journey to build my own computer and I want to say thank you to Lenovo. If it wasn?t for Lenovo's extremely bad Tech Support and Sales I would not have built my own computer. Lenovo you are so terrible and clueless, you have inspired me, you have driven me by showing me your lack of knowledge and sense of awareness, the idea that a company has a sales and tech department that knows absolutely nothing about their own product. Thank you Lenovo, you are simply the worse PC maker on the Planet! Thanks to you; today I have the most powerful computer I could ever imagined. The only Tech Support Leno provides is the word Support on their website. I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, my name is Ben and i own a 2 year old Lenovo Y530 laptop with windows Vista Home Premium.Everything was working fine, when one day about a month and a half ago, i got the "blue screen of death".Better known as an error code, where your computer crashes.I then proceeded to re-install windows vista, where then it failed to install the updates, and only after a very short amount of time of actually being in the desktop of the computer, it crashed once more, giving the classic error message of it might be something new that was installed, or new hardware, when in reality i didn't install or add/remove any new equipment whatsoever.I bought this Laptop in the US 2 years ago in late 2008, and then moved to Israel. So here is the real problem, after checking the HDD for bugs, or viruses, it was fpormatted, and put back in, also following a system recovery from Lenovos one click recovery system. And found that neither the HDD, or the OS was trhe problem. So since i live in Israel, i sent it to my local Lenovo shop, where they said they do not fix these types of lenovo laptops! So how am i supposed to get to the bottom of this issue? if my local computer lenovo store does not fix my model of computer?I would like an answer ASAP because i need this computer for school and such, and the information that was lost is irrelevant, i would just like the computer to be functioning and stable again.Thank you, and much regards,Ben.

Answer:Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 Crashed, not working, no tech support, need expert/lenovo technician advice

To be covered by warranty, your laptop must have IWS (International Warranty Service). That's the only way to get covered. http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/UserFiles/IWS/20100909035858_62.htm Best regards.

Hi so one night a few weeks ago i shut my laptop after netflix and opened it the next day and none of the USB ports worked, the ethernet did not work, nor did the webcam. I sent it in since it is still under warranty, and a week later got an email charging me 489 bucks for 'water damage' well i never spilled any water on it, it just randomnly broke one night. so i called Tech supporrt today and connected to some1 from the **bleep**ing phillippines who i could hardly understand. I tried to get a number for sutherland global (who does the actual tech repairs ) in TX so i could talk to someone in america, but they dont have the number for sutherland. So after i just explained to him, 'how much to fix the mobo?' he says 340 dollars. so i told him to just send it back how it was. My questions are 1. why does lenovo's warranty literally cover nothibng? 2. is it possible to just fix the USB ports without replacing the whole Mobo? 3. could i fix it myself? 4. do any lenovo employees on here have someone i can speak to who actually speaks english and wants to help me fix my laptop?

Answer:Tell us your experience with Lenovo Tech Support.

From a rating of 1 to 10 . 10 being excellent and 1 poor. Have to give it a number 1. Standard answers they give we dont support software issues even if its rescue and recovery. As far as hardware they dont know the type of hard drive you have. You have to call sales who gives you a part number. Questions on entering the bios is not explained etc. The only thing they give you is a case number.

I bought a Lenovo Flex 3 in April when they had some sale going. Its like a slightly less impressive Yoga 3 with a bigger screen. cumbersome as a tablet, but it has the 360 degree flexibility that should be fairly future-proof when it comes to Windows 10.
It worked well for about a month and then it started blue screening. All. Of. The. Time. I am a technical person and knew some tricks to try to figure out what the issue was, but I could never figure anything out. Just that it was related to 1 or more drivers. Otherwise I wasn't sure.
I called Lenovo and explained everything that I had tried, including resetting to factory settings. They, of course, made me do it all again. That was a pain in the ****. In the end, as expected, they said I had to send it in for them to fix. I asked them if they would confirm that it was fixed before sending it back because I have had several instances of tech support sending me back broken hardware (my ps3 was send back broken twice...). They said it would be thoroughly tested.
So I sent it out. It took about 2 weeks to get back to me. I open the laptop, turn it on, set up my account, and about 20 minutes later it blue screens. I figured maybe it was just a fluke, so I didn't do anything about it. 2 days later im in blue screen hell. Cant have the thing open for 30 minutes without it restarting. I called Lenovo and they said they were undergoing maintenance so i need to call them tomorrow at 3 PM.
So yeah, now ill go another 2 weeks without t... Read more

I have been dealing with Lenovo Tech Support for months now and it has been absolutley horrible the entire time. I have never had as poor of an experience with any company ever as I have with Lenovo. My laptop had a factory issue with it that led to it not turning on at all. I sent it in to be repaired in August and no progress has been made since then. I called over two weeks ago to inquire about getting a replacement laptop sent in lieu of waiting a ridicuolous amount of time. I was lucky enough to be assigned the wonderful Michael Summey as my case manager and a quick Google search reveals that my experience that I had with him was similar to that of many others. Michael failed to do ANYTHING whatsoever. I received an email asking what laptop I'd like to receive and where I'd like it to be sent. I replied and waited 3 business days as instructed. Nothing followed. There was no confimation, no laptop was sent. Michael failed to accomplish a single thing. So I called again 10 days after the original to see about finally sending a laptop, I was then promised "a new case manager will call you TOMORROW". As anyone who has dealt with Lenovo would expect, I received no call. I called today to try and remedy this and guess what? Nothing changed. Both myself and the customer service rep spent over an hour trying to contact Mr. Summey and we received no answer. I also left a voicemail and email and received no response. The level of unprofessionalism with this entire ordeal is absol... Read more

