Problem with Frontpage form on my new website

Question: Problem with Frontpage form on my new website

I have some webspace with a hosting company for one site built using frontpage and using a form to send results back to my email with results of customers orders, this works fine. I wanted another site to make paypal payment pages for a flash site I have so again I bought a domain name and used the add on domain feature at my web hosting company, I designed a front index page and individual payment pages that are going to be linked to my flash site. Right now for the problem for some reason when I tried to test it and filled out the order form and click submit it flashes on a username and password box up. I don't know why this is, has completly baffled me and my hosting company. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen, the form on my other site as I say done the exact same way works ok. Phil

Preferred Solution: Problem with Frontpage form on my new website

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Problem with Frontpage form on my new website

is it the standard Windows server challenge - the type you see when you want to logon to a network? You'll need to explain your system in more detail. As I understand it you have a site that's entirely Flash, and you want to send customer's payments from it to your PayPal account, is that right? For some reason you've bought a special domain name and set up yet another site to do this - why have you done that?It sounds to me as if the form is submitting itself to a different server directory - one on which you don't have write permissions, so the server is issuing what we used to call an NT challenge, the type you get when you logon to a network workgroup.Perhaps if you could give me a step-by-step explanation I'll be able to sort this out for you.

Hi I've managed to get my order form to work on my new website built with frontpage, have installed the frontpage extensions on my webspace, but can't seem to get my thankyou page to work when someone has made a order, I have tried to put in the thankyou.htm url in the form properties/options and then confirmation page but everytime a order is made it still comes up with a form confirmation page and not the thankyou page. Does anyone have a clue how I get the thankyou page to come up.

Answer:Frontpage form problem need help

If not already done - I would try putting the confirmation page in the root of the web - don't bury it inside sub-folders.Cheers,Jim

Hi I've managed to design the frontpage form to how I want it only I'm trying to use dropdown links to make the form look neater and I can add what I want only when I click ok it says the controls name is not a valid indentifier for scripting languages any script that frontpage generates may not work properly, change the controls name so it starts with a letter. Please can anyone tell me what this means and will it effect my form when uploaded and people try to use it.CheersPhil

Answer:Problem with frontpage creating a form

I suspect that you have named a field/s with a description that suits you but not Front Page. If you right-click each field and choose 'Form Field Properties' check the value in the 'Name' box. This should start with a letter and, if more than one word, should not have any spaces between them - use an underscore to join words up, i.e. Visitor_URL.

Hi all.
not much of a problem, but as i'm learning.....
Running XP home on a amd athlon 1.67gig, 512mbddr
and problems are arising with Frontpage 2000 (office 2000 premium). I am working through a course book at home and the web i am making asks for a form to be made. The form has 2 1line text boxes,a drop down menu box, 2 radio buttons,2 check boxes and a scrolling text box. I have made it exactly to the letter, as in the book. I've saved my work and then preview the feedback page in the browser. I get this message "this page contains elements that need to be saved or published to preview correctly", and click ok. The page displays. When i click the submit button i get the following message : "FrontPage Run-Time Component Page You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly." The book is no bloody help. If anyone has any idea how i can rectify this, it would be of great help. Thanks BigC.

Answer:Frontpage 2000 preview form problem

Forms will not process only in a FrontPage environment. To see the results the page must be published.

I have been using FP 2003 for years on my Windows 7 PC with no problems, but suddenly find that when I click 'Publish Website' the Remote Website pane fails to open and then I get the message 'FTP session was terminated'. I have checked with my webhost who say there is no problem their end, reinstalled FP, but still no progress.
Any suggestions please (keep it simple - I'm no techie)?

Answer:problem publishing website with Frontpage 2003

If the software hasn't changed, then consider your content. Have you added new files or folders to your site since the last time FP successfully published it? I haven't used FrontPage in ages (and frankly, wouldn't recommend it to anyone today), but as I recall it had a tendency to create some pretty long filename/path structures. The "terminated" error could be just FrontPage's "carte blanche" error message for encountering a situation it has not been programmed to handle.

Also, it could be a dependency issue. Some software I know that was coded for older Windows versions requires .NET 3.5 to be installed, but refuses to function correctly if 3.5.1 update is installed.

