I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

Hello, I've never really payed much attention to motherboards, but after purchasing a few more upgrades (including a Thermaltake Aguila case) I realized I should have payed more attention to it.

From what I can tell, I assume it is an nVidia nForce3 250 series motherboard? But I think i bought it over a year ago, so the manual it came with is long gone. The small wires that plug into the Motherboard for the power and reset switches were easy enough to copy with the new case, but it also has several other things in it, there are 2 USB ports, a Firewire port aswell as sockets for headphones and a microphone in the top but I have no idea where the wires plug into on the motherboard, aswell as that there are 2 others inside the case that I have no clue as to what they do. I have been searching for some sort of online manual so I can figure out where everything plugs in, but to no avail.

I guess that's just a long-winded way of me saying, does anyone know where I can find a manual for my Motherboard please?

Hi all,

I am working to fix my Equium P300-16T.

In my previous thread I was having a problem booting it after disassembling it and now I have at least solved that one (I simply removed the CMOS battery again, left it out for about two hours, reassembled and at least the monitor is working and the BIOS is booting).

I need to ask Foxconn for the motherboard manuals but I am unable to locate the motherboard model. I have tried with all the possible numbers on all the possible stickers that I found on the motherboard but on the official Foxconn website there's no match.

Does anybody know what model motherboard this laptop uses? I know it should be a Socket 775.

Hi buddy,

I don?t know you want exactly but mainboard manuals are not available. The only manual you can download is the user manual but this one you should have already.

Furthermore it would be interesting to know why you need it. Unfortunately it?s not available and only an ASP can tell you, which other notebooks are using this mainboard too. But don?t forget that notebook mainboard are specific parts and designed for one notebook series only.

Your link does nothing; it simply goes to the mfg's site NOT a link to the board.

Next you do not need a manual to install the board into the case. If you look at the top of this forum, there are some guides. In one of them there is a step by step procedure for installing a board into a case.

Have you looked on the board itself? The mfg's name should be on the board AND the type of chipset. If it is something like an nforce or via chipset, you can download the board driver from the chipset maker's site.

As to what cpu, the manual will be out of date anyway. Board maker's release bios updates to support new cpus.

By chance did this board come out of a big box system like a dell, hp, gateway, etc?
If so and you are attempting to install it in a standard atx type case, you will almost always have problems.

For example, for a modern OEM ASUS laptop motherboard I can only find the dumbed down user manual on the manufacturer's website (not the actual motherboard manual).

I'm looking for the motherboard manual which has instructions on for example: form factor (ATX, micro-ATX, mini-ATX,..), how to reset the BIOS, how to upgrade the BIOS, what jumpers represent what, electrical scheme/design (complete with transistor types, voltages, etc). In other words, specialized information, not general information.

In summary: the OEM manufacturer manuals out there are too plain, simple and lacking detail. Where do I find the actual technical motherboard manuals like the ones I described above?

Bad news buddy...
The notebooks maintenance manuals are not published on any of Toshiba pages.
It seems that such manuals are not for public usage but only for Toshiba authorized service partners.

But to be honest I don't understand why you need such manual...
The motherboard is a special designed Toshiba part only for the Satellite A25/A20 series.
So if you want to replace is you need to use exactly the same part.

Hi,

I just purchased a Qosmio F20 in Spain, and I'm struggling with Spanish Windows, and with the Spanish instruction manual.
Is there an online instruction manual or a way of getting an English one? Stuff like using the DVD rewriter and getting the TV set up is difficult in a foreign language you arent too hot at.
Obviously, the Windows issue isnt anything to do with Toshiba, but if there are links to user manual online or something I would be grateful.

The Toshiba notebooks are preinstalled with the Toshiba image and if you buy the notebook in Spain you will get the OS in the same language.
The other possibility is to install the OS from the original Microsoft CD and then to install all necessary Toshiba drivers.

I have recently purchased a Satalitte P100 from Spain. I live here now and my spanish is OK but not good enough to fully understand a user manual.

Can any one tell me if I can get one in english from somewhere even a PDF would be great as there is so much I am sure I am missing, also it came with vista pre-installed and that has caused me a little headache too.

