Inspiron 7567 which drivers? Dell drivers or Intel/NVIDIA graphics drivers?

Question: Inspiron 7567 which drivers? Dell drivers or Intel/NVIDIA graphics drivers?

This is a long standing question. Which drivers should I use? I have graphical issues with the current Drivers from Dell.
Any ideas what are the advantages of Dell's drivers over the ones from Intel/NVIDIA web site and do the even work? What will I lose if I use the latter?

Preferred Solution: Inspiron 7567 which drivers? Dell drivers or Intel/NVIDIA graphics drivers?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Inspiron 7567 which drivers? Dell drivers or Intel/NVIDIA graphics drivers?

Dell drivers are Intel/Nvidia drivers that are customized for your exact model and should be used. They are available at Dell Support if you have to reinstall.

Hi all,
I'm really interested in buying a Inspiron 7567 here in the UK but I've a couple of questions I can't seem to get answers to, maybe the community can help?
1.  Does anyone know if or when the option to upgrade to a FHD IPS screen might be available in the UK?  It's currently an option on the US site but I can't seem to get an answer here in the UK.  Going by the reviews I don't think I'd settle for the TN screen if I'm forking out nearly £1000, and the UHD screen is too costly, and the 1050 ti isn't quite powerful enough, to do that resolution justice, particularly going forward.  I'll happily play at 60fps in FHD rather than 30 fps on UHD, but only if I can get an IPS screen.
2.  It seems from this forum that you need to use the Dell modified nVidia drivers, you can't use the ones from nVidia direct as these can lead to BSODs.  Does anyone have an idea how long Dell will continue to support driver updates in the future?  I know I can't expect cutting edge performance 3-4 years in the future (my acceptable working life given the cost), but some games block loading or really complain about out of date drivers and I'd hate to be stuck when Dell gives up updating drivers for the 7567 in say two years and I can't get them from nVidia.  Anyone know how likely this is to happen?
Cheers folks, hope someone can help!

Hardware: Inspiron 7567 w/ Nvidia GTX 1050 ti
Game: The Long Dark
Link to recording of the glitch:
I only have a couple of games installed on my computer and The Long Dark seems to be drawing this effect the most (if it's occurring on other games I'm not noticing it). At this point I'm uncertain if the glitch is an effect caused by an issue with the GPU, the drivers, the game itself, or something else. I'm also posting this video on Hinterland's forum to see if they have any feedback. Anyone else with this laptop model experiencing this sort of glitch? And does anyone have insight into what might be causing it? Thanks!

This may sound a stupid question but can these two clash??

After a fresh reinstall windows installed the Intel graphics accelerators then i installed my nvidia drivers for my Gforce 9400gt(not the best)
my monitor kept turning off on its own

Ive run dozens of tests and everything is reported as working properly
i uninstalled the intel drivers but the igfxsvc module was stilll running
even when i ended the process it would run again and it didnt appear in services
this is part of Intel and nothing to do with my nvidia drivers

I was wondering if a clash may of been causing the issue??
sorry if its a dumb question

My Dell XPS L502x is 14 months old (i7, 8GB, 689GB HDD, HM77, Nvidia 540M GT). I have installed all latest drivers for my laptop from Dell website. But those are still more than 6 months old. When I use Intel Driver update utility, it shows new version of drivers available. Even my nvidia control panel shows new driver available.
Is it Okay to update drivers from intel and nvidia website and replace drivers from Dell. I heard that Dell mods the drivers for thier laptops before supplying to thier users.

Answer:Should I update my stock Dell Drivers to Intel Drivers.

S"hould you", that is up to you, but the Intel drivers are the best for your computer. If you decide to change your drivers, start with a system restore point.
If you are not having specific problems, you probably will not notice any improvement however.

I use Toshiba M645 Laptop that has two graphic cards
with NVIDIA Optimus Technology. (Auto-swicthing graphics processors)
Now I have some vga problems and driver questions below:

1. Intel HD Graphics <-Why can't install driver from Intel official website?, driver not supports!
, but the driver in Toshiba website can be installed fine as well.
What's wrong with that? Was it mean "Intel HD Graphics" has more than one type, several of model classes?
or it must related to the chipset of Toshiba laptop's mainboard?

