Need an Activation Key

Question: Need an Activation Key

Hey everyone,

I need a key to Symptom Survey Maestro version 8.51 or older
I can get a 30 day trial. Is there a way to permanently loop it?

Greatly appreciate any help, and will help you back if I can.

Preferred Solution: Need an Activation Key

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Need an Activation Key

I am pretty sure this website is not here to provide cracks or serial keys to paid programs.

Greetings!

This is relatively new experience for me and I have spent some time Googling for solutions.

A friend of mine upgraded his genuinely activated Windows 8 Pro Parallels virtual machine to Windows 10 Pro. After the upgrade, he finds that his Windows 10 Pro is not activating. When I check, the error 0xC004C003 states that the activation is being blocked.

A common suggestion I have encountered was to install the OS from scratch, but that isn't practical in this situation. I am also aware that with Windows 10 the licensing is based on unique hardware identification, which makes me feel that this might affect virtual machine installations due to the nature of virtualizaiton, but surely Microsoft had thought about this before rolling out Windows 10 with the new licensing scheme (or at least I hope).

Another suggestion I read and tried was "slrmgr.vbs /rearm" --> reboot --> "slrmgr.vbs /ato". I still receive the same error. I also tried "slrmgr.vbs /ipk Windows8KeyHere" but it didn't work. I received an error code "0xc004e016" about the key being invalid.

Any ideas?

Answer:Mac Parallels Windows 8 Pro (genuine activation) upgraded to 10 Pro, activation block

If he doesn't want to reinstall, call Microsoft's licensing number and complain.

Hi there
I recently changed a MOBO from an INTEL based one to one using an AMD PHENOM processor -- W7 didn't want any new activation rather surprisingly. (Broken Mobo and I had a spare ASUS MOBO lying around).

However the first time I switched to using a LAN cable instead of a Wifi USB adapter I got the "Hardware has changed - please activate windows. OK it activated fine -- however seems strange to me that a MOBO change didn't call for any activation (Disks, memory, DVD device etc were canaballized from the old machine) but a simple switch from Wifi to a LAN did. !!! The internal logic of the activation process seems totally illogical and bizarre. (Running W7 x-64 ULTIMATE). !!!

Cheers
jimbo

Answer:W7 activation -- new MOBO fine but LAN connection wants activation

hi all

is SLP loader functions the same as windows activator?

i'm using Win Server 2003 Standard Edition as my OS. currently, it's already prompting and i have 27-days left for activation

this all happened when i initiate System Recovery using the same CD installer i used to setup the same computer almost 3-years ago. i did so as it hung-up and i can't managed even to go into Safe Mode, as well, the so called Last Known Good Configuration but still to no avail

i used the same CD Key i used initially before but it won't accept or recognized it where it states that if my CD Key was right and still not updating then i should telephone Microsoft

wow!

can i do that when i'm not in the continental USA much more these computer was registered not under my name since it's only a hand-me-down or surplus which is beneficial to me

so i'm looking for SLP loader or windows activator (if it function the same way) intended for Win Server 2003 Standard Edition as it may resolve my issue

hope it's okay to inquire and that if it's not advisable to reply post in here, i welcome it through PM

Answer:windows activation (27-days left for activation)

If it's a valid key, you should have no problem calling MS to re-activate Windows.

It should give you an option to pick which country you're from on the activation window, and then a number to call.

Hi guys , I installed ATI 2010 Home, Boxed version made a backup image to external HDD. got a message saying I had 30 days to activate trial version? I restored the backup image and I activated ATI , offline, I then received a message saying thanks successfully installed. When I access ATI now I get the same box asking for activation again. the options are Try out, Buy, Activate, Cancel . I was thinking of reactivating online , but am wary of further messing up the install . I have not registered the product yet , Had a look at the Acronis register page ( they tell you Not recommended to access the page) ? Any ideas with this one ? options uninstall , reinstall? Try activate online? Anyone experienced this problem?

Answer:Solved: Acronis keeps asking for activation after activation

Hi guys, this ones solved, I took a chance11 rebooted, connected to the internet, started ATI and reactivated online it worked . Same as last time only the ATI icon seems to be different, have tested it a few times and goes straight into Acronis without problems now. Done!

