D-Link DIR-655 Firmware

Question: D-Link DIR-655 Firmware

I received my router with the 1.11 firmware. Has anyone had any experience with later firmware versions? D-Link just released v 1.22. Is it worth flashing to the newer versions? Any benefits over the older version? Any problems with SecureSpot?

Thanks for the insight.

Preferred Solution: D-Link DIR-655 Firmware

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Question: TP-Link Firmware

After reading the thread by simonsiknasty about slower internet connection, I decided to upgrade the firmware on my TP-Link WR641G Router. I currently have v3 of the firmware and v4 was available on the official Site.

However, after several attempts I have been unsuccessful in upgrading it.
Here is the upgrade screen...

I click on the BROWSE button, select the latest firmware (wr641gv4-en-up.bin) and OKAY. It looks like it's trying to do something, but nothing ever happens! Tried this in both Firefox and IE8. In IE8 the progress bar moves slowly across to about a third of the way then stops.

Has anyone had any experience of this Router, as I'm stuck on this at the moment?

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:TP-Link Firmware

My old router was a TP-Link. What a stupid choice I had made.
Well, this thing looks like it has the same firmware as my old router, only difference is I had no 11G, whatever that is. I updated its firmware only once. I didn't have this issue though... Try disabling any forwarded ports and turning off the wireless before the install. During the update does the router reset itself? Do the lights blink or anything? Does it show any indication of loading, processing etc. ?

So I've purchased a DIR-655, and it's come with some ancient firmware factory installed. Now usually I'd just go straight to the latest F/W, but I know that this model wont let you downgrade F/W. I've seen a lot of DIR-655 owners kicking themselves for installing F/W upgrades that have screwed up their router, and I don't want to make the same mistake.

So my question is: What is the latest Firmware for the DIR-655 that is SAFE to install?

I'm hoping to be able to use the HDD/printer USB functions that were added to the later F/W versions, but I can live without them if there is good reson to stay clear of those versions.

if i were to get a d-link di-624 what version would i need to support any of these firmware upgrades: 2.25, 2.28, 2.42, 2.50, 2.70?

Will any of the new version (d) support xbox live even tho it is 4.?? because on the xbox website only lists these firmware updates and the new ones come with higher than that.

Also, the d-link website says that router can do 64bit wep, 128bit wep, wpa, or 802.1x or something, does that mean I can do either of those, or all at once? I just want to run it at 128 wep period. THANKS!

looks like they forgot to update the site then. I don't have a Dlink router, but checked it for you on the site. Most router interfaces are 'crappy' - infact your lucky to get one. Cisco have ommited webadmin features for years. There is now an addon pack for the webconfig. The best I've seen was on a cisco switch with webadmin installed, it looked really good. But, most home routers just have a standard interface - and one I had knocking about a few weeks back had a bright blue, green and yellow interface - was that awful or was that awful. :-o

D-Link released Firmware version 2.28 for H/W Ver B2, dated 8/22/2007. Is there anyone out there who has installed any of the F/W updates and can tell us if it has cured the "disconnect" problem frequently reported with this router?

Answer:D-Link firmware question

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Answer:D-Link G604T Firmware upgrade

I actually tried this firmware upgrade yesterday on yet another G604T that I bought that day. It is straightforward but it didn`t work!I spoke to D-Link who said that I shouldn`t need it anyway - only if I was having problems which I`m not. I did ask them if it would make any difference to wireless range etc and they said no. It would only make a serious difference if for example the adsl line was dropping. Are you still having problems?

I have a 4-year-old D-Link DIR 601 (cheap) router. It used to put out a little better than 42% (~38Mbps) of the speed I get hard-wired (92Mbps). Last week, that was cut exactly in half (19Mbps) after I made a few changes to the configuration which should have had nothing to do with the speed it delivers.

Is there anything I can check in the router's config that might account for the drop in speed?
The firmware is 1.01 and I understand 1.04 is available, but the site asks if I have model A or B. I can find nothing on the labels about A or B. Where would I find that?
I tried downloading the 1.04 update for version A. It's a zipped .bin file which is not executable. How does one apply the update to the router?
The router has a reset button that resets it to factory settings. Could that solve the speed problem, or is it not worth trying?

