Preferred Solution: Difficulty printing just the text of emails in Outlook.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Difficulty printing just the text of emails in Outlook.

Right click and drag to highlight right click again and select print then in your print options click on print selected

Windows XP
Outlook 2003 (POP3, no exchange server)

I have a user on our network who is experiencing a really long lag time for printing plain text emails, but not for HTML emails. All other applications (Word, IE, etc) are also printing fine. The lag time can be up to several minutes, and he's found that when he does a ctrl alt delete it will prompt the printing window to come up (with the task manager), and then he can print. It's not a debilitating problem, but it's really annoying. I've already tried deleting and recreating the outlprnt file, but to no avail.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Out of nowhere I find that when I want to print an email message from Outlook it will only print in memo style. Normally printing is as it is in MS Word. What has happened and how can I change it back please.

Answer:Printing emails in Outlook

I don't know for sure, but you could try clicking on the File menu of Outlook, and then > Print. You will find a "Print Style" box with two options - Memo Style and Table Style. If Memo is selected try the other.

Since my laptop crashed, I have had to use an older laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and all of a sudden I cannot print to my 2 month old Epson XP-420 printer.  I had last saved something as a PDF and when i tried to change the setting to print
to the Epson printer, it only gives me the option of Microsoft XPS document writer and Fax.  When i try to Add Printer, it does find the Epson but keeps telling me the  installation failed.  The printer IS installed and is listed in my Control
Panel under Devices and Printers, but does not show up for printing my emails.  When I For some reason, I have an old GMail account listed for which i cannot remember the password, nor when I opened it or last used it, so I tried to Add Account and it
took me right to Google Accounts.  Apparently, I also used my MSN email for a Google account at some point, and again don't remember the password or when, if ever, i last used it.  Since I do not remember when I opened or last used either of these
accounts and have never used any of the "other" Google services, Google will not let me recover either account.  Please help me figure out how I can get this email printed - it is important.

Hi Everyone!A user has recently noticed that when they have printed an email the main body text is next to the subject line. Example----------------------------------------------------------------------From:To:Cc:Subject:Hi John SmithThank you for your order....----------------------------------------------------------------------Normally there is a line between the subject and the main text. Is there anything they can do to cure this problem? The only way I can think of is by pressing ENTER before I start typing my email. That way it will leave a line. Could it be to do with margins, Word being the Outlook Email editor, etc?Your help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanksRuss Barnes

I have an issue. I have about 500 emails that I need to print. They are in a remote drive. They are in .msg format. I need to be able to print them WITHOUT my name coming up in the header. I already tried highlighting the text and right clicking but that only gives me copy, select all, ec but no print. So, what I have done is highlight the text and copy to a blank Word document. But that is a drag (no pun intended) when I have well over 500 emails to do. Is there a better way to get these emails printed?

Thanks

I know it?s not environmentally friendly to print out emails but for work I don?t have a choice. The problem I have using Outlook 2007 is that when I print an email a dialogue box appears asking how many copies I want but not giving me the option to choose page 1 of 2 for example. Therefore I print off numerous pages a day with just a few lines on page 2, usually the client?s disclaimer to be put into the recycle box.Has anyone found a swift and effective way either through Outlook or with a separate program to only print off the pages you want?Hopefully I?m not being totally dumb and missing something obvious.Thank youFatboy415

I use a much older version of Outlook, so the following may not be relevant, but...When you print, are you just clicking the print button? If so, try clicking Print on the File menu instead. This should give you the full choice of printer options to select from.

Answer:Outlook not printing header in HTML emails

Possibly it has something to do with IE7.
I know of these two workarounds:
- save the mesage in a .htm(l) file, open it with a browser and print
- convert the message to text first (you can add this function to the outlook tollbar for convenient use)

Upgraded from W7 to 10 a month ago. Printer worked fine for everything EXCEPT Outlook (Hotmail) emails, - just shows a picture of 2 mobile phones and the message "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in at the moment. Please try again later". Following advice from another forum, I deleted and reinstalled the printer (an old HP6940). Now, although the printer is "recognised", it won't print anything at all! This seems to be a problem others have had. Can someone advise me in very simple easy to follow language please!

