I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: can Directx 5 version work with windows 7

Virtual PC has certain requirements. The version of Windows 7 and the capabilities of the CPU. Many laptops, for instance can't run virtualization. Look at the link below for requirements. Virtual PC allows you to download and install a special copy of WinXP, not Win95. I suggest the instead of trying virtual PC you first try running the game/s in a Windows compatibility mode. Go to Control Panel> Action Center. Choose Windows Program Compatibility Troubleshooter. Then follow the onscreen prompts.http://www.microsoft.com/windows/vi...

XP SP2 Home Edition with all the latest microsoft updates.
Video drivers are also up to date. I've upgraded them several times since the problem appeared doing a clean install with drivercleaner pro each time.

I need help with a directx problem. This started months ago. The problem is that certain games do not recognize what version of DirectX I have installed and tell me I need to upgrade despite having 9.0c.

Here is a screenshot of DxDiag, showing my DirectX version as well as the error message generated by a game when I try to install it: http://img489.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dx22nj.jpg
When I do try to upgrade, the installation fails. I have tried reinstalling 9.0c with both the web and redistributable version as well as of the most recent updates to them and I get this error every time I try to install as soon as it first begins to search for components to update.

"An internal system error occurred.
Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX log in your Windows folder to determine the problem."

A friend and I have scoured the internet for a while looking for a fix to this problem. We've tried various suggestions such as using a program to uninstall DirectX and replace with with 8.1 off the XP CD. Unfortunately that didn't help anything and the installation error remained when we tried to upgrade back to 9.0c. I reverted to a system restore point righ... Read more

Hey! I'm having problems with installing DirectX 9.0c!

I would like to try this method to fix it. But I can't find any DirectX9.0b! Do anyone out there know where I can download DirectX 9.0b full version/package!? I've goolged everywhere and tried limewire and I still can't find it! I've been looking for 3+ hours! I'm about to go crazy! :dead:

I HAVE A SOLUTION!!!!

Well it worked for me anyway.

You need both the 9.0b and 9.0c full versions. both around 30Mb each. Unzip both to respective temp folders. then copy and paste the following from 9.0b to 9.0c:

dxsetup
dsetup32.dll
DSETUP.dll

next you need a direct x uninstaller. i used dx eradicator from majorgeeks.com, bu there are plenty around

once done simply run dxsetup in the 9.0c version (which would be the one you copied before right) and it will install using the files from the folder it is in. and there you go you have installed directx 9.0c.Click to expand...

Thanks!

This is from a program called System Information for Windows -

This is from My Comptuer/Properties -

And this is from the command dxdiag -

Answer:What version of DirectX do I have?

There is a real easy way to figure it out. What OS are you running? XP can only have DX9. Vista can have DX11 but you have to download it with SP2. It wont work unless you have SP2. Win7 comes with DX11 by default.

After installing 9c I had major problems with it so I did some sort of rollback thing within the registry, now im not really all that sure on what it did but now when I go into Dxdiag, it says under the version number "Not found" so I tryed reinstalling 8.1, and it still doing it, and so I tryed 9c again and that just crashes before the installer starts, so I got the directx control panel thing and it says I have Directx version 0.0, now i saw a thread on here after searching and it was saying if you had 0kb oem*.inf files it could freeze things up, so i did a search and didn't find any 0kb ones....so im really lost here and everything is starting to crash, like IE6, all my games, and Im sure it must be Directx related....Im also running Windows XP pro, on a 650mhz

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Thanks, Doobs

My Win2000 sys will not install the newest version of DirectX. I?m trying to of course play some games and they will not open due to not having DirectX 8 or higher. I?m getting error message:The enter point Ddentry1 could not be found in the dynamic link library Gdi32.dll. I have installed and reinstalled the latest version but still no luck. I have also gone into the Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag) and it shows all the .dll?s as version 5.3 instead of the latest 9.0. The DirectX install states that it is complete but it seems that all the dll?s are not updating to the new version. I have also uninstalled the reinstalled the games with no luck. I have also tried all the fixes found on Microsoft.com. What next? ThanksLT

Answer:Directx Will Not Update New Version

Hi Lady T, welcome to BC.The .dll file versions listed on the DirectX files tab in dxdiag do not designate the installed version of DirectX.In other words, the dll's will not be version 9. Most will be 5.03 -6.05, depending on the installed version. To see the version installed, look on the "System" tab of dxdiag near the bottom. That tells you what version you have. It would seem however that a particular version of "d3d8thk.dll" may be the issue.See this thread for a possible fix specific to Win2k posted by "Jon".