The short version of the story: D-Link released a new firmware a few weeks ago for their flagship DGL-4500 Gaming Router, the main feature of which seems to be that every couple of days the router grinds to a halt and requires a reboot.

D-Link haven't even apologised for the chaos this has caused to their users, and we're all still waiting for a fix.

Had a few problems with poor and intermittent connectivity (referred to click here).Sadly, the one swallow didn't make a Spring and the problem continued. After further digging, I concluded it might be a router problem. The problems started after a firmware upgrade.I again tried a new upgrade, as before, from click here==, and followed the instructions on installation from click here==.Problem is, when I get to Step 4 (installing the FS file) my browser (Firefox) loses connection to the router giving the message 'Connection Interupted'.The initial attempt at an upgrade was not from the principal PC on the three PC network but was over an ethernet connection. That PC is one of the two with dodgy connectivity. My current attempt is from the principal PC, again using an ethernet connection.Further details on the previous thread linked to above.Help!TIA,db.

I had the exact same router for a couple of years.I did start a thread regarding my dropout connection, after resetting the router and playing with the settings from the configuration pages-i still had problems.I could not fix the issue, and one particular PCA member suggested the router just got to hot, this i now tend to agree with. Now a new router (Belkin N series) and all is fine.Upshot is,in my opinion the firmware update will not solve your issue. I think the G604T has a life of a couple of years and thats it...sorry.For now and if possible i would reset the router to factory settings if the firmware has not installed.

"Normally when you think of firmware updates for a router you would expect security updates and bug fixes. Would you ever expect the company that makes the product to try and sell you a subscription for security software using its firmware as a salesperson? I recently ran into this myself when trying to troubleshoot my router. I noticed when trying to go to Google that my router was hijacking DNS and sent me to a website trying to sell me a software subscription. After upgrading your D-link DIR-655 router to the latest firmware you'll see that D-link does this, and calls the hijacking a 'feature.'"

Just purchased a D-Link DSL-320B (D1) ADSL modem for my dads PC and wish to update it's firmware from 1.0 to 1.21. I download the 1.21 firmware, logged into, and found the firmware update section. I click browse, locate the latest firmware zip file and click update. (Have to do this in Internet Explorer as it doesn't work in Firefox). It shows a loading bar which after approximately 50 seconds, reaches 100%. It then says the modem has been restarted and update complete. All seems good, but when I view the firmware update page, it says my firmware is still 1.00 (January 2008). I have tried using the older firmware file (1.10) but the same thing happens. I also tried extracting the files from the zip file to a new folder and uploading it that way.

Anyone know what I can do? I am unable to find a d-link email address for the UK. I emailed New Zealand and they refused to help because I'm in the UK, I also tried emailing the UK sales department and they said I must ring a 10p a minute number to get help which is unacceptable. I wish to update the firmware because I like being (and like my dad to be) up to date with things. Also, my dad is getting random drop outs which the firmware may fix.

I have an old Linksys WRT-54G that I thought might be getting a bit long in the tooth. There was a recent sale on the new D-Link DIR-657 which is a full featured current gen model, that supports wireless N, support QOS automatically for game and video packets, and supports USB print server and file sharing function. I decided to upgrade for the cheap price of $20 on at the recent onesaleaday listing.

I expected to get a bit of an improvement in connection speed - after all that old Linksys router is about a decade old. I've not really spent time on wireless yet to compare at all, but for wired there is no change to speak of. I was surprised, because I figured that old v2 WRT-54G 200mhz processor might have been holding me back. It apparently was not.

Hi everyone. I have a problem. I tried to go to a web page in Internet Explorer because it wouldn't work in Firefox. Well, when I typed in the web page address on Internet Explorer and hit the Enter button, it went to Firefox and proceeded to load the page in Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Firefox is set as my default browser. I have Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 3.0.1. The main problem with this is that I cannot download Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 because I can't go to the Windows Update site. As you know, Firefox is incompatible with Windows Update. Hi all,
I have a problem and wondered if anyone can help me.
I am very new to access with very little knowledge and really want to learn.
I have to create a link by using part of a web address, and part of a data field.
the 1st part is
the 2nd part will be a numeric field to be taken from a particular field held in a table,
and the 3rd part will be /pictures.
therefore the entire url i want to create will look like:

The url will be unique each time as it is basically linking to an online docs repository which are stored in order of the number.
Hope that makes sense!
I have created a table with a hyperlink for the 1st part, which works, firing up i.explorer and going to the correct site, its the next 2 bits i cant seem to get my head around!
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Many thanks.