2. NVIDIA Geforce GT330M <-How to use only this vga stand alone?, I tried to disable Intel HD Graphics from device manager
and then the monitor was not in use, black screen was displayed.
So, I tried to disable Intel HD Graphics in safe mode, no black screen
, but the next normal boot it was displayed like GT330M was not in use
(can't config NVIDIA tools, it was disappeared from control panel), but it was still enabled in device manager.

Now, I just updated Intel HD Graphics driver, a mouse lag in Aero themes taskbar effect was fixed,
also the video framerate fault was fixed too.

Hope someone can give the solutions, how to fix these problems.
Thanks in advance.

Answer:Intel HD Graphics + NVIDIA Geforce [Drivers & Usage problems]

1. Main reason the Intel reference driver won't work is it hasn't been modified to work with the second card (applies to laptops with either Nvidia or AMD for the second card). Same applies to the Nvidia driver, it requires the Intel driver to be installed before it can be installed.

2. From what I have seen the Nvidia card (or AMD if so equipped) can be made to run all the time only when the laptop is plugged in and you change the power settings to high performance. If that doesn't get it working all the time here may be another setting that needs to be changed. If that is the case going to have to wait on someone with a similar setup for more info.

Hello together,I'm currently struggeling to change the graphics driver of my Lenovo G780 Notebook.Until now, everything is running via Intel Onboard Graphics and i can't switch to the nVidia card. I am having some issues with the above laptop, they have the usual integrated Intel GPU and also a dedicated NVidia 840M GPU. After the laptops have been configured (Windows 7) and I install the NVidia drivers everything works fine for the first few reboots but then whenever I try to log into a user account I just get stuck at "welcome".
I have isolated the cause of this to be the Nvidia drivers as if they are not present on the system no error occurs. This is quite a big problem for us as the laptops were bought for users with high spec needs within an education environment.
I have tried the drivers supplied with the laptop (372.54) and the latest ones from Nvidia (372.70).
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know for a fact but I think the switchable graphics may be the problem with Windows 10. I had this issue with my W500. Go into BIOS and set the display to the Intel chip. Then go to the Intel site and get the driver for the Intel HD Graphics 4600. Manually install the driver using the inf file. If that works, you can do the same with Nvidia. Again you need to set the BIOS to discrete then install a driver. I have to go into BIOS to switch graphics drivers. Maybe someone has a better solution.

There is more than one Graphics Driver (three for Intel integrated and two for NVIDIA dedicated) listed for my service tag on the Dell support page.
Which one do I install?  The latest?  All of them?  If all of them, what order (oldest to newest)?
I assume I need to uninstall the one that Windows 10 automatically installed?
This is confusing at best.

At the Dell Drivers Downloads page for your computer is an option that reads:
Enter your Service Tag or Express Service Code to view your original configuration. Or detect your product to view both configurations.
Once you add your tag or choose to analyze your computer you will be presented with the hardware information for your computer. You can then install the correct drivers.

I have been working on a Dell Inspiron 531S and am unable to get the video, and now audio, drivers loaded and working correctly. Here?s the deal:

According to the Dell tag# info online, this cpu uses either the onboard Nvidia nforce 6150SE n430 video card or an ATI 1300 Pro. There is no external video card so the Nvidia should be right. This is confirmed by programs like HWinfo32. However, someone did install ATI catalyst software at some earlier point.

At first, only the video card driver was not loaded properly and so Vista (Home Premium 32-bit) was in VGA-compatible mode. I tried to load NVIDIA Nforce 258.96 WHQL drivers for Vista 32-bit, which completed without errors. Upon rebooting, though, I could see in Device Manager that the drivers didn?t take. I have also tried Dell?s recommended R166208 (an executable that loads Nvidia?s MCP61 ver.A01 drivers) and no matter what I do, Device Manager says I now have an ?unknown device? or a VGA-compatible display adapter. Unloading and reinstalling did not help. I noticed SP2 was not loaded so tried installing it to see if that would help. It loaded no problem, but then I saw (as another update) a Realtek audio driver update. I let it load and now have no audio.

