IBuyPower & CyberPower PC

Question: IBuyPower & CyberPower PC

These prices look too good to be true...are they?

Relevance 100%
Preferred Solution: IBuyPower & CyberPower PC

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: IBuyPower & CyberPower PC

I should clarify -- is there an increased risk of getting a broken machine, and if that happens, how is the support? Resellerratings.com has some mixed opinions.

Does anybody own an ibuypower or cyberpower laptop??

Any experiences with these?
Are they good or bad?

The price for these seem right for a decent gaming laptop....or would I be better of with a Dell inspiration or vostro for around the same price.

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

Answer:Ibuypower Or Cyberpower Laptops?

Ummm , the styling looks a little old, like the " C " series Dell. It is also AMD. More then likely it is a good notebook. awahat you have to think about is worst case scenario, this probably will not happen, what if you have a major failure. How good are they with warranty. Will they send you the part like Dell does or will you need to send the whole notebook in. I see a lot of Dells which also means if a few years down the road you crack the LCD, you more then likely can buy one on ebay instead of paying double or triple from the OEM. Also site support like drivers. support email. How much do you have to spend ? Have you looked at alienware notebooks ( they are owned by dell)

has anyone heard good/bad things about this site?

I'm someone who lacks the ability to build their own PC and i've seen quite a few people recommend this site for building gaming rigs, so i was wondering if this is a good place to buy a PC from...

Answer:www.ibuypower.com

my desktop is an ibuypower computer which i think is pretty good but their tech support is really sh*tty and on top of that say if u purchase 2GB of ram and your motherboard will only support 1gb they will only give u the 1gb and they wont even tell that ur mobo aint compatiable with it. if u want to build a ocmputer there like i did i searches the stuff i was getting and made sure it would work with each other. but if u can get it built and it performs well its a kick ass computer like mine

Answer:Ibuypower or eMachines?

Hey.

I have never heard of an Ibuypower, but I do have an Emachine. I am still using an Emachine 333id model. I would say an Emachine. Go with what I know LOL.

I am on my 3rd machine (4th if you want to be technical). Built the third time. Build the machine if you can afford it. If you check my past post you can see just how fustrating it can be, but normally not that hard.

Having issues with BSOD and i can't find out why or how it happens. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
thank you. I've never used a forum before, and have no idea what else to do in my position. I uploaded the files that you will need to solve this if you can, thanks again. Also my temps read around 40-60 because i play mmos, and my rear fan runs hard core alot even with case open, and idk if its just the fact that its a gaming pc or if it is telling me of a soon to come heat problem.

Answer:BSOD like many others. New iBuyPower....

Hi,

Uninstall Avast then use the removal tool. Set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic and start them too, using services.msc.

Update Realtek HD Audio codec driver from their website:

RTKVHD64 RTKVHD64.sys Fri Mar 29 09:40:06 2013 (515599B6)

Update motherboard bios to newest version.

Likely that the memory is not configured well, mismatched, or defective.

Please attach a screenshot of CPU-Z first tab, one of memory tab and one each for each stick of RAM of SPD tab - along with newest crash dumps - if necessary after completing the above. (Or perhaps Avast removal is the trick instead.)

This was an "Opened and resealed" deal from nobetterdeal.com. I knew the unit wouldn't last for too long as-is but I did at least expect it to work on arrival. Out of the box it would turn on for about half a second and then it would die. After I got it opened, I reseated RAM and GPU and all of the other motherboard connections and then it would start. When I connect it to a monitor, though, the monitor  just sits there in a dormant state. BIOS doesn't even try to run. Neither the motherboard's connection nor the graphic card's will work. I know the motherboard is at least partially functional because the CPU and GPU fans are running. The tech told me it was either the motherboard or the PSU, but given that the stock PSU that they use on Amazon is only $25, I'm betting that it's the PSU, but I'm not an expert. I had the tech trace the serial number and it turns out that this website nobetterdeal bought the unit from amazon. com after a customer returned it. I have about 24 days to decide on getting a refund or keeping the parts. What do you think? Does it sound like the PSU? Or is it more likely the motherboard? Thanks!Specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte Ultra Durable GA-78LMT-USB3PSU: ALLIED ATX12V Model #:  SL-8320BTXOther Specs:     AMD FX-4130 (3.8GHz)    8GB DDR3, Power Supply: 300 WATT    1000 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive    AMD Radeon 6670 1GB    Windows 8

