Preferred Solution: Outook sending error

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Outook sending error

Open Outlook ExpressClick Tools > Accounts > Mail tab.Highlight your email account and click Properties.Click the Advanced tab.Remove ticks from the boxes "This server requires a secure connection" for both outgoing and incoming mail.

Hi Guys 'n Gals

Newbie from South Africa and like most I have to kick off my first post with a problem.

I am running a 6 PC peer to peer network at work with one person in particular who pays no attention to the dangers out there especially when it comes to e-mail attachments.

Since coming back from our Seasonal vacations our e-mail accounts are being blocked by our ISP due to a suspected mailbot with this error message:-

"Sending' reported error (0x800CCC67) : ' The server responded: 421 4.0.0 Intrusion prevention active for [41.145.22.134]'"

I have on one PC run 'Malwarebytes Anti-Malware', SuperAntispyware, ExterminateIT and Combofix' I want to add that your instructions for running Combofix were a great help as I rate myself as "mid stream computer literate."

Anyway the problem disappeared for one day and promptly returned this morning and would appreciate any help in identifying the infected PC and clearing the infection, and will the cleaning last long enough for me to clear the other machines 1 day at a time?

5 of the PCs are running 'AVG free' and 1 is running Avira Pro. (I think - bosses laptop and I don't have access at the moment)

Any help will be appreciated.

Answer:Microsoft reports "Sending error" when sending e-mail

Hello having run ComboFix we need to see that and a DDS log. Please go here....Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9 which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.Skip the GMER step and instead post the ComboFix log you have.Let me know if that went well.

Afternoon to you all.I am using Outlook 2010. If I click a link contained in an e-mail I get the following message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator" I am useing a personal laptop, Win7 and I am logged on as administrator. Any ideas anyone?ThanksBill

Answer:Help using Outook 2010

If it is only that one Email, I would guess Outlook classes it as a security risk/virus/trogan and will not allow it.You could check the security settings (may be set too high)or if it is an attachment, you may have to save it first, before trying to open it.Terry

Hi

I always keep a backup of my Outlook .pst file just n case I need it...

Just doing a back up and notice that the files do not have any association linked... I am sure it used to show the Outlook icon but can't be sure... can anyone confirm this.. I did try to link to Outlook but is failed...

This is what I mean...

This is what I get when I try to associate it to Outlook... Which seems odd... unless it is because Outlook is open?

Answer:Outook Office 365 .pst

Mine have the Outlook association, I'm using the Office 2016 package rather than the Office 365 but should be same.

I would advise you use the installer (uninstaller - Change), to do a repair rather than manually setting the association as the Office associations are not standard

Question: outook calendar

Bought a new laptop, took my Office 2000 Professional to be installed, instead he put on another Outlook. I installed Outook 2000, removed his program and now I get an error re:pst file. Any idea why I can't send/receive mail?

Question 2: My three year old laptop worked fine until the power cord somehow pulled the plug-in from the motherboard. Repair shop kept it for three weeks, said they soldered it several times and it wouldn't hold, so they sold me a new one. Did I get ripped off or is it next to impossible to fix?

Thanks so much for any advice given,
PattyB

Answer:outook calendar

Hello and Welcome to TSF

I cannot answer your first question, there is not enough information to go off of. You need to post a complete error message and when you recieve this error.

As for question 2, yes you can solder those connections back on to the motherboard but sometimes they dont hold as they stated. You may just have had a unexperienced person do the soldering, hard to tell.

I finally ditched Outlook for my emails and went with Thundrbird, which looks like a great program. However, I still have to rely on Outlook for the Calender and Tasks features. I looked around a little, and found Lightning, but the reviews where not completely supportive. And I would like to have it integrated in my email client, so Sunbird is probably out.

What are others using? Likes and dislikes?
Thanks

Here we go again - another problem with Outlook, but this time I think it is Yahoo UK (please note UK):

I have had 1 email acct with gmail and 2 email accts with Yahoo UK. They have worked fine until a few days ago. When I try send/receive one Yahoo account came up with error 0x800CCC92. I finally removed it and when I tried putting it in as new, the test message would not work. After repeated attempts, I now can send for some reason, but for receiving I get:

Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Your email server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR (AUTH) Incorrect username or password.

