Preferred Solution: i cant send email with my outlook . com email adress

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: i cant send email with my outlook . com email adress

If that's your email address then block out the first part with X's immediately otherwise you'll get spam email forever. An Edit option is available on here. There have been several issues with Windows 8.1. Check for Windows Updates now (the bulk arrive on the second Tuesday of each month or next day depending on your time zone).Check also with your computer manufacturer to see if there have been any new network drivers offered for Win 8.1. Best update them anyhow.Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanksmessage edited by Derek

Hi guys,
I would like to be able to move an email to a sub folder of my mailbox and get Outlook to send an email to the sender of the email I moved into it. Hope that makes sense.

I found this archived thread http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/439567-outlook-reply-email-when-mail.html which has proved very helpful and I've managed to get it working for me.

I would like it to send more than just a one line email reply but I don't know how, maybe get it to use a text file for the body of the email?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Okay, so I'm just starting up a company, and I am unsure of how to do something.

We will be using Outlook 2003.

We have 2 computers in the office area, and they are LAN'ed together through a router.

We have a company email, lets just say [email protected]

We want to both have access to the same emails. The problem is, that when outlook gets the email, it deletes it off of the POP3 server, so in other words, it seems that only one computer would get the email. I want it so both computers get the email.

Is there a file I should share between on the computer to do this, or will it automatically send to both computers?

What about sent emails? Say I send an email to one customer, and then leave.... Will my partner be able to see that I have already read and replied to that message? Let me know what I can do.

Thank you!

Nathan

Answer:Using 2 computers with one email adress? (Outlook)

I don't think any email program does this. POP3 simply isn't rich enough; it doesn't know what you want to keep, what you want to synch, what can be deleted, what one account has read, what the other account has read, and so on. Maybe someone knows of some tool that does it.

If you use Exchange Server, it can eat the POP3 mail and store it in Exchange Server. Then, your Outlook clients can both connect to Exchange Server, which manages all those things.

This is an odd one, it has me stumped. A friend of mine, who I have been corresponding with for some years. All of a sudden is not receiving my email's. She receives emails from everyone else, that she always has. I can receive email's sent to me from everyone in my address book including her.
I told her to look in her spam blocker, she says there's never anything in it. She lives some miles away, so I am not able to go take a look. In all the years we have been sending and receiving mail neither of us has changed our email addresses. However, I have a free email account with Yahoo. So I sent her an email from there and she received it. Any ideas?

Answer:Outlook Express not receiving mail from one email adress?

Your friend may have inadvertently added you to OE's "Blocked Senders List". When that happens your messages will go straight to the Deleted Items folder and she may not notice them. Ask her to check by clicking the Tools menu -> Message Rules -> Blocked Senders List. If your address does appear there then she needs to highlight it and click "Remove".
If that doesn't help then let me know who her e-mail provider is.

Did not find answer when I searched.I have Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, and IE6, SP2.When I go to a web site and click on File, Send page by email or Send link by email, I get the message box entitled Enter Network Password, asking for user name and password.   How can I get it to go right to the Hot Mail message box so I can send?   In Tools, Internet Options, Programs, the Email section shows Hot Mail, so it should go right to Hot Mail.If I change the Internet Options, Programs, Email section to Yahoo Mail, instead of going to my Yahoo mail, I get a message box with the title Microsoft Exchange Setup Wizard, but it should take me to my Yahoo Mail.Anyone know how I can fix these two to work right?   Thanks much.Anna Ruth

Answer:File, send page by email, send link by email

Since you are using web client based e-mail it won't do this automatically...Copy and paste the links into Hotmail and it should work fine...

I have a situation where someone has 2 email addresses. One of them is now redundant and I have deleted it from the People section. However, when I am set to make a new email to that person and type the first letter of their name, in the pop up window (that you can click on) their old email address still appears.
How do I delete this from that list? Can find no way to do so.