Last night I called and spoke with Lenovo tech support because of an inoperative webcam in my newly purchased Ideapad S10. When I restored the original factory image and the camera still didn't work it was time to call them for a confirmation that the camera had failed. All in all, I was fairly impressed with the level of technical support I received. The tech didn't force me into trying too many obvious checks, other than the basic Fn-ESC to toggle the camera off and on. Then he dialed into the S10 and did a few checks himself before confirming my thought that the webcam had died. I didn't have a long wait to speak to someone. He spoke english quite well with an accent so I'm almost guessing their support might be based in the USA. Since this unit was slightly over a week old, he gave me a ticket number and suggested that I call sales to get a replacement, rather than sending it in for repair. This morning I called sales and was surprised how efficiently they handled the issue of getting a replacement. They emailed the RMA and tags for UPS to ship the defective unit back at their expense. On top of that, since they now have a 10-percent sale on the S10 on their website (call to get the discount), they arranged to credit me the difference on the other S10 (...Purchased two on that order) and sold me the replacement at the sale price. I didn't realize they had a price-protection policy ...great for those of us unlucky enough to order a week before it goes on sal... Read more

i couldn't boot to Windows. X230T had reported some kind of corruption. from the recovery partition, nothing had worked. via DOS i could see my files were intact. tech support told me there was absolutely no way to erase the drive without an optical drive, and to go ahead and restore from the recovery screen. it took a very long time, but he kept reassuring me my data was fine. now everything's gone and i'm stunned. why in the world aren't they trained better.

I just bought a B540P all in one which has HDMI in/out connections. However there is no description in user manual on how to use it. I was hoping to connect an old desktop computer to the HDMI in, and use the all in one as an LCD monitor for my old desktop. Is this doable? How? I assume with the HDMI in, I can connect it with any HDMI sources, such as a DVD player or a game machine. Can anyone help me? I called Lenovo tech support line, and got no help from them. Basically they have no idea, and told me this is the first time they heard of this question.

Answer:How to use B540P HDMI in? Lenovo tech support was not helpful

hi puffercow,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

I really sorry to hear that our supprt team has not been as helpful as we do expect better from our support centres. I'll see what I can do to address this situation to ensure the the support teams are equipped for the future.

However regards to your issues the B540 is equipped to have the HDMI to either use it as and internal or external source. What you need to to do is ensure that your desktop is connected with the HDMI cable and connect it to the HDMI-IN input on the back of the B540P. Powerup the the B540P as well as your Desktop. Once the B540P is loaded, you will then need to switch the display. (See illustration below)

If you not notice on the B540p, on the left there is a symbol with arrows circling each other. (Described in red cicle above). press that to flip the view from the B540p desktop and your connected to HDMI desktop.

hope this helps and please do post your results.

regards

Hi,My machines is a T61p 6459-CTO under warranty.Because recently choose to use Autodesk Inventor 2011, I decided to upgrade my memory from 3GB(stock option) to 4GB (bought one Kingston ValueRAM 2GB 667MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 Notebook Memory (KVR667D2SO/2GR) from Amazon.com).After the upgrade, the system will stop to responding after I playing games like Need for Speed Shift or Starcraft II for awhile. I looked up the issue online and found out:Document ID: MIGR-69684(http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-69684), it says:  SymptomSome ThinkPad T61, T61p, or R61 systems with Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M (NVIDIA NB8M-GS) or Quadro FX 570M (NVIDIA NB8P-GL) graphics and two memory DIMMs installed may intermittently report that the video adapter "has stopped responding, but has recovered", typically when doing graphics intensive processing such as a video benchmark or video game.Affected configurationsThe following systems running Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista may be affected:Thinkpad T61, T61p (type 1959, 6377, 6457, 6458, 6459, 6460, 6461, 6462, 6470, 6481, 7662, 7663, 7664, 7665, 8889, 8890, 8891, 8892, 8893, 8894, 8939)ThinkPad R61 (7742, 7743, 7744, 7751, 7753, 7754, 7755)SolutionContact the help center and reference tip MIGR-72482 to get your planar replaced.I contacted Lenovo Tech Support immediately.  However, after gave them the description of the problem and the "reference tip MIGR-72482", the guy from Leno... Answer:Lenovo Tech Support for T61p graphics problem is outrageous

As the document states; two memory DIMMs installed may intermittently report that the video adapter, and as you have previously had two DIMMs in your system, without having a problem, and the problem started after you inserted the new RAM, it's very probable that you have an incompatabilty issue between the RAM modules. Kingston actually recommend KTL-TP667/2G for your system and not that which you purchased. It would have passed the memtest because it's not faulty, but memtest doesn't test for compatability.

Does the same happen with the original 3GB originally installed back in the system? What's about when only the 2GB original Lenovo RAM or only the 2GB Kingston which you purchased?

You can put third party memory in your system, but should you send your system in for service and third party RAM was the cause of your problems you can expect to receive an invoice. I suggest you try ruling out any compatability problem with the new RAM before you send it in.

More information can be found at the original post by S1148625 over at Thinkpads. http://forums.thinkpads.com/~thinkpad/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=95573&start=0 UEFI doesn't support fingerprint readers - yet. (I suppose this is true for all 2011 Thinkpads) I have a T420, replaced the original HDD with an SSD, tried to clone from the HDD to SSD but it didn't work. So I changed BIOS to UEFI only and tried to install windows from the Recovery discs. UEFI refused to see the recovery discs. (Lenovo also confirmed that the recovery discs don't work with UEFI). Finally, I installed Windows Professional 64 bit - a clean install. Installed SP1, Thinkvantage System Update, and installed nearly all of Lenovo's updates. Joined the domain and everything worked just fine. All except the fingerprint reader, which gave three errors, each with the error code E7210005. I spoke with Lenovo Tech Support today. They confirmed that the current version of UEFI does not support the fingerprint reader. They are working on a fix, but have no release date. Other than that, my T420 works perfectly. I've spent nearly all of 2 work days trying to make this fingerprint reader work. Knowing that it's beyond my control is actually a relief. During the 50+ restarts in the past 2 days, the T420 always booted in less than 30 seconds. That's including the time it takes to pound out a 12+ character password, arrive at the desktop and have a ready mouse pointer (not a mouse pointer with a sp... Read more

Answer:Fingerprint reader is not compatible with UEFI - Lenovo Tech Support confirms

Wow, you are really on the cutting edge with UEFI!  Even though the BIOS option exists for UEFI boot, there are still several kinks that need to be worked out, and fingerprint support is just one of them.  We are actively working on these things, and UEFI preloads and recovery disks should be coming later this year. If you come across other UEFI-specific issues, please let us know here in the forums!

