Preferred Solution: Sort recipients in Yahoo Mail

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Windows Live Mail 2011 - recipients not receiving mail
About 10% of my e-mail recipients are not receiving my e-mail and I do not receive non-delivery notices. Makes no difference if I select their address from my e-mail list or select respond to one of their incoming messages. This problem has plagued me for many months. I changed from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail 2011 with no results.

Computer is HP Model m9517c, AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core processor, Vista 64 bit operating system with Service Pack 2, 8 GB RAM. Am using Windows Live Mail 2011 with Comcast Internet Service.

The people not receiving my e-mail are using Verizon, Earthlink and probably others. Two of my Verizon accounts changed over to gmail and email went through.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Answer:Windows Live Mail 2011 - recipients not receiving mail

Welcome
Of course, I cannot offer a definitive answer, but merely give the most like first.
Lets say you are sending from Verizon.com and you send to Yahoo.com Yahoo may have been receiving a lot of spam from Verizon and do not allow their email. Tell your friends to put you on the safe list and see if that helps.
Another possibility, is that you may have someone else's address. It may be very close to a correct address with only a small difference. YOu would not get an non delivered notice.

How to see a list of all the addresses I have put in the BCC or CC line. Sometimes I need to go back and send something to that bunch of names again later. I do not want to create a group. Thanks

Answer:Multiple mail recipients

If it's in the "cc" line you should be able to go to your sent mail and see all of the names. You can either hit "reply to all" or copy and paste the names into a new email. If it's in the "bcc" line, I don't think you're able to see it anymore and I don't know of any way of determining which addresses were on that line.

Hi All,
I'm trying to email to around 320 recipients out of my MS Access program. I've created a good email list, with proper field names that "match" Publisher. The list "loads" into Publisher, and when I send/merge, the screen had me believing that the mail was being sent. Didn't happen, though. The only "clue" I have as to why, is that (contrary to other times when I've used Publisher/Access merge) I couldn't get to see "recipient previews." Tried starting over several times; same results. Any ideas? I love working with Publisher/Access for personalized emails that don't show the others on the recipient list; hope someone can help me find the answer to this problem. Thanks.

Hi, until recently I had no problem sending an e-mail to many recipients, like this: send to self, then BCC, some yahoo (and other) groups of people and some individuals in 2 groups in my address book. All received, no problem. I have not changed ny practise in any way but the vast majority seem to be not received because "too many recipients" and/or "too many returned" - I have even been locked out for 24 hours and I fear it may happen again because I just don't understand what has happened. I've read their "help" section over and over and it seems to allow 500 (I am well within that) but it doesn't seem to say anything about the number that can be returned (or why?) before they lock you out again. Can someone please set me on the path again. cheers.

I want to send an e-mail to a large list of people, and I do not want the recipients to see the list in the "To" box. One way I know is to place the recipients in the blind copy box.

But I received an e-mail recently from someone who sends to lists, and there were no names whatsoever in the "To" box of the e-mail I received as a member of the list. How is that accomplished?

I have Outlook and W7. Sometimes I receive e Mails Addressed to me and, no doubt, to others, with a Dear John into and no other circulation shown .I want to do the same but may have to just send it to "Undisclosed Recipients" , using BCC to send copies to about 50 people. At the moment I send it to myself with BCC. How do I use "Undisclosed Recipient" as maim addressee?

Answer:Sending e Mail to undisclosed Recipients

Start Outlook.
Click New and open drop down menu.

To send an email to multiple but hidden recipients with ?Undisclosed recipients? in the ?To? field:
Start Outlook.
Click new email message.
Click the ?To? button.
Highlight Undisclosed recipients.
Click To ->.
Highlight all people in your address book to whom you want to send the message.
Click Bcc ->.
Click OK.
Add any additional recipients? email addresses to the ?Bcc? field.
Separate addresses with semicolons.