I've looked all over the place but I can't find any information on this as it's using generic terms so there's nothing specific to search for, apologies if this has been posted somewhere already which I suspect it has.
The issue I've seen three or four times now is that someone posts something generic on a friend's wall then appears to immediately comment on it with 'the link, hehe.. (google short link).  The first part varies, the one today is 'I dare you to edit this weird movie ?' but the second part is identical aside from the google short link changing.  I've used the Google site to see what the short link expands to which seems to be a different site each time, I've not opened the site but the only brief mention I found on a reddit thread claimed the page had a fake FB login to capture username/passwords.
As it's friends of friends who seem to have been caught by this, I've not been able to have a look to see how their account has been compromised - anyone familiar with this and know the source?

Answer:Facebook - 'the link, hehe' (google short link) - account hijack?

When I click a link, my browser page refreshes to get the page I requested but another tab opens with some page asking to download software to improve viewing of videos or advertising some video game. Sometimes the new tab opens when i simply click anywhere on the browser page (non-link areas). This happens in both browsers I use i.e., Internet Explorer and Firefox. The "Ilivid" video related software is often one of the bogus pages that opens. I'm using Windows 7 home premium service pack 1, firefox 23.0.1 and IE 10.0.9200.16660.

Prior to getting to majorgeeks to perform "read me first" instructions, i had used ccleaner, iobit malware fighter, trojan remover, and malware bytes anti-malware fighter (i have 13 days remaining) to try to fix the problem. I also noticed that prior to running ccleaner again per the forum's instructions, there were missing software programs in my start menu and so I did not run it a second time (based on your warning message). Answer:Unwanted tabs open when click on a link or non-link area

You have to be more careful to opt out of unwanted toolbar and other junk installations when your download programs. When you download and installed Iobit's Malware Fighter and Advanced System Care you did not uncheck the automatic installs of the Spigot and Conduit junkware.

Uninstall the below now. If you do not find it or it will not uninstall, just keep going
IObit Apps Toolbar v7.4

Now run this >> Reset Firefox to Defaults

Now please download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

Run OTM.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
Copy the lines from the below codebox to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C

Most likely no, nothing will happen as unlike Android where it's an open platform with a layer of patches ontop of patches, apps are sandboxed on WM10 from the ground up.

Ok, so I bought this router DIR-615, went through the entire procedure without a prob, second I installed the DWL-G510 (D-link) adapter into my pc (winXP pro, Pentium 4),

now the funny and really frustrating thing is everytime it looks for a wireless network it doesn't find one + after refreshing my pc automaticly goes into a loop of restarts. The only way of getting it out of its roundabout is by turning the power of and unplugging the adapter from my pc or by unplugging the router so there is no wireless NW.

I've went through everything I could think of, formatted my pc, searched a million of help pages online, went to the store (and there it worked perfectly, no problem accesing the wireless network of the store with the DWL-G510)

So plz, could anybody help me out on this one, I'm really running out of options here m/b something is wrong with my configuration of the router, but I don't think so, got no problems using one of the wired LAN ports of the router.

Thx in advance, I just hope I didn't post this in the wrong forum, it's hardware related I thought, so plz don't shoot me if I'm wrong

Is there an adjustment or is this an inherent problem with this system?

Maybe some additional information?s would be more helpful;

What window do you mean exactly?
What link do you mean exactly?

Whenever Microsoft Automatic Updates come to my screws up my IE 7 so whenever I click a link that goes to a .pdf file or click an e-mail link on a web page IE starts the process and then completely closes everything. If I reinstall an older version of IE (without tabs) all works fine. And sometimes...if i reinstall the newer version (with tabs) it seems to fix the problem. I also run RegCure to help cleanup. But after the latest auto updates...these cures don't seem to be working. The older version IE6 works's only with the newer IE & that this happens. Thanks

Answer:IE7 closes when I click a .pdf link or e-mail link

I don't use IE7, but does it have a Manage Add-ons in the Tools menu?