I tried to order a DVD/ODD bezel as well as the rails w. screws which secure it when loaded into the bay. The tech support person with whom I spoke was rude and condescending beyond belief and just repeated the script "I hope your experience with Lenovo tech support exceeded your expectations; have a nice day" and hung up on me. If anyone has ordered these parts and can comfirm the FRU numbers, please post them here. If anyone from Lenovo lurks on these forums and does anything to actually help users rather than just deleting critical posts, the case number in question is A062FC7. Alright, I purchased this Laptop through newegg and it was advertised with a discounted price for the Windows 8 upgrade.  So I have been struggling to install windows 8 in my limited spare time and running in to the problem where after it copies files it reboots and then just quickly tells me that my pc has encountered a problem and needs to be restarted and off it goes to a reboot and restores my Windows 7.  I tried a clean install to find that the boot volume was "OEM locked" or something like that.  So I figured it had to be the Hybrid SSD+SATA HDD thing.   So I searched and searched and searched, tried different things had to do the system recovery a few times and nothing worked.  So I called Lenovo tech support.  The first guy was nice enough, but said that I had to speak with enhanced support or something like that and that they would call in 1 to 2 hours.  Well, two days went by and they never contacted me.  So I called them today on my lunch hour, they had to call me back, but never did.  So I called again and this time the lady told me that I needed to talk to the Hardware support team because they know about the problem, but the OS upgrade problem is not covered under the warranty and I would need to pay 89.00 to get the answer.   So I said Uh no thank you, and asked if they had some online resources that I could take a look at to try to self help my problem.  She said no, there is not because "Windows 8 is... After going through 3 calls with tech support on the phone due to a Bluetooth problem I was experiencing - http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/Bluetooth-Blues/m-p/176713#M17889 - and tech support concluding that I would have to send in my T500 for them to fix, I did just that.

I get the computer back today and there's nothing that's been done to the computer. Rather, they dropped in this lame note within the box:

Link to picture

So you've identified the problem but didn't do anything about it??!!! I specifically requested that they not mess with the hard drive as it is a brand new SSD - who knows what the tech will do (such as defragging). This should have nothing to do with them installing a driver for the Bluetooth module that actually works!

I'm gonna have to file a complaint within government channels at this rate.

I just recently purchased an IdeaPad y550. the Loud beep problem has been bugging me to no end. I had called tech suport about something else and asked the rep about the AC adapter issue. They just came up with the steps to solve it thought it's not listed on the site. here it is (you will have to repeat for each of the power profiles you are using) - go to Control Panel > Classic view > Power profiles > Change Plan Settings - click on Advanced power settings - Expand menu item "Battery" > change Low Battery Notification for both items to "Off" Repeat for each power profile you use. The other solutions posted online would only work if I muted all sounds from the laptop  **** update, i installed a fresh vista without the bloatware and just the lenovo drivers needed, the sound settings dont work in turning off the beep. it's only ifh te spekaers are muted there's no beep.  Im pretty annoyed with it at this point ****** 2nd update:New Update: this seems to be working right now. I am not getting the a/c beep AND i didn't have to mute the system to get it to work. I went to the Control Panel >  Sounds > Speakers > Properties > and in the tab for Enhancements i clicked on "Disable all Effects". this seems to be working. i'll keep you all posted. Dear Lenovo et all,

I am disappointed with the current lack of quality control being performed at your assembly plants in China. The first wave of Ideapad U510's you released were fraught with bugs, including a touchpad defect that made the laptop all but unusable. Add to this some incorrect statements in the sales media on the website, such as the claim of Veriface and Intel Wireless Display technology that were not present on US models of the unit, and the U510 should have never left the line.

While I admire the way the Social Media group in North Carolina stepped up to the plate and took care of my particular issue, I've not noticed the same effort being extended to others here on the forum with the same issues (save one offer that I commented on).  Also, consider the threads regarding the Y500 touchpad
and Z580 WiDi - the Z580 problem was a marketing error, but the Y500 touchpad problem is the same one the U510 had.

Why didn't Quality Control find any of the problems? There are enough units already sold that even a random check would have caught one.

I finally received an updated version of the U510 this week with a Synaptics touchpad. The Synaptics solved the contro... Read more

New low in customer service. Had a Lenovo tech here to do a warranty replacement of the display on my laptop and he left it in much worse shape than he found it and gave us a scare as an added bonus. He was yelling and clearly kicking things around out of frustration several times while he was here and then just left. I had debated asking him to leave but was honestly afraid to engage him, but having him just leave was really odd. Called the cops to be sure it was documented and to see if there was anything else we should do. And while that was all odd enough, then I called Lenovo to see what they would do to sort this out and all they can do is escalate me for a call from a supervisor in 2-3 business days.  Got an email yesterday saying they would get back to me in one business day and then tonight got this gem from escalated support: Subject: 02554745 [ ref:_00D30V2Wu._5001412BHaF:ref ] Hello Mr FreemanThis is regarding your Lenovo computer and the recent onsite service for your unit. New Yoga 700-141SK: Ran the Lenovo Support Center Hardware Scan and the Video Card Mathematical Operations Test has failed rendering the Report: WVC007002-UL7BPL. Is there a tried and proven solution out there? I have had a look at the solutions on the forum and am not satisfied that the solutions offered prove that the problem has been resolved. It is reasonable to expect Lenovo to make available a solution as a matter of course instead of end-users of "afflicted" Lenovo devices having to request/search for a solution(s).

I'd purchased a Lenovo Y450 laptop @ the IT fair last June and had encountered several downtime and system issues with the machine.(1) Slow performance (had done a recovery even in less than a month)(2) No sound @ times from the laptop (when restarted a few times, the sound came back...)(3) Some weird sound from the laptop during startup - as if from hard disk(4) Wireless connection - keep getting cut off.*My older laptop does not have these problems... pls advise asap.*My husband called your service hotline the day before and was told the technician will call him back today. He got a call @ 9.14am but was missed. When he called back, the technician by the name of Lawrence, commented "when u see a miss call, u should call me back" !!!I purchased Lenovo product, believing it can serve my purposes and from forum reviews, it seemed to be a reliable product. However, I was utterly disappointed with both the service and the product...I would like to get an explanation on the disappointing service encountered as well as the product deficiency

Answer:VERY disappointed with Lenovo Y450 series and service support from Lenovo!

