Preferred Solution: Will the Hybrid dual pen drive support Windows phone Lumia 535 dual sim?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

There is no indication that you will get Update 2 for your 730 because MS did not make any announcement. So it will be part of the W10.

Can anyone help with this. Need to know.

Answer:Does dual-SIM Lumia support LTE, 4G and 3G on both SIMs?

At this time, no. The second SIM is usually 2G if you are using both sims in service at the same time. If you just use one sim at a time, you will see LTE, 4G and 3G.

The camera on my Lumia 630 dual sim phone doesn't focus on objects. When ever I tap a spot on the screen (no matter how far from the phone) to focus on, the lenses move, make a half hearted attempt at focussing on it, and then just shift focus somewhere in the middle. ..Hey gang..built my daughter a system for Xmas which is not going to be 100% I guess, but close..I built a dual-hard drive system one for the kids and one for her to do graphics work..I installed a spinner sata with Win 7 for kids and an SSD with Win 8.1 for her..installed 7 first and then 8 and things were fine, Win 8 would give me a nice screen asking me which OS I wanted to boot to.. but then the spinner started blue screening and grinding so I changed the hd and of course it screwed my boot up and I don't know alot about mbr's and that kind of thing but downloaded EasyBCD and was able to fumble my way through it to luckily get Win 8 back but here's my problem..When I shut down in Win 7 everything is fine as when I start it up I get a bios like screen asking me which OS I want to boot to..but when I shut down in Win 8 it automatically boots back to Win 8 without asking...I have to "restart" to get to the OS choice screen..I don't want to go messing around much further here without some direction as googling my way around miraculously saved me the first time but this problem is a little too convoluted to try and research on my own...Any suggestions greatly appreciated..merry xmas all!

I can't imagine why it would be a "problem".

Maybe pointless, a waste of money, or rarely noticeable, but not a "problem".

I assume you would be going to a smaller drive. That's OK if you don't need the space.

Is this second drive just for storage?

Quick question - do the Thinkpad E series (E540) support FDE for MSATA drives?  I know they do support SATA FDE.  If so, will the BIOS pass the same HDD password to a SATA and MSATA drive at boot? Am going to be using Linux, I have a Samsung EVO 250gb SSD and was thinking about installing an equal sized MSATA to create a software RAID array to speed things up even more.  Both must be FDE however.   Thoughts?

Whenever i try to watch live TV, on windows media center home premium vista, after vista sleep nothing comes up and after about ten seconds it comes up 'No TV Signal'. OK, I have a question about how to set up dual wans to route p2p traffic to my non-throttled adsl account and move all other traffic to my cable modem. Both connections are wireless at heart, but the adsl in connected to my computer at the onboard nic via a wrt54g w/ ddwrt grabbing the signal and rebroadcasting via a VLAN to my nic. The cable can be connected via my wifi N pcie card.

What I would like to achieve, as stated above, is to be able to connect to both networks and subsequently both isps and route the different traffic to both, either automatically, or manually.

I have quite a few old boxes, nics, and routers laying around that could be used to build a linux/bsd solution if necessary.

I know I could just set up one of the old boxes as a freenas or the like, connect it solely to the dsl, and use it for managing my torrents, but I would really love a solution for my main box if not for convenience, also to feed this curiosity monster of a brain of mine.

Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time!

Answer:Hybrid Dual WAN setup question.

Have you attempted this using the Advanced TCP/IP settings window? You can configure it to work with more than one provider and I think the routing can be changed by configuring the IP, subnet mask and default gateways.

I'm building a PC, using the Intel DG45ID motherboard with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB (SATA) hard disk. I want to partition the HDD to support dual booting of WinXP now and, in the not too distant future, Windows 7. Here is how I plan to partition the HDD, before anything is installed on it. Note: the HDD will actually be two identical 500 GB drives arranged as RAID 1.

A:\ USB floppy disk (when inserted it appears as A:\ on my present WinXP system)

C:\ Primary partition, for WinXP OS
D:\ Primary partition, for future Win7 OS (no Vista!)
Extended partition:
E:\ Logical partition WinXP apps - I like to have the apps separate from the OS
F:\ Logical partition for future Win7 apps (most of the XP apps installed again)
G:\ Logical partition non-graphic data: (Excel, Word, email, etc)
H:\ Logical partition graphics data: jpegs, video, most powerpoint, etc), and Windows swap file

In the long run, if/when Windows 7 matures, I would probably drop WinXP and perhaps use that space to install and dual-boot some other OS.