The version of DirectX you can run is determined by the video card you have. Yours can support up to Directx 11 so yes you can.

Answer:How do I download a newer version of directX ???

the books are the unextracted files. you need to go into the folder that you extracted the files into. once you're in that folder there should be a "setup" icon, click that and it should start the installation.

otherwise try this one ,it is a .exe version (not a .rar version), it should install itself once clicked on.

good luck

Answer:Changing to a lower version of Directx?

1.SOme games right now don't currently support directx 11 fully just yet.
2.No you cannot not have 2 different versions of directx on your pc as one of the current direct x program installs will overrun, override and replace the other one.
3.I recommend you download directx 10 which is highly supported these days.

Also post your specs so that we cann see what is really going on and hlp you out more.

Is this a problem that can be solved with a clean install? Or any other ideas?

Hello, I have a corei3 3.10Ghz second generation processor which comes with an intel HD2000 (sandy bridge) internal graphics memory.
When I was used to use windows7, I installed Directx 11 but it always showed 10.1
I searched online and people said HD2000 wont support DirectX11.

Few months ago when windows 10 came online, I upgraded my OS. and Suddenly my directX version is 11.1.
I tried running "dxdiag" quite a few times and it was 11.1 without any doubt.
Infact it seems like few games that didnt run on my pc before, are running fine now.

What happened? Is it really directX 11? or its just showing that?

So I was wondering whether it was necessary to "update" DirectX after a fresh install of Windows 7 with SP1 included, or is the latest already in SP1?

Answer:Latest version of DirectX already included in SP1?

You may want to do the update, but it would be to install some older DirectX components that Microsoft didn't include with Windows 7.

I suggest using the redist (redistributable) version, rather than the Web update. It's a moderately large download, though. I think that the latest version is June 2010.

It may depend on your GPU. That is, it might only be compatible up to DirectX 10. Do you know which video card or onboard GPU you have?

How can I get directX 12 back?

Thanks

Answer:DirectX version downgraded to 10.2 after game installation

You still have DX12. GTA IV only uses up to DX10.1 though.

If you want to check your DX version, open start and type dxdiag, then launch the program that pops up. Keep in mind that DirectX Feature Levels could be lower than 12 based on what video card you have.

Hi all.

here are the specs of my machine.

I have windows XP SP2, AMD K7 processor, Nvidia Geforce FX5200 with 128MB ram, 512MB ram with 219.29MB free, 224GB HD, DirectX 9.0c.

One of the games I am trying to run is "Requiem, Avenging angel" from 3DO.

I have played games on PC now for the last 10 years plus. I still have a lot of my older games which I used to run on my old machine running Win 98b with the older DirectX versions. I would like to be able to keep playing them, but games which use DirectX versions older than 7 cannot detect DX 9.

I have heard of some software which tells (lies to) the software that the version is what it wants. If this software exists or if there is any other workaround I would be very interested in any help at all with this issue.

If I insert a disk, there is a quick flash of a window opening and closing, then nothing. Trying Start>computer>right click on the dvd drive>play gives me a window that says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item".The disk I was trying to play works fine in my other computer. I would greatly appreciate any help with this. Thanks.

My wife bought me a new pc 3 years ago which came with a preloaded copy of Vista 32 bit home premium. I never received a dvd copy of Vista with this computer and I'm looking to upgrade to windows 7.

Which version of Windows 7 do I need to buy? Am I out of luck because all upgrades to windows 7 require a previous disc to verify things? I don't wanna come home from my local computer store only to find out that I can't upgrade to the new OS because of my preloaded software.

Am I stuck buying the expensive retail version of Windows 7 Home Premium or can I opt for the upgrade package and save some $$$?

Anyone can shed some light on this for me? It's greatly appreciated!