Yup, I have the same problem too with my Y450. - sometimes there's no sound from my Y450. but after restart, the sound came back as normal. It's pretty annoying cuz each time i need to restart my Y450. - Wireless network could not automatically connect each time my Y450 restarts or boot up.  really disappointed..

Purchased a brand new ThinkPad Yoga 14 Ultrabook, I have it one week.  I called Lenovo for support on the pen and touch screen driver and they want $70 before they will help.  Reps said that this issues has been resollved but that  I need to pay ANOTHER $70, on a machine that just came out of the box, if I want to know what it is. Disappointed to say the least!  If there's a Lenovo rep that wants to make this better, I'd appreciate it.

Please Read carefully, two cases in this message: Yesterday, i noticed a big issue within my notebook. I have a Y550 (P8700 cpu, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 500 GB HDD, GT130M) and interestingly the battery only lasts 5 minutes before saving state of computer and turning of. I called Customer Support, because it has only been approximately one year since my purchase. The support staff (don't remember his name) told me to use Lenovo Energy Management Program to check to capacity of battery. Well, i did try that but it didn't help my case. He also told me that Lenovo gives only 6 months warranty for battery, but other components has 2 years warranty. It is totally unacceptable and false information. Because, i checked several online forums and resources and finally looked at Turkish Commercial laws and website fo industry and trade ministry. The statement is: Batteries and Recharging Tools are under two years warranty. So, Lenovo's policy is 6 months, but offical statement by Industry and Trade Ministry of Turkey is two years. I read a user's topic (he owns another company's high end laptop) and he had a very similar case like mine. After receiving a reply like mine, he applies to a court against company and company had to replace his battery under warranty, even after 6 months.  Today, i called Lenovo Turkey again, (toll free line) and a madam (her name is Saadet) responded to my call. She tried to help. However, her responses was same as the day bef... Read more

p8700 supports vt but you need bios update which there's not any available for vt.
( you can use feedback form to inform lenovo, but it may take some time and/or they may not publish new bios update )
for replacing battery, you should contact vatan computer, let them ship your laptop back to support line.

having had this yoga700 14 for a year ,a nd today it is dead , no power at all , the  the LED indicator light is not on even with the adapter plug in . ONE year , this is the shotest life laptap that I have ever own. And I have had it sent to Lenovo's depot center four times in this one year . I can only say that their skill is terrible , every time I received my computer from the cemter , my computer would have some new ugly scratches and some sign and distorting edge which was apparently caused by improper disassembly operations. A month ago the computer could not boot up , and it was sent in again and they replaced the motherboard . in just a month, it completely  dies now ,  it does not have power at all, the power led indicator does not turn on at all , even if I have tried several confirmed working adapters. So you can see how poor their quality is   warranty is expired now , I m really disappointed with this first lenovo product I owned  , it was the first and it would be the last lenovo product in my life.

Let me preface this by saying that I own a Lenovo X220T and have done for a little over a year. The laptop spends 90% of its time hooked up to a keyboard, Mouse and External screen and is used 3-4 times a week for note-taking. I am an 'advanced user' and certified IT engineer.  I've had numerous problems over that time but I've had enough now. I recently contacted support as one of the plastic tabs to hold the screen has has broken and while I was there I reported a fault with one my USB the yellow plastic has also broken. Support phoned me today whilst I was clearly busy and launched into telling me quite brashly that warranty wouldn't cover it and I was on my own. I was told that although some people has the same problem, there aren't enough for lenovo to recognise it as a fault. The call dropped (as it was a mobile) mid sentence but I was not called back.  Windows 8 drivers and software is laughably bad. Installing the official windows 8 sound drivers broke my soundcard and I had to revert to standard drivers. The fingerprint utility doesn't work at all, crashing every time. The pen just isn't accurate enough at the edges. It improves with the latest firmware but it'sstill not perfect. This is not the kind of support I expect when purchasing a £1300 laptop. While I could deal with all the 'nuances' of the device, this encounter with a poor service has pushed me over the edge. I will not be purchasing from lenovo again, Nor will I recommend the... Answer:Fed up, Lenovo x220T problems. Lenovo support useless

I use the same laptop and one of the little plastic tabs is broken for mine as well. It seems that most of the drivers I've installed for Windows 8 have functioned well.  The pen tablet driver didn't, so I obtained that one from Wacom directly.  That one gets the pen functioning properly, though there seems to be a DCOM component not registered properly which throws errors in the event log.  This, is something I expect will be fixed in the near future.  The sound driver provided by Windows works, but the one provided by Lenovo works for me too.  My fingerprint reader works great.  Use this driver to get yours working. I'm sorry to report that the Wacom digitizer in your tablet will always have accuracy issues near the edges.  This is true for all of the computers I've used which uses Wacom's electromagnetic resonance technology (there are some very technical reasons for this problem I won't go into) and it's inherent to the technology itself (The now-defunct OQO used the same technology, for example, and has exactly the same problem).  There isn't really anything that Lenovo can do.  The firmware update helps a little, but software cannot fix a limitation of hardware.  I have learned to deal with this by doing things like broadening the scroll bars to make them easier to drag (useful for touch anyway).  It has not really impacted the way I use this computer.  I take notes with it frequently in OneNote and i... Good evening! I have a Lenovo Edge 2 that has been babied since purchased. Never abused, dropped, no scratches or dents, it's in fantastic condition still. I purchased the extended warranty, hoping I'd never need it.Last year, it stopped charging properly. The battery power dropped to 0%, and hasn't increased since. The machine will only power on when plugged in to AC power, and will immediately power down when the adapter is disconnected. The charging status indicator LED on the right side of the machine flashes orange in a non-steady, intermittent pattern, and the charging indicator in the taskbar in Windows 10 does the same thing. I returned the machine to Best Buy, they sent it to their "Geek Squad" facility for repairs, and the AC Adaptor and battery were replaced, under warranty. The machine was returned to me, and still doesn't charge.I contacted Lenovo, they advised I would need to return it to their facility for repairs. I put it in the provided box, and dropped it off to FedEx on 6/24/17. It's now been 2 weeks. I contacted Lenovo to inquire about the status of the repair, and was told "The technician found evidence of damage, and the upper case will need to be replaced as well, but damage isn't covered under warranty, so you'll need to cover the cost of the repair." I asked for the price, was told "A technician will email you with the price." I inquired about the status of the original repairs, they told me the claim was on hold, pending my review and... Read more

