Firmware for a BenQ CD-RW

Question: Firmware for a BenQ CD-RW

Hi, I just got a CD-RW from BenQ. It is a CRW5224P model. On the back of the box it came in, it says "An easy firmware download from our www.BenQ/com website enables you to easily upgrade your unit."

http://www.benq.com/drivers/storage_drivers.html

When I click on the 5224P to get the firmware, nothing happens. My Browser acts like its is loading the page for about 10 minutes, then it tells me the page can not be displayed.

Anyone else have problems like this with BenQ?
How important is it for me to get this update?

Thank you!

Preferred Solution: Firmware for a BenQ CD-RW

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Same problem here. I think its a site issue.

I recently replaced my CD drive with a drive that was exactly the same (not new - we bought it with the one that had just stopped working, as a spare). It's a couple of years old so I assumed I would need to update the firmware. The drive was working, but very very slowly.

So I checked what firmware version I had and tried to get the latest one from the BENQ website. What I had was B7S9. That didn't seem to be on the website so I googled it and found out it was only used in Asia (or something). This is where the confusion came in. I then found you could 'flash' to a different firmware. So I read the instructions etc., so I knew what I was doing and flashed to the latest one on the BENQ website which was B7W9. I tried putting a game disc in, and it worked, but a music CD didn't. Now, I've gone through various different firmwares and they all do different things but none of them make my cd drive work fully... after reading loads of threads/posts on that cdfreaks forum I'm just more confused and have no idea which firmware I'm meant to be using and how to even install it properly.

Can I PLEASE just get some clear instructions on how to do this. I have a feeling I've pretty much ruined my current CD drive from doing all the different things I've read. This really is ridiculous... it shouldn't be so difficult.

Thanks

Answer:BENQ 1620 firmware trouble

Your right, this should not be so difficult, so I will help you for next time; Never update your firmware unless you need to.

If the firmware update does not specifically address an issue your having, then its a waste of time. I have never had to update a CD drive firmware in my life. Case in point, the BS9 firmware as far as i can find the "S" firmware is good for cheap dvd media, and that is being used a lot in China. So, you would not need this and I suspect it could actually cause problems for you.

That said, see if you can revert to the original firmware, do that. If the drive seems slow, it might not be the drive but the CD or the PC itself communicating. Something out of your hands. If a firmware addresses a speed issue, or a problem with the CD drive and something specific to your computer, then use that. Otherwise, I can't say it enough, if it does not address your issue, do not update the firmware.

I am trying to coble together two non-working Zen Xtras into a working one. I receive a message: "Firmware Problem," and am instructed to reload the firmware. When I attempt to do so, the firware does not recognize the device although the device shows up in My Computer as a Zen Xtra. I have reloaded the drivers. When I attempt to reinstall the firmware, it states that it cannot detect the device and please connect it now. How do I resolve this lack of recognition?

Is it possible to replace a routers firmware w/ something other than the original firmware to update from wep encryption to wpa encryption and all the other features that these new routers have? If so is this hard to do and is there a big risk or really screwing things up?

Answer:Replacing router Firmware w/ third party Firmware?

nope its easy, and as long as your smart and follow the few basic guildlines very unlikely chance of damaging the router. Biggest suggestion is never do the update via wireless as if you loss signal or what not could loose a bit of data for the router update.

Question: BenQ LCD??

I'm looking at getting a new LCD screen. I have found one from BenQ, its a 17" FP737. Its got 450:1 contrast, 260cd/m brightness, and 16ms response time. Is this a good monitor?? Does anyone have any experience with BenQ? I'm also thinking of paying for their "zero dead pixel" guarantee. its an extra $17 CAD. Do you think its worth it?

Answer:BenQ LCD??

If the monitor is being shipped to you then I think the price isn't too bad, since a lot of places only take a return for seven or more dead pixels.

I am looking at purchasing the above monitor and would prefer to buy one from a store rather than on line, especially as Dabs and Watford Electronics do not currently have them in stock.I have looked at the Benq web site but the links seem to be for companies dealing with corporate clients rather than retail.I would appreciate it if someone could let me know whether there are any stores in the East/Central London area that may sell this monitor or whether there are any alternative on line suppliers. Many thanks.

i have a 'benq' cd/rw, it has worked fine with my old memorex cdrs, but i recently purchased a spindle of verbatim CDRs. They burn fine, but then when i try to READ them, no luck, it just appears as one long (500meg in some cases) audio track, not even recovery software reads it.
Could it just be those cdrs with my cd/rw or the cdrs? its happened with 2 so far..... :-S

Answer:Benq cd/rw verbatim CDR

sorry that is how some burners are, if you find a brand stay with it.