Answer:Printing outlook emails Windows10 problem

Is it set at the Default Printer?
If you haven't got Control Panel on your desktop or menu then the easiest way to find out is to click on the Small Win 10 Start logo, scroll up to Settings and click on that. Click on Devices which should give you a list of connected peripherals.
Make sure that your printer is listed then scroll down to the blue printed Devices and printers and click on that.
Control Panel will open (it sometimes takes a little while to populate first time) then scroll down to the printers and make sure that there is a green tick over your HP6940.
If not Right Click it and click on Set as Default Printer.

Wondering if anyone can help with a strange problem. The text for writing emails in Outlook is set to 12. The first one, two maybe three paragraphs of an email I'm writing the text is the correct size.

However, as I go further down the page, lower paragraphs usually get smaller on their own the text goes down one, maybe two sizes. The type ends up quite small, and looks daft sending emails with two or sometimes three different text sizes. All the time this happens, the text size is still set to 12.

It's a desktop pc with windows 7 and IE11.

Any help appreciated.

Answer:Why does text in Outlook/Hotmail Emails Get Smaller?

Hello Woodbine, you are not alone. I have searched this before, and there are several ridiculous threads at Microsoft Answers (more like MS torture!). An example:

The font size changes when I am composing my email. - Microsoft Community

All without fixes. Some had success buy removing their email signature, where applicable. It has been a while, but I think it also had something to do with a corrupted Calibri font. You might try reinstalling that font

Calibri - Free Font Download

This isn't the fix for everyone. It has been a while, there was a spate of these when Hotmail changed to Outlook.com. This was also a problem in Office I believe.

My dad recently got a new laptop to replace his five year old beast. On that five year old beast is thousands upon thousands of very important business emails and legal documents. Naturally, he needs to have access to these emails.

Due to his concerns about getting his new laptop up and running, I didn't get to do the logical thing and transfer his old emails and settings over to his new laptop before he started using it. Now, it's been over a month and his new laptop is quickly accumulating new piles of vital emails.

I need to find a way for him to read his old emails quickly and easily.

He uses Microsoft Outlook. I've got the original computer with all the emails on it as well as his new computer. Can I import his old email into Outlook on his new computer without losing any of his new email or overwriting his new settings? Failing that, is there a way for me to view his emails, as saved by Outlook in .dbx files, in plain text?

Note: this isn't a situation where I can just try something and hope it works. My dad's a lawyer and losing a single email can be roughly equivalent to the end of the world. So I'm not going to do anything experimental like trying to import his old emails just to see if it works unless someone knows for sure that it will.

Answer:Read emails in plain text without Outlook

Ah I was going to aim you at a small app that was free but now costs $5 called DBExtract as it will do exactly what you need.

http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx

it recovers the emails into a text file, sadly leaves the header and footer info ( email server info etc in the text file )

Worth a look at the app anyhow, their maybe an older free version still knocking around on the net.

I've been getting a few emails using Outlook 2007 where the text is missing when I open it but when it in first in the inbox, the auto preview shows some of the text there. Several years ago we had this problem and it (back when we had Win 98 and had upgraded to IE 6.0) and we had to extract mlang.dll from the Win 98 installation CD and replace it.

Mosaic1 posted, " mlang.dll is one of the files which is updated when IE is. If you have extracted a copy from the installation disk, you have the wrong version of it. I use IE5.5SP! and the version is 5.50.4522.1800.

Back then I got no emails with text, this time it appears sporatic. I've scanned the computer with AVG, SUPERAntispyware, Malwarebytes, and all is well. Any suggestions???

I have over 200 emails I need to print in Outlook, however, when I select all, it gives me this error:

"One or more of the items you tried to print does not support printing and did not print."

I can print each on individually from the same preview pane, but I have a
task at hand where I need to print some 200 messages. I even narrowed it down by attempting to take 5-6 at a time to see if there is an isolated error, but it still gives me the error message on many different variations I try when selecting multiples. Again, I can print each individually, but not by selecting all at one time.

When some of our users print off a HTML email in outlook 2003 it doesn't print the header to the email or any of the attachments. As the header contains all the information about when the emails was sent this is really important when printing the email off to put with the contract.

Just to be clear, it's not the actual attachment that we need to print off, just the email with the header and the attachments showing as icons.

The machines are running XP Pro SP2 outlook 2003 sp2 and the server is on Exchange 2003 enterprise sp2.

I would like to know how to suppress the
Account Name (and long line underneath it)
that is printed on the very top of emails
when using Outlook 2007.

