Preferred Solution: Xiaomi mi 5 on windows mobile 10. Differences.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi guys!
I'm currently a Lumia 640 LTE user. I'm very satisfied with this unit's performance and very impressed with windows 10 mobile despite it's occasional hiccups and persisting bugs, especially after coming from windows phone 8.1 with the Cherry Mobile Alpha Luxe. An acquaintance of mine is selling his Xiaomi Mi4 at an affordable price and although I despise the brand because of it's poor customer support (based on my personal experience with the Mipad), I'm thinking of buying it just to try out W10M on a premium hardware. My concern, however is that I am not so sure if the version of the W10M ROM available for the Mi4 is the old one or is it constantly updated and still updatable to current builds. Can anybody please shed some light on this? Thanks!

Answer:What is the latest build available for the Xiaomi mi4 on windows 10 mobile rom?

I have recently replace my 640 LTE with a Mi4 (the cheapest LTE versin, with 2Gb RAM) and goes much better, I Updated it to the last insider version in the fast ring and I'm happy with it.
Just one thing, only LTE versions of Mi4 had windows 10 ROM

You can safely upgrade, there's no difference in stores as it's still one and the same store. They're no two app stores for win mobile. You've got nothing to worry about

Does anyone know if MSFT is working on installers that someone can buy/get and install it on some of the popular android devices???

Answer:Is there a way to install Windows 10 on Android devices like One Plus Two or Xiaomi Mi4?

Not even close! It's a whole world in terms of OS's! What MSFT did is create a somewhat called launcher (ROM) for the Mi4 (Xiaomi) but it's only tested from the inside (Privately)
So you better grab a Windows launcher in the Play store! Or you could search (If you are lucky) a torrent of the ROM and download it (If available) flash your Android phone and we'll... You got it!
But for now! Not even heard a word of it!

During Microsoft's big announcement earlier today that Windows 10 will arrive this summer, the company also revealed that it is working with Xiaomi to test its new operating system among power users.

Answer:Microsoft is providing select Xiaomi users with a ROM to put Windows 10 on their Android smartphones

And who knows, perhaps this sort of thing could catch on to the point where handsets are sold as barebones devices that allow users to select the OS of their choice during the setup processClick to expand...

If you would have said that a year ago I would have laughed it off but not it seems like that might really be the way of the future.

There hasn't been any real innovation in the smartphone segment for the last few years, interchangeable parts on smartphones may very well be the way of the future, there just doesn't seem to be anyway to improve on what's already here without some drastic improvement like upgradability.

As far as making Windows 10 free to android users seems like a very smart move on Microsoft's part. There are currently more android phones in peoples pockets than any other smartphone. Making their OS free to them is a very easy way to get their OS in everyone's pocket.

Hello Everyone,
I am unable to install word mobile on my Lumia 640 XL LTE running on windows 10 mobile. I had actually installed this app (word) already but the had to change my memory card. After inserting my new memory card, i am able to re-install almost all of my apps except for WORD mobile.
I keep getting this error - Couldn't install. We'll try again later - The error code is 0x80073CF6. Please note, excel app was also throwing the same error but upon trying 3-4 times, it got installed. But, word is not installing at all - have tried installing at least a 100 times. I just learned that this is even remotely possible, so I would like to make it work. I'm on a Lumia 950XL (not Insider) and would love for the Mobile hotspot to automatically turn on when my phone connects to my car via Bluetooth. I want it to turn on because I have an iPod Touch in the car (that is always connected via USB to the car) for music playback. I would like that iPod Touch to be able to stream Spotify and use my 950XL's hotspot for the Internet connection. Is this possible?

Your best option may be to open device manager (with device connected) and uninstall any related device, making sure the 'Delete driver software for this device' is checked.Once you have done this, unplug your device, uninstall WMDC 6.1 and reboot your machine. Then follow the instruction on my first reply, this should sort it for you.If anyone is helpfull, please click the 'Vote as helpfull' icon.

I am trying to locate a PCI-X card to be used in a HP Proliant DualCore computer to get higher resoultion on my monitor (not for games).

Some people say that PCI cards will work. Most say that PCI-E will not.