Check for the Adobe Reader add-on. I assume you have it already installed.

Also, check Adobe and see if there is a version/update for IE7.

Using Windows 10, build 14393.1066 and using 3 browsers Fx, Edge and Chrome will not open links intermittently, possibly 1 forth of the time. An empty browser window appears with an empty address slot.
However, selecting the link “Click Here” (for example), and dragging the words "Click Here" or even an entire TITLE link up to the address bar opens the site as it should. The fact that this occurs with 3 browsers suggests a Windows problem, not a browser problem. I did uninstall "Classic Shell", Winaero Tweaker, Adobe Flash and Reader without effect.
Any advice on stopping this behavior will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was on my phone, reading an article from a respectable news outlet, when I came across an ad tempting me toward a seedier corner of the web. It featured a photograph of an anonymous woman leaning over the bathroom sink, her head cut out of the frame, backside front and center, iPhone gleaming on the counter nearby. ?Husband Divorced His Wife After Looking Closer at This Photo,? the headline read.
I squinted. Was this some kind of ? butt-related mystery? I clicked the link. Soon I was mired in a distended slide show, crammed with photos of random women and bloated with distracting doodads, including a decoy ?Next? button that misdirected me to an advertorial for a supplement claiming to cure erectile dysfunction with a blend of ingredients like ?horny goat? and ?potency wood.? When I finally arrived at the slide show?s terminal page, the promised divorce-inducing photograph appeared: It was a decade-old viral photo, one that had been debunked by Snopes.

I went on that ride courtesy of one of the internet?s many ?content discovery solutions.? These companies occupy real estate at the margins of websites like CNN, Politico and TMZ, and fill them with links to content landfills with names like Buzz-Hut, CollegeFreakz, Dogsome and TimezOff. The links are often ads for stuff like bedsheets and dental implants that are disguised as news articles ? or else barrel-scraping clickbait that tempts the reader toward still more ads ? and because the thumb... my wireless router and wireless adapter is not connecting. I am having a hard time trying to connect to the net. it constantly says weak signal (54mb). The router is maybe at least 30 feet away from the computer (wireless adapter). i have installed all the required drivers and also changed the PCI slots for troubleshooting. Now i'm at a dead end and can not figure what other things i can do to improve. There is no phone, radio devices, or other signal that is interferring. The wireless adapter and wireless router is a straight shot. Its just down the hallway.

Is there something i can do to have great signal? or even connect? at the moment i cant connect, unless i use the Cat6 cable. thats the only way it will work. once the wireless adapter is inserted, there is next to none connection.

any hints are greatly appreciated!

The ordeal continues.

I just received an Edimax wireless PCI network adapter that I ordered in hope that it would solve my DGL-4500/G5 woes.

Installation went fine and everything seems to functioning properly from a hardware perspective, but my Link Speed is holding firm at 0 Mb and I can't get online at all or even access my router.

I should note that I quickly tried connecting using the DGL, but when it didn't work I thought I'd troubleshoot and try the DIR-625. I can't get online with either and I'm currently staying connected to it for the time being.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Here's the Terminal info if that happens to be of any help.

I worked most of today in Word on a critical document, saving the file every 10 minutes or so. I put the machine in hibernate and when I opened it back up to do more work, the file was not in the Word recent file list.

Did a search (from the Start icon) and the file, with the proper date and time showed up as a link (a magnifying glass with the shortcut arrow in the lower left). I cannot find a way to have the link icon open the file that I saved.

Is there anyway to retrieve a file that the OS knows was there, but appears to have lost the linkage?

Answer:Search link has lost the file it should link to

Welcome to the Seven Forums!

Maybe you have already tried this, but open the Windows (File) Explorer and manually look around for the file that way. When you first open the Windows (File) Explorer, you should see the Documents library - look around in there.