Answer:iBuyPower Dead On Arrival

Update: I've tried starting the computer with 1 stick of RAM installed and no RAM installed. Didn't make a difference. I've also tried starting it without the graphics card. \Also, the CD-ROM drive will not open. I've confirmed that it's connected to the PSU and the motherboard, but no love. I'm not really sure what that implies. If it sounds like the PSU I think I'll take the plunge and buy another one for $25. If it might be the motherboard too..idk.

I found a really decent laptop from iBuyPower.com, but I have a concern about it.

When I google search P170EM, I find that it's made by "CLEVO". And that it's listed a LOT cheaper at other places. I'm willing to spend $1700 on a laptop with no questions asked. But if I can get it cheaper, and more options, then I'll go that route. So what gives? I also find that Sager NP9170 is extremely familiar to the one at ibuypower.com

Either way, what are some good websites that offer gaming laptops? I've been messing with iBuyPower, SagerLaptops.. I'd REALLY like to have a AsUS laptop but I can't configure them :'(

Hey all, new to the forums and in pretty serious need of some help. I bought an IBUYPOWER prebuilt gaming rig last... April I think, and its been working great for me. Recently however ( the last month or so), the sound keeps going out. It went out for about a week before randomly coming back (nothing I did), and now its been gone for about 2-3 weeks. The sound icon down by the clock shows a red x and says that no speakers are plugged in. I've tried a bunch of things to try and get my audio back on, but no luck. I'm not sure what I would need to provide here for anybody to help me, or what I SHOULDNT post for security reasons, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some important notes
*I have Windows 7
*I have two jacks for my speakers, one in the back where you would typically expect to find one, but also an additional one in the front panel. Neither one apparently works, leading me to believe its a driver issue.
*Gosh idk what else to put down! any help would be greatly appreciated, I used to think I was capable with computers but this seems to be beyond me

Hi everyone...I'm in the process of getting a new computer and I'm currently looking at this online place called www.ibuypower.com ... basically that site lets you choose the components and they'll put it together for you. I searched the parts on NewEgg and the price actually came out higher hahah

Anyway, what's troubling me is that a look at their ratings at ResellerRatings.com is "great" http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2001-p3-s1-d1.html

So my question is has anyone here had experiences with that company along with suggestions, etc. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone out there know if the iBuypower computers or other computer out there on like Tigerdirect or the ZT brands from Costo are any good? I've never heard of them but keep seeing them popping up everywhere....

I've only ever had a Dell, HP or Gateway machine.

Answer:iBuypower and other non-namebrand computers

They're most often made from quite much better quality parts than Dell, etc as they don't get exclusively extra cheap motherboards and other parts like the big brand companies. They do sometimes use lower quality power supplies though, quite a feat considering what the factory built boxes have. I wouldn't recommend getting any of them without modifying it yourself and selecting a quality power supply for it, or replacing it yourself to save a few dozen dollars, as well as getting a longer warranty for the PSU.

Question: CyberPower

I've been planning on buying a configured system from CyberPower (Socket AM2 configurator), but my parents (more my mom) are doubtful even though I thought I had sufficient evidence to prove CyberPower is a reputable company with quality products.
For some reason my mom always has to do "the research" (which usually means aimlessly Googling for eight hours a day for at least a week), and because she knows little about computers she doesn't really know what she's doing other than finding reviews and comparing CyberPower to other companies. She just showed me a list of other companies I could buy from. Among these were Alienware, Dell (XPS), Gateway, HP, and a couple others that I know I don't want to buy from because of either the price, limited hardware flexibility, and/or feedback. I respect that she's trying to save me trouble, but I'm sure I've done the research on CyberPower and other companies. I've been to numerous feedback sites (resellerratings, epinions, and a couple others) and reported my finds, yet she's never satisfied. She finds one bad thing and dwells on finding more negative feedback. She keeps reporting things like crappy wiring (I'm getting professional wiring) and loud fans (as long as they work I don't care, but I'm getting liquid cooling). What's funny is that she's reading all these technical things, yet she has no idea what it means!
As for my dad, he knows quite a bit m... Read more

Question: CyberPower PC?