Since I am using Windows 7 and the PCI-X cards are supposed to be the fastest, how do I find a PCI-X card with Windows 7 drivers? I also heard that a card designed for XP might work in "compatability mode", but have no idea how to do this.

Will this whole thing boil down to finding Windows 7 drivers for a PCI-X card?

Dick.

Answer:Differences in PCI, PCI-X, and PCI-E for Windows 7

PCI-X (PCI-eXtended) is an out dated, technology based on the old out dated PCI technology. PCIe (PCI-Express) has pretty much replaced PCI and PCI-X. In either case, you don't just throw a PCI-X card into your computer, you need to have PCI-X slots which most likely you do not have. PCI-X never took off in the consumer market outside of servers and mainframes.

PCIe is bar far the current fastest/best expansion connection available to computers at this time.

I have Windows 8 (not 8.1) on my desktop PC. I spend 99% of my time in the
desktop environment since it's non-touch with a keyboard and a mouse. I don't
think I have ever used the snap features on this device.

On my Windows 8.1 tablets, I can snap my desktop screen with any Metro app and
I have done so in the past. So, my wife was on my desktop PC and she had launched
a PDF in one of the default Metro readers and was wanting to view it while accessing
a spreadsheet in Excel on the desktop. I sat down and thought this would be easy I would
just snap the screens. Now, I was using a mouse because again, my monitor is not touch
screen but I could not get it to snap like on 8.1.

Maybe it was the way I was doing it, but I got the impression that Windows 8 won't snap
the desktop and a Metro screen like in 8.1?

Answer:Differences Windows 8 and 8.1

They have improved the Snap view feature in Windows 8.1, the main problem with windows 8 is that the pixel width was pre defined and one of the sides was very small. with windows 8.1 they gave you much more flexibility.

32bit operating systems are limited to about 3GB, but the performance is similar in everyday Internet/Office apps.

If you do a lot of Media creation (such as encoding high definition video or music production), then 64bit would be a better option.

After a system crash, and re-installation of windows XP (up-to-date), can anyone explain the following differences i have noted, there are probably others:
1. When I drag and drop it copies the files, and not as previous cut, how do i get it to cut?
2. When i goto turn off computer, it now gives a window with 3 icons, previously it was a drop down menu with 4 options...not worried about this one!

In my time i have completed several XP installations on my own PC, and had several PCs with windows XP at work, and have noticed both these differences previously!!

what is the difference between windows 7 OEM and retail version?

Answer:Retail vs OEM Windows 7 differences

1) OEM win7 comes preinstalled on computers. This is the cheapest way to buy windows. Large PC manufacturers like Dell, HP etc. (collectively called royalty OEMs) install windows on millions of such PCs. The main characteristics of such systems are:

a) The license agreement and support agreement is between you and the PC maker, not MS.

b) Activation by the end user is not required. Windows is preactivated at the factory by the OEM using images and standard SLP keys.

c) Your copy of windows is locked to that PC. The license is not transferable.

2) OEM system builder is what you get when you buy from say Newegg or from a local "white box" vendor. It too has the characteristics of Royalty OEM windows. Although it is possible for an individual to buy a System Builder copy, the license requires that the software be installed using the OPK (OEM preinstall kit) and then resold.

3) Retail version is what you buy from a retailer like Amazon or Bestbuy. Its a full price version that comes packaged in a retail box with a retail product key. It has to be activated online via MS servers using the key on the box, it is not tied to the PC it was first installed on, though it can only be used on a single computer at a time. And, MS directly provides the support for it. It is also more expensive than OEM copies.

As far as functionality is concerned, theres no difference between any of the versions above, given any specific edition (i.e. between OEM pro and retail pro, o... Read more

Hi, I'm doing an assesment in my multimedia class on operating systems and I was wondering if anybody could tell me the differences and features between some on the Windows operating systems.

Thanks in advance, Donald.

Answer:Differences with Windows operating systems.

Hi Donald,

While there are differences, the best way for you to learn since this is an assignment for Donald, would be for you to Google the different OS features and then notate what the differences are. We are careful on this site about not doing the homework for someone if it is a class assignment. You do learn when YOU do the research, so you need to do that for yourself. Good luck on your search.

