Form on website displaying comments in html

Question: Form on website displaying comments in html

Hi all.

I am using WebEasy Professional 6 to design my website. I have inserted a form on my 'contact us' where clients can submit comments, however these comments display in html format when I view it in my inbox (Microsoft Outlook). Does anyone have any suggestions to correct this? Thanks!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Form on website displaying comments in html

Greetings, BexBomb.

Sounds like you've got something missing, most likely a bracket. Look for code similar to this:

<form>yada yada</form

Notice the missing > after the second "form".

If you can't find the culprit, post the address and I'll take a look at it, or you can validate the page at which should show any HTML mistakes on the page.

I don't think you need worry too much about hotlinking! :)The header graphic needs to be higher resolution."Please let me know if you would like to submit an image to this gallery." should possibly have the mailto: link on the "please let me know" rather than "submit an image"....

Hi, i have just finished coding this website and it is current sitting on a test section on the website while it is well.. tested. I just wondered whether you had any thoughts and contructive critism about the design. I have written quite a few websites before but find that by having someone else looking at the site they will pick up something i will have likely missedthe site here

Answer:please give your comments on my website!

although it does rather remind me of a popular web forum software - it's the blue colour I think.I'm an advocate of small font sizes for web sites - I hate seeing pages with all 10 or 11 point text, but I wonder if in your case it might be an idea to snitch the font up a point - at least until you have more content? It's not a big thing, but some of the text looks a little lost on an otherwise empty space.Perhaps if you had a few more images it would improve the look, and tend to help hold readers on the pages?These aren't major design flaws - you've done a good job - but maybe there's room for a little tweaking now, especially where images are concerned. A nice picture of the church itself on your homepage wouldn't go amiss, and one of the interior would be good too - especially if your church is an older building with stained glass etc.

Answer:eBook website - comments please

Very clean and uncluttered. you have some advetising images at the bottom of the page, can these go under the ones on the right and made smaller.Some kind of logo at the top which will always link to the homepage would enhance the top of each page.Remove the faint table border on the left of page and perhaps apply a border to the images.Avoid BOLD print unless it is important.On FAQ's add a bookmark 'back to top' this avoids scrolling.

I have just put up my first website and can already see there is room for improvement e.g. pages with a lot of thumbnails take a while to load and I think I should break them down into more manageable sizes.I would appreciate any comments or criticisms anyone might have on the style or layout. The address is click here

Answer:My first website - comments welcomed

Thank you for your comments, fourm member. I agree with everything you say. Using NOF8 photo gallery meant that a lot of the basic design was already done for me but that also means I can't alter some things I don't like. For example, I would have liked to use a simpler border for the thumbnails, but it's then impossible to tile them evenly across the page.I like the facility to scroll through the larger images, but dislike the fact that if the images are centred, the scroll arrows move around depending on whether the image is portrait or landscape.I'm not sure how to resolve the issue of the black area to the right of the table. Personally, I can't stand websites that require me to scroll to the right to see the whole page and if the 'favourites' column is showing and the table were centred, then scrolling would be needed.Now that I have an idea about the basic concepts, I can have a go at designing something to meet our specific needs.I will pass on your compliments to my husband re the photos. I can't take credit for them - I'm just the tripod holder (and sometimes the tripod!). Iceland has some spectacular scenery so it's not too difficult to find subjects to photograph.

Answer:Wanted - a few comments to improve website

Re: the site.Hit counters. Don't get me started - I hate them and it serves no use to tell the world how many [or how few] visitors you have had. Accurate statistics are a feature of most web host accounts so the page hit counter serves no purpose and takes up page real estate that could be better used.Your initial site homepage is a little curious since it leads, in turn, to the site home page. One observation I would make here is that first impressions count and, as such, your homepage should be the first one people see and it should have impact. I don't think you are doing yourself any favours by saying "This is us - click here to visit out home page".Now I'm going to get picky:On your home page [the second one] the link at the top of the main frame content page that read "LemonAid 2004 Photo's" is lost to my eyes because of the colour scheme used on that link. It looks at first glance like emphasised text and not an actual link. This could be down to my colourblindness but there we are.The font on your flash buttons on the "Intro & Booklet" and "Contacts & Links" buttons is nudging at the button borders. This may seem extremely fussy but I always think a minimum space should wrap all text on all button or some end up looking cramped while others with les text or smaller words can look a little bare.Your "Lottery" link loads up one of the longest pages I've seen for quite a while. It has an awful lot of content and the large empty spaces used to break each item up o... Read more

