Preferred Solution: Intergrate DAP into Opera?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Intergrate DAP into Opera?

I think you will find the main ini file is in the main Opera directory, as OperaDef6.ini (this refers to Opera 7.2).As to how to integrate it, sorry, no idea!

I recently updated my OS. All my documents like music, pictures and files are there correctly. Some of my old game and programs like Steam booting correctly because they are in the Windows.old file because of the new OS. I was wondering if there is anyway I can just integrate these files so it would act like my computer previously, but just with the updated OS. Would a simple copy and paste of the Program Files/Program Files (x86) ect over the current ones work? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Answer:Can I intergrate Windows.old files?

Windows.old file contains everything from a previous Windows install. You can not copy and paste old programs. They have to be installed to get the required entries into the registry in order to work. You can copy personal files that you missed backing up before the new install.

Opera Releases Happy New Year Build Of Opera 10.50 Pre-Alpha
While everyone else in the world has been partying all night the Opera desktop team developers have decided to add a little bit of work to that partying. They are the first to release a new web browser version in the new year. The new build of their upcoming Opera 10.50 web browser is still a pre-alpha build. The two most notable changes to the last public release of Opera 10.50 pre-alpha are the support of the HTML 5 video element and stability fixes.
The Unix version of Opera 10.50 has undergone some changes as well, most notable the removed dependency on the QT libraries which caused a problem for users who wanted to install the browser but did not have the libraries installed.

You might be intruded with ads or somewhat. Try checking the extensions.Refer here to check your extensions http://help.opera.com/Mac/11.60/en/...If you notice any unwanted extensions, remove them. Try if that fixes opera. if not, then try to reset opera. On Windows, Press Windows Key + R (or use the start menu / start screen search for 7 or 8) and type in: %appdata%Find the folder OPERA. Delete that. (make sure opera is not running before deleting that folder).Hope that helps.

Deciding on installing Opera for Android? Here are the key differences:

"Opera Mini is a cloud-based browser that takes very less space on your phone. All your browsing with Opera Mini goes through Opera servers. These servers compress web pages, including text and images, down to 10% of their original size. Because of this, Opera Mini is able to open websites even when you are on a congested/ fluctuating/ bad network area.

The Opera browser for Android is designed to give you a full-browsing experience. That means websites open as they would on your desktop computer. It?s best to use this browser on your high-end smartphone, especially when a majority of your browsing happens over Wi-Fi. You can watch full-quality videos, stream high-quality audio and generally enjoy pages, even if they weren?t optimized for mobile viewing."

Answer:Difference between Opera Mini and Opera browser?

I used Opera Browser on Android.
In the settings,
Enabled Data Savings - turning on the Video Compression and set Image quality to low.
Advanced Mode - turn on Block pop-up and enabled text wrap.
Noticed quite a significant increase in browsing speed.

Didn't try on Opera Mini hence couldn't comment on it.

This issue was from few months ago. I cannot access Opera.com, or use Opera Mini, or using Turbo Mode (same as Opera Mini's trick) and all of this has something to do with Opera servers. I tried accessing it using two different ISPs but no luck. But when I tried using proxy (TOR) it worked.

Can someone help me?

You saw the title! This is in regards to the latest Opera 10 no Doubt. As the title goes:

"Could Opera Unite be a botmaster's best friend?

Opera has added a lot of cool new features to its upcoming Opera 10 browser, and one of them is almost sure to catch the eye of cyber criminals.
It's called Opera Unite, and while Opera promotes it as an exciting new platform for next-generation Web development, some security experts say it could become the botmaster's best friend.

Opera Unite lets anyone run a Web server from their desktop. The browser connects to an Opera proxy server, which then allows the browser to serve content to the rest of the Internet. This simplifies things for home users who want to host their own Web pages; with Opera's architecture, they don't have to configure firewalls or worry about their Internet service providers blocking Web server traffic.
But it also makes a precious resource more readily available to the bad guys.