I can't seem to find an answer to a basic question - what's the difference between Windows, MSN, Yahoo and all the other flavours of Messenger?I have Windows Messenger, but downloaded (and use) MSN Messenger before I realised I already had Windows Messenger which I presume came with XP.Are the variants incompatible? Why choose any one over another? Is it a bad idea to have more than one on a PC? Will .NET passports work across them all, or are they separate domains? Thanks

Answer:Windows, MSN or Yahoo Messenger - differences?

BarneyCGL,From what i can gather, Windows Messenger is more to do with communicating over networks. If you have XP Service Pack 2 installed then Windows Messenger is disabled by default. .Net passports only work with Microsoft stuff. You cannot cross platform chat e.g if you've got MSN Messenger and a friend has got Yahoo Messenger you cannot chat together. You both need the same chat client.I used to use ICQ and MSN Messenger on my old Win ME comp.Hope this all makes sense.Cheers, Chris.

Thanks,

As far is i know the IE thing is the only difference.

Windows 7 E is Windows 7 without Internet Explorer 8 — or any other browser — preinstalled. The company is intending to release Windows 7 E in Europe in the hopes of potentially heading off the worst of the remedies expected to be imposed by European Commission authorities who have yet to issue their final rulings in the Opera browser-bundling antitrust case against Microsoft.

And you are not able to update from vista as far as i know. You have to make a clean install.

Not sure if this is where i should post it. But here is my dilema

I have a sbs small business server with exchange, i set all that up but i then got a treo 700w that says it can hook into my outlook web access. I have worked on it for two days straight and now am hung up i think on the last spot.

First. My icw.exe is not found, i want to install a self issued certificate so i don't have to buy one. but i think my domain is called watson.local instead of my domain name i have dns to my ip. When i installed a trial certificate from verisign it said my certificate was invalid. I know i have to transfer the certificate to the smartphone but should i have my domain instead of the defaul.local setup as my actual web dns domain name?

Has anyone dealt with this? i will pay money for help..

I have a desktop and laptop, both running Windows 8, the laptop running Pro. There are differences in the choices for printing sizes and appearance of the image when using each Photo Printing Wizard that I do not remember being a problem previously:
1. Paper size: clicking 'More...' gives me a total of seven different sizes on the desktop, whereas there are more than 50 options on the laptop
2. Image appearance: the image for printing does not fill the rectangle on the desktop, even when I have chosen 10x15cm and the proportions are correct, as can be seen in the attachment. This could be because I do not have the choice of Borderless 10x15cm, perhaps.
I use Paint.NET typically, but the situation is the same in Photo Viewer.

Answer:Windows Photo Printing Wizard differences

Photo Printing Wizard went away with XP. Since you are talking about some website that you are using online. Their FAQ's and forum would be the best help you can get.

With the HP Photosmart printers, the software you have to install, would be best. Otherwise use Gimp to size the photos for the paper.

Hello,
Several RS232 devices are having difficulties functioning on Windows 7. They worked fine on XP.
On XP they used the serenum.sys and serial.sys files as a driver. But, on Windows 7 they use the same files, but these files are 6.0. And not 5.0 anymore.
Even when I adjust the baudrate settings, etc., the devices still don't work. Could it be that these devices are too old to be used on Windows 7? Is there a way to verify this?
Dispite the difference in version number of the two files, is there a way to bypass this? And how can I check if my COM1 port is alive?
Thanks in advance.
Yours sincerely,

Hello again, and many thanks in advance to anyone willing to take the time to help me understand the difference(s) between various Windows XP Professional licenses. Simply: I want to purchase a legal CD copy of Windows XP Pro--not a secondary manufacturer's bloatware version, just XP Pro--that I can install on my present computer YET also install on the new computer I hope to purchase in the not-so-distant future (and also on any other future computer I have, if it comes to that), non-simultaneously of course. After using Google and searching this site, I find myself quite confused as to the differences between a 'retail' version of XP Pro and an 'OEM' version of XP Pro; and further, the differences between a 'full' OEM version and a secondary manufacturer's OEM version. Basically, I want the least expensive version of unadulterated Windows XP Professional that I can legally use--one computer at a time--on as many computers as I happen to own from now until XP Pro is no longer useful to me. Also, this version must be installable on both a computer that does and does not come with an operating system already installed. Again, thanks very much to anyone who can guide me to a better understanding of this topic.

