Preferred Solution: The next big update for Windows 10 may bring widget like functionality for store apps

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: The next big update for Windows 10 may bring widget like functionality for store apps

Well they do have some Widget functionality now in that they can be set as live tiles. The gadgets which are MS's name for Widgets of Windows 7 could get live feeds for thing like temperature and current weather conditions.

Answer:Can't Update Apps in Windows Store

I had this same problem today.

easiest workaround I've found, is to uninstall the apps, make sure you mark down somehow what you own.. you'll need this list..

reboot the computer, load the app store, download the apps again.

it should download the app with no problem.

load the app as you would normally and have a nice day.

Within the last week, the Windows Store has been giving me issues with installing new apps, or updating existing apps. I've rolled back my system to before this issue began, but the issue is still presenting itself.

Whenever I try to install or update an app, I'm met with the following notice: "Something happened and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code 0x80072efd."

I'm not having any luck finding solutions through Google searches. I ran the Windows Update Diagnostic and it seemed to find, and subsequently repair some issue but whatever it fixed did nothing for my Windows Store error.

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

When I try to download Metro apps from Windows Store, I receive an error message saying "Something happened and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again later. Error code: 0x80010108".
I Googled it and tried to reset Windows Store cache by wsreset.exe but it didn't help. It occurs to every app I try to install. Please help!

Answer:Can't download or update apps from Windows Store.

Hello, SDhamija.

Most of these are default-installed apps upon OS installation. Did you uninstall them and then reinstalling? What do the details say? Do they all give the error code 0x80010108?

You may want to try running these:

All Windows Store apps that I have fail when they are automatically updated. Here's what I just got in my event log.

Event ID 20 - Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070002: OneNote.

When I go into the Store and look at the update it shows the update as having had a problem. I can click on the spinner icon which downloads and installs the app so all is not lost.

I don't have any other problems with Windows Update. Other than Store apps they all automatically install just fine. I've seen lots of various solutions for WU problems but I haven't found one specifically for Windows Store updates. I'm hesitant to try one of these solutions since WU works fine except for Store apps as I mentioned.

Any ideas on getting this working again. I tried clearing the the Store cache but that didn't work. Store updates are not a regular occurrence so seeing if something works might take some time.

Hi

It is possible update for all users the Windows Store apps with a local account belonging to the Administrators group?

Then, I believe that the management of updating of the Windows Store apps can also be managed only by administrators. Right? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks

Answer:Update the apps of Windows Store for all users

Hello Balubeto,

Store apps are owned by each specific user account, and must be updated in each specific account as well. User accounts do not share Store apps, so they can not be updated for all users from another account.

However, Store apps have automatic updating turned on for all users by default.
Windows Update - Automatic Updating - Turn On or Off in Windows 8
You could disable or enable the ability of all users to turn on or off automatic download of app updates though.
Store - Enable or Disable Automatic Download of Updates in Windows 8

I'm trying to update my current genuine Windows 8.1 home to Windows 10. Unfortunately it fails no matter what method I use. I've tried everything. I think it's due to the fact that my windows apps are broken. Same goes for windows store and pc settings. Upon clicking any of the above I get an icon in the taskbar but clicking on it does not reveal any window. Also live update for the tiles associated with apps does not work.

I've tried already :

1. Automatic repair of windows store and apps with a dedicated microsoft app. Output : "Can't find ms-windows-store:PurgeCaches"

2. Using automatic registry repair tool called Wise Registry cleaner. Rebooted, nothing changed.

3. Ran 'regedit' and tried to access HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\Repository\Packages
Unfortunately, folders 'Repository' and 'Packages' did not exist. Author of the troubleshooting guide available here [FIX] Error "ms-windows-store:PurgeCaches" While Resetting App Cache In Windows 8, 8.1 encouraged readers in comments to create these directories if they don't exist. I did so and established the proper permissions.

4. Accessed command prompt as administrator and typed the following chunk of code :
Code:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml" and got the following err

Doing it through the forced update will fail. First run the DISM fix, DISM - Fixing Component Store Corruption in Windows 8

You can also download the ISO, which will allow you to upgrade from your desktop, by going to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 Download the tool, which will download the ESD-ISO, which you can then do the install.

