Preferred Solution: My Edge is not displaying web pages, what can I do?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

We are a small school on a Compaq network using Server2003 and Surfcontrol web filter. We have a few HP Compaq d220 Pent4 PC's that started erroring out on web pages. Some sites show up with JAVA script on the page, some with nothing (done with errors on page), some with the error screen 'cannot display this site', some partially displayed and then just JAVA script or nothing. We have checked everything we know; updated JAVA, updated Flashplayer, even tried Mozilla Firefox. We got the same results. To our knowledge, Surfcontrol is not appearing to be the problem since the error doesn't occur on our other 20 PC's. We reloaded the operating system on one PC, and repeated all of the updates above again. Pages would display properly once, then never again -- repeating the errors above.

We are stumped and need some guidance.

Answer:IE6 web pages not displaying

Hi WOLL

It's been a while since I played around with SurfControl Web Filter, but I doubt it can cause some of these errors, especially repeatedly after an OS reinstall - they are pretty easy to check up if it did do though in the Control Center.

I would look towards eliminating every cause one by one for this. So far you list you've eliminated SurfControl, OS and browser, but what about the firewall?

You are most likely using a NAT firewall if I may assume?

If true, have you tried bypassing that on a single PC and seeing if everything functions correctly, even for a few minutes at most?

Howdy

I've got an unusal problem that just happened to me. I was surfing around and suddenly page stopped displaying.

What's weird is I can ping pages (example yahoo.com, google.com, etc.) and I get a reply.

I've found away around it (hense my ability to post this), by going to search and selecting an internet search of something. This opens allowing me to view pages.

Not sure if it will help, but I ran HiJack and this is what came up.

Answer:IE isn't displaying pages

Ive had this problem a few months ago. Hope the solution works for you too.

Search for the file "hosts"

Once you have found a few with the name "hosts" delete only the one that is under drivers\etc

Delete that file. This is the file that contains the IP addresses of all the websites that you visit. Please let me know whether you are able to solve the problem with this solution.

Win7 64bit. IE9 opens a window but will not display any web pages. Just the message IE cannot display the web page. Was working OK earlier in the evening.Google Chrome is working fine hence ability to post this topic. Have run file checker and have tried starting IE9 from a cmd prompt as administrator. Nothing. Home page set as it was before. www.Google.com
Tried running restore but it came up with an error message 0x80070005 saying that antivirus was preventing a file being changed and restore was not completed.
Have I got a virus?

Answer:IE9 not displaying any web pages

Try this.
Go to tools > internet Options > Advanced > Accelerated Graphics > Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.
That's assuming that you can access the tool/cog item at top right of internet explorer.
If not. Try doing a system restore in safe mode.
Very unlikely that this is caused by a virus.

About 3 days ago I started having trouble connecting to certain sites. I either get a page not displayed message due to timing out, or it takes 2-5 mins to load a page. I first noticed this with login.yahoo.com. The log pages to Yahoo don't style or show images.. and take 5 mins to even see any text. Yet I have no problem bringing up Yahoo.com. The problem I am having is when i enable my graphics card (geforce 9800 GTX) the edges of the display go out of viewing. I have tried using vista and nvidia drivers, either way once the graphic card is enabled with drivers the format changes and the edges of the display go out of screen. I am still able to click on the task bar and other windows when they are out of screen, because my mouse will also go out of screen to reach them.
If i disable my graphics card, the viewing area is fine.

Use the buttons on your monitor to either auto-adjust the size or do it yourself manually, Its just the settings being used by your monitor and nothing todo with your graphics card or Vista.

Edge had quite a make-over for the Anniversary Update, so it's quite possible some of the defaults got reset. On the 'search bar and favourites' page there's a cogwheel icon to the far right, just above the Top Sites tiles (if you don't have Top Sites either, go to Edge's settings and set 'Open new tab with' to 'Top sites').

Click the cogwheel to customise the New Tab page and add the newsfeeds you want.

My computer is win7, 64-bit with IE9. Occasionally when I click on a url link in a web page, a new tab will open but the entire page is "rolled" up to the top. If I run my mouse up to the top (or bottom, hard to put into words) until I get a vertical 2-arrowed cursor, I can then pull the page down for normal viewing. If I click on any shortcut link in the quick launch bar, the page will open normal or maximized, depending on the properties setting.