I have tried both Dell?s recommended Realtek driver (R180772, which is for the ALC888 HD audio device and loads Realtek?s R1.85 audio drivers) and a newer R2.51 version for Vista that I got from Realtek?s site. Both install ... Read more

I have a Dell Inspiron 3521 i3-3227U 1.90 GHz Win 8 64bit, with Video Cards as recognized:
a. Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, and
b. AMD Radeon HD 7670M
Driver Version 8.982.6.0, 8-1-2012.
Suddenly, yesterday both cards indicate problem in Device Manager. Catalyst Control Center doesn't work at all, and Intel Graphic Control Center has disappeared. Video Cards are recognized in system info through Dell Support Assist, but I can't run tests on them (the button disappeared) as I used before.I ran system scan through Dell Support Assist (both default and stress) but showed no problem.
Through Dell Support (according to laptop's service tag) I downloaded and installed both recommended graphic drivers for my laptop (AMD Radeon HD 7670M version 8.982.6.0 ,A01, and AMD Radeon HD 8730M version ,A03) with no result. I also found and installed the proper graphic drivers from AMD and Intel for my laptop (based on my video cards, cpu and OS) but no result also. Laptop warranty has expired.
Any suggestions to solve the problem? Thanks in advance.

Answer:Problem with Graphics and Video Card Drivers in Dell Inspiron 3521

You should not install Intel or AMD's drivers since the Dell drivers are customized for your exact model. Reinstall the original Dell drivers from Dell Downloads and Drivers. Run the Dell Diagnostics by tapping F12 as soon as you reboot to get to the Boot Menu. See if there is a problem with the hardware. The catalyst control center is for desktop computers with discrete cards. It is not a driver- it's software. Your AMD card is not a discrete card. It is a supplemental card that kicks in when more power is needed.
Dell drivers here-- use the scanner to check your computer--
Laptops rarely--if ever--need driver updates like desktops. If there is an update it must come from Dell.

I gave another shot at installing the latest drivers for my Nvidia FX 570M, but it seems that CUDA does work well when there are other applications running in the background. It seems like the problem is a conflict with other applications that use hardware acceleration. Given the problem has consistently been with newer drivers, it seems like it is Nvidia's responsibility.

Hi, I have tried installing the NVIDIA ION drivers available at the website in order to resolve an issue I am having which I will explain about below. I understand that because the Lenovo C200 all in one PC (which is the PC I have, which has the prolem explained below), has both an Intel GMA 3150 and NVIDIA ION graphics card, the drivers available on the NVIDIA website will not install - the error output is the driver couldn't find any compatible graphics hardware. From my research, I understand that it is Lenovo that releases NVIDIA ION driver updates (because, as far as I'm aware, NVIDIA's generic ION drivers won't install on computers that have multiple graphics cards that use manual graphics switching), and ones from you install fine, but they're out of date. The problem I am facing that made me want to find an NVIDIA ION driver update is because video in Internet Explorer doesn't work full screen (and with the latest Flash update - Flash 10.2 - videos on YouTube don't work as you load videos too, now - IE simply becomes slow and the video container remains black). However, if I disable Hardware Acceleration in the Adobe Flash Settings pane, videos work fine. Additionally, I installed the Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate, and websites appeared not to display at all, even though IE9 was displaying the circular moving icon as if a website page is loading. When I disable GPU Rendering in IE9 Internet options/Advanced tab, it work... Read more

Answer:Problem with old NVIDIA ION drivers - please provide latest NVIDIA ION drivers

To sum up, I believe this problem is down to Hardware Acceleration of the GPU that perhaps the old NVIDIA drivers currently shipping with the Lenovo C200 and the ones only available from the Lenovo Driver Downloads page doesn't support, that the newer ION drivers do support - or perhaps there is a problem with the older ION drivers that the newer ION drivers rectify. Either way, please provide newer NVIDIA ION drivers available for the Lenovo C200 all in one please - the generic ones from NVIDIA's website doesn't work so I presume Lenovo takes the generic drivers from NVIDIA, modifies them for the Lenovo hardware and makes them available on the Lenovo Driver Downloads website. I'd appreciate if a staff member of Lenovo responds to this thread acknowledging that this will be done. Thanks.

I have been having this issue since getting windows 10 whereby the screen will go black for a few seconds and then a message come up saying 'display drivers have failed to start, using MS basic drivers'....This has happened multiple times, even after a few days ago where my pc 'found new drivers' and installed them. The worst part is, after a few hours , sometimes everything slows to a crawl, the mouse eventually freezes and the only way out is the reset button. This is even after I thought it may have been due to not enough memory (I just upgraded from 4 to 16 gigs) and also got an SSD 250g drive. Same exact results, so I'm thinking it's related to this near constant problem with the video card drivers where they will reset to MS drivers ...this happens about daily. Very frustrating. What's going on?