If you have the DW1600 then you need to get a Firmware update for the drive to write to minus DVD media. It upgrade it to the DW1620 and allow for both types of DVD's to be used.

Question: BENQ DVD-ROM 1650T

I have just fitted a new DVD-ROM as above, but I have severe problems.I also have a CD-RW Sony CRS225E which has also gone haywire. The symptoms are. Both light drives can read CDsThe DVD-ROM can't read DVD proprietary films, and the CD-RW cant write to disc.On boot up the CD-RW does not show, nor does it show in the bios. The DVD-ROM however does both. There is no firmware update for the DVD-ROM. I have "removed" the drives from the system hardware properties and rebooted with no result.I have reinstalled WIN 98SE and the Apps for the DVD, both WinDVD4 and a trial app of WINDVD6, both with no result. The DVD-ROM is on the Secondary IDE channel Master and the CD-RW on the Slave of the same channel. The master off course is on the "end" of the IDE cable and the CD-ROM on the intermediate one.Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Question: BENQ Monitor

-My monitor is not working. I turn on my system, I see it is on and shows me the screen just like for a sec and goes away and all I see is a blank screen.

I tried a different monitor and it works fine. First I taught it is the video card but that doesn't seem to be the case..

My question for you is...Is there anything I can do to fix my BENQ monitor? My warranty expired about a month ago...any tips, or suggestion is greatly appreciated...

Answer:BENQ Monitor

i dont think there is much to do if your warrenty is expired. You can call up benq and ask for advice. or if you know what your doing you can go in and look for a problem yourself but to meit looks like a faulty monitor.

Question: Viewsonic or BenQ

I was looking to go from my 22 inch NEC FE2111(too big) to an LCD monitor; However, I can't seem to make up my mind. I've narrowed it down to the Viewsonic VP191B ($449.00 at newegg) or the BenQ FP91G+ ($329.00 at newegg). I've heard nothing but good things about BenQ, and I already know the excellent reputation of Viewsonic. I do alot of gaming so that's an important factor. I know CRT has better visual quality than LCD, but I need to conserve space, so any input on these 2 monitors would be appreciated.

Answer:Viewsonic or BenQ

We use Viewsonic 17'' at my work & they r ok. Although I have a BENQ at home & I find it way better than the others. I had an LG one b4 & seriously the BENQ not only looks better but was cheaper too! they r owned by Acer or some other joint big organisation & are not crappy at all. others have said that because they haven't heard of them then they must be crap, but you just have to research them b4 judging.

Either r good ... but yeah thats just my opinion :grinthumb

Ohh, and please. Don't recommend any other monitors okay?

"Benq GL2460" or "AOC E2450SWHK"?

and why.

Answer:Benq vs AOC (Monitor)

The best thing to do, if at all possible, is to compare your choice of monitors in action displaying the same images and then make your decision based on what you see.

Just wondering if anyone knows wat the problem could be and how i can solve it thanks in advance for the help provided

Answer:Benq Tft Fp91g+

im not sure wut the problem is. the only time my monitor doesnt recieve a signal is when the comp is off. so u have two things to try.

1. the cable going into ur monitor- check it and make sure it worx fine use another cable and see if the problem continues

2. hook the monitor to another comp- if the problem continues its ur monitor, if it doesnt then u have a problem with ur graphics card.

do it in that order, if there is a prob wit ur graphics card then go to someone like geek squad at bestbuy. they really know wut they are talkin about

You might try configuring your BenQ as master, or even make sure it's jumpered as you think it is.
I would set DVD writer as master anyway.

ok it does sound like a case of overheating....as a temporary measure you could get a bag
of frozen peas and rest the system on that - that always works ( yes its a crude solution but it only a stop gap)

For a more permanent solution, you will really have to open it up an apply some thermal paste to the heatsink inside....check the base their might be a direct door to their heatsink...so time to get that screwdriver out...