I am trying to create a data entry form for a large database. There is a parent form with 6 forms linked with a one-to-one relationship (due to a large number of fields) and several tables linked with a one-to-many. All have auto update/delete checked. The date entry form uses tab control (across 11 tabs) and subforms for some of the tables. I have two problems...

Firstly, if I enter part of the data for a new record in the form (eg fill in tabs 1-3) and then close it, the data appears in the tables, but when I re-open the form the record does not appear, so it is impossible to complete the data entry.

Secondly, when using the tab key to move through the fields in the table, when I get to the end of a tab control, instead of moving to the next tab control for the same record, it moves to a new record on the same tab.

I am fairly new to access and not familiar with all the code etc behind it, so I would be grateful for any advice!

I am a true beginner in access programming, so excuse if my methods isn't the best, and any advice would be much appreciated.

My main problem is displaying a Query I did on an attachment field in my main table on a form.
This is what i am working with:
Access 2007
My main table name : Table2
Attachment column name in Table2 : Target_photo
Query name: QuerySpecGraph (Query on the attachment field)

The query works perfectly fine when I run it and gives me the correct result. Now to display the query on the form I added an new attachment under controls and edited the control source to display the query results.

I used the function dlookup:

I tried similar code on a text box, with a text Query and that worked fine. However it does not want to work for the attachment.

Then I tried to analyze the situation to see if the query is the problem, so changed the attachments control source to:

this was to see if even a basic dlookup function works in the attachments control source, but yet again the attachments box stays empty (Again I tested the simple dlookup function with a text box to see if my table is the problem, but the textbox's dlookup works fine)

I do not know what I am doing wrong, or if it is even possible to do what im trying to do! Any advice would be much appreciated, and if there is away around this I will gladly explain in more detail ... Read more

Depending on your OS, you can access internet options that will allow you to turn off the html feature. This will allow you to view in text only. Question: HTML Form

Hi. I am a begginer webmaster(!)

I was wondering if any master-coders out there could help me with a form i was building. There are two problems on it. When you hit submit, it runs posting via Outlook or Outlook Express which in turn asks the sender if this is ok and warns him it is a nor secure connection. I'm feeling this is worrying potential buyers. I'm sure there must me a way to send this info without using a mail provider.

Another problem: I have just added a new funky way of ordering, using an add button to move the selection accross to another box, but these selections are not sent along with the rest of the form.

Please help. Paul.

Hi all,

I am a beginner to MS Access. I was trying to create a form in Access which has 3 combo boxes on it, with each of them having the data on accountname, report type and date respectively. This data comes from 3 tables which are two column tables with one filed being the primary key one and the other fiield having the say accountname as type Text and so on. The form has the functionality that as a user chooses a particular combination of accountname, report type and date from the 3 combo boxes and clicks on a button titled 'Display report' the respective pdf file opens up. These pdf files are stored in a particular folder and are named as a concatenation of 'accountname+reporttype+date'. The form also needs to have a button clicking on which the user can close the form.
Any directions members !

Also could anyone explain me what actually a query is and what relationship does it have with a form. I have some idea about this but i am still not fully clear about these concepts.

Hi Guys
First timer - so please tread gently! I'm sure this is a similar situation, but wasn't sure whether it warranted another separate conversation.
I have a situation on an unbound list box in Access 2000 and haven't yet got to the bottom of it. I have a box which displays incorrect records for the user to correct. When they first go into the box, they see all 500 records (for example) and use a dble click event to edit the one they want, when they return to the box it will only display the first visible amount of records. They can use the scroll bar but the records do not scroll!