I would urge you to upgrade to a more modern solution for your publishing needs, though.

Comment: Feedback Form - Customize the form below to collect the information you need. By default, the form data is saved to a text file on the web server using the FrontPage Save Results component. Edit the Form Properties to change this behavior. If I leave it as it is and upload using ahost supporting FP extensions will I get the form results or should I just use a mail to hyperlink and get rid of the form (although it looks good!) Complete newbie so treat me gently!thanks!

Answer:Frontpage Form what does this message mean?

will be saved to a .csv file on the server. The file will open in Microsoft Excel if you have it.If you want form results to be emailed to you by the server you can have that facility, but you'll need to configure the form to work with a server-side mailto script. The problem with putting an email hyperlink on a site is that it inevitably results in the address in question being swamped with spam.

Frontpage provides a template and standard form component for searching websites. It works efficiently, but annoyingly the standard form displays the "search" box with the "submit" & "reset" boxes one line below.I would prefer to have all 3 boxes on the same line. Is this possible?

Answer:Search Form in Frontpage 2002

Should be possible, but not sure exactly how Frontpage works. How about creating a table with one row and three columns and putting each element in its own cell.

Hi every one. I wonder if somebody can help me.
I have a music website for our local Memorial Hall.
On there is a list of all the music events that will go on there for 2007 and 2008.
I want to allow people to download and print off a booking form for advanced tickets for each event.
Problem is, I do not have the programming knowledge to build that into my website.

I have uploaded a typical form. I did it in Excel for this thread as you can't upload a .doc file. Hope that makes sense. However it is in word format not Excel for the website.

I will be really chuffed if some body can help me.
Thanks

I know how to build toy castles coz I've being doing it for years in my shed ( {;o) )... but when I decided I ought to try a website on which to show them I thought - YOWSER - here's a challenge!I bought a domain and hosted it with easily.co.uk last year.I've had MS-OFFICE 2000 for a couple of years, (wearing a groove in the WORD segment but little else) !! Anyway, I thought I'd give the FrontPage program a shot.I bought a book 'FP Step by Step' and waded in.I've completed the site now, except for the actual toy castle photos, and will fill in the gaps in a month or two.I realise that I'm a complete novice when it comes to web design, and that there are people out there who can add all the bells, whistles and gizmos to make a site really sit up and breathe, but I just want a presence on the web, and not the flashiest site in the UK.I would have liked to have the 'order form' available in a nicer format, but I found it simpler to use a text file.Anyway, please take a look ( allowing for the fact that there are no models to be seen yet ) and let me know what you think. The URL is : click hereThanks, Crossbow

Answer:My website & FrontPage

I can see you have put in a lot of hard work, and what a fascinating subject! You have one of the key ingredients of a successful web site straight away - an interesting subject. You might consider the following suggestions; they are just that - suggestions - so please don't be in any way discouraged, you've made a nice job of your first site.1. Kill the hit counter? I have a personal aversion to them I admit. I can't see what useful purpose they serve. You can get statistics from your host, and they'll be far more detailed than just a tally of hits. Nothing brands a site as "amateur" more than a hit counter.2. Use a smaller font size for body text - say 8 point - in conjunction with the next point.....3. Lay out the content in tables with columns. Look at the way a newspaper page is laid out, or take a look at the BBC news siteclick hereThe look of your site would be improved dramatically, given this treatment. You can scatter small images in separate table cells, and with a bit of experimenting you'll see how you could make the site easier to read - without having to scroll the pages into the bargain.4. Justify text left, rather than centre, in the table cells - it looks very much more professional. 5. The blue background is a tad bright in my opinion, although this is very much a personal thing. I like white backgrounds as a rule, with the colour coming from images - lots of them. Finally - don't link to pages that have no content. Nothing is more of a let down than clicking... Read more

and call it anything you like, as long as it means something to you.Now put the Excel file into it. Make sure it's the actual file and not a shortcut. Now create a hyperlink to the file itself. The link can be anything, a word, or a small image, or a button. Save the changes to the server. Now, visitors to your site will get the file when they click on the link, and provided they have Excel installed on their computer they'll be able to open it.

I got it up an runnung, only to find that one or two hyperlinks need revision. To my horror, now every time I try to run and edit the saved version, I get a flickering screen, and a frozen computer. What has gone wrong, and is it curable?

