I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have a problem with Build 10512 on my Lumia 930. I switched to this bulid last weekend and did a reset by going to setting --> system --> about. Afterwards I didn't restore any data and started from scratch. Installed some apps and deleted some as well. Two days ago I got the message from my carrier, that I just used all my mobile data for this month. Due to the fact, that I was using WIFI during most of the time when I was using the phone I was very suppriesed. So I went to data sense and noticed that there was an entry "unistalled app" which had a high data usage. As I was looking at data sense during the day I just noticed, that the amount of data was growing.
Because I didn't know which apps this could be I did another reseted yesterday by doing the same steps mentioned above. This time I started from scratch again but didn't deleted any app. However today I again find the entry "uninstalled app" in data sense, which again is still unsing data (about 100 MB during the day, no WIFI). Has anybody an idea what this is and how I can stop this?

Answer:I uninstalled app mobile data usage Mobile Preview Build 10512 Lumia 930

I just noticed that too in my Data-sense. It has only used 116 Mb in about a week though, so I'm not too concerned about it yet.
Time to add some feedback :)

Answer:Can we still side load Android apps on Windows 10 mobile on developer mode??

No, you cannot sideload Android apps on W10M anymore. As it needs the Android sub-system which Microsoft had loaded onto W10M but removed soon after. No one, probably, has tried to do that since then.
All the tutorials you'll find on the internet explaining the sideloading process are from mid-2015 when that was possible.

Hello Windows Insiders!

Today we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16275 for PC to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring only (not Skip Ahead). Note that if you joined Skip Ahead and leave it to take this build, you will be unable to re-join Skip Ahead. You?ll notice that this build includes a bunch of good bug fixes Insiders will enjoy.

Hello Windows Insiders!

Today we are excited to release Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16251 for PC to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring! The same build will be available for Insiders who opted in to Skip Ahead. We are also releasing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 15235 to Insiders in the Fast ring. We won?t have a new Windows Server Insider Preview build for Windows Insiders this week.

What?s New in Build 16251 For PC

Windows lets you link your phone and PC
You may remember at Build we talked about PCs and phones working better together. With Build 16251, we are introducing the first set of features that enable ?linking? your phone to your PC. This build?s scenario is focused on cross-device web-browsing. Today, we?re asking for you Windows Insiders to help us test this experience out using your Android phones. Support for iPhone is coming very soon, stay tuned.

To get started, after installing today?s new build on your PC, go to Settings > Phone and link your phone. Having you link your phone ensures that your sessions from your phone are continued only on to the PC that you?ve chosen. After adding your phone to be linked, you will receive an SMS from us directing you to install a test application called ?Microsoft Apps? for Android that completes the link between your phone and PC and enables one of our first cross device browsing scenarios.

After you?ve linked your phone, just go to your phone and start browsing the web. When y... Read more

Today we are excited to release Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16257 for PC to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring and also in Skip Ahead! We are also releasing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 15237 to Insiders in the Fast ring.

We won?t have a new Windows Server Insider Preview build for Windows Insiders this week.

Eye Control (beta)
Yesterday, we announced Eye Control, which makes Windows 10 more accessible by empowering people with disabilities to operate an on-screen mouse, keyboard, and text-to-speech experience using only their eyes. The experience requires a compatible eye tracker, like the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C, which unlocks access to the Windows operating system to be able to do the tasks one could previously accomplish with a physical mouse and keyboard. We are starting by supporting the EN-US keyboard layout, and we are looking to expand to more keyboard layouts in the future. We are excited to release this experience as a beta and would love your feedback!

Setting up Eye Control:
Own or purchase a Tobii Eye Tracker 4C (Coming next will be support for Tobii Dynavox PCEye Mini, PCEyePlus, EyeMobile Plus, and I-series.)
Download and update to Tobii?s Core eye tracking hot fix release 2.10.11.6458 and run calibration with your own profile
Check for Windows Updates; the new Tobii Eye Tracker HIDClass Driver should be found on Windows Update and installed automatically.
Make sure your Tobii ... Read more

Hello Windows Insiders!