The Code behind ( and here's where I get lost - I don't do VB!) opens another form, allows you to edit the record, saves the changes, closes the form and returns you to the original form. We have tried keeping the original form open, as it was closed and reopened, but no change.

The DB has been inherited, so I have no idea why a List box has been used an not a combo.
Forms data is taken from a query.

I'll work out how to post a copy of the empty DB to you!

I want to create a private website to manage my family tree. I am requesting ideas of how I can display the data in tree format in HTML. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Answer:Any Ideas On Displaying Family Tree In HTML

My first thought is to use nested unordered lists, all of which would be configured with CSS with list-style: none;
and background images for the connector lines.

The CSS style for the items would include padding to make room for the image.

Probably, each item, ie. person, would need a class name to designate which background image to use and where the padding and image goes.

Where you have a group of items that all need the same image, you could possibly wrap them in a div with a class
that puts the same image in each one.

This would be a bit of a brain teaser to get set up initially, but once you get the CSS rules properly defined,
the rest should be fairly easy.

$thumbrows = 1+ round($num / $thumbcols);

for($r=1;$r<=$thumbrows;$r++) {
print '<tr>';
for($c=1;$c<=$thumbcols;$c++) {
print '<td bgcolor="#999999" align="center" valign="top">';

printf("<a href=\"%s?ids=%s\"><img src=></a><br>\n", $PHP_SELF, $r["ID"], $r["tn"]);
printf("<a href=\"%s?ids=%s\">%s</a><br>\n", $PHP_SELF, $r["ID"], $r["style"]);

else {

Problem is, this prints a very long list of imageless tn's.

Recently, my Windows (XP) help viewer has been displaying most CHM's as their source as opposed to rendered pages. For example, if I open the help for Window Media Player, I get a popup at the top of the viewer window that reads "This webpage might not be displayed properly. The content of the webpage does not match the type specified by the server. Click here for options..." In the options is a choice to "show restricted content." If I choose that, then I get a "File Download - Security Warning" window with buttons to open or save the page. Only after clicking "open" do I get to see the page in its correct form.

Now, if I open the help for ACDSee, and some other apps, I don't get that popup warning, but what I do get is just the XML code for the help pages. There's no option to view restricted content, etc.

Can anyone help? Please?

I suspect that this may be because the web server that I use does not support the appropriate extensions - but not sure on this.

Answer:Online form in html

You need a form handling script, which takes the information the form user inputs and turns it into an email which is then sent on to the address you specify in the handler script.Most people use either a CGI (Common Gateway Interface) or PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) script.Your choice could be governed by what the web host supports where the site is currently hosted. If you are allowed to run your own CGI scripts and you have a CGI bin you can obviously choose to use a CGI script. Where the web host supports PHP you can opt to use that instead.PHP scripts are usually easier to get your head around than CGI when you are first starting out. Most PHP scripts need no file permissions assigned to them, while pretty much all CGI scripts need permissions assigned to allow them to run using CHMOD on Apache servers, or by using the built in permissions tools in your FTP client.Here are some links for you to try for PHP form handlers:click hereclick hereclick hereAnd for CGI scripts: click hereI'd plump for PHP if your web host supports it. Instructions for use are on the various script sites and included when you download them.T

This is not a very secure way of sending data. If you are collecting data from potential customers then you have a legal responsibility to protect that data. I'm learning how to write websites in HTML and I just learned the <form> command and the different form elements you can use with it. When I set the command to MAILTO:[email protected] it opened up my computer's default mail program. I'm wondering if there's any way to have the information sent to my e-mail without using an external program.

Answer:HTML form programming

Yes, with the mailto in the href, the client's default email software is invoked, which
exposes the target email address.

The other choice is to send a message to the webserver where cgi programming forms parameters to the sendmail api on the webserver itself. This hides all the email addresses and allows extra data to be inserted in the message.

Instead of an href with mailto, the form action is used to point at your cgi program on the websever to process all the forms data.

