Email won't attach and send pictures anymore

Question: Email won't attach and send pictures anymore

I am using windows XP. My email is Outlook Express. I used to be able to right click a photo and send to mail recipient and my email would open with the picture attached. Now my email opens but with no picture attachment ready to send. Just my inbox? I'm sure it's a setting somewhere but I can't find it. Could someone give me a clue before I pull my last hair out! lol

Preferred Solution: Email won't attach and send pictures anymore

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Outlook 2003 recd's emails W/attach but wont send an email W/attach on my W7 Pro 32 bit SSD Laptop.

All of a sudden I'm not able to send an email w/attach(s) from Outlook 2003. I've checked the box to send rec msgs instantly & checked COM add-ins to no avail.

"Now" I can't send emails "any" emails W/WO attachments because an email w/attach is stuck in the outbox & I can't delete it even though I deleted an email w/attach rec'd1/2 hr ago???

Any solution to this conundrum??

I used to be able to go to my picture folder and right click a picture and choose SEND TO by email. Now a window pops up with a picture sizing option, and when I go thru that, it appears to be doing something, but Outlook does not open.

How do I resolve this issue?

Answer:Pictures will not attach to Outlook 2010 with a right click send to

Hello Alicia,

Normally after you go through the "picture size" bit and click on the "Attach" button, you should see a new email window open after a moment in Outlook with the picture attached.

The window may be hidden behind other windows, but you should see Outlook's icon on the taskbar if opened.

If you don't see it, check your drafts in Outlook to see if it may be there.

I have a word document that includes a form the user must fill in. I want to create a button that will do all of the following:
1. Update all fields
2. Attach the updated word document to an email
3. Enter an address I have stored in the macro into the To field of the email.

I have one module which does the first part:
Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim oStory As Range
For Each oStory In ActiveDocument.StoryRanges
oStory.Fields.Update
If oStory.StoryType <> wdMainTextStory Then
While Not (oStory.NextStoryRange Is Nothing)
Set oStory = oStory.NextStoryRange
oStory.Fields.Update
Wend
End If
Next oStory
Set oStory = Nothing
End Sub

I found that if I add this to the before End Sub it attaches the updated Word document to an email:
Application.Options.SendMailAttach = True 'Or False
ActiveDocument.SendMail

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

So I tried another tact. I have the email address as a hyperlink in the document, and set a bookmark at the hyperlink. Then I created a module that will go to the bookmark and open the hyperlink. However, this will not add the document as an attachment:

Sub Open_Hyperlink()
Selection.GoTo What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="hyperlink"
With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.DefaultSorting = wdSortByName
.ShowHidden = False
End With

Selection.Range.Hyperlinks(1).Follow NewWindow:=False, AddHistory:=True
End Sub

So then I found this bit of coding on the web, and tried imp... Read more

Answer:Word Macro to attach doc to email, then send address email

I found a solution, but I think it is a bit bulky. It seems to work but I'd love to know if there is a simpler solution:
Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim oStory As Range
For Each oStory In ActiveDocument.StoryRanges
oStory.Fields.Update
If oStory.StoryType <> wdMainTextStory Then
While Not (oStory.NextStoryRange Is Nothing)
Set oStory = oStory.NextStoryRange
oStory.Fields.Update
Wend
End If
Next oStory
Set oStory = Nothing

ActiveDocument.Save

MsgBox "Thank you. Your order has been sent", vbOKOnly, "Thank you. Your order has been sent"
Dim bStarted As Boolean
Dim oOutlookApp As Outlook.Application
Dim oItem As Outlook.MailItem
On Error Resume Next
If Len(ActiveDocument.Path) = 0 Then 'Document has not been saved
ActiveDocument.Save 'so save it
End If
Set oOutlookApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application")
If Err <> 0 Then 'Outlook isn't running
Set oOutlookApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
bStarted = True
End If

Set oItem = oOutlookApp.CreateItem(olMailItem)
With oItem
.To = "[email protected]"
.Subject = "Promo Order" '
.Body = "Thank you for your order"
.Attachments.Add Source:=ActiveDocument.FullName, Type:=olByValue

End If
Set oItem = Nothing
Set oOutlookApp = Nothing
End Sub

I installed Windows Live Mail but didn't like it. So, I uninstalled it and reverted back to Windows Mail. Now, when I select some pictures and right-click, send to> mail recipient I am allowed to set the size of the attached pictures but the mail client never opens. Instead the attachement sizer window just closes and I'm back to my desktop. I tried setting the defaults in Windows Mail but that didn't seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks.