Questions:
1 Is this a workable arrangement? Have I allocated primary, extended and logical drives correctly?

2 In order to form the extended partition with multiple logical drives, does E:\ have to be primary?

3 Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

Answer:Solved: Drive partitioning to support future dual booting - need confirmation

I am having difficulty installing Win 8 RP in dual boot with Win 7 on my Samsung Series 5 ultrabook. In the past, I haven't had any complications with installs on other systems. I followed the instructions to the T using a USB drive. The laptop boots to the Windows 8 installation screen, goes through the usual processes and then reboots. However, instead of rebooting and continuing the install, it returns to the beginning of the installation process. Other times, it just boots right back into Windows 7.
I don't know if the hybrid HDD has anything to do with it. It's supposed to help with a faster boot process through a cache on the SSD. Does it overlook the Windows 8 installation when it reboots?

Answer:Dual boot on Samsung Series 5 ultrabook with SSD/HDD hybrid HDD

Hello Scurcio, and welcome to Eight Forums.

It sounds like you set your BIOS to always boot from the USB first in the priority order. Normally you would need to have the HDD set to be the first device in the BIOS boot priority order, and only select to enter the boot menu at startup to select to boot from the USB temporarily for just that one time. This way it'll boot from the USB, then the HDD when the computer restarts.

Since you already started the installation, set your BIOS to have the HDD to be 1st in the boot priority, then restart the computer with the USB still connected. Hopefully, it'll pick up where the installation setup left off and continue.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

After looking through several posts on this and other forums it seems that everybody that operates with two hard drives has they smaller drive as the master and the larger as the slave. Is there any reasoning behind this?I have two hard drives, but I have the larger as the master with three partitions separating the operating system (XP pro, Sp2 etc) from the installed program files and my files and folders (documents, media etc.), while using my smaller, slave as a backup for my files. Can anyone advise me which arrangement, if any, is better and why? Thanks

Answer:Dual dual hard drive, master/slave arrangement

No, entirely up to you how you arrange them. Many people start off with just one drive then buy a larger drive at a later date. This will explain why the O/S is on the smaller of the two drives, but of course there will be other reasons as well.If I was to reformat a system with two drives, I think I would separate the smaller drive into two partitions, anything upto 10Gb for the operating system and drivers required for hardware then a similar or slightly larger partition for all the applications such as Office etc.Second or slave drive would be in two or three partitions, first one for a backup of everything on the C: drive then two partitions for all my data. There are no hard and fast rules for this and many members will have their own preference, some with the opinion that with modern machines and operating systems there is no need to partition a large drive and in fact better not to. You can also mix drives of different speeds on the same IDE channel and the IDE controller will let each drive run at its respective speed. So, some people will have their master hard drive and one optical drive on one channel then their second or slave drive on the other channel with another optical drive.

I upgraded to Win 7 (Home Premium) from XP by adding a new physical drive, not by inserting a new partition into the original boot drive. As a result, files essential to the booting of Win 7 are stuck on the XP drive. The XP drive cannot be removed or reformated because doing so would make it impossible to boot Win 7 from its drive, at least as is.

I have already added a great number of files to the Win 7 drive, and there is no space left on the XP drive to reinstall Win 7 there either. If possible, I need a solution that will make the Win 7 drive bootable so I can remove the XP drive completely, or reformat it.

As currently configured, XP is on drive C:, Win 7 was added to drive E:, and the system is currently run as a dual boot. Attempting to boot without the XP drive present will yield a "NTLDR is missing" error very early in the boot process.

I have already tried the following:
(1) I moved the hidden Windows Boot Manager files (bootmgr as well as the associated Boot folder) from the XP drive root to the Win 7 drive root.
(2) After physically removing the XP drive, I rebooted to the Win 7 installation DVD, and used the "Repair Your Computer" option to pull up the "Recovery Tools". Then, using the command prompt utility, ...
(3) I attempted to write a new boot sector to the Windows 7 disk using the command: Bootrec /fixboot, - that yields an error though. The Bootrec /fixmbr claimed success, but ultimately did not make Win 7 drive bootable. ... Read more

Answer:How do I remove XP from a dual-boot on dual-drive system, leaving the Win 7?

