Adobe Premiere elements 2

Question: Adobe Premiere elements 2

I was going to buy this along with Adobe Elements 4 from Amazon. When I read a review there was a warning one should not buy it if they didnt have the right computer aka graphics, sound, processor. Also right camera, camcorder (mine's sony dcr pc110E). I was told to get a trial. I did, it took an hour to download BUT installation didnt take place! 'my processor is not sse2 enabled'. Would it install on my laptop which is not amd but intel 4.Liza

Preferred Solution: Adobe Premiere elements 2

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey Folks:

I recently downloaded Adobe Premiere Elements 8 in hopes that I can edit videos with it and still see a full screen picture when I upload them to youtube, but I downloaded it, installed it and when I go to load a video to edit, all I get is audio and not actual video. I just get a red screen and a description that says I am using the trial software of Adobe Premiere Elements 8. I have attempted to use Windows Live Movie Maker on Windows 7 and that program converted my .mp4 file to .wmv and it made the video widescreen and make my video not fill the entire screen. I have found out that movie maker does that and that there isn't a fix for it. I then found out about this program that converts video files and I downloaded it so that I can convert my video back to .mp4, but then I uploaded it to youtube and it still looks like the way the video was after I had edited it in windows movie maker. I use the Sony Cybershot T900 camera to shoot all my movies which does Stereo HD movies on it. The program I was suggested to use was called Leawo. So, is there anyone who can help me with the Adobe Premiere Elements software? Is there any other video editing software that I can use that's free or cheap that won't give me the problem that movie maker did? I didn't buy premiere yet because I want to be sure I'm happy with it before I buy it and so far, I'm not happy with it.

Answer:How to Use Adobe Premiere Elements 8

Obviously you had a trial version that would not convert.

Hello,
I have purchased a copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 12 for my instead of buying a copy from eBay. I have never downloaded software before (I have always purchased it and installed it from a CD). If the I own breaks down in the future, does that mean I lose my copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (as the terms and conditions state that I am only allowed one copy) or can I then downloaded it to a new machine (if my old could not be repaired)? Any help would be appreciated. I don't understand how the licensing works.

Answer:Adobe Premiere Elements 12

I presume Adobe Premier Elements license is the same as for Photoshop and Lightroom.
As a first step create an ID at Adobe, assuming you have not already done so. Then register your software.
I'm rather surprised that you say you are only allowed one copy, as normally you are allowed two installations. Back-up your download, I normally keep two one on HD and second on DVD, then if you wish to move your copy from one PC to another Deactivate your first installation by going to FILE DEACTIVATE then you will be able to use Elements on a different PC.
The full license can be viewed at License

I do not know if anyone can help me with this,as I do not really think I can explain the problem,.But I will try and see if anyone can understand and perhaps help. When I capture video using a firewire It appears to capture ok but when I go to the disk where I kept the folder, there appears to be the usual Premiere Icon PLUS a "windows Movie" file for every clip. This had never happened before. When I delete these, then the captured movie in Premiere is not there.Where they are coming from,I have no idea. I have used the prog.before without any problem. I have uinstalled and reinstalled with the same result. I am at a loss to know what is going on and cannot find any support from Adobe. Thanks J

Answer:Adobe Premiere Elements

I have not used the Elements version of Premiere, but do use its big brother. My only suggestion is to check carefully that you have set the capture preferences up to be DV AVI and you have not checked scene detetection. For more precise help, I would suggest the Adobe forums, which have a specific section for Elements. I have used them in respect to Encore, and my helper, was a member of the Adobe Encore team who solved the problem for me.

After doing a lot of editing etc. even adding some transitions and text, and saving at different times, when I returned to my project one day, it had crashed, or so I assume, because there is very little on it except three clips which you can see on `scene.....`(forget the proper name!). I had no warning about lack of memory space or any problems at all.

Is there some way I can retrieve my work or has it gone permanently?

I`m using Vista Home Premium and am pretty new to all this, so any help would be much appreciated.

Answer:Solved: Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0

it's likely that you won't find your old edit... unless you were saving to a different premiere project file the whole time, then returned to the wrong file.

also, make sure to check and see if there are multiple sequences in your bin, as you may have opened a sequence other than the one you were working on previously in the project.

any luck?

Any best solutions to the 4K H.265 video importing issues? If you are troubled in importing H.265 Videos to Adobe Premiere Elements 13/12 for editing on Mac OS X, you are coming to the right place. This tutorial is mainly going to give a topic on how to go through the workflow of H.265 codec and Adobe PE 13/12 editing tools.

