Yoga 710 bluetooth issues

Question: Yoga 710 bluetooth issues

Hello all, My yoga 710's bluetooth can detect other bt devices but fails to pair/connect. First appeared with the microsoft mouse 3600.Trying to test it cgecked also on samsung and xiomi phones - it tries to pair and then announces "try connecting your device again". Looked in the forum so tried:Rolling back to previous driver.Removing the device.Reinstalling driver from internet.Reinstalling driver frim system partition. All with the same result. Any ideas?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Whatever I do, I can't seem to get bluetooth working on my Y2P.  I installed the latest ones from Lenovo's site, I tried using the generic drivers, I tried getting the latest ones from Intel... still no luck. If I use the generic ones, I get a code 43 error in Device Manager.  If I try Lenovo's or Intel's it starts the device fine but Windows itself doesn't even think I have a bluetooth device. What is going on?

Hello,I have had a Yoga 2 Pro (Win 8.1) for over a year now.  A couple months ago I purchased a Microsoft Arc Touch Bluetooth mouse. Ever since I've been in a bluetooth twilight zone of bizarre behavior.  It will work and then cut out.  Some times it will be recognized but not work at all.  Other times it will be recognized and not pair properly.  I've combed through the forums and have tried:- Switch the settings to prevent the computer from shutting off the device due to power management (this did help but did not solve all of the problems).- Upgraded to the newest Lenovo driver on the Lenovo website (installed but refused to recognize any bluetooth device).- Uninstalled and upgraded to the newest driver on the Intel website (crashed when trying to install)- Uninstalled and reversed back to original Lenovo driver on D drive.- I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the wifi driver.  The first time this worked... the second time nothing. So where am I now?   All of the devices show up fine in the Device Manager.  The mouse is discoverable but won't pair. And I guess I'm out of ideas as to what to try next.  From reading the forums I guess it seems like I'm not the only one suffering from bluetooth issues with the Yoga 2 Pro.  But thought that I might as well post to see if perhaps there is someone out there who has an idea that I haven't already tried. Or perhaps someone from Lenovo could reply... Hi, I am sorry if I'am creating a new thread, but it seems I may have a weird issue and I can't find if another users had this specific problem. Bluetooth is working when streaming local movies, but whenever i start streaming online music (youtube, google music) the music starts to stutters (lagging) like mentioned in this thread but for the yoga 13. My driver version of the bluetooth driver is : 17.0.1428.1 (2014-07-09), i went direclty to intel to update it.DPTF is disabled, if wondering.. Now is the issues because of the single band of my wifi card (the driver is also updated : 17.0.1.5).If anyone has a solution that I may have missed (because there is no official solution), could you help out please ! Thank you all and have a great day !

Hi everyone. Ever since updating to Windows 8.1 my Bluetooth on my Yoga 13 no longer works. I had issue with numerous drivers since the update, but this is the only one that refuses to be fixed. I have tried the drivers on the Lenovo page but they have not worked. Has anyone had success with Bluetooth after Windows 8.1 and care to lend some advice? Thanks!

Yoga 13 Bad Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ? almost giving up (and giving back) I have purchased the Yoga 13 a week ago, and everything was fine. EXCEPT, I experienced problems to connect to the public Wi-Fi. I get  5 seconds of Wi-Fi connected, and then 5 seconds of "limited connection", and again "connected" for 5 sec., "limited" for 5 sec., and so on. I convinced myself it was because of the large number of people connected at the place I have been at. But now I am sitting here, with just a few people, and it seems they are all connected well, and only I get the 5 seconds cycle.  But it wasn't for this issue that I started to feel frustrated with my 1 week old Lenovo Yoga. It's the Bluetooth issue that really bothers me. I am trying to use Microsoft Notebook Bluetooth 5000 mouse. I have to use it, since I have to use both USBs for other devices. At first it worked fine. Just the random disconnections everyone on the net are talking about. I tried everything: I set the power management of the realtek  rtl8723A chip so it won't be able to turn off the BT. I also set the BT to automatically search for devices under services.msc management, which supposed to help reconnection after sleep. Each time it seemed like the problem was solved, until the next time it randomly disconnected. So I have updated my machine. First, I've updated the BIOS from CN52 to CN55. I don't know if it's relevant, but I mention it anyway. Them I've updated the realtek drivers, according to th... Read more

X1 Yoga running Win 7 x64 In Device Manager, a Generic Bluetooth Adapter device comes up with the typical yellow exclamation point. "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) The event log has a bunch of entries with event ID 17:The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded. When I re-install the BT drivers, the correct two devices show up in Device Manager and the Bluetooth icon shows up in the taskbar. But after a reboot everything is back to a failed state. Any idea what's going on here? Anyone having the same issue?

