Preferred Solution: Receive Gmail account emails from inoperative cell phone to my outlook.com emails instead, why?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Receive Gmail account emails from inoperative cell phone to my outlook.com emails instead, why?

Answer:Can send emails on outlook windows phone, but can not receive?

Welcome to Windows Central.
If your question was "Can I not receive emails in Windows Phone?", then the answer is "No, you should be able to receive outlook emails from your Windows Phone" - in all of the Windows Phones that I've owned (L610, HTC 8s, L1020, L535), I could send and receive outlook emails with no issues.
If your question was "Why can I not receive outlook emails in my Windows Phone?", then we may need more details. Make sure that your email+accounts settings are correct, especially the schedule for downloading mail - you may want to set it to download "As items arrive" so you would receive emails in your phone immediately.
You may want to create a Windows Central account to be able to respond to this thread.

My Sent Items and Inbox folders became filled with emails on Tuesday and I was unable to send or receive emails until I removed several thousand old emails from both folders (which I did, then the system was running fine again as of late Tuesday). I discovered this problem when I attempted to send 3 emails with attachments, making the emails around 5 megabytes each in size (I did not realize that the recipient's system could not handle any email more than 2 megabytes - thus, my Outlook Express kept trying to send these emails every 1 minute for 3 hours until I discovered the problem). I had to delete around 100 email notifications that the recipient could not receive emails at that size and that my email boxes were full.

I corrected these problems and relocated the emails from my Outlook Box to Drafts (until the recipient can change his settings).

All day Wednesday (yesterday) I was able to send & receive emails without a problem. This morning I was sending & recieving as well, then all of a sudden, I was unable to receive any emails. When Outlook attempts to receive, I briefly see a box with the number of emails attempting to be received, then I get an Unknown Error message. I am able to send emails without any problem and my Internet connection has been stable all day.

I've rebooted, turned on & off Outlook. I even disconnected my Internet connection, then reconnected it. I've checked my Outlook settings and they are fine. I also turned off my ... Read more

Answer:Outlook Express Won't Receive Emails - but Sends Emails with good Internet Connection

Hi rherrygers

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums!

Have you attempted to logon to your ISP's mail server to see what messages are still on the mail server along with determining the size of the messages?
Outlook Express may be timing out trying to download a message that is larger than normal.
Did you also send yourself a copy of the message with the attachment?

Can you post the exact error message please?
If the Send/Receive window is not appearing, you can make it appear by double clicking the area marked in red here:
When the Send/Receive window appears, click the Errors tab, right click on the error message and select Copy and paste the error message here.

OK...Running Vista Home Basic on my Dell PC...5 days ago at 9:23pm I received my last email in Outlook (2007). Computer was idle at work. No problems for 4 years until now. 2 weeks ago went with a new ISP and did not change the codes for SMTP/Pop3/Imap because it was all working the exact same way--frankly, didn't think about it. Come in and there are no new emails. Hit Send/Receive and nothing happens. NO WAY, I get 50 a day. Go to Gmail account and it stopped at the same time. Find all new messages in Trash folder then all filters were removed to see what happened next. Emails were visible on screen (inbox) after that-and still are. After that, gmail icon started showing bottom right of my screen with my incoming emails--FROM 2009/10/11! All I had deleted last year and I am sure I emtied. My Outlook number of items in Inbox continues to grow every time I hit Send/Receive, lines "bounce" on screen as if items are going to appear but they don't. I get the outlook envelope showing emails from January to March 2012 downloading along with New Items in Mailbox icon as of today. I can hit on the email as it (icon) pops up and read it but if it passes it is totally GONE! Since gmail was fixed, about 7000 emails have gone into my inbox but not one of them are visible. I feel it will continue to download until we get to the present date as it is downloading from past to present. I have since entered the new ISP information, got the Congratulations on my test email... Read more

Answer:2007 Outlook/Gmail Account --Where are my emails going??

Any chance your old ISP was Rogers?

I thought that when you use POP , your email address is hosted and stored by the ISP.
Meaning, say your ISP was called Teleweb, your email address would have been [email protected].

I'm confused as to why you did not need to change the POP settings if you changed ISPs.