How do I create a form with text fields and a submit button and enable it to store the data and email it to an address?

Answer:html submittable form

You use HTML to make the form and then use PHP or Perl or whatever other language that is capable of sending data to send it.
Example form:

<form method="POST" action="send_data.php">
Data1: <input type="text" name="data1" /><br />
Data2:<br /><textarea name="data2></textarea><br />
Data3: <input type="password" name="data3" /><br />
<input type="submit" value="Send" /><input type="reset" value="Reset" />

And the php function you need is mail();.

You can also search the forums for examples, here's one from a few months ago:

At first I tried a fillable PDF form but that did not work out as the only output I could get in IE and Chrome was in XML which my client does not want so I have reverted to PHP to handle the sending of the form and data. So, I have modified some code I found (which originally worked) but I am not getting the email to send. The url to the test bed is here so you can check it out and see that it does not create the email needed. I'm certain it is merely an error in the coding someplace (I think it is something to do with the error checking). I am not a PHP programmer and am requesting someone here to look at it and at least steer me in the right direction. I really need an answer fairly quick guys so please help out here. Here is the PHP code:

if(isset($_POST['email'])) {

$email_to = "[email protected]";
$email_subject = "test of halford submission php ver.";

function died($error) {
// your error code can go here
echo "We are very sorry, but there were error(s) found with the form you submitted. ";
echo "These errors appear below.<br /><br />";
echo $error."<br /><br />";
echo "Please go back and fix these errors.<br /><br />";

I have tried to fix my form for days now and am having nothing but bad luck. It worked until the website owner had me make a few small changes. I am not sure what I did that has wrecked it, but I have an idea about where in the code it happened. Can anyone take a look at the code for me and give me some idea what to do please? I am very much a beginner and do not know a lot.

Angels of Destiny Edited to add: it is on the request an angel page.

I need the form responses to go to [email protected] and I need the visitor to be directed to her thank you page (thankyou.html)

Thank you in advance

I wonder if you can help me with something. I have created a Form where there are 4 drop down boxes that collect data from 3 tables. How can I use that form to search for all the records matching one or more criteria chosen from those drop down boxes and display other fields on a report or a table?

The case is:

Table_Candidates (number of candidate, name, date of birth, address,…)
Table_Professional_Habilities (professional experience, years on the job…)
Table_College_Observations (College attended, degree, years, field of expertise…)

Form – Drop Down Boxes

Professional experience
College attended
Result Expected (How do I get this? In a table or a report, it doesn’t make a difference)

Number of candidate
Professional Experience
College Attended
Field of expertise
Age (how can I calculate this from date of birth?)

I've been advised to use Expression Builder. But the query isn't working because itreturns blank. Should I only select the fields on the Expression Builder (as an example, this is what it appears " [Forms]![New_Frm_Parameters_Selection]![Combobox17] "? Or should I make another expression?

Thank you very much.

Hi folks, I have a multipage form as part of an Excel development that requires checking the completion of fields on page 1 when a user enters page 2. All very straightforward I thought having done it many times before in word macros

eg If Multipage1(0).<variablename> = "" then
msgbox(<error message>)
multipage1.value = 0
End if

but no. The tab of page one is activated but the form controls displayed remain stubbornly those of page 2 and vb sicks up because it can't see <variablename>. The only reference I've found to this is that it was driving people mad and 'appeared to be a bug in XL2003'(sic) I'm using Office 2010.

Has anyone else had this problem, and more importantly found a cause/solution?

I'm sure this is an easy fix but I can't seem to find it. I just have a form, that will be a subform of another, that needs to display the results of a query.
The query is simple enough, just displays all fields of records that fall between specified dates. The query works great, but when I attach it to the form as its record source it doesn't display the data. I can see the correct amount of record selectors so I know its understanding the query but its as if all fields are hidden!

I have also tried building a query to the forms record source that was simply Select query.* From query. Oddly I have had this working before but I had to specify every field. What I mean is:

Select title From query
Select type From query
Select date From query ...