Answer:Differences Between A 'Retail' And An 'OEM' Version Of Windows XP Professional

Louie, you will need to purchase a Retail version of XP Pro to achieve your purpose of re-using the OS on subsequent new computers. A retail Windows is licensed to be used on any computer you own, as long as it is only installed on a single computer at any time. There isn't a limit to the number of times it can be activated, as long as you can assure Microsoft on each occasion that the previous installation has been removed from the computer it was installed on.

An OEM Windows is licensed to be used only on the computer it is initially installed onto, it cannot legitimately be transferred to a second computer.

I expect the difference you are referring to between a "Full" OEM version and a manufacturers version, is that the former is produced and marketed directly through the OEM wholesale chain by Microsoft. The only difference between these and retail Windows is the license.

A Windows installation disc from a computer manufacturer is created by the manufacturer themselves under a volume license, and is often tailored specifically to the brand. It may not be possible to install from such a disc onto another brand or even a different model of the same brand, and the Windows installation may be pre-loaded with drivers or utilities specific to the brand and/or model of system it was designed for.

What are the differences between the OEM version of Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005? I'm probably going to buy one of these two operating systems for my new computer and am currently leaning towards the latter though I want to make sure that it's worth the extra $20.

Also, are there any differences between these two versions of MCE 2005 listed on Newegg?

I am going to install Server 2003 Standard Edition that I was able to get from the Microsoft DreamSpark program. I went to Windows site to see what the Standard Edition has, and I see two Standard Editions. One is called Standard Edition SP2 and one is called Standard Edition R2. What is the difference between SP2 and R2? I figured im eligible for SP2 since that is just a service pack that show up on Windows Update when I update for the first time. What is R2 then? Is it a free upgrade?

Answer:Windows Server 2003 version differences

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Server_2003

Check here, scroll down a little for info on R2. It's just the updated version released in 2005.

MS is trying to put out a new server OS every 4 years, with a refresh release of that OS 2 years after original release. Tick, tock and all that. R2 is the refresh of 2003.

Two not to, sorry about that.

I have two ASUS Computers.

G73SW from Win7pro to Win10 Win10 program 1size 18.7gb 92,424 files. Old Win 27.2gb 117.322 files.

G73JH from Win 8.1 to Win10 program size 16.9gb 104.641 files. Old Win 16.466gb 138.595 files.

Why the size differences in both program sizes and files? Any reason not to delete the old Windows files?

Answer:Why to size differences in Windows 10 files? Also a question removing.

Windows.old is needed if you want to roll back (Go back) to the previous OS in the 30 days after the upgrade. If you don't plan to do that or made an image backup before the upgrade then delete it.

I use CCleaner to do it but Disk Cleanup can also get rid of it.

What would I not be able to do using Windows 7 Starter that I could do using Windows 7 Home?

Answer:Windows 7 Home & Windows 7 Starter Differences?

Two things: change the desktop and watch DVDs.

Windows 7 Starter is a significantly stripped-down version of Windows 7. Here's some of what it's missing, courtesy of a Microsoft blog posting:
* Aero Glass, meaning you can only use the "Windows Basic" or other opaque themes. It also means you do not get Taskbar Previews or Aero Peek.
* Personalization features for changing desktop backgrounds, window colors, or sound schemes.
* The ability to switch between users without having to log off.
* Multi-monitor support.
* DVD playback.
* Windows Media Center for watching recorded TV or other media.
* Remote Media Streaming for streaming your music, videos, and recorded TV from your home computer.
* Domain support for business customers.
* XP Mode for those that want the ability to run older Windows XP programs on Windows 7.

One feature that will be most missed is the ability to change your desktop look. Don't like the background you get? Sorry, Charlie; you have to live with. Note that you also can't watch DVDs.Click to expand...

Pro ? Windows 8.1 Pro is the operating system intended for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides abilities such as joining corporate domains, participating in Group Policy, allowing involvement in Work Place Join and Work Folders, encryption and more. You can find a good list of business features in the The IT Guide to Windows 8.1. Note that some of the new business features in Windows 8.1 Pro require a server running Windows Server 2012 R2 somewhere in the organization.