Today we are excited to release Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16232 for PC to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring! We are also releasing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 15228 to Insiders in the Fast ring. Earlier this week, we announced new end-to-end security features coming with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and this build for PC includes some of those new security features.

A note about app updates
In order to provide Windows customers with the highest quality inbox apps possible, we will pause testing new versions of our inbox apps with Windows Insiders. This means that Insiders will not receive app updates from the Windows Store for our inbox apps that are newer than the apps included in the build. Insiders may notice that some features we were testing in our inbox apps ? including recent updates to the Photos app ? will temporarily disappear. This is because some of our inbox apps won?t have all the latest new features without getting an update from the Store. It is critical that Insiders are experiencing the same version of Windows that will be released as the default version for all Windows users. Insiders will once again start receiving app updates in the very near future. As always, your feedback will help us tremendously to define the overall Windows experience and insure the quality of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is excellent for our customers.

Hello Windows Insiders!

Today we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16288 for PC to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring only (not Skip Ahead). As we mentioned previously, we are now at the point of the development cycle for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update where our focus is now on stabilization for release to the world. This means that we are releasing new builds to Insiders more quickly and that these builds will include mostly bug fixes. You?ll notice that this build continues to include a bunch of good bug fixes Insiders will enjoy.

On Build 16288, you will notice that the watermark at the lower right-hand corner of the desktop has disappeared. You will also see that the OS now reports as ?Version 1709? which is the official version number for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update release. However, this is NOT the final build as we?re not done yet. We?re just now beginning the phase of checking in final code to prepare for the final release. So we will have more builds to release to Windows Insiders between now and then. And the desktop watermark may re-appear in these builds.

We are also releasing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 15250 to Insiders in the Fast ring.

Today, we released a new Windows 10 Preview Build of the SDK and the Mobile Emulator to be used in conjunction with Windows 10 Insider Preview (Build 16278 or greater). The Preview SDK Build 16278 contains bug fixes and under development changes to the API surface area.

The Preview SDK and Mobile Emulator can be downloaded from developer section on Windows Insider.

For feedback and updates to the known issues, please see the developer forum. For new developer feature requests, head over to our Windows Platform UserVoice.

Things to note:
This build works in conjunction with previously released SDKs and Visual Studio 2017. You can install this SDK and still also continue to submit your apps that target Windows 10 Creators build or earlier to the Windows Store.
The Windows SDK will now formally only be supported by Visual Studio 2017 and greater. You can download the Visual Studio 2017 here.
Known Issues:
Compilation fails on non-Windows 10 platforms

When building apps with the minimum target platform version set to 10.0.16278.0 you get the build error:

?The program can?t start because api-ms-win-eventing-classicprovider-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.?

This will occur if the minimum target platform version is set to 10.0.16278.0. To work around this, edit your project file and change the version to a previous released SDK. For example:

<WindowsTargetPlatformMinVersion>10.0.10586.... Read more

I just learned that this is even remotely possible, so I would like to make it work. I'm on a Lumia 950XL (not Insider) and would love for the Mobile hotspot to automatically turn on when my phone connects to my car via Bluetooth. I want it to turn on because I have an iPod Touch in the car (that is always connected via USB to the car) for music playback. I would like that iPod Touch to be able to stream Spotify and use my 950XL's hotspot for the Internet connection. Is this possible?
- My car does not have Bluetooth music streaming, so this is why I have to depend on the iPod because my car does have iPod integration (ugh)

Just to be clear
This is a fan based News and Discussion site. It is in no way run by Microsoft, Lumia or any developer.
For any specific App it is up to that Apps developer to publish and maintain it for Windows Phone. We have absolutely no control over that.
This is really beyond the scope of Ask a Question where we try to solve time critical issue that affect devices functioning properly.
If you want to have a concrete discussion on this topic I urge you to join the site and start a two way conversation with users in an appropriate area of the board.

