Preferred Solution: I downloaded a Torrent client (torrex), now why can't I uninstall it?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: I downloaded a Torrent client (torrex), now why can't I uninstall it?

Ah that problem exists on RT too, such a stupid problem that can't happen except on a stupid OS, this problem drove me nuts on Windows 8, I remember that I had to reboot to fix it, my guess you already did.

Hi guys,

I have Dell Precision M4800. Before having Windows 10 Pro x64 installed I had Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 and all that time I didn't have any BSODs. However, since I use Windows 10 Pro x64 I periodically have BSOD. Below is the error in Event Viewer.

What's more interesting BSOD happens only when files are downloaded in torrent client (I use uTorrent). When uTorrent is not running or uTorrent is running but nothing is downloaded then I don't have BSOD.

Any chance this issue can be resolved? I would appreciate if someone could help me with this BSOD.

Thank you.

Wassup guys!

I`ve been using UPnP U-0.8.5 Fast Resume Client & Multilanguage because it proved to be fast, but I'm having problems because it's outdated to some trackers......

Can't decide which one to use some told me to try Azureus and Bit Tornado............. can some one tell me if theres another client fast enough?

Thanx in advance!

Answer:Best Torrent Client?

Bit Tornado is the faster of the two when it comes to loading and has the better bandwidth control.

Azureus on the other hand is better able to handle multiple downloads in one "window"

As for which to use, try them both. They are so different that it's hard to say which to use without knowing your d\l habits...

I know that allegedly nothing else for windows is light and stripped down to the basics, but there has to be something else out there. What are you guys having good luck with?

Get the new version of utorrent? Usually, the newest version isn't banned, but I'm not sure about your particular tracker.

I have downloaded a video file using u torrent.It got downloaded in my document.Now problem is that i am not able to play it.Please help

Answer:How to play torrent file I downloaded

You need to clarify what you downloaded. A torrent file is not a video. It's a file used by utorrent (& other Bittorrent clients) to suck in the video file from all the users that are seeding it. Torrent files are generally only a few KB in size. Video files (assuming it's a movie) can be anywhere from about 700MB to several GB, depending on how it was ripped.You should be getting your videos from a reliable torrent site such as isoHunt.com. And you should always read the reviews before wasting your time downloading a file. There are ways to fudge the seeder/leecher numbers & make a file look like it's a popular download, but if you see a file with say, 1000 seeders & no comments, you should be suspicious. The ratings are usually based on a 1-10 scale, & there's usually one for audio & one for video. If you see a 10/10 rating, it means both are excellent. You'll also see other comments such as - FAKE! If you take the time to do a little research before downloading, you should have no problems.Anyhow, if you downloaded an actual video file, what format is it in? .AVI? .MPG? .MKV? And what happens when you try to play it? Which player are you using? If you use Windows Media Player & all you get is audio, your video codecs need updating. Or you can install VLC Media Player which will play just about anything you throw at it.

So, i downloaded a torrent. Went to open it..it opened, and then nothing..i got frustrated and just deleted the files.

next time i booted my computer..WAM!

svchost shoots my processes to 100% and they stay there. I cant open task manager or soft shutdown my computer.

I flatline it, and when i boot it next, here is the list of all the problems and what i am currently doing just to get this little browser working.
on boot, if i dont open task manager ASAP, svchost will lock my cpu usage to 100% and not let me do anything, literally.

Once i have opened task manager, and my computer has loaded completely, i wait for svchost.exe to spike, and i just end task and i have my computer back..sorta.

After that is done, my computer then begins the slow degrade untill it finally crashes.

First my desktop theme begins to revert to windows 2000/nt wannabe (i use xp pro)

Then the virus disables my sound card/drivers, then it removes all the selectable icons from my web browser, then it wont allow me to open programs..untill finanlly it just sits there at 3% cpu usage, not letting me do anything..untill i hit reset.

Any idea's?

I have an old laptop with a Celly 2.6 GHz CPU and 1 GB of RAM. I'd like to be able to use it as a low power torrent box, allowing me to shut off my gaming PC when not needed, and in the end saving a lot on electricity.

I've tried Vuze on it. While I like its features and overall dependability (Its what I used on my desktop), I dont like the fact that it uses ~90% CPU usage downloading one torrent. Something tells me there are better options out there.

