Preferred Solution: need an program that can delete application and its ext.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: need an program that can delete application and its ext.

Hi

You most likely have malware on your PC judging by those file names, so running the below and attaching the logs requesed will be a start, then if the files are still their further removal instructions will be posted to aid you in removing any malware files including those two mentioned.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
CounterSpy
AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
Bitdefender - from step 6
Panda Scan - from step 6
runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
HijackThis

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs![/quote]

Somehow an application program has arrived on my pc (running XP), with an icon on my desktop. I have deleted the icon but cannot delete the program, I get a msg saying 'access denied'. I can change the name and move it around folders, except to a cd writer! As far as I can tell I have full authorisation. I have run AVG 6 as well as the Pit Stop full test, no problems showed up. Can anyone suggest anything?

I used IObit to delete my newly installed Spyware Blaster which would not open.

After the initial deletion, a window came up that asked if I wanted to delete other items left behind:

"1723 items
1720 items in registry
and 3 items in Program Files"

I was afraid to delete the registry items, but should I do that in the future? I cannot bring those up again, of course.

Second question, installed Spyware Blaster twice and both times the program would not open no matter where I tried to open it from.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Mishkyn

Answer:Used IObit to delete program, should delete registry items also?

When programs like that refuse to run, it's best to rule out malware as being the cause. You should follow these instructions. Once we know you are all clean, we can then investigate the issue further, or maybe I will refer you onto the software forum.

I, unfortunately have been attacked with malware, virus, one of those, called tklofse. I know its a virus, and when I try to delete it, it says the application is either already running, or your "disc is already full". I tried restarting my computer, but it still won't work, what can I do? Also, I have AVG free edition, works like a charm, but when i do a C drive scan for the first time, i got quite a number of viruses. Then i did it again to be sure i cleaned my C drive clean, i do it again, and for some reason, theres 1 or 2 viruses that i thought i already deleted. How do i fix that?

Hi all,

In february I downloaded the Roller Coaster Tycoon demo to see what the game was like. When I came to delete it, an error message came up saying it can't be deleted because it is being used by a person or programme. This was in February, so 5 months later I still haven't been able to delete it. I tried to delete it in safe mode but no such luck, and it is not on the processes list in task manager either. I also ran some scans for spyware or anthing like that and nothing whatsoever came up. Please could someone tell me how to safely delete this!

Thankyou.

This is what it says under properties:

I just did a clean install of my XP Home Edition, but I didn't wipe out all the files. So, there is still the old APPDATA folder left in the old folder under C:\Documents and Settings\xxxuser.xxx\Application Data. That data is taking up gigabyte of precious space. There is now a new Appdata folder in the new install folder. Is it okay to delete the old one?

Answer:Okay to delete old Application Data Folder?

Yes, should be fine if you installed a new version of Windows and obviously not using that user application data anymore.

but I didn't wipe out all the files.Click to expand...

My suggestion to you is to do a full format though, if that data (AppData) is still on your computer, this means there's a lot of other data from the previous OS installation as well that you don't even know about. Not only will it consume disk space, but will make your computer considerably slower as well.

Hi,

I just downloaded & installed some drivers from the Gateway website for one of my pc's, as after doing a fresh Windows install, I was missing some drivers. All the drivers are working okay.

Here are my questions...

It is now safe to delete the ".exe" files & "application" files associated with the installed drivers, correct? Actually, I already deleted the .exe files & all seems to be fine, although I haven't removed the application file associated with one of the drivers. Just looking for some reassurance

Also, a couple of the drivers have folders containing other various info. This may be too general of a question, but if I delete the associated driver folders, will I actually be deleting the drivers? Should I even be concerned about deleting such folders as they do not seem to contain any executable files.

If I can supply additional info to help answer my questions, please let me know. Thanks!

Answer:Can I Delete Driver .exe & Application Files?

You may delete any Driver download files as long as you have run the EXE's they are now installed to your c:/ drive. Although it is always quite handy just to burn them to disk or back them up in case you need them in the future.