I can access my email on the web for that account with no problem. All of the settings are exactly the same as the Yahoo account that works and I still cannot get the incoming to work on this one.

Any ideas?

Answer:Outook 2010 ERR (AUTH)

2 days after this post, Yahoo sent & received with no problems and I did nothing to make that happen. All was fine until today - it is happening again!

I looked around and for some reason I can't create a email template in outlook 2007.
I found this:

Save the email as a template. Select the "Office" button, and then "Save As" in the "Save as type" drop-down list. Select "Outlook Template." Give the template a name, and choose a file location, or accept the default folder of "Templates." Click "Save."

BUT there is no option in the SAVE AS drop down menu for Save As Template....

Answer:Can't create outook template

HiI don't use Outlook. However I do use other Office applications. When I want to save a Document or Excel Template I click on File on the toolbar and select Save as.In the dialog box that opens, I click on the down arrow at the end of the box that says Save as type and this gives me the options to save the file as a template (amongst other things).

I was a former Outlook 2002 or similar early version Outlook user and I upgraded to Outlook 2007 which assummed the earlier settings.

No email messages are now downloaded directly to the inbox in Outlook 2007!

Instead if I click on the Tab, Search Folders (below the Tab, Inbox) and then immediately return to the Inbox Tab, the downloaded messages will appear in the Inbox Tab.

This is entirely frustrating since I tend to view emia messages multiple times during the day.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.. I have a number of Outlook pst files from different versions of Outlook and I want to be able to read and extract emails into a new .pst file for Outlook 2003 (or a number of .pst files as I have a lot of emails going back some years!). I also want to extract all contacts into a .csv file so I can transfer them into various other address books such as Outlook Express, XING etc. Anyone know of a really excellent application that will allow me to do this? Thanks Richard

I created a database in Access 2007. I am a relative newbe at this. One of the functions that I am using is a macro that Microsoft supplied as part of a Contacts table/form template to add Contacts from Outlook to the Contacts table in the the database. It was working just fine until I split the database, putting the tables on a server and the front end on my local PC. After splitting, it will no longer work. I have spent hours searching the Web and found 100's for people asking the same question, but no solution. Front and back end files are all in Trusted locations. Went back to a copy of the pre-split database (which still worked) and copy the object to the new split database. Would not work in the new database. . Saw some talk about using a temp Contacts table, but it did not give enough detail for me to follow.

Anyone have any ideas

Thanks

I am operating on Windows 7 OS and am having difficulty with Outlook for Office 2010. It always asks for a password each time I sign on and when I open an email. For some reason it doesn't store my password.

Answer:Outook 2010 always requires password

That problem is by no means unique to Outlook 2010, it happens also on Outlook 2007 and on the version before that, and neither is it unique to Windows 7.

Try putting your POP3 server name and password into the "Credential Manager" in Control Panel. For good measure I entered my email credentials twice -- in "Windows Credentials" and in "Generic Credentials". I hardly see that pesky password prompt since doing that.

I've been having problems with Outlook Express crashing and/or having problems that keep giving me an error message about the log file being too big or something. I keep my sent file folder and deleted file folder relatively empty. My inbox has less than 20 items in it, none of them huge. Can anyone tell me how and where I can fix this? If there is no fix, if I download a new copy of Outlook Express over the old one, will my address book reamin in tact? Thanks for your help.

Answer:Outook Express - log file problem

Try some maintenance first and see if this helps to clear it up.
Close all programs except Outlook Express, including any antivirus programs you may have running.

First in OE, Tools>Options>Maintenance, uncheck the option for: Compact messages in the background and leave it unchecked from now on.

File>Folder>Compact all Folders. Leave the computer alone until it has completed compacting.

Let us know if this resolves the problem or not.

Can someone let me know what I need to to in order to transfer my Favorites, my Address Book entires, and my EMails? I need pretty complete guidance such as where to find the items on my current computer and where to put the items once I get them onto my new computer.