Im thinking your old ISP cancelled or disabled your email account, which may be contributing to the problem.

Also Gmail is webmail, so ISPs cannot influence how Gmail behaves. Were you forwarding your mail to the gmail account?

I have a Windows 10 phone. I use the Outlook Mail app that comes with the phone. My current email is a Gmail. When I loaded my phone I used my Microsoft account, which is also linked to my gmail account. In outlook, I made sure to ADD my GMAIL account and use the snych settings for email, calendar and contacts.
Calendar is great, contacts are great. When I check my emails, the emails come in just fine.
When I delete an email in the outlook app on my phone. The email is still in my GMAIL. I have tried to look up different things I can do but I can only find responses that do not work.
I would really like to use the Outlook app for my phone, but sometimes I do check my email on a computer. I would like those 2 to work with each other. Not by themselves.

Ughh...

I have a client who has Outlook 2000 installed on their server (MS Server Standard). I'm in the process of adding email automation to an Access database using Outlook. While setting up Outlook (it had never been configured before), I used account settings for a Cox account. While testing, I discovered that I would not be able to use that account (failed to logon to the smtp server- the client doesn't have an account so it access denied to the mail server). From there, I deleted the Cox email account settings and added a gmail account instead. All settings have been configured- pop and smtp servers, authentication, etc., however when I attempt to send/receive, Outlook continues to use the Cox server settings??!?

Again, the Cox server settings do not exist in the current email account I have set up. I've tried to add and delete the gmail account several times, along with trying to reset Outlook to a first run setting, but alas, nothing has worked. Any ideas, or does Outlook use an ini file somewhere that may contain the old account settings? (I've looked at the account file under users, but those settings- for gmail- are correct.

Thanks for any suggestions

The question really says all about what I want to do, or need help on. I recently signed up for a new outlook account to try out the new outlook preview and I've set up gmail to automatically forward new messages to my outlook account so that I can use outlook to manage my gmail account.

Do any of you know how I would be able to forward the old messages, and not the new ones, to my outlook? I already know that they can be fetched into outlook by outlook's very own service, forwarding would be faster, so..?! Also, since I now use outlook to send email on behalf of my gmail account, how do I make it sync each email I send using outlook with my gmail - so that gmail has it all?

TY in advance. Please do help.

You have to go to email+accounts and then tap the email to try to make it update. If you have an error, that is the reason why.

Hi,Just recently the emails that were going into my WLM account are being redirected
into my gmail account.
I sent a test btinternet.com email from WLM which goes into my sent folder but not my inbox.
Is there a way to set it up so that gmail goes to gmail account and my btinternet.com emails
go into my WLM account.
Thanks for any help.
OS is Wndows 7 64bit

Answer:WLM emails going into my gmail account.

Hello Tommy,

What do you mean by "WLM account" ?
Is this an @hotmail.com, or @outlook.com, or ISP (btinternet), or ... account?
WLM (Windows Live Mail) is a Client (installed on PC) email program and can have many email accounts.
Do you have multiple accounts setup in WLM?
Every email provider I know of also has a WEB site where the user can read/send/manage email.
Are you using WLM for some email, and WEB email for other email?
Each email provider may offer different protocols such as IMAP, POP, MAPI and that can make a difference in what folders are used for a client program such as WLM.

Then there's a "Windows Live account" if that's what you're talking about, and Skype can affect things from what I've read...

Below is a screen print from WLM 2012 showing my "WLM accounts".
I have 2 hotmail accounts here - 1 is MAPI, and 1 is POP...plus a gmail and outlook account...
I mainly use Office Outlook for all my email, but I do use WLM on "test" systems for email that I know I don't need to keep ...

As you said it's a "recent change", can you restore to a point before the problem started?
Do you know what changed to start the problem - Patch Tuesday updates perhaps?

Hi,

I have a gmail account that has received emails from paypal, which contain customer email addresses. Since I can't access emails past a month in paypal, it would be ideal if I could get every email address in an email sent by paypal to me and then copy it to a text file. I'd like to use the list for mass mailing product reminders, etc. Before I spend the time to write a script, has anyone heard of software that will do that? Thanks for your help!