I have installed in my XP and old ACDSee 4.0 (is an editor and storage program) from 2001, which today results totally anachronic. I have not deleted the whole thing because I have so many photos saved in it, and I am affraid that when I delete the Program I will lose all the stuff I have kept along the years

For most of you this might be a silly question, but I am honestly very ignorant on computer matters. Could you please tell me how can I eliminate the ACDSee Program, making sure my pictures are saved ? What is your recommendation on a Program for storing my pictures and make some easy editing without the sophistication of Photoshop too complicated for me ?

I don't know the difference between an Application and a Program. Thought the Geektionary would help, but didn't find anything there.

I have 2 Dell Windows XP computers.

If I want to copy something such as Microsoft Money from one pc and install it on the other, what exactly do I need to copy? The application or the program?

And where do I find what I need to copy? :confused

Any help in this area is so appreciated.

Thanks.

Answer:Application vs. Program

Well basically an Application is an executable file such as Notepad.exe whereas a program can contain more than one application along with numerous other files such as DLL files.

Since the days when Windows had a registry it is far more difficult just to copy a program as it often has numerous entries in the registry which will point to locations of files within the program - this is why prgrams these days are generally installed. Only if the program contains a small number of files or is a self contained executable (such as Notepad which is both a program and an application rolleyes) can a program be copied.

Hope that's all clear. :confusedrolleyes

When I uninstall something, usually there are still parts of the application left behind in the registry. I always go in there and delete anything related to the uninstalled item because I want to get ALL remnants of the uninstalled item out of the registry completely. However, there are times some registry items of this kind refuse to delete for one reason or another. It is rare, usually everything deletes. However, I am frustrated with the registry items that won't delete. I just tried something called RegOwnershipEx but I couldn't make it work to delete these items. I need something that will force delete these stubborn registry entries. Now I know if I get a message while trying to delete a registry item and it won't go it might be best to leave it in there. But I always do a registry backup in case of any thing I might delete I shouldn't have so no problems result with my system. But I still want to delete everything, call me stubborn. Hello can anyone please tell is there any back up software that can back up a particular application for me? For example, if there is any update for a software and i want to back up the software before updating it, is there any way to do so? I know i can back up the whole computer using Norton Ghost but what if i just want to back up a particular software?

Answer:Backup program for a particular application

Not generally doable. When programs are installed, they make changes in the registry of the computer and in various parts of the Windows operating system. Simply finding a program that will copy over the files, will not copy the registry changes or any other changes..it simply copies files. That is why people who try this run into problems. To date I know of no program that copies applications into a useful format to save. There are migration programs and imaging software etc, but nothing for single applications to my knowledge.

Anyone using this HOT rated download, and will it have a direct or indirect benefit regarding popup or popunder ads? The screen shot looks pretty impressive. I'm already employing CCleaner for the drive.

Answer:CleanCache application/program

This is more of a question for the Software Forum.

Using this or CCleaner is not necesarily going to stop popups? It is not a popup stopper? It's a drive cleaner which will remove some items that could possibly be related to some problems you are having.

What is the worst legit program/application you've ever used in Windows? Exclude mention of antivirus and anti malware because there's already a popular thread about it on MT.

To moderators, please move this thread if I've posted it in the wrong place.

Answer:Worst program/application you've ever used

Backup software, it made me loose all backups, twice. First one "only" corrupted all files.

But the worst was the one from Google. I removed online files and upon sync, it removed local files. I had to redo everything.

I have sworn never to use any automatic backup software ever again, manual backups for me, only copy/paste locally or online.

This varies from a lot to a little. I don't understand this. Why are some items 'left behind' in the registry, and files and folders on my computer? In years past I just left this stuff on my computer, but I have read that this useless junk piles up over time and can even slow down your machine. I have found a utility everyone should know about called TakeOwnershipEx. It allows you to take ownership over files and folders that refuse to delete due to ownership and permission issues, and is so easy to use. If you want to delete files or folders or do other things but run into problems, try downloading this app. and you will get control to do whatever you want with no problems. However, I have not found an equivalent app. to use in the registry. Do you know of any software out there that can do what I am seeking? Thanks.

