sending JPEG files with emails

Question: sending JPEG files with emails

Can anyone suggest why JPEG files (some quite small) are not received when sent as an attachment, also as copy > paste and even as an insertion?I have XP Home with Windows 2000, is there some box I have not clicked somewhere which prevents these files being sent? Thanks for any suggestions

Preferred Solution: sending JPEG files with emails

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: sending JPEG files with emails

Some ISP's refuse various attachment types(most common is .exe)To avoid this happening to me,I zip my files into a single package for emailing.

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to send files in an email as jpeg files and not zip files. I'm sending from AOL and when I attach files to the email it's
sent as a zip file. How can I ensure they don't send as zip files?
Thank you so much.

MS Office Outlook sending emails but no emails to send? I have added a few new accounts to my outlook and have had nothing but problems since. It is important that I keep these emails in my outlook, because I work from home and need to access these accounts. I have recently noticed, whenever I hit send receive, the number rises everyday, which now has me concerned. Each account has a different amount "sending", but nothing is in the outbox. IE: account A: sending 1 of 135, Account B: sending 1 of 1020 and so on. I also read online somewhere that if I was a torrent user, that "is" my problem, but I have stopped using it for weeks and there is no traffic going in or out, and I've turned the program off completely.

I've used Outlook for years, with many accounts and have never had problems. I've noticed more problems since this 'sending' message has started. I also noticed, I was the ONLY one at work not getting any SPAM for at least 2 yrs, UNTIL, I took a few days off, went back to work and BAM, hit with SPAM. Its a bloody nuisance because my accounts are linked with "rules and alerts", so if one is infected, all others follow behind! Has one or all of my accounts been compromised? If so, can it be fixed?

I don't use Outlook Express, but in Incredimail there is the option to 'Insert Picture' as well as 'Add Attachment'. Insert Picture puts the picture in the body of the email.

I'm trying to send secure info over to a company I'm working with, only I have no idea how to do this.
I'm scanning the documents on to my computer and sending them as attachments through my computer *tiff and *jpeg.
"Dear Valued Client:
Because of the sensitive information that we receive, we do not have access to the internet and are unable to open your documents. Please send all documents as an attachment in *pdf, *jpeg or *tiff format.
If you have any questions, please contact us at the numbers below."

The first batch was in tiff, and the second were in jpeg.

"Dear Valued Client,

Thank you for contacting our office, we do apologize for the confusion. The only internet access we have is to receive and send e-mails our fire walls do not permit us to open any e-mails that are not in a pdf, jpeg, or tiff format attachment. We are not able to open anything that comes as a link. If you can forward us legible douments in the proper format we can get you processed immediately."

I sent them over as attachments but in my email, not as a link, only attaching them to the email before I sent them. Any idea of what they're talking about?

Thank you for any help you can give to this confused person.

Many times I send and receive e-mails with jpg pictures which, upon arrival, turn into nothing but a large square border with a boxed little red X in the upper right corner of it.

What causes that? How can I prevent it? How can I fix it? What determines when it'll happen? Sometimes I can forward one to somebody, and it'll be fine when it gets there!

I am about to pull my hair out. I use Win XP Pro-MSN dialup internet access-and a hotmail.com email address. For some reason MSN will no longer let me send or receive emails that have attachments in the .jpeg or .jpg format. I get the error "access to the following potentially unsafe attachments has been blocked". I can go to the hotmail.com website and login to my email account & send these files just fine. The hotmail site uses Trendmicro.com virus scanning while MSN uses McAfee. I spent all afternoon trying to work with MSN tech support on this. They had me change everything except my underwear & would never consider the problem was theirs. This problem has only started occurring within the last few weeks. The files I am trying to send are family photos I've taken with a Sony digital camera & are not infected with any virus. Does anyone else have this problem. Thank you.

I have not been able to send email using OE from my home location. It works just fine at work. I am able to receive emails using OE but when I send it gives me this message:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Eric DMSI Mail', Server: 'mail.detect-measure.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Also, this is only when using my dsl connection at home, if I dialup then sending emails works fine. Again, sending emails from the work broadband works fine as well.