In recent years, hacked Web sites have become the fastest-growing way for criminals to spread their malicious software. They have developed automated Web-hacking code, such as the recently reported Gumblar program, that can quickly hack into tens of thousands of Web pages in just a short period of time.
With Opera Unite, they may suddenly have a whole new crop of computers to attack.
Unite was just introduced as part of the Opera 10 beta this month, but it's only a matter of time until the criminals start playing with it, ac... Read more

Answer:Glad I stopped using Opera! Could Opera Unite be .....

I admit that I've yet to play with Unite, but it isn't turned on by default, no?

Of course there are security implications with running a glorified mini web server from your home connection, but your title makes it sound as if Opera users were more vulnerable and should move away from Opera because of this new option.

Opera 10.50 Alpha Released [Opera]

Opera has released a new version of their upcoming web browser Opera 10.50. Opera 10.50 alpha is the first public alpha release of the web browser which was previously only available as a pre-alpha release.
The developers have not released a changelog of the new version but have mentioned the changes in Opera 10.50 alpha in a blog post over at the Opera Desktop Team blog.
Well we have upgraded our core rending engine slightly, done a little work on video support, improved certain aspects of performance, improved Windows 7 integration, fixed some mail issues and added support for IMAP COMPRESS, added ?inspect element? to the right click menu and finally of course, fixed a number of common crashes!

Opera 10.10 Dev Build With Opera Unite

The Opera Desktop Team has released a development release of Opera 10 with the version number 10.10. This release includes Opera Unite which offers web server functionality in the web browser. The final version of Opera 10 which was released not long ago did not include Opera Unite. While Opera Unite is definitely the most prominent addition in Opera 10.10 other additions have been made that are worth a closer look. These additions are mostly stability fixes and minor improvements to the Opera web browser.
The changelog lists many fixes to the Opera interface, to Opera Unite, Opera Mail and Chat, the build in Bittorrent client and to operating specific versions of the web browser. All in all a few dozens fixes which comes surprisingly that short after the release of Opera 10. Several of the fixes fix crashes and optimize computer memory usage.

Source: Upcoming changes of Opera Max

Opera Max, the app that allowed users to manage and reduce data usage across their Android mobile phone applications, was initially released in 2014. Opera has now decided to discontinue Opera Max. The product had a substantially different value proposition than our browser products, and represented a different focus for Opera. We, therefore, focus on our browsers and other upcoming services.

As a consequence, there will be no further upgrades for Opera Max moving forward. The application has also been delisted from the Google Play store catalog.

The Opera Max service will remain intact for our existing users for a period of time. We will inform these users about the termination of server-side support in due time.

More information see source, and this article on ghacks.

Answer:Opera discontinues Opera Max

Understandable decision.
Before Android Nougat, this app made a lot of sense; now, we can easily deny an app from wasting data in the background, so this becomes kinda pointless.

Today seems to be browser day on the Internet. After the Firefox update this morning a new version of Opera was uploaded on the Opera ftp site. It usually takes a few days before the official announcement will be made available on the Opera homepage. If you are an early adopter and can?t wait to test the new version I suggest you head out to the Opera ftp site and download the version that you want to use.
The update from Opera 9.21 to 9.22 went without problems but I would suggest to backup your installation if you want to be on the safe side. A changelog has not been uploaded yet which makes it hard to find out what has been changed in this release. Someone active in the Opera community surely would know more about the update at this point.

Alrighty so for some time my internet browser Opera has been acting up. You know when you go to google, or any other site that would link images, and click the link that opens an image via your browser? Well Opera stopped doing that. Now it prompts me to download what ever image i'm attempting to view straight into my documents, instead of just showing the image like it use to do. I don't think i've changed anything unless i accidentally hit a key and that triggered some setting change. As usual, googles doesn't know what i'm talking about to i bring my problem to you folks!

If anyone can help me out that would be great!

Question: Opera 10.01

Opera 10.01

The Opera developers have released version 10.01 of the Opera web browser. The version comes as a surprise as beta versions of opera 10.10 have already been released in the past by the team. This version of Opera is a security and stability upgrade with no apparent other changes. Since it is a security update it is recommended for all Opera 10 users to update their web browser as soon as possible to protect the browser and the computer system from malicious attacks exploiting these issues.
The new release appeared on Opera?s ftp server yesterday and has since then been moved to the homepage where the update can be seen and downloaded by everyone.

