Samsung Galaxy Note II Lte N7105 & Compatible 64GB Micro SDHC Card

Question: Samsung Galaxy Note II Lte N7105 & Compatible 64GB Micro SDHC Card

I now have the above named phone and require a Back-up memory card, Samsung state the maximum card must be a Micro SDHC which I know is not available by Samasung in 64GB size.
I have read there to be problems with 64GB Micro SDXC card not working correctly because of them being ExFat32
Does anyone in the group happen to own a Samsung Galaxy Note II Lte GT-N7105 Smartphone please and tell me if they have tried a 64GB Micro SDXC card with or without any issues.
Thanks

Preferred Solution: Samsung Galaxy Note II Lte N7105 & Compatible 64GB Micro SDHC Card

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Samsung Galaxy Note II Lte N7105 & Compatible 64GB Micro SDHC Card

things i've tried so far

1. in disk management within windows 7 I have the disk listed but "no media"
2. using DISKPART I can select the volume (says type Removable) yet size zero bytes and status "NO MEDIA"
3. I selected the disk and partition and attempted to extend size=64000 and 63000 just in case that worked but did not and came back with Virtual Disk Service Error: the operation is not supported on removable media
4. in disk management i've changed the drive letter to see if that makes a difference
5. i've tried multiple SD Card adapters also so I doubt that is the issue, i've also tried on a laptop with no luck just in case and also tried other memory cards in the same reader so the reader is fine.
there are some very important photographs on the SD card and was wondering if there were any other steps I could take to see if I can get the photographs back.

thanks in advance for any assistance.

I recently bought a Samsung SDHC micro card for my MS surface laptop. Unfortunately the card does not work and I suspect a driver problem. However when I search for drivers I end up at sites in the US that want large sums of money. The Samsung site seems to be no help. Can anyone suggest where to go from here?

Hello all. I am having issues with a Micro SDHC 64gb. For three computers using windows vista, windows 7 and windows 8 my SD card is showing different capacities. For windows visa it shows 32gb, windows 7 it shows 64gb and windows 8 it shows 32gb. Does my SD card have some sort of fake flash memory or is it something else? Any help appreciated thank you.

Lumia 535: Can I expand using Nokia MU44 Micro SDHC Card 16GB

Answer:Is Nokia MU44 Micro SDHC Card 16GB compatible with Lumia 535?

Yes but be aware that this is only class 4 so some lagging will/can happen.
Furthermore its already an old card which had a 5 years warranty when sold.
But yes if you have it you can use it and judge by yourself if the lagging is acceptable for you.

Answer:Re: 8GB Verbatim Micro SDHC card recognized as 1GB Micro SDHC Card

Where did you buy that 8GB SD Card? Are you sure it's genuine?

If you got it from eBay or similar, it may be a fake SD Card that is physically 1GB but reformatted and re-badged as 8GB.

We're about two weeks out from what might be the most anticipated phone release of the year - the Galaxy Note 8. After last year's Note had a defect that recalled all the units, many faithful Note users have been even more eager to get the next iteration of the device. There are a lot of things we know based on previous designs, leaks, and the Galaxy S8 lineup. We know that there will be a SKU with the Snapdragon 835. We know that there's going to be pen input included. It will have a big, tall display with rounded edges, a great camera experience, retina scanning, and an awfully placed fingerprint reader. If the S8 is any indication, we'll likely see a productivity dock that will change your Samsung into an Android computer. If the title of the article didn't tip you off enough, I'll come right out and say it - I think that list of specs is the perfect lineup for Microsoft's first Windows 10S mobile device. The Stars Align
There's been a waterfall of events that I think is leading us to this moment. First, take Microsoft: they don't have an offering right now. Windows mobile was just sent out to pasture, their Lumia brand hasn't had a new phone in almost two years, and OEM support for Windows phone was never strong. Changing the strategy a bit, CShell promises to package full Windows 10 to a screen that fits into your hand (which may be rotated 90 degrees from normal windows). They've also released Windows 10S - their operating system that will install apps only from the app ... Read more

That's because Sony only makes Android devices, and they are trying to sell their own products. iPhone doesn't use SD.