Hi, I'm currently using version on this card and it works perfectly. Is there a reason you want to change to a different version then you have installed?   I (personally) think it's wise to not fix what isn't broken, so if a driver does it's job, I won't update it. Installing the latest drivers released by intel is asking for touble, you'll be little more then a beta tester, and although I can't speak for lenovo, my guess is if they haven't put the latest drivers up, it's because they haven't deemed them stable yet, or may even know of problems with them. On the otherhand, if you know of some improvement in this driver that will make a real difference for users, then please enlighten us, and perhaps one of our members can figure out how to find the driver and get it installed. It would also be nice to do some before and after testing to see if there really is any significant advantage.

Hello, I know this question was asked a couple of times, and I've been searching for a solution for some time now, but still have no clue about the problem: BSOD with nvlddmkm.sys error. I've tried installin all sorts of drivers combination (OEM drivers, drivers from Intel and Nvidia etc...) but still the problem persists. The only thing that helps is if I disable the Optimus from BIOS and use integrated graphics only. This is no good for me, because i need Nvidia CUDA capabilities. So obviously this is a driver and not a hardware error. I tried to contact support, but it's impossible to contact them. What can I do?Any suggestions? In my opinion this is Lenovo's error and they should fix this as soon as possible. Hi, Iam a little confused with lenovo custom intel hd 3000 graphics drivers and the generic intel hd 3000 graphics drivers.  Intel says from here to use manufactor (Lenovo) graphic drivers to reduce the chance of problems, is this true? What is the difference?  ( extra features, battery, speed, etc?)Which driver is better to use? ( from your experience) Thanks, just want to clear things up

Answer:Lenovo drivers or generic drivers ( Intel HD 3000)

the lenovo drivers are tested to work with ThinkPads, and in some cases slightly changed to ensure absolute compatibility with the ThinkPad laptop.

which driver version should i use?

Answer:Re: Portege Z830-11J: Intel AMT Drivers and ME Interface Drivers for Win 8

Did you found an Intel AMT driver for Win 7?
Its available on the Toshiba EU driver page (Active Management Technology )
As far as I know most Intel Win 7 drivers are compatible with Win 8.

I have a Y50 which comes with an NVidia 860M card and I'm currently using Windows 10 64bit. Which drivers should I use for video/graphics ? Intel HD Graphics 4600 or NVidia (latest ones for 860M) ? Normally I would assume that NVidia is superior to Intel, but when I install ONLY NVidia drivers, Windows still goes ahead and installs Intel HD Graphics 4600 in the background automatically, causing me to have BOTH drivers installed simultaneously. Another possible issue I noticed was that if I have ONLY NVidia drivers installed, the possible display resolutions listing in Windows Display Settings for me are just 1024x768 and 1920x1080, and the former is the "recommended" resolution !!. However if I have the Intel drivers installed too, I get a whole bunch of other possible resolution options too. Having both installed simultaneously is causing some other HDMI out issues for me, which I want to solve this. Help ?

Answer:Which video drivers to use for Y50 ? Intel or NVidia ? Or both ?

Your y50 uses both video drivers actually. I have had bad results using anything different than the one suggested by lenovo to use for the 4600HD.As for the 960M (mine has) I use the latest driver from Nvidia.

Hi, I need help with crashing due to kernel drivers. This problem started on Windows 8, and I upgraded to Windows 10, and is still crashing. I have done many things to attempt to fix this problem, such as using DDR to uninstall drivers, rolling back old drivers etc., and none of this has worked. I have gone into event manager and the one thing that seems to always occur is:"The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device ROOT\WPD\0000." at startup. While I am experienced with computers, I have no idea how to fix this. So if anybody knows how to fix this, can you please tell me? Also, if anyone needs pictures of the crashed scree, debug info, etc. I will gladly provide it. Thanks!

If you use the NVidia ones then install over the top.Maybe ask ASUS what they recommend or if its OK to use the NVidia ones. I'm sure the NVidia ones will be OK.

hi, can somebody tell me that drivers for AGP cards with ref to nvidia available on nvidia's own website are better to use or ones available on 3rd party websites are betters. For instance now a days the latest version of driver available on nvidia's website is 81.98, however, on some other sites e.g, latest version of driver i.e later version then 81.98 is available for nvidia cards. So my question is: is it better to go with the one available on nvidia's own site or the other one????

thnx :grinthumb

Answer:Are nvidia's own website drivers better or third party drivers???