Here is my setup: Win XP SP2, dsl router, d-link router, OE 6.0, Zone Alarm, & AVG Anti-Virus with firewall turned off.

OE won't send regardless of how I have the dsl connected, wireless through the d-link, hard wired to d-link, or hard wired to the dsl router. None of these configurations helped.

Your assistance please? Thanks in advance.

Answer:OE not sending emails

Perhaps your home ISP is not letting you relay outgoing mail through another server. Looks like the one you specified in the error msg is work-related. You may have to set OE's outgoing mail setting to your home ISP's mailserver, when connecting from home, specifying your home ISP's user account and password to authenticate the transmission. Or it may be as simple as your home ISP blocking all such traffic on port 25. I have overcome this by having my outgoing mail server listen on a non-standard port-- possibly an option for you, but would have to be implemented company wide.

Odd that it works on the dial-up, however. I assume the dial-up is the same as the DSL provider.

Welcome to Tech Support Forums.

Whoever responds to your problem will need more information. You should always post your OS, including Service Packs, if any, along with names and versions of programs involved in your problem. Always better to post too many details than not enough.

In particular what type email do you have? Web (like Yahoo!)? POP3? AOL?
What email client? Outlook Express? Outlook? Other?

Hi - does anyone know of any method we can use to send lots of individually email merged messages at once? 'Lots' as in around 1000 - not spam, we run an international photographic competition and there are time constraints we have to stick to when notifying everyone of their results when the competition is over.Additionally, prior to this, we contact around 3000 people, inviting them to enter and then follow this up by a couple of reminders - all over roughly a 5 month period. Our club has a website hosted by Click-it, and we use the email address set up there (it's a .org.uk address) to send emails via Outlook and our ISP, o2. The first year we did this, there was no problem, but o2 now have a cap of no more than 25 emails sent at one time, or 15 within 15 minutes. Click-it say we can't use a static address. We don't really want to stop the website set up as it works superbly - entrants fill in the entry form online, pay by paypal and it runs like clockwork.Does anyone know of any other way around this? I think I'm getting bogged down with it all! We've got til about February to get it sorted.

Answer:Sending many emails at once

Check with your webhosting company -many have facilities for amiling lists to go direct from their servers, bypassing O2's involvement.I don't know CLick-it, but certianly the last 3 hosting companies i've used have offered the facility.

I have to use OWA for government work. I had it more or less working. (More on that in a moment.) I could send and receive emails using my CAC for authentication. However, I couldn't read or send encrypted emails.

Fast forward to now. I can still receive emails, but I can't send emails. If I try to send an email a new window pops up and I can go through all the motions of getting an email ready to send. (Selecting recipient, typing email ect.) However, When I hit
send it essentially ignores me. Nothing happens not errors etc. I think this may have started after an OS update. (Or that could just be in my head.)

So problem one is I need to be able to send emails again and I also need to get this encyrpted figured out.  I've never had encryption working on my personal computer.) I know my credentials on my CAC are good. When I go to government site I can send
and receive encrypted. Just not on my personal laptop. I've tried installing the S/MIME but I'm not confident I'm doing it right. I download the control from withing options of OWA and then I click run after it downloads and nothing happens. (No confirmations
etc.)
So, that's my two part question. Any ideas?

Question: Sending emails

I am no longer able to send emails from my hotmail account. This is a recent "malfunction". How do I return to the properly functioning email account.

Answer:Sending emails

Are you using a e-mail manager like outlook, outlook express, etc... ? Or is the problem specfically with sending hotmail from the browser ?

If #2, what browser are you using ? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc... ?

If you change browser, does the problem still happen ?

As soon as i connect to the net, many instances of symantec email scanner start indicating that my system is sending email though i have not asked to send any email. I also get a lot of errors saying"mail server rejected the mail:Spam value exceeded" or something similar.I ran ad-aware SE and removed the items that it has found but the problem is still there. One thing that Ad-Aware found was CWS and i ran CWShredder and got rid of it.

hi, welcome to TSG.
Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:
http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe
Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install
button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added
l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1
for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your
computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2,
notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into
this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and Microsoft windows applications. choose "close to terminate the application".....then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. Do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

PLEASE help me....... am i just being thick????