Hello and good afternoon, to u all. I have some queries on behalf of a friend of mine that uses the nokia E63 mobile fone.Firstly he didn't know what kind of memory card the fone accepts, so I checked online and confirmed that it uses the MicroSD memory card. Here:click hereOur main query is that i'm looking to get a unversal card reader for him from ebay that can read not only his Micro SD memory card, but ALSO other cards.....but we have no idea, if we'll still need to get an adaptor to insert the memory card into....or whether the card can just be inserted straight into the card reader....Here is 1 on ebay:click hereSo for example will this one work with a micro sd card and if YES.....do we still have to get the adaptor for it, or can it be inserted straight into the card reader pls????Many thanks

Answer:Nokia E63 and Micro SDHC card reader

Copied this from the specs Slot 2 - Trans Flash and Micro SDLooks like it will accept Micro SD but adapters cost practically nothing, in fact you should get one free when you buy a Micro SD card.

I purchased a 32 GB micro card on eBay a few months ago and come to find out, it was a fake. So,  I bought another one and filled it up to about 29GB and it worked fine for a few days then it just stopped working and now the phone I had it in won't recognize it's in there nor will my laptop. The difference being that at least my computer sees that something is there but won't read it i.e. it says drive h: in computer when I put it in but says insert drive when I try to access it. Also, it starts to get extremely hot after a few seconds to a minute. My husband has one as well from the same company, the same brand and has 30GB of stuff on his and hasn't had a problem yet (this has been at least three months ago now). Before anyone says it; yes it is 32GB, I tested it before I put it in my phone (thus the fact that I had 29GB of stuff on it before it went screwy), yes it is in the slot properly or else it wouldn't even say H: drive at all and no, my card reader isn't bad and yes it is compatible with my computer and the card as it is what I used to put the stuff on it originally and it still works fine with my husbands 32GB card and all of my other cards. My computer works fine with his card and it worked fine with mine before it went bad. Now, all of that being said; is there anything that can be done or will I have to just buy a new one?

Answer:Phone nor computer will recognize my micro sdhc card

Buy a new one. Price is now around $65 from on line vendors.Pardon me, but why do people put 32GB memory into a phone? That is  enough space to store all the phone numbers in the USA!A few years ago, nothing had 32 GB of anything. Let alone a phone! Am I missing something

Hello and good evening to you all. I urgently need some help please. I've had a 64gb microsd card, that ive used without any problems for about 4 years. Its been in my LG G3 handset since summer and ive had no problems until yesterday. I started getting an error message that kept saying "insert card".
I tried everything but my fone would no longer read the card. I paid for g cloud backup and i back up all my photos, and text messages, but I have a few important family videos and a short presentation that I need to get from the SD card. Any suggestions please, for ANY freeware that can get the videos please. All my pics are already backed up so that not a problem for me but i desperately need to access the card to get about 3 videos please. I dont wish to pay for any software but I need something just to access the 3 family videos and 1 church recording.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

So I've done a little homework and have decided to purchase the new Samsung 128GB SSD and upgrade the 64GB SSD currently on my x300.  I want to image the existing hard drive and copy it in totality to the new hard drive via either Rescue and Recovery or Windows Vista Complete PC Backup (preferably the latter), then swap the drives to restore as I run a ton of application software and it takes me days to get everything installed and configured. With R&R I can't get that pig to run either under Windows or at boot from theThinkVantage button, always getting "Unable to copy file" error messages with "Access is denied." Windows Vista Complete PC Backup blows chunks with "Windows could not find backup devices on your computer.  The following information might explain why this problem occurred:  Catastrophic failure (0x80000FFFF) Please close the backup application and try again." I have an external Western Digital 750GB My Book USB with plenty of space and have successfully created an R&R startup disc.  If things get ugly I'm begrudgingly okay with re-installing all my apps (Office, Rational Application Developer, MS Visual Studio, SQL Server, etc., etc., etc.), but I'd rather not if I dont' have to and I DON'T want to lose the OEM install of Vista on the HD as I do not have my own media for that, though I do have a copy of the SWTOOLS directory off the root of the SSD for everything else, plus all my application software. Any advice appre... Answer:What kind of SD card controller is in a Lenovo IdeaPad 120S-11AIP? SDHC or SDXC compatible?

