Godaddy.com is unreachable

Question: Godaddy.com is unreachable

Problem: cannot access godaddy.com. All 4 computers on my home network cannot access godaddy.com. I do not get porn I just time out.

What I've done so far:
numerous anti-spyware programs have been run including spybotS&D and HijackThis (both before I found your forums), AdwareSE.
called both godaddy.com and verizon.net (my provider) with no luck, both say everything is fine on their end.

I have followed the FAQ with two problems:

-I mistakenly exited out of Counterspy without the log.
-Bitdefender crashed just as it was going to show the "detected problems" Explorer was the named culprit. I do remember mostly trojans found in email (trash box, Eudora Pro) that were deleted.

I do have the other 4 log files. I hope you can help, I have a website at godaddy.com that needs attending to.

Preferred Solution: Godaddy.com is unreachable

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Question: GoDaddy.com

all right, so i am building a website for a client, and they are using GoDaddy.com for their hosting. i am using dreamweaver MX, and i can't get it to upload the pages i make for it, i have already set up the FTP account, it connects, but doesn't display the new page when i visit it on the web with firefox. anyone used GoDaddy.com before? thanks.

Answer:GoDaddy.com

if the domain was recently transferred to godaddy or was just created as in just purchased using godaddy, then there is about a 72 hour waiting period before the domain is active and proliferated on the net.

Ok so I've used godaddy to setup my domain to create a dns entry:
Domain Host Summary

NS1.THE-LEGION.NET
154.37.2.122

NS2.THE-LEGION.NET
154.37.2.123

And then I set the nameservers to point that way:

Nameservers Summary

NS1.THE-LEGION.NET
NS2.THE-LEGION.NET
Last Updated: 8/25/2005

This is all just for The-Legion.net domain. I have everything on the server just set to direct all requests to the main page. I was messing with vhosts before, but now I'm simply trying to get the dns to work first. My question is what am I doing wrong or what step am I forgetting? If you check the ip will give you my website, but the-legion.net won't! Dns has been propigating for about a day already...

Question: GoDaddy and WPMU

I'm trying to install WordPress MU with my Deluxe account with GoDaddy but I'm having major issues.

Major problem - I'm not sure what I'm doing.

I tried to goggle it but people are saying that you cant use subdomains with GoDaddy?

What is the difference between a subdomain and subfolder?

Here is what I want to do:

mysite(.)com/system/type/action
mysite(.)com/system/type/sports
mysite(.)com/system/type/fps

After the "action", "sports" "fps" I'd like to create 1 page websites, several of them, maybe 5-10, and also I'd like to have people log into these and blog.

How the hell do I set this up fellas??

Whenever I try to upload a file larger than 1 MB to my godaddy account I get the following error within about 30 seconds.

Exception of type System.Web.HttpUnhandledException was thrown.

GoDaddy support says they have no clue and tried to upload a file for me successfully and said of course that it was not there problem but Comcasts.
Of course Comcast hasn?t a clue and also denies responsibility.

I guess I will have to try another computer or ISP somehow but I sure would like to be able to manage my own website!

Thoughts?

Greetings everyone. I use Godaddy for my domains / emails and absolutely love incredimail for it's graphics and ease of use. About August/September of last year, when pulling my emails from Godaddy's website (I have them set up as IMAP), the received emails have zero content. This is across all emails I have with Godaddy's domain and does not happen with my MSN account. My ports are set up with outgoing port 465 and incoming port 993 and I am using Windows 10 (please don't even get me started on that one). Any ideas on how to fix this?????

I went to "godaddy to check out the site. Now whenever I try to type in googlein my address bar, up pops "godaddy"

How can I get rid of it. I have used 4 different sypware programs and none detect it. I have searched every file and cannot find it. I have reset all of my internet options to default and it is still there.

I sent a message to godaddy support but have not received an answer.

Answer:How can I remove godaddy from my address bar?

