Visual C++ 2013 runtime package issue in Windows Store app

Question: Visual C++ 2013 runtime package issue in Windows Store app

I have a pretty strange problem in Windows Store app for my Surface 3, everyday I would go to Download and Updates to check if there's any update for my app, but there's always "Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Runtime Package" showing up in the update list, and re-install itself. Is there any way to get ride of it? It's quite annoying, why does it keep re-installing the same component over and over again?

Preferred Solution: Visual C++ 2013 runtime package issue in Windows Store app

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey guys.
My i tunes and quicktime are both upto date, but when i try accessing the i-tunes store i get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error and it then closes I-Tunes.

I can access my currently downloaded music, apps etc.... if i click on the x when it says i-tunes store is loading, and can rome through i-tunes fine.
It will also play all my music with no problems.

Have done a registry clean, Virus Scan, Disk Check, Disk cleanup and Defrag and still no luck

It does however come up every now and again, and can access it and download music, apss and things.

Any advice on how to get proper functionality out of it, as it is really bugging me.

Greetings,
Due to an error with Windows Update ["WindowsUpdate_8024001F" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" which 'magically' fixed itself after a number of rebooting because of the the runtime error mentioning here] I performed a clean boot following the steps
mentioned here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
Normally, upon restarting, I am brought to the login screen with my user icon, and after entering my password I am able to log on.
Upon restarting after configuring msconfig.exe for a clean boot, I am stopped at the login screen. My user icon and the password field does not load, and after about 30~50 seconds, the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error window pops
up. If I press OK, the error window disappears but the user icon and password field does not appear. Wait another 30~50 seconds, the  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error window appears again. This seem to repeat endlessly.
EDIT: I have never had runtime error before, and the error isn't popping up again, unless i configure for clean boot.

I was able to log back in by reverting the changes in msconfig.exe during Safe Mode, and so that is not my question.

I want to ask, what are some possible reasons for this error window?

There is very little to clean up in your log, but we will get to that.

The first thing I'd like you to try is disabling the Google Toolbar.
That might stop the error for you.

I've done my search on the boards and found advice on both the 'software' board and the 'spyware' board.

Looking for advice on whether I should assume problem is caused by malware - if so I'll go through the steps as posted in the spyware sticky. If not, then I'll go through the steps posted by 'kadavill' on the 'software board' (to go through add-ons and disable)

My specifics:

Running Windows XP SP2 (let me know if you need more system info)

Error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application?s support team for more information.
(other 'users' on this desktop can launch IE, just not mine)

Thanks for your help,

Answer:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error for IExplorer

If you think the problem could be malware related, follow the steps below and we will find out.

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps below:

- Download HijackThis 1.99.1

- Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

- Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

- Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

- Run HijackThis and save your log file.

- Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

Hello Tech Guys! I came this site because I was so skillfully helped about four years ago dealing with another windows issue. The site looks great.

I am not computer illiterate, but advanced I am not either. I installed Microsoft Office 2007and Microsoft Desktop Search yesterday. I didn't like Desktop Search and uninstalled it. I also changed some start up configurations with msconfig. This morning when restarting my computer an error message came up:

___________________________________________________________________

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error
Program c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe

R6025

Pure Virtual Function Call

___________________________________________________________________
I have ran norton and it works fine. Once I click OK on the error and the Norton box on the toolbar disappears. Then I click on the icon and it comes back up. I don't know if this is a problem or not.

I have run a full scan, windoc, and a couple other programs to rid the registry files. I ran RegCure and ParetoLogic. Maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill, but it does run a little slower at start up and always gives that error message.

Also when I look at Windows Task Manager, the svchost.exe (system) sometimes is running at 58,000K to 27,000K. Is that right?

Let me know what you think and what I should do. I want to thank you in advance for just being such a great tool in our internet world. Taylor

Error reads as follows...

"Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

This happens when I try to run internet explorer. Firefox works fine. This error started after I installed limewire. Bad, Bad boy. It's now unistalled forever. I believe everything is now cleaned up I use Norton AV & PCTools spyware doctor, however I can't get around this error message. Seems like a C++ bug/virus is trying to or has attached itself to iexplore.exe.

Any help on this? Please?!!

Answer:Need fix for Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error

Hi,

Mostly, this kinds of error can be caused by two factors:

1.Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries are missing.
2.Software problem.