Answer:Which version of Windows 7 will work?

You can only do an "upgrade install" from your current version of Vista to an equal or higher version of Win 7. For example, if you are running Vista Home Premium, you can do an upgrade install to Home Premium or Ultimate, but not Home Basic. The version of Win7 must also be the same type - 32 bit to 32 bit in your case.

You can install a fresh copy of Win7 from an upgrade disk to any version of Win7, but you won't have your settings, files and programs preserved. You will have to reinstall all drivers and programs and restore backed up copies of all your files (back up before starting the installation). Windows saves your files in a folder called windows.old on the new install, so it's not the end of the world, but I wouldn't rely on that 100%. (say, if the install went south partway through...)

In your case, I'd recommend Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade (both 32 & 64 bit included, use 32 bit install disk)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re.../dp/B002DHLUWK

Or if you have a student in the house, you can probably get a discount through their institution. I got copies of Win7 Ultimate for ~$80 through my school when I was a student.

Hi guys, I have problem with BSOD when playing dota 2 (it rarely happens, but it gets annoying when it happens). I also have the same problem when playing resident evil 5 version dX10.

attachment attached.

thank you for your help,

Answer:BSOD when playing dota2, resident evil 5 directX 10 version

You are running a Fujitsu Product ID (PID) on a Vvikoo board.
This makes your installation counterfeit.
Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.

Code:
OS Configuration: Standalone Workstation
OS Build Type: Multiprocessor Free
Registered Owner: intel
Registered Organization:
Product ID: 00426-OEM-8992662-00009 <-- Fujitsu PID on Vvikoo board
Original Install Date: 02/12/2015, 20:14:37
System Boot Time: 20/12/2015, 9:08:05
System Manufacturer: VVIKOO Corps.
I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.

I am using Windows 7 Homebasic 32bit OEM version pc
Now, if I download a Windows 7 Home basic "64bit" (retail version) and did a clean install over 32bit,
1. will my OEM key work on retail version of Windows?
2. Will it also work if I switch architecture (to 64bit-retail version) ?

i.e) From 32bit OEM ==> 64bit Retail (same edition) using same key, is it possible?

Answer:Will my OEM key work on retail version of Windows?

Chandra mate why are you asking because the 64bit version you bought should have it's own activation code. It will not activate with the OEM version (code) you have.

For future reference the retail version can be installed on another machine in any case should the original machine you install it on dies- the only thing you cannot do is have it on more than one machine at a time.

Having said that I think MS might get ask why if you have installed it on more than say three machines in a row.

I am using Windows 7 "32 bit" (64 bit capable), Microsoft had just confirmed that after upgrade to Windows 10, users can do clean install windows any time, so when I'm on Windows 10 32 bit (after upgrade) can I do a clean install using a iso and use the same key to validate(activate) Windows 10 64 bit? (can I install Windows 10 64 bit, as same as I install and upgrade to Windows 10 32bit? from my 32 bit Windows 7)

Answer:Will my Key work for Windows 10 when I'll install a 64 bit version?

Nobody is sure YET, how MS will provide activation.. But the Keys are usually the same for x86 and x64, so swapping the arch should not be an issue..

Since one has to do a fresh reformat, how will 7 recognize that you're upgrading? Does the installer ask for your previous XP key? I'd assume this is how it works....

Answer:Will the Upgrade version of Windows 7 work with XP?

The way it has been described is you run the upgrade app in XP and it informs you of what your options are, which are pretty much limited to multi boot or replacing XP completely with fresh install of win7 as I understand it.

If you have upgrade media only don't erase the hard drive first, they say win7 needs to see your activated XP first to be assured you are a legit upgrader.

Still somewhat up in the air as this is coming from a couple sources, which may or may not be in the know. I think for a definite answer we have to wait till the 22nd when the upgrade media starts showing up. Unless there is illegal activities going on no one legitimately has upgrade disks at the moment.

I have just received an HP 620 compaq laptop with Windows 7 pro on. I dont know very much about anything techy and I want to find a free anti virus thats works on Windows 7 pro.

I have used AVG free download before so decided to go with that, but for some reason I cant get it to download, infact for some reason I cant even get the page to load. So I went with the trial version while I sort it out.