Welcome to TechSpot

Open up Notepad.
Then click on Start/Run and type in regedit and click ok.
In Regedit click on (top) Edit/Find and type in godaddy, have all 3 'Look at' options ticked, then click Find next. When found, in the left panel, rightclick on the 'open' folder, select Copy Key Name.
Go to Notepad and press ctrl-V to paste the key.
Then type the name of the key in the right-panel with godaddy in it in your Notepad file.
Pressing F3 in Regedit will find the next, etc.

If you know what the values should be, change them, otherwise safe the Notepad-file as 'godaddy.txt' and attach it in this post. See http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic19133.html how to post your xxxx-files.
We could then help you further.

Alternatively, run Hijackthis, and attach the HJT-log, saved as 'HJT.txt'.
See http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic17297.html where to get it and how it works.

Answer:Help with godaddy domain forwarding!

From what you are saying, you wish to re-direct people who type in your old url to be forwarded to your new domain that you purchased from godaddy.
If so, I assume you also have hosting and have a site set up on the godaddy domain.
If so, all you have to do on the old site, is to put the main index.html page that says somethng like: " Our new site is www.godaddynewsite.com" and either make the site clickable and when the link is clicked, it will go to the new site. Or enable automatic redirection from the old site to the new one. Click here for exapmples
Alternatively,If you want people to type in your new domain name but wish them to see the pages on the old hosting site, have a look here from Godaddys Help section that explains how to do this

Ok I dont really understand the differences between the two.

I do have an unlimited IMAP account with 10 emails for my websites through godaddy.

I also have the emails set up on my home computer, iphone & also their online website/server for their email system.

The way it is set up now, IMAP, I have to delete the same email 3 times... that seems cumbersome.

I really prefer to only delete it once.

Is this possible with POP3?

Are there any disadvantages of POP3 compared to IMAP?

Answer:POP3 or IMAP through godaddy?

This is the most comprehensive list I know of features and differences between IMAP and POP3.

I recently registered a godaddy domain, a .net, which came with a free personal email. So, I activated it and did [email protected]

I went to log-in and it didn't work, so I went to my Emails manager and it said...

[email protected] (Pending Setup: validating MX record)

So I wait a bit and see if it goes away, which it doesn't. I've read a bunch of godaddy articles and have no idea what to do. For the mysite.net Total DNS Control Panel I set up a MX Record...

Priority: 10
Host: @
Goes to: www.mysite.net
And still doesn't work. I have no idea what an MX Record is an I'm really confused, any ideas?

Answer:Godaddy E-Mail w/ Domain

How long ago did you register the domain.
It can take up to 72 hours for the domain to become active.
MX record is maillexchange.
It sets forward and reverse lookups so the email can be
found at the domain.

I would really like if it would work on all devices the same as my gmail account does?

you know, if I delete or send something on one, it does it to them all?

Instead of having to delete the same email 3 times & being able to keep track of it all?

I currently use my iPhone, Outlook 2007 & their email server all at random times, but I want them all synced up as one?

Answer:How to get my godaddy account to act the same as gmail?

On the expensive side,
you could buy windows server, exchange server, and a physical server.
or you can have your gmail check all of your email accounts.
Link your outlook to your gmail.
and bam.
you check your gmail via iphone get all of your emails,
check your email through outlook and get all of your emails

I am looking into getting an SSL Cert for our company's network and we have certs from both Network Solutions and GoDaddy. I planned on buying a cert from Network Solutions but my coworker says that I'd be disappointed with Network Solutions. I checked out GoDaddy and it is cheaper, but I wonder what experiences [H] users have had with SSL certs and different vendores. Is there any reason I should go with one vendor over another?

Thanks!

Answer:SSL Cert: GoDaddy or Network Solutions?

GoDaddy.

Network Solutions has bad business practices, I'd rather give it to GoDaddy.

That's who I use anyway. Pretty cheap SSL certs. Especially when their your own servers for your own users and all you want to do is get rid of the SSL warnings.

Hi everyone,

Thank you in advance for your help. I have a company with about 10 employees and we are having horrible email problems. Here's how I'm set up:

- website domains and emails are all hosted at GoDaddy.
- i create company emails for everyone, but if anyone emails the company email address to John for example, it forwards to his personal email account at Gmail.