Dear all,

I've got a Princeton Digital VL1716 monitor. I'm thinking of switching from a VGA cable connection to a DVI-D. The DVI connector at the back of the monitor has 24 pins, which suggests one could use either single link or dual link DVI-D cables. However from the online specs, I see the monitor's maximum resolution is 1280x1024, while single link's resolution is 1920x1080, and dual link's is 2048x1536. Does this mean getting a DVI-D cable would make no difference? Why would they have a connection at the back if so? Thanks for helping me clear this up!

After the connection has been established, without me opening a browser or using any Internet-consuming application, the connection starts transferring data ( I deducted this from the connection's tray icon and from the Network Utilization in the Task Manager ).
This independent data exchange seems to affect my connection's speed (due to the consumption apparently), and I'm at my wits end about this...
What could be causing this problem?
Any suggestion would help.

In order to get my laptop onto the network at school I've been using a D-link DI-524 with the ethernet cable hooked up one of the lan ports. I picked up a pocket router on sale at OM in hopes of doing the same setup in a much smaller package, but with no luck. Both times I have had DHCP turned off with all off the other settings (90% positive) the same. With the pocket router I am able to get an IP address, along w. dns server, etc, but am unable to connect to the internet. Does anyone have any ideas?

btw: plugging the pocket router into my network at home works fine.

Answer:D-Link pocket router V D-link DI-524

Perhaps knowing what kind of network your school is running would help. Even better, why are you carrying a router in your pocket to attach to an already existing network? Most colleges have DHCPED WAP's or Ethernet connections you can easily attach to unless the Network Admin is a network nazi and has it locked down so tight you can't even put in a static IP to route through in which case, your SOL.

are there any differences between a Junction link and a Symbolic link of which I need to be aware?
Thank you.

Answer:Junction Link vs Symbolic Link

Storage objects a junction references are separate directories. Symbolic links can either be absolute or relative links.

Based on your need, there is no limitation does Junction has.

I did that a long time ago and now I cannot remember How
I'm referring to the icon on the far left that is JUST an icon, no text.

I want to make a few of my links JUST icons and no text (ala quicklaunch). I've tried the obvious rename. I've tried renaming from explorer. I've even used an alt code, but it's only good for a space, and then I have to add a space each time. "a file is already named ' ' please name this something different" or something like that... bwah.

It really sounds like form A and subform B are both using the same table, and are not a Master/Child field link situation. But rather, form B (the subform) will have code in the "On Current" event that will find the current record on the form B within the form A, therefore allowing that record to be edited. Review your original post, I think you used the "B" one place where you meant to say "A". No matter what, you need to clear up with us out here if both form A and form B are using the same table.

it has a "via GroupABC" (Remove) on it

so if you share it on say another group or a friend's page, it would read:

now, how do you to that "Via GroupABC" trick?

In yet another case of good intentions gone bad, I unnassociated my .lnk files with the file type and now my links don't open. To start with, I went in and changed the .lnk file so that the extensions were always displayed. Decided that I didn't like that, so went back in to change it back (Explorer>Folder Options), could not find LNK in the list, so created it (Windows said it was already there, but it was not in the list like it was the first time) In trying to get to the Window where I could uncheck "Show file extension all of the time" I had some problems and screwed up, unnassociating the file with the action. I think I good get it back if I recreate it and correctly enter the drscription of the action, but I can't remember it. (Yeah, I know, I should write things down.) Can anybody help me. I can open programs by going to Explorer and clicking the .exe files, but that's no way to live a life. I would appreciate any help.

Answer:Help! My link files don't link

OK, so I wasn't thinking clearly. I fixed it by going back to yesterday's restore point. (I guess I am remiss for not mentioning that I am running WinXP Home.)
However, I still have the question: How do I get back in to change the setting back to "Don't display file extension". The LNK extension no longer exists in my list of files (in Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types). Can I create this without screwing things up again, then go in and uncheck, or is Windows going to see this as a different file type? The first time I did it Windows said something about how this type already exists, etc, (even though it was no longer in the list). I think this is where I went wrong, because I created the "new" type anyway, then, in a huge brainfart, I unassociated it with the action.

Any thoughts?