And so on for all the fields but this seems foolish, can anyone think of what I may be doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
Edit, forgot to mention I also tried the foolish solution that I mentioned above and it didn't work so its definitely some issue that I'm not seeing, some property that's probably not appropriately set

Hi people

I need to login everytime for connecting to the Internet using html form method.
I have 24/7 cable/LAN connection to the Internet.

I'm sick and tired of logging-in over and over again and decided to write a program that would do it for me at every system-start.

I know we can use Inet control in visual studio to download the webpage and manipulate it to auto fill the form but no clue how to submit it.

Can you help me? (If you can come up with an alternate solution it would be fairly nice.)

Good day!

There is a bug that completely changes the tables I have set and it only happens in IE. Pics are attached that show what is supposed to happen (in Chrome and FF) and what happens in IE. Please Help me! I can provide code if needed, but I have narrowed down the problem to something with the <form> tag. The form tag is inside a table which is inside another table.

Answer:Internet Explorer HTML <form> tag bug

Nevermind, I fixed it. The problem was the <form>. I do not know why it did this but that was the tag that screwed everything up. My fix was to use <select> without using the <form>. It is working now!

Could somebody please take a look at the HTML for the form> tag on click here and confirm it is coded OK. The form submit fails with an 'Internal Server Error'. The script is definitely present within cgi-bin and CHMOD = 755.If this looks OK, I would like to follow this up with a check on the parameter coding within the script itself. But first things first!The current syntax of the Form> tag has evolved from that generated automatically by Dreamweaver MX which gave persistent HTTP 405 errors - so things have moved on a little!p.s. if you decide to try the form there are numerous mandatory fields, so just insert any old rubbish to complete it!Many thanks, M - HTML form - fails

The address to the formmail script should be cgi-bin/ and not the full URL of the siteThe form should have the following fields: <form name="form1" method="post" action="/cgi-bin/"> <p> <input type="hidden" name="subject" value="Title of the email subject" /> <input type="hidden" name="redirect" value="Full URL including http of the 'thank you for contacting us' page" /> <input type="hidden" name="recipient" value="email address of the recipient" />You can specifiy most of this in the script if you know how, but the above is probably the simplest method for getting it to work.The Formmail script itself should have this for its first line [sometimes differs from one host to another]:#!/usr/bin/perlThe next unxommented line is the address of your email program script on the server:$mailprog = '/usr/sbin/sendmail -oi -t';@referers = ('your site URL without www','your site URL with www','you can use localhost as well if required');@recipients = &fill_recipients('your site URL without the www','again you can leave localhost in if required');And that should get you running.You can alter and configure lots more but normally you don't need to and the above will take pretty much any form field type you could mention and process it correctly when passed through the script.One last thing: you may want to rename to something else like or whatever, then change the reference in the form to point to that file in your cg... You might be able to do <a href="smb://hostname" rel="nofollow">link</a>like this, but I don't know how portable that is across browsers (it works in Firefox but apparently not in Chrome). If you're running the web server on the same computer that is hosting the files, you should just point the server's www root to the directory you want to share from.

Basically it has an input box for a date and a submit button, the site then sends you to the relevant page.

My question is:
How do I duplicate what the <FORM> tags do on that site in my VB program?
In other words how do I send a date (or any data) to the targeted script via VB?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

See the webform located at which I created only to use the generated HTML from the browser source.

Can you view the source, look at the HTML and help me to craft the following:
Additional button [Calculate] to be located to the right of "Add 3% Electronic Payment Convenience Fee" and when clicked will calculate the product of "Amount" and "Add 3% Electronic Payment Convenience Fee" and place the newly calculated value in "Calculated Total". Database fields exist for all form fields and are named as seen in the source. I am assuming javascript is necessary to accomplish this. My javascript skill is very limited. I am also assuming there is no reason the javascript will not work if placed inline on the same page. "Add 3% Electronic Payment Convenience Fee" field and "Calculated Total" field should not be editable by user.

This CMS system allows HTML to be used where needed. I can copy the HTML from this type of form (which is built using a site tool) and place the HTML into a new site page, edit the HTML so as to reformat the layout of the table, customize attributes such as placeholder text and other changes.