Just got a refurbished Surface Pro 2 and I feel like the Windows installation might be a bit broken. Done all the usual googlings and every step I make takes me further down a feedback loop of 'computer says no'.

Firstly, if I try to check for updates (in control panel), it gets stuck in a 'checking for updates' loop. I saw one fix was to make sure the date was correct, mine was WAY off, oh how I delighted in the promise of that being the obvious fault - it was not.

The other issue is that the app store thing has never worked. At first it was because the initial Windows set up messed up my attempt to log in using my Microsoft ID, then I rectified that and, like the update issue, it too hung upon trying to start it. I did the fix where you copy and paste this 'Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML' into Powershell, but all that did was delete the actual store app.

Store is ok now, no particular reason, just windows update that's broke.

I have several apps that refuse to update with the error 0x80070005. Some of the apps include Groove Music, Microsoft Photos and Films and TV. Here is what I have tried so far.

1- Checked the time, date, time zone and region is correct. User account control is enabled.

2- Run the WSReset.exe as administrator

3- Gain full control over packages folder using the advice here:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...6b0107a?auth=1

4- Control Panel/Troubleshooting/View All/Windows Store Apps/run troubleshooter. The troubleshooter did a few things and also ran WS reset and reported the Windows Store cache may be damaged.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall one app but it refused to reinstall so I had to use system restore to get it back. I am the only user logged on as the administrator.

Is there anything else I can try? Your advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Chris

Hi, please do this as a matter of routine:
From an admin command prompt

chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Make sure the result is clear or fixed- else do not proceed.
Post back the result, which you can get after a restart as follows:

I have an HP Desktop Pavilion 8.1. Been a great work horse for several years. This a.m. I turned it on as normal. I think I logged in first but it's such a habit I can't say but instead of my desktop appearing it went to the whole screen changing colors of the Metro ... sorta colors. And had messages such as DO NOT turn off your pc, ALMOST done, etc as the screen changed colors. It took about 8 minutes? When it was done all I had was a blank black desktop and a grey taskbar. A grey metro start button that does nothing at all. I can do odd things like right click to get the menu to View and Pesonalization but it won't run them. Almost 0 functionality. Running Task manager it reports no processes running and when I click on the USERS tab it lists no users. I was stumped. I got out my recovery stick and put it in. It in a combination will allow boot up to the old familiar desktop. But not every time.

Right at this moment I have my desktop up and running and the USB Recovery stick is in. I do not know if I take it out if it will boot up normally again without the stick in. One time it did boot regularly and then not. Then it boots with the USB stick in and then not.

That's why I say WHAT JUST HAPPENED? I run antispyware and malware on a regular basis. Defrag often maybe to a fault. Thankfully I have all my important files backed up but there is so much time and thought put into this pc. I thought once to do a restore from the USB stick. Greetings all, new to the forum. I got the fall creators update and it looked like everything installed correctly. It installed so well (Or so I thought) that I deleted my windows.old folder on my C: drive. Now the kicker is, I noticed that the Windows Store and some of the Apps no longer work. I believe this was before I deleted the windows.old folder.

Any thoughts on how to fix? I have tried using PowerShell as Admin to reinstall the Store and the apps and that has not worked even after giving the windowsapps folder Admin rights.

Creating a guest account does not give me access to the Store either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Windows Firewall must be enabled to allow the Store to Update & Install!

In the morning I noticed they were still pending and thought it was the Wi-Fi, but I came back from school and they still haven't updated even though the Wi-Fi was on. However my phone was not charging during this period. I need help because even the phone app isn't functioning.