I have tried third party tools but have not
been able to get them to work for me.
OutlookPrinter.com is one of the add-ins
that I have tried without success.
They have an example (on their main web page)
of what I am talking about.

In the example, "Thomas Wetzel" is printed at the top
of the email with a heavy line underneath the name.

Any ideas?

I am currently supporting a number of users having problems with outlook 2003. One of the pressing issues I'm dealing with at the moment has to do with when user reply to emails sent to them in Plain Text format.

The user's I support use either HTML or Rich Text format in Creating and Editting emails. The problem here is when they reply to emails sent to them in Plain Text format, they find that the format signature get messed up(say they lose their styles, size and colours).

Has anyone encountered this problem before and is there any work around.

Answer:Outlook 2003 - Reply to emails sent in Plaint text

When selecting the [Reply] button, Outlook always creates a message following the format of the original message (Plain Text, Rich Text, or HTML). You can then change it to the look you desire by selecting the [message Format] button, to your format of choice.

As for any Signature Lines that may already be inserted, you will just need to manually edit to make it what you now want.

Hi everyone,

We are currently running Outlook 2007 on all of our machines. Does anyone know if Outlook has the ability to add text to a message that is auto forwarded? We have email that comes into one mailbox, hits a rule and gets forwarded off to another mailbox. I want to know if there is a way to automatically add text into the body of the email when the message is forwarded. I have run through the rules and it does not look like Outlook 2007 has that functionality. If anyone knows if and how this can be done, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have my default email format set to .html. When I compose a new message it looks like everything's working just fine. I send my .html message and even in my sent box, it shows that my .html message formatted properly. However, when others open my messages, they have been converted to plain text. I've checked my office-mates computers and they do not have the setting "convert incoming messages to plain text" so that can't be the problem. I've tested it with 5 people using Outlook who can receive .html messages just fine. I've tested it with my Yahoo address to. For some reason, Outlook is converting my .html (and Rich Text too) email messages into plain text. Everyone else in the office sends and receives html email with a nicely formatted signature just fine. Why can't I? Please help!

Answer:Solved: Outlook 2003 Bug - html outgoing emails converted to plain text

Do you have any anti-virus software running on the PC? Some antivirus software may install an Outlook add-in that may convert the message to plain text to avoid spreading of viruses. Check under your "Add-Ins" and disable them all to see if one of the add-ins is causing the problem. If you are on an Exchange server the admin may have also disabled this functionality.

Rollin

This is my second post on the subject as I try to understand why Word 2010 makes it so difficult to set up envelope printing. When you go to Mailings and then choose Envelopes either of two screens will appear. The one you want should be headed "envelopes and labels" but usually the other one appears "envelope options".There must be some trick to getting the former screen to appear but I still cannot work out how. Reverting to Word 2003 is one way of getting round it, but what is the point of having sophisticated Word 2010 in that case? I wish somebody from Microsoft would see this post and reply.

Answer:Difficulty printing envelopes in Word 2010

Seems to me that you would be happier using a template for your envelope, (I presume it is single envelopes you want to create, and not one attached to a document)Click on File > Newand on the list there are envelope templates to choose from, both from on your pc and on Office.com click here for more info on Word 2010 templates.

My manager's pc is running xp sp2 and outlook 2003 sp2 on a HP compaq dc7100.

When he randomly opens emails (by double clicking on them, not previewing/reading) and tries to print them (either menu/icon/right click), he gets the error "operation failed".

A reset doesn't fix the problem and I'm aware that html pages need to be opened properly before printing, but like I said, he opens them and gets the error.

Does anybody know of a solution/patch or an explanation?
Or is there anything else I should check for?

EDIT

The emails he gave an example of have rich text, not plain black and white. But there are plenty of rich text emails that do work.

All this was done on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I've been trying to get the "Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE or use the Windows Security button to <log on/unlock this computer.>" text changed.

I made a copy of the authui.dll.mui files from both System32/en-US/ and SysWOW64/en-US/ to another location. I opened them up in Resource Hacker , went to String Table/753/1033 and changed the text for items 12035 and 12036 , hit Compile Script , and then save. I then made backups of the originals, took file ownership so that I could delete them, and, finally, replaced them. To verify that this operation was successful, I opened the files, now in their respective en-US folders, back up in Resource Hacker . Each text field displays precisely what I set it to. However, when I lock the computer or log off, the text has not been changed at all. Even after a reboot, the text has not been changed. Afterwards, I went back into the en-US folders to make sure they didn't revert and found my changes in place.