Hi Gents,

Hope someone can help me here. I've been using a retail version of Win7 Home premium 64 for about 2 years now with no issues.

During that time I've reinstalled the product possibly 6 or 8 times. Excessive I know but when things start to go wrong I like to start fresh again. Anyway from memory the last 2 times I have had to use phone activation.

A couple of weeks ago I dropped my laptop and killed the HDD. Put in a new one and reinstalled Win. I've just tried to activate with no luck. I went to phone activation and being lazy I typed in my old code I had saved from last time.

Now I can't activate and when I try and open the phone activation box I get a pop up from the toolbar saying the copy isn't genuine and nothing more.

Is there a way to resolve this or have I pissed off the activation so much that I actually have to shell out for a new copy?

Thanks in advance and I'm located in Thailand if that makes a difference.

Hello, I have my original activation key but when trying to finalize it, windows tells me this key is only for upgrades not for clean installs?

I had to to do clean install and it was from my original official backup disc so I'm not sure what the problem is?

Answer:Activation says my key is only for upgrades not activation?

Maybe you bought an upgarde disc and not a full install disc.

Use your original disc, not the backup.

Question: xp activation ?

if i legally purchase a 2nd hand xp disc liecence and activation code, what happens if the seller is still using it on his system, will i still be able to register or ? thanksalan

Answer:xp activation ?

This would still be illegal becuase the other user is still using the operating system. You installing it on your drive would mean there are 2 of the same copies. I not sure whether you will be able to activate it becuase windows produces a Computer ID number and according to your configuration, the Number won't match the one the other user registered.whenever you activate, you give Microsoft the id number. If you register now, Microsft will see two different ID (2 different computers) and won't give you an activation number.I'm not too sure about this, I'm just saying what I think. Hopefully someone can confirm this.

More than likely as it seems to be working (at least from Microsoft's standpoint) with XP. I would think that it will probably be an even more secure anti-piracy measure also.

Question: Activation

I have had Windows XP for about 4 years now all legal and registered. I had a hard disk problem(bad sectores) and put an new 550 gb hard disk in and cloned it with Seagate disc wizard. All great and I could boot from either drive. However, I thought I would do a fresh insatll of Win XP on my new hard drive as a couple of annoying errors had cloned across (obviously) After doing a new install it is now asking for both drives (old and new) for Windows to be activated. However even if I try to activate over the internet I can;t because I can't log on and it tells me I have no connection (catch22) There is no boot in safe mode is there? Any ideas how I can get in please?

Answer:Activation

Probably no ethernet driver. You might use another computer, go to the manufacturers website and DL the driver to a floppy/thumbdrive etc. and install it that way - should get you online.

Question: Win 7 activation

I am upgrading a winxp dell laptop to win 7. The license is legit, I bought a new work system with a win 7 ultimate license and downgraded it to xp using my old xp license and wanted to use the win license to upgrade my home laptop, in effect swapping the licenses on both machines. I did a clean install on the home system, formatted the drive, the install appears to have gone correctly but never asked for the new license. When I try to enter the license manually it keeps telling me there is a problem and to call Microsoft and register over the phone. I would rather figure out what the problem is and get it corrected. I think the way I installed win 7 on my home system wasn't the best way to do it but at this point I'm not sure what the best next steps should be.

Thanks in advance for any help.

When I booted my PC this morning, I got a message saying that the hardware had changed and I had to reactivate Win XP. Well, the hardware hadn't changed, but I attempted to do the activation. The activation window opened, but the normal activation info did not appear. Instead, the hard drive is constantly busy and msoobe.exe is using about 30% of the CPU and this goes on forever. (Forever being at least 10 minutes in this case). I've tried it multiple times with the same result.

Everything appears to be fine on the hard drive and all applications work properly. I've always accepted the installation of the latest XP maintenance and am at SP3 level. Any idea as to how to proceed? I have the 888-571-2048 activation number, but when you call that they assume you can get the activation window open and see the options available. Maybe if I had left the activation loop run for a few hours it might have eventually presented me with the proper screen?

Answer:Win XP Activation help!!