I found a solution. It's convoluted but it works. I will present it here in detail in case anyone else runs into this problem. I also found a Microsoft support article related to it, although it's discussing this problem for an older version of Windows:

Changing Active Partition Can Make Your System Unbootable

The article points out the boot-up error symptomatic of having multiple active partitions ahead of the actual partition with the OS: "NTLDR is missing". That is exactly what I experienced. Since most people use drive C: to boot from, they may never see be aware of this idiosyncratic problem, as active partitions after the first won't cause the problem. Microsoft blames an Intel's design for this oversight.

I first disconnected all other hard drives except my chosen boot drive, - this allowed Win 7 to boot properly, if only from that one drive. Here's the way in which I finally was able to reconnect all the drives and boot from my Win 7 drive:

(1) Once Win 7 was able to boot from the single drive remaining, I deleted the unnecessary boot menu left over from the dual boot by running the command prompt utility in the administrator mode, (right-click on command prompt program icon, select Run as administrator), and used the following command to delete the menu: BCDEdit /delete {ntldr} /f

(2) I then reconnected all the drives I previously removed. Consistent with what I'd expect if the Microsoft article was true, Windows 7 no lon... Read more

We currently have a dual phone line set-up. It's one line which receives both phone calls and faxes on the same line. The line has two numbers, one for the phone and one for the fax.

We have recently set-up the software to receive faxes on Windows. It works fine however when we set it to receive faxes automatically, it answers normal phone calls as well as faxes. This results in the caller getting the loud fax noises in their ear...

Because of this, we've had to set it to manually receive faxes which is a pain.

Our old fax machine seemed to be able to tell the difference. Why can't Windows?

Is there something I've missed or any mods I can use to make it work?

Ok, I searched & didn't find it.

Can someone help me clarify this:

I thought the dual core systems were going to be ok with XP Home, since Microsoft said its only going to count packages. (IE: HT or dual core will be ok with XP Home - only count as 1 package)

And Pro would be good up to a dual-processor system with dual-core. (2 packages = 4 cpu's)

And what about the 840EE. Its only one package, so can it run on XP Home also, even though it supports 4 threads ? (1 package = 4 virtual CPU's)

Answer:Dual-core support for Windows XP

Basically DC and HT don't count for the dual proc limit as far as I know. Only 2 seperate physical processors.

Hi
i have a hp2010i DVI and VGA capable monitor with hp 6610. I have an older VGA only monitor from my dell xp computer. I want to see if i can use both monitors as a dual monitor config but i am thinking i may need some kind of video adapter. . is it possible to have both monitors run to the vga port via some kind of adapter or can i even do this at all? Or worse do i need to buy another monitor compatile with my new monitor. I also dont know what they mean by a video adapter. the new monitor only has vga and dvi outputs and the old is vga only as i said. The hp computer only has a dvi port and then an hdmi port, but not vga. i currently have a vga to dvi adapter to run the new monitor off the vga port.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Answer:dual monitor support windows 7

It depends on your computer, and it's video card. Do you have more than 1 video output?

I have two external monitors set up to my laptop. An old Dell monitor via VGA, and a HDTV via HDMI. However, my card only supports using two at a time. If I had a better video card I could run all three at once.

I also have a digital projector I use (disconnecting the HDTV) that can run with a VGA cable or a HDMI to DVI-D cable

i would think it would, otherwise it would not support hyper-threading. how much benefit you would get would depend on what you are doing with it.

2 actual CPUs in a media center pc means 2x as much fan noise and a beefier (and probably noisier) power supply.

I had to reconnect drive C: just to boot into Win 7 again to write this. I do have files backed up, but to format and reinstall files would take many hours beyond just the time to transfer 400 GB of data, since I have dozens of purchased applications that need to be freshly reinstalled and validated as well. Basically I want my E: drive now to be my boot drive while the C: drive is reformatted and used for general storage.

Any idea how to make my Win 7 drive bootable? Do I need a partition program that is more adept at creating a viable boot sector, or is that even the problem?