I've done quite a bit of searching and no one seems to be suggesting anything beyond what I've done. I would appreciate any help with this matter. Thanks.

Answer:Difficulty changing Secure Logon text prompt

This is called DLL hell.

Likely your Windows is using another copy of authui.dll.mui file from C:\Windows\winsxs\ folder. I can not give you exact subfolder in your WINSXS folder, because it depends on your system situation, but you should be able to find it with simple search.

Hello guys,

My English teacher has given us two .MP3 files. They are small stories in English language. We should first write a summary about that then translate the whole text into our native language. It is an exercise!
If it was a text I could write a brief text about it and also translate it into our native language immediately. But the problem is that since the speed of the English-language narrator man is very quick I can't completely understand what he says.

I tried to find some apps to convert voice to text and installed some of them but no one worked properly!

Is there any idea how to convert those .MP3 English files to text?
It's an emergency and I'll be very thankful if someone can help me.

Answer:Difficulty with a .MP3 English file and Voice to text converter

I don't think there is any way of doing that. A trick that I've found useful in my efforts to learn a foreign language is to play the mp3 file in Apple's Quick Time Player (Free). You can alter the playback speed. There are several slow speed options. At the extreme it all sounds zombie like but things are much easier to follow.

Ok this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.

Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".

I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.

Any thoughts this has me baffled.

How do I find and remove hidden data and personal information in my Office documents?

You can use the Document Inspector to find and remove hidden data and personal information in Office documents that were created in Office Word 2007, Office Excel 2007, Office PowerPoint 2007, and earlier versions of these Office programs. I have created a document in MS Word 2010 that has a textbox with a background color. When I print the document to my printer (have tried multiple printers) or print to PDF, the textbox prints but the text itself does not print. (see attached image)

Upon further investigation of the PDF, I found that the text is actually layered below the textbox. For some reason, Word is printing the textbox on top of the text itself.

When I take the textbox, copy it to a new document, and try to print, it prints correctly.

I have also checked my printing preferences and I believe all the settings are correct.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

The total amount of text material I'm trying to input requires the creation of a 12-page booklet. This project is actually the sixth in a series I began nearly ten years ago on my old computer, using the old Adaptec software that was in there. This older software not only allowed me to paste text, but photos and clipart, and shrink everything to sizes that fit the booklet pages. Only text goes into this project; but I'm having absolutely no luck doing the same thing with the new software. Every attempt I've made to copy text sections I'd like to paste seems to meet the same problem--when I go back to the Roxio side and pull down the "edit' menu, "paste" doesn't light up--it's as if the Roxio software has no idea I've copied something to the clipboard. I've poured fruitlessly looking for my answer in the user guide; got nothing out of the software's numerous tutorials (none of which dealt with my problem); and got simply a terse answer from Roxio's online help ("tex... Help!

I created a table using Excel, and from that table I created a line chart using the Chart Wizard.

After the chart was complete, I then added data using the drawing tools "add text icon."

When I want to included the data table when printing, the text that I added prints fine.

Now here is where the problem occurs. if I just select the chart, the text disappears, and if I do a print preview or print, the text doesn't show up. The text that I added is behind the chart in a cell. I tried to bring it forward but that doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

If I create the table in Power Point, and then add the text, everything prints fine. I don't understand why it works in Power Point and not in Excel.

Thank you for your help.

Answer:Excel-Printing Text that was added to a Chart using the Drawing Tools "Text Icon"

When you select a chart in Excel, that becomes the print range. I think you'll be better off copying the chart to it's own worksheet and resizing to desired size...and of course, carry the text box(es) along with it.

My Sent Items and Inbox folders became filled with emails on Tuesday and I was unable to send or receive emails until I removed several thousand old emails from both folders (which I did, then the system was running fine again as of late Tuesday). I discovered this problem when I attempted to send 3 emails with attachments, making the emails around 5 megabytes each in size (I did not realize that the recipient's system could not handle any email more than 2 megabytes - thus, my Outlook Express kept trying to send these emails every 1 minute for 3 hours until I discovered the problem). I had to delete around 100 email notifications that the recipient could not receive emails at that size and that my email boxes were full.

I corrected these problems and relocated the emails from my Outlook Box to Drafts (until the recipient can change his settings).