If the issue is caused by #1, you can reinstall the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries to resolve the problem.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B2DA534-3E03-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF&displaylang=en

If the issue still persists after installing above package, the issue should be a software problem. I suggest you take a clean boot check whether it is a software conflict issue. If not, it is still recommended to address the problem with manufacturer support. Thank you for your understanding.

For your convenience:

Clean Boot

1. Click Start, type "MSCONFIG" (without the quotations) in the Search Bar and Press "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility.
2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
4. Restart the computer and test the issue.

Note: Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled, we can re-enable them later. If you see the System Configuration Utility, check the box of "Don't show this message" and then cl... Read more

This is an error in Internet Explorer. Have you installed any plugins or anything new tith Inetrnet Explorer? Itr seems it may be currupt somehow. You should try searching on your XP cd to find Iexplorer.exe and replacing the defective Iexplorer. It's located in C:\WINDOWS\Program Files\Internet Explorer. This should fix it.

Hi, I've searched endlessly on the forums here, microsoft support, and any other technical support forum Google could direct me to and still have not found a solution. I'm not much of a computer guru, but hopefully i can explain my problem enough for you to help me. If i need to show any logs then please tell me how to and i'd be more than happy to help you help me.
On to my problem.

While playing 1701 A.D. (it happens most often with this game, but with other games also) after anywhere from half hour to an hour my game locks up (i can still use the mouse and easily ctrl-alt-kill the program) and this message is displayed:
I have vista on an Hp laptop DV9000 series laptop, my computer is more than strong enough to handle this game. There is also no chance it's over heating. Ive tried right clicking on the exe file and changing compatibility, it didn't make a difference. i downloaded new drivers but that might not have worked properly, i have to install them from hp and it never installs right. The problem existed before i tried to download a new driver and still exist. I also scanned my computer with Trend micro Anti Virus and spyware and have found no possible causes. If there is anything you need me to do please let me know. I appreciate your help.

A full spyware/virus check is in order. Might want to try repairing IE too.

Also, this is a perfect opportunity to get yourself a real browser. Download Opera of Firefox on a CD or a flash disk and install on your computer to get a functional browser.

However, SOMETIMES, when i restart it works in normal mode, but not all the time, and it is usually a one off, then it goes back to being broke.I have used CCleaner to find and fix all registry problems, but that doesnt cure it.I have gone back to a restore point, and it works until i restart it.The internet doesnt really offer any help: it just uses it as an opputunity to advertise products which are as good as CCleaner.What i would like to know, is wat program is causing this problem, and how i should fix it.Cos i hardly think turning off all the startup objects while in Safe Mode is a good solution, while it stops the problem from happening, it also stops things from loading that i want to load.Any Help most grateful.ThanksThe Doctor

Recently I've purchased a brand new HP Pavilion dv2500 series laptop, equipped with Vista as its OS, it was working fine (and in Vista terms, that's not so good..) until about two weeks ago when I started having more problems with Vista.
These are the problems which I believe to be related.

I get three of these error boxes consecutively at startup,

and one of these error boxes when I right click on the desktop, followed by (once closed) the entire desktop crashing and restarting (not the system, just the interface) most of the time some programs are closed by this process.

Hello everyone

I keep getting this error message, when I try to download Adobe Reader 8 from Adobe's website. The message reads as follows : Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Interent Explorer\iexplore.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I do not know what this is or what is causing it. But right before this message appears, I get a message asking about a proxy? I have no Idea what a proxy is. So I click no for the proxy. and that is when the error message occurs. As far as I know of I do not need a proxy to download any programs. Could this be causing the error message?

I'm sorry if I'm not allowed to do this but I wanted to say I get this same error whenever I run Registry Booster V2 by Uniblue. It starts the scan then after a certain point I get that error and the program shuts itself down.

These sound daunting to say the least and I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the correct direction. I'm new here and do not know how to navigate around. Thanks

Hello dottie5917

I apologise about the wait

Ok now i have seen this issue a couple of times,

1. Update your drivers
2. Uninstall Eset Smart Security Suite
3. Reboot and then download and run Auto Runs

4. Select the Boot Execute tab and check that there is no phantom start-up process
5. If there is a phantom program or something that relates to the error message then end the process.
6. reboot and if the error is gone reinstall Eset Smart Security Suite

I recently built a computer with the help of a friend. He has left now, and I am left with some problems. It's running on Windows 7, and it's 64 bit. The problems I am having include the following...
1. Whenever I check for windows updates, it never finishes checking for them
2. I bought and downloaded Witcher 3. It requires GOG Galaxy. GOG Galaxy can't seem to download Visual C++ 2013 or 2015.
I beleive that if the first problem is solved, the second problem will also be solved, but I'm not sure.