Once loaded I then tried to open IE and it just wont open, so I have had to uninstall AVG and now it works ok, but I have no anti virus.

Does anyone have any suggestions of another free anti virus that works on Windows 7 pro?

Many thanks

Hi,

I had a scare with my computer yesterday and almost had to reinstall but realized that my install disk seems to be missing. I was wondering if I borrowed a windows 7 home premium install disc from my friend would I be able to use my product key (On bottom of laptop) to install correctly using their disc.
Any help is appreciated

Answer:Will a Windows 7 Product key work with different disk of same version

If the disk you use in the exact same system as your COA yes you can.
Example: Windows 7 Home Premium/64 disk and a COA key that reads the same Windows 7 Home Premium/64. When you buy Windows operating system the COA is what you are really paying for. That gives you the right to use the operating system on the disc where/wheir ever it came from. This will also be of great help.

Friends Gateway PC had motherboard failure. Replaced it with an aftermarket MSI mobo now the machine works great.

However I cannot get recovery discs from Gateway anymore, and I cannot access the recovery partition on the hard drive. According to Gateway support my only options are to purchase a new OS.

Will windows 7 upgrade work in this situation?

Another question: According to gateway the machine is no longer a "gateway" because the motherboard is what defines it as a Gateway PC. Since it is no longer a "gateway" can I purchase an OEM version of Windows 7 for this machine?

Thanks very much in advance.

System - Mac w/Lion running Parallels so I can run Windows 7 software
Purchased already - Windows 7 Home Premium full retail version

My old Windows machine was dying and my family wanted to move this last family member PC holdout over to Mac. This is my first experience with Mac. My grown son wanted to make it as easy for me as possible, so he loaded a trial version of Windows 7 on the new Mac and got everything set up in parallels for me. The idea was that after I transferred all my files over to the new machine I could just move the activation over to the new machine and we would trash the ancient PC.

I was all set last night to officially activate the trial version when I discovered that the new machine's trial version is Windows 7 Professional, not Windows 7 Home Premium.

What I need to find out is if I purchase the retail Windows 7 Professional Upgrade version, could I simply enter that product key and not have to uninstall and reinstall now that I have the trail version for pro all nice and settled. I really do not want to have to uninstall, especially with the added complication of Parallels, install Home and then upgrade. I want 'KISS' and simply enter the product key for the professional upgrade and just keep on working with my set up system. Will that work?

Answer:Will Windows 7 Upgrade work on Windows 7 trial version?

To be honest, I don't know whether a Full Retail can be used to Upgrade an unactivated system -but I think it should work.
Back up your data and settings anyhow - using the Windows Easy Transfer process - to external stoage, in case it fails badly.
Make sure that you start the upgrade from within Windows, rather than by booting Windows from the DVD.
If you're lucky, you won't have any problems.

Argh! got it the wrong way around.!

OK - Try again....
You cannot install Home Premium as an Upgrade to Pro - it's a downgrade.
What you could try is using the WET process to export your settings and data to external media, then install the Home Premium in a new Parallells environment, and then import the WET data to that. It should take 90% of the pain out of it, and you still have the trial to fall back on if it goes pear-shaped.

Answer:Will Windows 7 Upgrade work on Windows 7 trial version?

There is no such thing as a trial version of Windows 7. You CAN install and use Windows 7 without activating it for 30 days, and with some tweaking, extend that to 120 days -- but the running version is the full one, not a "trial" version.

I currently downloaded the patch for DirectX 9.0b and ever since, none of my games requiring DirectX have worked... they all come of up with similar errors all concerning DirectX or Direct3D. I have a GeForce2 video card (been meaning to update) and I'm thinking that it is because of this outdated video card. Warcraft III comes up with the error "Warcraft III was unable to initialize DirectX. Please ensure you have DirectX 8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current. DirectX may be found on your Warcraft III CD under Options." The error for Diablo 2 is "Error 25: A critical error has occurred while initializing Direct3D." For other various games it comes up with something like "3D Graphics Not Supported!" or similar. I have all my drivers updated for my GeForce2 and I have tried installing older versions of DirectX like 8.1 and I have tried reinstalling DirectX 9.0b just to make sure that there were no problems while installing also I have looked at similar threads and none of them have helped... somebody please help?