In fact, H.265 (HEVC), a highly compressed format, is not easy for editing in Adobe Premiere Elements 13/12. Well, if you make the recordings editable before taking to the program, the incompatible error won?t happen anymore. As far as I know, MPEG-2(.mpg) is the best format for Adobe Premiere Elements. While for H.265/HEVC codec, it is not the editable codec that can be accepted by most NLEs, such as FCP X, media players like VLC, etc. In this case, someH.265 tips are necessary for us.

To achieve the goal, here would like to introduce you the Pavtube HD Video Converter for Mac, which has upgraded to the latest version to decode and encode the H.265/HEVC so nicely. This professional H.265 converter is the solid tool to help users convert the H.265 to Premiere Pro supported MPEG-2 MPG without quality loss. It also offers the optimal profiles for other NLEs and media devices. Download the program to start the H.265 to MPEG-2 conversion task.

Hi there.

I've got two problems. Number one is that my Hauppauge PVR program has decided to start recording in TS files since an update. Problem two is that Adobe Premiere Elements (that I normally create DVDs in) doesn't like the TS files.

I see that two of my files have their type listed as: Microsoft Recorded TV Show, but the rest are all TS. Don't know how that happened.

First, if anybody knows about Hauppauge stuff, how do I get back to recording something that PremElem likes?

Maybe more importantly, how do I convert these TS files to something else - hopefully for free?

Thanks for your time. Have a good day.

Cheers.

I find it rather odd that I'm having a difficult time importing .flv files - a format that was developed primarily by Adobe - into Adobe Premiere Elements. My research has led me to believe that this has something to do with the codecs used during the encoding process. I really don't want to have to invest in more software for this. Does anyone know of a freeware plugin similar to that sold by Moyea, that will allow me to import .flv files into Premiere Elements?

He was able to use the program fine until a couple of months ago when he started getting a Startup Error saying "Adobe Premiere Elements could not load any audio drivers. Hi, I'm a new Premiere Elements user with Version 7. I am a college professor and am trying to put together a bunch of Shakespeare film clips on one DVD to use in class. I finally figured out how to use this program when I suddenly noticed that the images and titles had become increasingly blurry and much less clear. This happened quickly, not gradually, as though someone had turned a light switch on.

To check this out, I burned the files to DVD and then played the DVD on both my TV and laptop. In both cases, the images coming directly from the DVD were still blurred and fuzzy. This means, I assume, that it isn't the display or video settings on my laptop, but the signal quality going to my hard drive.

Can someone give me some idea(s) how to troubleshoot this? I'm mystified. My HD is getting a little full; otherwise, the system seems normal, fast and not bogged down.

Is it possible I accidentally turned off a feature or setting in Elements that I can switch back?

The blurring is not horrible, but this just started happening. It was crystal clear 10 minutes earlier.

Thank You very much,
Professor Scott

I don't know what suddenly is causing this it is the first time I have done any video editing of clips from my tablet. I started looking for some video editing software a few weeks ago and saw that adobe had released an elements version of their premiere pro. I was intrigued as it can be had for under 100$ and has much of the functionality of its big brother. I poked around and didn't find too many reviews, but those I found were very positve. I decided to go ahead an get it and started using it yesterday. So, for anyone who has been interested by this I thought I'd share some reactions to it..

I got it from buy.com for under 90$ shipped which made me happy to begin with. It comes on 2 CDs in a nice multi-disk DVD style case. It also comes with a tutorial DVD which is a nice addition as it has a bit of a learning curve. It also comes with an extensive yet extremely usable manual. For pretty much any question I've had so far, the manual has had useful, easy to find answers.

Aside from the manual, there is also a help window in the workspace which is actaully useful. The help window has a selection of topics activated which change depending on what you are working on at the moment. So, if I have the "effects" protion of the program selected, the help window has a bunch of effects related tips you browse through if needed. For a noob like myself its a very nice feature. And, when you're not using it, its very subtle and doesn't get in the way like other program assistants.

I'll have to take a look at that. I bought Photoshop Elements and I love almost everything about it. It does more than I will ever learn or have the opportunity to use.

My only real gripe is that the layers "table" won't stay open. You have to click the layers tab every time to get it open again, which is a pain if you are doing a lot of switching between layers. At least, if you can get it to stay open, I don't know how.