It may be a virus. Your windows activation data is stored in your C:\WINDOWS\system32\wpa.dbl along with other stuff. That may have become corrupted, so I would suggest using a virus scanner first to assure that's not the case.

What copy of Windows did the machine originally ship with?  If it had 8 originally then 10 has probably picked up the 8 key from the UEFI and used that to get the free upgrade to 10.

You can't use a single XP license concurrently on 2 PC's. With that disclaimer, go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>activate windows.

You may have to activate over the phone. It's a bit tedious but it works.

Question: activation

Hi
I have been running Windows 8, with media pack, in 32 bit mode for the last two months without problems.

I have now done a clean install with formatted drive of windows 8 in 64 bit mode. All went well and activation was a success. However the USB network adapter is giving serious problems and a suitable driver appears not to be available. Briefly the whole system locked up and I did a reinstall, which was successful. Trying to find a suitable driver again caused problems so the USB adapter was taken out and a refresh done. The network was then cable connected, which is okay. However on trying to activate it now returns that the activation key is in use on another computer and I have to buy another key. It wont give me the option to activate by phone.

I understood you could reinstall as many times as needed on the same computer, or does changing from 32 bit to 64 bit override that. If so how come I have done the exact same thing on my laptop with no problems. Unless anyone can suggest an answer I guess it is a call to customer support. I would appreciate your views.

I think I am on the verge of this being not allowed but I do have a problem. I have a rebuilt compaq thta is supposed to have a windows vista but I preferred the xp and had a problem with viruses so did numerous reinstalls of my xp with no issues. But I did not get completely rid of my virus so had it professionally reformated.

when he brought it back, he brought back my disks and said he did not use my disks but i should just go ahead and activate during the next five days. I have tried repeatedly to activate but I don't get approved. the telephone system is just a electronic voice and when i put in that other code they say that is no good.

No i did check my code with the magic jelly bean and I do have the right code and it is registered to me but it is xp and not the vista that was with this machine and what is on the case.

So does anyone know of a phone number where I can reach microsoft without paying a fee or do i need to get the vista activated and then go back to xp or something.

Question: Win 7 activation

So if I burn an ISO to a flash drive and have several keys for Win7, will I be activating the same copy of 7 or would they all act like separate CD's would?

I have 3 servers that I don't have an optical to and the USB Flash is the best idea for this. I did this with Vista and think I deactivated the first install with a second install and separate key for the second machine. The first machine immediately told me I had to re-register it. Does the installation ID bounce?

Answer:Win 7 activation

Keys for the Win7 Beta or RC will work over and over again, even if the keys are identical.

Answer:Xp Activation

Tell it to activate, when it fails it'll give you the option to use the telephone to activate.
Call Microsoft and have them activate it over the phone.
Make sure that you confirm that this is the only copy of XP and it's only installed on one system.

Question: Activation sms

Hello.
I try to get my google drive to work on my lumia 630, and google sending me an activations sms but i do not receive any sms. I have the same problem with my new installed Viber acount. I can receive sms messages from others, like family and friends

Answer:Activation sms

There may be several factors that cause this, but one of the most common is having the wrong country code or including the number "0" in front of the main mobile number.
For example:
In my country, the country code is +63. Let's say a mobile phone number is 09171234567. This usually becomes +639171234567 where the "0" is replaced by the country code. This number may not be the same as +6309171234567 at all times.
Note: the mobile number used above is an arbitrary number, not mine though it may belong to someone else. The number is readily producible, as it is 1234567.

Question: Sp2 Pre Activation

Doing a repair install of xp sp1.
Can i install the sp2 network install before activation ?
So i don?t need to go online with only sp1.

Thanks.
Luiz.

Answer:Sp2 Pre Activation

I find that the answer to this varies .

I've had systems where I've had to activate (by phone) in order to get to the desktop...and I've had systems where I've been notified that I have 30 days or so to activate. I suspect that all the phone activations were triggered by hardware changes detected in the system, but I really cannot remember and swear this was the case.

If you can get to the desktop and already have the network install of SP2, you should be good.

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but here goes anyway...

I'm installing a new MB/CPU in my computer this weekend. I own Windows XP Pro retail, and I've installed new MB's before, and everytime, I have to call in to activate, and I just tell them my old MB crapped out, and I had to install a new one.