I hope this is the right place to put this thread. I can't figure out where this should go...

Anyhow, I'm thinking of purchasing a custom-built PC from CyberPower PC. Has anyone here dealt with them? Before purchasing from them, I want to make sure they're a worthwhile company.

I can't find many ratings for them, but the few I have found I've seen good and bad. So I'm not really sure what to think about them. One thing I read a lot about was that their customer service isn't very good. Though I Emailed them a question and I recieved a reply within the hour... Of course, that was through Email...

The PC I'm thinking of buying is this, and it comes to roughly $2,800...

Answer:CyberPower PC?

Personally I did buy from them. And i Regret every minute of it. My case came damaged, wouldn't boot and took them another month to get it back to me (with new scratches and the same parts (i wrote down the serial numbers)). Last PC I bought from a manufacturer.

And yes, tech support licks fuzzy ones, unless your fluent in Indian. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get them to service my computer!!

As far as components:
That computer, brand new from NewEgg, would cost ya about $2200

There are some pretty major components in there that i dont know ya need.
The Geforce 8600 - At least get the 8800, more stable and much better in general.

1200W PSU, Quad SLI and 1 Video card - Uber overkill - at least get 2 cards so you can run SLI, and if you really think you need 4 video cards for anything, you wouldn't be looking at a retail store to sell it to ya..you'd be custom building.

The intel is nice yes, but you can save $100 and get a 2.5GHz and not notice. (unless you plan on running Unreal 3, Doom, Oblivion, Warcraft, and Halo at the same time)

Whatever you do....DO NOT USE CYBERPOWER!!! They got shinny adds but you dont want the headache

Hey!
What seems to be wrong us that the UEFI can't seem to detect the harddrives when determining boot order? That's my best guess. I really have no idea. If I load Bootable media, such as my installation drive, it detects it just fine and all my components are fine and I'm able to format and install as I please.
However, I'm unable to access the UEFI configuration, as the pc just stops.
Twice in the past few days it's been able to work itself out and boot as normal, so I know it's not a harddrive issue, but it's extremely rare.
I formatted and installed a fresh windows on a secondary drive to see if that would help to both avail.
I have a video showing what happens, but I can't upload it

Back in December 2009 I bought a computer from iBuypower. I have just recently noticed how slow the install is because I got a new copy of Windows 7 for my 13inch MacBook Pro(2.66 Core2, 4GB RAM) and it seems to run games faster and be more stable. Question: Cyberpower Drivers

Hi all,
I just got a cyberpower x7-7500 laptop.

I'm not sure if I am in the right forum, but if not I am sure the excellent moderators of this site are capable of moving my thread. If that turns out to be needed, my apologies to all moderators.

Anyways.

I'm thinking of just buying my next gaming PC from CyberPower, rather than going through the hassle of building it myself, and I am interested in reviews of the company. I have done some research on it, and like what I see, and now I want to hear from someone who actually had to call their customer support, or from someone who bought a PC from them and has had nothing but joy (or sorrow) since.

I know I could build my own, and believe me the thought has crossed my mind many times, but I find that I am simply too lazy. I used to build my own because of the large amounts of money I saved, and because that was the only way to get a powerful gaming system, but that's not the case anymore. I find myself more than willing to pay someone else to spend the necessary hours on assembling, configuring, and testing a virgin system.

So hit me with reviews and opinions. Please?

Question: CyberPower Systems

Does anyone know anything/have any experience with a CyberPower system? I recently saw an add for them in PC Gamer. Their prices seem almost too good to be true. If they are reliable and good, however, I may end up buying one.

Here's their web site:

http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/

Answer:CyberPower Systems

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller6897.html

Read some reviews?