Answer:Creating a Website with Frontpage

I'm not too sure what the problem is, but it looks like no one else has either, so I'll have a go at a couple of ideas. Are you able to open the saved web page in whichever browser you use? If you can, it might be something to do with your copy of Front Page, can you try a repair to it? If it won't repair, try reinstalling it.If you still get no joy, try taking a copy of the page off the web site and see it will let you edit it.One last thought, is there anything one the web site that requires a connection to the Internet while your are editing it? Like external images or advertising links, it might be a problem with your firewall blocking access, try switching it off temporarily.lastly, if you are still having a problem, are you willing to try another web page editor? I use Mozilla composer, it comes with the Mozilla suit which includes the Mozilla browser and email client, but these can be ignored if you just want to use the editor:click here

Answer:Uploading website with FrontPage 2000

Well are you using WS FTP LE to upload or frontpage?

If you're using WS FTP LE then frontpage is not your problem.

WS FTP LE INstructions

First, try to connect to your server and see what it says in the dialogue box(big white area on the bottom of the program). If you can connect then you're good. Now try uploading that file, again look at the white box to see what it says.

If it uploads okay then I guess problem solved, now if it doesnt tell me what it says in the box.

HiHow do I get my website uploaded from Microsoft Frontpage for free or a very reasonable price?I really don't want to pay a lot as this is my 1st design and just an experiment really but all the same, I would like a reliable host.Hope you can help!

Answer:Website uploading from MS Frontpage for free?

what you're going to do with this site first. If you have a long-term plan to have your site permanently hosted you'll need to sign up with a 'proper' hosting company and register a domain name. Then you can upload your site and that's that. If you simply want to have a bit of fun with a personal website you might find that your ISP's free webspace is the answer, although you may have a problem if you are using any of the special FrontPage features - like animated text or hover buttons etc. These features require components called FrontPage extensions to be running on the server, and your ISP may not offer that service (although FP extensions are free, and easy to install).A proper web host will automatically offer FP extensions as part of the hosting package, or will add them for a very small sum.Post back with your thoughts on all that, and we'll take things a stage further.

I have a website built using FP2002 and am trying to add a restricted area for specific users following the guidance in Microsoft's KB301954 article. However when I get to the step regarding configuring Permissions (menu Tools/Server/Permissions), the "Server" option is greyed out. Any advice as to why this is and how I can make it active?

Answer:Restricted access to Frontpage website

I think I've solved this. Normally I edit the site on my local hard disk and then publish to the live server. However, when setting permissions it seems you have to work on the live web site (as uploaded to the server), not the version on the local hard drive. This seems to leave little margin for error, so I'll put together another site to test the process first!

Hi all,

For some reason I am unable to connect to the website that I maintain.
I installed vista and it worked fine, but with in the last month or so Frontpage won't allow me to conect to my website stating the following error:

Unable to open 'http://www.ivhawaii.org'. Possible causes:
1. The web server may not have FrontPage server extensions installed
2. The web server may temporarily be out of service
3. If you are connecting to a proxy server, the proxy settings may be incorrect
4. An error may have ocurred in the web server

Now I realize that all of the above reasons state that the problem is not on my end, but on the severs end. However my website is still up and can be accessed with out a problem, and I have not changed any of the settings in FrontPage...Can someone tell me what is going on???

Thanks.

Answer:FrontPage 2003 Cannot Connect to website anymore!!

You may want to check with your hosting company to make sure they still support FrontPage extensions on your plan. I had thought I read a while ago that some companies were going to be dropping FP support or making it an extra charge option.

If you are still supposed to have FP support, check to see if you need to specifically have it enabled to make it work. It is possible that a software update on the server could have disabled FP support and you need to re-enable it.

The folders are read-only and need to be NOT read-only.
If it's on a web and you have the options, right-click, hit properties and make sure you can write to the folder.

Hello,

I need a contact form on my website, that will send to my email address what the visitor enter in the form fields. The problem is that I can't run any php scripts.. is there a way to use some html form?

Answer:Help with contact form for my website

After searches, I found a site that offers remotely hosted contact forms, EmailMe Form™ - HTML Forms, a simple way to receive email from your website . Basically, I paste the html code in my website, and it calls the php script on their server who sends the email.