Enterprise ? Windows 8.1 Enterprise is the version that brings business premium features to Windows. Available through Windows Software Assurance, Windows 8.1 Enterprise includes all of the same features of Windows 8.1 Pro and then adds things like Windows To Go, DirectAccess, BranchCache, AppLocker, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Windows 8 app deployment.

Answer:Differences between Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 8.1 Enterprise

Windows 8.1 Enterprise works great on the same hardware that powers Windows 8:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
Additional requirements to use certain features:

For 64-bit installations of Windows 8.1 Enterprise, your CPU must also support CompareExchange16b, PrefetchW and LAHF/SAHF.
To use touch, you need a tablet or a monitor that supports multitouch.
To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, and a Microsoft account.
To snap apps, you need a screen resolution of at least 1366 x 768.
Internet access (ISP fees might apply)
Some features such as touch and Client Hyper-V may require advanced or Windows 8 certified hardware.

That is not what Microsoft's announcement yesterday tells me. My phone is one of the 8.1 phones that is eligible for an upgrade. Do I need a Denim update from T-Mobile first?

Answer:Upgrade Advisor onT-Mobile Lumia 640 LTE allow me to upgrade to Windows 10 mobile.

In order for it to be upgraded, T-Mobile has to approve it first. Right now, T-Mobile holds the ball in their hands. They would also have to test it as well, so there's a waiting period ahead.

I have a problem with Build 10512 on my Lumia 930. I switched to this bulid last weekend and did a reset by going to setting --> system --> about. Afterwards I didn't restore any data and started from scratch. Installed some apps and deleted some as well. Two days ago I got the message from my carrier, that I just used all my mobile data for this month. Due to the fact, that I was using WIFI during most of the time when I was using the phone I was very suppriesed. So I went to data sense and noticed that there was an entry "unistalled app" which had a high data usage. As I was looking at data sense during the day I just noticed, that the amount of data was growing.
Because I didn't know which apps this could be I did another reseted yesterday by doing the same steps mentioned above. This time I started from scratch again but didn't deleted any app. However today I again find the entry "uninstalled app" in data sense, which again is still unsing data (about 100 MB during the day, no WIFI). Has anybody an idea what this is and how I can stop this?

Answer:I uninstalled app mobile data usage Mobile Preview Build 10512 Lumia 930

I just noticed that too in my Data-sense. It has only used 116 Mb in about a week though, so I'm not too concerned about it yet.
Time to add some feedback :)

Can someone confirm whether the Sierra Wireless HSDPA Network Adaptor is supplied locked or unlocked on the X60s? Just bought an X60s and was told the internal SIM slot is unlocked and would take any SIM card but for some reason it's taken an unhealthy dislike to my T-Mobile SIMs. When I load the ThinkVantage Access Communications Wireless Connection Staus window and click on the Mobile Broadbad tab, at the top above the Connection Status box I get the message "SIM card is locked...." When I load ThinkVantage Access Communications and press the Mobile Broadband button, I get the following message "The installed SIM card is not authorised for use with integrated Mobile Broadband adaptor in your computer." This latter message seems to suggest that Sierra Wireless HSDPA Network Adaptor is locked.

Answer:X60s - Is the built-in 3G mobile Mobile Broadband adaptor locked?

Is a usb mobile modem much faster than a mobile phone on the net? I can connect my mobile phone to my laptop to access the net, but i am thinking of purchasing a mobile modem instead as my phone is only 200mb per month maximum, which is pretty poor. This is on o2. I know other companies have better deals but i do not want to switch networks. I do not want to use a home phoneline for the internet so i thought a mobile modem would be a better option. How does it compare to net access via a mobile phone? Thanks for any info

Answer:Is a usb mobile modem much faster than a mobile phone on the net?

You probably get about 1.1Mbit/sec out of it, nowhere near the reported speeds of 3.6Mbit/sec as I don't think the service has started yet. They are expensive to buy and run however very portable. If you are only using from home then BB on cable or phone line is much cheaper.

People with knowledge of the matter have hinted that Windows 10 Mobile could launch as soon as today, and now there?s more evidence that this is indeed very likely to happen.

The latest confirmation comes from T-Mobile Croatia, one of the carriers that are gearing up for the release of Windows 10 Mobile. It thus confirms that Microsoft is indeed very close to giving the go-ahead to the operating system for a number of devices.