My question is whether I could hide my own e-mail address from the person I am sending the e-mail to, the same way I can hide my caller`s ID in a mobile phone?
I have been selling a few things on-line on craiglist, & this site has the facillity of hiding my e-mail, so the people that answer to my add can send me an e-mail, but without knowing my real e-mail address.
The problem is that when I reply to their messages, they can see my e-mail address.
I am with Yahoo. Is there any way of doing this that is not just creating a new e-mail address just for this sort of thing?
If Yahoo doesn`t, does Windows Mail or Outlook have a feature to hide my own e-mail address?

Thanks in advance!!

Answer:Can I hide my e-mail address from recipients

With Windows Live, I think, that if you go into tools>accounts. It will show reply to address. Try putting something like donotsendhere.com etc. See if that works.

Hi: Until a few months ago I had no problems with OE6 sending any mail. Recently, however, I find I can no longer send e-mails to people I previously had no problem with. There was one instance where the "failed" recipient gave me an alternative address, and the new address worked. However, everybody else could still use his original address.

I send to multiple addresses (sports team members) and have done so for years, but this year I keep getting the following message:

"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'CC Team Meeting and Net Practice.', Account: 'My Mail', Server: 'smtp.wanadoo.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '452 Error: too many recipients', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 452, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"

I have looked through the forum for similar problems, of which there have been several, but on the rare occasion where an apparent fix was found, it won't work for me. If I don't sort this quickly, it is going to have a big (bad) effect on our sports season.

I am using Orange as IP in UK (which recently changed for the second time from Wanadoo, originally Freeserve) and wonder if they have been tagged as a spammer. I must say that ever since the system turned Orange, the contention seems too high (supposedly 50) and peak time access takes forever, but... Read more

Answer:Solved: OE6 mail recipients rejected.

It's not necessarily a problem on your end....

The server on the other end thinks you are sending the message to too many people at the same time. Try sending the message to 5 people at a time. If that works, then increase to 10 at a time, etc... until you can figure out the maximum amount of people you can send to at a time.

Some servers will reject a message if there is no address in the "to" line.

This is a "spam reduction" feature that most ISP's use.

Hi,

I'm using now Windows Mail for my personal mail.

When I Create a New Message and then click on the To: button to select the recipients for the new message then a list of the addresses of all my previous messages (sent and received) comes up for selection; those addresses are located on the folder <E:\Users\Victor\Contacts\other>.
That -although useful- is not what I really want; I'd like to see ONLY the list of addresses from my Contacts.

I've been browsing throughout the commands, configurations and options to set Contacts as my default list of recipients but I haven't been able to find anything to do that.

Any ideas?

I have someone who does not want to see the recipient addresses in the header when sending email..
Outlook Express just showed the generic contact name, but windows mail gives both.

Example: john smith <<[email protected]>>

Is there a way to turn off seeing the email address in brackets?

I looked through the options but could not find anything..

I assume this is one of Microsofts useless improvements..

I recently moved from Windows XP to Vista 64 bit. In XP, I was having no problems selecting the recipients in the list in Microsoft Access and merge into Word. However, in Vista after I "clear all" and select one recipient, and click "ok", the Access list closes, but then adds some recipients that I didn't check. So when I merge, there are many more records that what I originally checked. Any thoughts?

Hi - we recently purchased a new machine with Vista installed therefore had to change from using Outlook 2000 to Windows Mail. Apart from being slow it was working OK, but suddenly my colleague has been unable to select contacts from the address book when creating a new message. If you start to type the recipients name/address it will usually find it but if you click on the 'To' box it comes up with an error message 'unable to choose recipients'. If you access the address book they are all in there, but just can't be selected this way. If you have any suggestions as to what could be done to remedy this that will be much appreciated. Thanks

Answer:Windows Mail 'unable to choose recipients'

I have just checked my Windows Mail.As far as I can make out the only way to insert an address from your contacts list in new message is to click on the 'To' or 'Cc' box and select the one you want.If you click on the address space and start to type a name it will only give you the options of those you have already used before and have been retained in memory like a search engine.I stand to be corrected but wasn't that the way XP worked?

For almost 2 months, people with GoDaddy hosted e-mail accounts are not getting a lot of e-mail sent to them from sbcglobal.net and bellsouth.net domains. Apparently, there is either an issue at Yahoo, who manages e-mail for those domains, or at GoDaddy. You can read a long thread about this issue at community.godaddy.com/groups/email/forum/topic/452-too-many-recipients-received-this-hour.