If that sounded confusing, I need a script that will search through a specified set of emails, extract every address in those emails, and then copy them to a txt file.

Answer:How can I extract all emails from a Gmail account?

Sorry but this cant be done. At least not by hacing the script go online and search GMail. Now if you use something like Thunderbird, Outlook or Windows Live Mail that stores the mail locally, then you might be able to do something. But AFAIK nothing like this exists.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to view this post, i just hope someone can help.

I have recently had to reinstall my Op system (WinXP) and i have now noticed that i cant send emails via Thunderbird , but i can still receive

I think i have setup Thunderbird correctly, i followed the instructions found on the Yahoo, Options, Pop3 Forwarding config webpage. Whenever i try to send a email i get the following error message from Thunderbird

Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to the SMTP server smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again.

It looks like to me that the SMTP setting is incorrect but i've triple checked it. A friend of mine is also having the same problem on the same setup as me so it leads me to believe that its something to so with yahoo.co.uk mail accounts.

Any advice will be much appreciated - please let me know if you need any other details.

Around two months ago one of our clients mysteriously started being unable to receive emails from around 4 users they could still receive emails from everyone else , so we thought it was a mail server problem.
So we moved the emails to a new server and there still having the same issues. We have tried sending emails through AOL,Hotmail,Yahoo, O2 and our own email and they all go through fine , but these for compines which just happen to be there major clients keep getting this error-

Does Sky require server authentication for receiving emails? Some ISPs do. Try checking the box for this on the email account settings in OE where you have entered your email account and password.

For a couple of weeks now, I haven't been able to receive new emails. The two last emails I got keep repeating themselves. I've checked with the person who sent them, and it seems that they don't have any viruses - others who received them don't have this problem. When I connect to outlook express, I get the message..'a timeout occurred.....error no. 0x800CCC19. There seems to be a growing backlog of emails that can't get through, apparently being blocked by these two emails that keep coming back. Connection to our ISP (Wanadoo) is fine when we start a Send/Receive. However, for some time now we have to 'resend' our password when we start the receive part. Having done this, if we go surfing and then do another send/receive we do not have to enter passwords again. Just before we went on holiday (of course!) we suddenly found that we couldn't receive e-mails any more. The pop-up box came up, we entered our password, but the box reappeared still asking for the password to be entered. Interestingly enough there is also a 'remember my password' check box which is greyed out when we start (because no password has been entered). When we enter the password this box remains greyed out (as though O.E. thinks that we haven't entered anything). This repeats itself until you give up and cancel the operation. We then get the message that an invalid user name or password hs been used. This is logical if a blank or null password has been sent to Wanadoo. We can get at our mail on the server directly through Web-mail. Wanadoo made a number of sugestions but neither worked unfortunately. There are now only a couple of small e-mails on our 'server inbox' so it can't be that a large e-mail is trying to get to us. We are up-to-date as at mid-July with Windows Home XP SP2 plus all its updates and have not installed anything immediately prior to this problem occurring. Any suggestions? Thanks.

HiMy emails are through pop.freeserve but for the last five days I have been getting various error messages as follows:-There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.freeserve.co.uk', Server: 'pop.freeserve.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Invalid login/password pair', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92The host 'pop.freeserve.co.uk' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'Mail', Server: 'pop.freeserve.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0DI have tried everything from reinstalling to restore points. I've followed about every thread there is on OE6 problems to no avail. My internet connection is TalkTalk with my emails coming from pop.freeserve.I've ran all the spam/virus software you care to name but still getting error message.I see others have had problems with Orange and someone said that Orange had deleted .freeserve.co.uk accounts. Surely not.Can anyone offer a crumb of comfort as I'm at my wits end. My own view is that it is not an OE problem but an Orange/Freeserve one.Look forward to hearing from anyone. Many Thanks,John.

Answer:Outlook Express-Can't receive emails

if orange and freeserve are different isp's it is possible that the newer isp will block other isp mails. i reckon you need to set up via talk talk.johnny.