This is actually the most important bit of information, as not all Windows Phone models would get Windows 10 Mobile as part of the original wave. The plan is to bring the new OS on absolutely all handsets running Windows Phone, but for the moment, the staged rollout will include only a handful of models.

Models getting the upgrade in the first wave
T-Mobile Croatia says the following models will be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile in the original rollout that kicks off today:

Lumia 435 single- and dual-SIM
Lumia 535 single- and dual-SIM
Lumia 635 1GB
Lumia 640
Lumia 640XL
Lumia 735
Lumia 830
Lumia 930
Lumia 1520

Microsoft has also provided its very own list of devices that?ll be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile as part of this first wave, and the big difference is that Lumia 1520 is included in T-Mobile?s version whereas the flagship is nowhere to be found in Microsoft?s.

The super-popular Lumia 520 doesn?t seem to be mentioned in either of the lists, so it?s pretty clear that this model will be left behind at first. A second wave, however, ... Read more

By Boris Groendahl
BONN (Reuters) - Deutsche Telekom's mobile arm T-Mobile will use Web search leader Google as the starting point for surfing the Internet on its mobile phones to promote Internet usage, T-Mobile said on Wednesday.

T-Mobile, Europe's second-largest mobile operator, is moving to provide full Internet access on its phones, abandoning the unpopular "walled garden" concept in which operators give access to their own choice of Web sites.

"With the Google homepage we want tell our customers from the first moment that they are carrying with them the Internet they know from home," said T-Mobile board member Ulli Gritzuhn at a news conference in T-Mobile's Bonn headquarters.

Mobile operators have failed for years to convince subscribers to use their phones for more than calls and text messages. As voice call prices fall, they need to compensate with revenues from Internet usage and other services.

But the vast majority of customers shun mobile Internet services such as T-Mobile's "t-zones" or market leader Vodafone's "Live!." Those who use them do so rarely, and customer surveys show they do not see much use in them.

"Too expensive, too complicated, too little use -- that's our clients' judgment about our current data services," said T-Mobile's Gritzuhn.

T-Mobile expects that mimicking more closely the Internet as people know it from their home or office computers will encourage them to use it... Read more

Thank You

Hi , I have posted lots of time on this , but no one noticed , even put in user voice.. Why we cant edit SMS validity on Lumia like other phones ? Why microsoft sleeping ignoring basic feature? on Symbian I had option to edit it even on 10 years old Symbian phone nokia 6600..
what I mean is suppose I sent SMS to my friend at 9 pm today IST , but his phone will b off for past 24 hours, next day at 9 pm today IST I will get notification ( delivery to receipt failed). on symbian we could edit it & set from 1 hour to maximum time.., in-between option were 3 day , 15 days , 20 days to maximum time ... I hv written feature suggest in user voice etc as well

Answer:Is windows phone / windows 10 mobile sent #SMS validity still only v 24 hours? We could edit on Sy

I haven't seen you post this before in the forums, but if you have and we ignored it, then we're sorry :)
Even if you have posted this over at uservoice, you need a certain amount of votes, before MS will consider working/adding the feature.
A possible solution could involve math :p if you know that your friend's phone will be off for 24 hours then send the text while there are only 22 hours remaining of those 24 :p

I have an HP rp5700 system which is connected to a Windows Mobile (6.1) device. If the mobile device is plugged in and turned on, the computer will hang on the HP Event bootup options screen. None of the options will be displayed at the bottom. If I then either a) unplug the device b) undock the device or c) turn off the device, the boot options will appear, and Windows will then boot up without an issue.

I tried changing the boot order, but to no avail. I've also tried unplugging the device, going into BIOS, and plugging the device back in - the BIOS screen gets really, really sluggish until I unplug/undock/switch off the device.

The BIOS is up to date. This doesn't happen with Windows XP Pro, only Windows 7 (Professional, 32-bit). One suggestion I heard was that Windows 7 has issues with connected devices it thinks are USB flash drives (although the device in question isn't in USB mode at the time). I have no other USB devices connected, as the mouse and keyboard are both PS2.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? Did you find a solution?

Answer:Windows 7 won't boot with Windows Mobile device plugged in/turned on

Solution: get A 64x copy, or Easyer don't connect ur phone when using the pc