It may be that GoDaddy is doing some sort of over filtration of Yahoo sourced e-mail in the name of blocking spam. The problem is many GoDaddy users are not getting legitimate e-mails because of this problem.

If you or your clients get their e-mail via GoDaddy, you may want to send some test e-mails from the known problem domains, if you can, to make sure you are not experiencing this problem.

The "new improved" Yahoo Mail isn't. In fact, it's vexing, mortifyingly slow, and no longer allows open folders while creating new messages so you can't copy and paste with both items open. Since Yahoo won't permit going back to the old, reliable version. So, I'm seriously considering a switch to Mozilla's Thunderbird v 24.0.1 on my Win7-64 desktop and my wife's Win7-64 laptop. She uses the paid version of Yahoo and I'm on the free version.

Once I get Thunderbird going, does anyone know how I can:
get mail addressed to me at Yahoo forwarded to me in Thunderbird?
import my Yahoo contacts into Thunderbird?
import my Yahoo folders and their contacts into Thunderbird?
I'm not a techie, so I'd greatly appreciate learning how I can go about this. Thanks in advance.

It pointed me to a log file which is enormous, and which I simply don't understand.I have also tried System Restore, back to the earliest restore point available. No solution. The only ways in which she can send an email are (a) type the recipient's email address directly into the To box, or (b) click on a recipient's email address in the Contacts gadget in the Windows desktop Sidebar. My wife is secretary of a very large society, so this is a major problem for her (and for her husband, who's supposed to be able to fix it!).Anyone got any ideas please?

Using Outlook Express one can highlight and insert multiple addresses from the Address Book into the Bcc box for a multiple send.

In Windows Mail I can't find a way to do this from the Contacts list. (You can make groups within Contacts, but they can only be inserted into the To box.)

For security reasons I often want to use Bcc to send a message to multiple members of a Club. The only way I can find to do this in Windows Mail is to enter them one at a time, a tedious business.

Is there a way to insert them in a block? One would assume so as WM is supposed to be an improvement on OE, not a backward step.

The OS of the computer concerned is Vista.(Detail below my signature does not apply in this case.)

I've had Windows Mail working well on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit for over a year with no problems until very recently.

A problem started 3 days ago.

I have my Contacts List set to show alphabetically starting at A, and until 3 days ago, the Select Recipients box showed in the same order. It's now showing in the reverse order - starting with Z.

I can't find any way to alter this and can't find any references to the problem.

Any ideas for a fix please ?

Robert.

I thought Windows Mail was only available in Vista? is it possible you are using Windows Live Mail.
Have to take a guess about Windows Mail , immediately above the contacts is there a box saying name like you get in Windows Explorer click it & it probably reverses the order.
Windows Live Mail look on the Ribbon in the View section for Sort by there are only two option's First name or Last name.

How can I add multiple e-mail addresses to recipients in Outlook 2007 in owa hosted exchange.

I have opened an account in OWA hosted exchange. The format is Microsoft Outlook 2007.

When I try to add RECIENTS to "Add Contacts," I am only allowed to enter one Recipient via their e-mail address at a time, plus any other information anyone wants to add.

This is totally worthless to me for my purposes.

Also, is there a method for me to use to Import Recipients to OWA via Outlook?

I paid for the package / program via Go Daddy. Parties I have asked at their tech support claim to not not know how to do this, claim to not have access to Outlook, etc. Go Daddy parties recommended I purchase the product. I have had nothing but endless grief and wasted innumerable hours.

Outlook message appears to only allow a simple word text message.

Also, does anyone know how I can import another program into Outlook so that I can have OPEN PHOTOS within the e-mail message body? Otherwise, is there any method by which I can import OPENED PHOTOS into the Message, besides importing attachments?

Thanks for any help.