Hi,

I have encountered this problem within the last month much to my annoyance.
After speaking to everyone possible e.g. ISP and E-mail hosting company, IT
friends no-one can solve it. Oh i have a pop 3 account.

To hopefully move things along quicker i have tried the following:

1) I have deleted all e-mail accounts and re-entered them with SMTP
authentication ticked every time.
2) My e-mail account has been set up on another computer and sending e-mail
is fine.
3) I have re-set my computer to factory settings and re-installed Microsoft
Office and tried setting up my e-mail account again to no avail.
4) Deleted all anti virus software as had 'Norton' installed which i've heard
can effect this sort of thing, especially if it conflicts with other software.

5) Tried using Outlook Express but have the same problem
6) There are probably more but cant remember now!!!!!
7) Oh yes trawled the internet for a solution and found nothing i havn't
tried.

PLEASE help me as this is a business e-mail and although i can use webmail i
do not have all the other stuff contained in Outlook.

I have not tried setting up another e-mail account (not outlook) but dont
really want to unless i have to.

All help greatly appreciated

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me with an Outlook 2007 issue a user has been having. Last week, our exchange server was flooded by a lot of e-mails, causing our users messages they tried to send out to fail and given a Outlook delivery delayed message for each. The issue was solved but I have one user who still has a delivery delayed mail in this inbox and upon trying to open it, Outlook crashes and if you try to deleted it, you get the message:

"One or more items in the folder you synchronized do not match. To resolve the conflicts, open the items, and they try this operation again."

I was thinking this notification was in sync with the e-mail that was delayed, so I did a search and couldn't not find anything related to it. Any ideas on who to get rid of this troublesome message?

I know there have been some posts going back over a year, but none of them fully solve this issue. For years, the best way to sync Outlook 2010(without corporate exchange server) to the windows phone has been to use the Google Calendar connector to get to their cloud and then onto the Windows phone. This had the advantage of doing two-way synchronization and working with the default calendar in Outlook (the existing .PST file).
Google fully discontinued this service on August 1. Microsoft does not have as simple a solution. The two options I've seen for cloud syncing are to use the Microsoft Hotmail Connector and to use Google App Sync. The Hotmail Connector does not work with the default Outlook profile which means than when an invitation is received from any email account other than hotmail/outlook.com it saves to the default calendar, and you then have to copy it to the hotmail calendar in order to sync. The Google App Sync requires a whole different profile with a migration which is an equally big headache or possibly greater. So, neither of these options work without making a lot of manual intervention.
I've been using a local sync program called CompanionLink to sync contacts, notes and tasks. It can sync the calendar but has a couple of disadvantages. 1) you need to manually sync calendar which is not good if constantly on the go and always want to have your appointments. 2) CompanionLink does not feed appointments into the native calendar so it won't appear on the loc... Answer:How to sync Outook 2010 (non-corporate) with Windows phone?

Frankly the best solution is to sign up for MS Office 365. The cheapest plan (Exchange Online) is $4 per month per user, so for $48/year, you'll get seamless sync of contacts, calendar, tasks, and if you choose, email and more, across Outlook and Windows Phone.
Not free, but works much better than Google's App Sync, the Hotmail Connector, and any of the local sync solutions, and it'll work great with any other devices you add in to sync with (since everything supports EAS).

Centred apparently on the "T" key, a combination of keystrokes reduces the display size of text I type. At enormous waste of time, each occurrence can be remedied, via the View tab in Outlook 2007, then the "zoom" facility. But how do I a) locate the set up instructions for this shortcut, and b) alter or reload them?

I'm a reasonably sensitive typist: this glitch is wasting sooo much of my time. Am in the dire straights of using new Windows 7, with new Office 2007 apps, on a new laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1545.

Advice on shortcut set-up in Outlook 2007, and or in Windows 7 will be much appreciated. Thanks

Answer:Outook 2007 or Windows 7 keyboard shortcut, reducing size of display text.

Is it a laptop you are using.....if so are you sure its not the zoom function on the touch pad

I use Outlook for email, from Office 2007 Professional because the accounting program and my Palm Pro PDA likes it.