Answer:Reverted to Windows Mail and now I can't attach pictures to email

1. In Vista... click "Start" (the orb with the flag, bottom left of your screen.

2. Click "Default Programs"

3. Click "Set your default programs"

4. Click "Windows Mail"

5. Click "Set this program as default

Now you should be able to right click your picture, click send and it will now open Windows Mail for you.

I recently up-dated the phone as suggested by Windows application and this is now the result...I cannot share pictures through e-mail... it seems that in background something is happening, but I am redirected back to the screen with the picture, with no further progress on sending the picture...I still can share pictures with Messenger after this up-date.
Note that I was able to send pictures to e-mail before up-date.

I have Vista, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ 2.21GHz, RAM: 2.00GB, System Type: 32-bit operating system, using Explorer 9 (yes, I know it's old and I also can't download a higher Explorer).  I use Windows Photo Gallery for my pictures from my Kodak EasyShare Z7590.  I have been using this for many years and have not had any problems.  I have emailed pictures before, no problems.  I have also mailed videos from MediaImpressions with no problems, and put videos on Facebook.  For some reason, now my computer will not do any of those things.  When I sent a picture today to a friend, she says it comes up as MMDI, or something like that, and will not open the picture.  I have to copy my pictures to My Documents in order to get them on Facebook.  I haven't a clue as to what is going on.  Even though I've had a computer for a long time, I still do not know how to "change" any settings and am scared to try something on my own for fear of making it worse.  Can anyone help?  Oh, and I also sent a picture to my laptop (which is newer), and it will not open it.  Thanks in advance.Debby

Answer:Cannot send pictures thru email

Here is a link for the manual.Kodak EasyShare Z7590 The camera takes pictures n different levels of detail. If you set it to the highest detail, the size of each image will be very large. But tarts OK. But you have to copy  each image to the  'My Pictures' folder is a smaller file format. If not, the e-mail program will refuse to send such a large photo.Notice that the Windows Photo Gallery allows you to adjust the file size of a photo before you send it.How to Send Photos Via Email (Windows)Hope this helps.  EDIT:Size limit on e-mail attachmentsHotmail and Outlook have limits as low as 10Mb (per file attachment).

I have Windows 7 with Window Live mail. Since I did the update for Windows Live Mail, the pictures that I try to send through email are smaller with portions of the picture cut off. They don't allow the full view of a picture to be posted anymore. How can I correct this problem? I did not experience this problem before. Thank you for your support, Tommy.

Answer:Portion of email pictures are cut off, not a full view anymore?

Ok, I just found this out. For those who are experiencing the same problem that I thought I did. There is no problem after all. If you upgraded your Windows Live Mail Account, your email messages now goes to a place called: SkyDrive. So when your email messages opens up by who ever you sent them to, it will open up with SkyDrive. To see the full view of the picture you sent them, they just have to double click on the picture, it will get larger with a full view. Pretty neat feature after all. This info may be of some help to some of you. Good luck, Tommy.

I have lost my SEND PICTURES VIA EMAIL DIALOG BOX. Can anyone tell me where to locate this box to change the settings so that it will start popping up again?

Answer:Send Pictures Via Email Dialog Box

At what point are you referring to that this "dialogue" appears?
Have you lost it from the right click menu, ie when you right click an image?
When viewing images/photos/files etc in "my pictures" or "my documents", to the left of the window is a column of different tasks that you can perform when you have highlighted a file. In this column is the option to "email this file", have you lost this option?
Are you sure you have the tasks on view? Click the headings in the columns to unhide/hide the tasks.
If you use the right click option, choose "send to" then "mail recipient".

If I'm off track here lol let me know ;)

I'm answering my own question because I finally found the answer. This problem has to do with an AOL setting. To fix it, on the AOL screen toolbar, click on Settings. Then you will see a list of settings and under A, choose AOL as Default and click that on. Then you will see a small window called Association Settings and if you click OK on this window, the problem will be solved. I hope this helps someone as I have spent several months trying to find the solution.

Hi there, am new to this forum and to VBA so be gentle

I have written/borrowed some code where I attach a worksheet in a temporary file and then attach it in a mail via Lotus Notes.

The problem for me is that I have users that are on different Office versions, 2003 and 2010 - how do I write that so if recognizes both versions ?