Answer:Opera

Yes, it is fast. I have not used it for a few years though - when Mozilla reached version 0.9 I began to use that instead as it is free and I did not want to upgrade to a newer version of Opera.I remember it had a few compatibility problems, but nothing major and I assume they are mostly ironed out now.

Question: Opera

I just downloaded Opera (browser). I'm used to IE and Firefox, both of which have a Google toolbar that allows me to instantly return to whatever I was searching for no matter how deep I had gone into any Web site. I can't find a way to do that in Opera. Is there?

Also, I'm accustomed to having several links to sites I use all the time on the Google toolbar, circumventing the need to click on Bookmarks and find what you want. I can't find any way to do that in Opera. Is there?

Answer:Opera

Hiya

Looked around, and there isn't an actual 'Google' toolbar, but there is this:

http://my.opera.com/gabydewilde/blog/show.dml/299972

Not sure what its like, but you may want to create a restore point prior to installing:

Also, scan it, just to be safe.

Hi holly polly, not sure on the correct procedure for exporting/importing, but as you know, in AOL the address information is different to the URL. address. Example is. PCA shows as PCA, but follow the below and it will change to the correct URL address.Open up your favourites and highlight them and click on the "Edit button" this will change them into URL address's and make the swap over easier. j.

Question: Opera

Just started to use Opera and iv got to say im really liking it.

I have used firefox for about the last 3 years but for the last few months it seemed to be crashing more and more and clean installs with no add ons being used were not fixing the problem, so i made the switch to opera about a week ago.

It feels faster than firefox, looks better and feels smoother due to the little animations it uses and once you remove the buttons you don't need add the adblock.ini its just about perfect. Its just better in my opinion

Its only downsides are that its cluttered when you first download it and also that to me at least, its a bit more confusing all the different things it does and they way the lay out the options in the "O" button.

But anyway does anybody know of good sites to read up on opera tweaks, widgets etc. for a noob at opera?

Question: Opera-Help

I need help, i just open browser opera, but when you know, on Video, but before click the active to play video without enabled? where i can find to play video without click?

Like this picture captured.

Answer:Opera-Help

Do you mean, when you have to first click to enable, and then be able to play the video? there isn't a way around it, it's a legal thing that has to do with Opera. It's the same way on youtube, and a lot of video sites.

It deals with a patent from some company called Eolas("Embedded Objects Linked Across Systems"), and it has to do with "Embedded Objects". Opera does this so they don't have a chance to get sued for big $$$.

In my opinoin, it's a bunch of crap, but they're only doing this to play it safe. Eolas has sue'd many companies, from Ebay, to Rent-a-Center, to JCPenny. Looks like they sued everyone that used any kind of embedded links at one point.

I use Firefox primarily, but I'm running Opera 9.52 on Windows XP right now. I also run Opera 9.5 on Linux since it runs 64-bit native.

I really dig Opera 9.5 and use it far more than any previous Opera version. I love Speed Dial and think Opera's rendering speed (especially in a 64-bit environment) is great.

Question: Opera and mp3

Whats the deal with Opera browser.I mean the mp3 search bar.
The browser itself has what look like three search bars.
The mid bar has a drop down menu on it which you can choose what you wish to search for. There on it is mp3,so i select it and enter a band name.It shows a list of songs ;one of which I clicked and in about 8 or 9 seconds the song was loaded.Good time isn't it.Well this download time compared to any other download i have ever done is fantastic.

What I want to know is where this music is coming from and is opera in the business of pirating music.

Answer:Opera and mp3

I believe Opera uses 'Alltheweb' search engine for it's MP3/Audio, Image, and video searching.
The speed is probably your or Opera's download manager plug-in.