Did you mean driver, or drive?
If you are running XP, I'd delete the driver(in device manager), reboot, and let windows detect new hardware, and install new driver automatically. Don't know if Windows 98 will do this, but XP will. Also check to make sure you have the latest firmware for the drive.
If all else fails, contact BenQ. They should be able to help............
Good luck!

Hi,

I just got a brand new BenQ 20 Inch LCD monitor. It worked fine for 2 weeks then it started flashing red, and even on occasion, the whole picture on the monitor goes red.

I have checked my cables for bent pins and followed everything on the troubleshooting CD.

Any tips or suggestions before i go and complain to the store i got it from?

Answer:BenQ LCD Monitor Keeps flashing red :(

First I would try a different cable, if no change try the Monitor on a different PC, if it still doesn't work properly I would take it back.

I have a Benq scanner, S2W 3300OU, which won't work with Vista. The installation disk drivers do not include vista and there is no mention of Vista on Benq's website so I can't update the drivers there.Does anyone know where I can download an alternative driver?

Answer:driver for Benq scanner?

It seems that Benq are not doing Vista drivers for anything other the latest hardware , and as this scanner has been out for a long time ( since Win98se ) I would assume there aren't any drivers for it , sorry !! Unless this is a badged clone from a different maker , who MAY have Vista drivers ( worth a Google ? ) I don't think it will work . Ashley

It's an S2W3300U and my OS is Vista, but I had the scanner with my previous PC so it's probably 5 years old.Until a few weeks ago it was OK but it's started behaving oddly - assumes I want to save everything I scan as a JPEG, even when I?ve set it to text; and the scans are illegible - difficult to describe but entire background is grey dots so the text (or whatever I scan)is kind of reversed , like looking at a negative. When I switched to Vista a year ago there were no Benq drivers available for that OS so I use a driver from Hamrick. WAs fine until recently. Is the current problem likely to be the driver or the scanner itself? It was cheap , so doesn?t owe me anything; I?m wondering whether to ditch the scanner and buy new or try to fix the problem.

Answer:problem with a Benq scanner

Try removing and reinstalling your driver.

I think the problem I have is with the benq 1655 Bcdb firmware. I can burn movies fine with the Verbatim 1x-4x dvd-r I bought burning them at 4x. The problem I have is that there are other things that I need to burn at a slower speed like 1x but that option is not there, 4x is the only option given. Its not just nero either so I guess its a problem with the Bcdb firmware which is the latest firmware for the drive. Is there any way to fix this by hacking the firmware or something or does anybody no any good dvd-rs that will burn at all speeds including 1x with this burner.

Answer:problem with benq burner.

I dont think there is a way to "hack" it. And im not sure that there is burners that burn at 1x speed, i could be wrong tho.

I have bought a CDRW for an old Tiny machine, but the IDE plug is too long to fit the new socket. Is there an adapter which will help, please?

Answer:IDE connection for BenQ CDRW?

More detail please. The harddrive is connected to the IDE socket and there usually two. The IDE cable has usuallyspare connector unless your existing CD drive is on the same line. In which case it is possibly best toset the new drive jumper to slave and replace old CD with the new one.If you intend to hsve it as a second set the jumper to Masteraand connect with a new cable to the unoccupied IDE socket, which is ajacent to the one feefdng the HDD and CD

Hello all!

Im new to this forum so first I want to say Hi! Im Jimmy. =)

Okay, I got this screen last winter as a christmas present and I do like it very much but since I play CS in 800x600(I dunno what that res is called) I want to have black bars.

I know the option "Display Mode" on my screen but that just makes it to small(it do the same res in every resolution I use). I cant find any drivers aswell for my screen, but maybe it doesnt exist =)

But as I said, I want blackbars when I play CS in 800x600 since it is not a widescreen res.
I use VGA and not dvi so that may be a problem but is it possible to get blackbars anyways?

Cya around! =) /Jimmy

Edit: Forgot to say that I have vga from the screen with a dvi adapter to my graphiccard.