Having serious redirect issues with Yahoo! Every clicked search result goes to junk page. Google search results work fine, but when using Google new browser windows pop open and go to junk pages. I have tried McAffe, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Stopzilla, and Hitman Pro 3.5. They have identified, and supposedly removed some trojans and tracking cookies, but the problem continues. I read a post online about addons, and when I open browser (IE8) without addons, the first several search results go to the correct page, but eventually starts to redirect again even with addons disabled. When preparing for this post, I tried GMER scan twice, but both times when it seemed to be finishing the scan the system restarted with no warning, error message, etc. Here is the DDS reports: DDS (Ver_10-03-17.01) - NTFSx86 Run by HP_Administrator at 13:02:08.78 on Tue 06/08/2010Internet Explorer: 8.0.6001.18702Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600.3.1252.1.1033.18.503.111 [GMT -6:00]AV: Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus *On-access scanning enabled* (Updated) {D3C23B96-C9DC-477F-8EF1-69AF17A6EFF6}AV: McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware *On-access scanning enabled* (Updated) {84B5EE75-6421-4CDE-A33A-DD43BA9FAD83}FW: McAfee Firewall *enabled* {94894B63-8C7F-4050-BDA4-813CA00DA3E8}============== Running Processes ===============C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost -k DcomLaunchC:\Program Files\Common Files\iS3\Anti-Spyware\SZServer.exesvchost.exeC:\... Hi there:

Would anyone out there know how to restore the option to right-click on a file and send it to Outlook Express 5? I installed MS Office 97 and it seemed to mess it up so I uninstalled Outlook 97, now the whole mail option in the send to menu is gone.

Thanks for your help,

Olliehay

Answer:Lost my "send to mail recipients" shortcut

Probably the easiest way would be to just reinstall OE5. That is not just a regular shortcut that resides in the SendTo folder.

Start>Settings>CP>Add/RemovePrograms. Double left click on MicrosoftInternetExplorer 5. A menu will appear with 3 options, choose "Add a Component". Now select OE5 from the IE setup screen and reinstall. it will warn you that you have the most recent version. Just reinstall anyway.

I've been experiencing an annoying issue when navigating through web browsers such as yahoo, google, etc. When using the search engines, I'm often re-directed to some random site that looks like it's either mimicking a search engine or selling something. If I hit the 'back' button enough and re-click on the search item a 2nd time, I'll usually get the page I originally wanted. However, this happens on every search I perform and occurs every time without fail.

Another issue that may be related occurs when in Yahoo!'s email service. I'm often redirected when navitgating in-and-out of email messages. I fear my computer is being used in a malicious way and my security, compromised. None of the anti-virus or spyware tools on my computer have caputerd or identified a problem (yet I KNOW one exists here). I have read through a few related posts, but it looks like there could be any number of issues causing this so I decided to ask my question directly. I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide me. It's truly a service you are providing. I'm providing the suggested info below:

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

Every time I try to attach a file in yahoo mail, both using Opera 9.62 and IE 7, I am redirected to www.yahoo.com at time of clicking "attach files." Only on this computer, only on yahoo mail (gmail works fine). I emailed yahoo and they just send me a canned reply to go to their help page. Also, when I click on my address book while in a message, I am logged out of yahoo... the two seem possibly related. Any thoughts? No viruses or spyware detected by AV and S&D programs.
Thanks!

Having trouble signing into my yahoo e-mail account. When I enter name & password & click on the sign in button, absolutely nothing happens. I can sign in on different computers, so obviously it is this particular computer. ALSO: on this computer, we were having issues with the security certificate. The date & time was set okay. Seem to be having problems with yahoo in general, which is our home page. Sometimes we try to go to yahoo, and "it cannot display the page"We ran several security scans with: AVG & webroot. Nothing seemed to be amiss. A couple of adware removed. Still having issues. We cleared our cache & history. Any thoughts?? Doesn't seem to be a virus on our cpu. Thanks everyone.

If this is not the right place to post this, my apologies and I'll expect it to be moved.

Yahoo is impossible to find any help: phone, email, live chat, or elsewhere. As a result, I Googled "Yahoo Help" and was led to a website posing as "Yahoo" but in fact, was not. That phone conversation ended up costing me 171.00, with no resolution to my problem. This is background info., in case you're wondering why I'm looking here for help.