Ok, so let's get the bad out of the way: I own an HP Pavillion Elite e9150t. Yes, I know I should have custom built a computer that had such high specs but I got a good deal on this and was lazy.

Specs are: i7 920, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd, geforce gts250, and a wimpy 460w PSU

my question is: are there any decent dx11 graphics cards that I can run with my lame psu in my system, and if so...what would be the best choice? I'd want the best bang for my buck and prefer to spend under $250 but definitely under $300...

anything? or am i screwed?

Hello,

I just did a clean install on my laptop after installing a new SSD. I installed the drivers that I had to install manually, and then I did a Windows update for anything else. After getting everything setup I ran my first Windows Experience Index.

Surprising, the graphics score was only 5.0, but I am almost sure it was higher with the factory installation. I am runnng Aero but with most of the visual effects turned off. I viewed the assessment details and it showed this:

If you notice, the DirectX version is 10. But when I run dxdiag the version number in the report is 11. Here is my configuration, and please let me know if more information is needed. Thank you very much.

HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit made from ISO image: X17-58997.iso
Graphics Adapter: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370

Answer:DXDiag shows DirectX 11 but Windows Experience Index shows DirectX 10

I believe that WinSAT only test for DirectX 10 and 9, not 11. That's why it only shows DirectX 10. If your card fails to do the DirectX 10 test, then WinSAT will only display DirectX 9. Don't worry about it. If DxDiag shows DirectX 11, then your card can support it.

Well actually, none of my video players work.

A few days ago my brother downloaded the Halo PC trial and installed Directx 9b when it asked him to. All went well and everything works just fine for him. When I tried running it on my user account however, the game could not find Directx 9b. I tried to download and install it myself, but every time I try the installer hangs at copying files, then fails and gives me a popup error telling me it didn't copy required files. Ever since trying to install Directx 9b myself, dxdiag is gone and none of my media players work, citing an inability to find Directshow installed. I have since tried on other user accounts to fix the problem, the issue exists for all of them save my brother's. I have had him uninstall and reinstall DX9b and it solved nothing.

All of the accounts on my computer are flagged as admins and even the base admin account has this issue. I am running Windows XP Pro and have the most recent Nvidia drivers for the Geforce cards. If there is anything else I can post here that would help resolve this issue, please tell me.

I recently bought a Dell laptop. It has not yet arrived, but it will have Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 pre-installed on it.

I would like to get rid of the bloatware as I already have all the applications I need, plus an extra license for Norton 360 which I am not currently using, but paying for.

For my desktop which had been running XP, I had bought a retail Upgrade version of Windows 7, so I have that DVD. I bought it in October 2009, so it is not SP1.

Is it possible to do an install over the pre-installed Windows 7 SP1 using the Upgrade disk and activate it using the COA from the laptop, or would an SP1 key not work on a non-SP1 installation?

If not, I guess I will have to go out and buy another Windows disk with SP1 or try to remove all the bloatware. Seems a shame to buy it again though, because I'd end up with the same thing anyway once I ran Windows Update.

Any other options?

Thanks,

lyndon

Answer:Will SP1 COA work if I "downgrade" to non-SP1 version of Windows?

Here you go:
Win7 Home Premium x64 SP1 English Official ISO download
Win7 Home Premium x86 SP1 English Official ISO download - use this 32 bit if under 4gb RAM.

Download and burn to DVD or write to flash stick using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool

Then boot the DVD to clean reinstall following these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 Factory OEM.

Activate using the Product Key on Dell COA sticker located on bottom of laptop or under battery. You own this license for the life of the machine and can reinstall as often as you wish and in the way you want.

Save your Win7 Upgrade version key to use on another machine, with this installer.

I'm a novice regarding the directory so please be very explicit in your instructions. Or is there another way to do a clean install with Windows 7 upgrade? A lot of the instructions on how to do so on Google are obsolete as Microsoft has fixed some of the loopholes.

Answer:Clean installation of Windows 7 from Upgrade version not Full version

Here is a better tutorial on how to do it:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/31402-clean-install-upgrade-windows-7-version.html

The instructions seem the same, but it does include a file that will do the registry edit for you.