The WiFi goes into a bad state if I stream audio via BlueTooth.  By going bad,  means I can't seem to ping anything on my local network including the gateway, but everything else seems OK (routes, IP adressed , etc).  The BlueTooth keeps functioning.  If I reconnect the Wifi, it works for a few seconds before going down again.  Something is wrong, but I can't figure out what.

Hi, Since today I'm unable to enable/disable plane mode on windows 8 (it looks like plane mode is enabled but the visual switch automatically returns to it's default position). As a consequence, wifi is disabled and I'm unable to move the wifi switch button to the enable state (state is set to inactive). I had to use the "Diagnose and repare" button from the network panel to re-enable the WiFi. After some investigations, I finally found that is issue is caused by the bluetooth that cannot be disabled when my Yoga is associated with my Logitech DiNovo Edge keyboard. As this issue totally breaks the "plane mode", If someone has a solution (or maybe an explanation) to allow bluetooth disabling other than removing bluetooth link with this device, I'm really interested.

So I'm really at a loss with this issue.  I've done so much troubleshooting to no avail.  Removed soundcard and bluetooth and reinstalled.  Installed new drivers.  Deleting and repairing devices. Changing the WiFi to "Prefer 5.2GHz band".  Other troubleshooting based on discussions on other forums... The Problem. Brand new Thinkpad P71.  I have two of the same external speakers I've used with my iPhone via Bluetooth to stream audio and never had a problem.  The speakers are the Oontz 3XL. When I connect with my P71, it can go 24 hours or two minutes, but it will just suddenly stop playing audio.  The blue light on the speaker will turn off.  To get it to work again, I'll have to close the audio app and reconnect the Bluetooh.  Then it will run for anywhere from one minute to 24 hours and disconnect again. I also just bought a brand new Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd gen).  Exact same problem.  Did all the same troubleshooting. I mostly stream Sirius XM from a browser (and have tried different browsers as well).  I also play audio from iTunes.  The weird thing with iTunes is that when this happens, the Play/Pause button in the software will also stop working, unless I close the app and restart. It's definitely a Lenovo problem, since I am encountering the same problem on both systems.  I don't know if this could be related to BitDefender and/or Malware Bytes (both are inst... Hi.I've been lurking for a bit and have had most of my questions answered and issues solved bythis fine community. Thank you!My problem is that I can add my bt headphones (I've tried two different sets) in the "add device"option, but once I shut the bt device (headphones in my case) off and then turn them back onagain the sound continues to come from the tablet or stereo speakers (which ever I'm using atthe time) and the sound won't switch to the bt headphones automatically. I must manually go theSound settings in Control Panel options and select the bt headphone to use them again. As ofright now I've got a shortcut to the Sound options on my desktop. Now this isn't a deal breaker forme, but there's got to be an easier way! LOLS!Any suggestions? Thanks! And for the record I have no wifi issues and I've upgraded to 8 gigs of ram so I'm keeping this!!!

Answer:Yoga 13 Bluetooth Issues (Headphone Connection)

I haven't tried using a Bluetooth headset with Windows, but check: 1.  Right-click on the sound tray icon, select Playback devices.  Does it show a 2nd bluetooth headset device in addition to Speakers?  If so, left-click on it and try the "Set Default" dropown menu on the bottom to make it the Default device (or some other option that works better). 2.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933144 3.  http://www.computing.net/answers/hardware/making-bluetooth-headset-default-audio-device/87178.html

About 2 weeks ago my USB 3.0 port stopped working, after reading the comments on the interenet i presume this is from the Windows 8.1 update. I tried at first to sort it out myself by trying to uninstall and reinstall the port, I updated by BIOS, went through all the Device Manager and BIOS setup options to make sure it was working, and double checked windows updates. I am not particulary tech savvy but I thought this could not be too hard, as I it still lights up my external hardrive, it just does not detect it. So I know it is not physical damage.I then contacted Lenovo support who told me quite a few people were having this issue and that all I needed to do was download the updated Chipset and Intel Management Driver software. Clearly this guy had not heard of automatic updates and low and behold it did not work. I then rang back and the next guy was so inaudible due to his accent that I literally could not be bothered to ask him to repeat evey sentence, which was the first 5 minutes of our conversation. In my device manager I have an unknown device called USB Root Hub (xHCI), when I try to update the driver it says it cannot find any suitable match. I know this hub is the one to detect USB drives, so I don't understand why it will not find a driver.Around the same time I also noticed that my Bluetooth does not work properly! So I have attempted to sort this out as well. I  installed the latest Bluetooth driver from the Lenovo website and then "wallah" my Bluetoo... Read more