IBuyPower has better ratings and just as good prices (very low)...Their reseller rating is higher, and they both have a HUGE amount of Posotive reviews.

^_^ =P

EDIT: I just forgot to add this Even though, let's say you customize one to have the same specs of..let's say an alienware? And you know, it's a couple hundred+ less...Well uhm, how would it stack up with gaming compared to the AW 51M, the XPS, or a laptop that is "MEANT" for gaming.. That's my overall question =P

Unfortunately, I did. To buy the components from Newegg would have only saved me $70 so I didn't think it was worth my time to build it myself. Oh how naive! Monday, I will be returning it for a full refund.

Upon arrival, the case fans were not even hooked up.
The first bootup informed me that Windows was not shut down properly last time.
Generic drivers were installed and Windows 7 had not been updated at all.
I paid $130.00 for Win 7 Pro, yet was only given a generic CyberPower disk. Thus, a true clean install is impossible.
Only the mo-bo came with any documentation. For all I know, my video cards are refurbished.
The liquid cooling hoses are ZIP-TIED, not clamped. Condensation abounds.
The front USB, audio, and eSATA ports were not plugged in!!! As it turned out, they used wires that were far too short and the connectors will not even reach the front ports. Seriously. Instead of re-running the wires (which are super-glued to the case, btw) they simply glued the end of the cables to the case. That way, the customer would not hear the unconnected cable rattle around. This proves that they knew the front ports were not connected and tried to cover up their horrible craftsmanship.

Answer:Do not purchase a CyberPower PC

You can't compare self built PC's to manufacture built PC's of course, thats silly.
A mere $70 is a [email protected] good price, even if they weren't perfect with construction. I would certainly recommend cyberpower over dell/hp/emachine...
You should't be asking for an expensive high end build off them anyway.

Hey everyone,
I have a 2 year old laptop and two weeks ago it stopped charging. So I took it to a repair shop that fixed it and then this week it stops charging. My wife and I noticed a funny smell the past few days. I am short on cash so we i opened my laptop up and took my motherboard out. It is dark brown all around the dc jack and there are melted parts that dripped down.
Can anyone tell me what should be my next step? Can I fix this? Or is it not possible?
I have some pics attached.

I'm just going to make a long story short and say this: I bought an ibuypower laptop (Battalion HEL80) a while back and I had to format. Unfortunately I don't have the driver disk for my network card (wired and wireless) and I don't know what the exact model or who the manufacturer is. Does anyone know what kind of card this laptop would have or know of some way I could get the model number?

Answer:Can't find network drivers for ibuypower laptop

I believe it uses an Intel 945PM chipset.

If so it probably uses an Intel NIC. You can download the chipset drivers from here: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=N&ProductID=816&DwnldID=12150&strOSs=45&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Home%20Edition&lang=eng
And the NIC drivers from here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scr...&OSFullName=Windows* XP Home Edition&lang=eng

Hi Jage_B. Try an application like Everest. It should be able to tell you who the manufacturer is of all of the hardware components in the system. Whether or not drivers are available is another question lol. Here's a link for Everest: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System...e-Edition.shtmlCheers.OT

Hi all - just bought a Cyberpower Gaming Warfare Xtreme, which arrived today, very exciting.
I've connected it up via HDMI (I don't have a DisplayPort cable to hand), to a monitor I know if working fine. There is just the one HDMI connection on the back of the PC.
On pressing the power button, the fans and lights are working fine, however there is no signal going to the monitor. No beeps etc from the PC. I've taken the case apart, press all parts firmly in, just in case they came loose in transit.
Any ideas?
Cheers

I am hoping someone can help me. I bought from walmart, a CyberpowerPC Desktop several months ago. Within the last two months or so, my computer has randomly shut down. No warning anything. It stays off, until I turn it back on it. Therefore unlike so many others from researching, my pc is not doing random restarts. Merely shutting down.

Thinking it was my PSU, I put in a different one, a Zalman, 850Watt PSU (Used, was given to me by a friend.) into my system. It still just powered down. No warning. I could be just checking my email, watching netflix or playing a game. No one thing causes it to power down over the other.