Is there a limit to how many times I can do this? I truly only have it installed on this one 'computer'. I'm keeping the same VC, memory, HD's and OD's...

Thanks.

Answer:XP re-activation after new MB

I believe there is a limit, but that it expires every 6 months or so. Assuming you don't make this a monthly thing, you shouldn't have an issue.

Question: W10 activation ??

I just activated my copy of w10 insider by inputting my product key for 8.1 pro which I own. I did this by going to settings update and recovery then, activation. It accepted my key,and now says windows is activated
Does this mean I don't have to rollback to 8.1 before getting the official release on July.
Would be nice to know that I wouldn't have to o through any bother when the time comes.
It would make sense to me that this activation should be enough to prove my validation for the upgrade
Anyone know ?

Question: Wpa Activation Key

Hey guys, I went ahead and reinstalled my Windows XP, all was going fine until asked for activation key, I inputted the one which was with the pack and now I get the error message, invalid key. This is the only activation key I have and the picture matches exactly the one on the screen, what can I do to get a new key? Im not going to call Microsoft for this as they charge for their customer phone support which I find utterly disgusting, have we not paid enough for the sofware in the first place! To give you further details the version I have of XP is from late 2003 and has SP1 written on it, which I believe refers to service pack 1 from what I can tell. Thanks for the assistance. I am wholly open to the idea of being given a hack code if anyone knows where I can get one, I paid for the product in the first place so whichever solves the problem mostly quickly the better basically. Thanks everyone!

Answer:Wpa Activation Key

It's likely that the activation failed because you've already activated that particular copy of XP.

When you attempt to activate (and it fails) you should be given the option to activate by phone. This is free and only takes a few minutes to do (I do it at work several times a week). The computer (on the phone) will ask you some questions and then will provide a series of numbers to re-activate your copy of XP. If you don't answer the questions correctly, they'll connect you with a human who'll ask you some more questions and then will give you the numbers to re-activate.

FWIW - We don't support "hacks" here, nor any other illegal activity.

Question: xp activation ?

This is not a pirate question. I installed a new mobo in a dell comp and xp went to the blue screen of death. I reinstalled xp and thought when I go to activate xp , it would deny because it had been registered already.I typed in the key off of the dell case and it activated without any problems at all. Can someone explain the rules about activation to me ? I have two rigs running xp and both have crashed. but I only had to reactivate one of them. One crash was from a virus and the other was lightning.

Answer:xp activation ?

You need at least 1-3 major hardware changes, for activation not to work online(to activate it you need to talk to a microsoft rep.). They also track the cpu-id. Since your using the same cpu and your computer has had only 1 change it should be fine.

Hi there

didn't you get a prompt for W10 during the re-install process. Refuse that (say later) . Install W7 and activate . Now go to windows Update in control panel and you should see Windows 10 offered as an update.

When re-installing W7 WIPE all the partitions off the old W7 partition / HDD.

I had to upgrade my laptop because Win 7 got so many errors on it and I couldn't fix it. So to make a long story short I upgraded to Win 8 Pro x64.

Since I don't have a legit key activation fails, but I want to buy it and when I click on the buy it link it says I have to go to a retailer.

My question is how can I buy a license? If I wait until late Oct. will it work then? How long can I wait with not activating it? I don't want to ge locked out.

It is Win 8 Pro Build 9200, don't think it is MSDN.

Hiya,

We have a machine at work which originally had windows 7 64bit home installed on it. We upgraded via the upgrade assistant thing to professional for office use. The upgrade assistant gave us a new activation code.

I was wondering if I can use the original disk and original activation code to install on a separate machine at home which I have recently upgraded to a 64 bit system - will the os activate?

I thought it would be a good idea to check if this is possible rather than go right ahead and purchase a new 64 bit os for my new home system. Maybe it is a call to Microsoft?

Thanks for any help its appreciated)

Answer:Help with activation.

Hello Quantumk, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sorry, but no. Since this is an upgrade copy and not a full retail copy purchased, it would violate the EULA to continue using the product key of the Windows you upgraded from.