I have a 6 month old Dell Computer - XP Home - 300 GB (half still available) - 2 MB RAM - Everything else is currently behaving itself except MS Outlook.I have MS Office - 2002, with the latest Windows update. I have PCcillin Virus and Firewall; CCleaner & VP16 registry cleaner. Have done defrag. MS Outlook was working fine, then one day it quit sending and receiving emails. I can still open/close existing emails. MY ISP techs are really good (in my opinion) and they say it isn't anything connected to my modem or router, etc. I have fiber optic service (love it). I have uninstalled MS Office, then ran both CCleaner and JV16 to clean the registry, etc., then reinstalled MS Office with the hope that that would work. Nothing was changed. So, I started using Outlook Express. I really want the MS Outlook to work, though. I now have thousands of emails in each program. 1) What might be wrong with MS Outlook?2) Is there a way to combine the emails from both softwares?Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys,

I have been using Outlook 2003 for quite some time now. I use POP email accounts - no exchange server etc. I have Archived the account that I have been unable to receive emails to, and exported the .PST to the default backup file. I have even used the Compact feature in the Options menu. This works for a day or so then the same problem persists.

I can receive emails via webmail so I know the problem in client side.

Have you any suggestions on how I can get this working properly again within Outlook?

Can't wait to hear about new things to try to resolve the issue.

Thanks

Answer:Gmail account sending out spam emails to contacts

If you've changed your password and no further e-mails get sent out then you should be fine.

In Outlook 2003, I can't send or receive emails. I keep getting error message 0x8004210b - re operation timed out waiting for a response from the recieving (POP) server. I have contacted my ISP who has checked out my email settings (which by the way work on my laptop). The ISP technician suggested I reinstall MS Outlook which I have done. Microsoft suggests that I might have a clash with my email anti-virus program (which is Trend Micro P-Cillin Internet security 2007). Outlook runs and opens, the calendar updates but the emails just stopped sending and receiving at the end of April. In desperation I set up an account in Outlook Express with the same settings and it worked. I am connected to the internet via an adsl router modem. There are two other computers on the router all receiving and sending emails. I still think its a block somewhere from P-Cillin but can't prove it. My subscription is ending in the next few weeks for P-Cillin internet security so I thought I might not renew and take it off the computer. But remembering the problem I had with removing Nortons on another computer last year I also would like advice before I try to remove P-Cillin Internet Security. Any suggestions to get the emails going again would be welcome or help in removal of P-Cillin.

When I send/receive emails on outlook express, outlook does not send/receive emails from all accounts.

I ve got 43 or so accounts/various email addresses for business, (one for each service I provide).

Outlook does not send/receive/check 3 or 5 accounts located at the bottom of the account list.

And I could only send/receive/check these 3 or 5 accounts individually

All accounts are checked for "include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing".

All accounts are properly set.

Is there a limit of a number of accounts in outlook?

or how to fix that?

32 accounts in outlook is the limit

v999 said:

There is a way around this problem:

Create another user account on your PC. Use Control Panel (User Accounts) for that.
Leave 32 email accounts at the existing Outlook and transfer the rest to the new Outlook created for the new user.
Set up Outlook for the second user. And import/export all those email accounts/details/info to this new Outlook
Use Start/Logg Off/Switch User to quickly navigate between Users and to send/receive emails from all Outlook accounts
You can create more User Accounts and more Outlook accounts and send/receive emails from a huge number of email addresses via multiple user accounts

I have 3 computers in my home office. 2 of them are running Vista with Outlook 2007. The other one is running XP with Outlook 2003. Everything was working fine on all the computers until a week ago. Without any changes, the 2 computers running Outlook 2007 would not send e-mails.

We are using godaddy for our incoming e-mails and comcast for our outgoing e-mails. All the settings are the same on all 3 computers (servers, ports, etc.) The computer using Outlook 2003 can receive and send e-mails. The 2 computers using Outlook 2007 are not sending emails correctly. When you send an email on these 2 computers, the e-mail will go into the sent folder (The e-mail is not getting hung up in the outbox). That is what is really driving me crazy. I am getting no error messages. One of the things that is really intriguing is that when someone e-mails, you can reply and the reply will reach the receipient about 1/2 the time. It basically depends who the e-mail is sent from.