Question: 22" Benq Monitor

Hi all,

This is my first post here so would like to say hello to everyone .
Ok to kick this off i have a very frustrating monitor problem. What happens is if for some reason when my pc gets shut down, or restarted my monitor does not seem to have a display and comes up with "no signal". Sometimes when i turn my pc off at the power button, and also my monitor and try to re-boot both my monitor may work at times but only like 1 out of 5 attempts at doing so. As you can imagine its becoming very frustrating. We run an at home business so we need/use the internet as much as possible so i guess i am here looking for a cheaper fix, rather then go out and buy a new monitor. This monitor is not under warranty anymore, and is about 2 years old. Any help/suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you

Does anyone know the difference other than refresh rate. There are a lot of mixed messages some sites claim 16.7 m colors other sites claiming 6bit color depth. Does anyone know if the z and t models are 6 or 8 bit panels? Thanks

Their home page claims 16.7m colors. Since they are gaming TN panels I doubt they are full 8bit though.

I am experiencing an intermittent problem with a BenQ FP791 flat panel monitor. Sometimes during start-up or a reboot, the ?No Signal Detected? message appears on the screen, which then goes blank. The same problem always occurs after entering standby mode.I have emailed BenQ about this problem and to their credit, they have been quite responsive. I do however have an issue with them because they have suggested that I try the monitor on a different machine and to make sure that I have all the latest Windows XP updates.Firstly, I do not have access to another computer with a DVI connection (I am currently using this). Secondly I don?t understand how this can be a Windows problem for the following reason. If I unplug the monitor from the mains, reconnect it and then switch it on, the picture is always displayed. If the problem was with the PC then surely doing this would not resolve the problem. Furthermore, if it is an issue with Windows, the problem would not occur when the PC is first switched on re rebooted.I intend to go back to BenQ on this but before doing so, I would like t know whether my theory is correct. Many thanks.

Has anyone had any experience of the Benq RF Cordless Air Touch Elite keyboard and mouse?Brought one last week after reading positive reviews on Amazon that suggested for £9.99 this was a bargain. When delivered, the receiver and the mouse would not talk to each other. Fair play to Benq - within 48 hours they had delivered a new set. Problem now is that the new mouse works fine but now the new keyboard and receiver will not talk to each other!!!!!I have tried installing on more than one PC, changed the batteries all to no avail. Am I doomed to spend the next couple of weeks sending them back and forth to Benq until they send me a set where the receiver speaks to both the mouse and the keyboard or does anyone have any bright ideas?

Answer:Benq wireless keyboard

My cordless mouse and keyboard has a small hole on the underside which you depress using a small pointed scewdriver and then press the button on the receiver unit to enable them to talk to thereceiver.i have to do this with both mouse and keyboard to make them work.hope this is of some help, mine is a packard bell but you may have simular type of activation.

Hey,

I just finished building my PC and currently am using it with my 42 inch TV.
However, I would like to move to a proper monitor on my desk.
I'm thinking of getting 2 monitors.
I live in Japan, and I can get this monitor at 144 USD each.

The main need is for gaming, everything from the Witcher 3 to Skyrim to DOTA 2 and future games.

Here are my PC's specs:
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/cflo/saved/KPZdnQ

Here is the monitor in question:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014377

If you could answer any of the following questions or have any insight on the monitor, I would be grateful.

Is the BenQ GL2460HM a good gaming monitor?
Is it too high/ too low quality for my GPU?
Is it a good monitor for dual display?

Is there another monitor you think makes better use of my PC's specs/ meets my needs?
I'm not wanting to spend much more than 300 USD, I may opt to buy a single monitor which is of higher quality.

Thank you

Answer:Is the BenQ GL2460HM a good fit for my PC?

Honestly I do not see a issue with you using that monitor. It should actually preform perfectly with your computer.

Question: BenQ XL2720Z Issue

Hey guys,

Tyson here, just wondering if you can help me out with a "little" problem.

I purchased a XL2720Z Gaming monitor which should be able to run at 120-144hz (I am using a DVI-D cable) and in settings it only lets me choose up to 60hz.

I am trying to change the framerate in AMD catalyst control centre but I am not sure how and when I tried it changed the resolution to 720P (I need to use 1080P).

Anyway I am clueless as to what to do, by the way I am running Windows 7, using a 7970 and all of my drivers are up to date.

Thanks guys.