Hi,
I have to take care for multiple computers for our youth work. It are windows 10 computers with multiple local users (administrators). Computers are clean installed at the beginning of this year.
Windows 10 makes me very unhappy, cause very often Store apps stop functioning. I?ve had troubles with the photos app, the calculator app and the store itself. A user starts the pc and calculator/photo or store app does not work any longer. The app is found in the search result, but it?s icon is white. And under it the text ?desktop app?. No joke: the store pretends to be a desktop app.
I read some other posts on your forum about not working apps or not working store. But ?my? apps and store think they are desktop programs.
When there are problems not all the users on the pc have the problem. Mostly it?s okay for one user, and for all the other users it is corrupt.
I found a work around: make a new user. And for the new user all apps work.
But I get a fulltime job creating new users and giving the user?s documents and settings back.
Does anybody know a way to PREVENT the loss of functionality of the modern apps?
Does anybody know a way to REPAIR the broken modern apps? I found some Powershell magic on the internet, but that did not help.
I?d be very grateful for any help.
Koen

Hello
I have had my *new* computer for quite some time now, but from the very start, my Windows store has never worked. Each time I tried installing an app, I would get some freaky error (I can't remember which). I mainly noticed this when I tried updating to '8.1 or installing any app. When I try to, it stays saying 'Pending'. I go to the start screen (still 'pending'), so I click on the app, to see it's progression. When I do, it says the app is downloading, then it throws back an error. I can't remember what the error was, and I can't find out (since I can't even get into the store). I would appreciate any help.

**Things to note
>I can't get into the store, because it remains at the store's splash screen. I got in once, but it came up with a screen saying it (the store) isn't available.
>It has been like this ever since I got my computer

Does a store install from 8.1 to 10 on a new laptop work as well as a new laptop with 10 factory installed?

Answer:Windows 8.1 with store upgrade to 10 vs factory installed 10 functionality the same?

By "store install", I'm assuming that you are referring to taking your new laptop to a place like Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot, etc. and have them do the installation of Windows 10 for you?
If you have a store handle the install, they are responsible for making sure all the appropriate drivers are installed for your particular hardware. There should be no issues if you do it that way. However, if this is a laptop that you have been using for a while, I'd recommend a backup in case someone messes it up. If this is a laptop that you plan to "purchase" and have them upgrade it for you on-the-spot, then I would be comfortable with that. You may even get a better deal on it as they are probably wanting to get rid of their old OS stocked laptops.
One reason I would consider Windows 10 pre-installed is if I were considering dedicated new hardware designed to work with Windows 10, like the RealSense camera for Windows Hello. You won't find such hardware on a model that doesn't have Windows 10 already installed.

I recently installed the 90 day Windows RTM on my Samsung Slate. One thing I've noticed is that I can no longer update existing apps in the Windows Store, nor can I install new ones. The symptoms are that the updates start to download, but never finish. The status stays at pending.

I also have another installation of the same RTM version running in VMWare, but I can update existing apps from the store just fine.

Has anyone had this problem?

That may or may not have something to do with my problem. For me, it affects only one app, but I also have this "hanging while pending". In my thread, I have collected a few folders that contain data from the Windows Store - maybe clearing them will work for you (make a backup!).

I was given a Windows 8.1 tablet that once had a detachable keyboard which the guy lost. he reset the whole computer and after I got my information on it instead. After the reset, Windows was no longer activated and I had to reactivate it. which neither of us knows why, it was activated before we did a data factory reset. after I created my user, I installed a bunch of exes. now I go to try to see if I could test out the Windows Store to search for apps. but I search "Windows Store" or "app store" and several other things that may bring it up, but it always says, "no apps match your search" like if the Windows store is missing or somehow magically removed with the reset process. How do I get it back?

The Store shows 24 apps which have updates available and it has been this way for five or six days. How long should it take to automatically update theses apps? I have my WIFI set to metered. I wonder if this is causing Store apps not to update?

Yet again I am unable to download or update apps from the Store. I now have fourteen pending or otherwise stuck. In the past I have solved this by turning the Windows Firewall (managed by Norton) back on temporarily but this time it is already on. I have tried resetting the Store cache and other fixes but nothing works. sfc and DISM have been run.

Suggestions please?

I have to click on download to check available updates in the store and get ALL updates, then quickly click on pause so they all don't start downloading. Anyway I can keep certain ones from showing up to update (usually apps I don't use). There are some I want to update, but to weed through all updates is annoying.

Answer:Hiding some store update apps?