Just recently I have had a couple of complaints that emails with a video attached I have forwarded have been delivered to the addressee in excess of 30 or 40 times.

The latest was last night when one of my sons said he had received it 104 times, and another friend in the USA 99 times, needless to say both aren't happy, the video was a wmv (3mb).

When my son called me a an hour or so later it was still in my outgoing mail box, obviously because it was still sending.

I have run full AV scan using Esset Nod32 which came up clean, so I’m at a loss where else the problem is or where/what to look for.

Thanks for reading…..Any clues/help would be appreciated.

Question: Fax sending error

Brother MFC490CW All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier doesn't want to send faxes to 800 nos. with my new VOIP service, Phone Power. No problem sending local faxes to 7-digit phone nos. Fax handshake seems to happen after a few rings. Followed by around 1 minute of silence, then error code 2001 or 2002 together with busy tones. Fax verifies as NG or BUSY. Phone Power said they don't support faxing and won't help. Brother says my phone service is the problem and suggest I use a different phone service to fax from. I think there is a configuration problem with my Brother MFC490CW or with the Linksys WRT300N router which a Phone Power techie configured when I started service. Can anyone suggest where I start troubleshooting?

OS: Win 7 64-bit -- new install less than 1 month -- all updates ran

When using Windows Fax and Scan most faxes are able to go out. There is a certain Spreadsheet that cannot consistently be sent. This has been tried on multiple machines with the same setup and install date. These were previously working then after a couple of weeks the error started.

Error is as follows:

There was an error in sending the fax. The error can be because of different print resolutions used in sending various parts of this fax. Please use the same resolutions on all attachments in the fax.

There is only one attachment -- a tif file being generated by Printing to the Fax directly from the spreadsheet. There is not a desire to print to another format and then fax attachment as all other types of faxes do send with no errors. I have tried removing and reconfiguring the Win Fax and Scan program.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Answer:sending error reports

Enable/Disable Error Reporting in Windows XPIn an effort to make Windows XP a better and more stable operating system, Microsoft has included Error Reporting in the latest release. Whenever an application has to close because of an error, it asks that a report be sent to Microsoft for study and evaluation. Sending the report is optional, but users can benefit from the error log that is generated if they wish to study it or print a hard copy. If you find error reporting objectionable and want it disabled:Open Control Panel.Click on Performance and Maintenance.Click on System. Then click on the Advanced tab.Click on the error-reporting button on the bottom of the windows.Select Disable error reporting.Click [OK] [OK]or[Start] [Run] [Regedit]Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PCHealth\ErrorReportingModify/Create the Value Name according to the Value Data listed below.Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: DoReportValue Data: [0 = Don?t Send Reports / 1 = Do Send Reports]Exit Registry and RebootThe above information found from...http://www.theeldergeek.com/windows_xp_error_reporting.htm

Hi, not sure where this should be posted.

Running Vista Home Premium and Windows Mail.

Every now and again I get the following error when trying to send out emails:-

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Rules Officials', Account: 'pop3.iconz.co.nz', Server: 'smtp.hubnet.net.nz', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 Too many concurrent SMTP connections; please try again later.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

So maybe 20 minutes later it sends the emails, some days it does not happen at all and other days quite regular.

Have spoken to my internet provider and they tell me it's a local issue [ meaning my computer and not their problem]

Have done the usual malware and virus checks.

Any ideas ?

Answer:Error Sending Request

I checked via Google and in January 2009 they were giving away free versions.
Since you have bought it I think the logical way is to get their support or maybe there is a FAQ list somewhere to help you troubleshoot.
As far as I can make up from your post is that you do not have a connection to some ftp site or something so I am thinking it's a setting that is not correct or not allowed

Answer:Outlook Express Error when sending

Yep, your computer appears to be trying to send your email to itself. But, first question I have is: What antivirus program do you use? Some antivirus programs change the SMTP and sometimes POP accounts to 127.0.0.1, to process them.

BTW, what mail service provider are you using?