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Hi everybody i hope you are all doing great. Laptop Details:Lenovo Y50-70 Laptop (Lenovo) 203784720hq512ssd960m16gb ram I made a clean install to my lenovo laptop so I lost some essential applications that came with my laptop. I installed almost all the drivers and apps at lenovo driver support download page without problems but i could not find some of lenovo apps that came in my laptop when i bought it and I really need them. The only one available in the driver download page were Lenovo energy manger. The most importants for me that i need are lenovo onekey recovery app and lenovo updates. For onekey recovery I only need the app, not the files to restore the whole partition, because the recovery partition is intact, I did not format it. So I only need the app that opens it. Th apps I want to get back are:1. Lenovo Onekey Recovery app - The one I am more interested in.2. "Lenovo Updates' (lenovo updates is the name of the app) The scond one im am more interested in.3. Lenovo Settings4. Lenovo companion If someone can guide me to where to download each of them, it would be great. I would need for windows 8.1 64 bit or windows 10. Thank You, I hope you can help me.

Answer:Where do I download Lenovo Y50 Onekey Recovery, Lenovo Settings. "Lenovo updates", Lenovo Companion?

Go to the Windows Store and do a search on "Lenovo."   You will find almost all the apps you need are available there.

Question: A letter to Lenovo

Yesterday, I received one Thinkpad T540p with the ?notorious? design. When I made the order, I just thought that the complaints about the design on keybord, touchpad, and case were due to people?s use habits, but after playing around the T540p for a while, I changed my mind. I just want to tell Lenovo: if you can not change something better, then do not change it. Here are the problems, many having been mentioned by other users: The touchpad is loosing the legacy of Thinkpad. It is OK for me to glue all the keys into one pad, but the pad is not easy to use: the two right-click keys do not work, depending on circumstances; when moving the fingers on the pad, one may frequently unintentionally hit the pad. There are no indicators for wireless connection or hard drive activity. You may think that one can check certain software to get the information, but the latter approach is definitely less convenient. The light that can be shed on keyboard is removed. You may think that the new design comes with keyboard backlight, so no need for the light anymore, but what happens to those machines without backlight keyboards, why are you still producing new products without backlight keyboard? The hard drive is constantly making noisy sound, seemingly a very low-quality hard drive. I do not hear such noise in my T410.The plugin electric adaptor changes the shape from circle to square. Can you give me any sense for you making this change?????People also complains about the numbe... Read more

I bought TPS230U in may2013, and one monthe ago, the laptop just turned off by itself and wont turn on anymore. I had tried troubleshoop refresh and resetting options but it doesnt work.
My warranty certificate is still valid for itnernational support (now I live in  Brazil), so that, I called Brazil´s support (My laptop ID is: Type 3347 2GU S/N xxxxxxx 13/02.
At the first time I contacted by phone, the attendant asked me to (once again) turn off the laptop  and call back again. Well, I did it, adn (of course) it didnt work. So I called once again. The second the new clerk said I should buy a cd or dvd ( which could not be via USB stick ) , download from other computer and copy  an image file  that lenovo would understand the problem . I explained that I had not cd to record that moment. But he was very rude, and told me that it the  support goes to my house and concludes that there is a software problem and not hardwa, I was supposed to pay for the visit. So, I went to a store and bought a recordable CD , recorded the ISO file and got home to insert it into the laptop and....for my surprise,  my laptop doenst have any  entry for CD ! I feel that lenovo has been really disrespectfull with me and all I want is to have a simple support to my laptop, but I still couldnt have. Pleaase let me know how can I solve this problem before my waranty term expires!!!

First off I know nothing. When comparing all the 440 models only the T440 & L440 have displays listed as LED backlit. I could not find LED backlighting mentioned on any of the other 440 models. I call Tech support and ask if the T & L are the only models that are LED backlit and he says he didn't understand what backlighting was so I said it was the lighting behind the LCD screen and would be either LED or CCFL. He put me on hold and came back and said all models were LED. That sounds good to me and I will leave it at that. As I said he gave me pause so I didn't ask which models had the IPS display feature. Here is what I could find in regard to IPS looking at the features and specs for each model. E440 no IPS.L440 no IPS.T440 no IPS.T440p IPS for the FHD screen.T440s IPS for both HD+ & FHD. If any info is wrong please correct.

Answer:Lenovo Tech guy gave me pause!

I will add that searching through the forum here that the T400/500 had CCFL backlighting so I hope the Tech guy is right is saying all new models are LED.

Hi, so I recently ordered a lenovo y50 from this website. Everything is working great so far except for the fact that the "W" letter on my lenovo keeps popping out. Is there a location I can go to to resolve this issue (BestBuy Geeksquad)? I called lenovo and they said I could return the laptop and get a new one, but I am reluctant to wait another month for a new laptop. I've had this laptop for 4 days now and I have tried wriggling the "W" key back in, but it still pops out very frequently. Thank you!