Hi there

Just wondering if there are any experts out there on this.

I have a 'contact us' form on one of my webistes - http://stayhome-mum.com/contactus.html

I had someone send me a message using this form, but they used a fake email when they filled it out.

This message I believe is from someone that is very close to crossing the line for stalking, but because they sent it through this form I cannot say for sure that it was them that sent it.

The message was very threatening - both in threatening to ruin my business as well as threatening bodily harm.

So I am trying to see if there is any way of being able to trace who sent the message through this form.

Is there anyone that has any knowledge on this that could help me with this please.

Thanks
Shezz

With the exception of the number field all fields work OK and the form can be submitted successfully to an e-mail address. The problem I have is that the number field, which is set to a maximum of 4 digits, allows text to be entered as well as numbers. I can't find a way to prevent this. Can anyone help?CheersKenHow

I am trying to put a simple order form on my website. I have the table with item name, price, quantity field set up in Excel but I am having problems making it functional in Frontpage. I can save the Excel file as an HTML but people who don't have Excel can only view and not interact with the table. The only other way it seems is to manually put each line into the form (but there are a lot of items). Is there a way to use Access and then couple it with Frontpage?

Hi and welcome to the forum...

Why not just use a simple HTML form ?
YOu already know that using Excel not everybody is going to be able to use your form. And as for the Access bit. I would say no. You can download many simple HTML forms from the net which are customisable..

Is there any software that will look at the text then search a list and plug in the number or is that only possible with some kind of cgi or sql thing.

Well, not if the message doesn't allow html or bbcode. I'm guessing from the screenshot that the box only allows text. The best you can do is ascii art (assuming it aligns properly) or text smilies.

Answer:Form on website displaying comments in html

Greetings, BexBomb.

Sounds like you've got something missing, most likely a bracket. Look for code similar to this:

<form>yada yada</form

Notice the missing > after the second "form".

If you can't find the culprit, post the address and I'll take a look at it, or you can validate the page at w3.org which should show any HTML mistakes on the page.

Hey guys - got an issue I'm totally stumped with:

I have a customer I support on Office 365 and have done for the last 6-8 months. Their website is less than spectacular but does include a booking form for enquires (car rental company)

I have no control over the website but am talking to the guy who has access to the site and domain panel for the company.

From my understanding, when a customer fills in the form and clicks submit, the web server hosting the site and form sends out a confirmation email to the customer and to the [email protected] email address for the company - for this to work the domain has to allow both the website and the office 365 email address to send emails - to allow this to work, this needs an TXT/SPF record allowing both servers to send email using the @companyname.co.uk domain (please correct me if this is wrong!)

We had the same issue a few months ago, in the end we created an SPF/TXT record that combined the webserver and the 365 exchange server, it took a few hours to finalize but it did seem to resolve the issue.

For some reason in the last few days, the form has stopped working again, the customer doesn't receive a confirmation email, nor does the [email protected] address - the only thing I can thing of is that the domain is not allowing the webserver to send email or something to that nature.

I have submitted test bookings which have gone nowhere and had no response to any address, however if I just send emails to the [email pro... Read more

MAPI problems, sending web forms
If I fill in a form on a website, and press submit it just opens a blank email page outlook express rather than sends the information |I have already filled in. Help. Apparently it is something to do with MAPI but I have dfone a MAPI fix but no difference.

Answer:I can't submit a form on a website, it brings up a blank outlook express page

That is a problem withe the FORM on that webpage, not with your browser.
Click on View/Page Source and find <form and then type=submit.
Somewhere between those items is where it goes wrong for them.

If those people can't get it right, it is either a spoof, phishing for creditcard details, or a webdesigner that's not competent.

I have been using Frontpage 2000 and could utilize the right-click menu to copy and paste-special, to paste text from Word files. I have since upgraded to Frontpage 2003, and now my right-click menu no longer gives me the paste-special options, just paste. Is there a way to add it to the right-click menu, or is it simply no longer available?