Hello, guys, I'm having an issue with my BenQ XL2730Z monitor, I bought it a brand new online and had it for a year, I noticed something weird about it for 2 weeks, every time I turned it on it was blinking for a little bit and then it quit. So about 3 days ago it just quit working for good. Every time I turn it on screen gets white, then gray and then blue and shuts off. No matter what I connect to it the screen still stay the same.Monitor was used ONLY for console gaming such us PS4 and XBOX ONE, Likely I had protection plan and it was still under the warranty so I will get reimbursed, but I'm not sure if I could just take it somewhere to fix it or buy a new one, Went to Best Buy and talked to someone from a geek squad and they told me I better off buying a new one and this one is not worth fixing. Upon assembling, I pushed the BenQ LCD (model Q7T4) onto the monitor-stand.

Now it's leaning forward drunkenly & don't know how to swivel it backward. I'm afraid to force it at risk of breakage.

I also tried detaching the LCD from the base but it doesn't budge.

Is this irreversible? I don't know why they design things so non-intuitively.

Here's the pic:

Answer:SOS - BenQ LCD leaning forward - how to fix?

Most LCD's I hae seen where you attach the base yourself its 4 prongs the "click" into the base. is it leaning at such an angle that it may have been placed in the base backwards? If thats the case can you lay it down LCD side down on something soft and use a flathead screwdriver to pop out the 4 prongs that snapped into the base to begin with?

I had a user who assembled theirs wrong and this was how I fixed thiers.

Glad to see you've made the decision. Unfortunately, there's always going to be something better that comes along in a week or two; that's just how the PC market is I'm afraid. That monitor is pretty damn nice though, you shouldn't need anything more at the moment. Just make sure you have a video card that can handle the max resolution and you'll be set. I am not sure if this is a hardware compatability or software problem, but I have been having intermittent display problems when running Rise of Nations.

I have a P4 1.6 with 512mb RAM and a 128mb Radeon Excalibur 9200, running XP with SP1.

I have just bought a 17" Benq FP971 LCD monitor which I run through a DVI cable.

Rise of Nations ran without any problems on my old 17" CRT. Since installing the Benq, when I run RoN the screen intermittently blanks out for a second or two before coming back on.

Sometimes when it blanks for a coouple of seconds, a 'No Signal Detected' message appears briefly before coming back on.

I have tried closing down all resident programs (eg. antivirus, firewall, etc) which seems to have no effect.

Sometimes the game runs perfectly with a couple of hours play with no blanking, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it.

Well you probably all remember my thread on LCD or CRT?......Well I went against all you hardcore gamers and went with an LCD. I purchased a Benq FP91v+ from Staples: they said I could use it and return it if I didnt like it within 2 weeks........so.............I've still been researching because as nice as this monitor is, there are flaws.
PROS:
-Gaming is aewsome with a 6ms gray to gray response. No ghosting etc.
- I'm running at native 1280x1024 @ 75 hz.
- The vivid colors and sharpness is very impressive especially explosions, ie in HL2.
- Text is ok in native but poor in any other resolution.
- The glossy screen makes pictures look much more clear and vivid, and colors brighter then non-gloss. This was the main reason I bought it.

CONS:
-Auto-adjust feature only works with analog cable not DVI, (which I am currently using)
-Although I thought the viewing angles were great in the store I'm not as impressed at home. The screen adds a brownish shade as soon as you move off centre.
-Movies aren't as crisp as I would've expected, esp human skin tones.
-The controls are very difficult to use.

With that said and continued research I have narrowed my search to now 3 monitors:

Viewsonics VX924 4ms is out because some reviews said its not that great. It should improve with later releases.

#1// The one that got a great review compared to my current monitor is the Viewsonic VP191b, now with 8ms response. It uses a bette... Read more

Hello everyone...

Here is my problem with the BENQ DW1620:
I was burning music cds when all of a sudden, when I just inserted a CD-R in, my DVD drive stopped. It just started spinning for half a second then stopped. It repeated 3 or 4 times then stopped. My computer didn't detect any CD in the DVD drive.
Luckily, I bought the Service Plan from Future shop so I can return the product any time I want.
They gave me a new one it worked fine (I put a normal Music CD in) until I put a blank CD-R in then the same thing happened.
Thinking the problem was that particular type of CD-R (Since the problem occured after I put the exact same type of CD-R in the first time), I returned it again and they gave me a new one but the same problem happened when I put any CD/DVD in.