Hi

After struggling with a problem at my office for a while, a helpful member of these forums managed to sort it in a few minutes so I'm back for some advice on my home rig!

My home rig is basically split between work use and recreational use. Currently I have an OS drive with a couple of storage drives - all mechanical SATA drives. I decided that I was going to get myself an SSD and use that with a fresh installation of Windows 7 (Home Premium) as a gaming install. I need to leave my current Vista install intact because it has a number of programs set-up for my work and will continue to handle this side of things.

I was aware of multiboot setups, though I have never done one before, and as such have read a number of threads on the subject, including the great series of guides by Brink found on this site. At the moment I'm thinking of keeping the installs seperate, not technically a dual-boot I suppose, by removing all the other drives whilst I install Windows 7 to the SSD. Choosing the OS will then I believe be a process done within the BIOS by selecting the drive boot order.

I came across this mentioned in one thread:

"Use the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key given on first boot screen to trigger the HD not set to boot first"

I think this means a key for choosing the boot order? I have an Asus X38 motherboard (Asus Maximus Formula) with an AMI bios and I can't seem to find anything at POST or in the documentation that suggests a key to get a boot sequence s... Read more

Answer:Dual boot / Dual Drive queries

Hello qwikpix, welcome to Seven Forums!

The BIOS hot-key to trigger the ASUS one-time boot menu is the F8 key at PC startup.

Both Vista and Windows 7 will use the C: drive letter while booted to each respectively and "the other" OS will have the next available drive letter in the booted OS.

The other partitions will have different drive letters between the 2 OS but you can reassign the letters as long as that won't break any installed prog/app associations by doing so.

Ok,
Here's the story. I have 2 different OS's on 2 different drives. The main is Win 2k Pro and the secondary is Win XP Pro. I just have so much on the Win 2k drive I kind of want to ease into an XP state of mind. Here's the issue. On the 2k Pro Drive I can see all of my hard drives (7 in all) including the secondary OS Drive, but when I boot to the XP drive I cannot see any of the other drives aside from the OS drive. I have looked in the device manager of XP and seen that all of the drives are there, I've go to the admin tools/computer management and see them there. I've even tried to copy the same access and control settings as the XP drive to all of the other drives on the system and still no luck. The primary OS drive is on the MB main IDE channel and I also have a 400gb drive on that same chain, neither can be seen with the secondary OS Drive. The remaining 4 drives are on a single promise card and are accessible on the primary OS drive but not the secondary. I've checked the device manager on the XP drive to ensure that all devices have been installed properly and that no unknown devices exist.

I have tried everything that I can think of and I'm hoping its just some setting I'm forgetting. Can any one be of assistance?

Thx for all the help

Answer:Seeing harddrives on a dual Drive Dual OS System

Just too add:

I've already gone thru the Administrative Tools, Computer Management options and all drives are seen as healthy, even stating the drive name aside from the drive letter none with an unknown color or tag.

Just a reminder that all drives are on IDE chains either directly on the main board or on a PCI promise card.

Here is a weird question; please help if you can:

I'm running XP on a Panasonic Toughbook laptop. I have two 160 GB hard drives, each in caddies that remove/replace in seconds from the laptop. Shut the laptop down, flip a door open, slide out the HD, install the new, close the door, boot up again. Poof...done.

The computer has a Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 1.6 ghz, 3.15 (actually 4 but the XP can't read it all) gB memory. It's got the guts needed.

I would like to purchase and install W7 Pro on one of the drives. I can as such 'ease' into familiarity with W7, experiment with compatibility with work software, but still have the full functionality of XP at hand with the other hard drive.

When/if it all works out, I can migrate data over as needed from the XP drive to the W7 drive with an external USB drive, and abandon XP.

Dual boot on one drive is not workable; the XP drive does not have the space to make that possible....I would be forever fooling around with space limitations. And, I have the extra drive/caddy already in hand (it's a spare for imaging from my backup in the event of a failure).

I'm very experienced with computers; typically people come to me for help.....but 7 is uncharted territory for me. I've given the process a lot of thought, and want to do it this way, so toward that end, your expertise on the following questions would be appreciated!

Here's the questions:

Answer:Help with dual hard drive/dual boot

I'll answer as best i can here...