If you don't use the apps in question why not simply uninstall them? That way they won't bother you anymore.

Microsoft store and Microsoft update are two different items. The microsoft ifixit tools are worthless. See the following for fixing the store.

Windows key and X key to bring up the right Context menu..

Right click on the powershell and click on Run as Administrator.

And run the following in a Command Window to re-register:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

Over thirty apps are 'pending', waiting to update. But they will not download --- they report 'Waiting for Wi-Fi'. The internet connection is good. I have lost use of Mail, People, Edge, and many other important services. I have switched Windows Firewall on, which restored the Store but not the apps. What is going on?

Answer:Store apps will not work, download or update

Hi clayto.

Does your tablet, from your specs, have cellular and wi-fi. If so what happens if you disable, for a short period, the cellular?

As well any chance you have enabled "Metered Connection" in your Wi-Fi settings?

Start => Settings => Network and Internet => Wi-Fi

then click on your current connection.

Before the anniversary update all of my Windows Store apps were working properly. Now some of the apps will start the app splash screen like it is going to launch, then it exits back to the desktop. I have searched the issue of windows store apps not running on the internet. I found basically 2 solutions and neither one works. They both involve running long commands from the powershell as admin. One of them also required a permission change on the \programs files\windowsapps folder. I tried both fixes and they don't work. I have tried uninstalling the app rebooting, then installing the app again and that didn't work. I have also tried the wsreset but that didn't work either. Unfortunately several of my favorite windows store apps are ones that aren't working. Is there any way to fix this issue without reinstalling windows again?

Hello,

I am trying to install this app from windows store, and I keep getting this error: 0x80072f78.
I tried following every guide offered in the first 20 results in google with no luck. I deleted registry keys, reseted the store cache, disabled the antivirus- you name it.
windows is up to date, and no errors were found in the troubleshoot diagnostic tools (WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab & Appsdiagnostic10.diagcab).

I thought it might be something with the proxy settings or security (that are applied via GPO), but my colleagues do not experience these problems.

So I tried to use a different computer- to check if maybe it is my computer, but the problem persisted.
At this point I thought it was my account, so I created a new account- But still no luck.

what the heck??

New to this forum: I have been unsuccessfully trying to resolve this issue through other forums. I am unable to "Get" new apps since Anniversary Update.
Lumie 640 LTE, Windows 10 Mobile Build 10.0.14393.189
Can't "Get" new apps from App Store. I get the message: "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help."
Can get updates for installed apps.
Can download/reinstall "owned apps" that were previously uninstalled.
Can download/install apps which were installed on my other Lumia 640 LTE on Window Phone 8.1. Any "Owned" app seems to be no problem.
This is what I have done so far: Soft reset including removing battery. Hard reset and restore. Reset time zone. Turn on/turn off battery saver. Verified that both of my Lumia 640's are listed under "Devices" in my Microsoft Account.
Hope someone can shed some light on this, and I don't have to wait on a future update to rectify the problem.

Its an incredible device, but Windows 7 really brought it down. It was sluggish, unwieldy and honestly not too usable.

Hi, I have a problem with a Windows 10 store on my desktop PC. This is not a phone.
I have the latest build 10240 with all of the updates installed. The last few updates installed over last night and then my Store app stopped working.
I searched reddit and found some guys have a similar problem:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3ej38n/store_update_stuck_on_00mb/
The thing was that when I tried to open the Store app this morning I've got a message: Before you can shop, we need to update the Store
I then pressed Update button and then It tries to update the Store app.
But then it just says Pending and it doesn't do anything for the whole day now.
I think there must be some other applications waiting for an update and they all got stuck.
Does any have any idea how to open the store?

Answer:Windows 10 Desktop (not for phones) Store update pending. How can I open the store?

Exactly the same problem here in New Zealand on 2 machines. 10240 is installed on both PCs and they simply refuse to download any data from the store that will perform the store update. One PC is sitting on the "pending" which the other gets a little further to "0.0 MB of 40.1 MB...". It is only a few days until official launch so these basic bugs really ought to have been sorted by now :-(

A while a back ago I upgraded from windows 8 to windows 10. I was happy to go back to the classic shell look and feel. Although signing-in password changing/disabling is sadly not up to par as it should be (Can't disable pw/cannnot change back to old pw). Anyways back to my main issue the windows 10 store and apps.