The computer that is using Outlook 2003 works perfectly fine. Same exact settings as the computers using Outlook 2007. I have tried to call godaddy, Comcast and everybody always blames the other. I'm beginning to think it is a problem with Outlook 2007. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am running Outlook 2003 under Windows XP and use it for Pop3 emails from my web mail service which is BT Internet (i.e. Yahoo). There are three email accounts (one primary and two subsidiary) accessed in this way.

For the last week or so I have had a problem where emails on one or more of the accounts fail to download but mostly at least one account is still working. What seems to happen is that there is a problem with a particular email which causes the download to hang. You can see the counter go to that email and a specific number of KB and then stop. If you repeat the send/receive, it stops at exactly the same point. Eventually it fails with a timeout error. EG:

Task 'Duncan Grant (Home) - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
This is what I have tried to solve the problem so far (in addition to several hours on the phone to the ISP).

Identify the specific email and remove it from the webmail inbox. This has solved the specific instance of the problem but it recurs when another email causes the same issue. There does not seem to be any reason why the email concerned should cause a problem (e.g. one of many from a colleague, just text, no attachments, not spam).

Hi everyone, I don't know why this problem started as my emails have been fine before. Now I keep getting an error message everytime I try to receive emails, I can send. Spent over an hour reading the help section and trying every setting in tools > options

Simple problem really. I just want Outlook XP to automatically send/receive emails when I start it up and periodically afterwards. It used to work fine before for over a year. But now, all of a sudden, it doesn't work and I have to click send/receive button manually each time.

I have been to tools > options > mail setup and clicked 'send immediately when connected', but doesn't have any effect.

Thanks in advance for any possible advice you may be able to offer.

Answer:Outlook XP - does not send/receive emails automatically...

if it is anything like outlook express, then go tools, options...then under send/recieve messages (which is in the main tab) select "check for new messages every...mins" and set that to 1 min...so that it will send and receive every 1 min.

I imported my outlook pst file and everything works except that it will not send emails. I get errors that it cannot connect to the comcast server. I have changed the passwords and ports about 50 times with no success. I now have two identical laptops with identical email account set ups. The old one still works but the new one does not. I think it may have to do with the registry but I dont know how to fix it. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you in advance.

Hi Rex.See this article on how to backup, import, export all your OE stuff. It's been a while since I've used OE but on the Advanced tab of your mail account settings will be an option to leave messages on server. If you want both systems to recieve the same messages you must enable this option or otherwise the first one to get the message will be the only one that gets it. It will no longer be there for the second one to download.

Had an issue where outlook would receive emails but not send. It was Outlook 2010 on Windows 7.

The issue was that my broadband internet and email account was with one ISP, but I was temporarily using a wireless broadband USB from another ISP to connect to the internet. I am from Australia and my broadband account is with Optus, so therefore I have an Optus email account, but I was temporarily connecting with a Telstra wireless broadband USB which caused the problem.

Turns out that I needed to activate SMTP Authentication to fix this issue. This option is usually in the outgoing mail settings. The reason you have to do this is that the ISPs have to authenticate you before you can send via their servers when you are accessing the internet via a different ISP.

I have since learned that this problem can occur anytime you are away from your usual internet connection. If you are with Optus or any particular ISP you will have issues sending from Outlook if you connect via another ISP without selecting the option for SMTP Authentication.

Was such a simple fix, but took me so long to find so wanted to post the solution in case anyone has the same frustrating issue.

it is most likely a configuration problem. look to see if the ingoing and outgoing server is the same, eg, pop.online.no and smtp.online.no. server means the name of your internet provider. aol, ntlworl, tiscali etc. incoming port 110, out port 25.
make sure that you have not inserted a space or a comma in error within the names of server

Hi there,I am unable to receive emails in Outlook 2010.I can see the emails in Horde Webmail which is provided by my web hosting provider, but those emails are not downloaded in my Outlook.I am able to send the emails successfully, but not able to receive.I have already tried the following:- Checked all the settings and made sure that they are correct.- Deleted the email account and created it once again.- I have run 'outlook /resetviews'.- Checked firewall and antivirus, tried disabling them.- Created a new test account on my domain to check if it happens on other accountsEven after all the above tries, the emails are not being received. I have been driven mad for the last 1-2 weeks. Been looking for so many solutions but can't really find anything definitive out there. The one thing I did find I got stuck and could not find any additional help on it.