The code is a such:

Sub email()

Dim stFileName As String
Dim vaRecipients As Variant
Dim noSession As Object
Dim noDatabase As Object
Dim noDocument As Object
Dim noEmbedObject As Object
Dim noAttachment As Object
Dim stAttachment As String

'Copy the active sheet to a new temporarily workbook.
With ActiveSheet
.Copy
stFileName = .Range("A1").Value
End With

stAttachment = stPath & "\" & stFileName & ".xls"

'delete email button
ActiveSheet.Shapes("EmailBtn").Delete

'Save and close the temporarily workbook.
With ActiveWorkbook
.SaveAs stAttachment
.Close
End With

'Create the list of recipients.
vaRecipients = VBA.Array("***@ccc.com")

'Instantiate the Lotus Notes COM's Objects.
Set noSession = CreateObject("Notes.NotesSession")
Set noDatabase = noSession.GETDATABASE("", "")

'If Lotus Notes is not open then open the mail-part of it.
If noDatabase.IsOpen = False Then noDatabase.OPENMAIL

'Create the e-mail and the attachment.
Set noDocum... Read more

Answer:Excel VBA - attach and send .xls and .xlsx

Nordahl,

You may be able to replace this line of code:
stAttachment = stPath & "\" & stFileName & ".xls"

With this:
If Application.Version = "14.0" Then
stAttachment = stPath & "\" & stFileName & ".xlsx"
ElseIf Application.Version = "11.0" Then
stAttachment = stPath & "\" & stFileName & ".xls"
endif

This will select the version you are creating from(assuming you are in Excel when running the macro), I am not sure you can control the version received.

Did not find answer when I searched.I have Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, and IE6, SP2.When I go to a web site and click on File, Send page by email or Send link by email, I get the message box entitled Enter Network Password, asking for user name and password.   How can I get it to go right to the Hot Mail message box so I can send?   In Tools, Internet Options, Programs, the Email section shows Hot Mail, so it should go right to Hot Mail.If I change the Internet Options, Programs, Email section to Yahoo Mail, instead of going to my Yahoo mail, I get a message box with the title Microsoft Exchange Setup Wizard, but it should take me to my Yahoo Mail.Anyone know how I can fix these two to work right?   Thanks much.Anna Ruth

Hello all,

This is my second day with this laptop which was sold to me without the type of software I am use to, similar to a Latitude or Inspiration. I have no adobe or acrobat reader or other programs to assist me.

Here is my issue, I have downloaded photos into my picture file, I need to attach a photo to an email using hotmail and the way I have done it thousands of times prior to this. I am unable to access the photos, when I click in picutres after I have clicked on the email attachment prompt, the file states no phots available. When I go to my picutures without attempting to attach a file I have no problem finding the photos.

Please help, I have a gut feeling I am going to have to purchase some software as the salesman at dell just told me my computer does not have the hardware and software I am accustom to. My fault for not being deligent enough, buyer beware, or besmart.

Thank you,
Jim

What's gone wrong with my Windows fax and picture viewer? This has never happened to me before. When I try to e-mail a photograph, loads of icons, images, pictures from my temporary Internet files tag themselves on the end. So I e-mail one photograph and 50 or more images - usually from the last website I have looked at -are also there when you scroll through. If I delete the temporary files, they go, but then the whole irritating business starts all over again. HELP !!

Answer:Temp Internet files attach to my e-mailed pictures

Looks like a bug. You have found the fix with deleting the temp files. Out of interest have you deleted the files from %temp%? If not from run type %temp% and delete the contents.If the above fails another option is to disable the Fax and pic viewer and download Ifranview - a better app. click hereTo disable it, from Run - type regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dllHit enter. Only do this if you have downloaded Ifranview or another app and are happy with it.

Outlook email client has a very useful feature where you can 'attach item' which can be another email to the one you are sending . This can be very useful when you want to refer to this email in the new one.
Thunderbird, as far as I can see, does not have this feature.
I know it can be done byopening the email , select all , copy and paste but that is time consuming.
Does anyone know of any addon or other way which can achieve this ?
Thx,
-keevill-

When writing an email and want to send an article from the Internet Express side, how do I attach it to the email??

Answer:How to attach something to an email??

Hiya

I take it you are using Outlook Express. There is a paper clip that when yoy place the mouse over it it says Attachment. Then you browse in your computer for it.

If its a Web page, you can do the same if its downloaded or you can type in the URL in the body of the message.

Wanted to send a friend several files that were in one folder. I sent them fine , but wouldn't it be easier to just send the 'folder' instead of having to click on each file? Using I.E.6 and latest version of Outlook Express.