I usually always so this and never had problems but as of recent, even the techs at GD can't seem to help me. They tell me "Google is weird" and I've called over 10 times with them telling me to give it 24 hours to fix but it's not being fixed.

If I changed hosting websites, does this help me at all? This is my real question I guess. I'm boggled even Go Daddy techs can't help me so I was thinking if it'd be helpful if i went with Bluehost or something. Thanks everyone!

Hello,

I am hosting a website through GoDaddy. I have my own web server setup and am just using GoDaddy for the domain name. I would like to add on an email server to my web server, in particular, MDaemon. I am reading conflicting things online - one site will say I need to have a subdomain for my email IE mail.mydomainname.com while others say that my MX record just needs to point to my domain name. Regardless, I have MDaemon setup with my domain name and my MX record on GoDaddys Total DNS control panel setup to my domain name as well. I don't know what else I have to have setup in GoDaddys DNS control panel IE CNAMES, etc. If anyone else has a setup similar to what I have, or has any guidance for me, I'd appreciate it.

I am using GoDaddy.com's domain forwarding and masking service. When you login to GoDaddy, it let's you enter in meta tags for search engines to see. I have done this, but the tags do not appear on my page, just this:

Well, I can't post it because HTML is on, but you can see what I mean at http://www.fantasyrankings.net

Am I crazy or do the tags have to appear in the "head" tag? I called Godaddy's tech support and the first tech I talked to yesterday admitted that there was a problem and forwarded me to the next tech support level (oh boy) where I had to leave a message on some guy's answering machine.

Last night my site was down around 3:00 with a message saying that they were doing server maintainance. My site was back up today, but I think the only thing they added was the: !-- m --

So I called back today and a new tech guy told me that the meta tags didn't have to appear on my site, that their software caught search engines and gave them the meta tags. Does this sound like it could actually happen? Why not just include the meta tags in the "head" tag where they should be? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:GoDaddy's forwarding - META Tags

Why don't you put in the META tags yourself, manually? If the server does automatically optimise your webpages (and yes, they can do this) then there won't be any harm in your own ones being there too.

I own a domain through GoDaddy which I use for "professional" e-mail correspondence (i.e. not a free GMail or Hotmail account). I would also like to use this .com domain to access my PC over WAN.

Is there some type of "best practices" guide to follow when doing this, in terms of complying with standards and security?

Do you suppose that I can safeguard access to the home network with my current Linksys E4200 router, without having to spend money on a dedicated firewall?

Also, my IP is dynamic (Comcast) though it almost never changes (I've had the same one for quite some time) and I would have almost immediate notice when and if it does change.

Any input will be much appreciated! Thanks.

Answer:Directing GoDaddy domain name to my personal PC?

DYNDNS provides a professional service (last I checked it was $30/year) that works with any FQDN of your choosing. This will also update to your dynamic IP automatically if you run some sort of DYNDNS updater.

I've been trying to get access to my crossloop account, where I help my mother-in-law and a few friends with small computer problems. As of yesterday, I have been unable to get to the crossloop site from my PC or my laptop. If I use the URL in histroy, which is https then I just get page unavailable.

I'm not sure if there is a redirect virus affecting both PC and laptop or perhaps just affecting my router. If I try to connect to the crossloop.com site from my phone using the mobile network, then there is no problem.

Does anyone have any ideas, please?

Hi,

This issue has been happening for over 2 years, Godaddy can't help so I thought asking other members for help.

It seems every few days I lose emails, I also spent $80 last-year for Unlimited emails but nothing changes.

The first Month it happened I connected Thunderbird and Godaddy reset the servers and all my emails appeared again. Its a endless battle and the topper was my Unlimited service expired so they closed my email address.

I currently have 5000 emails in my Thunderbird program but 38 emails when logged into the Godaddy client? The funny thing my sent emails don't get deleted have everything from 2011.

Thunderbird downloads everything automatically and doesn't delete a thing.