But if I click on a shortcut link from the desktop, that's when the page is "rolled" up to the top. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Not even sure this is a Windows 7 issue but...
my ACER laptop died and took a few attempts to get it back up but when it did, all the profiles were gone leaving me with the factory default. Couldn't get wifi to work at all but eventually got Internet Explorer open connected by cable. When opening web pages such as Facebook, Yahoo etc, the page template was there but no actual info despite being logged in. Yahoo mail had the usual appearance (side bar, ads) but no emails in Inbox / Sent and my personal folders were missing. Facebook had the title bar showing profile, friends etc at the top and showed I was logged in but the remainder of the screen was blank.
Then tried playing a DVD but got an error telling me Windows Media player is not installed properly. Never had this issue before.
Grateful for any suggestions!!

Fuzzy images - go to the following registry key:

Create the DWORD UseHR and set its data value to 1 (number one).

Go to IE tools/internet options/advanced/multimedia. Ensure the option to show animations is turned on.

If you have just upgraded IE and you have Norton Internet Security installed reset your Personal Firewall Settings. If that doesn't work you will need to uninstall and reinstall NIS. AdSubtract also causes a problem.

Make sure your cache is not overfull or corrupt. Create new IE data folders as per this link.

Hi,

For the past few weeks now I have been having problems with internet pages not displaying sometimes, this is on my Windows 7 RC pc. This happens in both IE and Firefox. I have ran all the normal viruses and spyware scans none of them picked anything up. I have changed my AV programme from Kaspersky to Avast to see if that was the problem but that did not work either. I have tried different wireless cards in this pc and it?s still the same.

I am now about to load a HJT log up at Bleeping Computers.

Other computers on this network don?t have this problem.

Any ideas would be grateful.

Thanks,

Hi,I?m having problems displaying certain web pages on my PC, whereas my wife?s PC can display them without any problems. One example is doing a flight chevk on the click here site. After typing the locations and dates on the Lufthansa site, it takes you to the next page with availability on my wifes computer but on mine it does nothing, bar a small ?Done? appearing on the bottom of the screen and when I click on this it says something like, ?Done but with errors?. I use Internet explorer but I?ve also tried it with Maxthon and it comes up just the same. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks very much

Answer:Problem displaying certain web pages

Mikey,Some of these sites require a small program called Java to work properly. The site contains a script which the java interpreter on your machine runs to provide the web page. The other possibility is our old friend, the Cookie. The site may require a session cookie from a different site to track your progress through their system. Check that you haven't disabled cookies in your security settings.Regards,Felix

I go to the Yahoo home page and everything is fine. When I select an article, I get a plain white page, yahoo logos randomly scattered around the page, a list of links in a column format and if I keep scrolling down the page, I'll find the article I was looking for. I first discovered this problem when my kids couldn't get to Webkinz. I don't have this problem with all websites. I do have this problem on 2 PCs, but not all. I have a home network with 7 PCs on it. The other 5 PCs work correctly, just not those 2.

The PCs are both running XP, SP2, IE 7. I wondered if it wasn't an IE issue, so I uninstalled 7, and 6 did the same thing. I redownloaded a fresh version of 7, same thing. I installed Firefox, same thing. I reset all options to default/original settings, same thing.

What's the common element between Yahoo and Webkinz. I suspect there may be a clue there.

Thanks everyone!

Running vista HP with ie7 pre-installed. Everything working fine until I wanted to place an order online and I could not get the login screen to download (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage). I have searched this forum and tried most suggestions re this issue but nothing works. I downloaded FF and the required page displays just fine ? I placed order etc. I would like to fix the issue with ie7. But so far none of the solutions work ? odd that FF has no issue but ie7 does ? maybe someone knows what?s causing this?Btw I?ve disabled add-ons and logically (to me anyway) there should be no connection issues or firewall blocking issues as the problem does not occur with FF.

Answer:ie7 not displaying pages but FF is - any thoughts?

It could be your security settings are too high for things like cookie control. In internet options and privacy set the level to default which is usually medium.

My HP 250 running Windows 10 just started this annoying habit. I opened chrome and want to go to sites like watch-the-big-bang-theory-online.com and direct-torrents.com but the page will just load slowly and after loading, the site wouldn't be like the real site, like an only html site with no css. Chrome will show messages like "waiting for maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com, ajax.googleapis.com and font.googleapis.com". Almost all sites that doesn't load get stuck when getting data from this domain names. But when using vpn, everything started working well, but some things am doing like downloading online videos with idm wouldn't work. Also visiting some school site which only accept ip from the country(Nigeria) only would also not load. All this sites are loading well on other computers I have tried. I have tried all possible fixes, like "resetting things with command prompt, changing my dns to google dns, cleaning browser cache, creating a new browser profile, uninstalling chrome, scanning for malware(full scan) lasting for almost 4 hours, and even resetting the pc hoping that will solve the problem". I have tried all almost all common possible fixes but the problem still persist. Please if there is any fix available, I will really appreciate the help.