Answer:sending emails from outlook

Has this ever worked or have you just connected to broadband? Have you set up your email account? You will have to set up your account from Tools> E-Mail accounts and put your ISP information. E-mail address; Incoming mail server(POP3); Outgoing mail server(STMP) and password.

HelloI do have the number of the relevant orange helpline, but all I am getting is automated responses, so I thought I would ask the question here.I need to know the maximum number of emails I can send through outlook express at one time. And also the period of time between each batch sending. All this so as not to fall foul of spamming regulations.Thank youRichard

Answer:Batch sending emails

I visited the orange website and found this in their Orange Online Help Pages As a responsible provider we operate proactive mail management systems to protect both our own and other Internet users. This includes setting limits on the number of recipients per email. These restrictions may alter from time to time depending upon current user sending patterns. It's recommended that you don't use the service to send high volumes of email in one day. You should also avoid sending individual mails to bulk mailing lists. If you stick within a maximum limit of 20 or less recipients per mail, you should have no problems

Does your Sent box only show that he sent one e-mail? If so, check with your ISP - sounds like a problem there, not deleting e-mails after sending.

Hi all,

I'm having some problems with malware on my Toshiba laptop (with Windows Vista).

On Monday morning, the contacts in one of my hotmail email addresses let me know that they recieved emails from me that I had not sent. The subject was "don't miss this!" and the content contained a URL address (stikkso.com). The emails are still present in my sent folder, although I never sent them myself.

My computer has been acting quite slow lately, with around 40-50% CPU usage but with no particular program showing to be using it. It was particularly slow on start up (with around 90% CPU usage) and AVG (my antivirus) appeared to be constantly using a lot of the CPU at start up. So I uninstalled AVG last weekend (it was also taking over 6 hours to do a scan which was unusual).

There was maybe a day between uninstalling AVG and installing Avast! (antivirus that I'm trying out instead). Could this have been enough to let the virus in? I am very careful with my emails and never click on any links or emails that are suspcious. I can't imagine where I got the virus from, if this is indeed what's causing my email to send out unauthorised emails.

I scanned my computer with Avast! with nothing detected. I also tried to scan with Ad-Aware but it kept telling me that it was being used by another user (which isn't true to my knowledge) and that there was no definition file.

I then went through your "READ & RUN ME FIRST&... Read more

I have found it very difficult to find an appropriate title to the problem I am raising. My daughter, who runs a small business from "home" has just moved to a new abode where the owner uses AOL Broadband. Her provider is One-Tel and she has the permission of the owner to use his broadband installation but wants to do so utilising her One-Tel email address. Unfortunately she is only able to receive emails this way (she uses Incredimail), not send emails. She has spent hours and hours on the phone to AOL and got nowhere. Can anybody suggest what settings are required to both send and receive emails in the way expalined above?

Answer:Sending/Receiving emails using another ISP

Use AOL's SMTP server settings in Incredimail's options for sending the email. That should allow her to send emails via AOL's connection. If they allow it. Else she could send her emails via One-Tel's web interface on their website, if they have a webmail option.

Last year, my system was infected with a program that kept telling me that the system was infected and I needed to purchase something to fix it. After several weeks of using various freeware programs, I thought the problem was fixed. Then, in October 2010, the system began to send emails to random contacts with no record in my sent file. With further help, the problem appeared fixed with the only remnant being the fact that System Restore did not function. Nothing further occurred until last week when my wife's email account on the same machine began to send emails to random contacts with again, no record in her sent folder.

I have scanned using the freeware editions of CCleaner, Super Anti-Spyware, Spybot - Search & Destroy, Malwarebytes' Anti-Spyware, and ESET Online Scanner. No malicious content of any sort was found.

I know I am infected with something and need your help in resolving this issue. I am running a Dell Dimensions 8400 with 2 GB of RAM. The OS is XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 with Service Pack 3 Build 2600. I use Firefox for almost all internet use, but am required to use IE for certain software applications.

I have attached the files called for in the guide and await your response.

Hi everyone,

So I'm pretty sure (like 99%) that someone I know is defaming me to others in my profession. I also believe that the person is doing this by email. How can I get proof?