In addition, if the 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium came preinstalled on an OEM computer, then you will also not be able to activate it's key on another computer since it is permanently tied to the motherboard of the OEM computer and will not activate on any other computer or motherboard.

Sorry,
Shawn

Question: XP Activation Help

I recently accidentally wiped my hard drive after trying to restore my master boot record, and I've needed to reinstall Windows. I have a Dell OEM XP SP2 disc laying around and I installed it without a hitch. My problem? It's on an HP. It constantly asks me to activate. Now I know this may be a stupid question, so be gentle. Can I call Microsoft to get it activated without any flak from them? I would call and try, but I'm kind of paranoid that they'll ask a question that will get me busted. I may be a worrywart, but I have to make certain before I call. Thanks for your help in adavnce.

Answer:XP Activation Help

an OEM disc is meant to stay with its original Motherboard..while you can get away with changing out the HDD, it can ONLY be activated with the MoBo it was originally activated with...

in short, no, you cannot activate your copy since you've put it on a different MoBo..AFAIK, you're gonna have to get a new copy of XP...they are usually on sale for around $130 for the OEM version...

Question: XP activation

Hi you all.

I have a small question.

I just built a new machine,a e6600 with a p5b delux mobo.
I installed xp using a old cd that i had(just because i havent bought a new xp yest)
I know that this isnt a leagel copy, but i thought that id install it and then i have 30 day to validate it.

bute here comes the problem.

I cant get it validated with the new key.

when i look at the system properties it says oem and dell, and i dont have a dell.
So i think that the cd i used was some kind of coperate version of a dell xp,

now i try to validate it with a key that i know works, that i use at work and have ok to use(its a multi licence key)
But i only get invalid key.

Does the XXXXXX-640-7721335-XXXXX from the system properties have anything to do with the validation?

Cause my com at home has XXXXX-Oem-XXXXXXX-XXXXX.

And if i change that will i be able to activate it?

Thanks in advance

In the past, whenever I needed to reinstall XP on a machine, I would use a full retail version CD, then go through the activate-over-the-internet screens. I would then use the telephone activation. After reading the installation id to the computer, it would fail, then transfer me to the polite Indian person who would give me the correct activation code after I explained this was a reinstall. Sometimes I would need to give the correct license code (these were always legitimate licenses with the sticker intact), but usually not. I've done this hundreds of times.

Recently, on two occasions, (both with HP machines, btw), I have been transferred to the piracy-police section of MS, and told that my install won't activate unless I reinstall with the original OEM CD.

I like using the retail CD because it already has SP2, and I only need 100 or so updates to bring it current after the install. :-)

So...has there been a change in the activation procedure? Is there a better procedure for me to use, or do I need to start stockpiling OEM cds?

Thanks!!

Tuner

Answer:Activation changes?

it sounds like you did not purchase the retail version and they would know as soon as you gave them the serial
they are cracking down on pirated copies and on oem,now oem can only be sold with a full computer,a cable and a h/d and the like no longer qualifies

Question: XP Activation

This is my first post guys so be gentle.
This topic has proberly been covered so here it goes

Got a pre installed copy of xp every 3 days it keeps asking me for the activation key, I go through the usual process phone Microsoft. I have changed the motherboard and added more Ram, new drives but the operating system is still the same. Now I think it might be either 3 things.

Faulty Ram

Cmos battery ( not sure on that one)

Software problem

When it is running I am also getting connectivity problems limited on no connection error. I am using the netgear wireless usb adapter which works fine I have tested it. But the software that comes with it wont run it runs in the background but I have no visual interface. Now here is the killer this pc is a emachines370 pile of **** hence the change in the motherboard but the copy of xp is legal which came pre installed. So the big question is can some body shed some light on this problem because I dont know how many times you can ring Microsoft.

Cheers Guys.

Question: SP2 and activation

I have also put this on the SP2 forum.I recently installed win xp home. Before activating I thought I would install SP2 disk from ms but it wont let me. Does xp have to be activated before I can install sp2? If yes can I install sp1 without activation. Obviously I want to ensure I am secure before going on the net.

Answer:SP2 and activation

Probably, because SP2 checks your product key for validity. You need to have SP1 and SP1a installed before going online to activate. There is no problem with them.