Hi all. Nice to meet you. I have a Lenovo Yoga 720 and am noticing two issues.  First, whenever I am on Wifi, my connection will occasionally drop and restart. It is becoming a challenge especially during Skype calls and even simple tasks like browsing. My wifi appears to be OK because I have another PC and Mac that does not have any connectivity issues. Is there something I can do investigate and solve this issues? Moreover, I have connected my Microsoft Sculpt Mouse which had worked great on another PC's. While I can connect it with my Yoga, the connection frequently drops and takes a couple of seconds to re-establish itself. If anything, these issues have become a pain. Any suggestions/ideas on how to rectify the situation would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Folks,After having received a new Yoga 3 14 yesterday I noticed that there were a lot of screen ghosting issues, especially when using high contrast apps or leaving apps on the screen. Even when the system is booting the afterimages are there and persistent, and continue to build on top of each other. I have already rolled back and updated the graphics card, updated the BIOs, installed the firmware update to fix ghost touches etc. but the afterimages of chrome and the taskbar and explorer windows remain, only leaving the computer off for several hours solves but I don't believe that to be a pragmatic solution. If anyone else has had this issue or has fixed it please comment!

I just purchased a Yoga 11 refurb, but was wondering if BT is standard on these devices or an option. I thought I remember seeing BT listed in the spec sheet, but when I got the computer setup I don't see BT option. Thanks

Answer:Yoga 11 no bluetooth?

hi patlex,

If you have the Yoga 11 model that is listed on this pdf data sheet, then yes, it does come with a wireless+blluetooth combo adapter.

To check the adapter, can you try to:
1. Open device manager and check the bluetooth device

2. If the device is there, try to press the F7 (or Fn+F7) and see if you can enable bluetooth.
3. Alternatively, press Windows+C > Settings > Change PC Settings and under the Wireless Menu, see if you can toggle the bluetooth option. (screenshots here)

Let me know your findings.

Hi all,Just bought my Yoga yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it. A problem I encountered was when trying to pair the Bluetooth to a Belkin A2DP receiver (essentially, it appears as a Bluetooth audio headset to the computer). Audio quality sent to the speaker is very poor. I verified that the Belkin unit was functioning properly by pairing two other Bluetooth devices and having no issues with audio playback. I also updated to the latest RealTek Bluetooth driver on Lenovo's website. Still with bad audio quality. Any suggestions appreciated :-)

Answer:Yoga 13 - Bluetooth audio

Hi HummerMan3,

Thanks for posting. Sorry hear about the issues you're facing.

I too have a yoga I do agree it is a superb machine. In regards to the bluetooth Audio, Personally I have not tested the bluetooth or the Bluetooth Audio. I was just wondering when you mentioned the audio being really poor, do mean that the sound distorts or does the sound does not play loudly? How about when playing normally on the laptop? Do still get the same results.

Sorry for the list of question, but just wanted to be sure what exactly I'm dealing with.

Do let me know.

I recently acquired a Thinkpad yoga 15 laptop and while playing with the options I realised it completely lacked Bluetooth functionality. I have tried updating the Intel PROSet Bluetooth software, updating the network adapter drivers, disabling the adapter altogether and reenabling it through the BIOS. I don't know if the Bluetooth adapter is supposed to appear as a different adapter in the Device Manager or if only the Intel Dual-Band AC 7265 is supposed to show up (under the Advanced tab, Bluetooth is labeled as Active). No bluetooth option is present in the PC and devices options menu... I even reset to factory settings in case it was an issue with a third party program, but even there, same situation. Am I missing something? Please help me to get this feature working!

I'm currently having various problems with the internal Intel® Dualband-Wireless-N 7260 used for wireless lan and bluetooth. First, windows used the generic bluetooth driver, and bluetooth worked just fine. However with this driver the wlan couldn't handle wireless connections >54mbit/s. When I turned bluetooth off it worked without any problem. It seemed like a bluetooth AND a strong wlan connection (f.e. 300mbit/s) was too much.  After installing the latest intel bluetooth driver specific for this hardware (3.1.1311) the wireless lan works now fine with another bluetooth connection. However, now the bluetooth devices range is way too low. Using my headset I now have around 40cm of range, when I turn my head it looses the connection (no sound until I turn it back). With an usb bluetooth adapter I have a range of 10m and more.  Anyone else with this problem?I tried both wireless lan drivers v17 and v16.10.0.