Hello:

I have had Mozilla for a few months now with no problems and now all of a sudden when I go to certain websites, instead of regular text there are all sorts of weird symbols that almost look like a foreign language. On other websites, the text is mostly normal, but certain places on the website have these weird symbols. The only way I can eliminate this is if I go into "View" and click on "Page Style" and select "No Style". Then all the text is normal, but I don't care for the way the page looks with "No Style". I am used to having it on Page Style so that it looks the way it does with Internet Explorer. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I have begun experiencing a problem with IE6 not displaying pages for any url or IP address entered in the address bar. This occurs when there is an Internet connection (dial up). The browser will display web pages from files on the computer. (Windows XP sr2)

I have concluded that this is an IE related problem, since Netscape 7.2 works properly.

When I open IE6 with an Internet connection, the title bar indicates that my default homepage is (will be) displayed. There is no url shown in the address bar and no information displayed in the status bar. The mouse hourglass icon is displayed for as long as the browser is left open.

If IE is opened without an Internet connection, no dial up dialog box is displayed. This also happens with Netscape.

This occurred after several program updates – Fresh Download (7.56) and Adobe Reader (7.0.8)

Some time ago this situation occurred with a laptop I use. I can’t associate it with any previous program updates. I was able to do a system restore from a much earlier time to resolve it. In this situation I can’t do a system restore. I had, a few weeks ago installed Microsoft Windows Defender, and now the system checkpoints are Windows Defender checkpoints. System Restore will not allow me to do a restore or access restore points in a prior month that had the conventional system check points that were made before Defender installation.
The earliest Windows Defender checkpoint restore didn’t solve the problem.

I need a bit of help here. Just got myself a new laptop and configured it ok for wireless broadband using an ADSL router.

Problem is that on certain websites the page will not load properly at all and, having checked that stuff like Java VM was installed and working ok can't figure out what's wrong. I tried using Mozilla as well as IE6 but the problem is there as well.

Pages are (amongst others)

www.virginmobile.com

and

www.loot.com

in each case I can see some of the links but not others. Laptop is in danger of being chucked outta the window.

Any ideas? Have also reset the settings in Security and Advanced tabs under Tools > Internet Options but no joy.

Cheers

Saint

PS: There are no problems with the sites themselves - they load perfectly well on my work llaptop/network.

I have a Pavillion 22bw monitor. I am running Windows 10 64bit This monitor is one of 3 extended displays, 1 display runs on the onboard video, this and another run on an Nvidia 560GTX. This monitor is connected via the HDMI port. There is a 3/8" gap around the top, left and right of the monitor to the actual display area. The monitor is set to its native resolution of 1920 x 1080 and is running the proper drivers. The monitors overscan settings have no effect on this. Any thoughts?

Recently Microsoft Edge and Explorer 11 are not showing the math website associated with a college course. There used to not be an issue. I'm running Windows 10 and really enjoy Edge, however, if the compatibility with this website is now lost I'll have
to migrate back to Chrome which admittedly I do not care for.

I have a problem displaying pages on another web forum. I can get to the web site, choose major topics, but when I try to read the individual writeups I get an error, "IE cannot display the webpage". It says likely causes: I'm not connected to the Internet (Wrong because as soon as I back up, the webpages are there); The website is encountering problems (I don't believe this either); or There might be a typing error in the address, (Right!). When I use Firefox to go to the site, it basically does the same thing except when I try to view a page/subject the screen is just white, no data displayed and it says Done down in the lower left corner. Anybody got any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but its not easy for me to search at the moment.

When i try to connect to a page i get the message;

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

More information

I was getting problems before i installed the latest IE.

If i disconnect, and reconnect it will let me go to one or two sites before i get the message again.

Internet works fine on my networked laptop and i have tried firefox with the same results.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a link, or help me please.