Hoping a few members can help me.

So I'm trying to do some website stuff for someone here, and apparently my browsers hate godaddy.com

More specifically, Internet Explorer and Firefox both crash when I try and use godaddy's java FTP client.

I click the link to launch it and the browser just closes. (Not gracefully, it's as if I killed the process...)

Anyone know what this is about? I've been trying to get some answers but the only thing I've come up with are people saying "disable the silverlight plugin in Firefox", but there's nothing of the sort installed in my Firefox, and this wouldn't be relevant to IE crashing.

I tried it on my other computer and Internet Explorer worked just fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Answer:Internet Explorer and Firefox crash when using GoDaddy.com

Well, I got it to work... not in the nicest, cleanest way, but the quick, brute-force way. :haha:
I just ripped out everything Java in the system, and then installed the latest versions.

I have recently set up a DYNDNS http server on windows xp, everything works..

my question is that I have a domain I bought on Godaddy and would like to use that instead of the one DYNDNS gave me, how would i go about setting this up? I called Godaddy tech support and they were not much help at all..

I just want to simplify my domain name, and use the one im paying 9$ a year for.. thanks!

Answer:Useing a godaddy domain name on home server..

nice one.

you might be able to configure your dns so when people access www.domainyouwanttouse.com itll resolve to the ip you got from godaddy or the other way around.

just a suggestion

Help,
I recently registered a domain through GoDaddy and it came with free e-mail forwarding for the domain. That works fine, however when I reply to the e-mail that was forwarded to my other account it comes from that account. Im looking at a way to send from the .com I registered and not my personal e-mail. Is there a way? I don't want to pay for GoDaddy Exchange services. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Hello,
I had to recently replace my development PC.  I don't recall right now if I had upgraded the previous machine to Win 8.1 yet, it originally had Win 8.  I also don't recall which version of IE I was using on the previous PC.  This is only relevant
because the problem I will describe here was NOT present before upgrading to the new PC.
The PC with the problem is a premium Dell workstation running Win 8.1 and IE11.  I am not getting this error on any other website I visit.
I am getting the following error intermittently when using the GoDaddy site:

The debugger shows the following:

So as is always the case with the non-Microsoft crowd, they will point out the voluminous number of internet posts about problems with any variety of IE versions.  But I figure I should simply ask what's going on here and perhaps I can forward back
to GoDaddy the real issue.
Do I need to have some special feature turned on or off in IE Options > Advanced?
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Alan

Most often when trying to access my domains hosted by godaddy (WordPress or non WordPress) for viewing or editing, the browser (IE 8.0, Firefox or Google Chrome) times out with the "Oops...!" message.  Odd thing is that this only occurs on my WinXP desktop computer and access to all other domains on the net is just fine.  My laptop and all friends around the country are able to access my godaddy domains just fine.  Pings are unobstructed and ftp access is fine.  Problem seems to be only with web browsers.  I can pinpoint when this behavior began and have run Malwarebytes and AVG to scan my hard drive.  Neither succeded in fixing the problem.  I'm baffled?  any ideas?

Hi nathan30

Did this just recently start?

Is this a new device or new install?

Is your computer connected wirelessly and is the network set to private? (not public).

Could you fill out system specs please.

I've run through the config settings multiple times and am having trouble sending SMTP messages via outlook. I've successfully set up my blackberry, and can log on to GoDaddy's webmail, so am sure my login/password are correct. Also, I've confirmed pop.secureserver.net and smtpout.secureserver.net are the correct addresses, but continue to receive the following error:

Sending reported error (0x80042109) : Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing SMTP e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server admin or ISP.

I've called GoDaddy and they confirmed the ports etc as published in their online help text, and blamed any connection issues on Windows Vista port blocking etc...

I've turned off Zonealarm, Windows Firewall(always disabled) and Windows Defender. Anywhere else i need to update?

Thanks,
Jeff

Answer:Vista 32bit issues with Godaddy email for Outlook 2007

I did not find this anywhere on the outlook pages, but found a posting for Thunderbird that stated the SMTP port needs to be changed from 25 to 80.