I am an owner of a ThinkPad T450s. I just want to describe the recent horrible experiences I have had with Lenovo Tech support. There is an issue with my battery where it doesn?t securely snap into the bottom case and it always rattling and loose. I called Lenovo Tech support and they set up a depot service to be repaired at the repair center. Having had a bad experience with Lenovo repair center in the past, I took pictures of the laptop in various angles as well as put a note on the laptop stating that the laptop is in mint condition and please be careful with it. I received the laptop back on June 21 and immediately I saw scratches on the laptop lcd lid. It was very clear that while replacing the bottom cover, the technician didn?t place the laptop on the soft surface with ended up damaging the top lid. On top of the damage, the original issue of the lose battery wasn?t fixed. I didn?t know how it passed QA. I immediately called Lenovo Tech Support again and was on the phone for an hour and was told that an onsite tech support would be scheduled. I was told that the only the lcd lid would be replaced and the bottom cover would be replaced again. I told the agent that replacing the bottom cover wouldn?t fix the issue as they have already tried that at the repair depot. I also told the agent that you can?t just replace the lcd lid alone as the middle and outer lcd bezels aren?t salvageable. Once they are taken off, they can?t be reused. The support agent didn... So I am sitting here on my MacBook Pro which in my opinion does not have any wireless issues whatsoever, it works. I still own this ThinkPad with a garbage wireless card, and I feasted my eyes on an Intel 7260 but lo and behold, it isn't on the whitelist! Scouring eBay and Amazon I did find a FRU, but would the number of that FRU be the same on the Hardware list? Lets see, well I cannot even find it. All I get are Page Not Found errors which to me is a hilarious joke of Lenovo's support. What does this mean for me? Is my X230 at a very very unnecessary end of life? Should I like, fork out £1400 for an "upgraded" model that probably won't fix most of my problems? My problems is money and saving money. Should i now look elsewhere? No, because I'd rather keep my money to actually FIX my current laptop's problems (the N2200 is a garbage card and would like to replace it with something that's up to date to todays technology but that isn't happening by the sounds of it) I am frustrated with my current laptop's problems and it's having a large effect on my studies. And possibly you can also lose customers by inadequate non-existent support and failure to give us the freedom to actually let us upgrade for those who do. For those who don't, more like.

We recently purchasd several M58p desktops for our company.  They were installed with XP and several of us used the recovery disks to upgrade to Vista Business.  We found that there were 3 created partitions.  The C (OS) drive.  A Q: Factory backup partion that can be recovered after burning your own media and a S: Lenovo Boot Partition drive.  Our problem is that we use the S drive for one of our network shares.  The usual methods of changing a drive letter in windows do not work.  I called support to find out how to change this and recieved no help.  The rep said that because it was advised not to change that drive he could not recommend a solution to me.  I cannot believe that Lenovo would lock away a drive letter like this.  Any help would be appreciated. Eric

I recently bought a Lenovo B490 Laptop (20205) in India which has a rupee symbol on the numerical key 4 along with a dollar sign. I was wondering how to use this key.  I found an alternate way where in, a Indian based IT company had specified an alternative: http://blog.foradian.com/rupee-font-version-30 But since there is a dedicated symbol for 'rupee' on my keyboard, I would like to know if I can directly use it (through key combination/other method). I am running Windows 8 Pro.

/rantI just got off the phone with Lenovo tech support. I was upgrading the stock 500GB hard drive to a 1TB model. (Both were 2.5" SATA). The tech had no idea how to resolve the issue (it turns out the new drive required 9.5mm rubber rails; I had to google this during one of the interminable holds I was placed on) and when I told him the half hour of my time he wasted added zero value, he "disconnected the call". I've called them in the past and have been directed to non-Lenovo websites, Youtube videos and google searches. Honestly, the level of service is apalling. I really regret not getting a Macbook and will NEVER consider another Lenovo product./end rant

Answer:Would you expect a Lenovo tech to realize that your replacement HD requires 9.5mm rails?

There were two types of 500 gigs hdd used in the W530, one is a 7 mm version, and the other one is the 9.5 mm version. The tech support may have assumed that you got the 9.5 mm version and not the 7 mm version of the 2.5 inch hdd.

You may want to take a can of computer air and gently blow out dust and debris from under the keys. Do this carefully and with low pressure as too much will lift off individual keys. Also - make sure no liquid has been spilled onto the keyboard. If so you may need to take it to a service center for cleaning or replacement.Good luck.

I spent over an hour on the phone with Lenovo tech support last week to try to solve this issue and it is not solved. The guy had never heard of it and kept researching how to fix it.  I personally  have this feeling that it's a very very simple issue but I can't figure out how to correct it.  I've changed mouse/pointer settings and it still isn't working.  I love my new laptop in every other way but i'm getting so frustrated with it I'm ready to send it back because of the problem with the mouse/pointer.  So if anyone could help me I'd appreciate it greatly. I will be typing and out of nowhere the cursor will move to wherever the mouse is...or it will highlight everything I just typed and delete it.  I've had to type much slower and keep moving the mouse but when i'm working on my projects and typing away and highlighting/editing, I get into the work and it's a pain in the rear when the cursor suddenly moves a paragraph up and I am still typing away and sometimes don't realize it until i've typed another two sentences.  Hence the typing slower. Today it deleted discussion posts I had typed up for my online classes before I had hit submit. Causing me to waste another 30 minutes trying to retype what I'd already done.  I was ready to throw this laptop in the garbage. I decided to not do that and post in this forum in the hopes that someone will be able to help me. Thank you,Komal

I have W530 configured by Lenovo for RAID 0 with two HDDs.  I was wanting to install a mSATA SSD.  I've seen two Intel Technologies and the LEE 3  (listed in the subject) that you can utilize if you have an mSATA SSD.  I want to know if the two Intel techs are actually different programs or just different names for the same thing.  In this lenovo thread, they seem to be used synonymously.  However, I have found to pdf files that contain different instructions on how to set them up: here and here.  The ladder seems like it was intended for a specific motherboard; however, the intel programs downloaded are different in both pdfs.  Can anyone shed some light on whether or not these are different technologies, and if so, what the differences are.  Lastly, the Lenovo Enhanced Experience looks like a combination of the Intel programs.  It seems that they just slapped there name on Intels programs  Anyone know anything on that?

Also, I was looking at the tabook.pdf and it shows the W530 uses the Mobile Intel QM77 Express Chipset.  The first pdf I posted showed that the Intel Z68 Express Chipset was required for the Intel Rapid Start tech.  is the W530 compatiable with either of the Intel Techs?