I bought my Y560 from main Lenovo website from the states but ALL my accessories are Chinese- chinese powerchord (not the standard US 2 prong or 3 prong)- all 4 recovery discs, when I put them in- ALL prompts were chinese characters- Any paper I had- the quick fix, how to get started manual, etc were in CHINESE Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how was it resolved? Tech support and customer service keep bouncing me back and forth. This is ridiculous, have computer but can't use. Have spent over 20 hrs on the phone w/ Lenovo w/ very little encouraging words b/c the call reps are not understanding the problem.  I'd understand maybe if I got this from amazon or an odd website but am shocked it happened when I got the system directly from Lenovo. Looking forward to being less confused & annoyed. Hello,  I have a H50-55 with a Bantry CRB 31900058 STD MB and was wondering if there is a manual for it?  I'd like to move it into a new case to keep it cool as I make small upgrades to it.  What I can't find is something that'll help me in connecting a new case's front pannel with the motherboard.  The case I'm interested in is the DeepCool tesseract sw. Great i found this page! Had the same problem with the same motherboard! Since you seem to have some knowledge about this, can you tell me if you can connect USB 3.0 cables from the front of an case (this case it's the Corsair 200R) to this MB? I connect it to USB_1 on the mb (i don't know the name of this type of connection) but it doesn't seem to work

I don't think most people will, and probably never if they buy an off-the-shelf PC, that provided documentation for the motherboard comes with it. I once started to read the motherboard manual, after the first page I decided I wasn't that bored, it went into way too much detail.

Greetings, Your on your own. I know of no all encompassing manual containing the information you and I would like to have at our disposal. There are bits and pieces of information at your PC's support site. I have quite a few HP systems and have had to use due diligence to find configuration and troubleshooting information. OEM's like it that way. I have an old Acer Aspire m3100 desktop and the case to it is broken, I have another case for it but I do not have the installation manual to show me how to reconnect all of the connections from this other case. How can I get or find the diagram showing how to make all connections to this motherboard. I'm trying to restore this computer for my grandson? any help would be appreciated, I've tried contacting Acer but they won't help unless the computer is under warranty and their third-party support doesn't do hardware issues?? I also downloaded a manual from online but it doesn't show the right info.

Case wiring is pretty standard in most cases (no pun intended). Any details you have about the case your switching to would be helpful.

Motherboards mostly have the names of sockets screen printed next to them.

My son brought me his roomates three year old computer that would not boot. No real problem fixing it, it was a simple corrupt boot sector. After a repartition, format and reinstall I identified the Motherboard and proceeded to gather up and install the drivers. I noticed that both the power and HDD led's did not work. Someone had replaced the motherboard and failed to hook them up. I thought I would save some time and download the manual to to see the correct wiring. Although the manufacturer had the download listed the file was empty. This is a NForce 3 chipset MB. I checked with five other mauufactures that make comparable products and their manuals were avaiable for downloading. I cannot understand a manufacturer that won't supply support information (documentation) for something only three years old. I guess I will try the trial and error mehod, no big deal I will figure it out. Now my question, Does anybody know where to go for for archived product documentation that is no longer avaiable thru the maunfactures website?

I found the same problem with an older board I acquired, I never did get the manual, I just dug out my test meter and found out that way, only advice I can offer is to try the Mobo websites forum maybe..

Sadly not most laptop motherboards at uniqe to the model they ship in so you would have to track down a service manual for that laptop, but that can be very hard as some manufactures don't release them. The only ones I am certain that do are IBM an occasionally Dell but even then finding them is hard if not impossable without having to get a load of others you don't need. They also encompass alot of info that you wont need like details of BIOS revisons up to the date of the publication of the manual, Variations an revisions of the board, Details of the screens that moddel has shiped with, a list of batteries it is compatable with charger details etc, etc.

What are you after one for as we might be able to help you any way. Or we might be able to point you in the right direction at the very least.

Hello,

I am having some trouble putting the power sw, reset, LEDs etc in the correct pins. I have heard that the best way to get the correct order is to read the motherboard manual. The problem is that I bought the computer on the cheap without a manual so I am trying to find it online, sadly without success. If someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, My motherboard for my H535s appears to have died (Power on, fans spin, nothing else happens) and as it appears to be impossible to get a replacement (out of warranty) I would like to use a gigabyte FM2 A78 motherboard as a replacement.  The pinouts (F_Panel, F Audio, F USB 1 & 2) on the replacement MB are smaller than those on the original lenovo MB. This board has a VIA KT133 (VT8368) AGPset SokA and has a box with "The Power" on picture. But no name of a manuafacturer.Unless the Power is a actual MB name/manufacturer.Anyone seen one of these or got any ideas.