Answer:Outlook Email - Deleting Wrong Email Entry when starting new email

In new email, start typing the address you want to remove. When you have enough characters for auto complete to show it (sometimes one letter is enough), use DOWN ARROW key on keyboard to select the address in question and press DEL key.

That's it.

Answer:Cannot send email in Outlook

I had similar problems, could receive but not send email. My error number was 0x800CCC67 and Port 25 was mentioned.

I solved the problem by switching from Port 25 to Port 587 in Tools > Accounts > Properties > Advanced Tab. Simply delete the number 25 and type in 587 and then click "Apply"

It worked for me. Give it a try - you've nothing to lose. If not sucessful you can always change back to 25.

Hi,

I have been running outlook 2003 for almost 3 years ok.

However, today I find I can not send email via outlook (receiving incoming email works fine).

The message I get reads;

"sending reported error; 0x800ccc0f. the connection to the server was interrupted...."

It has been like this now for 2-3 days and causing a real pain.

Is there anyone on this board with the expertise in outlook 2003 who would be kind enough to help me fix this problem?

I am running XP, outlook 2003 etc. I have tried to restore XP to earlier in the week but still the problems persist.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

I'm having trouble with an Outlook Express installation. Since about 2 days it's stopped sending email. I don't get any error messages, haven't changed (and have verified) my provider's server settings and checked all the basic options. "Send&Receive at startup" and "Send messages immediately" are both checked but my emails get sent to my outbox and stay there no matter what I do.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

I've been using Outlook this morning and everything ok until just now. Composed a forwarding email from an incoming email, clicked on send and...nothing. But get this message (helpful, not) "Cannot send this item". Also tried changing email accounts, same thing. But tried sending test emails from variety of accounts, all ok. Is there something about the email that is preveting outlook from sending this email. It was generated from Windows mail by my daughter and I've replied to her previous emails with no problem so its just this one. Anybody got any clues? Thanks in advance.
Update: I created a new email and attached the email from daughter and this was sent successfully.

I had other reasons for reinstalling 2k besides the Outlook issue. Anyway, he had no solution and I figured someone around here can gimmie some good ideas.

Here is the error.

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Hi,

I am using a btinternet.com (BT Yahoo) email address with outlook 2007. I have used it for ages with no problems, then suddenly a few days ago I could receive, but not send email. The messages would appear to have sent, would show in my sent items folder, but they didn't actually get sent.

I tried to change a few settings, which didn't work, and have now put it back as before, but now the messages don't even leave my outbox. When I click send/receive, it just stays on sending for ages, but I get no error messages.

I connect to the internet through TalkTalk broadband, and the settings I was using were POP3 - mail.btinternet.com SMTP - smtp.talktalk.net.

Please help, this is driving me crazy!

hey i'm having a problem with sending "both" my email accounts... they both use diff servers so i know it has to be a problem with outlook

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop3.****.com', Server: 'smtp.****.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Answer:Outlook will not send email

First thing to check is if you have a firewall. If you do, try disabling that and see if it sends. If not, and you are sure the addresses are correct, try setting up a new identity with that account. Sometimes they do become corrupt and simply resetting the account may clear it up.

Using Outlook (not Express). Can send e-mail Ok, but cannot receive - instead get an error message. All account settings are correct for my ISP. Using Windows XP and Office 2003 SP1.

Issue started after I added a new hard drive, then made the new drive the boot drive and the other one the slave. Now, I get this email problem and others:
- Windows Installer box pops up when I open any Office 2003 programs. Says "preparing install..." then gives a message that I should run Setup and then select Repair.

- tried removing Office with add/remove programs and after the Windows installer box pops up with "preparing to remove...", this message appears "This patch package could not be opened..."

- tried to reinstall Office from disc and it would not work - same errors as above.

- tried to delete a separate file and is said the recycle bin was corrupted

Can someone please help?