That appears to work for outlook 2007 as well.

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.

For problém diagnostics you will need to analyze output from ipconfig /all, from routing tables when you work behind local network and network analyzer for detailed analysis of packet exchane (Wireshark will do the trick)

I have a number of XP and W7 PCs in a domain with internet connection, all working fine.

I've wired my Linux laptop to the network, DHCP, and it can talk to other devices on the network. But I can't get connected to any site outside the network - ping to any external address gives "192.168.1.1 Destination Net Unreachable" 192.168.1.1 is the correct address for the router, and any Windows machine can ping to any address via that same router.

Any ideas please?

We started experiencing an issue with some customers unable to browse out to the internet.  Manually setting their proxy server to the proxy.server.com address works, but not when we use the http:\\proxy.pac. In the auto configuration script area
on a working machine entering the http:\\proxy.pac in the address bar prompts for you to download/open the pac.  On the non working machine it ALSO cant reach the destination.  If *I* log on to the machine it works as intended.  We are
using preferences to push these settings and over 22,000 machines are working correctly.  But recently a number of people have started to experience this issue, and we are perplexed.  thoughts?

Hi,

I'm not sure what it might be but one day I noticed that about a dozen of websites I open regularly became unavailable. "The connection has timed out."

nslookup works OK and I get IP address resolved, I also tried tracert, it goes through 5-10 hops and then times out. I can still open some web sites but not all of them. I can open all web sites via online proxy so they are all up and running.

I have ADSL modem connected to my laptop, no routers, the modem doesn't have any static routing tables, so as far as I understand it, the list of hosts I see in tracert output depends on my ISP router.

The ISP is able to open all "problem" web sites on their side, but I can't get any help from them as they say that since tracert goes beyond their network it's not their problem and it's my computer actually blocking some of web sites.

I'm not aware of any software on my laptop which could possibly do that as well as I don't have any routing/proxy programs installed, so it seems that it might be a virus or some malicious software.

So what do I do? Try to find a virus or can it be a system issue?

Answer:some web sites became unreachable

Hi I'm new to this site but I'd like to help you.

Try downloading a alternate browser (I reccomend Google Chrome). This will make sure the problem isn't in your browser at least. Also can you ping any of those sites you can't get to?

DDS sees McAfee, so so far so good, but it reports it as Disabled so you might like to check if it is in fact active.

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble since last week. I have sweethosting.com hosting my web site and my laptop can't seem to connect to the web site anymore. Everytime I try, I get an error msg: Gateway time out--- Server Unreachable.. sometimes when I repair the wireless connection I can get access, but sometimes I can't.

I've tried scanning with with Nortons antivirus and scanned with spybot and also with Adware. I'm lost in the dark right now. My Desk top computer can access the web site though.

Can someone help me please.

Answer:Error msg: server unreachable

This is what I got when I just tried that site;

"This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache HTTP server after it has been installed. If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at this site is working properly.
If you are a member of the general public:

The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems, or is undergoing routine maintenance."

Checking the URL with a server identification tool produced the information that it is online, but returns a "HTTP 1.0 403 Forbidden", which seems to confirm the information above.

The IP address for that domain is 69.42.129.18. Sometimes, using the IP address instead of the URL works better, although I don't expect it will make much difference in this particular case.

I have a NAS device with an LED link that displays it has a connection. However, when I attempt to ping the device I am getting an error saying "Destination host is unreachable". What is confusing to me is that the results say that all packets sent were received, 0% loss. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to set up a network between two computers to run a track meet. I've followed the directions according to the instructions, setting up the TCP/IPv4 correctly on both computers. When I ping the 2nd computer I get a destination host unreachable message. How do I fix this?

First step is to trouble shoot to determine the cause.

If you want help from somebody you need to describe your network and computers (with respect to the network).

Hi,

I am using an old laptop as a server for Plex and Subsonic, I login to it via RDP. Often the plex server becomes unreachable. Also at times I can't login via RDP for a few minutes with an error that the host is unreachable, this issue sorts itself after a few minutes and I can then log in again.