So that said, I am looking for a lightweight torrent client with RSS-downloading abilities as well as the ability to monitor a directory for torrent files and start their download automatically, so when I want to download a torrent and I'm on my desktop, I simply drop the torrent file in the monitored folder, and the client takes care of the rest.

Any ideas? I know uTorrent is popular.

Answer:Low resource torrent client?

+1 for uTorrent, it has a small footprint, though if you are downloading many torrents at once it will use a lot of ram. Very flexible and lots of useful features.

Has anyone out in MG land heard of/used 'Deluge'? It's a new (maybe it's not new; it's new to me) torrent client and since I'm always on the lookout for different (and hopefully better) programs, I figuerd I'd offer this up and see what you nice folks had to say about it. It seems a bit large at over 15mb (compared to uTorrent 1.6.1 at a measly 163kb - my current client) and I really don't need a different client as I'm happy with uTorrent and it works fine. But.... maybe I'm missing out on something great here.... the extra 14.8mb might be something amazing.... anyway- any thoughts or opinions or user experiences with 'Deluge' will be taken into consideration and appreciated.

Thanks!

I have tried ABC, utorrent and azureus and they all crash after a few mins. It appears to be a possible NIC driver problem, due to the fact that those never worked since I built this computer, but work fine on any other. I have tried using both the NVidia and marvel NIC's that are onboard my A8N-SLI premium with up-to-date drivers. Anyone else have a fix for this?

Answer:torrent client crashes on XP

Interesting. I've never had a problem with either one of my Nvidia or Marvell ethernet ports, although I prefer the Nvidia.

Just run through some basics:
1) You've enabled them in the BIOS
2) You've installed the drivers for them
3) In "Network Connections" it shows that they are connected to the internet and receiving/sending traffic
4) You can surf the intarweb with IE or FF using one or both of those ports
5) You've forwarded the ports on your router for the bittorrent client.

Those are the basics that I can think of. I know it sounds stupid, but I make small mistakes like this all the time, so it's always good to double check.

Hello All,

I have a problem on one of my PC's when I use a torrent client that doesn't occur on any other machine I have and I am wondering if it might be somethings in my settings in Windows 7.

So I have one laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium and a desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate. Both PCs are connected to my network via wireless connection and both using BitTorrent clients.

When using the client on the laptop the download ramps up to say 300kB/s, holds for a few seconds and then drops down to 0kB/s. It does it this over and over again. My desktop (downloading the same torrent from the same source) ramps up to 300kB/s and stays there until done.

At first I thought it might be my service provider, but it doesn't make sense that it only happens on the laptop. Is it possible there is a security setting or firewall setting in Windows that needs to be adjusted? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jacob

Answer:Windows 7 and Torrent Client

you are using a torrent for a start you hardley even get a constant good connection with those things it all depends on the leechers and seeder etc. Personally I never use torrents you just asking for trouble regarding viruses and most are illegal anyway,

Have you made sure both network connections are the same? one may be using more bandwidth that the other.

I'm kinda new in the whole torrents thing and have a question about it:
My brother told me that "Opera" browser has a built-in torrent manager so I tried using it and wasn't that impressed...
So I searched a little and found that there is another browser with a built in torrent but i couldn't find its name or where to download it from.

Did you hear something about it?

Thx a lot!

Answer:Why won't my torrent client download?

Hi - I have just rolled my PC back to Windows 7 for a couple of reasons.
On three occasions I received the BAD_POOL_HEADER error message and had to reboot, I was initially hoping to find a solution to this. However then I found that uTorrent (free) froze my M/C and Vuze did precisely the same. The PC also froze for no apparent reason on a couple of occasions.
Perhaps a clean install would have prevented some of my issues but as I had been really happy with Windows 7 I decided to roll-back. Aside from having to remove a few unwanted locks from program icons the the roll-back went smoothly and from what I can see the PC is as it was before so all I have lost is a few hours messing around with the unit. I didn't want to suffer the frustration of an unreliable machine or spend endless hours trying to make certain programs work well.