I did use CCleaner some single entries got deleted while others remain there.

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Answer:Items in User Application Data Local Temp Folder should I delete?

Hi Ari94,

Temporary folder is a directory used to hold temporary files. Many operating systems and some software automatically delete the contents of this directory at boot-up or at regular intervals.

You can delete the files from Temp folder. There would be certain files which may not be deleted, this is happens when the files are in use. Please follow detailed instructions to delete the Temp folder: Temporary Files - Temp Folder

Please revert back for clarification.

1. Go to Start and click Run
2. Type "dxdiag" and click OK

Attempt to uninstall (pre-installed) MS Picture It! Publisher 2001 over most of a day have failed. Removal from registry made no difference. Disk is required for removal. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance

Answer:Clean uninstall of program(application)

I take it you've already tried uninstalling it using add/remove programs. Try deleting all of the data files (C:\Program Files\Whatever it would be it) and then using add/remove programs.

When logged in to a domain-based workstation under an admin account, if you install a program will this install under all the user accounts? If I recall correctly, I had an application that was installed on one user in the past, but not the others.

Also, what is the best way to install an application for one specific user and not the others?

Whenever installing an application/ program in the past, I always logged on to an admin account and subsequently installed the application. I am just curious if there are other options and if so, how to do it.

Hey guys, I realize that I am not the only person that has encountered this problem, as my research has shown. I tried to ready some similar posts and problems on this forum and others, but I seem to get stuck at certain steps. Here is my situation. Im on a Dell latitude d630 running windows vista. I fell asleep watching Dexter online and when I woke up there was a new looking Anti-Virus program on my task bar that i do not remember installing. The program showed hundreds of infections and was prompting me to delete only if i bought their antivirus. After realizing I could not delete these infections i tried to close the program and open my Malwarebytes Anti Malware and also Synamatec Antivirus. Both programs failed to open, and an error message bubbled off of the "Antivirus" icon. As soon as this happened I tried harder to download new antivirus and to get this off my comp. But no matter what I download, I am unable to install/open. I cannot open task manager, and recently new virus alerts have been popping up. One says i have an infiltration alert about trojans and password stealing attacks, and when I press stay unprotected www.*censored*.com pops up. I tried to fix this going off what you said to others, but I would appreciate a little one on one help to walk me through this, as each case may be different entirely. Thanks a lot!

Is it possible in Windows 7 (either via a windows feature or an add-on program) to password protect individual programs or software so that when you try to run the software you first need to provide a password? Please note this is not the same as UAC in Windows 7. I want to be able to lock down certain programs so that when a user tries to run the program (say Internet Explorer or Microsoft Access) they will be prompted for a password. This would be very handy in a shared user scenario. Is this possible via the group policy editor? Thanks!

Answer:Password protect an application or program

This is not supported by Windows but third party applications may provide this feature. Windows security doesn't work that way.Windows security is based on the users account and the groups it is a member of. This is in the files and folder security properties. Don't change anything here unless you know what you are doing.Note that if the user is using an admin account he can evade any and all restrictions you might impose.

Hello Everyone,

I've finally had enough. I am sick and tired of using windows control panel to uninstall programs. Why? Because 1/2 the time I use the add/remove programs thing it doesnt uninstall the program completly. It will leave folders, files, registry entries, hidden crap, and who knows what else still on my computer from the program I wanted to uninstall. Then I have to go back and try to delete them manually, then pray that a registry cleaner will find the rest (which usually doesnt happen).

I'm looking for something that will completely remove EVERYTHING when I uninstall a program. I dont care if it costs money or if its free, as long as it works.

Thank you if you can help.

EDIT: on a side note. Also looking for an easy to use free macro program. Somthing that I can use to press a key stoke, have a few minute delay, and repeat the key stroke. Then loop that untill I press stop.