Answer:Changes to right-click menu from Frontpage 2000 to Frontpage 2003

In previous FrontPage versions, when you cut and paste text and other items from Word (and elsewhere) into FrontPage while in Code view, FrontPage would attempt to apply the style of the incoming object, which often resulted in a mess of HTML and style tags. Now, you just get plain text when you paste into Code view, which makes it far easier for you and really how it should be. So you don't really need Paste Special like you used to.

Question: Frontpage problem

I am using Frontpage 2002 to create and publish a web page for the high school where I work. When I try to open certain pages I get the error message, "system exception:access violation".
The tech from the central office told me that my files were corrupt, but I don't think this is true. The page is viewed fine on the web, I restored the web from the backup tape and have the same problem. I even opened a copy of the web saved in another location from 10/02 and get this same error message. This leads me to believe that this is a Frontpage or network problem and not that the files are corrupt. I will take it home and try to open it there, but I would greatly appreciate any other solutions.

As always, thanks in advance.

If you are trying to connect to a FrontPage server, check with the server's administrator to make sure the FrontPage server extensions are installed properly. Can anyone tell me what this means and does it mean that I won't be able to make any alterations on-line unless the server supports FP extensions? The PC is running XP and has FP installed. The site was created using FP and as far as I know, I did not use any FP extensions. Hope someone out there can help. Many thanks J

Question: FrontPage problem

Hi,

I have multiple websites with my hosting company. I made them all with FrontPage, which came with XP Office. I uploaded all of them using the same FrontPage program, from the same computer. Computer is P4 2.8 GB. 3 of my websites upload fine, no problems.

Now here's my problem. One of my websites hasn't been able to upload any changes for 5 days. I continually receieve the following error message ...

"You do not have permission to do this operation. Ask your Web site administrator to change your permissions and then try again, or log on with a user account that has this permission. To log on with a different user account click OK."

I went online to my web-hosting company and delted my FrontPage extensions, thinking that might be the problem. I haven't been able tp upload for 5 days, so I can't replace my extensions. My e-mail form is inop and I'm losing all my e-mails. I really need to get my web changes uploaded; but cannot.

Someone suggested that I use File Zilla; but I don't want to get away from FrontPage... I'd rather fix the problem and continue with FrontPage. I've read that you can't go back and forth between FTP and FrontPage.

The problem started after I did something I won't do again ... I was uploading my website 5 days ago, and went to reopen FrontPage again to type another article (thinking it wouldn't affect the upload). The upload failed, which is not normal. The next time I went to upl... Read more

I have a number of sites on the go.

I have created the sites from scratch within Frontpage and up until this morning could open the software and click open site - the software would then allow me to navigate to the folder where the sites are.

All the sites have created navigation within frontpage, structural navigation I mean.

Anyway, this morning FP won't open a site, it will open files, but it isn't seeing the navigation. This is important because I am using code to provide header info within the files for each site.

Anyone got any suggestions of what I could try to get the navigation to work - other than starting again.

I'm having a problem - hoping someone can help. I'm using frontpage 2002. When I go to "publish" on the menu the 1st box is for the "destination to publish to" and I type in the name of my website on the web (domain name)/the full path to the directory in which all the html pages are, and then it will bring up a small login box. I type in my username and password and it stays on that box - like it does not accept this. If I click "cancel" it will then tell me that "a web does not exist there". But there is indeed a website there!

I can publish, or rather upload, via FTP though. But the last time I published I was able to do it and not use ftp. I dont understand why it doesnt work now. Frontpage extensions are installed on my host's server. I contacted the helpdesk at my host and they say that they tried to get access using the username & password that I gave them, and it worked ok! There must be something with my setup of Frontpage then, right? The last time I published, I was using Frontpage 2000 and it worked both ways - publishing and uploading with ftp.