Hi ITWorxLA,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As per system overview :
IO port: Memory card slot (SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC)

Platform specification:
One microSD Card slot, supports up to 2TB

Usually there would be stickers on the box or laptop to indicate the format it also supports.
You can try to find/borrow  a spare 32GB SDXC to test first before purchase.

SDHC, SDHC and miniSDHC will not work in their "regular" counterparts. Whether the slot is only an SD, rather than just not being marketed as HC capable, ask the manufacturer.

Question: Galaxy Note 4

Anyone know how this phone stacks up today? Still worth using or will it run poorly?

Answer:Galaxy Note 4

Moved to Android.
Honestly, this is a question for AndroidCentral if anything. If you ask here, you'll get more responses about Android's inferiority than would probably be helpful.
In my opinion, it's a competent phone and it'll work but I would look into using a custom ROM for up-to-date software. (but I believe you'll want to avoid carrier-branded devices in that case, I may be wrong but I believe they've mandated locked bootloaders for a while now)
It'll be stuck on Marshmallow, which'll work fine on it's hardware (my daily driver's on Marshmallow too) although I don't know how much overhead Samsung's additions add and it's probably not getting security updates. (hence custom ROMs)
I have a friend who uses a 4 as their daily and it works for them. I think the biggest question is whether you're getting it for a good price.
It also has a removable battery which is helpful in case the current one is worn out, I think it's a sizable plus, especially since the phone was released in 2014.

Will it work samsung galaxy model pen note II on Lenovo x200 tablet? This is a similar technology.

Answer:Galaxy Note II Pen......

The Samsung ATIV 500t pen works with Helix 1. The same pen used to work with the my previous owned Galaxy Tab 10.1. IMO Samsung use the same Wacom digitizer technology, so it should work but of course no guarantee for Note II pen...

I was told at Staples that Kingston Micro SDHC/SDXC Card, Class 10 UHS-I, 64GB would work for Samsung S5 phone.

Item 1265935

Model KC-C2264-2V

So I bought it since it was on sale.

When I plugged in the micro sd card to a hi capacity adapter with usb to Windows 7 computer, it shows it formatted already as ExFat format here-

My question is Samsung S5 compatible in ExFat format or Fat32 when I read or write with micro sd card inside the slot of Samsung S5 ?
Should I format it to Fat32 or it won't format as Fat32 when using 64 Gbs?

I know the previous Kingston sd card I had was 32 gbs and was Fat32 format
which worked.

Thanks

Answer:Samsung S5 phone micro sd card format for 64 gbs ?

FAT32 file system is the most compatible file system, as it can be read and written to on all platforms, but you cannot save files larger then 4Gb. exFAT, which is specifically used for USB Flash drives and Phones, no longer has this limitation and it should be compatible with your phone.

I spent over $2000 on a Dell XPS 15 a little over a year ago. It worked well until recently when the mouse touchpad became more and more difficult to operate. Although I kept trying, it eventually stopped working. I took it back to the Microsoft store where I purchased it and they immediately knew what the problem was. The tech told me he had seen it over a dozen times. He said the battery was going bad, that the cells were swelling, and asked me to turn it off while in the store for safety reasons. He said there was nothing he could do about it since it was out of warranty by 3 months and that I needed to speak with Dell.
I spoke with 5 different people in an hour. Some one from "corporate" also called me later. The second person I spoke with said they could repair it for $250, and that they would have to replace both the battery and the touchpad. He told me in the meantime to take it somewhere and have the battery removed to be safe, even if I am not going to use the laptop. After a few more people it was determined that they do not have the battery, and it could take months to get one. As I researched online I found dozens of others who had this same problem only months out of warranty, and that there is no Dell replacement. They aren't making one, probably because of the flaw that is potentially dangerous.
See my pictures of the swollen battery. Add that to the fact that it is designed under the touchpad so as the battery swells, one puts more pressure... Read more

Hi;

I am the owner of a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and a Toshiba v63700-b. The galaxy note can not support hdd because the tablet can not support enough electricity for the hdd. Is there a way to use the hdd on the tablet using a Y-cable and a USB adapter? Thanks in advance.