Please help. I have currently the latest build of windows 10586.71 on my Lumia 435 dual but I have experienced a few issues not experienced in build.63 (which was the best build so far)
1. Poor wifi and data connections. Sometimes I get interrupted connections even if I have full signal strengths.
2. Phone getting off when I try to make a call. This happened once.
3. Some apps crashes when I try to open/launch them. I had to completely uninstall and reinstall them, to open. Also note that more than 6 apps have been affected.
4.Getting difficult to download some apps from the store, (whether on WiFi or using data bundles) most those I have previously uninstalled due to #3 above. The system still shows that they are available on phone even if I had uninstalled them and restarted the phone!? l never experienced this on the previous builds I.e builds .29, .36 or .63
5. Worst of all, the notification centre shows I have 'new message notifications' . If I try to open/ touch on the notification, the phone freezes up to 30 seconds. This have happened a few times. 3 times so far.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO SORT OUT THIS?
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!
kind regards,
Jackson.

Hi guys!
I'm currently a Lumia 640 LTE user. I'm very satisfied with this unit's performance and very impressed with windows 10 mobile despite it's occasional hiccups and persisting bugs, especially after coming from windows phone 8.1 with the Cherry Mobile Alpha Luxe. An acquaintance of mine is selling his Xiaomi Mi4 at an affordable price and although I despise the brand because of it's poor customer support (based on my personal experience with the Mipad), I'm thinking of buying it just to try out W10M on a premium hardware. My concern, however is that I am not so sure if the version of the W10M ROM available for the Mi4 is the old one or is it constantly updated and still updatable to current builds. Can anybody please shed some light on this? Thanks!

Answer:What is the latest build available for the Xiaomi mi4 on windows 10 mobile rom?

I have recently replace my 640 LTE with a Mi4 (the cheapest LTE versin, with 2Gb RAM) and goes much better, I Updated it to the last insider version in the fast ring and I'm happy with it.
Just one thing, only LTE versions of Mi4 had windows 10 ROM

Hey. This is my first time posting here! I have a unlocked Lumia 930 CV-000-HK for Hong Kong (I'm in Pakistan). I've been having lots of trouble upgrading to the 10515 build. I reset my phone from the 10166 version. Still wont get the latest one. I performed the recovery and downgraded to WP8.1 and then upgraded, still wont get 10515, it'll only give me upgrade 10166. I even flashed the British firmware, (000-GB) ffu file. It still gives me 10166. Please help. And yes, I'm on insider fast, and I never registered for Insider Slow. Thanks.

Actually...it takes too much time while upgrading from 10166 build as I suffered from this problem...it took about of 1 and half day to successfully upgrade to 10512 build and during this process it failed for 2-3 times...in progress bar it will show that its stuck at 0% but it is actually downloading but wont show in the progress bar...but keep ur eye in update menu it might fail if it fails then u can try again for the update(try again and again if it fails) and it will download the build and u can do a install but u should do a clean install for the best user experience...;)

Hi everyone,
I'm using a double SIM device, and I set my setting is automatically updates new update and builds. Last year, I was very happy because of a build with a great function of Phone app: vibrate when the call answered, and most of apps run smoothly. It seems build 10549
But in next build till now, that function was removed for double SIM device, and now I meet some issues with other app (viber, weather, evernote..)
So, can anyone help me to solve this? Can I reinstall a previous build of Windows 10 Mobile? (like 10549 )
Thanks and regards :)

Answer:Can I install a previous build of Windows 10 Mobile?

No you can't. You can only install builds that current in terms of their built rings:
* Fast
* Slow
* Production
The production build is only applicable for phones that were originally sold with Windows 10 Mobile pre-installed.
Hacking a build from any other source isn't recommended as there's no way you can trust the contents of that image and there's no way of knowing whether you'll receive any further updates.

I am on build 10549 and I couldn't be able to update to build 10576 then 10581 and now 10586. Download never increases from 0% but it uses all data of my wifi which needs in downloading then after that it says there were problems installing some updates but we will try again later and it comes with the error code 0x80070538. I've tried everything like hard reset, dis-enrolling from insiders but nothing came helpful. I am using lumia 520.