I'm wondering could this be due to hard disk spin down as all other power setting are set to stay awake.

This is on a Windows 7 setup, thanks.

Answer:Laptop Server Becomes Unreachable

Apparently this is not due to hard disk spin down as I have set it to never spin down and still experiencing problems.

Any one with any ideas on why I may be having these issues please let me know your thoughts.

I've been trying to connect a newly aquired machine to my network with no luck what-so-ever. Initially I installed Windows XP professional with SP2 onto the machine only to be hit with the infamous "Limited or no connectivity" issue. Upon researching this error, I came across various solutions including the Microsoft SP2 Patch KB884020 with no luck. I still cannot get this machine to connect to the network. Everything I've tried is listed below.

Replaced the Hub twice
Tried with no Service packs, and with 1 seperately, and service packs 1 and 2
I've tried the winsock XP fix after reading it may be a corrupt IP table
I've run a registry fix i found on some forums (i have a feeling thats the same as the winsock XP fix though)
I've flushed out my DNS
I've tried 3 different network adapters, an nForce Motherboard mounted one. a Realtek one, and a Sitecom one
Manually assigned an IP address in the range which DHCP would assign

All of the above has failed. It is only this machine which fails. I've got numerous other machines on my network which are all recieving dynamic IPs from DHCP perfectly every time yet this PC hasn't recieved an IP once.

I read that if you can ping the computer's local IP, and ping its loopback address 127.0.0.1 successfully, it's not a corrupt IP table, but bad network drivers. However having tried 3 different network adapters with CD drivers from purchase, and drivers obtained on the inter... Read more

I can get to any website I try except Windows update.

I have moved the HDD to another PC and run MS Security Essentials, BitDefender & F-Secure scans. Then back to its own case where I ran Anti-Malware & SuperAntiSpyware. HijackThis also ran but still no Windows Update.

I have tried running IE in Safe mode - same problem. I did a repair install of XP - problem persists. I ran a batch file to delete the update database and reregister DLLs. Reinstalled IE 8. Still unable to reach Windows update in IE or FireFox. WinsockXPfix didn't help and an nslookup of windowsupdate.microsoft.com reveals

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.0.1: Timed out
*** Default servers are not available

All other websites on this PC come up fine, as does Windowsupdate on another PC on the same LAN. My Hosts. file contains just
127.0.0.1 localhost

Hi all, new guy here with weird problem. I can not access www.crutchfield.com website. Everytime I try I get timeout (this applies to all machines on my network). However when I bypass the router and hook up directly to the modem I can get the website. Here's what I did so far:

My Internet connection is working fine (called Comcast and it was reset from their side).
I called Crutchfield and they confirmed their website is up (Comcast guy accessed it too).
I reset my modem and router.
I reset the router to factory defaults.
I reinstalled the router firmware.
I doublechecked that access control is disabled on the router, and no entries in web filter

I am stumped, can somebody help? Thanks.

I am running:
Toshiba - DOCSIS 2.0 Cable Modem - PCX2600
D-Link DGL-4300 router
Windows 7 RC x64
All connections Cat6 cable

I'm getting this message when I tracert sf.net. No other website is having problems being accessed from my network, only sourceforge. A ping responds with:
Reply from 66.35.250.203: Destination port unreachable.

A tracert responds with 15 successful hops, and then:
16 sourceforge.net [66.35.250.203] reports: Destination protocol unreachable.

I cant figure out where the problem is originating. I created a static route to allow all traffic to this address on my 1710 router. My SDSL modem is able to ping and tracert successfully. Ping and tracert from my Cisco 1710 router gives the unreachable error.
Network setup is:
LAN -------> Cisco 1710 --------> Efficient SDSL 5851

Any help is appreciated.

I have searched everything and tried everything. Have an HP Desktop Pavilion. Purchased a MFC 8950dw Printer. One Desktop in the office Acer M3470 connected without Disks, system works beautifully. We have a Linksys wireless router. On the HP Pavilion nothing works. Continue to get "destination host unreachable". Here are the specks. Any help other than what's already been offered? I removed all firewall trying to make that work.