Hi,Just purchased and received a P40 Yoga.  Nicely equipped and a very nice machine.I am having two issues out of the box so far, the first of which is problems with Bluetooth. I am using bt to connect to Microsoft Designer mouse and keyboard.  I'm able to connect fine initially and use mouse and keyboard.  Also able to connect to other devices like my iphone, etc no problem. But then at seemingly random times, though it always happens in any extended use of the computer, at least once per hour or so, the mouse and keyboard (and seemingly all bt communication) stop responding.  I can look at the windows bt settings and it still shows as connected but nothing is registering.  When the bt seemingly freezes like this it also does not find any new devices to connect to even when they are discoverable.  Each time this has happened I've tried turning bt off and back on and then reconnecting but no success.  BUT, if I turn airplane mode on ( so turn both bt and wifi off) then the mouse and keyboard will function again.  I've tried turning just the bt off and it seems to not want to switch to off, the toggle will go to off but then switch back to on on its own but still not able to connect.  But if I click the toggle in the bt settings menu a few times, eventually it will turn off and stay off, and then if i turn bt back on again the peripherals start to work again.  Also, if I switch into airplane mode, to turn bt and wifi off, ... WiFi and Bluetooth share the 2.4Ghz band, so they may be conflicitng.   If you can move your Wifi to 5Ghz, it might help, as they would be on a different freqency, but you need a WiFi router and WiFi card that supports it.     Try switching channels on your WiFis too.

Yoga 2 Pro, Windows 8.1. My battery ran flat.  When I powered it back up and charged it (no problem there), my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse didn't work.  In troubleshooting, I found NO BLUETOOTH icon in the toolbar, no Bluetooth in the Device manager.  I had been using the bt136w8164 drivers from the Lenovo web site.  I reinstalled them but still no BT appeared.  I tried uninstalling them, then reinstalling - no luck.  Then tried to install the latest bt247w81 drivers from Lenovo - no luck.  There is no Bluetooth line in the Devices listing, nothing in Device Manager.  The OS isn't seeing or loading the BT drivers.  I used the default locations during installation and I have not moved any locations.  Everything else works normally.  What is going on??

Just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem: Occationally when waking the unit from sleep the Bluetooth device stops working. It appears in the Device manager with an "!" on it, but when I disable and re-enable it it works again for a day or two before it happens again. It's not an end of the world sort of problem, but it's kind of annoying. I want to know if I'm the only one, or if it might be a driver issue that needs to be addressed?

Answer:Yoga 13 - Bluetooth issue

hi dumiller, thanks for posting. I was just wondering how long do leave your machine to sleep before waking it up? I too have a yoga but I must admit that I've not used the BT. But however I did face some similar with the wireless. After waking from sleep it has trouble connecting to the wireless. But it turn out that I just needed to be a little patient with the machine as it had to re-establish the wireless connection. It may be the same with the bluetooth.

However, you may also want to consider checking you bluetooth propeties by unchecking specific power saving propeties. This can be done by following the guide bellow.

Go to you bluetooth properties and click on the Bluetooth Tab.
Once there Click on BlueTooth Settings. (See illustrations below)

A new window should have appeared.
Click on the "Hardware" tab.
In the hardware tab select "RTL8723A 4.0+High Speed Chip"
Click on the "Properties Button" Below. (See Illustration below)

On you've clicked on the "Properties" button another window should appear.
Click on the "Power Management" Tab
Ensure to uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and "Allow this device to wake the computer." (See illustration below)

hope this helps and do let me on how it goes.

I need help comparing the Yoga 2 Pro and Yoga 13, but I don't mean to compare them by their specs.  Yes, I know Yoga 2 Pro has a better processor, is thinner and lighter, and has a QHD screen, but that's not what I'm looking for. What I want to discuss is not what you find in a typical review.  I want to discuss the issues that people seem to be having with these laptops.   I want to see what issues both of these laptops share and what they don't.  I currently have a Yoga 13, and I'm debating whether I should return it and get a Yoga 2 Pro, but if it has more issues than my Yoga 13, then I don't want to do it. Issues that I know of so far: Yoga 2 Pro  (I've never had this laptop so I'm only going off of what people have been complaining about) Yellow Color Issue (looks musturd / greenish)  (But is fixable, to a point)Wifi Dropping Flickering screen?(Are there more?  I don't know much about the Yoga 2 Pro) Yoga 13 (I've owned this for about 10 days) Weak Wifi  (An issue I have only sometimes)Loud Fan Noise / Fan always on  (Manageable with Notebook Fan Control program)Problems with streaming videos in anything other than laptop mode (My issue)Plugged in but not charging (another issue I ran into)Hinge becoming loose (Hasn't happened to me yet)(What else is there?)  So that's all I know of so far.  What other issues have people run into with these two laptops.  Which laptop's iss... When I am using my bluetooth connection on my Yoga 3 Pro and typing at the same time the connection drops off constantly. I can only assume that the bluetooth antenna is right below my hands. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I would really prefer to not have another USB device sticking out of the tablet while I am using it. I have already had to add a WiFi USB device to extend the poor range of the WiFi card that came from the factory. It really defeats the purpose of this device being so portable. This seems like a pretty big design flaw. Thanks!