If I know their email address and what I'm looking for (my full name, first and last, along with certain other key words) is there any way I can track down these emails, or is it just impossible?

Any advice appreciated!

Answer:Find out if someone is sending emails about me

Hi blueshampoo, and welcome to TSG.

Unless the sender or any of the recipients is posting the e-mails on some web site that is indexed by search engines, you have no way of tracking down any of those messages.

Your only hope might be if one of the recipients forwards a copy of the original e-mail to you. Just be aware that the person doing the forwarding could have edited the original message before forwarding it to you.

CleanUp! deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups. If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, make a backup of these before running CleanUp!. Run CleanUp! and click on the Options button. Uncheck 'Scan local drives for temporary files'. Also uncheck those two Newsgroup entries if you don't want to delete them. Click OK and then click on the CleanUp! button. Let it run. After it's done, choose Yes to logoff.

Hi and thanks in advance - I have Microsoft Outlook 2007, Vista, Windows 7. And a new Dell. Outlook is not sending ALL of my emails. This just started. It sends some, not all. I reinstalled Outlook, deleted then added again my email server info (Comcast). If I test my settings, the test email goes through. But if I email someone directly, chances are it doesn't go through - but it might. It is inconsistent which is the most frustrating part of this. I email myself on Comcast and Hotmail - it's hit or miss. Anyone?

I am trying to send the same email to multiple addresses using outlook express. I have created a folder with all the addresses in it, in the contacts section but just cant get the addresses to go to the correct place either bcc or to: Help

Answer:sending multiple emails

Simplest way to send to a group of people is to create a Group in the Address book.
Then just select the Group as the recipient.

If you just made a folder of the addresses, click the To: icon on the Compose window to bring up a Select Recipients dialogue.
Click the drop arrow (it usually has the main folder filled in by default) and select the folder you made with the addresses.
The contents of the folder will be displayed in the contact list below.
To select them all, click the first one and hold down your Shift key and click the last one. Everything in between should highlight.
Click the button for the line you want them in and OK.

Hello,

Our project manager has asked us to answer some security question for a few prospective clients. One ofthe questions is: If the client provides data via email, what security considerations should be made?

Consider the 'data' to be an attachment.

The main question on my mind is: is it possible for third parties to 'spy' on emails in transit? So if I send an email with an attachment, under what conditions would it be possible for a third party to see that email, and the attachment, and can they copy the attachment for themselves?

Are there any other security issues to be considered when sending emails with attachments?

XP SP3.
I want to send an email to multiple recipients (250) sequentially, so that each email contains only the recipient's email addie.
I have a list of intended recipients saved to an Excel (xlsx) file in column 1 with their respective email addresses saved in column 2.
Can I use an email client (Windows Live Mail) to utilise the data in the Excel file to achieve what I need? What alternatives are available??

Answer:Sending Multiple Emails

dogbreath1,
I assume you mean that what you want is that each recipient will not be able to see any other recipient's email addresses.
If you put the list of recipients email addresses into the BCC box and your email address into the to box, all the recipients will see your email address, their email address, but no-one else's email address. There may be a limit to the number of email addresses that you can put into the BCC box, but you can probably send groups of 10 or maybe 20.
I think you may break one or more of your ISPs rules on sending SPAM if you try sending an email to as many as 250 recipients at one go.
Peter.

Hi everyone, My friend has a laptop and it was infected with the W32.Grum.A virus.
It had winlogon starting in the msconfig startup section under. C:\documents and settings\user\localsettings\temp\winlogon.exe
This virus was created on March 30th and Norton had a removal for it April 6th.
Norton has said it has removed the virus and deleted it. We did this with system restore off and in safe mode.
We thought we had it. However when he took his laptop home and plugged it in to his highspeed internet, it tried to send emails, lots!!!. Norton pops up saying his server has blocked the emails because they are spam. The people they are going to he doesn't regonize their names. Its very annoying.
We have run Norton several times and it says there is no infections.
We ran Adaware and Spyware Bot and they say the system is clean.
Any ideas on how to stop this?

i have today set up a new email address (with help from a friend) using a domain that i own. I went to their house to do this. After setting it up we tested it - I receievd an email from him.......and replied to it, I received an email from another friend.......and replied to it all with success. I then came home and although i appear able to recieve emails into this 'new' account i can not send any out and these are staying blocked in my outbox. This does not make any sense!