Upon checking around, I downloaded Speedfan, however, there are no tempature results, as shown in the screenshot included.

My PC Specs are as follows:

I've had my cyberpower gaming PC for around 2 months. It's been working fantastic until around 2 weeks ago. The internet suddenly started being weird, and I don't completely understand it. I haven't been able to browse the web when it says I'm connected to the network and internet. From help I got earlier, apparently these pcs are netorious for their Network adapters? I almost gave a up a week ago, but then, randomly, everything was fine again. So I've been going by normally, but it's happening again. I'm able to connect perfectly well on other devices to the same router.

I just bought one of these:

Intelligent LCD Series - CP1350AVRLCD | CyberPower Systems, Inc.

Win 7 immediately identified it and automatically configured the battery runtime options. Is it advantageous in any way to install and use the CyberPower software instead? I prefer to let hardware stuff like this be handled directly by the OS unless there is a good reason not to. I've never had a UPS before so this is a new one for me.

Thanks!

Answer:CyberPower UPS Software Question

The only advice I can give on this is; try it this way for a couple of weeks and jot down some notes on it's behavior and how it's doing. Then run the software for a couple of weeks and take some notes exactly as you did before and then compare.

Today my boss got her new laptop from IBUYPOWER (Gaming Computers and Gaming Notebooks - Buy a new Gaming PC - iBUYPOWER). When I checked the package contents it included a slip of paper that has the Microsoft labeling with Windows 7/Windows Vista product key on it. When me and her chose the laptop we opted for the $25 dollar mail-in-rebate for the upgrade. I don't know about you guys but I was VERY surprised and am a little hesitant to perform an upgrade with the RTM ISO and type in the key...

What do you guys think?

I have a cyberpower PC connected to my Samsung HDTV 40 inches via HDMI, and only sound that comes out is the computer sound. If I raise the TV volume to say 60. There is a noticeable difference. Yet when I lower my PC volume to 10 and raise the TV volume to 80. There is no difference. It still sounds like it's stuck at 10. This is a new PC, Fairly new TV with new HDMI.

Would love to use my TV as a the PCs main volume so movies aren't so low. As a workaround I usually just use headphones, but it's getting annoying.

I bought a computer from Cyberpower, INC. I got a 2.6ghz intel, 4 256mb ram sticks, 80gb hd, p4p800 asus motherboard cpu from cyberpower in mid-2003. I already had a nvidia gforce 5200 128mb video card, my own win-xp pro, creative labs extigy(usb) sound card, microsoft wireless desktop keyboard and mouse, and a softk56 pci modem which I installed on arrival. The reason I bought this computer was for online gaming. It came in and I was in HEAVEN because I had my new gaming system.

I had to disable the on-board sound card because I was using the extigy. I use the on-board network with my cable modem.

The problem is, when using my cable modem and playing memory-intensive online games such as everquest or warcraft3 I sometimes(often at least 20 times an hour) get a short "scratch" sound out of my speakers upon which I will immediately get lag in the game I'm playing. In warcraft3, it isn't very easy to tell unless the game actually pauses for your lag to go away which it does almost always, but in everquest it is much easier to tell because they have a connectivity meter which tells your ping and percent of packet loss. When the scratch sound goes through, the packet loss meter will go sometimes up to 50% and 9 times out of 10 go back to 0%. Other times, I will lose the connection completely and have to log back onto the game.

When using my pci modem for dialup, I get the scratch sound often, but it doesnt necessarily coincide with the lag issues, the lag is... Read more

Hello. I read up on Cyberpower at resellerratings, and most people seem to be satisfied. However, I would like to call upon the assistance of those who have used this brand before so that I can decide if this is a good recommendation or not. The reason why I am asking is that there was one particular gaming system by CyberPower that sold for ~$540 at NewEgg and it seemed like a really great value.

Answer:Is Cyberpower a good choice for a computer?

Not really. Cyberpower is at risk of going off the books. If they do go bankrupt, where do you get parts, service, updates, drivers, etc.
Many of their motherboards are questionable... made under license by inferior companies.
Would you buy an eMachine if you could have a Gateway or a Dell for the Same money?
For the little money you save, they are simply a bad investment...