Answer:Galaxy note 10.1 and USB harddrive problem

I'm not sure what exactly you are proposing to do - if you want to take two USB connectors from the external drive, feed them into a Y connector and plug one USB into the tablet, most likely it will not work. Your best bet is to use an external drive with its own power supply.

I have a Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro USB Sound Card. It has S/PDIF Optical Out which works great with my surround sound system. I tried installing the drivers on Windows 8 Pro x64 but it keeps saying "Please plug-in USB Audio Device device!". When I go to Device Manager and manually try to browse to the driver to update it I get the following message:

Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.

The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.

Does anyone know of a way to get the driver to install or know of a small USB sound card with S/PDIF Optical Out that is Windows 8 compatible?

I got an 8gb micro sdHC card filled up using the adapter, with music, which plays fine.

Before I received this cheap us>microSD adapter I asked the seller if it read HC cards. They said no. It's just a cheap chinese adapter on ebay so there isn't much info on it at all. It's write up didn't say anything about HC capabilities.

Like I mentioned, I was able to use it to load up an 8gb sdHC card.

Does this mean that it will probably also work with a 32gb sdHC card? Is there a size limit that the 8gb card didn't exceed?

If yes, I'd like to buy more now because I don't think these will hold up to much use.

Thanks

Answer:Can My Usb>microsd Adapter Read Sdhc If It Fills An 8gb Sdhc Card? Seller Says It Won't.

I found the same item elsewhere on ebay which mentions that it recognizes up to 32gb, which is what I needed.

So....I suppose there are quite a few adapters out there labelled only SD but will in fact read up to at least 32 SDHC cards.

I think going over 32gb cards might require additional capabilities.

Should I do this in iMovie or would I get a better result using another app (free, preferably) and what settings should I apply?

Thanks for any help.

You could try this free video converter to join the video files together and transcode the .mts to an .mp4 file using one of the presets. Galaxy Note 4 will be able to read .mp4 files with H.264 codec.

Hi does anyone have any idea why the autoplay keeps popping up when i insert my usb card reader with a samsung micro sd card 32gb into a usb on my pc i have xp and am simply trying to copy personal media from my documents, music specifically mp3 files, and autoplay just pops up, when i click in a file right click and send to removable disc e, it has worked fine in the past with my sandisk micro sd card but this samsung is pretty bad,so i checked it in my xperia z the files i put on a while ago appear to be fin and this has just happened recently, actually an error message popped up saying would i like to format my card why would i do that there is not anywhere near enough data on to justify that yet the next time i went to my computer and removable disc e properties it said it was only a quarter full, i'd love to know what this problem is also i was getting error messsages saying certain files were corrupted but they were original discs i ripped to media player and they are fin on my sandisk, can anyone help? Much appreciated.

Answer:autplay popping up when I copy media from documents to samsung micro sd card

The Autoplay screen in xp will always come up whenever you plug in a removable device because that's how windows will ask you what do you want to do with this device. If you want to disable autoplay & have xp professional follow the steps below.

1) Click Start, click Run, type Gpedit.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
2) Under Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, and then click System.
3) In the Settings pane, right-click Turn off Autoplay, and then click Properties.