I only use the WHQL drivers on Nvidia's site. Newer versions may just be beta versions or modified (hacked) drivers.

Hello. I have a MSI NF750-G55 motherboard which came with Nvidia sound drivers. Windows update even provided an update for the nvidia drivers once I connected to the internet.

However, I also know that there are Realtek sound drivers. Will my system be more stable if I just install the nvidia drivers or should I install the realtek HD drivers too? Or would having 2 sound drivers cause freezes?

I appreciate any advice. So far all my sound works great so that isn't an issue, and I don't really care about having the realtek audio manager.

Answer:Nvidia sound drivers, realtek drivers, or both?

Basically, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

The sound is a Realtek chip on the motherboard, thus the Realtek would be the first choice, but if other supplied drivers work and you have all functions there is no need for additional drivers. The Microsoft drivers are actually Realtek drivers (but Microsoft can be several versions behind due to their validation process).

Thanks a lot

Answer:Satellite L50-A-1CU - Can I use non-Toshiba drivers for Intel & Nvidia?

Generally speaking yes you can use them. Problem is that such drivers are not supported and tested by Toshiba so you use them on own risk.
To be honest in last several years I?ve heard different stories about it. Some people are happy with better graphic performance.

Some people are complaining about very loud machine and permanent running cooling vent. Even after original recovery image installation the situation is same. I?ve heard that values in GPU BIOS will be changed and it is not possible to recover them to original and default settings.

There are also reports about switch offs as result of overheating.

I don?t know what to say about it. I use my machine with original drivers. I don?t want to risk anything. Of course with your machine you can do whatever you want so it is your decision.

If you will install them please be so nice and send us some feedback. It can be very useful for other notebook owners.

XPS 14.  About 3 years old.  Ran the Intel Driver Update utility which told me there was a new driver for the Intel HD 4000.  But it goes to great length warning me that Dell has thier own preferred version and I should use that 3 year old version.  Nvidia wants me to update the Geforce GT 630M.
Is that just overkill warning?  I know I could always roll back but the warnings sound so serious ;^)

Answer:Update drivers (NVidia and Intel) despite warnings?

It is serious. You never use any driver unless it comes from Dell. They customize drivers for laptops and any updates must come from Dell. Laptops rarely need driver or bios updates. Sign up to be notify if Dell ever has any updates.

I tried to install [email protected] on a few Toshiba laptops, but it needs a newer Catalyst driver than the latest available on Toshiba's website (their drivers not being updated since March). This page said that "Some OEM and some laptop vendors modify the Catalyst drivers that ship with their cards" and recommends just downloading from ATI's site. Is there any technical disadvantage or pitfall in doing that if the driver's custom? I'm guessing it would be unsupported by Toshiba, at least.

Answer:OEM-provided drivers versus vanilla graphics drivers?

Be sure to read the release notes for the driver and make certain that it supports your model. If not, look in the archives and find an older one.

Usually, the standard ATI driver will work on an OEM machine. It's not unusual for the manufacturer's site to post only the driver they shipped with the machine. But you can always roll back if it does not work as desired (an option in Device Manager).

I go to the intel website and i run the scan for new driver updates and it gives me a a download. However when i tried to run this download it gave my monitor black screens halfway through the installation.

The current drivers i have are from 10/13/11 so they are kind of outdated

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe I am right that most, if not all, LCD monitors can only display a maximum of 24 bit colour. I am looking to sort out my graphics drivers for my new computer and just want to make sure I get it right and so avoid any kind of nightmare, I am sure some of you will be able to point me in the right direction....

I have a GTS250 card installed on my PC running windows 7 64 bit. It is currently using the standard windows drivers would have automatically installed when the computer was put together. I would like to change these to the proper Nvidia drivers so I can have the control panel and more control etc.

This is what I think I need to do:
1. Download correct Nvidia drivers and save somewhere
2. Uninstall the GTS250 device in device manager with remove the software option
3. Boot in safe-mode and run a driver cleaner thingy (which one is free and best??)
4. Restart and run the Nvidia install program

Is this correct? Is it necessary to use a driver sweeper? I have read that the generic driver can just be installed over but I am not sure about this. Is it the uninstall option that I need to use? I have also read that windows will automatically re-install the generic driver from a ?store?, how can I stop this happening?