Ways I've tried to get it up and working or just other problems
1) wsreset.exe- fail
2) http://www.techgeekandmore.com/2015/...r-0x80070003/- worked for 1-2 apps then failed
2.1) Renaming SoftwareDistribution to .OLD- failed
3) Every single time I run something in command prompt or admin. powershell I break the start menu & cortana or It- fails
4) I also have trouble logging into the windows store. When I click sign-in I just get a plain blank box, it's like the java script didn't load the sign-in material. I'm pretty sure my java is up to date last time I checked.

In conclusion, it sounds like I need a reinstallation of windows 10/store ; or even to get rid of system entirely (reverting back to 8). It would be a lot of help if someone could give me some kind of direction to take this, because this has been baffling me for awhile. I'm surprised Microsoft has not put out a message about this; although I did hear they pulled their recent windows store update and did update the start menu and cortana in their last update (ofc I just broke it again ).

So I thought I will move my store apps to another drive. Well some where in moving it I cut the files from WindowsApps to another drive with out full permissions so all my files got corrupted. I thought by cleaning out my WindowsApps folder it would just redownload stuff nope now none of my apps work. My question is it possible to copy the WindowsApps folder from another working pc or does it not work that way. Because I have a few working win8 pcs I could use or am I just going to have to reinstall win8

Answer:Windows Store Apps

Well first I want to tell you: Never ever mess around with your system unless you have got a backup (system image) at hand to restore your Windows in case desaster strikes.

To resolve your current problem I recommend reinstalling Windows. By copying those files from another PC you would most likely face various permission difficulties which would take hours to fix with no guarantee that you will ever make your system stable again. Seriously, better reinstall everything. It takes less time and the result will be much better.

Hello

I installed Windows 8 release preview. I see only about 200 apps in the store.

Do you know where can be the problem?
Thanks

On XP Pro SP2, I've never had a problem getting to Windows Update. But recently, it brings up the graphics page "use the Start Menu for Windows update" and will display nothing else. It has a "vista" component in the last node of the URL it brings up. This machine has never had Vista on it. How do I get to Windows Update again? Thanks.

Answer:Windows update will not bring up page

This can be caused by virus problems. Have you done any anti-virus scans?

I am having some trouble getting the default store apps to work. As for the store itself, it used to briefly show the splash then crash. Now it is just an unknown file type that doesn't do anything when clicked. I have tried some of the more common fixes, like the powershell re-register scripts, but none work, all returning errors of one kind or another. At this point, would it just be easier to "Reset this PC", or is there another fix I may not have tried? Thanks!

I was running win 10 mobile 10586.494 and having issues with phone freezing. I did a device recovery to 8.1. Then did insider and my phone went to 10586.107, all MS apps including store were old versions from the .107 release. The next day my phone updated to 10586.545 46 apps updated but the store, outlook mail, outlook calendar and office apps. did not update to current versions. I waited four days and decided to do a hard reset. Same thing about 46 apps updated but all MS apps including store mail calendar etc. are still at old versions.
How do I force the phone to bring all installed apps including store to update?

all other internet connections are fine. when I download an app from windows store - says internet is too slow!

Answer:Why can't I download apps from the Windows store?

While this isn't always a fun response - be patient and try again.
There could many reasons for this happening to you as there are many factors at play when you click that download button. Perhaps there are a millions of other users all trying to download that app at the same time. Perhaps the servers in-between you and said app are in maintenance and are slowing things down. There could be a lot of traffic your neighborhood at the moment you clicked download. The ISP you use could throttle that particular network node.
If the apps aren't downloading, just try again in a few minutes or a few hours. Things will probably be very different.

Can't install any apps.
Shows downloading, then installing and then fails at the end. Saying "Well, this is embarrassing (see details)."
Details show "We can't find the app. error code 0x80070002"
It literally happens with any app I try to download. None will install.
Any help?