When the PC boots, make a note of the numbers and letters at the bottom of the screen. This will give you the BIOS date followed by the boadr manufacturer. Search on teh web for the numbers after the date and yuo should find a site which tells you the manufacturer and motherboard details.

I have a fancy tower with a flashing blue light inside and I had my husband put the motherboard from another tower into this one. The mother board has this stamped on it: HT 2000 MCP61PM AM, Rev:1.0, 15-V01-011000 ei. Well, my tower has a reset button on it, but we don't know where to put the wire for it on the motherboard or even if we can. My tower has a few other extra wires for extra stuff but again not sure where to attach to motherboard. So, we need the schematic for the dumb thing. The motherboard was part of a Gateway package, so, of course, we did not get any information about anything. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me where to view/download a manual for my motherboard?
It is a Syntax S845GE.
My real issue, is trying to upgrade the memory above 768 MB. I have recently purchased 3 different sticks, all 1 gig pc2700.
All of them cause windows to blue screen before it will boot. I am able to get into the cmos setup, but it will not verify the amount of ram installed. If I try to reload windows, it gives an error that windows xp needs atleast 64MB of memory.
I am almost sure this motherboard will support 2 GB of ram, but I am wondering if I may need to change a jumper.

The board number you posted, i.e. S845GE gives me reason to feel confident that the board is either one of the standard Intel 845 series boards that used the 845GE chipset and the machine manufacturer just changed the Intel designation from a D845 series to a S845 series, OR, a manufacturer proprietary board built on an Intel 845 series board.

I ASSUME that the machine would boot prior to trying to install the additional memory. If this is correct, install the old memory, and proceed with the following instructions.

There are a couple of things you can do to determine if the board is a standard Intel board, or a manufacturer proprietary board.

1st download the Intel Chipset ID Utility to your desktop, and launch the application. It will immediately identify the chipset if it is an Intel chipset.

After you identify the chipset, reboot the machine and when it is booting continuously tap the F2 key to access BIOS. I have been searching for days for a motherboard manual. I've never had so much trouble finding detailed specifications. I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre (M58e?) 7268 C5U. The system board is marked L-IG41M FRU71Y6838 003. I'm not sure if the EA matters, but it is 4487FC74DBE9. Or if anyone could provide details on the front panel connector information (colors of wires, positive and negative pin placement)... I would greatly appreciate any help that could be provided.

Looking for a manual for a Matsonic MS7308E motherboard. The Matsonic website is no help and I just can't seem to find it anywhere. Really I just need to see the little map for the switch, HD LED, etc. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Try here. It shows a manual for the MS7308ET but according to Matsonic these should be pretty much the same. Difference between the 2 is the ET has 4 channel sound and the E only 2 channel.

I posted a thread a while ago, and I thought something was preventing my computer from sleeping (Mouse or keyboard), but I have tried the lastwake command and it will say my keyboard at first, but keeps coming up with something else that awakened it my computer from sleep (As I disable all the things preventing sleep from device manager).
I was talking to my mouse' manufacturer support and apparently it's a setting in allot of motherboards that do not turn off USB devices after the system is shut down.
The thing I don't understand is, I have my computer set to sleep whenever it's left idle for something like 30-60 minutes, and it sleeps without waking straight after. It's just if I click 'Sleep' from the start menu, it won't do it .
I have looked around in my Asus M4A89GTD PRO BIOS but can't find it, I tried disabling some things but didn't do as I wanted. At this point I don't know if it's my motherboard or if it is indeed a USB device.

In device manager, under Univerisal Bus controllers, usb - right click, power management and make sure you go through and uncheck the boxs that say "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Double check the same for keyboards and mice, then make sure that the box is checked for Under keyboards and mice, under power management "allow this device to wake the computer".

Its a biostar GeForce 6100-M7 and the biostar website does not offer the manual, does anyone know where it might be available? were having an issue with sound and we think it might be the pin settings so we need to manual as a guide.