I have a Lumia 640XL phone with Windows 8.1. I have managed to use my old PC to create a few alias email addresses in my Outlook account. Sending an email from my main registered address is fine, and so is receiving email TO one of my aliases. BUT, how do I send a NEW (ie, not a reply to one received) email FROM one of my aliases, using my lumia phone? Am I correct to say this is impossible to do? When i created each aliase, i chose not to create a seperate folder/inbox for each one. I am wondering if the only way Microsoft are allowing us to send email from a chosen aliase (ie, selecting exactly what address it is sent "FROM"), is to use a seperate inbox for each one? In which case, doesn't this make the concept of offering seperate aliases a bit pointless?
What should i do?

A few days ago, both mine and my wife's Outlook Express started getting errors when we tried to send email. It gives both of us the following error(the account name is different, obviously):The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'spiritcloud', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0EThe only thing that changed the same on both computers was an automatic update by our AVG software. I don't think that is the cause, because my AVG updates each morning and my email worked fine until late one night. No email settings were changed. No security or network settings were manually changed. No hardware was changed. Nothing. Our outgoing mail just stopped working.I talked to our ISP tech support and he said that 99% of the time that error means a problem with either the email settings or with security settings(such as anti virus software). Since I knew the email settings hadn't changed, I looked at the AV. I even completely removed it, but the email error remained. I tried setting up the account from scratch on outlook express--no change. I tried setting up a new account--same error. I tested every OE authentication setting combination--nothing worked. Mail does send from the accounts using webmail. Not sure if that means the problem is with outlook express, or if it's apples and oranges.Anyone know the solution or something I can try? Hmm. A couple wild thoughts here:

Have you tried disconnecting from the internet entirely and connecting again to see if that solves the problem?

Have you tried flushing your DNS and IP numbers? I'm afraid I don't remember the directions for that, but I found it here on BC. That might solve the problem.

By the way, what AVG are you using? AntiSpyware or AntiVirus?

Webmail works fine, old Email account under same domain works fine on this PC, just not new or existing account on this PC or any PC. Checked settings, software, tried alternative configs (different Pop servers, the IP instead of the name, etc). Uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook, deleted and recreated the Pop account both in Outlook and on the hosting company, still nothing. Checked settings a hundred times of course. The environment is a Windows 2003 Small business Server, the clients are all Win XP Pro running DHCP with DNS and DHCP running on the server. I?ve run all the Windows updates & virus protection scans. No other known problems exist. Seems like a DNS problem or something?

Any other ideas??? thanks

W7 PC with MSE - been using Outlook for years with no problem. Suddenly last Thursday, within seconds of clicking 'send', get a could not be delivered message with code ' 503 valid RCPT command must precede DATA'.
Google only says that this is caused by the server needing authentication. ISP (who's spent ages trying to sort this) says their servers do not. He's sent a message from his PC using my log-in details with no problem. He's checked the settings on my PC and says they're fine. I've tried a System restore to before the problem started (in case it was an update that triggered this), and reset the router to factory settings. I've tried setting up Outlook express and Thunderbird on the spare PC with no success (same message).
Ttearing my hair out - anyone any thoughts, please?

Answer:Outlook 2003 - can't send email

Looking through Google search results indicate that the main reason is authentication required. He can send with your details but is this with the same ISP, same smtp settings? Has he had a look on webmail and is the account full? What outgoing port is being used - 25 or 26? Have you tried with authentication and ssl enabled?

This started a week or so ago. Nothing had been changed but I started getting an error when trying to send emails from Outlook. The error I get is as follows:

Task 'pop.att.yahoo.com - Sending and receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP).

I called AT&T and they went over my settings which I have checked and rechecked and that I could send email when logged in on the webmail, which I can, and then wanted to send me to a pay department for dealing with outlook.

When I've verified the settings, I've clicked the 'test account settings' button and it sometimes fails but other times the test completes correctly, but then if I try and send an actual email, I get the error message again.

My domain is hosted by 1and1 and they too say everything is set up correctly. I can send and receive using Hotmail, Yahoo and Outlook Express. I can receive but not send using Outlook. I have reinstalled Outlook, but it made no difference. I use Windows XP Pro and my email is imap. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I just had to reset my system's configuration jumper (CMOS) on my motherboard due to frequent computer crashes and numerous error messages, I believe was caused by some registry optimizing freeware (NTREGOPT) that I downloaded online.