I do not download copyrighted material or anything at all illegal. If I am downloading four or more torrent files at once (utorrent client), my computer loses connection to the Internet and I cannot connect again until I unplug and refresh my router and modem to give me a new IP address. This occurs on three different computers i've tested on the same network (two xp and one vista). However, I can download three torrent files at a time from each of two computers with no trouble at all. I contacted my ISP (Verizon FIOS) and asked them if there were any bandwidth limitations but they said there were none at all. I don't know why this is happening and would like to be able to download more content at once! Ideas anyone?

Im having a problem that i cant seem to resolve here.

When using uTorrent to download torrents my other connections and that of my family are cut off. Netflix wont work on the TV, my web browser on the computer wont work, Ipad phones etc wont load anything.

Ive been troubleshooting it somewhat and removed utorrent and reinstalled it.. same problem.... i uninstalled rebooted and installed the Bit Torrent client figuring it might be a conflict with uTorrent, same problem. This just started happening recently, within the past 5 days, and there isnt anything i can figure out that was installed or downloaded in that time that could be causing this. I've run spybot and scanned with avast... nothing found. Its getting annoying. Im thinking about just trying a system restore from about 2 weeks ago but i want to know if anyone knows WTF is causing this, or if anyone else has had any problem associated with it.

Answer:Using a torrent client stops all other connections

What kind of shitty router do you have? And how many concurrent connections have you set the torrent client to allow? That would be my first guess, the torrent client is using all the available connections your router can manage.

I've been thinking about this and I just can't come up with a good answer.

I have a Windows 7 virtual in my ESX box and it's been running just fine for some time. The only issue I'm having is that neither the Bit Torrent client or uTorrent just flat out refuses to install. I've downloaded them from both Chrome and IE, into different folders, run them as Administrator, tried under a different profile with admin rights, turned off UAC, windows firewall and MSE, and still nothing.

At first, I got a message saying, would you like to run the application utorrent.exe or bittorrent.exe and after acknowledging it, it goes away and that's it. There's no executable in in task manager, nothing to block or allow.

I'm absolutely stumped. The same executables, run from diffeent PCs over the network, run just fine and install perfectly.

Please tell me that there's something else I can try. This is becoming really annoying and the other bit torrent clients I've tried all suck.

Answer:torrent client crashes computer

Blue screen issues are related to hardware problems or software clashesEspecially memory or hard drive. I'll advice you to uninstall the torrent client and continue to run your machine for some weeks. If the problem persists, note that is hardware problemAlso try to back up your system from now, otherwise you'll regret later.Back up should be on your external drive.

Simply put I am in need of a very lite torrent client that does not need to be installed to run.

Due to limited net connection at home (satellite only) I am limited by download restrictions and limits.

I need an app I can put on a portable drive and take to work and just plug and download with no shell extension or install since it is a work computer and I don't want to clutter it up.

Hi,

ever since i've been using retail W7 Ultimate 64 my system(s) keep(s) freezing when running a torrent-client (Tixati, Deluge, any uTorrent). When not running torrents my system(s) are rock-solid, tested extensively.

A fresh OS install on this system was done 2 weeks ago & so far hardly any 3rd-party software is installed. Using Norton Internet Security 2010.

Since i've started using this retail W7 Ult. 64 every part inside this system has been swapped, so cpu, mainboard, ram, psu, drives, videocard, sound, everything has been swapped but the problem remains.

I attached the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder & the PERFMON report.

Thanks a mill!

Halite is a really nice open-source torrent client with full support for Windows 7. It comes in both x86 and x64 and is really light-weight but powerful and full-featured. It's very much like uTorrent.

Hey, my problem is that I cannot delete a file, it tells me that its type is WinRar ZIP archive but I cannot see its properties or move it or open it, I cannot do anything with it!It has a very big name, starts like that "_E4_BA_BA_E4_BA_BA_E5 ......."I've tried unlocker but it doesn't show up the option Unlocker when I right click the file, and the Eraser program does nothing! In safe mode when I tried, I got the error "Error Deleting File or Folder, and Access is denied "I downloaded the file along with a movie from pirate bay, the link is -removed-

Answer:Can't delete Winrar torrent file downloaded from pirate bay

We are NOT going to go to your link. Did you try rebooting after the attempt? You may need to be logged in as the administrator. This is what you can get when using torrents.