Answer:Windows Store apps won't install

I had the same problem yesterday. This may seem stupid, but rebooting helped for me :/
And otherwise, try using the wsreset.exe tool and reboot again.

Has anybody been able to download any apps from the Windows 10 Store in the last few days? I've tried the last several days and I keep getting:
"Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help."
I've even tried using my hotspot connection, but to no avail.
The store loads fine, just can't download any apps.
I'm using a Surface Pro, production build.

I hope I'm posting in the right section here. A while ago I had been having some issues with my machine. To combat this, one of the suggestions I saw was to remove the Windows store and the default apps. At that point I thought it would be temporary or otherwise reversible, and removed it.

Now, however, I can't seem to restore it. I've read that it can be restored by resetting the PC, but I don't want to have to start over to get my store back, as it's been a few months since I've removed it. I need it back for a few key default apps as well as a game only available in the Windows store. Any suggestions will be very appreciated!

Answer:No Windows Store or default apps

You can use this tutorial to restore all default apps or "only" the store app if that is your preference:

I ungraded to Windows 10 a couple of months ago with no problems (laptop was working better than it ever has). A couple of weeks ago I installed Windows updates and since then I cant open Windows Store and various apps wont open (calculator, calendar, mail, maps, get started, camera, get skype, solitaire collection, money, phone companion, xbox). They are all greyed out on the start menu and when I click on them nothing happens. When I click on the windows store icon it flashes briefly on the screen then disappears.
I did a system restore (back to Windows 8.1 then reinstalled everything) and when it booted it was fine. But as I installed my apps again and rebooted it came up with an error message which led me to having to go to a restore point or refresh. I went back to a clean install and installed the apps one by one to see if one was affecting it. It seems to be any antivirus that I install (AVG mainly but also Avast) so these have been uninstalled and I have gone back to a previous restore point. However I still cant access all the apps listed above or the Windows store.
I have tried to do a thing someone posted about Powershell and that hasnt worked. Ive tried various other things but cant remember now what they were but nothing has changed.
I have an Acer Aspire E1-571. I seem to have had nothing but problems with it crashing constantly since I bought it a couple of years ago - I put this down to Windows 8 but Im wondering if it is Windows or the laptop. And whether I... Read more

Hi everyone,

I recently downloaded the google app from the windows store. I would like to pin it to start, but strangely it doesn't show up in the all apps menu. The only way that I have found to open it is by searching for it in the store and opening it from there. When I do open it from the store, it doesn't show up in my task bar. Also when I open it, it doesn't show when I swipe from the left edge on my surface pro 4. I am also unable to uninstall and reinstall since the I cant do so from the windows store and I am unable to find the app anywhere else.

Am I missing something or does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I have Windows 8.1. I've tried typing "windows", "store", "windows store" in the search bar on the All Apps page. My computer login is tied to my Windows Live account and I've tried making IE my default browser. I've been searching the Internet for similar situations, but I can't figure out why I can't find the Windows Store tile!

Hi, I have this problem with my App Store and all my other apps which need Internet connection to function. Since October 27, all of these apps would not update anymore, i.e. they just perpetually load but never connect. Particularly, my Windows App Store, after approx. one minute, would display this error message:

We weren't able to connect to the Store. This might have happened because of a server problem or the network connection timed out. Please wait a few minutes and "try again". (0x80072ee2)Click to expand...

In addition, as I've mentioned above, my Facebook and Bing Finance won't work as well. I'm pretty sure that the problem isn't my Internet connection, since I can connect perfectly well using my Google Chrome (hence, I'm able to access this site, lol).

I've already tried the following solutions to no avail:
1. Run WRESET.EXE
2. Turn manual proxy off (I'm not able to do this because I can't "save" it to "off". When I turn it off, the "save" button becomes unclickable)
3. Run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth on the Command Prompt

If it helps, I'm running on Windows 8.1 on my ASUS Transformer Book which I acquired a few months ago.

Thanks in advance!

The apps in the store are not well programmed they crash anytime, its a big drawback.
some of the doesn't even support. And Microsoft needs to provide more and good apps, provided they wanna see the brand growing.
