Edge - website loading issues

Question: Edge - website loading issues

Hello All,
Since yesterday I have been issues with Edge, where this happens every 5 minutes where it hangs then auto refreshes than shows the error below (on the left) either that or the page fails to load completely after appearing to load.
On the left Edge, on the right Firefox (which is still a memory hog ).
Any one else having the same issues?
The only thing that changed was I had to reinstall HP's AMD W8 drivers under compatibility mode; furthermore installing the latest WU updates did not resolve this issue.

Preferred Solution: Edge - website loading issues

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm having a bizarre problem on my Windows 10 PC.

For some reason, lots of image thumbnails won't load (particularly PNG files and AVI files), which is extremely frustrating. Sometimes it shows the file type icon, sometimes a generic file icon, and something literally nothing at all.

In addition, if I right click on an image file, and choose "Open with...", explorer freezes and I have to restart it in Task Manager.

Also, Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations perpetually loads for me and I can't set it.

I reset my PC about a week ago, I've tried this solution, I've done check disk and repair disk, and I can't seem to find a solution.

I use thumbnails while I work constantly, so this is a huge detriment to my productivity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For some stupid reason my clients website does not load properly on Edge. This is their website: Waterproofing Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Grimsby St. Catharines. The banner image always gets cropped out. I don't see the issue in Chrome/Safari/Firefox.

Can someone help me with this?

I have a website, I am trying to get to work in edge. I made a website, and it is hosted on my internal server via apache running on Mandriva Linux 2010.1, on virtual box, on Windows 10 (which is the physical machine's OS).

I tested this website in Internet Explorer, by going to the main page, opening it in Internet Explorer, and then clicking the hyperlink to go there. It works from there. I tested in firefox and chrome, and it works there too. But it won't work from edge.

I found out the reason: edge is coded to make the page redirect from http to https, and I don't want it to run over https, and it is not set up to run over https. What trick either in my webserver or in edge's configuration can I use to get around this? Or if that's not possible could you tell me how to get the same content working over https, without having to deal with certificates or anything, and no warnings about certificate errors? https is not really needed for this website, because it's just a list of hyperlinks to other pages.

Hello. I have been having some recurring problems while web browsing. IE/Firefox become unresponsive a lot. When clicking on different web pages, for a few seconds between pages, images and graphics from pages viewed many pages ago will pop up and disappear. This usually is accompanied by the browers becoming unresponsive. Also, just lately youtube videos either will not load at all or will be extrememly choppy because the download will hang. I have run quick and full scans with Microsoft Security Essentials and nothing has been detected. Here are the logs instructed to post. I have Windows Vista 64 bit so I did not include that last log. Thank you.

You can make IE-11 the default browser in Edge. Look under All Apps and you should see IE-11 there and then can Pin to Start, Desktop, or Tray. Then go to Settings/Defaults and select IE as default browser.

You can also make Google the Default Search Engine with Edge. Hamburger icon upper right and go to Advanced Settings. You will need to copy the Google URL into the space provided then make it default.

Hi!
I am facing a weird issue with the YouTube website on the Edge browser. When I bought the laptop a month ago, it was working fine until two days back. My McAfee AV trial, which was bundled with the laptop, ran out and I uninstalled it. Since then only the YouTube website is looking all scrambled up. Please take a look at the attached screenshot;
What could be the issue? Any solutions for this? Ironically, the YouTube site is working fine in Internet Explorer. Please help!

My problem is I find MS Edge does not always react the same to sites that appear to have website certificate error problems.

The following two url's are basically for the same site, due to a change in the name of the government department at some or other stage.

Daily State of Dams

Daily State of Dams

Both sites offer a facility where one can display data accessed from a database in a map form. One can display the latest data for the most recent date in the data base which always works. But on the one site (the official new site), DWS Landing Page), choosing a previous date to the latest on will just display a place holder instead of the map,

yet on the older site, it will display a website certificate error message, which then allows one to proceed anyway and then get the map.

Can anyone offer an explanation why this is please? Iin other words why does MS edge not routinely display the error message instead of a place holder?

Further, using another browser such as Chrome will offer one an option to display the image in a separate window which then allows one to see the image. This facility is not available in MS Edge consistently. Any reason why not?

Hi.  Brand new computer, 4 days old.  Still loading it up with stuff from my old laptop.  Removed Norton with the removal tool and installed Eset Smart Security.  Very little else installed yet.