I am relatively "new" to programming. I always have wondering how to develop a Windows client application and made it a stand alone program that install at the client computer with the "double click" (autoexec?) feature by following Windows standard installation instructions at screen. Can somebody please tell me how is that done and list some basic book references that shows me how to do that?

If I create an application with Access 2000, can I convert it to a standalone application that install and behave as explained above?

Thank you very much. It will sincerelly be appreciated.

I'm troubleshooting a Windows XP (SP2) eMachine (with a fresh OS install on a new hard drive - no original eMachine software remains on the system) and I've never encountered such a persistent problem: certain applications (Fruit Loops, Adobe Acrobat Reader, among others) run fine after installation, but after a reboot they will not run. Their shortcuts, as well as the actual program executables, lose their original icons and are mysteriously changed to the generic window icon (the one Windows will use for a file type is doesn't recognize.) When I try to run these programs, using the desktop shortcut OR the actual executable, I get the error dialog box: "This program is not a valid Win32 application." This happens to several applications, while others (Pro Tools, Acid) remain unaffected and can be executed w/o any problem.
*Note: this computer is not connected to the Internet, so it is unlikely that this is some type of virus.

What could be causing this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My family computer is a desktop PC running Windows Vista with McAfee. I make sure to run all updates ASAP. My updates are current through yesterday. When I tried to update my computer this morning, the updates failed with an unknown error. "Error(s) found: code 80070103 Windows Update encountered an unknown error"

This morning, I turned on the computer to find that McAfee has been disabled, Windows Defender has been disabled, and that I cannot turn them back on. Additionally, I cannot run any programs. Invariably, I get the response "program.exe is not a valid Win32 application" regardless of whether I run the program from the C drive or a USB.

Neither Internet Explorer nor Firefox are working; I can only access the internet by opening windows explorer and typing an address into the address bar in that window.

I have tried running McAfee in safe mode, but get the same message. I tried the "repair computer" function when I boot the computer, but it insists that I have another drive attached (though I have unplugged the camera, flash drvie, external hard drive)... There is nothing attached (except for the keyboard and mouse). I have tried restoring my computer to a previous restore point only to be told by the computer that there are no restore points.

I started Googling and thought that it may be the Bagle virus because of the "is not a valid Win32 application" but found none of the files listed on the Removing Bagle Infections page... Read more

Make sure that you transfer the tools to the instructed directories given in the R & R Me FIRST
Both SAS & MBAM should be saved to C:\Downloads.. then installed to C:\Program Files
Once installed, open each application and update their definitions databases before running a "Quick scan".

Here's a strange problem.

I have AAA Map 'n' Go 7.0, running with WinMe.

When I exit the program, instead of getting the message that I used to get (I believe it was, "Save Changes to startup.mn7?"), I get the following message: "_______ startup.mn7?"

How do I reset the "_______" to "Save Changes to..."?

I have already uninstalled and re-installed the program, and that didn't solve the problem.

I have a flash application running within a secure site. The program uses resources such as video clips and powerpoint presentations. Video clips work OK, but when I ask it to open a .ppt, a popup window appears briefly and then disappears again.
Popup blocker is disabled, and I don't have google or yahoo toolbars.
It's running in a trusted site with all the settings set to minimum security.
there is nothing wrong with the ppt - it runs perfectly on my pc, and from within my secure site.
And (perhaps crucially) it all works perfectly in Firefox!

This all leads me to conclude that there is a setting in IE7 that is wrong, but I can't for the life of me figure out what.

Can anybody help?
The ppt is one of the Resources within the SCORM-compliant "OCR PE AS level Teaching Support" from Heinemann. This is running as a course within the Fronter VLE. (Just on the off-chance that there is someone with specific knowledge of this!)

Thanks in advance.

My vista box is getting a little slow from time. Like everything freezes on the computer, and then I have to wait a little bit and it comes back. Often this happens when firefox has been used for a while. I'm not sure if this is firefox's entire fault, so I was wondering what free program is out there that I can use to monitor what application is accessing the disk. I tried googling but just found a bunch of hard drive monitoring (temperature, fail rate, etc.) programs.