I have the same problem.I found that if I rest my hand on the right of the touchpad then the bluetooth connection to the speakers breaks.

Answer:Yoga 2Pro Bluetooth Problems

Try this. Go to device manager and select the Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) 4.0 + HS Adaptor. Select it's properties tab and uninstall the device driver (don't select remove files). Then reboot and the driver will reinstall itself. I have had a couple occassions where the bluetooth device disables itself and this has always worked.

I am using a Microsoft Bluetooth Sculpt mouse with a Yoga 13 and every couple of minutes the mouse pointer starts to wander and does not follow the mouse movements. This corrects itself after 30-50 seconds but then this recurs every few minutes. I have reinstalled the 23 October 2012 Wireless LAN and Bluetooth drivers and the Microsoft mouse control software but the problem persists. I don't have any other mouse drivers installed (except the standard Yoga trackpad). I have checked that there are no other Bluetooth devices active on the Yoga or even anywhere around.  Is there anything I can do to find out what is causing this problem? Thanks, Ken

Answer:Yoga 13 Bluetooth mouse problem

hi ken,

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

Can you try the following::
1. Press F6 to permanently disable the built-in Touchpad and try to use the mouse
2. If the problem happens when the AC adapter is plugged-in, try to unplug the charger and use the battery as a power source and test the bluetooth mouse (vice versa)

If the problem persist,
3. Uninstall the Bluetooth drivers from the Control Panel > Programs and reboot. When the unit boots back into Windows 9, it will use the generic blueooth drivers. Try to pair the Bluetooth mouse and check if the issue still happens.

Let me know your findings

Cheers

When I'm listening to Pandora on the Yoga while running the audio out to bluetooth speakers, the audio stream stutters. There is no problem while listening to Pandora on the Yoga speakers. Same problem when I'm watching Recorded TV on Windows Media Center over wifi with the audio out to bluetooth speakers. No problem when listening on the Yoga speakers. It seems that when both wifi and bluetooth are active maybe there is RF interference? Anyone else experience this issue?

Step2: Choose Devices from the left panel and then press on Add a device and it will be searching for devices and then press on your device name,

Step3: You are supposed to get a message on your device and the laptop asking to press yes (pair) to accept the connection.

Hello everyone!  I bought my parents a Lenovo Yoga 2 tablet along with its bluetooth keyboard. For the last few days, the BT keyboard would be functioning when I type in my login password, but once I logged onto the device, my keyboard would stop working. However, the function keys (volume, etc) would still work. I tried googling this issue but it doesn't seem to be share by many people.  Anyone here has experienced a similar issue? Someone  had suggested me it is a hardware problem, but if the keyboard is working during the login screen, wouldn't it be also possibly a software problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am the owner of Yoga 2 Pro and I have been using the integrated bluetooth that came with it to connect to a HC-05 Bluetooth module and that worked well for a while. After an update or something, my laptop decided to just stop being able to connect to the HC-05 module. In the add a device menu, the HC-05 name can clearly be seen but when the device is selected to open it just continues to load to no avail. And of course, the Bluetooth is on, I have verified that. It is not the module because I have two modules and cannot connect to either. And my friends my friends can connect.  Another detail:Because I was doing this for a project for someone who may not have integrated Bluetooth, I also purchased a Bluetooth dongle and connected to the HC-05 using the dongle and was able to connect using that. When the Bluetooth stopped working, I was no longer able to connect via the dongle and since have uninstalled it. What have I tried:I uninstalled and reinstalled the Bluetooth drivers twice and do not know any other possibilities. If anyone could give me guidance in troubleshooting methods or has experience with this I would appreciate the help.

I checked in the show hidden items on control panel as well, still nothing. I cannot find bluetooth anywhere in settings anymore. It was working fine immediately before the update. I have tried the offical lenovo bluetooth drivers, neither work, after installation they simply say that no device is found for this software. Any help would be appreciated

I recently purchased a P40 Yoga and am happy with it, however I have problem with my Wifi + Bluetooth which I have not had before. I have always used Bluetooth and Wifi together with no problems. THE PROBLEM:When I turn on my Bluetooth, Wifi disconnects immediately. No networks are found anymore.  I have been using the same Wifi connection, so no changes there. I assume this is not an interference problem, because it has always worked great, so it must be a software problem. I also noticed that I have quite a weak connection although I'm close by the router What I have done:- Uninstalled Bluetooth and let windows reinstall- Reinstalled driver for Wifi- Install lastest driver for Wifi from Intel (19.20)- Checked router (channels [due to interference], proximity, etc.) What else could I do?