Anyway's, I have Vista Home Premium x64 and I was trying to hook up my Gmail account to Outlook 2007. It can neither send or recieve it goes to like 66% then gets the following error message:

I tried re-installs as what was recommended, deleting the account, checking the firewalls, even turned the whole thing off to check but same problem. I have checked the settings time and time again and they are correct:

pop.gmail.com:995
smtp.gmail.com:587

I have tried the Safe (Networking Mode) and it works but I need it to work in Normal mode. I know many recommendations say debugging etc.. but wondering if there are any updates etc.. that I need to add or remove to make it work in normal mode?

Oh, I have turned on the TELNET client and tried to telnet pop.gmail.com but kept getting the following error:

I have a works laptop (Xp) that I accessed the company server down the telephone line. I decided to go wire free at home and got a D-link wireless router. I have two computers at home that are working fine.

The laptop is now fitted with a D-link card, it connects fine, full signal. Internet fine.

Emails out slow but fine, but no emails in.

The company uses SonicWall Global VPN Client.

I have the Firewall on, on the router.

Initially, I used the preinstalled Intel PRO/Wireless LAN on the laptop and everything worked fine for about 20 mins but then i shut down and when I rebooted the laptop no joy email or internet, but signal fine. To cut a long story short it was decided to change to a D-Link Airplus XtremeG + G650 and that sorted the internet connection and after a bit of tinkering by my support desk we got the email going out but not in.

Any suggestions as to what stopping emails in, I assume not the router Firewall because at the begining I got some. Everybody stumped at this end.

I have not put in Service pack 2 though I know its better with some wireless stuff, but my support says no!

Barry - UK

Answer:Gone wireless and Outlook won't receive emails from company server?

This is a long shot but may work. Document whatever setting s you had to configure for the firewall if you made any changes. Then reset the configuration to default. Its best to disable the connection while doing this.
Turn off the PC. Turn Off the router for about 30 secs. Turn the router back on. Boot up your PC. Re-enable the connection. Reconfigure the router and then test it by sending yourself email or having someone else send you mail.

hope that helps

I had Cumulative Update KB3200970 for version 1607 install the other day and I have since not been able to receive any emails via Outlook. I was able to prior to this update, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and Outlook seemed to be working. No other settings have been changed so this should not have happened.

Today, I shut down my system to move it and after booting it back up, Outlook isn't working again.

Has anyone else experienced this and, if you did, how did you resolve it.

Thanks in advance.

In Google Search type your providers name with setup Email account in Outlook for whatever version. Go to File/Account settings/Change,. Make sure the settings are the same as listed on the web page as in your account.

I'm running Outlook 2003 on a Windows 7 desktop. It's been working fine for last couple of years. I had about 2000 open but unsorted emails in my inbox. Now, whenever I click send/receive, instead of just downloading new emails, it downloads the entire contents of my inbox again every time, so that I'm getting multiple copies.
Any ideas for resolving please? I bought a new small Intel NUC a couple of months ago, running Office 365 including Outlook on Windows 8.1. Could this be connected? Issue didn't start at that time though; only in last week.
Thanks Ray

Answer:Outlook 2003 downloads all emails on every send/receive

It sounds as if somehow, a setting might have got corrupted at your email server's end. Usually, there's an option to delete email from the server once you've received it in Outlook - but if the setting has got changed to 'keep a copy on the server', it might cause it to download everything every time.

Hi

I am using Microsoft outlook 2003. I have set up two POP3 emails set up so far. Everything was working fine, until yesterday when I noticed that my emails were always sitting in the Outbox although the status bar says, "Email Send and Receive Completed". Moreoever, I noticed on my mail server that new mails are coming in but Outlook does not download them. Whenever I hit the "Send/Receive" button, it seems to be downloading it and the status bar says, "Email Send and Receive Completed". I go to Edit my Email account and when I test the account settings, all the test seems fine.

Also, more recently, the outlook send/receive progress dialog window pops up and keeps on trying to send/receive messages. It seems to be looping.