I haven't used opera but as an AOL user who also uses IE and Firefox, I don't think this will be a problem, other than for the need to keep the AOL running minimised in the background (if you are an AOL subscriber you have no option but to log onto the Internet except via AOL)

Question: IE6 sp2 vs. Opera

Hello to all !!
This may seem like a problem that's "small potatoes" in the face of other problems posted here, but it's nontheless vexing to me......actually to my wife to be truthful....lol.
Here goes.......She likes to visit the Martha Stewart website for all the obvious reasons first of all. She does get there using our IE6 browser. Once there, within that webpage is a link to another "Martha page", if you will, that contains a built in menu bar which allows the user to GET TICKETS as one of the choices. For the last two weeks, she's been trying to perform this same navigation, but suddenly that aforementioned built-in menu bar doesn't show anymore once she has successfully linked to its containing webpage. In addition, the top-half of the page that I said allowed the user to GET TICKETS doesn't seem to belong there, although it's still part of a valid Martha Stewart webpage. How bizarre is that ?? I should mention that no other websites have been a problem with these particular characteristics when using IE6. Now here's the kicker......I also have Opera installed on my system, and, using that particular browser gets her to the properly linked page COMPLETE with the missing menu bar that lets her choose the GET TICKETS tab within it every time. This may seem a little vague, hopefully not, but its pretty straightforward actually. Can anyone out there possibly shed any light on this one ????
My specs are as follows: Win... Read more

I don't mind having the odd ad if the software is free - but what else does the Opera Browser get up to ? Could it be classed as spyware ? Does anybody know ?

Answer:ads in Opera

To the best of my knowledge Opera doesn't do any spying.

As for the ads, it's a bit tricky to learn, but if you can get the knack of running it full screen and using keyboard shortcuts to configure the window, they don't run. You can do a ctrl-b to see what the keyboard shortcuts are.

Question: ff / opera

Is there any news if either of these programs are going to be able to interpret websites correctly any time soon? Just.. every site I goto is different in firefox, I'm trying to make my site compatible with IE and FF, but it's just that these third party browsers don't interpret websites correctly, they use their own brand.. when are they going to fix this? I want tabs on my browser!, that's all FF is good for anyways lol, security? please.. any computer literate person SHOULD have their computer secure and shouldn't have to download a browser to do this.. faster? Pages all load the same speed to me, even as FF "caches" them, still the same.

So anyways, any news?

Answer:ff / opera

Its the other way around, IE uses its own standards. Both FireFox and Opera are very good at rendering websites with proper code correctly.

But hat does "correctly" mean?

If you make a website in Frontpage it will probably look the same way in IE, but if you make it in Dreamweaver it will probably look the same in Opera because they use the same engine.

Question: FF v IE v Opera

I am interested to learn differences / benefits, specific to:

1. How often are the home pages of users using FF & O hijacked, vs the home pages of IE users?

2. If a user of FF or O goes to a web site that could hijack IE's home page, will IE's home page be hijacked, or does one have to use IE to get into trouble?

3. If one browses using FF or O, can the tcp/ip stack or the winsock stack become corrupt? If one uses FF or O, does one need the LPS fix tools?

4. Do FF & O avoid hijacking because they don't read activeX, or are other mechanisms involved? If other mechanisms are involved, what are they?

Thanks for your comments.

B123

Answer:FF v IE v Opera

1. I've never heard of any hijackers effecting ff or opera
2. Unlikely, but vulnerabilties in IE can be exploited even if it isn't used, so best to keep it up to date
3. Corruptions in tcpip and winsocks can happen for a lot of reasons, especially on 9x machines, although given that ff and opera offer better protection against spyware using them reduces the probabilty
4. Its largely because of ActiveX, but also other vulnerablities exist in IE which can be exploited. Vulnerabilites exist in other browsers but writers of malware don't bother exploiting them because of their small market share.

Opera - it was the best of times and it was the worst of times.

I was using Opera with great success until about a week ago and then it wouldn't load unless I do some stuff to clear up the problem which I have not.    How can something that worked so well from the beginning become non-functioning.     I'm not looking for an answer since they told me what I need to do I just haven't done it I'm procrastinating.     I hope there are no noticeable results from this sale for the common guy on the street.  Oh, I remember now - I deleted Opera and intend to reinstall and see if that fixes things now if I can just download it without picking up any extras.   I HATE EXTRAS they are sneaky little things.