Yoga 2 Pro i7 updated to Windows 10 Home.  I'm using a Microsoft Sculpt Bluetooth mouse - or WAS.  When the machine is booted, it it not finding the BT driver.  Actually the BT icon will appear momentarily in the taskbar after I enter my password but then disappears from the taskbar as other icons are loaded during boot.  BT is not found in the All Settings->Devices menu and it does not appear in Device Manger.  For some reason, the BT is loading and then being unloaded as the machine boots!  It has the original Intel N-7260 wifi module that was working fine under Win 8.1.  There are a number of posts here with suggestions and I've tried them all, except replacing the module (which was working fine with 8.1): Uninstall Win 8.1 BT drivers (bt247w81) and install (13k001af) BT drivers for Win 10 (from Lenovo website)Install (65kw01ww) wifi drivers for Win 10Update BIOS to (76cn43ww)Tried new Intel wifi driver 18.20.0Tried the BIOS Disable/Enable reboot for wifi All of these were tried multiple times with and without Power Management loaded, with and without my Avast! AV software enabled.  I have wasted HOURS on this mess. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get my Bluetooth back under Windows 10?

Hello everyone! So I've got that lenovo yoga 710-14IKB Notebook recently, and I've got little problems with my bluetooth. I've been trying to connect my bluetooth headset to the notebook, and the quality of sound was very bad so i thought that updating bluetooth drivers might work. I even did recovery whole system by that OneKey Recovery tool. Still nothing. There is nothing related to bluetooth in device menager and even when i tried to add legacy hardware - nothing related to bluetooth, i tried to look up to services and see if there is something that could help, found something like Bluetooth support service which was turned off, so i turned it on, set it to automatic but it doesn't seem to be working either. I really don't know what happened. It seems for me like i had accidentally turned off whole bluetooth card or something. Please help :x

I have a Yoga 13 (Windows 8) and a Lenovo Thinkpad Bluetooth keyboard.  The keyboard disconnects from the computer every few minutes.  Sometimes it reconnects on its own after 30 seconds or so.  Sometimes it needs to be restarted and sometimes it won't reconnect for several minutes despite numerous restarts. I have replaced the keyboard.  The new keyboard behaves exactly the same way.I have replaced the wireless card.  No improvement. It is possible that the new wireless card is also defective. I have tried to update drivers, although the drivers for the keyboard still seem to be dated June 2006, which seems an awfully long time ago. Any ideas?  Lenovo seems stumped (or just does not want to help diagnose the problem).  I do have onsite service.

Today I discovered at a most inopportune time that having my Motorola bluetooth headphones connected to my Yoga 13 2 causes the WiFi to drop out. The WiFi still shows as connected in the charms bar but there is no connection (pages will not load). I have the most up-to-date drivers for both WiFi and Bluetooth. I spent a lot of time when I first got my Yoga a few months back searching the forums for fixes for the WiFi, and adjusted power settings and other things until I got a relatively stable WiFi connection (though not perfect).  Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want to have to purchase another headset. Having the bluetooth work at the same time as the WiFi seems like a basic function that should work. Sigh.

Bluetooth just disappeared from my system tonight.  There's no longer Bluetooth device settings, and it was always present and the Bluetooth button disappeared from the action center.    Note: This is the 3rd problem to self-create.  A windows update broke the touchpad and needed a bios reset.  Sunday night an update broke the audio driver and created the "no audio device installed error."  and required HD audio drivers to be downloaded and rerun.  Now, brand new tonight, Bluetooth just disappears.  The instability of automatic software updates is becoming a major problem.  This is the most unreliable new laptop I've ever owned.  It keeps self-breaking.  People shouldn't have to repair their systems after every update that is pushed out.   Also, 2 desktop.ini files just appeared on my desktop at about the same time the Bluetooth stopped and the setting disappeared.  They contain: [.ShellClassInfo][email protected]%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21769IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-183 [.ShellClassInfo][email protected]%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21799

I just got a Microsoft Designer Bluetooh Mouse. I was reading reviews for it and people thought it was a good mouse. It has bluetooh 4.0 and so does the Yoga Pro 2. It connected and works just fine. However, I quickly realized that my internet was very very slow. I was wondering what was wrong and tried discconecting the muose. The connection speed instantly skyrocketed. And as soon as I turned it back on, it dropped below usable speeds. I have reinstalled both Wifi and Bluetooh drivers, I have changed chanels on my router. Nothing works. Has anyone else had any luck with bluetooth mice? This is really dissapointing because I thought I was getting someting great by not having to use up one of my only two USB ports. I posted this elsewhere but thought it might be somewhat of a more unique problem. It took me a while to get my wifi working, so I am currently using driver 16.5.3.6. I attempted to pair some bluetooth headphones to the computer tonight (a set of Plantronics headphones I use with my iPhone), but when I turned bluetooth on, the wifi just completely cut out. I attempted to uninstall and update my bluetooth driver but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone had this problem?