Answer:Is there a way to attach a 'folder' to an email?

Yes. If you have a program such as Winzip, you can right click on a Folder and zip it. You can then attach the compressed(zipped) folder.

I have been asked to save some info to Notepad & attach it to my email reply, (trying to fix my mbam problem) How do I do this, please?Cannot seem to find help anywhere with this....Thanks in advanceI am running Windows XP PRO SP 3.0 32 bit

Answer:How to attach a Notepad doc to an email

As best I know "all" email utilities (on-line - pop3 - email application, and MS Office\Outlook & Express) allow you to attach a file or folder.Which email application are you actually using?When you create your Notepad document you simply save it, and remember where you put it. That is the location where you go to when attaching the file.You may not have notepad installed, possibly you have wordpad instead? Both create text files (txt) so either would do.To start either application, go to Start\run and then type notepad or wordpad and press enter.If you don't have either installed they can be downloaded for free.

Using Outlook Express 6 in Windows XP SP2, when I try to attach a digital photo file to an email, it attaches in the full size (full number of KB), which is too large--takes too long to send and receive and won't fit on a page. When I open the picture in MyPictures (in Word 2002) and click on "send this by email", a form to send an email pops up. I can enter an address and a message, but there is no way to send that email. I know there is a way to do this because of pictures I have received, but I can't find it. Thank you for the help.

Answer:Attach images in email

When using IE and I want to attach a file or photo within a folder to an email, a few of "MY Documents" folders don't show up when I click "attach" and the IE box opens for downloads showing all my folders in "MY Documents" or "My Pictures." All the folders are there when I use my computer for Office or Windows Photo Gallery. I downloaded another browser and tried it. That works fine but I like IE and don't want to switch. Right now to attach most photos or a file to an email, I have to save it to my desktop so I can get to it to attach to an email. It's only certain folders not showing to try and download/attach from "My Pictures" and "My Documents." I've tried everything I know and have read on Tips for solving....IE. I very novice about computers! Hope someone can help. I can't figure out how to make a screen shot of the browser window that opens when you try to attach a file so I hope my explanation is enough.

Hi,

Suddenly I cannot attach pictures to email using Windows Picture & Fax Viewer, Paint Shop Pro or any other program. At first I thought it was Windows P & F Viewer's fault, but when I tried to send an image using the "Send Mail" option in PSP too, I realized it is a general problem. Windows P & F Viewer does open the resizing box, but after that, nothing happens.

I posted my problem in a Microsoft Group where I was helped, but no solution could be found.

When I tried sending a picture using Windows P & F Viewer using Netscape as default, I got this error message:

"Command Line Usage is Incorrect"

Even using the "E-Mail Page" option in IE does nothing. It's like suddenly the option of attaching anything to an email has disappeared from my system.

I sure hope someone has had this problem here and can help. I have a new grandson and really love the option of resizing before sending of Windows P & F Viewer.

Help!!

Thank you,

Glo
I even performed a Repair install of XP and no go.

I can no longer attach files (of any size or type) to outgoing web-based emails. I have tried attaching various files in Yahoo Mail and Gmail. Both give me a "working" or "scanning and attaching" message and either time out entirely or never get past the attaching screen. I have not recently installed any software or updates, though Windows did download a new "Definition Update for Windows Defender" recently.

I tried uninstalling AVG 8.0 but this did not work. Since uninstalling AVG I have no other anti-spyware running aside from Windows Defender. I tried clearing all cookies, temp files, etc and resetting my browser to a lower security setting. Nothing works. I get the exact same problem in Firefox 3.0.5 as well as IE 7. I have added Gmail as well as Yahoo Mail as exceptions to the pop-up blocker.

I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit on an Acer PC. I have no problem downloading attachments from emails I receive however. Please help as I must be able to email attachments for work.

Answer:Suddenly Cannot Attach Files to Email

Have you tried getting your anti-virus up then disabling windows defender temporarily (anti virus up for protection reasons) then try attatching something to an e-mail. If it works then you should try to either keep the defender down, with some other form of protection, or you should just try to troubleshoot the defender.

sry if this is in the wrong spot, wasn't sure where to put ti lol but some friends of mine have their own business and once in a while they have computer issues and ask me to help out if I can. So they asked me an access question and I really couldn't help them out... I'll do my best here to explain it but Iv never used access so obviously I don't know much about it lol but here goes, you open access and within access they open a file which opens, what seems like another program where they can see and search for their invoices from customers and that sorta thing. Now their question is when they have an invoice open how can they attach that invoice to an email and send it to a customer? I can't even figure out where these invoices are being saved to... prolly seems like a dumb question but like i said I'v never used access so yea lol any help would be great

Answer:how do I attach access files to an email?