Lenovo Y460p Users - anyone recorded from a headset mic before?I can't seem to record it...1) There are 2 jacks: on the manual it said one is called "Headphone jack" and the other "Microphone Jack".2) Plugging it the right way ( Red jack to "mic jack", green jack to "headphone jack") yields no recording: audio plays but when recording using sound recorder, nothing is recorded.3) Plugging in the wrong way ( Red Jack to "headphone jack"), i actually can record SOUND. but no audio can be played out from the laptop.I've updated drivers from the lenovo site, still nothing.Someone with Lenovo Y-series can help test this with a headset with mic? Hello all lenovo users, I wanted to buy Y430 but it is no longer available on the website , is it a good laptop or not? Do recommend it to me honestly .? Other question is that which is better y430 or Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 - 40516BU?it says that it takes 4 weeks or more to ship ? why is that ?  please reply to me ...

Answer:Question lenovo users!!! Professionals as well !! :)

The Y430 could have been removed for a number of reasons. From a shortage of components, possible revisions, or discontinuation. In regards to which is better, you would have to answer a couple of questions. What are your expectations for the laptop? What is the main operating environment for the laptop you intend to purchase? For work, school, entertainment, etc, etc.Do you require any specific options? Discrete graphics, docking station, high resolution, etc, etc. Now, I may not give you the best advice in selecting the laptop that fits your expectations/needs, but there are plenty of people in these forums that are willing to help you make a decision.

Hello dear lenovo community, i just bought a lenovo z510, i installed winodows 7 64bit on it and updated all drivers. i noticed that the right speaker produces more bass and higher, cleaer sound output, specially when playing video games or listening to music, most of the sound is coming from the right speaker...also i noticed a very little buzz sound coming from the left speaker,  similar to the sound coming from a damaged speaker, but this one is not very clear unless you put your ears net to the left speaker, probably bcuz the right speaker is covering it...i want to know if it's normal that a speaker is a little louder than the other ?in realtek hd audio test, its little noticeable that the right speaker has clearer sound coming from it, also little bit louder, but in videos or video  games difference is huge !! also i noticed that in youtube player, when controlling the volume from it, and put the volume gauge in the middle the sound is almost eqaual, after surpassing the middle of the sound gauge, all the volume increase goes to the right speaker.... so to kill the difference  have to put the volume gauge in youtube player in the middle or a little less, then control the volume from windows but in video games i can't do that.. waiting for help, also i bought the computer online, and i neeed it for school, so i can't send it back to service till next summer.i am starting to regret my choice for lenovo  edit: defaut windows dri... Lenovo,I got a new X1 Carbon last year - 16GB RAM & i7. Worked great but occasional BSOD. Finally caught an error in a RAM test and the system automatically opened a ticket for repair (Nice!). A week later motherboard sent, nice repair guy comes and replaces it. RAM checks clean but the next day I realise the camera no longer works. Update the ticket. A week later, they send a new camera and the guy comes back to replace the camera. No change - no camera. Update the ticket - this time they send a new motherboard. Nice guy comes back a week later and replaces the motherboard. Camera works again. Yeay! But now it is crazy slow. Turns out the new motherboard is an i5 with 4GB of RAM. Running Windows 10 means this is pretty much unusable. Nice guy says he will order me a new motherboard with the right part number. 2 days later he calls me back. They sent another i5 w/ 4GB of RAM. He will update the ticket. 3 days later, different nice guy comes out with the new part. Checks it out before installing it - i5 w/ 4GB of RAM. I am now waiting for my 6th visit and I have had an unusable laptop for over a month. Seriously, all the people I have been dealing with have been great but why is it so hard to just send the right part? PLEASE - How do we make this all go away so i can get back to enjoying my laptop? Thank youDavid.

Question: Lenovo Support

Probably not the place for this, but I see Lenovo Support bashing a lot on these threads and want to offer the other side. My Yoga 13 died last week. Would not charge ort turn on. No lights. Got on the phone with support (spoke good english) and the tech discussed the situation pleasantly. He emailed me a mailing label that evening. I put it in the mail on Wed, March 19 via Fedex Ground. I was texted updates throughoput the process. The motherboard was replaced on Saturday and I got it back Tuesday, Mar 25.That is a 7 day total turn around and I could not be happier. Service was phenomenal and it seems to be running better than ever. Annoying fan issue is even gone. This is my favorite in a long line of laptops over the last 20 years and it finally seems to be perfect. Thanks Lenovo!

Answer:Lenovo Support

I'm glad you had a pleasant experience.  I have not.  Laptop lasted 4 weeks then died.  Technical support was unhelpful.  I have been waiting 6 weeks now for my replacement laptop.  Customer service has been TERRIBLE despite numerous calls and speaking to agents, leads and supervisors.  I would caution anyone before they purchase from Lenovo.

Question: To: Lenovo Support

Let me start by saying I'm writing this in the hope that this reaches someone high enough in customer support so my problem can be addressed properly. I have a 5 month old Thinkpad Edge E520. Recently the motherboard died. Not an unfamiliar story as I'm sure many of you already know, probably the hard way. I thought Dell was bad, but dealing with Lenovo support is the worst experience by far. I run a computer repair shop and have had to deal with getting various computers repaired under warranty in the past. Most have been a relatively pleasant experience. However I have found through a number of phone calls, some rude and unhelpful reps. They all deny any problems with edge series yet they follow that up with: " You're board is on backorder and we don't know when we will have any". Yeah, this obviously a board they have had no problems with. Lenovo has been one of my first recommendations to my customers who have been seeking a new machine but I'm honestly beginning to reconsider. I understand all manufacturers have issues from time to time and I certainly don't expect Lenovo to be immune to these. What I do expect is decent customer service that understands the importance of taking care of there customers in a pleasant, timely fashion. Many people rely on there machines for work as I do, so to have a serious issue after 5 months and be told "We have no idea when we will have these boards again" is unacceptable. It's also troubling to hear many on here have had mul... Read more