Answer:Yoga 2 Pro wifi drops when Bluetooth is turned on?

WiFi and Bluetooth hardly coexist in the 2.4 GHz band. Swap your WiFi to 7260AC and use 5 GHz band only. That way Bluetooth and WiFi can work without interfering each other. Otherwise, you'll always expect connectivity issues with WiFi whenever Bluetooth is sending and receiving radio.

I returned my previous outlet yp2 and bought a fresh new yp2 from Lenovo and now the only problem so far is the imfamous random bluetooth disconnecting issue.I have done all the "standard fixes" posted here but I still get some random disconnects. Really annoying. I am hesitant to return it just for that issue, at least for now. I am using a microsoft wedge mouse, works great when working.Question:   would a USB bluetooth dongle solve the problem? Just a thought

Answer:Yoga 2 pro bluetooth question / USB dongle ? solution ?

Doubt the bluetooth issue will be fixed anytime soon. A USB dongle should work. However, this will remove one your 2 USB ports.

Just got the Yoga 2 Pro a few days ago and really enjoying it, however I'm having a problem with Bluetooth.  I've tried pairing 3 different devices (iPhone 4s, a Bluetooth OBD adapter for my car, and a 1st Gen Nexus 7).  All three will pair, but only the iPhone stays connected.  The other two devices show "connected" status for 2-3 seconds, and then immediately switch to "not connected" status.  Not sure if this is a Windows 8.1 issue or a Yoga 2 Pro issue.  Anyone have suggestions?  I've searched around and tried a number of things (uninstalling the paired devices, reinstalling the intel bluetooth drivers, changing parameters in the Bluetooth Support Service, etc.) but nothing is helping.

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with my Microsoft Wireless Bluetooth 8000 presenter mouse staying connected via Bluetooth.  I have installed the latest Kona Wifi driver and the latest Bluetooth driver from the Lenovo site.  It's my opinion that these two drivers are not compatible.  The only way I have been able to keep both the wifi and the Bluetooth stable and not drop connections is to have the latest Kona driver for wifi and roll back the Bluetooth driver to the "generic Bluetooth driver" from 2006.  When I use the most recent Bluetooth driver it works initially but then it will be totally unresponsive after I sleep or restart the computer and I have to keep reinstalling the Bluetooth mouse to reconnect.  Crazy! I have all the Bluetooth, USB and Wifi energy setting turned off so the computer cannot put any of them to sleep to save power. On a side note, I also installed the Intel AC dual band version of the card.  I have noticed that I have lost my 5 Ghz wifi connection completely a couple of times in the last few days with both the Kona version of the wifi driver and with the driver direct from Intel's site.  Both appear to be the same driver.  The only way I am able to get my 5 Ghz back is to reboot the computer and bang - it's back.  The other interesting thing is I can have the laptop right next to my router and the it will go from 2 bars to 5 bars back and forth but when I monitor the c... Answer:Yoga 2 Bluetooth not stable with 7260 AC card

I have the exact same mouse with my AC card and do not have a problem.  I will note that when I tried a clean install I did experience this issue and the way I resolved it was to uninstall the generic microsoft bluetooth devices and allow the OS to rediscover the correct device.  I would suspect that is your issue.

Unfortunately, I also met WiFi problems, but also found unexpected and sad solution. Wifi worked pretty well at working place, but had problems at home. As an experiment I brought WiFi router from the working place home. It did not work! At home I used pretty old keyboard and mouse plugged into passive USB hub. As soon as they were disconnected, problems disappeared. WiFi was also stable after I plugged power supply into the USB hub. We are making 24-bit analog-to-digital converter that connects to the PC via USB. I exactly know its current consumption (300 to 330 mA) and know that it correctly handles USB rules about power regulations. Maximum current, specified by USB2.0 standard, is 500mA, so consumption of our ADC is within limits. As soon as I plug this ADC in, WiFi connection immediately disappears at the working place. In the case of other devices, such as USB flash drive, power consumption may depend on the activity, increasing as it writes or reads something, and decreasing at the moment of inactivity. I'm pretty sure that Lenovo placed their WiFi/bluetooth module on the same USB hub with right-side USB2 connector. Any device, that requires energy, being plugged into USB2.0 port, immediately destroys WiFi (and presumably bluetooth) and it is rather hard to get it back alive without special dancing around. So, conclusion: never plug anything into USB2.0 port, if you need WiFi. This decreases number of available USB ports from two to one. ... Read more

Answer:Yoga 13 WiFi and bluetooth issue resolved

Sorry, but not that easy. Situation repeated several times, but after several reboots situation improved, and now WiFi is available. I am still quite sure this effect exists, but it is not permanent. By the way, WiFi was not available both under W8.1 single language (Russian) with Lenovo power management installed and and W8 Enterprize without Lenovo power management (installation of Lenovo power management leads to blue screen in this version). My Yoga is in dual boot configuration, as I need Hyper-V and it's not available with default installed W8 system.