I hope this is enough information. If not, feel free to ask.

Answer:HTML & javascript form field value calculation

Hello All...

Another thought I guess is that javascript could be disabled in the user's browser. The more I consider this, the more I believe that I could do without storing the calculated total especially knowing that results could be skewed based on user's browser. Amount, Item Name and multiplier used in Fee are required. Others are not. However, I still wish to display the calculated total if the user wishes to click the [Calculate] button to see it.

Make sense?

I'm sure it's simple, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I'm trying to redirect a user to another page when they click "Send" (submit) with only HTML (I'm not exactly interested in java or anything else for the moment). I read about using a "hidden" input with a value of the URL, but I don't know where to put it. I tried before and after the "submit" input (the logical place), with no luck (does it matter where I put it?). Does it work only if I have an "action" (in this case "mailto:"), or would it still work if I left the action attribute blank? Or do I have the whole process wrong?

Answer:(HTML) redirecting to another page after form submission

well if you have a form
<form name="form1" method="post" action="yourpage.html">

<input type="submit" value="submit" />

then when they click the button, it will send them to "yourpage.html"
is that what you're looking for?

I have linked my calendar 11.0 to my text boxes, and then to my query criteria. Everything works, except after I click on the Calendar to choose my end date and it shows up on the text box thats linked to the query, the information from the query doesn't automatically show up on my Form in other text box I have linked for results (d*count funtion, etc).

BUT, when I go into design view, and then back to form view, the Data is Updated!

So I am very confused as to how to set it up after I input the end date to automatically update instead of hitting the design view and back to form view for it to update.

Not sure if a "refresh" or "after update" function needs to be in place? I hope I explained it correctly! Thank you!

Sorry if this isnt the correct forum, I'm not really sure where this would really fit-

I'm a student co-op at a company I just started working for this summer. I have this assignment right now where I'm currently working on a website and my goal is to have it displayed on a TV in my office breakroom. It's like a timeline thing of project due dates, stuff like that for everyone to see. My manager didn't have real clear instructions, giving me some freedom in how I want to do things, but I also really don't know how to do the TV implementation part.

My manager suggested to me perhaps displaying the website within a Picture in Picture window in a corner of the TV while the regular CNN feed we have continues playing. But if this isn't possible, just putting it up on the TV would be fine.

I have no experience doing something like this, but one thing I'd like to be able to do is update the website from the computer in my cubicle and have the changes appear on the TV. Perhaps this can be accomplished if the TV can be connected to the office server, and when I update the page and save it on the server, the TV can reload the page automatically with the changes. I really don't know though, any ideas on how to do this would be welcome. I realize using a graphics card with TV-out could turn the TV into another monitor, but the TV is attached to the ceiling, and above a refrigerator. Maybe I could put a laptop on the fridge, bu... Answer:Displaying website on TV

Using a video card with a tv-out connector (RCA plug) you specify the TV as a second monitor so what ever is displayed on the PC/laptop's screen goes out to the TV also. Many video cards today have RCA jack on them. If you want it to update you'll need some code in the webpage to refresh every so often to pick up any changes you've made to the schedule.
So you could run a cable from whichever system your using to display the info (trust me wireless video tranmitter generally suck & need a line of sight) so cable to it or run a laptop on the fridge and just set up remote control or put the webpage on a server that both you & the display pc can access and update that file - then the next refresh interval on the web page the changes will show.

Hi all,

there is one website that does not display properly on one of my laptops. When I say not properly it means that i do not see some of the images, menus and links on the webpage.

On other laptops/desktops the website is displayed perfectly.
All other websites are displayed without any problem on the said laptop. The faulty Laptop runs Windows 7.

Things I have tried so far:
1. Tried different browsers (IE and Chrome). Website does not display properly on both of them.
2. Updated browsers.
3. Reinstalled browsers.
4. Installed latest Windows Updates.
5. Ran Anti Virus and Malware Softwares. Nothing found.
6. Ran CCleaner and deleted all Caches and other stuff that CCleaner finds.