Answer:Can't update windows 10 mobile build 10586

Roll back to 8.1 via WDRT, install Insider app and then update. Maybe you don't have enough space on phone...
Edit: Just saw that you made hard reset, so space shouldn't be the problem. Try with roll back.

I just tried reverting to an earlier version of windows 10 mobile, and it failed halfway through. Now my phone boots to this square icon thing and does nothing. When I hold down the power button as per the reset instructions, the phone takes about 20 seconds to turn off. It reboots to the square icon. The instructions then say to hold down the volume down button, but after 2 minutes it has not responded.
Is there a way to force it to reset without having to have a working operating system on it? How do I force it to install windows 8.1 again?

Is there a way to force it to reset without having to have a working operating system on it? How do I force it to install windows 8.1 again? There's the hard reset key sequence:
1 - unplug phone
2 - hold vol up and simultaneously plug charger
3 - keep holding until a ! mark appears
4 - leave button and follw the sequence one key once:
vol up, vol down, power, vol down
5 - gears should appear, you phone should replace last downlaoded build
If doens't work, plug your phone to a pc and use WDRT.
holding power button is soft reset, and is useless now. For all the rest, keep in touch and join forum, we can help you

Has anyone noticed this? Windows mobile for phones is currently at build 10134 (according to the latest leak) and the desktop version is at build 10135.
I find this interesting because Microsoft was so behind with their mobile builds vs the desktop. Could this mean Microsoft has played caught up internally with the mobile build?
I don't know, but I would like to start seeing universal updates to universal apps, instead of apps updating separately for desktop and mobile.
Just thought it was interesting to bring up - especially since we all want more stable versions of Windows 10 mobile, maybe it means the core OS is even closer to the desktop version.

Answer:Windows Mobile and Desktop build numbers aligning

Lol I think this was always the basic idea. Keep in mind that while MS launched the updates for PC's first, this never meant that they weren't working on the mobile versions. The problem was that they didn't want half baked versions floating around and they never expected their program for "insiders" to be this succesful

Hi. I've got a Nokia Lumia 530 and it was running happily on Win10. With the new build out you had to firstly roll back to 8.1 Update 1, then install Windows Insider and update.
Unfortunately I don't seem to have enough drive space to do the update. It needs 1.35 gig and although Storage Sense says 1.39 gig available, it won't progress due to insufficient space. Must be some temp files or something.
I've moved every app I can over to the SD card but to no avail.
Does anyone have any advice please?

If you're a Windows Insider on the Fast ring, it's that time again, as Microsoft has released Windows 10 build 14946 for PC and Mobile. This week's build comes six days after 14942, which was a rare Friday release.

Unlike some of the earlier builds that we've seen from the Development Branch, 14946 contains a number of new features. It's mostly minor stuff, and sadly, today's build doesn't contain most of theContinuum features that were announced at Ignite. It does, however, contain the ability to put your phone to sleep and continue to use the feature.

Here's what's new:

Customizing your precision touchpad experience (PC): Last week, we announced that we?d been working on refining your touchpad experience. This week, we?re taking that one step further. When you go into Settings > Devices > Touchpad, you will now find a section called ?Other gestures?. In this section, you now have basic customization options for your three and four finger gestures. For taps, you can select between Cortana, Action Center, play/pause or middle mouse button, and for left/right swipes, you can select between switching apps or switching virtual desktops. Try it out and let us know what you think!

However, we know that some of our Insiders prefer even more control over their experience, so for those Insiders (and power users) we have added a new Advanced Gestures Configuration page. The page can be accessed via a link at the bottom of ... Read more

It's Patch Tuesday, and you know what that means. It's time for cumulative updates. Today's update is for both Windows 10 PCs and phones, and it brings the build number to 10586.420.

The update is available to both the Production ring and the Release Preview ring, continuing an interesting trend. Since the Release Preview ring was made available back in February, not a single cumulative update has been made available to the ring and later to the Production ring.