Can anyone please help?

Are these the exact settings that you had before you reimaged? Generally speaking the port or authentication setting is wrong when people have this issue. Try using standard ports w/o SSL.

Answer:Outlook won't receive emails after Cumulative Update KB3200970

Who is your Email/Internet Service Provider? Is it web based (ie) GMail, Yahoo mail, etc or is it by your ISP?
In Google Search type your providers name with setup Email account in Outlook for whatever version. Go to File/Account settings/Change,. Make sure the settings are the same as listed on the web page as in your account.

Hi

I've set up my outlook 2007 account and it was working fine but now it doesn't send or receive email, all the email I want to send go to the Outbox. It's very irritating!!!!

I deleted my outlook account several times and made a new one but it still doesn't work. The information sent to me was to for incoming mail server was POP3. Port 110
and outgoing mail server SMTP. Port 25.

I used pop.secureserver.net for incoming and smtpout.secureserver.net for outgoing.

I have also checked 'My outgoing server(SMTP) requires notification' but still no hope.
Also to mention the Password icon popping up every so often even though I have requested my password to be saved.
please help me if you can!

Thanks Hasher:

I can send but not receive email in outlook 2003 since our daughter switched our Comcast to their new X10 platform. I called Comcast 4 days ago and only received 2 callbacks saying someone would call me in 24 hours, 48 hours later each. Error box says incoming server could not be found. Asus G53S laptop, Win7, i7. max ram.
She had us scheduled to change to ATT like she has but after she and the kids spent the holiday break here she was very happy with Comcast programming and cancelled ATT. She set up Xfinity's new X10 for us and is even ordering it for her house.

Answer:Outlook 2003 won't receive emails since switching to Xfinity

You most likely need to set the correct server addresses in Outlooks settings panel for the email account.

I have tried the SFC /scannow solution a number of times.

Hi,

We have a user and i have a very strange outlook problem. The problem
is that he can receive emails but cannot send them. The email stays in
the outbox.
I have done the following so far with no help:
deleted the .srs file
recreated outlook profile
reinstalled oultook.
Confirmed mailbox is not out of quota
Checked with Exchange admin and the mailbox is setup just fine
However when i log him in as admin he can send/receive emails.
I gave him Full Control of HKLM\Software and C:\Program Files folder
but it did not help. We cannot give admin rights to users as per
network guidelines.
I am baffled as he can receive but cannot send emails.
Any help will be really appreciated

So we are using an exchange server here and outlook is not sending mail. It can receive it, but it can send it. The mail just sits in the Outbox. Here is the funny thing I noticed. You can create emails and click send, but they go directly to outbox, no further. Then in the tool bar there is no Send/Receive button and I can't add it back in via the customize toolbar menu. It seems to have disappeared from there as well. Any help? Anyone?

I saw alot of people ask this question online, but not alot of answers.

Answer:Outlook 2003-No Send/Receive Button, Emails do come in...

are you hosting your own exchange servers? must be something not configured properly there...

try to add a pop/imap or web email like gmail or hotmail to outlook to verify that you can send receive fine and the problem is that the server is not configured properly

I performed the Windows 10 upgrade. Since that was completed I've been getting a receive error in Outlook 2013:
Outlook 0x800ccc1a - Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified.
I can send emails, but am not receiving.
I did some research and found a tip to do a cmd prompt with:
sfc/scannow
I tried doing this many times. It always ends with this message:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.log.
The scan does not fix the email problem I'm having.

Answer:Why won't my Outlook 2013 receive emails after the Windows 10 Upgrade?

Any ideas?

My partner and I both have hotmail live email accounts. I had his emails forwarding to mine because he doesn't regularly check his. I set this up years ago and don't even remember exactly how I did it.

The last email to him that was forwarded into my email was on 13 May.

Using his laptop I logged into his account directly and the Outlook Mail page looks different to mine. There were no emails in his account at all.

Using my laptop and email account I sent an email to his address and this came through to his email on his laptop but did not bounce forward into mine.

There were definitely emails sent to him in the last 19 days.

Any ideas on what is happening? And how we can find the emails that haven't turned up anywhere?

Thanks in advance.