I can login to "Yahoo" using my email address and my Yahoo password. So far so good. I belong to a chat group in Yahoo, and it shows that I have mail, but I can't access it. I Vaguely remember opening a Yahoo Mail account, but I don't remember how to login to it. I have a feeling that's where my mail is.

I tried to get into Yahoo Community, to ask for help, but I can't get into that, either.

Are these three things seperate entities, which require different logins and passwords?

Answer:Yahoo!/yahoo Mail/yahoo Community

I assume you are saying you have two yahoo email addresses since you say you can log into yahoo mail and can't remember the password for one account, is that right?

It was working fine yesterday then I got home from work last night and the tool bar doesn't load it says "Error loading toolbar buttons. Click here to retry". On my Yahoo Homepage I'm logged in cause it says my name and shows how many emails I have to read but I click and it has me put in my password as it does sometimes but this time I type in my password and it says it's incorrect even though it's not and I checked for caps lock and that wasn't on. I tried to do the forgot password thing and that didn't work either it was saying that the security password I typed in was wrong every time too. I deleted cookies and temp internet files and that did nothing. Is it something wrong with Yahoo or something wrong with my comp? Cause I can login to every other site fine it's just Yahoo.

Answer:problems w/ Yahoo toolbar and Yahoo Mail

new development...so it's just something totally wrong with my account I think...cause well it brought me to Yahoo Espanol at one point...so I signed out and now i'm just completely signed out can't even see the number of emails anymore. So I went down to my dad's comp and it didn't work there either. I came back up here and created a new email address and that works fine...toolbar loads and I can get into Yahoo Mail....so how do I find out what's going on with my account??! Cause Yahoo Help really isn't helpful at all.

My problem is with the latest version of Yahoo Mail. I have recently upgraded to this version and initially messengers for Yahoo and Facebook opened there. But then these are not opening anymore. Whenever i click on the 'New Chat button, i get the message that "Yahoo Messenger is currently loading" or "Yahoo messenger is currently not available".

The biggest problem is that this new version does not allow one to go back to an earlier version. I have another yahoo account also where i luckily did not upgade to the new version. Here yahoo messenger easily opens in Yahoo Mail.

Any solutions?

Hello all,

There was already a post on this issue but no straight answer that leaded to a solution. I'm having some weird issue with Yahoo web pages. Initially, when trying to open mail.yahoo.com the browser will display a webpage selling online space for storage, the website was www.hostsetup.net. I thought it was some kind of virus and try numerous things to get rid of it but the weird thing is that if I plug this laptop to any other network with a cable or wireless, yahoo web sites will open.

Previously I was able to open yahoo mail by entering any other yahoo website but now nothing will open and will display "page not found". When I try mail.yahoo.com the icon changes to a weird circle shaped image and now the website shows up as www.globo.com.

I got so pissed up of not being able to fix this that I reimaged my PC thinking it had some virus I couldn't remove but to my surprise as soon as I tried the website again i got the same problem!. This is some problem at the wireless router but can't figure out what, I've been through all the settings of the wireless router and don't get to the problem, any other website opens ok. Any ideas?

When BT decided to drop its links to Yahoo, I set up a separate Yahoo email account and used this successfully until recently. In the last couple of weeks, however, every time I try to log in to Yahoo mail I am redirected to BT Yahoo. BT Yahoo does not recognise my "details" presumably neither the email address nor the most recent Yahoo password. Yahoo help (on their web page) say that according to their records my email account is with BT. My husband and I do have a BROADBAND account. The same email address, originally linked to BT Yahoo, was a subaccount of his As the fact that I only had a sub account, even though on a separate computer, was causing all sorts of other minor issues with my email. I wanted to get rid of it and when BT announced they were separating from Yahoo, I opted for a paid Yahoo address, using the same one. I suppose I should have changed the email address when I transferred from BT Yahoo to Yahoo. But there was never any problem using the old one until last week.

I do not seem to be able to find out what the position of Yahoo is vis a vis BT Yahoo. Are they now re-united ? Should I forget the Yahoo mail address and resign myself to losing all my records in YAHOO MAIL and take up the offer of a new free email address from BT ? Or will I end up with the old problem of only being allowed a sub account. It would not matter so much now as I have other addresses functioning see last para below. However, some of my older contacts are still using ... Read more

Have your friends recently texted you about spam originating from your Yahoo Mail account? If so, that may be because you (and many of your friends) were hacked.