For example, builds 10586.242 and 10586.338 were offered up to Release Preview, but they never made it to Production. The updates that do make it to Production show up in the RP ring at the exact same time.

Here's what's new in Windows 10 for PCs build 10586.420:

Improved reliability of Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge, Cortana, audio playback, audio playback in Groove Music app, Maps app, Miracast, and Windows Explorer.
Fixed issue with balloon tip notifications always appearing in the upper left side of the screen.
Fixed issue that caused VPN to not work properly when switching between different network interfaces (for example, switching between Wi-Fi and cellular).
Improved Narrator?s ability to read bulleted lists, hyperlinks, and image information.
Fixed issue in location that caused navigation apps to lag behind user?s actual location.
Improved performance of loading webpages in Internet Explorer 11 when roaming user profiles are used.

Microsoft today released a new cumulative update for Windows 10 PCs and phones, bringing the build number to 10586.494.

KB3172985 is a bit of a mystery at the moment, as Microsoft hasn't published a changelog for either version. Typically, the PC release notes would be published to the Windows 10 Update History page, which isn't currently showing anything new.

The Mobile version is always a bit of a jumble, the release notes sometimes showing up in Microsoft's Answers forum and occasionally, in the Feedback Hub. Perhaps most interesting is that the changelog for phones is almost never available at the time that the update is offered.

The last cumulative update that we saw was 10586.454 in the Release Preview ring. No Release Preview update has ever made it to the Production ring, so the last public update was 10586.420.

First for the PC, Windows Update seems to have downloaded the build 10074 that I will initially install now. I heavily rely on my PC, and I use a lot of Visual Studio and Adobe Creative Cloud products. Are all of those compatible with the current version of Adobe CC products?
Also, for gaming - how well are AMD drivers running on Windows 10?
Next comes the phone. I plan to install build 100136 on my Lumia 1320. How well is it doing on this device? This phone is my daily driver, but I will be staying home most of the time for the next couple of weeks and also, I do not use my phone that much - just calls, plain texts, some emailing and some Whatsapp. How does 100136 do these? Are there any critical bugs?
For a friend, the previous builds on a Lumia 1320 caused overheating and shutdowns. Do those issues still persist?

Answer:How Stable is the current Windows 10 Mobile build? (On PC and Phone )

The only tip I can give you is that if you want to install build 10136 on your phone be sure that you have the WPRT up and running on your PC. This to prevent a surprise if you want to roll back and the tool "does not work".

Hi everyone,

We?re rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10549 right now to Windows Insiders on the Fast ring. However, this build comes with a caveat. We discovered a bug late last night that caused phones upgrading from Build 10536 to get stuck at a black screen after this new build is installed. Rather than making you wait a little bit longer for us to fix this bug ? we decided to release this build as a single update from Windows Phone 8.1. Current Insiders that would like to try out Build 10549 should:
Go back to Windows 8.1 first using the Windows Device Recovery Tool.
Once you?re on Windows Phone 8.1, install the Windows Insider app, choose the Fast ring, and reboot your phone.
After that ? this build should download and install on your phone.

Answer:Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10581

Hi everyone,

Today we are rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10581 to Windows Insiders on the Fast ring. We?ve fixed the bug preventing upgrades from earlier builds. So if you stayed on Build 10536 or if you flashed back to Windows Phone 8.1 and then installed 10549 or 10572 you can upgrade directly to this new build without going back to 8.1 again. This build doesn?t have significant new features but does include a bunch of good fixes and general performance improvements.

Microsoft today released this week's Fast ring build, which is Windows 10 14951 for PC and Mobile. The build arrives just five days after its predecessor, build 14946.

The build is from the Development Branch, as all Fast ring builds tend to be. It's a preview for Redstone 2, which is to be the next feature update for Windows 10, adding new features such as major Continuum improvements for Windows 10 Mobile.