While that action seems to have corrected my crashing woes, now my Outlook won't send or receive new email.

I can load the Outlook program just fine, but when I try to download new email it just quickly goes from showing the total number of emails waiting in queue to then scrolling on downward to zero and registering an error message that reads:

Error 26090 Office Source Engine, System Error - 2147023838

Can anyone help me regain proper Outlook functioning??

Greetings,
I recently started to use outlook express. I have it set up for roadrunner accts. I can receive emails, but cannot send them. I have it set up exactly as a friend does on his 2 computers, so I am assuming it is right. I also tried to set it up for an aol screenname, using their exact set up instructions, and even then, I can only receive email, and not send. Any suggestions?
THANKS! Mike

Hi

I recently switched from using Outlook Express to Outlook. I imported all folders and current emails that were in Outlook Express. However I don't receive any new emails. Everytime I want new email from my Optonline account I have to go to Tools/Send/Receive and it will then receive all new emails from the Optonline account.

What am I doing wrong? What do I need to change in order to get the new emails to Outlook automatically when I open Outlook?

Thanks

Nancy

Hi guys,

I have a friend that is using XP SP2 with Outlook Express and running Nortons Antivirus 2005...everything is updated, he can recieve email but he cannot send email. He gets this error "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection..." I checked his cable modem with another laptop and the other laptop works sending and recieving his email account fine...

He can recieve it fine, but not send. I disabled all firewalls including the Windows one, I checked all the incomming/outgoing settings and all is good. I also turned off the incomming and outgoing mail scanning in Nortons and same thing. I also completely disabled nortons and doesn't send and I even uninstalled Nortons and still can not send. I installed another program (thunderbird) and I still get the same error. I scanned the internet and it seems that Nortons seems to cause this problem alot?

Well, since I uninstalled the program and it's still not working , is there a way to repair the SMTP in Windows?

Thanks for any help!

Answer:Can't send email...outlook express

Hi kalisun

Can you post the exact error message? It usually has an error code number.

Does the ISP require authentication?
Check the account settings in Outlook Express:
Tools > Accounts > (Account Name) > Properties > Servers tab
Is the option: My Server requires authentication checked?
If so, click the Settings button, which option is selected there?

If Use same settings as my incoming mail server, is selected, select the option: Log on using:
and fill in the User Name and Password for the mail server.
Apply, OK to save and close and test it again.

Let us know if that makes a difference.

Dell Inspiron 6400/Vista Home Premium. Originally all was well, then had to recover using Recovery Disc because Manual was XP based and did not account for recovery in Vista. Email sending went "off". Finds the server but will not connect. After some help got into the Factory image on partition D, then all was well with emails.Had to recover again (don't ask - I am a wrinkly fiddler), but found that the Recovery partition had nothing in it. I had never touched it! Recovered with Dell Vista disc and their Drivers and Utilities disc. Now the problem is back. Found that it might be SSL, but the download "Reset.bat" is clearly written for XP; I could not use it in Vista.Any help would be appreciated. In the meantime I am having a go at Dell for providing Vista machines with XP manuals, and not even amendment slips to differntiate XP from Vista.

Help!

All of a sudden, I am unable to SEND email using Outlook [2003 SP1] from my domains that are hosted by Go Daddy.

My current settings are to use their SMTP server [smtpout.secureserver.net], checking the box that "Requires Authentication using Login and Password" and using Outgoing Server 25.

I have verified that this is NOT an ISP issue (I opted out of the SBC DSL Port 25 restriction).

I logged in to my Go Daddy account and RESET all of my email accounts.

When I run the TEST within Outlook, everything works fine!

However, when I send test emails, I get an Undeliverable message from System Administrator with the message:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'[email protected]' on 10/30/2006 12:27 PM
554 Message refused.