I have Abode Premier Elements 4.0 and it crashes when I try burning the movie I made.
My project has .avi file(DV format), pictures(with motion and zoom effects),titles, and dvd menus. Vista comes up with error about 26% of the through encoding even if it is not to a dvd, I can't even export the file. I tried reinstalling quicktime and PE 4 itself, but to no avail. The same project has worked in the past, but stopped working after I added titles and special effects to pictures. And when I try to burn the file that worked in the past it also crashes. I could not try it on an other machine because the files are scatter around 4 disks. My system is as follows:

Operating System: Windows Vista
Browser: Mozilla
Motherboard: I took the motherboard from old HP system, so all I know about it is it is an Asus something
Video capture card / driver: Nvidia GeForce 7600GT
Capture from Deck, Webcam or Camcorder?: Camcorder

Answer:Premiere Elements crashes

Only thing I can suggest is to try and try again - Windows Movie Maker (built into Vista) crashed 5 times on me when I tried when helping in another thread in here but amazingly worked flawlessly the 6th time.

I haven't tried it again, so I cannot say one way or another if the first five failures or the 6th success was a fluke....

I have recently moved to an iMac. In Windows I used Premiere Elements 8 for my movie making. Is there any way to use this program on the Mac? Premiere looks like they make a Mac Version but it is very expensive. I also have other programs I would like to use on my Mac too.

Answer:Use Premiere Elements 8 on a iMac

A convoluted solution would be to run windows virtualized with Virtual box.

I'm using Premiere Elements 3.0 on Vista Home Premium. After successfully editing my movie (around 1.5 hours long, fairly complex with transitions, titles and soundtracks), I now wish to burn it to DVD.When I click 'Export to DVD' and choose all the correct settings I need, the burn process starts successfully. However, when the project gets to 'Encoding 40.94%' the message 'A serious error has occured and Premiere Elements needs to shut down. We will attempt to save your project.' appears. This also happens when trying to export to the hard drive or when exporting as a DVD file to the hard drive. Please can anyone help?I have a high end system with 2GB RAM, dual core processor (each 2.4GHz) and at least 100GB free on the first hard drive. Thanks in advance for your help.

I just found out that the new Premiere Elements 2018 will not work in my W7 computers
It will not import the audio track from my Sony cameras, m2ts,
Videos I?ve created in Premiere Elements 13,
Or any video with an AC3 Dolby Audio? Adobe says so in the fine print.
I can?t find any fix on the net, Just a few comments about Premiere CC also having a similar problem.
I also have Premiere Elements 13 installed and it still works fine.

I?m curious if anyone can suggest a fix ? or a comment about what?s wrong with adobe.

On Saturday, I created a movie in Adobe Premiere Elements 10. After it completed the encoding, it started to burn the movie to DVD. The activity light on the drive lights and flickers for a few second, the progress bar in Premiere Elements begins to slowly advance, then it suddenly advances to the end, the disk ejects and a message displays that the burn was successful. Nothing was burned to the disk. I updated the firmware of the Pioneer drive and the drivers and tried two different brands of DVDs - Verbatim Live Series DVD-R and Tayo (?) I've put a transition onto the end of a clip on one of my layers, but have now changed my mind and want to remove it. It seems to me that this should be really simple but can't for the life of me figure it out.

Google has been really unhelpful too. The closest that I've come is using either Control or Shift to select the transition and the Del key to delete it. However this also deletes the last second of my clip.

Is there a more effective way of removing a transition?

Edit

I think the delete key is supposed to be used for this task. I must have been doing something wrong (half a dozen times in a row!) I zoomed in on the timeline and was able to delete it quite easily.

I recently began experiencing a problem with Premiere Elements 3.0.2 crashing as it is loading. I have been using it for four years without incident. Some research on the Net has shown a possible cause being a comflict between the latest version of iTunes or Quicktime which causes a heap corruption problem that occurs when the Quicktime Compiler file loads before the Quicktime "Importer". Looking at the timeline of when the problem began that is highly likely the cause as it began after the last download & installation of the iTunes & Quicktime updates. The suggested solution was to change the name of the Compiler to zCompilerQuicktime.prm so that it would load later and that would stop the problem. I tried this and it did not work. There was also the suggestion to run an older version of Quicktime Player (7.5.5) and that too, did not work. The only way I can get Premiere Elements to work is to not have iTunes installed or it can be installed, but Quicktime cannot, which makes iTunes nonfunctional, which is very inconvenient as I cannot be installing and uninstalling these every time I work on a video. I have also learned that this problem stretches across every version of Premiere Elements, so it is directly related to iTunes &/or Quicktime &/or Quicktime player. I did a complete reload of my machine and that didn't help either. All hardware & software being used is the same as it has been for over a year.