Hi,
To add, could you please post the whole error messages here? On which application did you receive this error message?
A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program from working correctly. This can occur if  you are running two software programs that aren't compatible, if your computer has memory problems, or if
the computer has been infected with malicious software.

Hi everyone
If you want to try out Visual Studio express (2013) then note you HAVE to install it in Windows 8.1

If you try in Windows 8 you'll get this nice informative message. !!

Actually it was my fault - it says on the site that you need Windows 8.1 -- my error - however the Full version preview will work on windows 8. The full version though is a bit too complicated for just casual learning IMO.

windows visual c++ runtime library error R6034.

any help!!!

Answer:Windows visual c++ runtime library error

1st make sure windows is up to date using windows update

then follow thes instructions: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

if that doesn't resolve the issue, you'll have to manually install c++ runtime
You need to provide what bitwise Windows (32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64) so I can tell you where to get them. Thsi might be moot since Windows update should get them for you.

Just make sure you select optional compnents (hide bing and silverlight offered updates)

Answer:Runtime Error Visual C++ Runtime Library

You could try doing a System Restore to a date prior to the Adobe install -- this might be a quick fix if something didn't get installed correctly.

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/

---------------------------------------------------------------

It's likely to be an application error or conflict. Back in Win98 days installed games like Solitaire frequently had conflicts with installed antivirus programs or certain other apps.

Try testing this issue using "clean boot" techniques -- it seems like a good candidate for that if it happens predictably.

You might want to even start in Safe Mode first and see if it happens there -- if not, you've ruled out a problem with system files, including the game itself.
First, restart in Safe Mode if necessary -- (tap the f8 key promptly on startup and choose the Safe Mode option from the boot menu) or Normal mode

Then:

Run msconfig and select the "Services" tab. Check "Hide Microsoft Services" and then disable the rest. Also uncheck "load startup items" on the general page.
Now restart and test the issue at hand

If no problems, run msconfig and recheck half the disabled items on the Services tab. Test again. If the problem recurs, UNcheck half the items you just checked to narrow down the culprit.

If the problem didn't occur, check the other half, so all the Services are enabled -- proceed to do this on the startup tab as w... Read more

Hi there,

Got a problem which has developed over past few days. Tried to use HP image zone which came with HP 2350 series printer/scanner. Hadn't used it in a long time and when I tried to access it received 0xc0000135 error. Got in touch with HP. They advised uninstalling the software, downloading .net framework 1.1 and reinstalling. Even though I have .net 1.1, they said reinstall it. I have uninstalled the printer and tried to download .net framework 1.1 from Microsoft downloads site. When I try to install it I am getting the following message :

Visual C++ runtime library

Runtime error

Program C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiexec.exe

The application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

I thought it might be a windows installer problem so I downloaded Windows installer 3.1 with no problem.

Done all the usual scans for viruses, malware, spyware and found nothing.

Can anyone help ?

Cheers,

Aidanski

Answer:Runtime Error Visual C++ Runtime Library

I am getting the same error message, often. I just saw on Microsoft that there is an update to the Windows Installer program. If the version number is 3.1.4000.2435, the computer has Windows Installer 3.1 (v2) which is the most current. So you might have to update, see link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898628/Windows InstallerI already have 3.1(v2) loaded, but I am getting Runtime Errors regularly from Norton System Works/anti-virus. I am running XP/home, also using Webroot Spy/Virus and System Mechanic Pro 6. I update and scan regularly, but get no findings, even using the Trend freebie. Do I sound paranoid?But my Event Viewer showed lots of errors today (only because I just found it). source nview_infoerror event id: 1 and MSI Installer (source) event id 11316 User: ROMEMAIN\Owner. I also got warnings on warnings on Source EvntAgnt EventID 1015 Warning TraceLevel parameter not located in registry; Default trace level used is 32. Do I have problems? I think sooooo.Also Perf... rears its ugly head regularly. From my readings, the community has decided to ignore those PerfLib_PerfData files. But I got the message, again from Event Viewer, PerfNet Error Event 2002 and 2004Unable to open the Redirector service. Redirector performance data will not be returned. I need a portable development environment on the go. So i am just a mile away to buy a Windows tablet. My requirement is that it should support Visual Studio 2013 & Windows Phone 8.1 App Dev Environment.
Come across the below models;
* Dell Venue Pro 8
* Acer Iconia W4
* Lenovo Miix 2 8
* Toshiba Encore
Is curios to know which one suite my requirement best.?
Thanks,

Answer:What is the best windows tablet with Visual Studio 2013 & Windows Phone 8.1 App Dev Environment Support?