Yahoo acknowledged Thursday that attackers now own an undisclosed number of usernames and passwords to Yahoo Mail accounts. In a blog post, Jay Rossiter, the senior vice president in charge of Yahoo?s platforms and personalization products, wrote that the attackers had most likely hacked an external, third-party database and obtained the information there.

?We regret this has happened and want to assure our users that we take the security of their data very seriously,? Rossiter wrote.

Yahoo did not say how many accounts had been compromised, nor when the attacks had taken place. However, the company says it began notifying users that the attacks had taken place, and had begun using second sign-in verification to allow users to re-secure their accounts. Users who have been affected, unsurprisingly, will be asked to change their password, and may receive an SMS text to that effect, Yahoo said.Click to expand...

When I go to compose a new e-mail message I want to list all my recipients as "undisclosed". I have left the "to" box empty and put all the people in "bcc", but when I go to send it - it doesn't go because I have no one in the "to" box.

I've noticed other people have no problem when I receive e-mail from them - but I can't get it to work.

I have Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and College Mail... Any way to check all at once/easily?

I don't want to download a messenger service for gmail AND yahoo. I already run AIM and MSN messenger.

I think that only my college mail has a free pop3 server to use in Outlook.

Please help!

Answer:I have Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and College Mail... Any way to check all at once/easily?

Well i know that GMail can be downloaded thru their pop/smtp server into Outlook. So that would allow for you to get your college mail and your GMail at once place at one time. I dotn know of any Yahoo service that allows for this though. I think that is the only one you will still ahve to check via web.

Unless someone else knows how to get Yahoo Mail downlaoded to Outlook.

For GMail log in thru the web. From there click on the Settings. There is a tab for Pop/forwarding. There you can choose to download it thru their pop account. They even give directions how to set up Outlook or most other applications right there as well. If you need more definative directions let me know and i will give them to you.

Incomming = pop.mail.yahoo.com
Ougoing = smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Also Ypops is a good 3rd party app to use for Yahoo.

Hi Gang,

My Yahoo mail Premium doesn't allow me to search mail older than one month anymore. How do you retrieve messages older than one month?

Do you have to import or export it to another program? IF so which one? Thunderbird, Outlook, Earthlink or another?

How have other yahoo mail users dealt with this?

Answer:Yahoo Mail Premium Does Retrieve Mail Older Than 1 Month?

I solved this problem myself. I downloaded a program called Yahoo Zimbra. Its like Outlook Express only for Yahoo instead of Microsoft.

When I downloaded all my emails to my desktop I was able to search all the way back to the beginning of my emails. I had over 20 thousand so it was significant.

Yahoo Zimbra is a nice little tool. Too bad they don't advertise it.

I have multiple e-mail addresses. I check them all through Outlook.

When I am at work, I would prefer not to even sort thru my personal e-mails to get to my business e-mails but they are all in the same In box.

Is there someway to have them automatically got into different In boxes depending on which one of my e-mails the messages were sent to?

Thanks in advance.

My wife's computer sends duplicate email to everyone. They have told her this plus we have a home network and all her emails to me are duplicate. She only has one email account listed. I have not found anyone who can help me with this problem so I set her up a Yahoo email account to see if only one would be sent throught it and that is what happens. So we are changing her from Windows Mail to Yahoo mail.
Is there away to get Yahoo mail set up as Windows Mail? By this I mean can we just eliminate Windows mail and put Yahoo mail in it's place? Also, is there a way to copy her address book to Yahoo? Is there away to print it?

I want to print a list of my Mail contacts, including their addresses, so that I can add them to Yahoo Mail. I have done what Help tells me to do but I only get a list of names (e.g. John.............. (None)). I didn't have any trouble doing this in Outlook Express and I am guessing that I'm missing a simple step.

Ideally I would like to simply import my Contacts to Yahoo Mail so that when I'm overseas in a few weeks I can use Yahoo to mail people.