Is there a way around this or do ... Read more

I have just installed Adobe Premiere Elements and it fails on startup, so I have uninstalled it. This is a known problem, listed on the Adobe knowledge base (doc 330771), with some processor/motherboard combinations which don't support SSE. (I don't know what SSE actually does!)My processor is an AMD Athlon XP1900 and the motherboard is an ASUS A7A266-E. From the AMD website, it appears that this type 6 AMD processor does support SSE. There is a bios update to provide SSE support for the motherboard on the ASUS website. Adobe knowledge base recomends updating the bios as one of the solutions.I am not happy about attempting this, having seen many warnings on this forum. Is it safe and sensible to attempt an update? I've never done one before, although I am quite familiar with building and fixing PC's. Can anyone advise me please?Thank you. Gran.

Answer:Bios update to fix Premiere Elements problem

Nowadays bios flashing is a fairly safe procedure as long as you follow the instructions step by step.I would only do it if it were, a) certain to solve the problem, and b) the *only* way to solve it.

The user has created a video from both a Sony camcorder and jpgs from a DSLR. No problems with the video.

The problem is adding narration. The audio input is from a USB headset/mic. The Premier Narration window is used:

Every time the narration gets to approximately 6 minutes, an error occurs:

Have used Premiere Elements for three years; decided to upgrade from Premiere Elements v3 to Premiere Elements v8. After reading READ ME.html on the installation disk, I became concerned about the number of potential problems that Adobe stated might require troubleshooting i.e. that Adobe was expecting me to solve their software problems, I went to Adobe website at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/530/cpsid_53099.html and found multiple user complaints about Premiere Elements 8 crashes, instability and the general regrets of users for having paid good money for a product they installed that apparently causes multiple problems. After installing PE8, has anyone suffered system or usage problems like those mentioned at the Adobe site listed here ? Has anyone sucessfully installed and used PE8 ? Life is challenging enough without buying more problems, if they do exist with this version, PE8. I am not sure I should install the program.

Thanks, for any input you may provide.

Hi Guys

When I select several clips to delete on the sceneline the last clip I want to delete wont delete . I have found that the lsast clip I want to delete wont delete from the sceneline ( there are still plenty of clips that I dont want to delete on the sceneline ).

I have noticed the clip that wont delete has one square superimposed on top of another at the bottom of the clip, I dont know why but the other clips dont have this underneath them. How do I get rid of this unridable clip or should I try another method? If you know of another way pls let me know.

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 10 running on Windows 7 32-bit. I have never edited a video and have owned Elements 10 since it was the latest edition and never ran/used it even once.

I have an MP4 that contains date and time information across the bottom of the video that is years off and I would like to crop the video leaving that information out.

I have looked through about twenty pages in a Google search and cannot find a tutorial on how to do it. I found tutorials on how to do it with other versions; but, those screens look different from mine and I know so little about this, I can't follow it well enough to do it on mine.

Can someone point me to some tutorials or videos with some click-here-click-there instructions?

Hi all. I just got Adobe Premiere 6.5 (fully licensed, legit, etc). When I open up a video file and play it on the Monitor, it plays then freezes the whole program. After about 30 seconds the video plays again for like 3 seconds and then freezes again. Is there something wrong with it or maybe my computer? My friend has a worse computer than me and it works perfectly for him (or so he says it does). I also tried putting my screen resolution down to 1024 x 768 since it used to be 1280 x 1024. I also put the color down to 16-bit and it still didn't make the program stop freezing. Here are my specs:

Windows XP Home Edition
Pentium 4 1.9 GHZ
512 DDR SDRAM
ATI Radeon 9200

I have the latest Windows Media Player, Quicktime Pro, DirectX 9.0 drivers, etc. If you need more information to solve this problem, please let me know! Thanks.

Hi I have Adobe installed on my pc, which is an athlon 2400+ with 1 gb of ram. I bought a video capture device to capture vhs tape to the computer to edit in Adobe. When i first started capturing video it worked, until I imported it into Adobe itself. When I put it in there it was extremely choppy, so much so that it wouldn't even play for long. Then i tried doing the same on the computer downstairs with the same processor but no other programs. It worked and I figured I could just capture the video to Ulead Video Studio then export it to my camera then capture the dv footage from my camera to Adobe(because it has no problem with DV camera footage). So i did that for awhile but it is taking forever to do a basketball highlights tape. Then all of a sudden the captured video that i was always able to capture wont capture at all its choppy when i capture it without even putting it in Premiere. So i finally tried capturing this video on my dad's emachine which has a 3000+ cpu. It works on capturing but i still cant get it to work in Premiere. Could someone please offer some ideas. Thank you.