Thanks

Hi!My laptop was infected with something that kept IE opening up on its own displaying random pages. Neither Symantec Security or Windows Defender found anything, but MalwareBytes found some infections and removed them. I am not sure if I am completely infection-free, though, so I wanted to post the scan logs as per your instructions and see if I am OK. I tried running gmer.exe several times, but it would always crash the computer after a few minutes (blue screen, crash dump). I finally ran it in "safe mode" and was able to get a log file out of it, which I am attaching, together with the other requested scan logs. I hope the "safe mode" scan is enough, if not - please help me run it without crashing the system.Thank you very much in advance!DDS (Ver_09-12-01.01) - NTFSx86 Run by Grigory at 10:33:40.92 on Thu 03/11/2010Internet Explorer: 8.0.6001.18882 BrowserJavaVersion: 1.6.0_17Microsoft? Hi. I have a Lenovo ideapad running Windows 7, and I've had this problem for a few days now. On some websites (not all), the pictures and the HTML/CSS content hasn't been displaying properly, though they used to load perfectly well earlier. And this is the case with all of my browsers, Internet explorer, Firefox and Chrome. Below are screenshots of a couple websites I'm facing this issue with:

AboveTopSecret.com View image: broken page1

Failbook View image: broken page

I first noticed it on Chrome, around the 14th of Feb. So far I've tried deleting the adblock extension on chrome. But when I found out that the issue was common to all browsers, I gave up the idea of deleting all the extensions on Chrome to see if it would work. I tried a system restore to a point in time when it was working fine, but that didn't help. I tried uninstalling Java and Adobe Flash, and re-installing them. but that didn't help either. I tried restarting my laptop and wireless router multiple times. I Haven't installed any new programs since the issue started. Few applications maybe got updated, like Evernote. But I cant think of anything that is messing with my browsers. I tried disabling my AVG antivirus too, but nothing changed. Images are set to load/show by default on Chrome. Haven't tinkered with the settings of my other browsers because it is clearly not an issue limited to one browser. But the websites in question don't open properly in Internet Explorer no add-on version either.

Hi I have a desktop PC running XP SP3. Virgin broadband connected directly to PC via ethernet cable which is not displaying web pages in either IE or Firefox. I open Outlook I cannot retrieve any new mail and I cannot read my previous emails. The content of the message's are missing.

I have opened a command prompt and IPCONFIG and it is showing that I am connected to the internet, but still no page will display. I also have an icon in the taskbar which shows connection.

I had been using the PC and everything was fine. Then my daughter used it and since then I cannot get a page displayed. I asked her what she had done and she tells me that she was using it as normal and turned it off. If she has done anything different she's not admitting it!

I have tried a few times using system restore to get back to when the PC worked fine but that's not working. I know the internet is working as I have connected a laptop which is working fine, as I am using it now :).

I have a firewall running which I stopped and tried to connect again to IE,FF and outlook but still the same thing was happening, so it's not my firewall.

I would appreciate a point in the right direction to get this sorted. I have several emails which contain information I need but cannot access.

ps. I also downloaded the latest versions of IE and Firefox to the laptop and using a flashdrive transferred and installed them on the PC, still no joy.

Answer:IE, FF and Outlook not displaying pages/email

For future referance if anyone has similar problems.

It was Windows messenger, MSN and it's componants which were causing the problems. I'm not sure exactly which one but one of the Live messenger apps. I uninstalled all of them, Live search, Live mail, MSN and others and now I can connect to all websites again.

It would be interesting if someone could explain why something in the MSN live would prevent me from connecting to the net and reading my emails. It will help others with similar issues.

Two items you could try. Go to Internet Explorer\tools\Internet options\security and make sure you have it set to medium. Then go to the Advanced tab multimedia section and make sure "show pictures" is checked. You may also want to clean your Temp Internet files making sure all offline content is selected.

If the above does not solve it then redownload Java VM here.

I have had a friend email me with this problem.

His Internet Explorer has just stoped displaying web pages.

He has removed all dial up settings, modems, IE Software and any thing else needing to be removed.

He then did a complete install of the above including the lastest version of Internet Explorer 5.5 and reset his browser to his internet server.
After all of this he can connect to his provider but IE still will not display anuy web pages.

Reseting the browser, Detecting Network Settings and the other options do not work.

I think at the last count he had tried 3 times with no success.

Any Help?

Answer:Trouble with IE versions not displaying web pages

This is a good starting point in debugging the problem. Be sure to read each suggested fix and rule it in or out.