Get a PDF printer like CutePDF or PrimoPDF and have them print the invoice to PDF. When those programs are installed they basically include a PostScript PDF printer which creates a PDF file. Then they just attach that PDF to their email and send it.

Hello.

Running Win XP Home Edition. Three year old PC. Cable modem. Never encountered this problem before: I can attach .doc or .xls files to any email and send it - no problem. But if I attach .jpg or .mp3 files - anything big - I lose my internet connection until it resolves itself within the usual 30 seconds-or-so. I used to be able to send I think up to 10 megs at a time worth of .mp3's from my Yahoo webmail account in a single email, never had a problem - until this started up. Mind you this started happening about the same time I installed an internet filter on my PC - I'm not sure, this was months ago, and I did notice the problem starting some months ago - a coincidence?

I disabled the filter - still had the problem. I deleted the filter - rebooted and everything: still have the problem. I checked with my ISP - the guy said they could help me if this were a problem arising from use of THEIR email account, but they didn't know of a problem with other webmail accounts. Check with Yahoo, he said. Asking Yahoo anything is like throwing a bottle out to sea with a message in it. Yes, I tried it too. What else can I tell you... running the Windows firewall? That can't be it. Norton Antivirus - hell I'm about to start looking at Active Desktop functions... Help!

Thanks.

Answer:Can't attach large files to email

I forgot to mention that even trying to send an email (with "large" attachment) via a service site like yousendit.com, that still doesn't work - lose the internet connection as well. Therefore the problem seems to be in the uploading part. Thanks.

a. how are you accessing your email - an email client (program) - which one? - a browser?
b. suggest you post a screenshot (use the icon to the left of the video icon above your post).

Hi-- I recently received an e-mail with an image (painting) not "attached" (hidden) but rather inserted and viewable with the text. I asked sender how this was done and was told to "right click the mouse in the body of the email, one of the options is 'insert a picture.' " I tried this and an insert option did not appear.

If I could accomplish this insertion it would be an extremely eye-catching and useful tool (I'm an artist) in communication with very busy recipients, who wouldn't have to open an attachment. Does anyone have a clue as to how to achieve this? Thanks, folks

Answer:how to insert image in email--not attach

In Outlook Express, click insert, picture, browse to the pic you want and it will appear in the body of the text wherever the cursor was before you clicked insert.

Hi guys,

I am finding it difficult attaching office documents and pdf's in my email. when i attach them, it comes up with errors meaning that the data is unreadable. I upgraded to office 2002 not too long ago and i don't know if this started the problem. I reinstalled offce 98 and the problem still persists. I installed Norton antivirus and Mcafee and have removed the option that allows for documents to be scanned b4 opening.

Whenever i open a document (word, excel, powerpoint and access) it says "requesting virus scan" which means that somehow its scanning the documents making them unreadable when sent via email. this never use to happen. Is there anyway of fixing this problem via the registry or something?

all help would be appreciated.

I can no longer copy pictures to CD from "My Pictures" using Windows XP. I used to be able to awhile ago. I have tried everything to get it back. A couple of days ago, when I put in the CD and clicked "copy to CD" it would give me a box in the top left hand corner that said "copy here." It didn't seem to recognize that I even had a CD in the drive. After researching, I then thought it was a conflict with Roxio, so I thought maybe if I deleted Roxio it would work. No. So then I reinstalled Roxio from my recycling bin. Now when I try to copy to CD there is not even an option to "Copy to CD". If I try to get around that by then using the "copy folder" option and scrolling to choose where to copy, it doesn't give me the option to use my CD drive. Help!!!!

Answer:Can't copy pictures to CD anymore

The "Send to" option always works for me:
Select the files you want to copy, right click the selection, select "SendTo" CD drive

Answer:Can't get my pictures off my camera anymore

reinstall the drivers for the camera...or get a 6in1 card reader at wallgreens for 15$ and screw the camera drivers. i prefer the 2nd option anyway. i lost the cable for my camera the day i bought it. lol

I didn't change anything, but when I plug my camera into the usb port, Windows won't d/l the pictures anymore. I have to manually go into the folder on the camera, cut, then paste where I want them. Obviously this is a pita. I'm using a Sony Cyber shot that has it's own program called PMB, and it also will not automatically come up anymore either. I can't even manually do it from that program.