I downloaded a torrent, then shutdown my computer. Next time I started it up, it went really slow and every time I move the mouse, the desktop icons disappear and a window pops up saying "Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" also something saying "run DLL as an APP has run into a problem and needs to close"

I deleted the afore mentioned download, but the problem persists and gets worse each day. Did the 5 steps, ran different cleaners, virus scans, etc. and nothing new. I tried to system restore, but it kept saying no changes made.

Here is my main.txt and extra.txt:

I recently setup Sophos UTM on a spare machine and have been learning some fascinating things about network security.

Most recently, going through the l dashboards I have discovered that uTorrent running on my server is sending out huge amounts of traffic to the university of Iowa. I tried to figure out why, but I have no idea how to narrow down what specifically in the client is trying to communicate to this IP. I tried using wireshark to obtain more info but that only tells me that the protocol is a GSVP.

This is the log entry from Sophos:
2016:10:09-20:45:06 sophos ulogd[6840]:
id="2105"
severity="info"
sys="SecureNet"
sub="ips"
name="UDP flood detected"

fwrule="60013"
initf="eth0"

dstip="128.255.150.200"
proto="17"
srcport="38599"
dstport="57279"

One more producing tons of traffic.

Hello:

Oddly around 2 weeks ago, whenever I started a torrent I would get an immediate BSOD and reset. BlueScreenView showed it was always an ntoskrnl.exe error and a "DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL" error.

I tried updating all drivers and canceling IPv6. I formatted and reinstalled everything and the exact same thing happened. There isn't anything else wrong with my Desktop so far as I can tell.

Answer:BSOD immediately upon starting any torrent client

Hi herman1134,

I would recommend to clean install Windows using a genuine activation and stop pirating programs. Piracy is more then likely against the forum rules and as such no support will be given until all piracy has been removed and you have genuinely activated your installation after a clean installation.

Was wondering if any of these programs that claim to enhance performance of applications such as Azureus or Bittorrent do what they actually claim. I've exhausted all other options (port forwarding, TCP limitations in XP) with decent results so I can't complain, but more is more.

Any thoughts?

Most often Netio.sys is really your Malware app. In your case McAfee.
I do notice McAffee which is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST!

So, when I open Vuze and start downloading a torrent, my internet for everything else just dies. If I want to browse websites, things progressively start loading more and more slowly until basically everything stops. The only internet-related thing that keeps functioning is Vuze and I think instant messenger like AIM also works... maybe. I haven't tested it extensively recently.

I used to have this problem when I used Azureus, too, but eventually I got that fixed by enabling UPnP in my router. (I still have no clue WHY exactly that fixed it.) I still have Azureus on my laptop (it's version 2.5.0.0), and I have it running right now as I'm typing this. And I can browse the internet just fine. But for some reason, Vuze still does it. I have Vuze installed on my PC, and last time I tried using it, like a couple days ago, it did that. I'm connecting through the same router off my PC and laptop, so ... if Vuze has issues whereas Azureus does not, it must be something with Vuze itself? I don't even understand how this problem could be happening. It's really weird: how could this program prevent me from browsing??

Thanks

Answer:Why does Vuze (torrent client) completely jam my internet connection?

Have you upgraded the firmware on your router lately? What router do you have anyway???

I have a feeling that your router is being overwhelmed by the multiple connections to the net that vuse uses.

I'm looking for a mail client that encrypts not only my mail ids and passwords but also downloaded messages. Possibly with mail-to-mail end encryption. It would be even better if the application was open-source. Is there anything like that or is it too much for my expectations?

I know that thunderbird encrypts my passwords and its enigmail plugin enables pgp usage but it doesn't encrypt downloaded data so even when the attacker doesn't know my gmails data, he/she can still access all the storage that was downloaded from the server previously.

I have two user accounts on my computer. One is my personal one and is password protected. The other is for my roommates to use if they want to watch a movie or something (I'm a nice guy; they hardly ever use it anyway; not password protected) Yesterday afternoon I downloaded a Client software program from my University's software page. I wanted to be able to log onto my school's engineering servers from home. The installer told me to restart when it was finished downloading. Since I've done that, when I turn on the computer it automatically logs onto the movies account and not my personal one. When I click switch user, the screen goes black and comes back to the movies account desktop a few seconds later. Same thing happens when I hit log off. I have restarted and shut down the computer numerous times with no help. Does anyone have ANY idea of what I should do? Thanks so much for your help.