Anything running Windows 8.1 Pro can run any of that software, it's just a matter of how well. Look at reviews of how well they run, the specs for RAM, CPU and storage, etc. Remember, when dealing with Windows 8.1 Pro tablets, they are PC's, so you review them like a PC, then you have to review them for the tablet features you need and/or want, such as screen size, clarity, touch sensitivity, pen support, keyboard/dock, lapability, external monitory support and graphics performance.

What do I need in order to fix this problem? This pop-up message appears when I patched my game

According to the error message the application (the patch you installed) isn't working right and for you to contact the folks who made the patch. I'm guessing that would be the support team for Audition Dance Battle or perhaps the support folks for all of e-games.com.ph

::E-Games - Audition Dance Battle::

E-Games Portal

Let them know exactly what the error message says, the specific ID number for the patch you installed, specific info about your computer (make, model, version of Windows you're using, amount of RAM, CPU, etc) so they can figure out what's wrong. In the meantime, you could try uninstalling the patch while waiting for a response. Sorry I can't be more help.

We have been supplied with a product which has not included the distributable runtimes for crystal (v10).
As a result, users are required to install the full developer version of crystal to view the reports from within this product.

We DO have a site license for crystal, so are able to use but do not wish to suffer the installation on many many machines (its slow and painful!). Plus i don't particularly want them to have a copy of crystal installed and accessible on their system.

So, i'm wondering if anyone knows a slim package i can use to ensure each of these client machines can view these embedded reports without having a full developer version of crystal placed on their machine. essentially just the required runtimes.

windows client app.

Visual Studio Online

Today marks the beginning of a new era for Visual Studio with the availability of Visual Studio Online.

Visual Studio has evolved over the years. Starting with an integrated developer environment for the desktop, Visual Studio expanded to also include team development capabilities on the server with Team Foundation Server. We are now taking the next step, extending the Visual Studio IDE with a collection of developer services, hosted in Azure, which offers the best integrated end-to-end development experience for modern applications.

Today, we are announcing the availability of a broad range of developer services as part of Visual Studio Online. Several services that have been available in Team Foundation Service are now in public preview as part of Visual Studio Online: hosted source control, work item tracking, collaboration and a build service. The elastic load testing service we released in limited preview earlier this year is also now available in public preview as part of Visual Studio Online. In addition, we are announcing two new Visual Studio Online services: Visual Studio Online Application Insights and Visual Studio Online ?Monaco?.

Visual Studio Online is free for teams up to 5 users. The... Read more

Dear everyone....
again, kungfupanda with question... :cheers:
sorry for the unspecific title, space isn't enough.
So, my laptop has visual C++ 2005 red., and C++ 2005 Red. (x64)
There is this one program and browser i'd like to install that needs visual C++ 2010 redistributable (x64).

1) My question is... how to install the visual C++ 2010 correctly...?
2) Does the two visual C++ ('05 and '10) play along nicely together or should i uninstall the C++ '05 first?
3) If i have to uninstall the C++ 2005, what is the correct way to do it? Is it possible to use Revo (like uninstalling a normal software)? Or is there a specific uninstallation program to do it...? (like removing AV -kavremover, etc-)
4) When installing the visual C++ 2010.... even though the program only needs C++2010 red. package (x64) only,
should i consider installing the 32bit too (Visual C++ 2010 redistributable) to make my laptop run smoothly?

as always,

so sorry and many thank you's....

Fajar

Answer:<ASK> Visual C++ '05 and C++ '10 Red. Package installation question

1. Download x64 version from Microsoft Website and double click it's icon to run the installer.

2. No need to uninstall, since those are not interchangable. 2010 version does NOT include parts of 2005. Older programs might required only 2005 version.

3. In this case "Control Panel - Programs and Features - Delete" should be fine if you want to go that way.

4. I think you should go for x64 only version. Ff software was created with modern version of Visual C++ 2010, most likely this software exists in x64 version too. Thus no need to use x86 version.