None of these things helped. Can you suggest further troubleshooting methods? How can I pinpoint the problem?

I have free web space on my ISP ( successfully uploaded it once and needed to update some new info, now when I've tried looking at my site on my & another computer it shows 'no authourised access' etc error 403.My home page is correctly named 'index.html' Madasafish say it's on there server but I can't retrieve it. I've clicked on 'properties' to display the source of the code and it's the same on both computers res://c\\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/http_403.htm#click here How can this be? I thought that this 'property' would only show on my computer? I'm at a loss. It's obvious that the path needs amending but how? I can't find where the above path is being held? Search can't find it so I can't edit it? Any help would be very much appreicated or am I just being stupid here?CheersBarry Skeels (f1fighter) [email protected]

Answer:My website is is not displaying on line

You could try renaming the .html to .htmAs regards the source of the page you see, whenever IE gets an error code returned eg. 404 - page not found or 403 - it looks that code up in shdoclc.dll and generates a page to make the error more readable. For this reason you will see the same error on any pc.

I am trying to access a specific website. I have no problem getting on the site (have to logon with ID & password) but the site is supposed to have an interactive calendar. The calendar does not even appear on my screen. I am using IE11, with Win7.

I also tried installing Firefox and get the same issue.

When I go to the site via a different computer (Win 7 with IE8) it works fine!
Is this a Flash player issue? Java? what else could run this calendar?

Answer:Website not displaying properly

It could be a flash or java issue. Do you have both installed and enabled for IE11? The other issue which is more likely is that the site isn't coded for IE11. Another thing to try is to add it as a trusted site or use compatibility mode. If it works well with another browser I would just use the other browser.

I'm not sure how this happens, but for some reason IE7 is not displaying the website icons that should appear next to the url, all I am getting is the general windows icon:

next to the websites name. No custom website icons are displayed next to the url, next to the websites in my favorites or in the tabs on the IE toolbar.

I've been searching around for a solution, but I can't seen to find one. Thanks for any help

Hello everyone. New user here, really need help with this issue I'm having. At first I thought it was just an issue with Chrome, but then I started using Internet Explorer and am having the same issue. 50% of the time when I load a website, it either won't load at all or will load all messed up with no images and just black text and buttons, usually all stuck to the left side. Also, sometimes the site will load properly except all the images are not loading. This even happens in iTunes when viewing the iTunes store or account page. Any browser is susceptible so I figured it was an issue with a Windows Update. (I just bought this laptop so I didn't have time to update yet) However, even after all windows updates were installed the issue was still present. I have no idea what the problem is. I'm going mad here, please help! Thanks

Good evening guys, for a reason i do not know, a website will not load correctly. I will put a screen shot in this post for you to see. All the text is on the left hand side and the images and links ate not there. I am on firefox 13 but the problem is still there when i try it in safe mode firefox and in a new profile on firefox. I have turned off adblocker. It is also the same on IE and chrome. I have created a new profile in windows 7 but that also does not fix it. The site also works correctly on my iphone and my kids notebooks. I have ran both Malwarebyes and spybot with nothing coming back. I really do not know what else i can do to fix this. The site is

I suggest checking your JavaScript settings in your browsers - this is the sort of display that I would expect with JavaScript disabled.

Enabling and disabling JavaScript in Web browsers

I can't honestly say that I have seen JavaScript disabled across multiple browsers, however I guess it is conceivable that some security software - such as Norton's - turned it off across the board when finding a "Javascript exe" or similar threat.

This is still a long short, very strange a lotto ticket, your luck may be about to change!

I am working on a user form in Microsoft Word 2002 and have been having problems saving it as an html format. I am currently trying to save it as "Filtered HTML" using VBA. I have the same problems however even if I try to save it as unfiltered HTML.

Anyway, it is a protected form with various types of form fields. When saving as html, the text box form fields show up fine, but the other types of fields (drop-down and check-box) do not show up.

If anyone has any ideas about why this is occuring or possible solutions, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks!!