I need to go to the Australian retailer Coles reasonably often.  Chrome is my preferred browser.  When I try to get to the website I get:-

www.coles.com.au unexpectedly closed the connection.

Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics

Connection is fine, can get anything else I want.  Firewall is not on as I'm running Eset.  Diagnostics is as useless as ever and says it can't determine the problem as usual.

HOWEVER, if I use the Microsoft Edge browser, no problem - straight to Coles.
Anyone hazard a guess as to why this is the case?
thanks

Edge loads to a blank screen and after 30 seconds or so disappears.
I've restored back to a restore point before the problem started and that doesn't work either.
I've searched for fixes and the most recommended is deleting the specific packages directory then reloading Edge using Powershell. This doesn't work.
If I go into Safe Mode without Networking I get the message "Microsoft Edge can't be opened using the built-in Administrator Client".
Any ideas please?

I ran the recent update for Windows 10 and since then when I click on Edge and do a search it comes up with a list of websites ok. However when I click on one of the links to open it I get "Hmm, we can't reach this page. Try this: make sure you have right address or refresh page." All links were working fine before I ran the update. I have exactly the same problem with my daughter's laptop. All searches work fine on anything not using Windows 10. Any ideas??

When using any version of IE Explorer, when viewing a webpage and want to create a desktop shortcut to that webpage I would simply right click just about anywhere on the webpage and select Create Desktop Shortcut from the drop-down Menu and Presto a new icon shortcut would appear on the desktop.

However, when using MS- Edge, when I Right Click on any webpage all I get is a small drop down-down menu with no selection to create a Desktop Shortcut. Please don't tell me that MS has removed this feature in Edge and I am just missing something or there is a flaw in my system. I have tried every which way to create a Desktop Shortcut of something I am viewing when using Edge to no avail.

Answer:Creating Desktop Shortcut To Website When Using MS Edge

I'm with you on this one!
So far the only way I have found is to add the page to a reading list by clicking the Star at top right, selecting Reading List and then Add.
It's not ideal but it's better than nothing.

Another roundabout way is:
While viewing your wepage in Edge,

Click the three dots at top right
Choose Open with Internet Explorer

Now you can create your shortcut as you were used to. The shortcut will open in Edge if that's your default browser.

Hello everyone,

First post here and thanks for allowing me to be a part of the community!

My first question is while attempting to pin a website to the task bar in Edge I followed the directions and selected the "3 dots menu" and then selected "open with IE" option as instructed.

When I click on the webpage icon in the task bar the site indeed comes up but it is in Internet Explorer rather than Edge. Is there any way I can pin the site to the task bar and have it launch in Edge rather than IE? I understand it opens in IE because I opened the website in Edge and then told it to open with IE.

When I tried pinning the tab to the task bar in Edge I got the universal red circle with the line through it so I couldn't pin it unless I opened it in IE.

Ive noticed when I pin a website to the Start Menu that it will open in Edge. Is it not possible to have this happen by using the task bar?

Thanks so much for your help.

Appreciate interacting with you folks very much.

best,

rick

Just recently Edge has been giving me an error message stating "There is a problem with this site's security certificate" when I try to log onto my work site remotely. I know the site well, have spoken to their IT department and have been assured the certificate is up to date. I have verified my computer has the correct date and time. I have tried accessing the site with MS IE with the same results. There is an option to ignore the warning and proceed anyway, but nothing happens when I click it. Fire Fox allows me to get to the website and log in, but then it seems Citrix will not allow me to access the content. I had previously been able to access the site and its content with Edge. I am not aware that anything has changed on my computer and the IT department for the site I am trying to access notes that they are not having any problem with remote access when they personally log on, and have not received any other calls about problems. They note multiple users are currently logged on. They insist the problem is in my computer. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I am currently running W10 Pro version 1511 on a Dell machine with Intel Core i7 920 @2.67GHz and 8.00 GB RAM. 64 bit system. I use both Fire Fox and MS Edge as browsers both of which are up to date.

Hello,
So, I've got two separate, but somewhat related issues. One has been going on for a year and still hasn't been resolved (posted about it before) but I have some updated info, the other one is new.
AsHere I go ....

1. Can't Connect to the Internet
I all of a sudden could not connect to the internet. As my wireless isn't working currently, I used a wired connection. I am using that wired connection right now on my work computer that I am messaging from, so I know it isn't a modem/router issue. I have removed all the anti-spyware that I had and only installed Avast!, I re-installed all the drivers, and I contacted my internet provider. In troubleshooting with the internet provider, we tested the ping for www.google.com, which didn't work, but when we pinged the numerical ip address, it did. The same thing happened when I opened my browser. The representative said that the IP address was not being resolved by the DNS (is that correct)??? Anyways, that's where I am at - how do I resolve it so that the IP address is resolved?

2. First, for some extra background, please see the thread from a year ago that I had posted:
http://forums.techguy.org/networking/663585-wireless-issues.html
Here's what I posted initially before:
I have a Compaq Presario R3440CA with a Broadcom Wireless card. I used to be able to connect to my wireless just fine. Now when I try to 'Find network connections', the error comes up as follows:

I am having a terrible time trying to get google.com and my gmail hosted web-mail to load at a normal speed or to even load at all. I have tried both Edge and IE. I am trying to stick with these two to take full advantage of the new features in Edge. I am also having delayed loading of other sites, like this one - it takes 10-15 seconds to get the body of the site loaded, otherwise it is just the top "bar" that loads and then just hangs with the blue background only.

What could be the problem? Is anyone else having this issue? Same problem with my SP3. I am very frustrated.

Answer:Edge and IE Not Loading Google and Other Sites Normally

To me win10 is running and loading sites faster than windows 8.1, not sure what your issues are.

Is your internet connection stable, is your video driver stable?

Hi everyone,
I have this code that works excellent with any browser but not with Edge 14 on windows 10 mobile (Lumia 950)

Code:
if (xmlHttp.readyState == 4 && xmlHttp.status == 200) {
            manageProfileIframe.setAttribute("src", "data\:text/html," + xmlHttp.response);

In Edge on mobile, the Iframe shows:
hmm, we can't reach this page.
Try this
Make sure you?ve got the right web address: data:text/html,<!doctype html><html lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org
Refresh the page
Search for what you want

You're not connected
And the web just isn?t the same without you.
Let?s get you back online
Make sure you?re not in airplane mode.
See if your wireless switch is turned on.
Go to network settings

==============
xmlHttp.response is very simple, has the header and a simple paragraph in the body

Thanks,
Alex

Just completed a clean install on a Lenovo Via Nano-based netbook (blow, fan, blow...) prevously running Win7, activated using previous credentials via the genuineticket.xml method. The ISO source is the same one that I have used on several other machines without problems.

After installing the OEM (Win7) drivers and going online to activate, I launched Edge to download Classic Shell. It started up with two tabs - one MSN, the other the "Start" tab. Each lingered for a few seconds, and then displayed the canned "this page is having a problem loading". Each tab then closes and the browser shuts down. Even using Edge as a PDF reader produces the same scenario.

A friend with a Lenovo i7 P50 Thinkpad with Win 10 factory installed. Creators Update installed via Windows Update a few weeks ago. Called me last week reporting that he could no longer view web pages using Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or IE. I checked event viewer and saw one of his music creation programs was using a proxy server that was failing. I uninstalled the program and he was able to access web sites for a week, then yesterday the problem came back but no related errors in event viewer. Opening up a CMND window I could ping and tracert any web site without problems. His e-mail works. team viewer works. The web browsers will not connect, hang sometimes, and when closed and exited can still be seen running under task manager or process explorer. I get an error message saying the program can not be terminated when I try to kill it with process explorer or task manager. I ran a half dozen or more antivirus / malware programs which only come up with PUP's and one or two malware not related to this problem. NO proxy settings seen in the browser / internet settings. Running ipconfig /flushdns /release /renew doesn't help either. Suggestions appreciated. - Steve

Answer:Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and IE all fail to connect to any website

Just a wild guess, is that computer by chance using any kind of proxy service or HideMyID service provided by an installed AV or Internet Service package by any number of free or pay-for products?

I put about ten shortcuts onto my desktop, such as ones for eBay, Google, Amazon, etc.; however, they all have Edge's standard blue icons. This makes the whole group appear as a monolithic bunch of icons that all look the same and not so easy to read. Is there a way to change these desktop icons to the various websites' favicons, making them easier to see/read/use?

I think that you can right-click a shortcut, then choose "Properties," then click on "Change Icon." However, from there, I'm stuck, because it offers me the option of browsing to the icon I want, but I don't know how to get to any favicon that I might want.

It's easy to find those websites' favicons, using Google images, and I can then save them onto my desktop, but I don't know how to get them from there onto their relevant shortcuts. I think there is a cache, called something like "shell32.icon" or whatever, which holds icons, but I'm not sure if that's anything I want to mess with, because I'm fully aware that messing with those kinds of files can lead to disastrous results, such as the computer freezing up, the 'blue screen of death,' etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a real head scratcher here. I am a member of "myfitnesspal.com" I can log in and load the site but, when I input an entry for meals I get a page of gobbledegoop which I will attach. This is in all browsers: Chrome, Edge, IE and Firefox. This was not the case when I joined a few days ago. It just started yesterday and only on my laptop using Windows 10. It is all OK on my PC in Windows 10 and also works fine in my Linux OS's. I've cleared cache and cookies. I've shut down and restarted modem and ASUS router. I've shut down and cold started the laptop. To my knowledge I haven't made any conscious changes.
One more oddity: I can close the misbehaving tab and use Ctrl Shift T and the page loads as expected; gobbledegoop gone.

Question: Website loading

Trying to use library catalog and it won't load. All other features of the website load. Message says oops! page is missing. That is wrong. What causes blocking? I turned off pop-up blocker.

Answer:Website loading

Hi geegogo, and welcome to TSG.

Some public libraries (like mine) use a separate service on a different server for their card catalog. It is possible that the other server may be down for one reason or another. You can check if your library is doing this, go to the library web site and see if the catalog link goes to a different URL.

Not sure what's wrong with this thing.

Most all websites load fine and without difficulty.

Ebay loads fine and without difficulty.
I can log in fine.
Only when i click on "My Ebay", which is the central hub for buyers and sellers, is there a problem. On Internet Explorer, it just loads indefinately until it states it can't load. On Mozilla Firefox, it loads for a while... then comes up with "You have chosen to open "eBayISAPI.dll" Which is a: application from: http://my.ebay.com"

it asks if i would like to save to disk or open with firefox... If i open with firefox it just comes up to a blank screen and says "done" at the bottom.

It will save to disk.. but then it says the file is empty.

Have entirely reinstalled IE... was on 7... same problem on 6.
for that reason i believe it may be malware related... ran and fixed w/ spybot S&D... here is my HJT log.

Hi guys, I'm running Vista Ultimate with IE 8. There is just one part of a site that does not load for me. It is a link to my son's football results site from The F.A's site. I have done a full delete browsing history and reset IE, I have rebooted my router, I have installed firefox, I have disabled Norton Internet Security 2009, and dropped Windows Firewall and still the part of the site refuses to load. Other friends & family can access the links so I believe its something wrong with my PC. The bit I am having problems with are the 2 Tameside links from the following:

Does anyone have any clues what could be going wrong. Your help would be gratefully recieved.

I hope someone can help me as I am completely stumped by this problem. I recently upgraded my Antivirus (Kaspersky-from 6 to 7) and firewall (to another version of Zonealarm Spyware) and the trouble's began. I did the upgrades on one desktop and one laptop, and now both of those PC's are unable to connect to any Kaspersky website, as well as my third PC, which I did not perform any upgrades on. The third machine doesn not even use Kaspersky Antivirus. This error occurs with IE7 and Firefox
I assumed that perhaps the issue was with my wireless router (as that is the only tthing the three machines have in common) so I contacted my ISP and they elevated my query, but they could not provide a solution. I have flushed and re-registered DNS, removed all cookies, temp files, stored pages, IPCONFIG renew/release, reloaded firewall and antivirus, and checked the HOSTS file. I can ping www.kaspersky.com with no packet loss, but I always get the same result when I try to access their website (from any of my PC's): "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
I'm ready to start drinking heavily as this has be completely stumped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance!

I want to see if this issue is just my computer, or is it universal.
When using Edge, I find that loading websites, or advancing pages, is very very slow. It would appear that most of this occurs while the pages load all of the ads that I never read. Trying to read a simple article takes far too long because of this.
Maybe this is because of all the ads, or maybe it's an Edge issue, or maybe it's my computer ( least likely situation ).
If others have seen this, have you found any solutions. One of the greatest offenders is the MSN site, but Windows Central is also sluggish. Most of these sites are large, and established. Also, my download speeds are quite fast ( over 100Mbs ).
Your thoughts will be appreciated.
Tim

Hi everyone,
I have this code that works excellent with any browser but not with Edge 14 on windows 10 mobile (Lumia 950)

Code:
if (xmlHttp.readyState == 4 && xmlHttp.status == 200) {
            manageProfileIframe.setAttribute("src", "data\:text/html," + xmlHttp.response);

==============
xmlHttp.response is very simple, has the header and a simple paragraph in the body

Thanks,

Hello:

Recently Microsoft Edge takes nearly 30 seconds to load the Google.ca page, whereas Firefox loads the same page in less than one second. This is happening on 2 workstations and one tablet in my household and there is a mixture of Ethernet and Wifi connections, but it happens on all three machines. Microsoft Edge is also slow to display Google search results as well, and general internet surfing.

It seems to have gotten worse recently. Can anyone please assist, or does anyone know what is going on, other than Microsoft Edge simply sucking? I also know that it isn't the fault of my internet connection. Please see the image below.

When I try going to one particular website in IE it will not load. When I type the URL in and hit submit, it says "loading http://nytimes.com..." but it gets stuck in that mode, and after waiting several minutes it will not change, and the IE window is just a blank white page. I look in Task Manager to see if there's a "Not Responding" title, but it says it is "Running."

It's not a problem with my internet connection, because I can access all other websites with no trouble. And there's not something wrong with the website server itself, because if I get on any other computer, it loads in a snap. It's just on this one computer that this particular website gets stuck in the process of loading.

How is that possible? I thought maybe this PC had a firewall blocking this one website for some reason, but doesn't a message usually pop up telling you the site has been blocked by a firewall? What could be the culprit here?

Answer:Website loading problem

Try adding the website to your Internet Trusted Zone. Open your Internet Explorer options, under the Security Tab, Trusted Zone, Sites...

Also,

Refresh your DNS (Sometimes negative DNS may give errors on specific sites)
By following these steps:

Start >> Run >> cmd

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

Click Start, then Run and type CMD in the dialogue box that appears, and then click OK. Type netsh winsock reset into the DOS window that appears.

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. Click Start, then Run and type CMD, then type netsh int ip reset reset.log.

Answer:Website loading problem

If you go to your own link and look at the URL you will see why the page fails to open - there are two sequential URLs and the browser is confused by this. If you delete either, the other works as advertised.A URL will normally consist of www.(NAME of SITE).country only once.

Alright, so. I have been visiting this one site for a good four years now and all of a sudden (three days ago) the site started loading extremely slow (40-60 seconds for each page). All other websites load as they normally do, but this one site has been lagging.

Both my laptop and desktop are experiencing the same issue. When I googled for an answer, someone had said it may have to do with the router and to change a few letters on the router MAC address (something about visiting the site too much on both computers and causing confusion somewhere along the connection). I did so and got knocked off my internet, but I thought it was going to work out anyways since another option was to reset the router (which I did). Still though, this one website won't load. I talked to members on the forum and the forum heads about if there were any server changes, but they said none and everything was working fine on their end.

I was also using IE, so I downloaded google chrome, yet I'm experiencing the same problem. And I emptied the cache and cookies.

Hopefully this all makes sense... thanks!

OK... I'll try to explain things as comprehensive as possible. Hoping for a good answer.

So my current network is simply like this: internet(modem)->router->computers. My desktop is wired to the router while all other computers connect to the router via wireless. I use the desktop.

1.) Most of the time, if not always, when I try to load up a website, I always get a page not found error (in any browser) until I Release/Renew the DHCP on my router. HOWEVER, it's not always a guaranteed load!
1a.) Take note that this actually happens with any site, even Google and Yahoo, and even bleepingcomputer.com!

2.) However, when that specific domain loads, anything loaded from that domain will work fine.

3.) After an idle amount of time of not loading anything from said domain, however, things will start to mess up again!

4.) When I connect my computer directly to the modem (thus cutting off the internet from the router, thus all the other computers connecting through the router couldn't connect anymore), everything works fine. All sites load properly and if they don't, it's because they ACTUALLY DON'T (e.g. site is down, I blocked it, etc).
4a.) In fact, I had to connect my computer directly to the modem just to be able to type this message up :/

5.) This then leads me to conclude that it's the router's problem. HOWEVER, apparently for the other computers in the network, they've never had this problem at all! I used my netbo... Read more

Hey... I'm a IT Supervisor and a sys admin for a company. I've starting to run across alot of complaints saying that when any user tries to use Internet Explorer 6, the computer will pull up IE, but when it tries to load the default website, IE thinks about it for about 5 minutes then gives a "Page cannot be Displayed" error. This even happens on my computer. I have Firefox installed on my computer and it never exhibits this behaviour. At first it was just a few people and now it's spreading to even more.
I've looked through the MS to no avail. Has anybody else come across this issue.

All computer are Running Windows XP PRO, except for a few servers and they are running Windows Server 2003.

Hi, when I visit one particular website, it doesn't load JavaScript or stylesheets properly, and ends up with white background Times New Roman etc.

All other websites work perfectly. Interestingly, it's not just this computer that does it, my laptop and Android phone do it too - but only when connected to my network. Using another WiFi or my phone's connection the website loads perfectly.

The main page loads fine, it's just the forum. Other forums using the same software work fine too.

Viewing the source, something has added "http://www.cazed.com/" before the URLs of the stylesheets and scripts in the header for the forum. The main page doesn't use an external stylesheet. But it can't be a virus or spyware, as my whole connection is affected. Weird.

Believe me I know if works as I have tried it on another host and it works ok.BH now tell me that the fault lies with Level3.net Does this often happen, and is this the cause do you think?click hereMany thanks for any help from you guys,

Answer:website not loading properly

if your site files are on the Bluehost server in a proper site directory they should load in a browser. I've looked at the site, and the symptoms point to files not being in the locations linked to, although the pages are loading without any styles being applied.

Answer:Problem Loading Website

Hi [email protected]

do you have a popup blocker installed by any chance? If yes, try temporarily disabling it to see if the images can be previewed correctly. Also, if you use a pre-compiled hosts file, there's a chance that the server which hosts the images is blocked so that's another possible cause.

Also, some firewalls are able to block web based images so perhaps try disabling that temporarily too.

Has the problem always occured or something you have only recently noticed? Prior to it starting, did you install any new software?

I have a farliy new laptop every once in a while when I open another tab and go to a website it won't load and if I try to close it I get a message saying "this window is busy. closing this window might cause problems" so I wait then after about 5 minutes I close it. So I thought it was the computer.
Today I got a new desk top and I get the same thing. What could it be the wifi?? or is it windows 7 this never happened with my old desktop running XP

Answer:page loading/ website

When you say it wont load do you get an error message at all? Does refreshing the page (F5) cause the page to load?

I assume you are using IE, I would suggest Chrome or Firefox.

Pages failing to load can be caused by the wifi, if this is a frequent problem you could try changing the channel your wifi uses. Some routers have a feature that will autofind the best channel with the least interference.

Hi.

I'm having a problem loading www.chess.com on one of my computers. It works fine on my laptop and phone and up until yesterday had been working fine on this computer as well. Without changing anything, to my knowledge, the website suddenly stopped loading properly. I have tried it in multiple browsers and have taken the usual steps of clearing the web cache etc. I have attached an image of the website as it loads and would be happy to provide more information.

Thanks.

Flush & register DNS

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD then press Enter to open a command prompt box (A new dialogue box - black with white font, will appear on screen ):
In the command prompt window that opens, type the following commands:

Ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/registerdns

If you receive the message
The requested operation requires elevation.
Then please open the command prompt as administrator
Start> All Programs> Accessories and then right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.

now type the command again

I have Windows 7 and use Mozilla Firefox browser. There's one news website I check frequently. For about the last week when I go there, an old version of the page loads. At first I thought it just hasn't been updated, but that's not the case. Through trial & error, I managed to get a current page loaded, but when I go back later, it's the same old (previous) page. I deleted cookies, don't know how to delete history for that news site only (if that would even help). This also occurs in Chrome. What to do?? Another issue has popped up within the last week too. When I click on Facebook for the first time after signing on to my computer, the screen changes back to my desktop screen with the little slowly spinning wheel for a few moments, then goes back to Facebook sign-in screen. That doesn't happen with later visits to Facebook. Any suggestions?

Answer:Old version of website loading

Update: now the news website doesn't load at all. Just a blank white screen.

My default browser is Firefox (44.0.2), I also run IE. Using Windows 7 Ultimate. I try to view the website ( World of Tanks Free Online Game ), but it does not load. I tried on both browsers, and I tried loading it via private browsing. Unfortunately, none worked. I have also tried clearing the history, cache, and all cookies, but the problem persists. I tried the website on my laptop, and it worked just fine.

I've searched on other forums and found one suggesting to delete the address from a Host file. I looked into the Host, using Notpad, but I could not find it there. I have also looked into the Firewall, but I did not notice anything out of the ordinary unless my eyes missed something.

I use ESET Smart Security 8 and Spybot for protection. Could they have prevented the site from loading? Any ideas/solutions?

One particular website I always visit, now does not load properly.

http://forums14.consumerreview.com/[email protected]@.ee7a124!RANDOM=8340111

I can load this link when I first start IE6. Then, after the third link I click on, the page stops loading and I get "Error Loading Page" in the bottom of the browser.

I have Netscape 4.78 and it works fine.

I suspect it may have something to do with my history or the cookies for this site or perhaps temporary Internet files.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A little over two weeks ago, justin.tv just stopped working for me. If I just go to justin.tv it won't work. But if I load my homepage it will load. But even if I do that the videos/chat/fourms won't load for me no matter what. Since their fourms won't load for me I am having one hell of a time finding some help.

I've tried everything I can think of. I've used Firefox, Chrome, and IE. Cleared my cache, temp files, reset my router, reset my router settings..I even called my ISP thinking they might of blocked it.

I'm out of ideas. Help please?

Hi. The past few weeks websites have been opening very very slowly. The firefox load will sometimes show it's continuing trying to load for 20 minutes. But if I stop and refresh it will load right away. But it keeps happening again and again at many different websites. I did a speed test and it's what it should be. I'm not getting any strange popups. Spybot and AVG are clean. I do have occasional problems with pop email where, similarly, I have to stop it and retry and then it works. Thoughts? Thanks.

I've been having trouble loading many pages while using Edge after I updated. For example, when I go search something on Google and try to click one of the links it gives me, Edge hangs for a second, then refreshes the page. Then when I try to click the link again, Edge sends me to the "This page is having a problem loading" page where it says "We tried to load this page for you a few times, but there is still a problem with this site. We know you have better things to do than to watch this page reload over and over again so try coming back to this page later.". This doesn't only happen on Google but on other sites as well. I know it can't be Google's fault because I can click on links and it sends me the site properly in IE and other browsers. Is anyone else having the problem? What's wrong with Edge?

I am experiencing a weird issue in Edge with Flash enabled. If I try to load any page that has Flash content, Edge tries to reload the page twice and afterwards it gives me the following error message:

Answer:Edge + Flash enabled = This page is having a problem loading

I take it you have the following settings in Advanced Settings for Edge:

I am able to open the page you linked to without any problems using these settings and see the bouncing cube.

With your Flash setting OFF do you see the bouncing flash cube? If I turn my flash setting OFF it stops this working for me which is as it should do.

I have a IBM Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E320, it has a manual install of Windows 7 Home Premium. All the official Lenovo drivers and software have been installed correctly. I am using the application Lenovo System Update. It is downloading and installing the application "Thinkpad BIOS Update Utility -US-" It downloads OK, and then gives me a dialog box asking if I want to either "Update the Model Number" or "Update the BIOS". I select the option to "Update the BIOS" and I get given the following message ... "Driver loading failed. The Utility cannot proceed." You then get the option to click on "OK" and the whole thing closes. Could anyone please suggest a fix for this, ideally a legitimate way of doing it rather than a weird quick fix. But if there is no other alternative then it might have to be a weird quick fix.  I have tried Google-ing the problem and looking at various sites and forums, but no-one really seems to know the answer to the problem.  Any help or guidance would be really appreciated! So thank-you very much in advanced!!

Answer:Thinkpad Edge E320 - Driver Loading Failed

Good day and welcome to the community.

You can find the available BIOS updates in your Driver Matrix. There is a choice of an updater that operates from within Windows and there is a bootable CD image. I prefer the latter method.

Is there a specific issue you are trying to resolve, or a new feature you need, by updating the BIOS?

Regards.

The asp.net website is configured to use Integrated Windows Authentication and hosted locally on IIS\localhost.
When I try to access this website the windows authentication pop-up appears.
Moreover no chance to remember my credentials. If I restart Edge and open this website than authentication form appears
again.
At IE and Chrome the user is automatically authenticated without any windows authentication form, no issue.

In addition to that I played with "Internet Options\Local Intranet" and "Internet Options\Trusted sites"
and "Logon options" ("Automatically logon only on Intranet zone", "Automatically logon with current user name and password". Nothing helped.

Any ideas how to suppress this annoying authentication dialog?