I installed a Japanese version of windows 10 but then bought an English version and installed that after finding all the menus could not be changed to English during the install.
My question is does the English version overwrite the JP version or are files left on the SSD using up space?
Also in the end I returned the English version cause I found you can add a language pack to the JP version. The problem with this is that if you get a blue screen the Windows messages are in Japanese. So now unless I can change this I'm going to go back to an English version of Windows 10.
Thanks.

My friends computer was giving her problems...particularly IE11. no mater what home page was set...the browser would load but the little circle would spin forever and the page...whatever was set for home page...would just keep loading and loading ?

We uninsulated 11...un-installed 10...un-installed 9...and was left with the original version 8 of IE.

But same issue ...whatever was selected as home page in IE 8 would start to load...then freeze and just kept the circle spinning and spinning.

Reinstalled IE 11 but exact same problem,....whatever is set to home page will not load...and no further navigation is possible while the loading circle is spinning.

Please help if anyone has any ideas on what's happening...and how to fix this. ( Firefox works fine but some programs she has (Cricut) she says requires IE )

Would prefer IE11 but any version would be good at this point ?

Thanks....TiminAz

Yesterday I upgraded one computer from windows 10 version 1607 to version 1703 (OS Build 15063.13) using the Microsoft Update Assistant.

This is disk management on the computer that was upgraded using the Microsoft Update Assistant:

This computer was used to reproduce a Windows defender offline blue screen boot loop.  The troubleshooting menu on a windows 10 1607 iso did not have startup options with safe mode and command prompt to turn off windows driver verifier.  The partitions
on the SSD drive were deleted making the drive unallocated.  Then the windows 10 version 1607 was installed.  And as above it was upgraded to version 1703 yesterday without any problems.  The Windows defender offline incompatibility problem
with Windows driver verifier was tested with windows 10 version 1703 and the blue screen boot loop was fixed by Microsoft so that it is no longer occurs.
A second computer had the option via windows updates to get an early edition of 1703.
This update method was selected and this morning it displayed:
Something went wrong.
Error code 0xc1900200
This computer had Windows 10 version 1607 and also had a Windows defender offline blue screen boot loop.  It was fixed in a store.  There the... Read more

I just came to the realization that a computer of mine is 64bit even though it has been running the 32bit version of Windows 7.  This came about when some curiosity lead me to the manufacturer's website seeking to learn some specific details about the
computer.  Interestingly there is a statement which says something to the effect that this particular computer was not intended for use with the 32bit version of Windows.  This causes me to assume that it was sold with the 64bit version installed
which was changed after market.  I have no idea how this might have happened insofar as I obtained the computer from a friend who was discarding it.  This friend isn't someone who would know about such things.  I did reinstall the 32bit version
of Windows when I added an SSD drive but did this thinking it was a 32bit computer because it was running the 32bit version of Windows.
While the 32bit version is working fine, I am dependent on some software where support for 32bit has been abandoned.  I'd also like to add more memory and learned that while the computer can support up to 16GB it. apparently, won't use more than 4GB
when running the 32bit version of Windows.
I have quite a bit of work invested in building out the computer with the software I'm using and it would be nice if I didn't have to redo that to upgrade it to 64bit, which is what leads to my question.

I am using windows 7 64 bit and after reformattin my computer,i drag my files from my external hard disk into my laptop.the error stated make sure i am using 32 or 64 bit and i am using that.how do i solve this?

Answer:The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are runnin

Hi Haruki92,

What files are you trying to transfer? Regular files (documents, photos etc) should be fine to just drag over. However some applications are not able to run in a 64-bit environment.

Please post exactly what you're transferring and a screenshot if possible.

I am trying to buy some Telltale games from the MS Store, but it doesn't let me buy them as there is no green tick against the DirectX 11 requirement, even though I have DirectX 12 installed?

Thanks.

Answer:Can't buy DirectX 11 required games, have DirectX 12 installed.

I think that DirectX 12 is backwards compatible with DirectX 11. I suspect that the issue is related to your graphics card. Is it more than 2 years old? If so then that might be the issue.