Today's build does contain a few new features. Here's what's new:

Refining the customization experience for precision touchpad (PC): Since last week, we?ve continued working in this space, and have another set of improvements headed your way. To start with, we?ve hooked up our keyboard shortcut picker, so now if you choose that option on the Advanced gestures page, you?ll be presented a recorder so you can capture your favorite key combo - perhaps WIN + Alt + D or WIN + F to start with? Secondly, we?ve added a Change audio and volume option to the set of basic swipe gestures you can pick from. Finally, we?ve updated the reset button to now has a progress circle and display a check mark when it is finished. We?ve also heard your feedback from the last flight, and fixed a few issues including that the reset button wasn?t clearing the settings listed on the advanced gestures page, that the 4-fingure gesture graphic was visible on devices that only supported 3-contact points, and that some of the advanced gestures options weren?t wo... I tried to install Windows 10 Mobile build 10149 on my Lumia 435 (update from 8.1). Everything went well until I got to the cogs. At the cogs screen, the bar got about 3 quarters filled and then I got a sad face BSOD and the phone rebooted, Microsoft logo appeared and then it got back to the cogs only to reboot again in about 20-30 seconds. It keeps doing that. I can revert back to 8.1 with WP Recovery Tool, but I'd like to know why I'm getting this error and if I can install this build somehow.

Answer:BSOD during update from WP 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile build 10149

4. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button until the ??!?? appears

Hi everyone,

We have another Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10586 which we?re releasing today to Windows Insiders in the Fast and Slow ring.

This build continues to address feedback we?ve received from Windows Insiders as well as customers using our brand new Windows 10 phones like the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. As with the previous release, this Cumulative Update continues to use the minor version for differentiating between each version ? so this build will appear as 10586.36.

Windows Insider Program head Dona Sarkar is in New Zealand for Microsoft's Ignite conference, but that hasn't stopped her from releasing this week's Fast ring build. Windows 10 build 14955 for PC and Mobile is now available.

As you might have guessed, the build is from the Development Branch, which is currently codenamed Redstone 2 (RS2). It's a preview of the next feature update to Windows 10, but unfortunately, there aren't a lot of cool new features just yet, as they haven't been announced yet.

However, Microsoft is holding an event tomorrow to show off more of RS2, so we'll find out more then. In the meantime, here's what's new in 14955:

Outlook Mail & Calendar Update (PC & Mobile): We have updated the Outlook Mail and Calendar apps to 17.7466.4062x.0.. This update introduces a few new things for you to check out:

You can now open email messages in a new window.
You can now use Quick Actions directly from new email notifications.
Get someone?s attention with @mentions. Type the @ symbol anywhere in the body of your email and start typing to pick the person you want to address.

Context Awareness in Narrator (PC): As you navigate around, you can be notified about different groups or other areas you move to, such as groups in the Office ribbon. Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 Insider Preview to the Fast ring; this week's build is 14965, and it's available for both PCs and phones. It's a preview of the recently announced Creators Update, formerly only known by its codename, Redstone 2.

One might have speculated that there would be no new build this week, as Microsoft kicked off its Creators Update Bug Bash on Monday. It doesn't end until the 13th, and the company said that it would focus on build 14959, which was last week's Preview.

Here's what's new:

Controlling external monitors from tablets just got easier (PC): You can now drive content on a second display from your tablet without ever having to attach a mouse. The virtual touchpad lets you do more with a tablet and a second screen ? just connect to another monitor, PC, or TV, go to Action Center and tap on the ?Project? Quick Action to extend your screen. Use it just like you would a physical touchpad to control content on the connected screen. To enable it, press and hold on the taskbar and select ?Show touchpad button?. A touchpad icon will now appear in the notification area (just like Windows Ink Workspace does), and tapping on it will bring it up the virtual touchpad.

You?ve seen the work we?ve been doing for precision touchpad customization with the last few builds, and the virtual touchpad is no exception. While the virtual touchpad is open, go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and you?... Read more

Like in lumia 730 and why the shutter speed not working effectively in inbuilt camera application in windows 10 device it changes automatically to fast shutter or some other even on fully manual setting as it use to work perfectly in windows 8.1 using lumia camera classic? I've 14393.448 build installed.