I use Outlook Express for my three e-mail accounts. One is a hotmail account, one is an AOL account, and the one that is having problems is the POP3 account with Adelphia. Now it has worked fine for a few years now, with WindowsXP Pro running and all. I can recieve e-mail through all 3 accounts, but the adelphia account stopped sending I think after I upgraded my MSN Messenger, uninstalling verison 4.7 that comes with XP (which is also tied into Outlook) to the newest version of 6.2. Outlook comes back with this error message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'Adelphia', Server: 'mail.adelphia.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

There was also a syntax error message that came up twice each time I started Outlook, so I uninstalled Messenger, which took away the syntax error message, but still does not send through the POP3 account.

I have dis-abled, and re-enabled the e-mail scanning in my Norton's Systemworks, the only difference being when the scanning outgoing is ON Outlook connects to Adelphia, but still won't send (same error message) and when the e-mail scanning outgoing is OFF Outlook cannot connect to Adelphia, still get error message. I have also tried deleting the whole Adelphia account, and then re-entering the settings again with the same results.

I was requested to attach a DDS log (Hope I've been successful) and the ComboFix log:-

Question: I have Outlook 2003 (Windows XP) and apparently when I try to send emails as small as 110KB, Outlook gets hung up in a processing stage and never sends the email. In fact it rejects or response the email as not sent. Occasionally a message from Symantec will appear indicating an error that the connection was lost with the server and that I should contact my ISP. Symantec's help Tech support Online, says "wait a few hours or contact the ISP support desk and try again. I have removed the programs re installed them and even was instructed to ensure the physical connection, the signal,(the cable) was only split once at 3.5 DB. I have attempted all and still the messages once they reach a certain size to do not send. Any thoughts or comments ? Thank you for any advice you may be able to offer.

OS is XP. When using Outlook express and try to send a new e-mail message, recieve error message:

Error 1706. No valid source could be found for Picture It! Photo 2002. Windows installer cannot continue.

Went to microsoft website and could find lots of 1706 errors, but none to match problems. Any suggestions?

That problem is discussed at this link. Maybe you can glean some help from it.

Hello

When clicking send/recieve, I get a sending error as follows:-

Task Next Level - Sending' reported error (0x80070057) : 'Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.

I have three other active accounts, all of which are working fine. This is my work one and is rather critical!

Could one of our esteemed members please advise as to what can be done to cure the problem?

My alternative reply email is [email protected]

With thanks

A few questions for you.

-Has this ever worked for you?
-Have you confirmed that all of your settings are correct?
-Does this work when in the office?

I'm on a ME system with both netscape and IE. When I use the IE browser, I can not send a email using yahoo. I get a error on page message. Netscape works fine. Turning off the software firewall (CA eTrust) makes no difference. Any suggestions on what might need to be adjusted? Or should I just try to delete and reinatall IE?

Thanks.

I am using Outlook from Office Pro 2003. Everytime my send/receive is activated, the bottom status bar shows "sending message 1 of 1 ". The trouble is, that there are no messages in my outbox, nor any to send at that time. This has slowed down the processing speed of this program considerably.

Any ideas? Please help.

Many thanks.

Hi, Im using Windows 2000. When I want to send an e-mail with a pdf file attached I receive the error 0x800ccc0D. Im am using Outlook. All my setting is correct. The mail works if I dont have the pdf file attached. I have already disable Norton. I have not firewall or anything blocking me and I am connected to the internet. Also when this error accures my internet connection kicks me off. But this also only happens when I have a pdf file attached to the e-mail I am wanting to sent. Please help.

Answer:Outlook error when sending pdf files

Here is a page that will help you with the error reported. Additionally, it occurs to me the .pdf files you are trying to send are large files. Depending on your connection, it may take a longer to send than the 'server timeout settings' in your Outlook e-mail client. I use Outlook Express, but you probably can find the setting in Outlook > Tools > Accounts > Properties > advanced settings. Make the timeout longer.

When I try to send or receive an IM through AIM, I get:
AIM caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff7b9e7.
I have uninstalled, ran Ad-Aware and Spybot and reinstalled and I still have the problem. I looked at your other posts for similar problems and they all seem specific to different registry or "junk" problems. I downloaded the hijackthis app and this is my logfile:
