Preferred Solution: colour red not printing

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: colour red not printing

The print head nozzle for Red is probably plugged up. Are you using genuine Kodak ink? Do you use the printer regularly? That means every few days.Try running the cleaning process a couple of times. Looks like the printhead is removable. If the above doesn't work then remove the printhead and run it under hot water in the kitchen sink. You will see the different color ink come out by moving the water stream. Rubbing alcohol can also be useful to clean the bottom of the printhead. Use Q-tips. See the link below.http://resources.kodak.com/support/...

Hi Allhope someone more knowledgable can advise - I recently purchased a Lexmark x500n multifunction colour laser printer - I had a big black print job to do excel and word - 2000 pages - i was shocked to see that - ok the black starter cartridge of 2500 pages was nearly empty- fair enough - but all three colour cartridges (1500 page size) were nearly all empty too - I hadn't done any colour printing but when i contacted the manuf they advised that the printer uses colour also to print black!! - it's getting returned to them - but do do all colour lasers do this - obviously this quadruples the costs of printing and has put my costing out of the window!! - any advice would be great - it's a network colour printer, with copier and scanner that I need - a fax would be great but not essential.thanks in advanceTrifly

Answer:COLOUR LASER - PRINTING BLACK USING COLOUR!!

That would pee me off no end. How in God's name can it use colour to create black when there's a black cartridge in there? A cheapo mono laser seems to be your ideal tool. I know nothing about colour laser printers, but is there an option anywhere in the settings to print using only the black cartridge? Does the printer still work if you take out the colour cartridge while printing only black text documents?

Hi there,When printing anything on my computer in black, my printer seems to smudge whatever its priniting (ie there is streaky lines across any text or lines I print)But when prinitng in any other colours it works perfectly.I'm going to change the black ink cartridge, but I dont have one to replace it. So as a quick fix I want to print everything in blue (coz it comes out nice and neat). I thot this would be quite simple, but when printing a webpage I can't find any options that could allow me to change the automatic colour to blue.Does anyone know how to do this?Any reply would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer:Printing in a different colour!

Don't think it can be done unless you save the page locally and edit it so that it is blue rather than black.Have you tried to clean the printhead?

Question: colour printing

I have tried to print colour photos on photo paper using a HP5652 I get a yellow picture. Yet if I use plain paper I get a proper picture. I am using a photo ink cartridge as well as the colour cartridge. Any suggestions I have tried in vain using different settings and photo paper.

Answer:colour printing

From what you describe it could be the paper'setting on the printer or some close to it.If you visualize it for one moent youet set up the printer to print either on plain paper or photo paper- you do dont you?If you dont investigate the printer set up protocols.Assuming you do- then as far as the printer is concerned, and assuming all colours are workingas you infer they are[good picture on plain paper]then it would not matter too much if you fed the print a shredded wheat packet- it would not affect ink delivery.By the by the best mode for colour photos, not with standing the paper type or brand - Ink Jet Transparancy - it is also very economical with the ink.

I have a hp deskjet930c and when i go into toolbox and then ink levels it shows that the colour cartridge is at 50% but when i print it only prints in one colour(blue) the other two colours are missing, is it just a duff cartridge or is there anything i can do?

Answer:Printing in only one colour

Try cleaning the cartridge I think you can do this within the tool box.Failing that if you have been using the other colours a lot you will find it is empty and just needs replacing. It may be showing 50% as you still have blue in the tank.

Question: Colour printing

Hi, how do I get the colours I see on my monitor to print as seen. I always get a difference between what I see and what is printed. Any help would be greatly received.

Answer:Colour printing

Adjust your monitor first using a program like click here then try again. You may have to alter the printer settings for colour as well. The type of paper you print on and the ink will also make a difference. You will never get a perfect match as one is reflected and the other transmitted colour.

I have 2 Epson printers - Stylus Photo 890 and an R200. I use the 890 purely for documents printed in black text and the R200 for all colour documents and photos. When I started this way of printing the 890 colour cartridge was half full. It has gradually gone down and tonight has registered empty, resulting in the printer stopping altogether. Is this to be expected or is something wrong with the printer?

Answer:Printing B/W uses colour ink?

This the fact. Straight printing will use all colours, even when in black.Printing balck only can be achieved on some modelscheck printer properties for a black only button. If you examine a 'black' print under a M/glass you should see evidence of the other colours fringing the black image

Answer:problem printing in colour

We have no idea what application you are having a problem with. You say that you can print in color if it's a PDF, but you don't say what type of documents won't print in color. e.g. Word? Excel? jpg? etc.?Typically, you can choose Color or Black & White/Grayscale from your printing preferences. Have you tried that?Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.

Hi all,I have a Lexmark PRO901 here which is refusing to print in colour. I have installed brand new colour cartridges which are definitely seated properly. The printer is reading that the cartridges were full when I put them in, and after I tried printing and photocopying a few things the levels have gone down, which I'm guessing is inaccurate considering not a single drop of colour is on the paper. I have updated the firmware to the latest version and that has done no good. I have tried printing from Windows 7 and Mac OSX for good measure, but, unsurprisingly it made no difference.I've also tried cleaning the heads, aligning and every thing else I could see.I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks,Luke

I have an HP Photosmart printer C6180 "All in one". It is a very good printer but uses the five separate colour cartridges at an alarming rate. The first job I did (With all cartridges therefore full)was to print a 250 page book in black, but I found that although the black cartridge coped well, the book had also used up half the yellow cartridge! Does anyone know why this is and what has the yellow cartridge to do with printing in black?

Answer:Why does black printing need colour?

Best ask Printer Manufacturers, I think it's so they sell more ink. If they have a full Black cart then it should use it not mix ink to create a dirty brown

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and an HP930c printer. One day last week I selected the black and white option when printing a document. I have never done this before. Although I have checked that the colour option is now selected, I just cannot get a document or test page to display any colour. I have tried two brand new HP original cartridges. I believe the problem must relate to the pc, as opposed to the printer, since the printer was working fine until I opted to print in black and white. There must be another box to tick somewhere, perhaps?

Answer:Colour printing stopped

Load a color document in the application (Word etc.) and check the print preview. If the preview you are getting is B&W then check the application's print settings. If the preview is in color then check the printer settings.

I decided to try the 'black ink refill kit' instead of buying an expensive cartridge, only to find now my printer only prints in colour and when i try and print in black, it prints in light purple!?
i have installed the vista software from the HP site, then eventually found the manual online and worked out how to clean the printer head, did that and wiped off the cartridges and their holders, got all excited, tried to print and it all printed in light purple again
I just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to why this might be doing this, do i just give up with the idea of refilling the old cartridge and go and buy an expensive new one??

I have also just checked the ink levels on the computer and the colour says full, but the black says empty??
I definitly filled the black up..
any help would be much appreciated..

Answer:HP 1317 all in one only printing in colour..

The reason the printer says the black cartridge is empty is that it uses the chip in the cartridge to estimate ink use. It doesn’t measure the ink directly. With my old HP there was a procedure online for resetting the ink level without a chip resetter, but I have no idea whether the procedure still works. http://www.misterinkjet.com/hpreset.htm

I refilled HP printers for years with good results. The color was more difficult with HP, but the black was a snap as long as you didn’t puncture the inner bladder on the cartridge. I would suspect the ink you used. It has to be a pigmented black for the large black cartridge. If you use a dye based black meant for a photo printer you might end up with purple appearing text.

It might also be mixing colors to get black. My HP drivers all had a “black only” sub heading under grayscale. That setting made it use only the large black pigmented cartridge for everything. Graphics were crappy because of the low resolution of the pigmented cartridge. But it saved the colors for printing where I didn’t need good graphics. You might check to see whether your driver has that setting. If everything is still purple you have problems with the ink.

I have used MIS ink for years in both my HPs and Canons with very good results.

Answer:problem with colour printing

I think you can leave the scanner out of the argument.Something is out of joint either with the parameters of the saved file or the printer's software.Assuming you don't have an "out of ink" problem check the size and saved format of the file.Again: Has anything else been changed recently? If its not the file, and not an ink problem you may have to re-install the printer drivers, but do check that it will print Windows testpage first.

ok, I seem to be having problems with this.I have just finished a leaflet in college on Publisher 2003. It is in Red and Black. I have to now make a print of ONLY the red Items on the leaflet. When I try, an error comes up saying "Publisher can not print this publication." It goes on about it could be that the printer is set to Postscript Language Level 1. And that it will only work if it is set to Postscript Level 2 or more.I followed the instructions on how to change it. With the HP 1310 printer, the instructions did not fit. I could find nothing about Postscript. With the HP 1220C printer, the instructions took me to where Postscript should be, but there was no Postscript in the Advanced Options.I took it home and tried on my printer. An Epson Stylus (forgot the number). Again I could not find anything with Postscript.SO. question is. How on earth do I change the postscript for these printers? If I cant do it, I fail my course. even the tutor dosnt know :(

Answer:Colour-serperated Printing

Your printer has to be enabled with Adobe Postscript technology - of the three printers you mention I would suggest that the HP1220C is the most likely. It would have to be the HP1220C/ps model. It looks encouraging, because you say that the instructions took you to where Postscript should be - it could be shown just as PS level. You could try downloading the postscript drivers to update the postscript capabilities - hopefully you are on XP as I don't think it will work on Vistaclick hereGood luck in your project

how can you print the same colour as the screen

Answer:printing good colour

That's your worst nightmare!
First you have to calibrate your screen and then you have to calibrate your printer and then possibly make some further minor changes.
In reality, it's close to impossible to get a perfect match, but you can come close.
Calibration equipment goes from around the 100 mark and varies in quality. You need to do a lot of research if you intend to go down that road.
Any change in ink manufacturer means you start all over again!

When printing from all bar one of the PC's everything works fine but for some reason one of the Win98 machines has suddenly stopped printing in colour, no matter what printer is used.

Just moved over to Vista Home Premium. I have installed the printers and original software; also Vista downloaded up to date drivers for it.
Now when I want to do double sided printing, there is no option in the properties. In XP the option was in the Finishing tab. I do note that the XP screen on another PC labels the printer HP 2550 L PCL whilst the Vista one says HP 2550 L PS. These I believe are two different printer languages/configurations.
HP help desk tried to help but no success. The agent is ringing me back Friday to see if you have any suggestions to offer. HP Forum no help so far.
Now, I also have a Samsung colour LJ and tried to print from that d/sided but all it did was print the even pages and showed a red light.
Could this be a problem with Vista 'cos after the three problem filled days I've had so far I'd readily go back to XP!!!

Hi Boy Zone,I've experienced similar with my Epson printer and assuming you have already done the obvious and cleaned the print head, it may well be worth checking...* The printer driver settings - I've noticed that turning off some colour handling features of printer drivers can go a long way to improving what you see printed out to match what is seen on screen.* Likewise, if you are using something like Photoshop Elements you may find a hidden away option that is changing the colours when an image is printed compared to what is on the screen.HTH.

I have just acquired an HP colour laser jet CP1215 and am happy with it so far.Just a slight worry that when printing photos can I use the same photo paper I used with inkjets or will it somehow mess up the laser printer. I am worried that the inkjet photo paper might melt or something on the rollers when the toner is fused on to the paper.

Answer:Photo printing with a colour laser

I have an OKI colour laser. I find that if I use glossy paper the toner rubs off. It refuses to stick to the surface and with the slightest handling the image is ruined. It didn't damage the printer in any way - but proved to be a failure.I now use 160 gram injet quality super white paper and get good photo results - but not quite as good as my Epson inkjet.

The default printer settings are stored on a per-computer basis. Try deleting the printer connection from your laptop and then adding it again. If that doesn't work then it may be that the printer preferences on the other computers are set to something other than the deafult settings.

I have a Samsung CLP-300N colour laser printer.I have been asked to print off a load of doubled sided pages, with average text and a small amount of red.Any idea what would be a charge that wouldn't see me out of pocket?Any advice will be thankfully received.

Answer:Cost of printing for a colour laser

Assuming you pay roughly 30 for each colour cartridge with 1000 page 5% cover and the same for black with 2000 page cover - if it were me I would charge 6p per page - hence double sided would be 12p per sheet of paper. This would cover the cost of just the toner and 80 gm paper - wear and tear, electricity and your time are other factors to take into account. Why not ask your local Staples print shop what they would charge as a guide.

I have a canon printer i865 and after the inital canon cartridges had run out, i only replaced the black cartridges with non manufacturer or alternative and cheaper cartridges. Now, when i print out colour photos, it seems that the black or darker areas of the photos are faded and washed out, is this due to the replacement of the cheaper cartridges??Previously i encountered no problems when i printed colour photos with the Canon cartridgesplease advise and help!!!

Answer:CANON Colour Printing Problem

Buy a Canon Black cartridge and put it in, if your print quality returns to normal after a couple of runs, you have solved the problem. If not, try cleaning the heads, but my guess is that the 3rd party cartridge is not up to craik.

I am using a Lexmark Z42 printer. I put in a new photo cartridge yesterday for the first time and printed of 3 or 4 pages of photographs. The colours were very good (just as they appeared on screen) and I was very happy with them. However I removed the photo cartridge to do some other printing and today when i put it back in to print some more photos, the colour is all wrong.Skin tones are very green looking and backgrounds which should be orange are also a washed out green.I have done all the alignments and cleaned the print nozzles.A test page shows that all the colours are printing.Any suggestions?

Answer:Poor colour on photo printing

This sounds like the magenta cartridge jet is blocked. I don't know the Lexmark, but if it has integrated heads like the HP, stand the cartridge on a sheet of absorbent paper such a kitchen roll, and see if you can get the ink to start flowing.

I am reproducing copies of my artwork on to A4 photopaper with the intention of placing them in the centre with a broad border all round for placing in an A4 frame.I have two HP deskjets, one a 930C and the other a 3550 . Using the facility in various software programs, including HPs own software, the image is always placed a few millimeters off centre and is useless for an A4 frame.I also find that the output colour is quite different to what you see on the screen. I do no expect perfection but I would like a reasonably close comparison.Does anyone please have a solution to these two issues.I have been in touch with HP but they cannot help. Many thanks

Answer:Colour and Image positioning when printing.

To get the colour the same on the printer you will need to set up a colour profile for the monitor in the first place. Then create a colour profile for the printer. Some artwork packages include the facility to do this i.e. Corel but for others you need to either buy a package or pay a third party to do it for you.

when I try to print anything from my epson stylus photo 900, I get a magneta horizontal line which is evenly spaced throught the document.I've tried nozzel cleaning, helped a little bit but came back as bad as before.I've tried realinement, but to no avail.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling software and up-dating drivers.I've taken the cartridge out (colour one) and found that one of the magnenta section was swamped with ink, so cleared this with a pit of asorbment paper (toilet roll) and cleaned inside the casement bit. and made no difference. At this point I'm not sure weather this is a issue with the inkjet head and it's kackered or weather it's just a carridge problem?I ponder this because it started signs of the magneta line at the end of my last cartridge, and I changed to this one. Which has sat on my desk for a little bit, because I made a mistake of taking it out and replacing it when it was 1/3 full, but it did seem to work o.k at first.any suggestions or is my printer knackered?

My HP 959C is now nine years old. It has been a good workhorse but I found this morning that it will not now print in blue. I have three spare colour cartridges and changing the cartridge has had no effect. I have cleaned the contacts and also tried to print from another PC with the same result. Two questions1) Any thoughts on corrective action?2) What recommendations are there for a replacement printer? I have also a dedicated photo printer and a separate Canon scanner. I am not averse to a combined scanner/printer unit.

Answer:HP 959C printer not printing blue colour?

This is a 'Thermal ink jet' with the 'heads' in cartridge so swapping these around would rule out a simple cart failure. Trying on another PC rules out data corruption seeminglySo the safe assumption is the printer has had its time.Which to buy?Well if you are used to the peculiarities of HP look in that direction. As you have a dedicated photo printer and a separate scanner- perhaps a cheap general purpose printer will serve.THe world is your oyster constrained only by depth of your purse.Allinones can be finicky to use and if the printer goes down you lose also the scannerI have currently 3 such each a different brand that have discarded as broken by others - in each case I have got them going- and actually use them as a 'Swap-out' service among my 'Flock'

Hello,

I have a Sony Cybershot 3.2 Megapixels camera which works really well.

My problem is that when I go to print photos, my printer prints out weird colours - very much like sepia but with some other colours here and there. The colour bears no resemblance to the original!

Is this a matter of changing settings somewhere or do I need to install a different driver. I am now operating off XP and the printer (Epson Stylus Photo 700) has been around since the old Windows 98 days.

I don't know very much about these things so I'm hoping for some help from your good selves ( in layman's terms wherever poss please).

Thanks in anticipation

I have two desktop computers, one running Vista Home Premium and the other running XP Home. These computers are wirelessly networked, with an Epson Stylus Colour 600 printer connected to the XP system. I can access shared files that are on the Vista computer from XP, but not the other way around. If I try to do this I get an error message stating that the folder isn't accessible, that I might not have permissions, and that there isn't enough server storage to process the request. My main concern, however, is that I can't acces the XP printer from Vista. It shows up in Network, but I can't connect to it; it says that the network name is unavailable. When I drag a file on to the printer, I get the message "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000709). Make sure that you have typed the name correctly, and that the printer is connected to the network."

Does anybody have any soloutions to my problems?

I cant do it from the print driver thus me asking if i can do it from within the application. Any thoughts would be great. thanks in advance.

Hi there gurus.
My pc doesn?t show certain colour objects in Publisher 2007 and some on-line sites. Overall, the screen colour is very good. I know the fault is localised, because when I switch to Print Preview in Publisher it looks fine and I can see all the object colours. (I only lose the colour with objects, not text)
Also, when I send a copy of a Publisher page to my partner who is on the same PC, it looks fine on her screen.
I?ve tried going to Install/uninstall programs and run the Repair, but to no avail. The guys in my computer shop are clueless without seeing it. Anyone who can help solve this for me is a gem.
Cheers!

What's cheaper: colour laser with genuine ink or colour inkjet with compatible inks?

I'm happy to invest in buying a colour laser: but I can't find any refills for lasers
At least they don't seem to be widely available

So, my choice is: colour laser + genuine inks or colour inkjet + compatible inks

From what I know, side by side: laser's are cheaper
But, how about when compared to genuine laser ink to compatible colour inkjet inks?

I should stress that for me needs, I am not overly concerned if using compatibles doesn't give me perfect results - just close as possible is fine for me

What's more important probably is speed of print at highest quality

ANY feedback would be great

Thanks

Answer:What's cheaper: colour laser with genuine ink or colour inkjet with ink compatibles?

Finding Compatible Remanufactured Color Toner cartridges can be dicey. While they may be available, the problem may end up being the company tht does the remanufaturing. It is also dependant upon the model printer you get. I have noticed that the savings on my Black Canon X-25 toner cartridge is only about $12 lower than the cost of a Factory original cartridge. There are sites that I would save up to $30 per cartridge, but part of this is eaten up by the shipping charges. For my toner cartridge, I am about 1/2 mile from the store that does nothing but ink and toner refill services, and their garauntee thier cartridges 100%. In 3 years I have only had to return one cartridge and it was an HP #17 Color cartridge.

Now per page printing cost on a laser is much cheaper than on an inkjet. Though the printer cost itself is usually much higher for a Laser. Personally I use the laser much more than than my Inkjet, but I do use the inkjet for all color printing. But then 95% of my printing is monochrome text.

Hi, I'm using the Aerolite theme with Aeroglass, and want a consistent colour for the borders. So I set accent colour from background 'off' and choose the colour. Fine so far.

Now that's ok if I log off and on.

But if I sleep or hibernate (not personally ) and then resume, the colour and setting are lost.

I noticed that on resuming, the border colour is present until the 'Please wait' screen appears, after which these settings are lost.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello.

I seriously need help with my PC. I've reinstalled Windows XP and Service Pack 2, and I can't chnge the Screen resolution or the colour quality. It sucks. The resolution stays at 800x600, the lowest possible, and the colour quality stays at 8 bit. I think I have a ATI 128 MB DDR Radeon 9800 Pro. I dunno whether thats a driver or what. And I also don't know my graphics card, or whether that will help at all.

I would swear at this point but I'm too young.

Oh but I'll use this instead

Has anyone got any help for me that I can understand. I'm 14 but I still can understand most computer talk.

Anyway thanks very much for reading all this crap and please try not to point out all my spelling mistakes.

Okay, it has to do with your drivers. Go to ATI's website and find your driver.

Here's the link

Please download and install both the Control Center as well as the Display driver. Then restart your computer and try to change the resolution.

Greetings,

We have a DL380 G4 with two dual-core Xeon processors clocked somewhere between 2.8 - 3.2 GHz, and 4GB DDR2-ECC RAM (two sticks). This is a relatively new installation and deployment of Windows 2008 R2 x64 with the latest updates and service packs. The Print Services/Manager role is installed.

When printing through the Windows server to a Lexmark X340 in the office, it takes an unacceptably long time to print the jobs. When printing directly to the Lexmark X340 (instead of a shared local queue that exists on the Windows server), print jobs happen fast and normal. The employees have been timing how long it takes to print through the Windows server:

2012/1/18 Wednesday, 11 invoices = 10 minutes
2012/1/19 Thursday, 17 invoices = 21 minutes
2012/1/20 Friday, 24 invoices = 3 minutes (when printing directly to the Lexmark instead of going to the Windows server)
2012/1/23 Monday, 19 invoices = 25 minutes

This symptom is applying to everything the employees print -- not just the invoices or print jobs generated by the business program that we use called Britannia.

In addition to printing through the Windows server, they have to press the green button on the printer to actually have it print the current job. If they print directly to the printer, it prints automatically without requiring the green button to be pressed. I have tried setting the print processor to RAW [FF Auto] but it did not resolve the problem, so I set it back to RAW. Both x64 and x86 drivers are inst... Read more

I never had this problem before I purchased Vista, but I get some vertical stripes on the right edge of the paper. These stripes correspond to the lines of words, meaning if there is a line of words then there's stripes but no stripes when it's a blank line. (I got these exact words from another poster that had the problem exactly to mine except I have Vista and it prints when I print online on EVERY page) - just as it says above. I have an HP1018 that did not work until finally HP put out a driver for Vista a few months after I bought my Vista machine. I've tried the rotated feature, the fastres1200 as well. Nothing has worked yet. HELP! (I use Internet Explorer)
Oh, also, it prints these black vertical lines if it's a picture OR text and ONLY ONLINE - gmail, ie pages, etc. It is fine with Word, etc.

I have been using a network capable HP LJ 4050T, which i added an HP Network card too, for years as a network printer. I dis-connected it and moved it to a different location and now i can not get my pc to print to it.

I have win 7 64 bit. I have tried the universal drivers and the drivers built in to win 7 mainly HP Laser Jet 4050 PCL 5 and or the 4050 PS driver (all of which work for at some point in the past, but now no longer will do the trick). After installing the driver i can get the printer to add to the list of devises and appears to be installed correctly. I can ping the printer however when i try a TEST PAGE it will give error message "Error - Printing" very generic.

Frustrating thing is that i have this issue every time i disconnect the printer, it takes multiple tries getting it to connect (i.e. installing drivers and uninstalling, rebooting, re-setting settings etc.). I work at it for hours and then what seems to be by luck something i previously had done will work this time, or something i found online will work. however this time I've tried all those things and others without success. It almost seams that i have to trick the computer till it lets me print to it.

In the past i was able to get my Win XP laptop to print to it as well but i have not been able to re-connect this for over a year.

Answer:Printing Error When printing to my networked HP LaserJet 4050

When you disconnected the printer did you turn both the computer and printer off and disconnect both from the mains power supply. There is no reason why they should not talk to each other if everything is turned off before one or the other is moved as it would be no different from turning them off, not moving the printer, then turning them back on again.

You don't say whether the printer/computers are hard-wired or wireless networked.

Have you tried going into a program like Word and hitting Ctrl-P and telling it to search for a printer? If the driver software is on the computers it should connect.

You need to delete everything that is in the print queue. The best way to do it is first open the RUN command. Then type in SERVICES.MSC.When the box opens up, scroll down to PRINT SPOOLER. Right click and chooseSTOP. Then open up the PRINTERS folder which is usually in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOL.Open the PRINTERS folder and delete the files in it. You then must go back andrestart PRINT SPOOLER.

One of the Windows components in Windows 7 is the Internet Printing Client. Maybe it was there in Vista or earlier, but if so I never noticed it. I've discovered in the past the Microsoft (and other companies) often use 'Internet' as synonymous with TCP/IP. Is that the case here?

I never print across the Internet-but I do have several printers on my local network that use TCP/IP. And I know it's easy enough to remove this client & see if I can still print to my printers-but it doesn't seem like I should have to figure things out by trial & error.

Do you know whether or not this 'Internet Printing Client' is needed to be able to print to any TCP/IP printer, whether it's actually on the Internet or not? Thanks.

Ok so were using this POS software called Counterpoint. and we used to print our labels, which include the item description, and a barcode for the item on each page to a laserjet 2 printer. Now we have upgraded the printer to a Laserjet 1022n, and the barcode parts are coming out all jibberish. The text for the item description comes out fine, but the barcode parts are jsut a bunch of characters. I changed the printer type in our software from Laserjet II, to Laserjet compatible 150DPI, and am getting the same results. I'm not sure where the problem is here, and will appriciate any input. The other settings in the Software remain unchanged, such as Lines per inch, and characters per inch. i'm not sure if those need to be changed as i'm not sure how it would affect the barcode.

Bit difficult to answer as you do not say what printer you have but it would appear that you had or still have documents in the "Print Queue" If you open the queue you can cancel all the waiting docs!
Try thiss:
With the printer switched off, open a document and click Ctrl + P (Or File then Print) This will open a window telling you to check that the printer is connected. Somewhere on that small window should be a button that reads something like "Print Queue" or View Print Queue". Click that and in there you will see a list of docs waiting to be printed. There you will be able to delete them. The queue builds up when you have a problem when the printer doesn't print for some reason, either it has got disconnected, is not switched on, is out of ink etc. You keep pressing "Print" and nothing appears to happen but the queue just gets bigger and bigger. When you get the printer working again it automatically prints all the docs in the queue. Moral to the story. If you have a printing problem always check the print queue before proceeding!
EDIT Please make sure you come back here and let us know if the above works for you or not as I notice from your previous threads that despite expert help you never give any feedback. You will get much better help if you at least come back and report if the solution worked!

Any thing I print off the Internet looks like jumbled pages of alphabet in no random order. A one page document will end up being 12 to 15 pages of junk. I can print from pdf off internet and printed document looks great. Also printing from documents, mainly Microft Publisher, looks great. Help! I dont want to have to wipe the hard drive and then reload everything. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated

Answer:internet printing looks like jumbled mess, printing from doc

First insure you've got the correct printer-driver installed (likely so, since you can print other documents). You may also want to try using a different browser and see how the printout from those are first (if it's OK, then likely something in your current browser has gone awry). If that doesn't fix things, you may want to try to reinstall your printer drivers..."Channeling the spirit of jboy..."