Answer:Adobe Premiere Pro Help

Are you capturing your video on a dedicated drive--in other words, a drive that is used strictly for video capture? Also, what device are you digitizing the VHS tape with--most of them are terrible. (Dazzle is horrific and seems to be a popular one for the amateurs out there). Answer those questions and I can help you.

I have been having this problem with my laptop where it randomly shuts down with a blue screen error (See post in Laptop forum, 'Hardware Malfunction'). About a week ago my program Adobe Premiere Elements 4 wouldn't open, through the desktop shortcut, the start menu, or by opening the exe directly from the program files. Now, my Internet Explorer won't open either no matter how much I try. I go to the task manager and it shows Internet Explorer in the process, but not in the applications. It is a really good thing that I downloaded Firefox yesterday, or else I wouldn't be able to ask about the problem at all. Does anybody have any idea how to get this to work? I had installed "Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0" and it worked fine. I tried to use it several months later and it wouldn't start up, stating that it could not load any audio drivers. It suggested a reinstall, which I have tried several times, and still does not work. All other programs related to audio seem to work fine. Thought that maybe some virus junk messed it up somewhere in between my first use and subsequent tries. Therefore I cleaned-up my computer and posted a Hijack log........ nothing in it seemed to be malicious, and Premiere Elements still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro at school and found it to be a very nice editing system for professional videos. I took the liberty of getting it for my home computer, but when I seem to import video files, it lags when the video is playing on the timeline.

Now here is the weird part.

If the file is .mpg, it will play fine on the video preview, but will lag if played off the timeline.

If the file is .avi, it will lag both on the preview and on the timeline.

Other file types go the same as the .mpg.
Now, I have a camcorder with a harddrive, meaning that all the videos are saved as a individual file. This is so I import instead of capture video of a tape. Now, my school computers are much more crappier than mine but runs fine. I took one of the videos to the school computer and attemped to add it to the timeline. It lags but very little. Why does the video lag at all??

What makes it weird is when I capture video at school (since they use tape cameras), it is captured as a .avi file and playback fine on both the preview and the timeline at the school computers. I've yet to try it on mine.

Now I'm thinking that this has something to do with my file encoding that the camera uses but not totally sure. The files are saved as .MOD files and if I simply change the file extention to .avi, they are playable by any media player. However I use Xilisoft HD Converter to change them to .mpg or any other file type. However they all still lag. I've downloa... Read more

Hello there

premiere pro is actually running fine for me at the moment, but there is a slight issue that is quite annoying and I'm just wondering if its something I'm doing wrong or that my machine is just not good enough.

I'm edited footage that was shot on a HD cam (720p, 30fps), but which was converted from MP4 to .mov (premiere is meant to take mp4 but... mine doesnt). So I've basically set the project specs to HD, 720p, 30fps, but when playing an scrolling through the files in the source monitor, it's awfully laggy, which makes it very hard to see what I'm doing. Have I selected the wrong kind of project to edit this footage or is my machine just not good enough? (once rendered, clips play perfectly well in the program monitor)

thanks

Hiya and welcome

It could be due to Temp folders being full and/or things running in the background causing conflicts. So, lets try some things first, to see if it helps

Go to Windows Explorer and navigate to the following folders. If the first one isn't showing, then you'll have to unhide it as follows:

In Windows Explorer | Tools | Options. View tab. Tick the option for Show Hidden Files and Folders, apply and OK.

c:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Local Settings\Temp\
c:\Windows\Temp\

Don't delete the actual Temp folder, but all the contents. If there are some folders in there as well, delete them.

Question: Adobe Premiere

Okay, im trying to superimpose 2 tracks with this, but It wont work for anything. It'll work when I create the sample in premiere, where I put that yellow bar and create it, it will work. But when I export it to a video, its just black where the blue screen is, instead of what the image is I put. THe thing I dont understand is, it's there when I view the sample in the monitor, and looks fine, but in the exported video its not there. Can anyone help? THanks in advance
Or, in other words, how come some images will work with the transparancies and others wont.