<a href=http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q175/7/22.asp> Cannot Display Page </a>

The other thing to check for is the existence of a Hosts file. That's Hosts with no extension on the end. You will find a Hosts.sam but that file is ok.

Start>Find>Files, key in Hosts and press enter. If you find a file named just Hosts with no extension, right click on it and rename it Hosts.old

Now try IE

If all of this does not fix it then what exactly does happen when he starts IE. I assume he just get a "Cannot Find Page" message. If they get any other messages other than that one, then let us know what they are.

Since yesterday evening, a lot of websites appear like this (example from Youtube) on every browser:
https://s30.postimg.org/qykc0lzxt/zeze.png

Yesterday I was looking for drivers and I ended up with some bad stuff on my pc, which I scanned multiple times and I removed every visible threat.

I'm not even certain that's the cause because it became like this a few hours AFTER deleting the malware. I was listening to music on Youtube and I remember reloading the page and suddenly it was like this.

I even deleted Chrome at first and I couldn't even reach the download site again because it also gave me an SSL error.

This also suddenly appeared between my listed PC folders and I didn't make any network changes: PVConnect (b-box 3/S)

Things I tried:
Clearing the entire history
Multiple scans
Restarting router and pc
Turning off any antivirus

I don't know that much about browsers and this kind of problems but I would like to get everything back to normal asap!

I have two computers and they are both hooked up to the same same internet. The second computer was pretty old so much husband brought home a computer from work that he does not use anymore. He hooked that computer up and the computer functions correctly. However he is having problems getting online with it. When he logs onto the internet the computer indicates that the computer is on line but on every single page he gets a "Page cannot be displayed" message.

The issue is not with the line because my computer is hooked up to the same internet and it works fine. The computer seems to be in perfect working order and indicates that it is connected online. We were wondering if perhaps there is a setting that is keeping it from displaying the pages or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is this the only page having problems with missing pictures??. It's possible the logo file got corrupted or aborted during the page loading process and is stored in the cache still corrupted. Try opening the logo file directly in a separate window then refresh the main page or delete "temporary internet files" and reload.

There is a standard, that all websites should work on. I've recently had a problem on just this computer with multiple websites not displaying correctly. At first I thought it might just be a problem with firefox, but I then tried on different browsers and I had the same problem. I reinstalled Firefox, Chrome, Java, and Flash but the problem still persists. On some websites its not quite as drastic as others. Facebook seems to have the biggest problem. Here are some screenshots if they'll help:
Here's what happens when I look at my Facebook profile (the black boxes are just my attempts at blocking private info):

Even Google is somewhat messed up:

It's the same with Photobucket and Myspace that I've found thus far. (I don't use Myspace, I just tested the URL when Facebook started acting up).

I tried it with firefox, and the same thing on all three pages.
Any suggestions? No cleaners or anything have been run since.

Thanks
Chuck

Hi. My PC has WinXP SP2 and I have a problem with webpages not displaying properly in IE6. It seems that any site with the ending .aspx won't load at all, i just get a blank page with no error messages or anything to tell me what the problem is.
The view source tells me that javascript is disabled - but its not!
Also, parts of webpages written in Javascript won't display in IE6 even though all the right boxes are checked in Internet Options where Active Scripting and Java are enabled.
Java is enabled in Java Control Panel too.
If i go to Myspace for example, in the area of the page where the music player should be it tells me that either i have an old version of Flash Player installed (i don't, i have the latest version) or javascript is turned off (yet according to the IE6 settings menu, its enabled).
What is causing the machine to override its own settings? I have the latest version of JRE (v1.6 update 5) and windows is fully updated too.

Strangely enough though, i can view these pages perfectly in Opera browser and all the java bits and pieces work just fine. I can play a java game online using opera but i can't play a java game on my desktop because it won't load at all. Does anyone know why this is?

Another issue is that I have Mcafee Security Center which i want to uninstall as its out-of-date, but i can't because this won't display either, all i get is the Mcafee window launching ok but showing a blank screen, again with no error mess... Read more

Hello,

I have a freind that I am trying to help out. He runs a business selling truck parts and he gets the majority of his truck parts off of one site. Recently on internet explorer when he clicks on a link to look at a part from the website it pulls up a blank page and is labled http://Websitesurl.com/blank.html. This never use to happen and he can open up the same website in chrome and click on the same link and it opens up the correct link http://www.websitesurl.com/partslink.html I tried this on other computer and it works on IE on other pc's just fine. I have tried putting IE in compatibility mode and added it to the trusted sites but I still get the same results. I also ran malwarebytes and found nothing.