1) You should have zero issues here...MS would be more than happy to have as many installs out there as possible. Remember you are buying a 2nd OS to install on 1 machine...i can't see how this would upset them

2) The OEM version should be fine.

3) As far as this goes this i can only see being dependent on driver support since it's a laptop. If the drivers for your machine are available for 64bit by all means go for it...

Hello All,
I am facing a problem when I try to connect my new Lumia 730 to my Windows 8.1 PC (no "N" version).
The device appears in Device Manager in Other Devices as "not configured correctly" (Nokia Lumia 730) and the following entries with a questionmark: MS-ABTP, MS-TCC, Windows Phone.
I already tried several tricks:
- Uninstalling all the devices and connecting the phone again,
- Removing Micro SD card and trying to connect the phone without it,
- Swiching between charging mode and mass USB connection on the phone,
- Installing Windows Phone App (it cannot see the device).
Strange is that my work PC (also a Windows 8.1) connects the device without any problems.
Do you have any idea? Thanks a lot for your help!

If my Nokia Lumia 530 dual sim crashes when upgrading to windows 10 what will I do

Answer:will my Nokia Lumia 530 dual sim crash when trying to upgrade to windows 10

you can try this
Download and install latest Nokia Software Updater For Retail
Run NSU and this window will pop up. Then click "My device does not boot up"
Now connect the phone that has been stuck at spinning gears via USB cable (make sure its fully charged) and click continue.
After connecting the phone, this will show up . Now press and hold the power and the volume down button until the phone vibrates. Your PC will detect a new hardware and will install the required drivers if needed. Then click Ok.
NSU will take over from here and will reflash your phone with a hefty 1.2GB of firmware download from its server. Let it finish and then you're done.

I'd like to ask if the windows vista starter edition has limited capabilities on dual monitor (especially extended desktop). I just bought my laptop last month, and I observed that I can only enable cloning but not extended desktop. I have ATI Radeon HD 3200 for my graphics hardware. i already tried reinstalling my graphics driver, update my bios and reinstall my OS, but to no avail.

When I checked my display settings, It only shows one monitor labeled with number 1. I tried to checked the capabilities of my graphics and it can really support dual independent monitors (extended desktop).

I tried to check some colleagues' laptop who also have windows vista starter as their OS. Upon checking their display settings they also have only one monitor displayed despite that they have Intel's X3100 graphics card.

Because of this I came to a conclusion that there must be something wrong with starter edition in terms of installing the internal monitors which should always be two, labeled with #1 and #2. I tried to ask our university's ICT people and they said that the monitors should always be two even before installing the drivers. Please help!!!

Hey there! What happened is this: I downloaded the update onto my SD card(32gb) without any problems using OTA on my phone. But, when it restarts in order to install the downloaded update, I get back to my Windows 8.1 Update 2, and there's an error saying that the system tried to install the update from the card, but it couldn't. Can anyone help me with this?

Because W10TP does not support the install from a SD card yet ( butyou download an update to a SD card).
So if you want to install the W10 TP you can not use your SD card.
This function will however be included in W10 but we do not know when.

hello,
i have some questions regarding dual booting windows 7 home premium x64 with linux fedora 14 on dual independantly dedicated drives. i am a college student with moderate computer (windows) knowledge but am doing software development and would like to play around with some linux for a class. i have no prior experience with linux and have minimal knowledge of operation. i am currently running windows 7 and would like to keep it as my primary os. i do not wish to share media files across drives or os's, windows does that just fine as is and i dont want to get into a third drive. my current drive is a 1tb wd black caviar hdd. it is also currently 2/3rds full and the desktop is about 6 months old so i would rather not partition the drive for a dual boot. i would think that there are some other advantages for the os's operating independantly off their own drives other than if one hdd dies i should still have the other with its os still ok. i have read some topics about RAID configs with dual boot setups with dual drives like this but am not very familiar with RAID. is there a RAID config that would be beneficial in this situation? i currently do not have a RAID card. my tower internals are not very accessible and i dont like the idea of disconnecting drives depending on which os i want to operate. so what would be the best way of going about this? this is a near future project so i am looking for someone with some experience in this area hopefully.
thanks - garrett

I'm trying to dual boot 2 different installs of xp pro from 2 drives using the Windows boot loader. I've edited the boot.ini every possible way I can think of, but nothing works.
I've done this plenty of times using a linux boot loader or dual booting from a single drive but I cant figure this out. I haven't been able to find any reference to this subject anywhere, but I think it would work. Anybody have a clue as to how to do this? I know I can use a different boot manager to accomplish this, I just wanted to make the Win boot.ini work.
Or, does anybody know of a good boot manager if I cant make this work?