If you don't have xp professional you can still disable autoplay by going into the registry but i don't recommend going into the registry unless you know 100% what your doing because you could accidently change the wrong thing & mess up your whole computer so i would use this Microsoft fix it tool to safely disable autorun. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9741395

Hello,

I am new to the forum but have been looking around and see it's a great place for help and information so firt off thank you in advance for any and all help you guys can offer.I just bought a used galaxy note 5 with a broken power port. I have a wireless charger so I let the phone charge up as it was dead. Upon first power on it booted to the fbi ransomeware splash page . I think its the Prism variant as I see that logo in the information tab and it wants the usual payment with a OneVanilla card. I have done some reading and have removed from computers before but not from a phone. I know I need to start in safe mode to get started.

My question is this blocks use of the power button to turn off or restart the phone. Is there a way to get the phone to restart so I can boot into safe mode or is my only option to basically let the battery drain from 100% unbtil it shuts down then charge it back up then restart it going into safe mode from there?

I wasnt sure if there might be a known way to get it to reboot without waiting. This is another issue with non remoal batteries and why manufactures shouldn't use closed battery options. Any help on getting this issue resolved is greatly appreciated as I now know why the guy was giving it so low besides the broken power port lol. thanks....

Hi,

for me USB tethering of a Galaxy Note 3 and a Toshiba Satellite Z30-A do not seem to work (well) with an almost out of the box system.

I just purchased a Toshiba Satellite Z30-A with Windows 8(.1) which has been updated through Windows Update to the very latest Microsoft patches and through Toshiba tools to the latest updates there. The McAfee software product has been removed.

I can work with the Galaxy Note 3 just fine in MTP mode / charging. Alas, the moment that I switch on USB tethering on the phone, the Windows 8.1 networking subsystem goes into blocking mode and nothing comes good out of it. I tried disabling the complete IPv6 stack in Windows 8.1 but did not have all that much success.

I am using the right Remote NDIS driver (by Microsoft); I remember having successfully used USB tethering before and it seems to sort-of work on an aging Windows 7 installation with the same phone on a different laptop.

Any suggestions on how to get USB tethering to work reliably and quickly in the above setup would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that I am facing too many variables, including operating system (networking stack), the Toshiba system utilities / USB 3.0 implementation, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 firmware.

Answer:Satellite Z30-A - USB tethering Smartphone Galaxy Note 3 does not work

So ...

Windows 8.1 decided to update the Samsun USB modem "drivers"

Windows 8.1 decided to update the Visual C++ runtime library which I had had to install Samsung Kies

I decided to remove root from the phone ("unroot")

Effect:
NDIS network comes up immediatedly
12 MB/s down, 3 MB/s up

Which is when I noticed that I had run the speed check on the mobile network, not WLAN -> mobile -> laptop.
Which now also works.

*Problem solved.*

Sorry for the noise.

Question: Micro SDHC????

I just bought a 4GB Micro SDHC card that I wanted to use for storage. I plugged it in to the SD adapter and put the sucker into my SD memory card reader in my pc. Problem is that nothing happened. With normal SD cards I get the device read in and I can use it for storage.

I believe my pc is not SDHC compatible. Is there some peripheral that I can use to bridge the gap?? A cheap adapter to make it compatible???

Posting links or product names is a huge help, I cant seem to find any and am not sure if this technology even exists.

thanks

Answer:Micro SDHC????

What OS are you running?
Does it show up in My Computer? If not try this, the card may not be formatted: Start > Right click on My COmputer > Click 'Manage' > Click 'Disk Management' on the left side. See if there are any unformatted/unpartitioned devices/disks that match the capacity of your 4GB SD card.

I'm getting a Y510p with the 1TB HDD and 24GB Micro SSD. I found an Ebay vendor with 64GB and 128GB "NGFF M.2 SATA III" module that they claim will work in the Ideapad Y410p and Y510p models.  I'd link it here but Ebay links are ephemeral.  Search Ebay for "ngff ideapad" and hopefully you'll see what they have.   Ebay prices are $80 for 64GB and $140 for 128GB - and I found the 128GB for $90.  (appears to be the same supplier) Is it possible to upgrade?  If so, how difficult is it?  I will have a USB HDD, but obviously won't have two of the SSD NGFF slots.