All day Wednesday (yesterday) I was able to send & receive emails without a problem. This morning I was sending & recieving as well, then all of a sudden, I was unable to receive any emails. When Outlook attempts to receive, I briefly see a box with the number of emails attempting to be received, then I get an Unknown Error message. I am able to send emails without any problem and my Internet connection has been stable all day.

I've rebooted, turned on & off Outlook. I even disconnected my Internet connection, then reconnected it. I've checked my Outlook settings and they are fine. I also turned off my ... Read more

Answer:Outlook Express Won't Receive Emails - but Sends Emails with good Internet Connection

Hi rherrygers

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums!

Have you attempted to logon to your ISP's mail server to see what messages are still on the mail server along with determining the size of the messages?
Outlook Express may be timing out trying to download a message that is larger than normal.
Did you also send yourself a copy of the message with the attachment?

Can you post the exact error message please?
If the Send/Receive window is not appearing, you can make it appear by double clicking the area marked in red here:
When the Send/Receive window appears, click the Errors tab, right click on the error message and select Copy and paste the error message here.

SO I check my work email on my blackberry and receive messages there and also on my Outlook Web Access. However, the issue is that when I am looking at the email panel on my Blackberry (not opening the unread emails), it shows the the emails are marked as 'read' on Outlook even though I never actually opened them on the BB. I know it is not Outlook causing this because the settings are marked for "Do not automatically mark items as Read" setting.

How do I solve this situation? I am missing important emails since I get dozens every day, and I can't keep track of them if they are all marked as Read

Help please?

I work shifts in a 5 week repeating pattern. I have this set up in Outlook and it works fine. But when I sync my Nokia 6120 classic it will only put in the 1st 5 weeks and won't sync the rest. If you put the shifts on to the phone directly it is possible to put weekly appointment but not 5 weekly ones.Is there a utility out there that will convert my Outlook repeating appointments into non repeating daily ones for say the next year?Or does anybody have any other ideas?I'm using Vista 64 bit & Outlook 2007.Thanks in advance for any Help

MS Office Outlook sending emails but no emails to send? I have added a few new accounts to my outlook and have had nothing but problems since. It is important that I keep these emails in my outlook, because I work from home and need to access these accounts. I have recently noticed, whenever I hit send receive, the number rises everyday, which now has me concerned. Each account has a different amount "sending", but nothing is in the outbox. IE: account A: sending 1 of 135, Account B: sending 1 of 1020 and so on. I also read online somewhere that if I was a torrent user, that "is" my problem, but I have stopped using it for weeks and there is no traffic going in or out, and I've turned the program off completely.

I've used Outlook for years, with many accounts and have never had problems. I've noticed more problems since this 'sending' message has started. I also noticed, I was the ONLY one at work not getting any SPAM for at least 2 yrs, UNTIL, I took a few days off, went back to work and BAM, hit with SPAM. Its a bloody nuisance because my accounts are linked with "rules and alerts", so if one is infected, all others follow behind! Has one or all of my accounts been compromised? If so, can it be fixed?

Hi All,

Thanks for reading. I have a web based email which is a 123 webmail one. Up until late last week I was receiving emails no problem since then I have had nothing. It's not that I am unpopular.

I have narrowed the problem down to... I can receive emails sent from Google, Yahoo and Hotmail emails. But whenever an email is sent through outlook this outlook email not only does not arrive but it deletes everything else in my inbox.

My head is about to explode with frustration. I don't know what to do or how to solve this.

Looking for inspiration from anywhere.

Answer:Emails sent from outlook making other emails disappear

Hi and welcome to TSG.

Not sure why mail being sent through Outlook is not actually being sent. Does it report any errors when sending? Are the messages shown as being sent?

If you are having Outlook check for new incoming e-mails on your email account(s), it may be downloading them to your computer and then deleting them from the server. There should be an advanced options setting in Outlook to have it leave incoming messages on the server.

Question: printing emails

I need to print a number of emails each day. Outlook express does not allow this without opening each one individualy. Any suggestions, I've tried selecting all the emails and then 'Print' but it only prints the first one. Any email handling software out there that would do it or is there something within Outlook Express I'm missing?