Answer:Internet explorer displaying blank pages

Do they have the same problems when trying to access other websites with IE.

What version of IE do they have installed.

Try running IE without add-ons.

Click Start
Type iexplore.exe -extoff in the Search programs and files box, then press Enter

I am using a PC running Windows XP (SP3) and Chrome version 38.0.2125.101.

For a few months now, Google Chrome displays text in a hard to read way.  The problem is the spacing between letters, e.g. a bigger space after every "w" right now; not sure if the problem is stable (sometimes the "e"s get jammed next to whatever letter they're next to.

The problem is NOT unsharp rendering of fonts.

I have tried:  changing the font settings; updating Chrome; restoring all the settings to the default settings; enabling or disabling DirectWrite.  None of them affect the problem.

Oddly, no matter what I do, all text is displayed in Arial.  That's true even if I change the font setting to use Times New Roman for standard, serif, and sans-serif text.

Thanks for ideas,
Roger

Hello!

I've been running into a text display issue with my browsers. When I go to a certain website (eg:www.nationstates.net), all it displays is just a weird arrangements of letters, numbers and symbols. This was from Chrome, and the same issue persists in Edge. At first, I thought that this was an issue with my browsers, so I uninstalled them and reinstalled them (including extensions). However, this did not solve anything and I am not sure what to do.

Also, this problem extends to the 'new tab' page on Chrome and google.co.uk (both of which do not display properly).

My operating system is Windows 10 Home Version 1703 Build 15063.447 (64 Bit)

Not sure if this is a MS issue. Default zoom setting for Edge is 125% but Outlook email is suddenly really tiny in size despite Edge showing 125%. The right hand 30% of the screen is now just empty white space. If I change it to 100% and back to 125% then it corrects until I close and reopen Edge. No other tabs are affected.

Answer:Outlook suddenly displaying at wrong size in Edge

This is what I am seeing.

HI all,
I just had my computer restored and put some more memory and a new graphics card in it. It is a Ati Radeon HD 4650 Sapphire. The colors are more vivid, Graphic intense pages load faster. Only problem is some Websites like Facebook for example.... seem to be displaying in standard resolution. The stuff that normally is over on the right side are more toward the center. Leaving blank space on the right. Now, I have to say that I had a problem with my picture when I first turned on my computer. My stuff was going offscreen on the left and there was a little black space on the right so I went into the settings and manually drug the screen over to the right a little. So I may have screwed it up. I don't remember if my monitor had a disk. Should I look for one? If I take it back to default it may take the left side off screen again so I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks

Answer:New Graphics card displaying Internet pages smaller?

ok, I'm back since no one responded. I am gonna add a little since maybe I wasn't clear. On the left and the right On Facebook as well as some other sites There is about 2 inches of Blank space where normally there is text/ links. This isn't the worst prob I have though as I just had someone fix my computer and it is already crashing.
Thanks,
Rhonda

Hello - I have a user here at our company using IE 11.  Occasionally they will go to random websites (MSN, etc) and the text of articles or adds will show up in non-English languages.  But then the next time they visit the site, it's back to English.
Or when they go to a USA based site, it will redirect them to a different region/foreign language version of the site (Japan Airlines in USA Region/English will send them to JapanAirlines.co.jp with Japanese language text).  On her Windows 10 Enterprise
machine, her local region is set to United States and the language is English US.  Oddly enough, if she goes to google.com it stays and doesn't send her a google.com overseas site.
I'm thinking this could be a Windows thing as this also happens occasionally to random websites in FireFox.  Though I also checked all the language settings in FF and everything is as it should be.  I also ran a Malware scan and nothing was detected.
Any thoughts?

I bought this computer a year ago and it came with Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1 and then 10. Today, I formatted my hard drive and installed Windows 7. This has caused some issues, such as with drivers.

Chrome is not displaying pages as it used to. Text is poorly aligned, often the wrong font, and there are these boxes appearing:

Here is how it displays in IE:

I have already checked encoding and it was using Windows1252 and I changed it to Unicode and nothing changed.
It's not a driver issue either as I already updated drivers and everything works fine in IE.