Hello. I have a question that I need your expert opinion. I am needing to replace my UPS battery backup system. I had have an APC unit for 5 years [Back-UPS 725 ES – been discontinued now for some time). The battery is long dead and there was hardly any runtime when I did a power failure test over a year ago anyways. Finally, the battery bit the dust (dead). This battery longevity, as some experts have told me is excellent. Some experts have told me that the wattage rating this old unit is rather low and get a newer one with higher wattages.

I am looking at the Cyberpower CP900AVR UPS - 900VA/560W AVR 8-Outlet RJ11/RJ45/Coax Tower EMI/RFI USB as a replacement. This will give me a slightly longer runtime. I am also looking at the APC Back-UPS RS

If you've seen me on here before it's probably because I was whining about how my computer would never boot correctly. Well, I've decided to replace it. It's well past it's prime. So I couldn't find a pre-made(I suppose you'd call it that) computer that was anywhere close to being as gamer friendly as my current one without it costing thousands of dollars. Then I stumbled upon Cyberpower's site and found that I could custom-make one that didn't cost quite as much as one of the pre-made ones.(Which I find sorta surprising, maybe I messed up somewhere...)Here's the result I got using a Gamer Ultra 7500:http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saving/show.aspx?id=2444459(If this link doesn't work then check the system.txt file attached to this post.)Now I am rather ignorant when it comes to what hardware matches up with what, so I wanted to have someone with more experience tell me if I've managed to build a working desktop or not. I guess the first question would be does that desktop configuration work? Also as you can see from the link(or file) I put in a nVIDIA 9800GT graphics card along with a SLI enabled mobo. I already have a 9800gt in my computer I'm using at the moment, so...Will two nVIDIA 9800GTs work together in SLI mode? Will they fit onto the mobo I chose together?(I ask this because the card I have right now barely fits into my current computer by itself. It's a rather bulky card.)If I run two nVIDIA 9800GTs to... Answer:Building a Custom Cyberpower PC (Lots of Questions)

My first thought on reading the system.txt file is that the PSU is extremely bad quality and should be avoided at all costs. My second is that the motherboard isn't a great choice.  Yes, it will support SLI with the two 9800GTs, however I've always found Nvidia chipset based boards to be far inferior to AMD or Intel chipset boards in terms of performance and reliability.Third, the case is also bad quality (leaving aside aesthetics considerations as everyone will have a different opinion on whether or not it looks nice). As for your other questions - two 9800GTs would, assuming a midrange system to match the cards, require a quality 500W PSU or better.  The 450W recommendation you quoted is most likely from the board manufacturer or Nvidia themselves - they recommend a higher wattage than necessary.  A 9800GT would be fine on a quality 300W PSU although I'd recommend more, however it wouldn't work with, for example. a low quality 500W PSU.Compare the different features of the Windows 7 editions before choosing one.  Most people do not need the Professional edition - check this link to see what additional features it has over the usual choice of Home Premium.64-bit vs 32-bit - I have a hard time recommending anyone to buy the 32 bit version nowadays.  Put simply, 64-bit supports more RAM and if you run any 64 bit applications it will run them faster.  The downside is that some older hardware and software will not be compatible, so... Hello,
I am looking into getting a Pure Sine Wave UPS for my gaming rig, and I read some good reviews for the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD.

Some issues keep bothering me before placing an order though:

1. Is this UPS Pure Sinewave? Looking at this page: https://www.criticalpowersupplies.co...PFC-1500VA-UPS It says the UPS is Pure Sinewave in the Features and Benefits section, but in the Product Description it says Adaptive Sinewave. Anyone care to shed some light on this? This review: CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD - Enthusiast Power Protection: Four-Way 900 W UPS Roundup states ' the CP1500PFCLCD is also the only unit that has not fully replaced step-wave with pure-sine-wave circuitry, instead opting for a modified triangular wave that CyberPower calls ?Adaptive Sinewave?'