Hi all
given the fact that some micro SDHC cards are already 32 GB capacity and it won't be too long before 64 and even 128GB one's are available -- is SSD technology --although still in its infancy already on its way out.

Seems to me that if Micro SDHC cards can reach this sort of capacity (64 / 128 GB) capacity and the electronics is fast enough --these cards will last infinitely longer than an SSD drive and won't have any of the attendant properties of these drives either.

(Having just spent nearly 400 USD on a 256 GB SSD I could have been jumping the gun).

While USB2 or even USB3 is still comparatively slow there is no reason why a micro SDHC card with the proper interface should not be faster than an SSD on an enhanced IDE / SATA bus.

Cheers
jimbo

Answer:SSD or Micro sdHC cards ??

It isn't just the memory capacity that matters. You are forgetting one very key part of an SSD....the controller. A flash memory card still needs to run over some type of connection that's inherently slower, even if it was an eSATA card-reader, or something of the sort. An SSD uses a built-in controller (Sandforce, ie) to provide direct access (and maintenance functions) between the SATA interface and the memory.

hi i recently ordered an unlocked htc shadow from newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875502026). it has a micro sd card slot in it, and i was hoping to use the phone as my mp3 player as well. So i was looking around for micro sd cards to see what i could find. Well my first problem was that normal micro sd cards only go up to 2GB. So i looked at micro sdhc (hc stands for high capacity) and i found up to 16GB. Also when i was looking at the phone specs for the htc shadow i one site said it only supported up to 4GB micro sd cards. Frankly i think thats ridiculous and the source is probably not reliable.

So what im really wondering is can i use a micro SDHC in my phone and do you think it will be able to read more than 4GB. Sorry for the long post i just want to be thorough. Anyways your answers will be much appreciated, thanks so much

-huffman

Answer:Micro sdhc in htc shadow

As you noted, there is a difference between SD and SDHC; the HC stands for High Capacity. If the device (the card reader) doesn't support SDHC, it won't work. It likely won't even see an SDHC card.
So an SDHC card won't work in that device.

Some older SD readers may not work with some SD cards over 1 GiB in size as well.

SD is for cards up to 4 GiB
SDHC is for 4 GiB - 32 GiB.
SDXC is for 32 GiB - 2 TiB

Question: Micro SDHC Classes

Does anyone know the class numbers? What's the difference between 2, 4, 6, and 10? I am looking at getting an 8GB, or possibly 16GB for my Transformer. I currently have a 4GB Class 4 in there and seems to be working fine. I had a 8GB Class 4, but I think it is bad, because it wouldn't detect it 100% of the time.

I would probably get it from Newegg or SuperMediaStore.

Answer:Micro SDHC Classes

Class numbers represent the transfer speed, the higher the class the faster the speed.

I have a motley crew of oddball SD's and Micros, some high capacity some not. so far I have not seen one that would just flat fail in system chores, but I am wondering: what brand/part, or what Spec do you experts look for in such items?? I'm sure some are faster than others, and perhaps some more durable for lots of wipes/rewrites, storage of boot records, etc? I need to get a couple of higher capacity ones and wanted some advice before ordering.

thanks!

Answer:Best SDHC or Micro for System use: Boot, tools, installs?

My answer is probably not quite what you are looking for, but I mostly just look at brand and price. I usually buy a SanDisk card because I'm familiar with the brand name and their usually a little cheaper than camparable Kingston cards. I've also only ever had one stop working in 6 years of buying them. Basically, if I haven't heard of the brand I stay away from it. since you asked about speed, below is a link to a wikipedia page that discribes the how the different speeds are catagorized for SD cards.

Complete novice here. I bought a Galaxy Tab 2 for my wife...she would like to begin keeping in touch with family and friends using Skype video. She'd also like to load her photos onto the Galaxy. Check her email. And listen to Tuned In Radio streams. That's it.
The Galaxy screen now has about 40 icons on it, and I would really like to simplify it, but not sure how to do that.
I downloaded something called GO LAUNCHER, but that seemed to make things more complicated.
Is there any easy way to simplify the screen so it has these icons only:

Skype, Yahoo Mail, Dropbox (for her photos), Internet Explorer (she occasionally tries to surf the web), Tuned In Radio (already downloaded), Xfinity TV (already downloaded.