Answer:Word 2002 - problems saving form fields as html format

If you are saving it as a webpage, then why do you not make it into a web driven form.

I have uploaded my site Created with Dreamweaver4 and everything seems ok.However the re-direction works ok now, but my webspace URL at the bottom right on the task bar where it shows 'done' at the bottom of the browser appears, instead of my domain, do I change it so that it shows my domain name, instead I have a pop up window on the site to enlage a picture,this also shows the path of the picture. i.e click here and not the name of the window I gave it in behaviours. Again when I click on view source it shows just one line eg.html> head> title> /title> /head> frameset> frame src="click here" name=""> /frameset> /html>Can I change this also, as it gives the full path to my ftp:webspace. M

Answer:Website Address Displaying path to ISP

I just used as an example.In dreamweaver when you use the behaviours panel it allows you to click on a thumbnail and assign a behaviour. In my case the behaviour is to open a pop up browser window that can be resized have navigation, resize handles, most everything you require to show the resulting picture in that window.Part of the instructions is to give the window its own name when it pops up. In my case I put picture001, therefore I expected the pop-up window when displayed in the browser, to show colour001.It does not do this it displays the ftp path to my picture on the site, eg htp//www-mysite.dsl.pipex.netThe task bar also shows the full ftp path to my website, i.e it is not masked, although when I instructed the web forwarding to display my domain I checked the masking instruction which I presumed , would hide the path to my web space.Likewise when clicking on view source the path to my webspace at pipex is displayed. e.g.[I have replace period with dash to avoid displaying (click-Here)]_html><head><title>reality-com</title></head><frameset><frame src="click here" name="reality-com"></frameset></html>

When I'm at work certain websites contain a lot of information, pictures, links etc. But when I open the same website on my home network a lot of the information, pictures, etc do not appear.
I have searched around and found someone with a similar issue but this was regarding his own website and that was resolved by running the site in compatibility mode. This just made more content to disappear.
I am running IE9 and unfortunately i cannot use Chrome, Firefox or any alike as it is a work laptop and am unable to download/install anything. But as IE9 displays the content at work i doubt its a browser issue.
I am also running windows 7.
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Answer:Website displaying less content on different network.

Try posting the screenshots from work & from home; this would help others to understand your concerns.
It can either be of two reasons, Location/Network/ISP setting differences at home & at work or browser compatibility issues.

Although IE is not my default browser, I need it to test when maintaining webpages for the sites I manage.
IE8 in my WindowXP admin account, displays Youtube videos embedded on my site perfectly. IE8 in my limited account does not - just leaves a white block. All other browsers display correctly irrespective of whether I work in admin or limited. This happened when I upgraded from 7 to 8 (the last upgrade, I understand, that XP will take.)
I've not changed from the IE8 default settings in either account.
No doubt I'm missing something dead simple but can someone please put me on the right road.

Answer:IE8 not displaying website video content

This sounds like an add-on problem with IE that is interfering with wmv links. The first thing I?d suggest you do is reset the IE defaults. Click on ?Tools? and then Internet Options then click on the Advanced tab. Locate the Reset Internet Explorer Settings heading and then click the ?Reset..? button. Navigate to a site with video links and try clicking one of the links. If it works correctly we are done.
If links still aren?t working we need to try IE without Add-ons. Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click Internet Explorer no Add-ons. Again, try a video link. If it loads correctly we will need to determine which add-on is causing the problem. Restart IE normally, then click ?Tools? on the Menu Bar and select Manage Add-ons. Disable all of your add-ons and then re-enable them 1 at a time until you locate the add-on causing your problem.

Starting sometime yesterday, one of the computers on our network's mozilla firefox browser decided that on a select few sites it would no longer display images. Instead it just displays blank space in their place. I tried deleting the cache.. but there is still a problem. It should be noted that the computer is connected to the internet through a linksys router via wireless-G connection. Most sites work just fine, its only that doesnt. Has anyone else had this issue with Firefox?

Any suggestions? Fixes? Thanks.