Answer:Downloaded Client Software from University's website, will not log onto my user.

Did you install using the movies account? Or does the movies account appear first on the screen you normally get to select which account you want? If either answer is 'yes' that may be a clue to what has happened. But for what to do about it you probably should start with contacting your university's IT department.

Answer:How to Uninstall (downloaded)Automatic Updates

When Windows Update asks you to install updates, choose the "Custom" installation (or whatever button isn't the express installer).  In the following list, uncheck the updates that you do not want and press Install (or Continue/Close if there are no checked updates).  A small message box will appear with a single check indicating whether the unchecked updates will be permanently ignored.  Check the box and continue.Fleexy

If at anytime you want to include them, just click on Restore hidden updates, tick the box(es) then click on Restore which will force a Check for Windows Updates.

I downloaded a program which I then decided that I did not want to keep, and went through the normal routine of Control panel/Programs/Uninstall. But part of the way through that I had the following error message which means nothing to me! "Runtime Error (at 77:904) Access violation at address 681F2140 in module "WSUtilities.dll" then "Read of address 00000000" Reference to Control panel/programs still shows it there - and I want to get rid of it! Any advice would be welcomed.

I have a update downloaded.
It trys shut down install and it frezzes, or crashes, or breaks windows.

All my restores seem to contain some update. No matter what fix I run, what program I run nothing can fix the problem

The update is already installed, I can no longer Update windows because its waiting to shut down and install this one (when I try that it fails)

This is possibly root cause of most my issues with windows. Though ask about this because im worries I might keep having this problem. I have read a lot about people having update issues with windows 7 so any info be great thanks,

BTW its already downloaded its not installed, if try install won't go through. If I try fix it doesn't work I need a way to just.... get rid of it all together.

I dunno let me know. Seems be common issue be nice know the sollution

As per the instructions here I am attaching the required zip file. I get BSOD every 5 mins running Torrex for win 10. I contacted Torrex support and they sent me a beta version but without success on an HP laptop. With a Lenovo Torrex runs without any problems. I had the HP reformatted twice to factory settings by a technician but no resolution. I updated all drivers still no resolution.

Answer:BSOD with Torrex on one laptop but not another. Both running win 10

Please uninstall following programs and use a restore point to revert back the changes they have made.

Code:

Start Menu\Programs\IObit Uninstaller Public:Start Menu\Programs\IObit Uninstaller Public

If there is no restore point available from before any of these programs were installed then you may need to perform a clean installation of Windows 10. Working with new X61s, XP Pro SP2. We prefer our users to remember passwords for their websites and want to use the fingerprint reader for login only. To free up resources we want to uninstall the client security solution.  My questions are: 1) The machine has a TPM chip.  If this functional in XP, or is it strictly a Vista thing?  2) Aside for the TPM, will uninstalling the client security solution cause any other issues. 3) If the TPM is active under XP, what are the steps necessary to uninstall CSS gracefully. Thanks. Tomster

Any suggestions?

Okay guys ad girls ....
I recently switched to Comcast Pro with the big connection speed and when they installed it the installed a prog called BJCF 'BroadJump Client Foundation" that is using alot of my system resources. I read some posts that said to simply uninstall it ...easier said than done. Apparently it has been changed so that it doesnt just 'go peacefully'. I would like it out and I would also love to have some one look at my start up tables and tell me everything i'm doing wrong. When I go to try to uncheck some of those boxes to not start so much stuff ..it always tells me that "are you sure you want to make that chg??' then it always wants me to undo the changes and if I don't then it reminds me everytime i start up that its wrong and I need to go back to the original config. HELP and Thanks in advance for the look!

Answer:BroadJump Client in my cable pkg won't uninstall

I had the same thing when I used the cd to install roadrunner. I don't think I really needed to use it but didn't know any better. It also installed support.com. I did some searching on the internet and found out I didn't need either one. So I go rid of about 50MB of unneeded items.