You should be able to use the resource monitor built into Windows to see what programs are writing to disk.

One is called 'Delete.exe' (size 40kb) and the other is called 'SetAttrib.exe' (size 44kb), both created 22/2/2006. One says modified 30th Nov 2004, the laptop wasn't even built then. The other says modified 21st Jan 2005. There's no information for either in the 'summary' tab. I've done a full scan with Norton, Ad-Aware SE, A-Squared and Ewido and everythings coming up clean. Has anyone any idea what these application icons could be please.Cheers Chris.

Hello, this is my first time using this forum so I apologize if I do something wrong.

So normally, whenever I hover my mouse over a program located on the taskbar, I get a preview screen showing what is currently being viewed on that program. I can still get that, however, it never shows itself above the active program (last program I've clicked).

This happens with each and every program I have opened and tried. I tested the method of having the active program sitting in a place where it would only slightly conceal the preview (not maximized). Then having inactive programs (I've clicked on something else besides them last) behind the active one and the preview. Then I can see that that the preview will cover all inactive programs but the active program will still cover the preview.

I hope I've detailed what's happening well enough. I don't remember when this first started happening but I do know that it is not supposed to function like this. The preview should always be visible and on top no matter if there are active programs or not.

I also tried to get a picture of it happening, but it's kinda hard to take a picture of something that requires the active program to not hide itself (like snipping tool does).

Hi all,

I'm having a rather strange issue that I haven't been able to trace, mostly because although the error itself makes sense to me, I have no idea what it means.

I'm using Windows XP pro, 32 bit with service pack 3 on an HP 8510W notebook. Recently I noticed that every time I closed a program, or a program exited properly, I received an error that looked something like this.

notepad.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x00bb1f3e" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

iexplore.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x03051f3e" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

taskmgr.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x009c1f3e" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
And so on, with everything from Reaper to firefox to Task Manager. I've also noticed two other things, which are:
A. this error never occurs if I manually end the task from within task manager or tskill, only when the program legitimately exits.
B. The first hex value always changes, but the second value, the memory being referenced, always stays the same.

Answer:Can anyone recommend a Application & file transfer program?

Transfering your files back depends on the method of how you have backed them up.
If you have done it using Bounce Back Express, maybe this application has option for restoring the files?

Also if you want to transfer application files from XP to Win 7 this will not work.
You will need to reinstall all applications on Windows 7 and then transfer your other files such as video, music, pictures etc.

Hello,I am looking for a program capable of redirecting ALL current internet speed only to one application, ensuring it works possibly as good as it should. So far I only found programmes meant to limit the applications speed, which is theoreticaly the opposite of what I am looking for.I would LOVE you guys to reply to me with ANY ideas because I am trying to fix a problem that none have yet solved. If you want to read more about the problem, head here http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php?topic=138954.0 and maybe you could help me to solve it, if not, staying here will be appreciated too. Thanks and best regards,

Answer:A program for maximising internet priority to only one selected application

You could use almost any firewall product to accomplish this. Even Windows Firewall should allow for this type of management. If you turned on the limitation for the entire PC and then permitted the one application for full access, wouldn't that accomplish what you are trying to do?

had this problem started a few weeks ago, really sick of it. whenever i open itunes/skype/any file vista asks me what application i want to launch it with. i cant even go to system restore and return it to a previous setting as i dont know what application to get on the program.

please help, i know very little about computers

Answer:Solved: Whenever I open a program it asks what application id like to launch with

Try this fix: EXEFIX

Unzip the fix and extract the .REG file to the Desktop. Right-click the .REG file and choose Merge. Note that you need to be an Administrator to apply this fix.

Reboot the computer.

If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.

Hello,

I am writing this because I am seeking help with an Email related issue.

I am trying to use a program that retrieves Inbound Email attachments and resends them to a new destination… it is a dispatch program.

The Help Files associated with this program make reference to “The Attachment Folder” from “My Email Program”.

I am currently using Microsoft Outlook 2000 as my Email program although… I also have Outlook Express as an optional email program that I could use.