OK, I keep reading different things. What is the maximum DVI resolution that a single-link TMDS transmitter can output? Is it 1920x1080 or 1920x1200? I seem to see both crop up. Thanks for any help in this matter. Hi,I recently bought my first CD burner. It's a Sony Spessa USB Plus CRX100E/X2 drive. I found out that it can't quite burn an entire 80 min/700MB disk, but that there is supposedly a firmware update that fixes it. I downloaded a firmware update program from Sony's website (found here), and flashed the drive with the default firmware file (CDRW0008.BIN), but it didn't seem to do anything except change the driver to an EEPROM driver. I switched back to the original driver, and it was as if I had never done anything...The firmware program came with another BIN file, ZERO.BIN, so I tried flashing that. I guess that was a mistake, because now the drive doesn't work at all - it's recognized as a "non-specific QT processor with JG". I tried changing the driver back to the original again, but this time Windows won't use it. It just says that there are no compatible drivers for the device. I tried to flash the firmware with the program from Sony again, but now it doesn't recognize the drive as being compatible, so it won't flash it.I was hoping to get some support from Sony, but they informed me that I would have to pay more than I paid for the drive in the first place to get support. So, I hope someone here might have an idea of how I can fix it.

Answer:Is there any way to fix this firmware?

That is why the smarter people here do NOT recommend firmware or BIOS updates lightly. You can end up with a doorstop and no recourse. If the product is still under warranty and doesn't do what is advertised, take it back for a return or replacement with something that does.

Unlikely to be firmware, possibly a missing video codex, but difficult to say. What exactly happens when you try to play a DVD, my Inspiron plays them with the preloaded Cybercom PowerDVD player.

Hello all,

I am looking for Firmware for DI-614+ wireless router. When I use WEP encryption, no wireless client (laptop) can connect. I have also tried the latest firmware I can get from D-Link. I hoping to use this with my TFCko box or as my access point for my laptop.

If I cannot use it as wireless access point. Is there a firmware hack to make it a wireless client or a repeater?

Thanks for any ideas

Question: firmware

my grandson as a mp3 player he wants to upgrade with firmware i found the firmware for his model at the mpman site downloaded it in a zip file but there wasn't any instructions on the site or in the file on how to install can anyone advise Thank you Dave

If you have not unzipped it, do that now, there may/should be a file, normally called README.txt (if not look for any file with a .txt etention). Hopefully this file will have instructions on how to use it, if not, let us know the name of the mp3 player and someone prob can sort your prob.Hope this helps.

Question: Firmware

I recently purchased an nVIDIA 6200AGP8x 350MHz Graphics Card with 512MB For an eight year old Dell Dimension 4600i (P4, 3G HT with a 128 card). As I didn?t think I was getting the full benefit of the new card I checked in BIOS. The maximum it goes to is 256 so I looked the Dell site and saw there were 4 updates, one being video, ok so I downloaded it, and then stopped. I have had a bad experience with firmware (a Plextor drive that refused to work after an update) as a result I am not sure whether to go ahead or not. Ok pathetic but please humour me, do the risks out way the benefits.
Oh, re. the HP on this PC, I noticed it is disabled in BIOS sorry better for a new thread perhaps.

Now lets see if I understand. You have replaced the the original graphics card with a nVIDIA 6200AGP8x 350MHz Graphics Card.
From the Dell web site it only shows one update for the Bios but it does not state what it was for so should not be used.
Although it does have several driver updates for graphics cards these are not for the new card you have installed and should not be used. Go to the nVidia web site for new updated drivers.
From my memory the bios does not indicate how much memory the graphics card uses. I could be wrong.

Question: Firmware for an AP

I have a couple of DLink 900AP's. One has the standard DLink firmware but the other has some specialist firmware for use with a commercial WiFi network.Does anyone know if it's possible to download the non-standard DLink firmware from the 900AP - so I can flash it to my other 900AP?

Answer:Firmware for an AP

No; I think you'd have to find it on the net. Search for whatever info you have even just its revision number. You can usually make backups of router/AP configurations, of course, but although the firwmare is sometimes saved along with it, it may not accept being ported across and you'd lose the other AP's settings in so doing.