Hi,

I am wondering how to send an email to a list of people in an Access database. The email should have a message in the body, as well as a Word attachment.

I know how to do this using a mail merge in Word where I can send the email using the Word doc as the email body message or attach this Word doc to the email, and I can select the recipients from an Access db. I want to be able to do both - have a message in the body of the email and attach a Word doc. I don't see an option to do this when doing a mail merge in Word using an access db.

Is there a way I can do this?

Thanks!

Outlook 2003 keeps trying to send an email through one of the pop3 accounts I have set up. The mail fails due to a lack of authentication by Yahoo which is the account the mail is trying to use. It also blocks e-mails thru the same account, but I can send out thru other pop3 accounts set up in Outlook. When I check the sent items folder, there is no email there. My anti virus is update, so is my zone alarm firewall, and I have run Windows Defender and Adaware, neither of which find anything sinister.can anyone please advise on how I can track down the ghost e-mail and delete it? I would prefer not to remove the account as I will have to download hundreds of e-mails from the server down to my computer again.Thank you.

any idea?

Have you checked with your ISP tech support? If they have started blocking ports to reduce spam, etc. then you should have been notified that you needed to make a change in your email account settings. Check with your ISP first.

Answer:Can't send email in Outlook Express

I suspect not, this is quite a common issue with ISP supplied emails where you can still receive email but cannot send - the only way to send email is to be connected to one of their servers, as they have a block on the SMTP server, from the web.

Do they offer a webmail service, if you need to keep the email you could use the webmail to send email .

I know this is predominantly a Windows forum but given it's all MS, the 365 forum is pants and you guys are constantly so helpful I thought i'd give it a shot here.

We've got a main [email protected] email address (which is actually just my own as the boss, not currently a shared mailbox), then a few [email protected] addresses for individual staff members. Email is through 365 but we all use Outlook desktop as opposed to the webby version (well, 99% of the time anyway).

I want to grant the various staff members permission to be able to 'send as' [email protected] without actually sharing the whole [email protected] mailbox. Can that be done? If so, can somebody point me in the right direction or spell it out in layman's terms please? Feel like i'm going round in circles when it's probably very easy to achieve.

Answer:How to enable 'send as' in Outlook (Office 365 email)

Create a shared mailbox in O365 admin panel if not already created:

When done, add members by selecting the mailbox and selecting Edit members on the right pane (#1). When members have been correctly added / removed, select Edit more properties (#2):

Select Mailbox delegation, remove the user you don't want to give access to the mailbox from Full Access, leave the user in Send As:

Save the settings.

That's it. The user gets a notification about missing permissions when trying to open the mailbox, but can still send using the shared mailbox name:

I work as a part time administrative assistant for a professor at a University. In the past, he has sent and received his University email through Outlook, and his administrative assistants have sent, but have not been able to receive/read his email, through a Eudora account on a separate computer. Our university made major changes to the network this past week, and Eudora no longer works in this capacity, and the campus IT people state that we can no longer use Eudora, and that it's not possible to use Outlook in this capacity.Well...I'm not accepting 'not possible' as an answer just yet! Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how I can configure Outlook to function in this way? I am unable to receive messages in Outlook 2007. I can send without issue, but I cannot receive across a variety of email addresses with various port settings. Outlook was working without any issues until a few days ago and there were not any updates or installations that can be linked to this issue. I have tried removing the antivirus software entirely and I have disabled the firewall but still can’t receive messages. I do however receive emails on my blackberry from all email accounts. I have verified settings with my domain hosting company. When clicking on the “Test Account Settings” button on the “Internet E-mail Settings” page Outlook does not detect any issues however the test email is only received on the blackberry and not in Outlook. Outlook also does not show any errors when attempting to send and receive emails. Thanks for your help on this baffling problem.

I'm currently running Vista Ultimate. I've tried turning off my windows firewall and my anti-virus firewall. I have also played with the port setting from what I have read from google. Nothing has worked so far. So I was wondering if anyone here could possibly help me.