I can hear the sound it makes when a device is plugged in, but neither the W7 picture d/l nor the PMB program will function.

Answer:W7 won't d/l pictures from camera anymore.

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the PMB program? Check Sony's website with your camera model and see if they have an updated version of the software available for download.

Different email provider? Or can you just copy and paste the text through the email?

I routinely attach files to outgoing email messages sent from Outlook 2002 (Outlook in Office XP).  Sometime around last spring I found I was not able to attach certain files but was able to attach others of the same type and from the same directory.  Example:  I have a folder named "Info for Models".  Amongst files in the folder are "Info1_Invitation.pdf", "Info2_More_Details.pdf", "Info3_Model_Guide.pdf", "Sample_Resume.pdf" and so on.The trouble began when I attempted to attach my Info1 file and my Sample Resume file to an email message I was preparing to send out.  I got this message:  "Can't create file: Info1_Invitation.pdf.  Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder."This only occurred for this one file.  I could attach the other files.  I renamed Info1_Invitation.pdf to Info1a_Invitation.pdf and then was able to attach the renamed file successfully.Then a few days later another file failed to attach.  I found I was unable to attach "Sample_Resume.pdf" to an outgoing message.  I searched the Internet for cures.  I wound up changing the pointer to "Temporary Internet Files" from "C:\Documents and Settings\dmckeen\temp\Temporary Internet Files" to "C:\temp\Temporary Internet Files".  I made the change from &qu... All of a sudden this evening I can no longer attach multiple images/files to an email. Neither does the "Control-A" or click on a file hold "shift" and click on another file work.

Also when I attach a single file instead of giving me the progression bar it almost instantly indicated the file is attached.

Of course this is irritating as multiple time a day I will send emails with images attached and I have to have this feature working.

Windows XP SP2:

It now takes 3 minutes or so to attach any size file to an email program.

It is the same for both Outlook Express and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Everything else seems to be working okay.

I suspect it may be associated with filepicker but I am not sure.

Have Norton firewall and Avast antivirus running, and have run Ad-aware and Spybot.

Couldn't find any solutions in seach engines.

Hi,

I am currently unable to attach any sort of file when composing an email within Yahoo. When I attempt to attach files the browser will hang until I cancel the message or return to the previous page. I have a 25Mb account, of which I am only using around 50%. I am able to receive emails with attachments and I can open and/or save these successfully. I do not encounter this problem within my Hotmail email account.

I am not able to pinpoint exactly when this problem started within my Yahoo account.

A few things I have installed on my PC:
* Internet Explorer v6.0
* McAfee Internet Security Suite 2004 v6.0
* Tiscali Boradband connection

Any help gratefully received!

Cheers...

Answer:Unable to attach files when using Yahoo email

There was an issue with McAfee....don't know if it applies to web mail but you could check to see if you have this file: McVSEscn.exe.

It needs to be turned off according to McAfee support.
I don't use McAfee, so I can't offer anymore details.

I saved a file to my desktop/documents folder. When writing an email, I clicked on the paperclip (attach file) icon and it brought up the drop down menu of everything. When I clicked on the documents folder and then searched for that same file it didn't appear. It still appears on the desktop folder though.
So, how can I ensure whatever I save gets saved everywhere or is findable when I try to use email attachment?

Hello all.

I keep getting those two small boxes messages on my laptop once I attach a word file in my email to send. What this means and how to get rid of it as its annoying. My word is original and not pirated. Plus I upgraded my Window 7 to window 10 which kept popping in and it's free from the Internet. Pls advise.

i tried to attach but the net is weak enough to upload and thats why duplicate. I will write what the two boxes show:

first one: says: u cant close the Microsoft office box because a dialogue box is open. click ok, switch to word, and then close the dialogue box.

second one: says: which is behind the first box: word has encountered a problem.

and nothing worked.

Does anybody know why I can't email my contacts to someone as a pst file in Outlook 2003?

I can do it in 2002 no problem...

Actually, I can send the contents of the folder if I select all the contacts and drag them onto the email page, but not as a pst file.

Is this something you can't do in Outlook 2003?

Thanks

The "browse" button does not open for me to search and install photos or files to my emails. I also can no longer right click and save photos. Both problems began at the same time. I have been able to attach the same photos prior to this happening. I have cleared the cache but this hasn't helped. I asked Yahoo for assistance but they are unable to offer any suggestions. Would appreciate any advice .
Thanks