I'm trying to rewire an old Motherboard that had all it's wires disconnected. No problem for IDE, floppy disk and power from the powersupply, but the "switch connectors" (front power switch, HDD light, reset, etc) are another story. My motherboard's model number is M754AL-LR-FATX. A quick Google search came up with ABIT as the manufacturer. Went of course on the company's site but could not find manuals or drivers for this board (too old??). I'm not even sure it is the right manufacturer. Partial name on google gets me PC Chip manufacturer but nothing on their site either.

Basically, I just want to order with which to plug in the wires coming from the front of the computer case.

If anyone can help me find the actual manufacturer or manual for this motherboard, I would greatly appreciate it!

BTW, on the MB close to the pin connectors, there are instructions that say which pin numbers go for which connectors (numbers one to 22), but the pins themselves aren't numbered so it's not that much help. There are two rows of 11 pins. When I'm looking at the MB, where is pin #1, pin #2, etc... ?? If someone can help me number the pins, I'd probably do ok.

I was given an old pc, the motherboard is an xcel 2000. 1 pci, 1 isa, on board graphics,and sound,also an pentium III processor.The pc is not booting up, Hard drive runs, floopy runs, but I have no image on the monitor. Hi there! New to the site and figured I'd ask here. I'm scheduled for a mobo replacement tomorrow for an Acer Aspire L5100. Usually this is not a problem but the client claims after some other guy replaced his board, the sound no longer works. So now he has a new board coming in and I'm to replace it, hopefully correcting the sound issue.

I am wondering if the previous guy who put the board in accidentally forgot to connect something on the board. I'm quite new to the hardware side of things and acquiring as much knowledge as I can and would definitely appreciate the wisdom anyone could offer!

I should also add that Acer support is terrible! I got onto chat with an Acer employee who informed me that motherboard manuals are not provided online because it is not recommended a user do such a thing! He then told me I could purchase a manual from Best Buy or Staples. Shouldn't this information be free?

Nothing needs to be connected to make the sound work off an onboard sound card unless we're talking about the front aux ports so that's not the issue. I'm going to say the drivers need to be reinstalled.

No, Acer doesn't need to supply you anything as far as a maintenance manual because they assume since you're buying prebuilt you don't have the knowledge to repair it on your own and any attempt will void the warranty if it is existent. So why provide a manual on how to void the warranty?

Hey everyone, I am trying to install new parts onto my workstation. I accidently unplugged the cables that connect to the power switch and such. I was wondering if there was a manual for the Motherboard that would show me exactly where to plug the switches in at. Having a Acer 1996 motherboard can't find any user guide instructions or even specs.

Anyone know where to find a manual?

In startup the message appears "computer has been openend" or something similar.
How can I stop that? perhaps a jumper or switch?

Why do I have to use F1 functionswitch to startup?
Is there a way to avoid that and start right trough?

i have n200 0769 b5g i dont know how to remove the cover and how to replace the keyboard.. i want to temporarily disconect the keyboard on the mother board then i wll use an external keyboard so i can temporarily solve the backslash problem of mine.. it keeps appearing... and its so annoying... then if i can bring my laptop to lenovo service center i will replace the original keyboard or whatever solution that is available...

Service manual is not public document and, as far as I know, Toshiba does not offer such documents for download. Can you imagine what can happen if everyone can disassemble so expensive notebook like Qosmio?

You have to change also the right channel on the TV. If you have connected the notebook with the s-video out port so you have to enable it on the TV.

Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find a service manual / engineers guide for a Satellite L30?? I have a broken hinge on my laptop and Toshiba were very helpful in helping me find replacement parts - via Topaz. They were also a bargain at only ?8.00 + postage for a pair of them. However......when I enquired about 'how to fit them?' they both became rather 'un-helpful'!!!!

And I really don't feel like paying PC World the ?219.00 they quoted to fit them!!!
I have no fear of opening and playing around with the insides, but any help or 'pointers' would be gratefully appreciated.

Group, I've searched all variables I could think of here to no avail. I also have tried several times to track it down on Lenovo's site.  I can repair it and trouleshoot it with the documentation I've found. But, I'd also like to be able to "run" it.  My new X200 should be here today/tomorrow and I'd really like to RTFM before it gets here. Thanks for any leads someone can provide. Bob