I have never used forms before & have sufficed with "Click here with the following information".I stumbled across the following piece of html & am getting hooked on forms, however I am just not getting the results I expect.form method="post" enctype="text/plain" action="mailto:an email address"It seem's to work fine on my setup IE & OE, with the exception of the following warnings, You are about to send email via IE Do you wish to continue. & OE is trying to send Mail via the internet do you wish to continue. It there a specific way to ensure users of my form's dont get these warnings & more importantly that the form send from there computers / systems

Answer:Problem With FrontPage Forms

The problem is you are asking a browser to post the details of the form fields using an email action, so its only fair that the browser takes it into its head to warn people that they are emailing etc,...A couple of ways around this spring to mind. One is to check out your site host for CGI scipts for feedback/email forms. The CGI script (Common Gateway Interface) sits on the web server in your site folder and processes email/feedback forms without giving your page visitors the warnings you are getting above.Alternative methods using FrontPage are available. If you right click on the form in Normal view and select Form Properties from the drop down list of options, you can have your forms submitted to a database (FrontPage creates it for you but you need to have MS Access and ASP support on your web host for this to work) or you can choose to dump the form submissions into a text file held on your web server and just get it when you want it. When you have the Form Properties windows open, click on the options button for lots of choices.I'd suggest you take a look at anything your web host offers for CGI scripting. Most good hosts have pre-prepared CGI scripts for you to use along with full instructions on how to implement them and they can be very, very efficient. Finally, check out the help files and tutorials in FrontPage for forms. They're well worth reading.click here and click here for email form tutorials using FrontPage.RegardsTaran

I have just changed "Hosts" and I am having some problems publishing my website.

I'm using FrontPage 2000 and the new hosts say the DNS changes I have made are correct.

I have tried on several occasions to upload the
files using FrontPage but when I try to access the site it shows "Error
403".

FrontPage extensions have been enabled.

When I select "Publish Web" everything seems normal.

1) I am publishing to http://www.2ndjobshopping.com

2) The files appear in the window as they are being uploaded

3) I am used to using FrontPage and everything seems normal when I publish.

4) It doesn't make any difference when I try again and select "Publish all
Pages"

I have noticed that when I try to access http://www.2ndjobshopping.com there is a very brief glimpse of a file I do not recognize in the browser at the bottom of the screen.

Could anyone help please.

Hi,

I am having a problem with a previously functional FrontPage 2000. It begins to open, screen appears, then poof, it's gone. There are no error messages. I've have tried repair/reinstall both from the cd, defragmenting, and scandisk. I also went to HouseCall for a thorough virus check even though my antivirus software is updated daily. I have even uninstalled another program that I thought caused the problem (Dreamweaver).

Thank you for any help.

Answer:Microsoft Frontpage problem

because it thinks that you are trying to access the server (remote) copy of the site, not the one on your hard drive. Normally this would happen if your last action was to upload the site to the server from Frontpage - did you do this?If you open the hard drive copy of your site (the local copy) you won't see the username/password challenge - at least you shouldn't.

When I add a hyperlink to a thumbnail photo to open up a larger version of that photo in Frontpage, it opens the photo in Photoshop!  Why? How can I get it to open inside my webpage?

Answer:Hyperlink in Frontpage problem

For some reason it'd seem the pic is being seen as wanting to be edited.  Let's check out your code - post the relevant code you are using then we can check that out.  It'll help too if you put your large version pic inside another html page and call that with your link, unless you want to also open in a new window. All you should need is something like............Code: [Select]<a href="largepic.htm"<img src="yourfolder/yourthumb.jpg"></a>So clicking on thumb would take you to the new page with larger pic.

repair your software. If you go into the Add/remove programmes in Control Panel go to the item in the list. you should see 2 options on the right ?/remove carn't remember what this says.Or put your disk in CD and see if it will give you an option to Repair.CAB File is compressed programme for a software components eg windows items are installed in CAB Files. Its not the CAB file you need to worry about but the repair of Front Page.

Hi,Lately I have been finding that changes I make to pages within FP02 are not showing up on the webpages themeselves, even on other people machines.I have done partial and full publishes. By that I mean publishing only the pages FP detects have changed or all the pagess regardless.I have saved the changes using both save and save as (which overwrites). When FP02 does a partial publish it can detect the changes either by comparing source and destination or by using timestamps - I have tried both without success. The only thing that works is to make changes to the page, for example microsoftsuck.htm and then do a save as using a different name, for example microsoftblow.htm. This works but it's no real answer.I have pages with nice, descriptives pagenames (example click here) but I'm gonna end up losing them all......Can anybody help?

Answer:Publishing problem with Frontpage 2002

The changes you make to pages do not save in FP or they save but won't publish to update?Tried the repair option? Is your web set up properly, or is it a 'saved as' web?