An computer illiterate friend of mine has two e-mail accounts. One is with her ISP (SBC's DSL) via Outlook Express (OE) and the other is with Yahoo. For some inexplicable reason, Yahoo e-mail has started intercepting her OE messages. And she, like many, has her OE programmed to run continuously and check for messages every few minutes. But she might not check her Yahoo mail for days.

Do any of you have any suggestions as to how she might tweak her system to insure that messages destined for her primary address go to OE?

You are going to have to explain with more details. How does she get Yahoo! emails? What version of Yahoo! does she have? She's paying for a Yahoo! account?

Hello to everyone!

I have added a signature to my yahoo e-mail that includes my name, my two sites, my actual e-mail and my telephone number. Although I haven't added a Skype number, during the last few months below my telephone number started appearing this:

Tel number

Call
Send SMS
Add to Skype
You'll need Skype Credit Free via Skype

I tried deleting my telephone number from my signature but these words still remain there. Any ideas on how I could delete these Skype details?

Thank you!

My friend has been using Vista Windows Mail for her Yahoo mail for a couple of years with via BT.
She then developed a problem and and found she could not use "Windows Mail" for her mail any longer, but could still access her mail by going direct to "Yahoo mail.co.uk", so it looks like a Vista "Windows Mail" setup problem.
I have a 2nd laptop with Vista and tried to set up my current Yahoo mail account on it, but no matter what I have read on line, I find it impossible to read my yahoo mail but can send Yahoo mail on it, it also sends and recieves blueyonder addresses o.k.
I am now totally confused, can somewone advise me please, so that I can help her.
thanks

Answer:Vista Windows Mail cannot read yahoo mail

Which browser is being used? Is it IE9? Have you tried another browser, Firefox for example?
If you have tried it in IE9 try rolling this back to IE8 by going to Control Panel, Programs and Features (add remove program depending on OS), click on "view installed updates" in left hand column, right click on Windows Internet Explorer 9, select uninstall, restart PC - it should automatically roll back to IE8.

Subject: Yahoo E-mail Sends Spam Mail without me knowing it.

I have an Yahoo Account that a friend told me that it was sending spam mail to him and it was a suprise to me because I did not send spam mail to that person. What is going on and how do I cure this problem? I use a couple of computers. One had Advast free on it and the other has AVG free on it. The other day AVG expired and it took it off of one computer. I try to put Advast on it and it would not allow me to do that.
What should I do to fix this problem.

What I have done so far.
1. Ran Malware bytes & found 2 infections on quick scan.
I have not done a full scan.
2. Change password and made a second e mail address to the account
and set it to primary.
3. I still need more advice on this subject.
Thank you,

I have Internet Explorer 6, have all the new patches and upgrades. My problem is this. In Outlook Express, under VIEW, SORT BY, I have Ascending, which means mail comes in - in order according to date and time, right? Mine does not. My incoming mail is going everywhere. I have to search my inbox for new mail, since it's not coming in in the correct order, and it's driving me crazy!

I've tried changing the settings to descending, restart, then re-set to ascending, restart. I tried IE Repair under Add/Remove Programs. Nothing makes it work correctly.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer:{RESOLVED}OUTLOOK EXPRESS won't sort my mail!!!

Well, I fixed my own problem. A friend suggested right-clicking on "Received" right in the incoming email box. Then click on ascending. It worked. Duh! So, problem solved!!!!

i have had Google Chrome on several systems with Yahoo Mail set up as home page in the Google Chrome settings. (Home desktop, primarily as a server and storage, work laptop fpr work only, and home laptop for e-mail, internet, and other home apps.)
.
On my home laptop, recently, after opening to Yahoo Mail, as it finishes loading, it then goes to Yahoo UK website.
.
???
I rechecked the Google Chrome settings, and that page is not set there.
I have Google Chrome set up to open only TWO specific pages:
Yahoo Mail and My Yahoo.
Those two open, as specified.
But the Yahoo mail, first tab, after it opens, redirects to yahoo UK.

Answer:Yahoo Mail redirecting to Yahoo UK?

Check your hosts file located at c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ and see if yahoo is listed in there.