I would prefer to stay with Outlook 2000 though…
“if possible”.

I am enclosing an excerpt from the “Help” File associated with this program so you can see their exact reference to an “Attachment Folder from my Email Program”.

I have tried contacting The Program Manufacturers Tech. Support but as yet have not heard back from them.

I am looking for any advice or direction to be able to Locate and Identify this “Attachments Folder” in “my Email Program” that they make reference to.

If you can assist or advise me in any way I would appreciate it very much, as I am completely lost as to what to do next.

My Operating System is Windows 98SE.

Thank You
Respectfully
Mike Santos

My email address is à [email protected]

Answer:Simple Program Application Question Re; A Specific Folder ???

Outlook does not save the attachments in a "separate folder", it bundles them up with everything else in a .pst file.

Other email programs such as Eudora use an attachments folde, located wherever you want it. Looks like thats what the program is designed for?

I tried using Auslogics Boostspeed trial version,
It's actually pretty cool 'cause it scans and shows how many junks files, registry errors, fragmented and disk errors there is, plus status if it's critical or whatsoever.
But since it's only a trial version, I can't fix/repair all of the errors.
the last time i checked showed that my computer doesn't have disk error but have other issues that need to be fixed. So i was wondering if there's such a program or i can manually check and fix stuff like this. Thanks in advance and have a nice day people^^

Answer:Is there a program/application(free) to scan and fix disk errors?

Windows has a built in disk checker. You can access it by right clicking on your drive and choosing "properties", then "tools" then "error-checking".

You can also run it from a command prompt.

You can also download disk utilities from your drive manufacturer's web site.

Hi, my os is window vista. Recently i opened an unknown application (.cfg file type, some games files) with notepad editor to see what it is inside. I change something and save it. the file type is still cfg but now it always open with a notepad which coz my game to malfunction...so how do i remove the open with notepad and set it to a an unknown application..which my com don actually recognizes it and will prompt me to search the internet.

Answer:Changing open with default program to unknown application.

Press Start (the Windows icon on the bottom right), type regedit and press enter. Press Continue when the UAC thing pops up. Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes, find the .cfg key and delete it. This will reset it so when you open any cfg file it will ask you which program you want to open it with. You may have to restart your computer after completing the above steps.

You posted this in the wrong section by the way.

Some extra information would be useful such as:
What operating system are you running?
What program are you trying to delete?
How are you trying to delete it?
What antivirus you have running?

Please provide the information to the questions above and anything else along those lines which are relevant.

I installed a program in Win 7 Dos. I then installed it in Win 7. When I tried to run the program I get an error message that a version of the program is running. I tried deleting the program from the control panel and re-installing but I keep getting the same error. How can I delete the program from the command menu?

Answer:how to delete a program in win 7 dos?

Win 7 dos and Win 7 are the same thing. It sounds like you shouldn't be playing around in the dos menu. You can hit cntrl alt delete to open task manager and manually kill the process.

Answer:Can't delete a program....

Hello. This program is P2P file sharing program. This program itself is not malicious, however, the content that you download with it may be.These programs allow to share files between users as the name(s) suggest. In today's world cyber crime has come to an enormous dimension and any means is used to infect personal computers to make use of their stored data or machine power for further propagation of the malware files. A popular means is the use of file-sharing tools as a tremendous amount of prospective victims can be reached through it.It is therefore possible to be infected by downloading manipulated files via peer-to-peer tools and thus suggested to be used with intense care. Some further readings on this subject, along the included links, are as follows: File-Sharing, otherwise known as Peer To Peer and Risks of File-Sharing Technology. It is also important to note that sharing entertainment files and proprietary software infringes the copyright laws in many countries over the world and you are putting yourself at risk of being indicted through organizations watching over the rights of the authors of such files (i.e. the RIAA for music files, or the MPAA for movie files in the USA) or the authors of the files themselves.Naturally there are also legal ways to use these services, such as downloading Linux distributions or office suites such as "Open Office."If you want help removing it anyways, we can help. With Regards,The Panda