Answer:problem with sending emails

When you set up your email at the friend's house, you will have used their ISP's SMTP server to send mail. If your own ISP is a different one, you need to use your ISP's SMTP server when connected to your home broadband service.
This is the way ISPs restrict access to their outgoing mail server to their own customers, to avoid it being used to send spam.

have just opened up outlook express and have received 3 'mail delivery failed: message returned to sender' messages. I did not send any of these messages and the opening line of the returned message states that 'This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.'two of the messages state that this email has an 'Unrouteable address' whilst the third states that 'This message has been rejected because it has an apparently executable attachment demo.exe'What program is sending these messages? The opening lines of these 3 messages (which all seem the same to me) start with several lines of mostly capital A's, then it turns into a mixture of random letters and numbers.I updated both my anti virus software and my trojan detection software last night, and ran them both of them after the updates were completed and found nothing on my system.the time that these emails were sent is after i had done the updates and ran their programs. So what is sending these messages? I don't even know the people that thses messages are being sent to?Any help or advice that any of you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:What is sending emails without my knowledge?

It's probably a mass-mailing virus that someone who has your email address in their Address Book, has contracted. It will use your (or other random)email address in the from line of the email and send itself to other addresses in the adresses book.

I have two email accounts using OE; one gmail, the other Verizon.

Since yesterday, the Verizon account keeps timing out when sending larger emails. Nothing too large, just a small picture or even copying and several paragraphs. When I send a test email of just a couple of words, it works fine. I've been using the Verizon account for well over a year and this just started happening.

I disabled the email scan feature on my AVG anti-virus and that didn't help. Anyone have any ideas? I've been working on this for hours now and it's ruining my Saturday.
P.S. I just installed an ethernet card the other day, so I could hook up a Netgear wireless router to Tivo.

For months I've not had any problems using Sky broadband and have generally been very pleased with the service but today suddenly I cannot send emails. When I signed up to Sky broadband, I still wanted to use my old Onetel email address. I therefore use mail.onetel.com as pop3 incoming server and smtp.sky.com as my outgoing server. This worked absolutely fine with my onetel email address until today. When testing my email settings, it passes the first four tests but cannot send test email with the error message "please veryify the email address field" Any suggestions?

Have a look here click here and try their forum for problems relating specifically to Sky Broadband.I will however say I'm with Sky and don't have any problems sending emails via my email suppliers servers.

Whats the easiest way to email large files ie 50mb ?

Answer:Sending large emails

However........Most ISP mailservers will stop a file that big - they usually set limits that are around 7Mb, or sometimes a little larger. The way to send really big files is to use one of the transfer services like click hereIt works like this:1. You upload the file to the company's server, and include the address of the person you're sending to.2. The company emails your recipient, telling him/her a file is waiting.3. Your addressee goes to the site and downloads the file from the server.

Something has got through onto my pc, and is sending out emails with links to people in my address book.
It started at 1.20pm today, and has so far sent about 30 emails.
The links all vary slightly but basically take you to sites that sell medicines.
Any ideas on how to stop this, as I scanned last night and all came back clear and ok.
Thanks
Steve

Answer:Pc sending out spam emails

I very much doubt that your Pc is originating these but it is more likely that someone has got hold of your e-mail address and is spoofing that they are from you. Regret that this is fairly typical and very difficult to stop without changing e-mail address. Is this hotmail? If so change password.
Download and run Malwarebytes Free version and run that. Also do a thorough anti-virus scan.

Hi and thanks for any help on this.
I forwarded an email with a few pictures on it to about 30 or 40 friends using my dial up service PCEZ.com., on my Gateway home comp. using windows XP and outlook express. A day later I (and the good folks at pcez.com) started rec., 100's I guess 1000's of this email returning to me and all the folks I sent this to are calling me and asking me to stop sending them this email over and over again. It sounds like hundreds of these are being sent every day to these poor folks and pcez.com suggested I make a log and post it on this site for review. Thanks for your help.
I will ck, back every few hours in case you need more info from me.