When bluetooth is enabled on my Yoga 710, I am having severe wifi connection problem, i.e. 95% connection lost, pages load slowly if at all, chrome often crashes. This happens equally when I'm loading pages from the router, so it's not related to internet speeds, etc. I've tried changing the channel of my router from 1, 6, 11, all channel perform the same when bluetooth is enabled. I know my bluetooth mouse is not the problem, rather it's the laptop itself, because, I've tried using my bluetooth mouse on another laptop 3 inches away with no effect on connection to my Yoga. I've tried moving within 1 meter of my router, without improvement of proformance. In short, if bluetooth is enabled, wifi connection is very very poor, if it's not enabled, it's great.I've tried uninstalling the bluedriver, and reinstalling the driver's I found on the lenovo website. This didn't change anything. I've ensured my wifi and bluetooth drivers are all up to date.Perhaps there is another driver I can try?Any advice would be appreciated, I like my bluetooth mouse, and would prefer to keep my 2 usb ports open instead of using a wireless usb mouse, which is what I'm doing now.

I have updated all my drivers after the latest Windows 10 Pro update. Eveything was working fine before the update but after reboot, nada. I tried to roll back the bluetooth driver but the system wouldn't let me. In device manger the properties for the bluetooth driver (Version 19.11.1639.649) says:"This device cannot start. (Code 10)STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE" Suggestions?

Answer:Yoga 2 Pro Bluetooth died after Windows 10 update

Hi DML ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Usually a restore point is created before a Windows update , if sytem restore would not help , you may try to try clean boot and  fully uninstall the driver from device manager (placing a check box when prompted) .  On the device manager choose to update driver browsing from the computer , and allow to pick the driver navigating to the location of your newly downloaded driver.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

I have an issue with my Yoga 2, where it will suddenly give a BSOD, and reboot, or I'll get up in the morning and find that it has rebooted over night.  Looking at the system logs, I found the Dump below which points to the Bluetooh driver files.   Anyone else have similar issues?  Solutions?   I've reloaded the drivers a couple of times. Another issue that seems to be seperate is that I'm using a lenovo Bluetooth mouse, and on occsion it stops working, and will not reconnectbluetooth seems to "lock up" and I can't access it at all).  i have to unintstall the bluetooth under device manager and sometimes reboot for it to work again. Here's the Dump info:  Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.2.9200.20512 AMD64Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. Hi I have connected the microsoft wedge mouse and a bluetooth headset to my yoga. I am having the following problems 1, Mouse - at certain times the mouse icon start flashing and moving around haphazardly - as i move the mouse the mouse icon moves very irregularly as if there is interferance between transmission of laptop and mouse - this last for a few seconds and then returns back to normal2, Bluetooth audio - whilst playing a video on youtube the mouse cuts for half to 1 sec at various points. This does not happen with laptop speakers. I tried uninstalling the bluetooth drivers as it was suggested, yet this did not solve the issue. Hope this issue can be solved Ken

Answer:Lenovo Yoga Bluetooth connection problem

I started having a similar issue when I installed the latest Wifi/BT driver.  Even after I rolled back to the older driver, something had changed. I no longer am able to use my BT Creative D100 speakers as it causes my BT mouse to act up (similar symptoms you are having; but my mouse never stabilized). In addition, my USB3 Ethernet adapter no longer automatically switches back to Wifi when I unplug it (I have to manually reconnect to my wireless router). I very much regret installing the new drivers.  Before that, my Yoga 13 was very solid/stable.

My IdeaPad Yoga 13 has a problem with playing music via bluetooth A2DP profile. Audio plays well and without hiccups when I'm not downloading anything from the internet with high speeds but if I download something music playback starts to crackle and break. That is very annoying and I'm wondering why high wifi bandwidth would cause this kind of problem for bluetooth. If I've understood right, bluetooth and wifi modules reside on the same wireless card on Yoga but still, shouldn't they be separate in a way that they wouldn't be able to affect each other's performance? I'm using Nokia MD-310 Wireless Receiver with my Yoga. My second problem is about the same wireless card, too. My wifi works otherwise well and I haven't had any speed problems with it (unlike many others on this forum) but after a few weeks of using my Yoga it started to have problems with reconnecting to my wifi after waking up from sleep. It doesn't find any wifis unless I run the wireless troubleshoot which resets the wireless card. I've tried reinstalling the driver and setting windows 8 power management settings to maximum performance but nothing seems to solve these two problems. Does anyone have solution for these?