WinXP SP3I need someone who knows about 'C++' to tell me wether or not I should install this package? Advice please.The details leading to this, can be found here...click hereThe package and contents are as listed here below...Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)Instructions:The Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) installs runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2005 installed. This package installs runtime components of C Runtime (CRT), Standard C++, ATL, MFC, OpenMP and MSDIA libraries. For libraries that support side-by-side deployment model (CRT, SCL, ATL, MFC, OpenMP) they are installed into the native assembly cache, also called WinSxS folder, on versions of Windows operating system that support side-by-side assemblies.I already have the following installed on my PC...Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 ATL Update KB973923 - x86 8.0.50727.4053Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.21022Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.17Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.4148Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable - x86 10.0.30319I will set a 'System Restore Point' before I proceed.

Answer:Ms Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)

Been doing a bit of googling for do I need Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x86)apparently:"Programs that use the 2005 version likely can not use the 2008 version so the 2008 version will probably not overwrite the 2005 version. " click hereHowever it also appears that all they are is .dlls and when you install a program that needs them the program should install them. Therefore in your case I would try either installing the 2005 version or updating or reinstalling Real Player.Gleaned the info from click here click here click here

I have a massive library of games on my computer. And every time i install them, they install a Microsoft Visual C++ 20** Redistributable. I was wondering if I need all of those or can I just uninstall every single one except for the latest? I'll include a screenshot of all my list of redistributables i have. its outragous.

Screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti2zq3gx6fqbpdd/Capture.JPG

Answer:Do I need every Microsoft Visual C++ package on my computer?

Some of them are original versions and some of them are security updates for those versions.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is programming language that's installed during the install process of certain programs and suites.

If you uninstall them, you risk having those programs or suites not work.

Leave them alone.

I have never used the Package and Deployment Wizard but I have been told that it will enable other pc's without Visual Studio installed to run the app. The problem i'm having is that when i tried to add the Package and Deployment Wizard component to the project, i get a "Error in Loading DLL" message. Since i have never used it before, i have no idea what to do. I have been able to add it under the References but not components.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks to everyone who reads!

Why aren't these redistributable packages distributed with Microsoft Windows as default and why are they not backwards compatible? There are even separate x86 and x64 builds for it. This is creating a mess of approximately 20 separate installations in
the installed apps section of Windows. Also this is creating a potential problem if some of the developers do not include the vcredist installer with their software thus getting an error of msvcr...dll not found or even worse less explanatory error.

I once had this before when I tried to download Age of Empires Online. I decided one game isn't worth the problem, and I'd avoid all "Games for Windows" games because of this issue. Now, I recently bought a Vita and now I can't download Content Manager Assistant because of this, so now it is becoming a problem.

I really don't want to reinstall Windows, but if there is seriously no other way, I guess I will. This is becoming ridiculous.

I've tried downloading .Net framework and the x64 version, but nothing worked. Do I need to use a registry cleaner (if so, which one, and how can I use one without possibly screwing up my computer worse)? What do I need to do to fix this?

Answer:Error 1935, Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

Following are the various ways you can implement to fix error 1935Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework
Perform a Full Virus Scan
Full Scan your Registry
Reregister Windows Installer
Check System Files for Corruption
Clean the System Junk

To re-register windows installer please perform the following tasks:
1. Click Start, point to All Programs | Accessories.
2. Right click Windows Installer, and select Run as Administrator option.
3. Type the following commands in the sequence given below. Be sure to press ENTER after each command you type. Msiexec /unreg Msiexec /regserver Exit
4.Now, restart your computer.

Hope it fix your problem.

Hi, I am not sure about this....

I run Secunia - the software updater/ checker and it tells me that this is outdated and needs a patch for "security reasons"

microsoft visual C++ 2005 redistributable package (x86)

Does anyone know what this is and do I really need to update it?

Obviously I can make a system image before installing in case anything goes wrong but I was just more curious to know what this is.

Thanks!!

PS I am 32 bit!!

Answer:Update Needed: Microsoft visual C++ 2005 redistributable package

Microsoft Visual C++ is normally installed along side an application. They install runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries which are required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2005 installed.

Theres a good chance that a piece of software on your system requires the C++ libraries to run, it is safe to leave the application on there, you might have issues with a specific program if you remove it.

If you can verify the update is coming from Microsoft, there should be no problem downloading an update for it.

I got the standalone installer package from microsoft's website, but it does the same thing. I'm running (a legal copy of) Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

Question: C++visual runtime

When I burn a disc using itunes I get Microsoft visual c++ runtime library. The only way to get rid of the BIG blue hour glass is to restart my system. I have the latest itunes. It only happens with itunes. Very annoying.
I read around on here and I found no threads with this problem so sorry if this a a repost or anything. newbie.
Any help would be great! Thank You so much in advance.