Answer:why Microsoft not letting us to install old lumia camera application in windows 10 mobile

They do that to direct you to Microsoft Camera. Even if you installed it, it would direct you to it.
I'm not 100% sure, but that seems to be the likely reason.

Looks like this feature has been removed. I will be traveling tomorrow. Screenshots if this is possible. Thanks.

Answer:How do I turn off data roaming in Windows 10 mobile build 10166?

My Lumia 635 wouldn't let me data roam when I installed. I did a hard reset and few soft resets since and now all options are back. I am on Sprint.

I'm thinking about installing it via Insider on my Lumia 630, but I'm afraid of damaging the battery. What's your experience with it?

Answer:Does the newest Windows Mobile (536) build drain battery fast?

It is really, really hard to say as experience is quite different from user to user and device to device but based on my personal experience there is nothing to worry about, after initial problem with huge battery drain I managed to reduce it to around 7% per hour on my L930 which is pretty good score for a technical preview...

Hello Windows Insiders!

Today we are releasing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 15252 to Insiders in the Fast ring.

General changes, improvements, and fixes for Mobile
This build includes all the improvements from KB4038788.
In preparation for the release of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, the product version number has been updated to 1709 just like PC.
We fixed an issue where, on powering the screen off/on, high demand for CPU could cause several apps to crash. Background processing of photos is an example of high CPU demand. In a photo shoot session, you may have seen the Camera app crash.
We fixed an issue with the Messaging app where conversation text was displayed incorrectly. Thanks to our Insiders that quickly highlighted this issue.

No downtime for Hustle-As-A-Service,
Dona <3

Fully one month after its previous release, Microsoft has finally provided a refreshed new build of Windows 10 Mobile to Windows Insiders on the Fast ring. But build 10549 offers yet another complexity for testers to wrestle with: With this build, you have to upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1. That means wiping out any phones that are already using previous Insider Preview builds.

Yep. That?s the sound you hear. wa-waa-waaahhhh.

Why this draconian step? According to Microsoft, which it discovered a bug late last night?yep, last night?that caused phones upgrading from build 10536 to get stuck at a black screen after the new build is installed. So rather than make you wait even longer, Microsoft decided to release this build as a single update from Windows Phone 8.1 only.

The good news: If you decide to stick with build 10536, you can just wait a bit?hey, what?s a month between friends??and upgrade to the next Fast Ring build instead.

?We know having to go back to Windows Phone 8.1 to get this new build is a bit of work,? Microsoft explains. ?By doing so you are also helping us test the upgrade path that millions of Windows Phone 8.1 customers will take to upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile, so we appreciate the adventurous Insiders who choose to go this route and give us feedback.?

LOL. Whatever.

Here?s what?s new in this build:

Cortana improvements. Cortana now works for users in Japan and for English speakers in Australia and Canada. You can find out more here.

Feeling hyped?

Looks like Mobile Insiders have a treat I'm proud to announce that the final build of Windows 10 Mobile is set to release this December.

Here's a few quotes:

Users of Lumia 550, 950XL and 950 smartphones already use Windows 10 Mobile, but the company has promised that the other users of Lumia devices will be getting this new OS in December, with Poland touted to be among the first recipients. According to a report by Tech Times, Polish users of Lumia 630, 635, 640, 735 and 830 will receive the new Windows 10 Mobile OS as from December 14. However, the report also adds that this is only confirmed for the users of Orange mobile

However this build is only available to those who have the Denim builds of Lumia.

Interested in trying Windows 10 since they have not pushed Windows 8.1 Update 2 for the Lumia 1520 has not been pushed out yet.

Answer:How stable is the most recent build of Windows 10 Mobile on the Lumia 1520?

It isn't the most stable. I would wait until the next release which shouldn't be too far away.
Also if the Lumia 1520 is your main phone (daily driver) I would stay away from the current build 10080.