2. I read that UPS's lose some wattage due to efficiency. Will this loss from efficiency negatively impact my system? I'm cutting it quite close with a 600W PSU, so I need to be sure that the efficiency loss will still provide enough power for my system. I record while gaming, so my usage is quite high.

My specs are:
i7-4790 Haswell
GTX 980Ti 6GB RAM
32 GB RAM
256 GB SSD (for OS and some games)
4TB 7200 HDD (for storage)
3TB 7200 HDD (for recording onto)
600W PSU 80+
DVD Drive

Using a PSU calculator it says my wattage is 550W, so that's why I said I'm cutting it close with a 600W PSU.

3. About efficiency and Pure Sinewave, do these factors only apply when its on battery power, or also when d... Read more

I can only commiserate with you as I went through a similar problem with a MCE/Media Center Enterprises Notebook about 8 years ago. Turned out MCE bought the assembled-to-order Notebooks from an assembly plant in China and used Compal motherboards. They offered an unheard-of 4 year warranty but sure enough, at 3 years of my ownership of the Notebook they went out of business before they could get mine fixed the second time I had to send it in. Because of the way Notebooks are made there's not much else one can do, just hope parts are still available. When my clients run into such problems I advise to just get a new one as a replacement motherboard and repair labor will usually be half the cost of a comparably-performing new unit that will have at least a 1-year warranty.

Hello. I have a question that I need your expert opinion. I am needing to replace my UPS battery backup system. I had have an APC unit for 5 years [Back-UPS 725 ES ? been discontinued now for some time).

[Website: http://www.amazon.com/Cyberpower-CP...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1285805199&sr=1-1] I like this because this unit has TWO (dual) 12 V batteries. This will give me a slightly longer runtime. I am also looking at the APC Back-UPS RS
Power-saving Back-UPS Pro 1000 - APC Back-UPS RS, 600 Watts / 1000 VA,Input 120V / Output 120V. [Website: http://www.amazon.com/APC-BR1000G-O...4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1286687746&sr=1-4 ] I THINK this newer version of APC has a dual 12 V batteries as well. Both this battery backups are very good units.

Now, I am told that the Cyberpower CP900AVR UPS has an issue reported by someone that their unit trips when a print from a color laserjet printer is executed. [Website: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...yMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=t... Read more

Answer:RE: Is Cyberpower Battery Backups Sensitive To Tripping?

I'd say that if this report is only from one person, it could be that their wall outlet wiring needs checking or replacing, it may otherwise be that their printer has a fault that's causing it or even the surge protector it was connected to.

Answer:So building a computer through Cyberpower PC, is this a good build?

That looks okay but you would be much better removing the liquid cooler and spending the money on an even better video card. Also, what power supply is selected there?  The default ones that Cyberpower put in their builds are generally pretty bad so I would ensure that you pick a better one.

Hello all,

I can't run Cyberpower's PowerPanel on my Win 7, 64 bit computer. It downloads and seems to install ok but as soon as I launch it I get the common Visual C++ runtime error abnormal termination error. It at least launches (although doesn't operate quite correctly) when I change the user on my computer which leads me to think it has to do with security or permissions? It also runs fine on two other laptops we own. I have tried everything to solve this including:

installing and reinstalling PowerPanel multiple times
uninstalling and updating all Visual C++ runtime redistributables
virus scan (no problems)
sfc /scannow (no problems)
clean boot (disable all startup, disable all services)
safe mode
safe mode with networking
disk cleanup in system tools

None of the above solved the problem.

The fact that it will at least launch and run when I change users on my computer gives me hope! Otherwise I am pulling my hair out! Thanks for any help!

Hey there,

I have about $1,500 dollars to spend on a new computer give or take, and I dont feel comfortable enough to build my own so i've been waiting for the i7-2600 to come back out and I saw this one at costco... http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11513502&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|84|56671|78518&N=4047242&Mo=37&pos=0&No=5&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=78518&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10600-Cat56671&topnav= (i would have to add a video card to it)...
or if someone could build me one at www.ibuypower.com for the same kind of cash that would be awesome as well.

Thanks in advance,
Brannon