Answer:To: Lenovo Support

I'm responding to a posting by Ryan, who's having problems with his ThinkPad E520. I purchaseed two E520's last December, and while one has and still is performing flawlessly (perhaps because it is only seldomly used), the other machine has been fraught with problems from day one. I muswthowever, qualify that statement by adding that at least thus far, I have been quite satisfied with Lenovo's Warranty Services, as they have stood firmly behind their claims that they are dedicated to their customer's satisfaction. Regretably, I have had to ship my affected machine to the support center in Tenn. I believe four times, and I am currently awaiting a call back from a support representative tentatively to escalate my case to "Level 2", which I was told was to evaluate the machine for replacement, something which I would be hugely impressed by. I am a writer, so I require a computer in good working order, reliably on a day by day basis. As Ryan pointed out, all large corporations experience sporadic complications, no matter how quality conscious they may be. Lenovo certainly cannot be expected to circumvent such issues, regardless of how lofty their aspirations towards excellence may be. Although I most certainly would have preferred my ThinkPad to have arrived last December problem-free, I'm both grateful and impressed by their diligence in supporting their warranty services as they have so far done.....I shall keep this forum abreast of developments, regarding how my current issue... I have a T430s laptop and it is less than 6 months old. It starting getting blue screens within a month of purchasing it. Technical support has been helpless in trying to fix the laptop. First, tech support told me to turn update my computer daily. Then another tech support employee told me to turn OFF my auto updates. This did nothing and over a few weeks the blue screens progressively got worse. Next, tech support told me to run a diagnostic on my computer which turned up nothing. Then, they tried giving me recovery discs and a new hard drive. After that failed they took it in to replace the system board which made the blue screens worse. Then they sent me MORE recovery CDs to try to fix the problem and that also made the blue screens worse. I called tech support after this and they said they would send in a request for a replacement laptop. I was told I would hear from someone in a couple days. FIVE days later I got a called from someone asking if I wanted a replacement and I said yes. Then I was told I had to wait two more business days to get contacted about it. Another 3-4 business days later, someone called me to tell me that they would NOT be replacing the laptop despite the fact tech support could not fix the laptop. After calling tech support once again, I was told that they wanted me to send in my laptop again for up to 7 business days! This is completely unacceptable. I have had problems with this laptop almost the entire time I have owned it and no one knows... Read more

I keep receiving calls from fake MICROSOFT Tech support with various telephone numbers. Strange, they do not show up in my phone on line logs. They wanted me to go to FASTSUPPORT\763721586 ( do not use  these numbers). It is a company  called FASTSUPPORT.com. they also give you a complaint department where you can enter the number that you feel is causing you problems, the number of the LOGMEINRESCUE type remote access code. of course it is clear to them that you are suspicious and they will get rid of the  phone operator who didn't succeed. I recently purchased the z510 laptop and I'm liking it so far. However, I'm worried about the keyboard. When I press on the keys, the keyboard goes down. I don't know if this goes for all z510 users or is it just me. The only area where the keyboard does not bend is around the O L P keys and spacebar keys. Everywhere else it bends.

Answer:Users with Lenovo z510, I have keyboard question?

Dear H-Bar

Welcome in lenovo community

Actually i am not able to get a clear explanation regarding your issue , but if you mean that you can see the metallic surface that is around the keys are moving a little bit so i can say that this is something normally for all the Z series , no need to worry

Thanks
Alaa

hello friends i am planing to buy this lenovo ideapad y570 but i noticed that there is a lot of problems in this  laptop like overheating and screen issues so what you advice me ? should i buy this brand or look for another brand like toshiba or hp ?need your opinions please ,, sorry for my english

Answer:lenovo ideapad y570 users experience

IMHO, I would go with a different brand.  Lenovo's IdeaPad designs are not ready for prime time...too many issues that should have been resolved prior to releasing the designs for production.  And post-sale support is simply awful...nothing like the excellent experience I use to have with Lenovo's ThinkPad designs and service.  Again, just my opinion based on my experience thus far with two Y470 machines.

I have a Lenovo Y510p with 2x GT 755m cards in SLI. When playing games like WoW the MAX GPU temps on Card 1 reach 90°C. On Card 2 85°C.At this point the game starts to stop responding. The screen will go black for about 1 second andthe laptop's fans will slow down for just a moment before the game resumes and the fans go back up.This will happen pretty much any time the temps hit 90°C again. I have a Notepal U3 laptop cooler with 1 fan on each GPU intake slot and 1 on the center of the laptop.I have also repasted the CPU & BOTH GPUs with Arctic Cooling Silver 5.I have modded the bottom case of my laptop to allow more air into the laptop. The BIOS is also modified (so are the GPU BIOSes) To stop the crashing I tried upping the voltage on both cards by 012.5mV - 025.0mV. This didn'twork at all. Games always seem to stop responding when temps get to 90°C. However my laptopshouldn't even techinically be getting this hot in the first place. I'd rather max temps to sitaround 80C. This laptop has always run pretty hot and I've always felt like I got a lemon as others haveexplained to me that their laptops don't get anywhere near as hot as this. As such I have some questions for other Y510p users: 1. What are your MAX temps whilst doing some extensive gaming?2. Have you repasted your CPU & GPU?3. Have you modded your Y510p fan intakes to allow for more air?4. Do you use a cooler?5. Do any of the games you try and play ever stop respo... Read more

4K monitors are cheap now (like there is a Vizio 43" 4K for only $500 at amazon) and I'm thinking of getting one. But I'm concerned that the Lenovo 410p won't be able to handle it. Can I learn from anyone's experiences? When attaching a 4k monitor to the 410p, did you get 4k resolution? did you get 30hz or 60hz refresh? Could you watch videos on youtube in 4k or would that cause tearing etc.? TYIA

Answer:Have any Lenovo 410p users tried to hook up a 4K monitor? How is it?

This should tell you that the unit can easily use that 4K TV as a monitor.

Answer:I NEED YOUR OPINIONS DEAR USERS LENOVO Z500

I do not own this laptop. I read some reviews and checked the performance benchmarks. This laptop cannot be used outside due to low brightness. It performs decently and should play FIFA at medium settings. Do not expect it to play games at High settings. Overall, it seems to be a good laptop. Also remember that some consumers will face issues with laptops. With this one, I did not find a lot of negative reviews or complaints (although there are some).

Is there any way to contact Lenovo Support directly? If you go to the contact section of the support site, there is no contact option!!!!!There is no e-mail address, or chat available. My problem is that the specs for my laptop (700-15ISK) are not complete. Not a single word about the on-board M.2 slot. And i don't want to dig through the forums to get this piece of information.I want a clear statement, coming from a Lenovo representative. Thanks!