Alright so, I'm new to TSF I've been putting up with this internet issue for a couple months already and it was a real pain registering my account when hotmail takes forever to load. So I'm gettin sick of it and need help. I had alot of viruses at one point but I took care of them by reformatting my pc, however I think they mightve messed up my internet connection because I've never had a problem with it until they arrived. Now all of a sudden the pages are running VERY slowly, sometimes they dont even open up, or some parts of the page arent being displayed, I get the "Page cannot be displayed" ALOT, often need to refresh the page 3+ times for it to fully load, videos I stream online wont run until I've refreshed alot of times. Alot of sites I've completely given up on just because they dont work at my pace, hotmail and myspace are some examples. I have DSL connection

I appreciate any help, thanks!

Hi guys,

I am using Windows 10 on my Samsung laptop, and I ended up downloading a corrupted file, which infected my computer.
Initially, none of my browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer) would even open up, so I downloaded several malware removal tools (rkill, malwarebytes, adwcleaner, CCleaner) and ran them.
My browser does open up now, but Chrome keeps displaying random advertisements throughout my net surfing and the virus is blocking me from accessing certain websites including here, bleepingcomputers.com. (Error Message: "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.") and even preventing Windows Defender from running. ("To allow this app to run, contact your security administrator to enable the program via group policy.")
What would be the necessary step I should take?

Thanks so much, everyone!

Hi, I'm new to this forum as well and I couldn't read this thread without posting a reply since I have a similar problem.
I have four computers(three of them with XP SP2) and on one of them, a HP laptop with XP Home edition SP2, the browsers suddenly stopped working.
I use IE7 and Firefox and they both behave the same. The browser-window comes up blank and after that nothing happens. It doesn't give me an error, it just keep on trying...
I haven't had any viruses that I'm aware of and I am very careful regarding patches and updates. I thought that this might be a local firewall problem on this computer so I temporarally turned it off but that didn't help.
My outlook mail and other software that connects to the internet works fine.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks!

2. Mozilla Firefox 35.
3. Yandex Browser (latest to this date), which is made on Chromium engine.
The problem:
So, I've uninstalled my Avira Personal and installed Ashampoo anti-virus... and my Yandex Browser stopped displaying pages, completely any. Is this an application conflict? Does someone have had the same one issue?

Please help. You can contact Ashampoo SIS by that and post their description at here.

When I open Edge, I'm getting some malware/virus that is telling me that I have a Security Error 0x00759B and that I need to call some number immediately to get the problem fixed.  I can't close out of the session except with Task Manager.  If I have this session open, I can open another instance of Edge and use it without a problem. I called the Lenovo, the manufacturer of my pc, and they said that this is definitely a virus.  Can someone help me with removing this virus?  I'm currently using McAfee for my anti-virus software and I ran a full scan, but it didn't find anything.   Thank you.Edit: Moved topic from Windows 10 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

After downloading Windows 10, and therefore receiving the MS Edge Browser as the default browser, I am experiencing a problem when I search in Google ... the search results are not displaying correctly. At the far left edge the results are displaying one word per line. How do I fix that (or is Microsoft gleefully ignoring it?).

Answer:Google search results are displaying at far left of the screen in MS Edge

I notice that Microsoft Edge is displaying Google Search results exactly the same as Chrome. I see no difference. I am unable to duplicate the issue of one word per line at all.
Perhaps there is an issue with your installation of Edge, or perhaps it needs to be updated to the latest version of Edge?

Hi,

You guys are my first port of call with this problem, so be gentle!

I seem to have developed two distinct bugs, possibly at the same time, possibly its having the first big which has led me to discover that the second bug has been there a while. It's very possibly virus related but I'm open to suggestions.

1. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox both do not display web pages.
My router is working fine, my connection is fine. MSN Messenger is online, World of Warcraft is online. My Wii is online. Everything is fine EXCEPT that when IE or Firefox come to display a page I get

"Internet Explorer Cannot display the webpage"

Oddly it seems that I AM negotiating my way through the internet on my browser to some extend because if I click on my mailbox in MSN messenger I can see that IE jumps through a series of internal MSN connections within Hotmail then dumps me out when it comes to actually display a webpage at the end of it.

Diagnosing the connection shows no problems, and suggests I try typing 'www.google.com' again without any typing errors. Not too helpful.

After running Malwarebytes scan, and an AVG scan, and them both coming up clean, I decided to do a System Restore.

2. System Restore isn't working.
The application seems to work fine, in I go, blah de blah, click next, select a date to restore to, click next... and nothing happens. No hourglass, no message, just... nothing... as thought the button isn't live.

I've a feeling... Read more