Since the Hardware Problem is eliminated, does any of you know a known issue or have a solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Fred

Currently I'm playing the game on a BenQ XL2420T with a resolution of 1024 x 768 running at 120Hz. I'd really like to play on 1280 x 960 at 120Hz however, I occasionally get a "Out of Range" message and my monitor goes black. From my understanding, this means that my monitor cannot support that resolution. Recently, I emailed BenQ about this problem and the engineer tells me the same. However, when I go into my ATI video settings, it shows me that a desktop resolution of 1280 x 960 at 120Hz is a viable resolution (no italics on 120Hz to indicate it is not recommended). As such, I am quite puzzled as to why this resolution does not work, could someone give me some ideas about why this is so?

Thanks alot!

Answer:BenQ XL2420T allowed resolutions

This is strange, I'm fairly sure that monitor should be able to run 1080p at 120Hz.

What GPU do you have, and what sort of cable are you using to connect it to the monitor?

BenQ recently debuted its 2ms 19-inch LCD monitor (FP93* X), which it claims to be the world’s fastest monitor. The monitor will be first introduced to the Asia Pacific region next month, targeting the gamer market. However, the retail price for the model has not been determined.

To decrease its response time, the monitor employs BenQ’s original Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) technology that accelerates the twisting speed of liquid crystal by increasing the voltage, which helps the monitor increase its performance to a similar level of a CRT monitor.

The 19-inch monitor also features a resolution of 1280×1024 (SXGA), D-Sub and DVI inputs, a contrast ratio of 700:1 and a brightness of 300cd/m2.

Hi,

I have been using BenQ FP71E+ monitor for more than 2 yrs now. Of late, I am experiencing this problem that the monitor shows a black screen on switching on the power. It does show the BenQ image for 2 seconds but after that, a black screen comes up. Sometimes, removing and replugging the VGA cable into the CPU makes it work but thats 1 out of 10 times. I dont know whether the cable is faulty or theres some problem with the LCD.

I hope someone here can help me understand n solve my problem.

Gitika.

Answer:BenQ FP71E+ monitor not working

HI people,

Dont know if I will get any solutions here but now I am experiencing a different problem. Now, my monitor does start but turns black after 5 min. Switching off the monitor and switching it on again makes the display come back again, say for 10 secs or so ( sometimes even a few minutes ).

I have the same issue as another user on this forum. Not sure why, but his thread was closed -- despite not actually being solved.

A few important pieces of information:

- The LCD monitor can be revived by hooking it up to a specific laptop (in my case, the Acer that I'm using is able to get it back to normal again).

- Second, it is not an overheating issue -- as suggested in the closed thread.

- Third, it is not a fault with the backlight (also as suggested in the closed thread).

Finally, this issue began, around the same time that I was hit by a virus.

Is it possible for a virus to attack the circuitry of a modern energy star rated monitor?

... I've seen stranger things, in my time.

Answer:BENQ monitor turns white

This is usually the monitor or the cable. The fact that it seems to work on the laptop raises the possibility that it's the video card, but I notice you said "specific laptop" Does that mean that sometimes it stays white with other laptops? What is the refresh rate and resolution on the desktop?

Have recently switched to Vista. Unable to get my Benq Flatbed scanner W3300U working. Will appreciate suggestions to get it going. Thank you.

Answer:Benq W3300U and Microsoft Vista

Try this alternative driver/software package: http://www.hamrick.com/

But Benq themselves do not seem to offer any support for Vista for that unit being its an outdated unit. If the above software doesn't work you would have to consider a new scanner.

Hi, I want to know what would be the better choice among LCD Monitors
The Samsung 710N II or the BenQ FP71G+.
Samsung 710N II
$305 CDN

BenQ FP71G+
$299 CDN

Both do not support DVI as I am no enthusiast, and also I've heard both these monitors perform alsmot as well as DVI.

Which one is best for your money?

Cheers.

Hello
I have a benq 1655 dvd rw and lately it seems that I cannot use it for a long time. When I try to watch a movie,my cpu usage goes up to 100 then floats between 25 and 100 and makes it impossible to watch.also I cannot open the drive to remove the dvd.the only way is to restart the computer.I have checked for a new driver but the internet says that there is no new driver for that hardware.I removed the drive from the system and restarted.Windows saw new hardware and reinstalled it .I still have the same problem.
Any ideas please.
Thanks