Definitely the 950 and 950XL. Windows 10 mobile finally adds support for USB OTG. I don't know for sure if that requires newer hardware though, but I think so. So it may not work on older devices or low end devices.

Hi

If everything goes well I'll be building my first gaming desktop later this year.
One of the scenarios I'm considering is having 4 hard disks and two OSs,
a1, a2, b1, b2
the a disks would be 128 SSDs each with its copy of Win7,
the b disks would be 1 TB HDDs with data.

I want a1 (when I boot with it) to recognize only b1, the same with a2/b2.
In sum, I want one of the data disks not to be seen/accessed by the "other" OS.

Is this possible, and if yes how?

Regards

Answer:Windows 7 dual boot dual disks

Just remove the unwanted drive letters in Disk Mgmt and it will not be seen in Explorer.
During install of each OS, unplug all other drives. Set preferred OS to boot first in BIOS setup, then trigger the other OS SSD using BIOS Boot Menu shortcut key.
If this isn't to your liking install EasyBCD to add the secondary OS to a Windows Boot Menu. This way the drives will still be independently bootable to come and go as you please. They would not if you leave the other one plugged in during install.

Answer:Dual Windows, Dual HDD's and two system patitions

Unplug your Vista drive and do a startup repair up to 3 times with your Windows 7 installer (dvd disc) your system files are on your Vista harddrive. That is why it won`t let you delete it. Reconnect your drive and you should then be able to delete it.

Hi, I installed Windows 7 on a second hard drive (WD 500GB c) to create a dual boot with Vista (OS d). This has been working great and I have fully transferred over to Windows 7.

Now I want to remove the Vista drive (OS d) and format it to use for data only or in future purchase a larger capacity hd for data. I think my MBR is on the Vista drive so how can I do this safely and easily?

I have attached a screenshot from disc manager.

Answer:Removing Vista drive from a dual boot with Windows 7 on seperate drive

Unplug Disk 0 , and then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times . It will add the Windows 7 boot files in the WD 500 GB disk 1.

(But if you want to make the boot files in a separate partition (which is a usual situation with a clean install), you may see System Reserved : Create Using Disk Management .)

Now you are able to Boot up windows 7 directly .... so you may easily format the Vista disk, if you want, either using the option three of the tutorial Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD , or Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command or SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation .

Hope it helps .

EDIT : If you dont want to format the vista drive, you will need to delete the windows 7 boot entry from it . Download and install EasyBCD , Click on the "Edit Boot Menu" button and Click on delete , and save .
Now , you can use the either OS using the boot menu key of your computer, selecting which disk is to boo up during start up the computer.

Well, assuming Wikipedia is correct, it looks like you'll need at least Professional since Home Premium limits you to one physical CPU, and (as you said), 16GB of RAM.

Answer:AMD XP 2400+ Dual DDR Support?

The 2400+ AthlonXP has a 133mhz FSB (266 DDR) which can use about half of the effective memory bandwidth made available by a DualChannel memory configuration. In other words, the AthlonXP can't really benefit from the extra memory bandwidth.

hey. Recently I got a new computer. On my previous one i had it set up so that it had 2 monitors working in unison side by side, and apparently i took it for granted, cause' now that I am stuck with just one it seems like everythings cramped and it sucks. On the old computer I had the 2ndary monitor plugged into the low end peripheral graphics card (gc) that came with the system and the primary monitor in the after market 64mb nvidia something. The driver for the new card supported 2 monitors, so i plugged the other monitor into the low end card and it worked pretty much flawlessly. Now though, on the new one, it does not work because it has an onboard gc and the same new card from the old machine. Is it possible to run 2 monitors with the onboard port, and the port on the gc?

Answer:dual monitor support

Depends on the motherboard. Some permanently disable the on-board adapter when an AGP adapter is detected, some don't.

Mine disables it, but I use a dual output card to drive dual LCD's.