The settings I'm currently using mimic what my friends(XP Users) are using. I use to be able to send email but then it suddenly stopped working.

I would like to see if someone could provide me with an explanation about this problem I just had.
My boss was going on vacation this week and she wanted to be able to access her emails through Outlook, which she does at the office.
I signed her up with Earthlink dial up and I tested the connection and also checked to make sure that she was able to receive emails thru Outlook. When she arrived at her vacation location she was not able to receive nor send using her Outlook. I tried to help her thru phone call; she also contacted Earthlink and Yahoo Business Email, but after their help she was still not been able to use her Outlook, unfortunately. She did everything the tech support recommended her to do which was change the Incoming server address and Outgoing server address. Also, they had her change some of the advance configurations, like the SSL settings, and nothing. Anyone can give me some explanation why this has happened to her not being able to use her Outlook while away from her office?
Thanks!

Manolo

Answer:Outlook doesn't receive/send email

Hi Tallerpr

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums!

How was she connecting to the Internet? Dial-up? Wirelessly?
If she was not connected through Earthlink, then she would not be able to Send messages as relaying is prohibited by most ISP's.

As for receiving that is usually not the case. She should have been able to receive messages.
Though she should have been able to use the web mail server for Earthlink.

Without the exact error message, we can only guess.

I am attaching this excel sheet which has codes on sending email automatically on due date once the file is opened and then closes it as well. However there seems to be a problem as it doesn't send emails automatically and comes up with a error. It would be grateful if someone could correct the codes in the file.
Thank You

I moved yesterday and I am unable to send email through outlook express. I have never had this problem before. I have a new ISP that is Bellsouth. However, I can receive mail, but can't send. My mail is from the TDS POP3 server and in my email I have outgoing mail saying smtp.tds.net, as I use this email address the most. I can send and receive on my hotmail account. What is wrong? Does anyone have directions on how to fix this? I need help, as I need to be able to send through outlook.

Thanks

Answer:I can't send outgoing Email on Outlook Express

You have to set the incoming and outgoing servers correctly for each address. BellSouth uses mail.bellsouth.net for the incoming server and mail.bellsouth.net for the outgoing server. Your outgoing server should not be smtp.tds.net for your BellSouth e-mail account. Do you still have a TDS ISP e-mail account? Or was it deactivated when you switched to BellSouth (which happens nearly all the time).

I am using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. When I am in my home-city, I can send/receive emails without problem. However, when I travel abroad, I can only receive emails through Outlook 2010; can not send emails. Any ideas?

Answer:Outlook 2010 - cant send email when overseas

How is your E-Mail provider? If its your internet provider, it's possible that the outgoing server is only used when you are connected to their internet service.

Check with them if they have an additional outgoing (SMTP) server that you can use while you are not on their service.

Is it feasible to automatically send a copy of an email from one machine to another address. For example an email sent from Peter to Fred is also copied to Joe.This is not to spy on anyone, in case you're wondering, but to keep a third individual in touch with what's happening with particular communications that are always sent from one paticular computer. All parties agree this what they wish to do.Any incoming emails are copied automaticlly to the third party but I can't find a rule to do it on the way out. This is on a small peer to peer network of about six computers without Exchange

Answer:Outlook - auto send copy email

Make a Distribution List in your address book with Fred and Joe listed.

I am using Outlook 2007 (IMAP) and a Hotmail account. Each time I send an email. I receive a copy in my In Box. This just recently started to happen. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Answer:Outlook 2007 copies me on every email I send

I don't use Outlook at all, but I think it has pretty much all the features of Thunderbird.. If so, then you may be using one of the following account settings:

a. auto add cc your email address;

b. auto add Bcc your email address;

c. when sending place a copy in your inbox.

Hi - I've setup a google apps for work gmail account in outlook (need to use outlook as have loads of rules and local folders i need to use). I have an alias setup in gmail, but need a way of being able to send from this alias too. There is a dropdown in the 'send' box but it only lets me select existing accounts, and if I manually override this it still gets ignored.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