Answer:destination host unreachable

You need to tell us what the problem is, not what error you get. What are you trying to do? What are you pinging? Is the HP Pavillion connected to the router via WiFi or cable? Can it connect to the Internet?
Any other pertinent information would help.

My friend took his computer to Best Buy who ran the restore on it with his main files on a second drive. The drive is now ganked, but I'm working to recover the files if possible.

In Disk Management (XP Pro), I can see that there's a 37GB volume with 20Gb free (looks like his missing files). There's a second volume on the disk that's only 47 MB and it's Active (so I can access it, but there's nothing to speak of there).

The point is that if I click on the 37Gb volume, I can't seem to do anything with it. The only menu option available when I right click it is "Help". If I click the disk itself, I have the option to convert to a dynamic disk, but I don't want to do that without knowing what will happen to the data on there.

When I dig through the properties, I can see data on the 47MB disk, but not the 37 GB. Does anyone know what to do with this!!!?

Answer:Unreachable Volume on Disk, What to do?

Oh, and the 37 GB says this:

37.22 GB NTFS

Connect WAMP Server/Virtual Host/local Word Press to GoDaddy.

Dear PLANET !

my name is Amadeus,

We are starting a self funded animal rescue center,
We have purchased out own servers, and are pretty tech savy.

We have run across something we can not figure out.

4. DOMAIN NAME PURCHASED / GO DADDY.

5. POINTED THE "A" CLASS DNS TO OUR
~ROUTER / NOT WORKING
~SERVER I.P. / NOT WORKING
~VIRTUAL HOST IP / NOT WORKING

We have tried everything,

~port forwarding
~port 80
~ pretty much every tutorial in the known planet.

The conclusion we came to was, it has something to do with the router ?

because godaddy can point to the router login page, but thats it,

after we tried port forwarding, its just a error page.

The only logical guess we have left is

1. We need to set the DHCP

I keep having an issue with one specific site and the problem is incredibly odd. Every weekend for the last 3 weeks, starting at about 11am on saturday and going through the weekend until monday, the site in question will be totally unreachable from any PC on my network. I can reach it from my phone on VZW LTE, but not from the WLAN. If I ping the site I get an error "Destination Net Unreachable". If I run a tracert I go about 15-18 hops before getting the same error. If I plug the PC directly into the modem, the website is reachable. That definitely indicates a router-side problem. The thing is, the router's configuration hasn't been touched in months, if not years, and the problem is recent. the router in question is a DIR-655, and there is no QOS, no parental controls, nothing that has been manually set up that would obviously be causing this issue. The setup is as barebones as it gets. Again, it is one specific website (pbnation.com), everything else works 100% fine. Any ideas?

I am having problems on my laptop using things like Cortana across user accounts. The wheel spins and spins when I click on Cortana. I think the problem stems from the fact edge and IE11 cannot load outlook.com or go into things like account settings. It's only this causing the issue, all other sites work apart from these critical MS sites. I've tried changing DNS settings to alternates like google but nothing works to fix this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated? On my other desktop PC I have no issues. All language settings and packs are correctly set as UK. Am at a total loss. I tried a restore point but that was no better. I've had this issue crop up intermittently ever since getting the laptop. Sometimes it works ok but after a while the issue will re-occur without rhyme or reason. I notice under family setitngs 'Can't connect to family settings, your user data may not be upto date' sometimes comes up too. It's as if the laptop is having trouble connecting to MS server some of the time

Answer:Outlook.com unreachable via edge and IE11

The machine seems to be having real problems signing into MS. For example if I launch films and TV I see lower left 'Can't sign in'. I think there is something amiss logging into the MS account causing all the issues. Store is slow and unable to update apps, always an error message after ages of acquiring license. I don't really want to have to try and create a new user acc given everything I have setup/installed

Is there a way of signing out of the MS account and signing back in because something is seriously screwed up

Cheers
Wayne