I just went in and removed them in Add\Remove and then did a search of the registry and my harddrive and removed everything I could find and haven't had any problems since.

You need to wait until TonyK or one of the other gurus comes along about the other items. TonyK is in Europe so give him time and he probably answer your questions.

Answer:Uninstall Client Services for Netware

It is a client that gets installed in your Network Settings. Find your Local Area Connection and Right Click and Select Properties. You will see the Client listed under Components used by this connection. Uncheck it if you still need to use it or just uninstall it if you dont need it anymore.

When I try removing it through the Add/Remove programs, it goes through the sequnce of removing it, but it still remains. Tried the Norton Removal Tool - it does not load on the machine (server is running Server 2000). Contacted Symantec and they gave me a link that instructed me to do many registry changes, which I did. I also deleted all files and folders associated with Symantec as well. After making the changes, the AV client still appears in the Add/Remove programs, except now "Remove" is greyed out. I need to upgrade this system with a more current version of AV software, but can't since a "Legacy Symantec product is still installed" Anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Unable to uninstall Symantec AV Client 8.x

Try running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to get rid of the rest of the files:

Hi,

I am unable to install the Java based client and server CrossFTP programs.
I tried it through the Windows Add/Remove Programs and also through CCleaner 2.08.

In Windows Add/Remove Programs I get the following screen:

But after clicking on "OK", nothing happens.

The instructions on the CrossFTP website say:
"CrossFTP client and server is installed as Java cache in your system, hence you do not need to remove it in most cases since it does no harm to your system. If you do want to clear CrossFTP in the cache, following the guides:

* Windows Users:

You should be able to find the uninstall/remove program item in the control panel's Add/Remove Program list. Click to remove the CrossFTP. For CrossFTP Server, if you checked the "Start Automatically after System Login" on server's main frame, please uncheck it before your uninstall."

I would appreciate any help in cleaning this program from my system.

Thanks

Hi,

I want to uninstall the IBM Thinkvantage client security solution/Password Manager that was pre-installed with my new computer, but I do not see it in my "Add/Remove Programs" list. I'm thinking I just might have to go to the directory and delete it all, but I don't know if this will mess things up.

The reason I want to do this is because every time I boot up my machine, the client security is asking me for a password I don't have, and don't even recall setting up. I always use the administrator account on my machine, but the password for the account is not the one security is looking for. I've been told by IBM reps that after 10 failed authentications, the computer will lock up for an hour, and progressively longer periods with further fails. I haven't kept count, but I think I'm approaching the 10th time. The IBM/Lenovo reps also don't have a clue how to uninstall it, since they only deal with hardware support.

My ideal solution is to get rid of the program entirely, as I don't need it. Failing that, I would settle for fixing it so that it stops asking for a nonexistent password. Anyone have this problem with IBM/Lenovo machines or have any ideas how to fix?

Thanks

I am trying to upgrade to windows 10 and can not without uninstalling HP Security Client.  Unistall will not remove it. How can I remove it?

Answer:Uninstall HP security client to upgrade to windows 10

As it is understood that, you had tried uninstalling the HP security client from Add/Remove programs list and that did not helped. To help you further, please follow the steps as mentioned below: On Windows, any software installation will add subdirectories to one or more of these folders-Program Files (C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86))-Program Data (C:\ProgramData)-AppData (C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local or LocalLow or Roaming. AppData is hidden, so enable 'Show hidden folders' option to find it)-Delete all files related to HP Client Security from these locations. Cautionary Note: Don't delete all folders/files related to 'HP'. Make sure you remove only those related to 'HP Client Security'. Apart from that, you will have to search the registry for related keys. Generally you will need to install keys that explicitly tell the installer that the software is already installed. This may be something of a BOOL value or something like a version number.First of all back up your registry key, to do this follows the steps below:For Windows Vista and Windows 7:-Click the 'Start' button.-On the 'Start Search here' field, type 'regedit' and then press ENTER.-Click 'Yes' when the User Account Control window appears.-Click 'File > Export'.-Select the directory where the registry backup will be stored (e.g. desktop).-Enter a file name for the registry backup (e.g. Backup Registry Date).-Under Export Range, make sure that the 'All' radio button is selected.-C...