Thanks.

What is the easiest and cheapest way to obtain an unlock code, or unlock my AT&T Galaxy S3 so I can use my T-mobile sim card?

Answer:Can I use an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 with my T-Mobile sim?

Well, for starters, it's a good idea to go to a Windows forum to ask for help with your Android phone. People love that.
Contact AT&T and demand the unlock code. They have to give it to you, but they'll give you a tough time. I assume you've owned this phone more than 45 days?

Not a PC question, but....I am considering purchasing a Sim free Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone to be used on PAYG. I am currently with T-Mobile and at this stage see no reason to move elsewhere. I realise that it will be said that it is an expensive phone to be used on PAYG and that it would be cheaper to go onto contract. My usage is such that avenue would be far too expensive, and yes, I do realise that I could have several phones for the price of the Galaxy. If the phone is purchased sim free and I use my current sim card in it, does anyone know of any differences in use of the phone attributes between it being a contract phone and a PAYG phone excepting that I would be paying for those differences? In other words would I be able to access the same content?

Answer:Samsung Galaxy S mobile

I cant see any reason why not, i think the orange version comes sim free as standard. The only benefits are contract normally includes usage for the net. Its a good phone, i myself looked into it a while back. Its as close to an iphone killer as you can get. The blackberrys have all been misunderstood by the average user, they arn't the same sort of device imho. Good choice of phone.

still within my 14 day return period with this phone and trying last minute to see if I can resolve this issueWhen searching and viewing webpages using my Data allowance on Tesco mobile which uses O2 the seaching of webpages and loading a selected site takes ages sometimes that bad timing out.I have updated my Kies software & firmware no problem. My bars which show recpetion varies a fair bit from 1 upto 4 with the slightest movement. I can make clear calls on just 1 bar so if calls are ok why is my internet on this phone so erratic. any soloution welcome or should I return the phone and go with another network provider. What I am trying to establish is, is it the actuall phone at fault or the network provider giving me the signal? i have called Tesco support and they think its Static on my Simm card

Answer:Samsung Galaxy S & Web problems

Try in an area where you know there is good reception, meaning good 3G coverage. It may also depend on the site you are trying to reach, try a few other ones, make sure your firmware is up to date. the Galaxy S should be quite fast I think it offers up to 7.2Mbit HSDPA or more.

I have a home network set up with a BT Homehub 2. In the past, my daughter has connected wirelessly to the hub on her laptop and netbook. They were visible under "My Computer" then "Network". This allowed her to pass some of her photos over to me and vice versa.
She now has a Samsung Galaxy Tab and, whilst this connects wirelessly to my hub and she can use the connection to browse the internet etc, it is not visible under "network". This means we cannot move files over anymore.
If I go into the hub properties I can see it listed as Unknown Device.
I have tried using different wireless channels (as advised by BT) but this has not made the slightest difference.
Anyone able to help me out please?

Answer:Samsung Galaxy S 2.1. to 2.2 Problematic?

Hi all, hoping some windows people can help as the Android people cannot so far, this is a PC problem. thanks for looking

Essentially my phone cannot connect with my computer, it's not the phone, as it will connect quickly and easily to a laptop running XP Pro and a desktop running Windows 7 32 bit.

I have a Intel 2500K on a ASUS P8P67 B3. When I turn the phone to USB Mass Storage mode (making the unit into 2 flash drives one internal and one called external which is my 32gb microSD card) and plug it into my computer I see 2 removable drives, say G and H - neither can be accessed and I get "please insert disk" when I try.

When I plug it into the other computers I get 2 removable disk "Autoplay" pop ups and there's an option to view folders, I never get that with my machine.

So, should I be resetting USB ports, or looking into windows autoplay settings? I'm not a pro