A couple of days ago I found 36 "Message undeliverable" messages in my AOL inbox, and yesterday another dozen. I just assumed that someone was cloning my email address to send out spam, as has happened a couple of times in the past, and that it would stop in a couple of days.
But last night my daughter phoned to ask if I had sent her an email with a link to a www. site (I hadn't). She said the CC line in the email contains a bunch of addresses which I recognise as being from my AOL address book, so it seems like the emails must actually be coming from my PC.
I've run Spybod S&D already, and it found seven "problems", all of which seemed to be tracking cookies. I'm running Malawarebytes at the moment but, while this is going on, any suggestions as to what infection I've got, and what's the best solution for removal, please?
I'm on Windows XP fully updated, and have Zone Alarm and Avast (fully updated) running all the time.

Have tried the obvious - adding extra initialization commands, increasing timeout period, breaking up large emails into smaller parts, disabling the email scanner.

But still no luck. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks.

Operating system is Windows XP, modem is Intel(R) 536EP v.92, I have AVG Free anti-virus software (with the Email Scanner disabled).

Running XPhome, with Norton Internet Security 2005, Adaware, and Spybot.1. Occasionally I need to send out (on a slow connection)several attachments with an email.NAV then spends an eternity in scanning them. As I do know that my system is secure(at this moment !) I've tried to turn off the "scan out-going mails" temporarily, and I've tried disabling NAV temporarily. Either way, the NAV pop-up appears, telling me it's scanning out-going mail.Is it ? If it is, can anyone tell me what else I can do to stop it. I've looked through the options for both NAV and the Security, but cannot find any other possibilities2. I sometimes then get a timeout due to the above problem, and Norton tells me that it hasn't sent the mail due to a dropped connection.Quote "Open the Sent folder, and re-send from there" -there appears to be no way of doing this. If anyone can tell me how to, I should be most grateful.

I use a wanadoo address as my main email account, and recently had to retrieve this account as the settings got messed up. Not too much of a problem, but I use an evemail dial-up service to access the internet and am having trouble sorting that out. When I click tools/accounts/properties/servers (for the wanadoo account) the box for Server Information/Outgoing Mail should have the details for the Evemail server in it. But it has Wanadoo server information in it instead. I know what I need to change it to (I have done this before!) but can't change it as the box is greyed out and I can't work out how to get access to it. I am sure that someone out there can help me sort out this problem--it is, surely, minor in the scheme of things and I am a dolt to not know how to do it. Thank you all in advance!

Answer:Having trouble sending emails

How about recreating the account that you want - simply add it as a new one and delete the old one.ie make a new wanadoo account from scratch with wanadoo pop3 server but evemail smtp server.

Can anyone help with the following problem??I have an old laptop with Windows 98me installed. This runs very well, including accessing the internet and sending and receiving emails. My problem is this, I have recently bought an up to date desktop and installed Windows X P.Everything went smoothly with the installation and I used the information to install the same ISP as the laptop. I am able to access the internet on the new computer, however when I use the same password as the laptop it tells me "incorrect password."I have been into Tools and checked that "pop up" blocker is unticked. Is it possible to use the same ISP and password on 2 computers?? If not any solutions??

Not at the same time. Is this dial-up or broadband? Either way, you will have to set up a network to use them at the same time.

I am on Blueyonder broadband with two accounts - one for me and one for my wife. I can send Email to other contacts in my address book.Messages are transferred from the Outbox to the Sent Box when I "Send and Receive" which gives the appearance they have been sent - but messages to myself do not appear on the server when checked with webmail.I have opened the mail accounts and checked all the settings - but everything is in order. I have also used the account test feature and this reports that the send and receive functions are working properly. Finally - I deleted my accounts and added them back manually - but still no luck.Outlook Express - using the same account settings - is working OK. I can send a message to my wife using Outlook Express - and it will be downloaded by both Outlook and Outlook Express OK. However, I cannot send her a message using Outlook. This problem has arisen on both computers at the same time - though no settings have been changed on either. This leads me to speculate that there is something wrong with my wireless router which has a built-in firewall or my ISP is not accepting Outlook mail - but accepting Outlook Express.