Answer:printing emails

Microsoft Outlook allows you to highlight the e-mails in the inbox and then press print. It will then print all of the highlighted e-mails.RegardsFitshase

Question: printing emails

I have recently got a new printer - Epson SX425W as well as a new computer - ACER AX3400. Both work well except when I try to print-off an email which, including the notepaper heading and email preamble, is more than one page. It will only print page one even though I set it to print "all pages" and/or say, pages 1 to 3. The print states 1 of 1 so clearly it is not responding to my instructions, I prepared a Windows document which ran to three pages and sent it to print which it did no bother. Iam experienced at setting up and using printers but this has me beat.

My computer has Windows 98. Outlook Express 5.0. In the folder "sent items", I can find no way to directly print those items. I have the little "Print Screen" program, but it has significant limitations. How best to print these items? Any way to print a message just before sending it? Thanks.

Answer:Printing sent Emails

double click on the message in the 'sent' folder so it opens up in its own window, then use the file, print option to print

same for messages in the 'outbox' before they are sent

or you could save the message (to the 'drafts' folder) before sending and print from there using the above method

Answer:printing emails

Wrong Font for Outlook Express Printing"the Outlook Express printer font depends on the screen font that you select in Internet Explorer. In other words, if you increase the screen font for viewing web pages with Internet Explorer, you will also increase the print font for printing emails with Outlook Express. To change the Internet Explorer screen font, select View from the toolbar, then select Text Size. I recommend you stick with the Medium setting. If the changes don't take effect right away, close Explorer and Outlook Express, then re-open Outlook Express and try to print."click here

The question really says all about what I want to do, or need help on. I recently signed up for a new outlook account to try out the new outlook preview and I've set up gmail to automatically forward new messages to my outlook account so that I can use outlook to manage my gmail account.

Do any of you know how I would be able to forward the old messages, and not the new ones, to my outlook? I already know that they can be fetched into outlook by outlook's very own service, forwarding would be faster, so..?! Also, since I now use outlook to send email on behalf of my gmail account, how do I make it sync each email I send using outlook with my gmail - so that gmail has it all?

How can I get Firefox to preview and print more than one page of an email?

Answer:printing emails in firefox

Firefox isn't an e-mail client, so what site are you going to for e-mail? Are you printing using the provider's functions? Or are you trying to use the Firefox print function? If you print from Firefox, you'll only get what's being displayed on the web page which may not include an entire message if that message doesn't all fit on the screen. The e-mail provider should offer a print function.

Hi! Hope someone has an easy answer to this. System is Win98se.Printer is a hp deskjet 5150. Recently upgraded to IE6 (From a Tesco disc)due to a problem.ie6 works ok and Express 6 works ok. Have checked printer properties and nothing is waiting.Does this mean a problem with HP drivers or with installation of ie6 and email.Have checked HP web site and there appears to be a later driver upgrade(Doesnt indicate why or what may have been fixed) but it is showing as 30Mb and i only have a dial up. would i be best to try and reinstall ie6 from tesco disc in case something happened on installation or must i remove ie6 and express first and then reinstall? What will happen to all my emails account settings? Can i go back to ie5 or is this not advisable.Pc only came with recovery disc not proper windows disc so other than Tesco disc how can i get an untampered version of 5 or 6.Be very grateful for any advise.

Not sure if this is the right forum; if not apols. Tried putting it in Hardware, but it didn't seem totally appropriate.

I have a Brother MFC 5860CN giving me good service. In last few weeks, when printing out emails, top margin is one half page, i.e. a 1-page email prints on the bottom half of two pages.
I have discussed with Brother and, after tests, they maintain it's a software prob. I use Outlook Express, not Outlook, although I use Windows XP and have Office Pro software (which includes Outlook).

Theory is that a recent MS Windows update has changed some parameters and thereby caused the prob. Obviously, any change to their software will cater for any glitches on MS software such as Outlook.

Mt ISP, Demon say they cannot give me tech support if I switch to Outlook, which may (or may not??) cure this prob.

Printing word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc documents are not problem and if I wish to print a web page, I can select Print Preview and change the margins (although I don't see why I should suddenly have to do this!). There is no print preview facility with Outlook Express.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Grateful for any help,
Athena12

Welcome to TSG

Well to start with Netscape 6 was the worse version ever and the email never worked right.
I would get 4.79 or 7.x.

Here bookmark this site.

http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/index6.html
Performing a "Clean" Install for Netscape 6.2 & 7.0 will tel you how to do and uninstall, back up and what files are left that you have to clean up on your own.

This happens to her on all our networked printers. Others can print emails just fine so it must be something in her Outlook settings but I cant figure it out.