Sorry for all the questions! I have only ever done this sort of thing once before (integrated graphics to a proper card on my old PC) and your help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

P.S If this has been covered before, I apologise! Please link me to it!

Answer:Installing Nvidia graphics drivers

I am also running Win 7 64 bit.

I created a folder - NVIDIA - under Program files and installed the drivers to that folder. When a new driver version comes out, I empty the folder and install the newer version to it.

(D/L from NVIDIA to Download folder, right click on file and Run As Administrator)

(Just got through doing it this morning, as a matter of fact.)

I'd delete the current drivers from Control Panel - Programs and Features, if in fact they show up there.

I've never used a driver sweeper.

How do you like the card, I was looking at one on Newegg today. I believe it has an HDMI output.

Guess ill start with my system specs, if that helps any

1.66ghz duo core processors
2GB ram
Geforce 8600M GS 256mb

And of course, Windows Vista Ultimate. (/cry)

Ive noticed my performance in games has been very disapointing, to say the least.
My FPS is on average lower than my old PC, which has less ram, CPU speed, and a worse GFX card.

I think it is my drivers for my graphics card, but I am having some issues.

My HP auto updater recognizes that i need new drivers, but when i download the file via the autoupdater i get error messages
that i am trying to uninstall my drivers using a 32 bit program while running a 64 bit program

Then it gives me another error saying 'this program is designed for windows vista, and it appears you are not running that software'

Then I get the first error again.

Then it quits out of the installer.

What do i do?

One other question I have: could i uninstall Vista and Install XP?

Answer:Nvidia Graphics Drivers... Help Needed...

taken from Nvidia's website:

"The NVIDIA Detonator drivers are self-installing drivers. This makes it very easy for end-users to upgrade their drivers to the latest version. Simply download the appropriate drivers from the NVIDIA Web site at, and save the file to your hard drive. Make sure you are not running any download utilities in the background. This tends to corrupt the drivers if not disabled.

Once the file is on your hard drive, disable any anti-virus programs running in the background. Certain anti-virus programs will prevent you from making any changes to your system files and can corrupt your drivers. Once you have prepared your system for the driver installation, simply run the drivers you have downloaded by double-clicking on the file. The drivers will automatically update your current drivers and make the necessary changes to your system. If you are running Windows NT4, it will ask you which graphics card you are installing. This is because Windows NT4 cannot correctly detect your graphics card make and model. Once the drivers have been installed, Windows will ask you to restart your computer to complete the changes. Allow Windows to restart. Once you are back in Windows, you are done with the driver installation."

so i guess i don't need to uninstall anything???

This even happens in safe mode. I also cant uninstall ntune as it says that I need an nvidia NFORCE 2 or 3 motherboard to operate and I have an NFORCE 6 mobo! any suggestions?

I dont know if its related but if i use the volume keys on my keyboard to increase/decrease/mute or play/pause audio or video it completely locks all keyboard and mouse functions apart from mouse movement, ctrl+alt+delete and the windows key but i cant click on anythin or press enter. I recently installed the forceware 163.75 drivers from the nvidia website but now i cant uninstall them! no matter which way i do it, if its in add/remove programs or device manager it just crashes on the uninstall. if i go into the device manager it locks as soon as i click yes on the 'are you sure you want to uninstall these drivers' box.

The computer itself carries on working.

While looking at the Dell driver website I noticed the driver I have installed for my Wi-Fi adapter, Qualcomm QCA9377 is not the latest, in fact it is several months older than the newest one on the Dell website,,A15. There are several versions between the driver I have installed on my Laptop and the newest one. What is odd is the fact I used the Dell Driver Update utility in Support Assist to update my drivers to what I thought would be the newest versions. The driver I have installed is,A07 dated 08/05/17 while the newest driver is dated Nov 2017. Why is it that while there are several newer drivers available for my Wi-Fi adapter the Dell update service installs a driver several months old, it's not like the newer versions are Beta versions. Also would it be ok for me to download and install the newest version or could this cause me any problems.

Laptop: Dell 15 5567
Wireless Adapter:  Qualcomm QCA9377 802.1.1ac

I have searched everywhere for the correct drivers to install XP Pro on my new Dell Inspiron 15 (3521) but have not found the correct one.

I have downloaded the nlite software to make a new XP cd with the correct SATA drivers for XP pro but can not seem to find the correct driver that will let me install XP on the SATA hdd.

Reason for going backward in OS is the main program I use in my work will not work on anything but xp pro and windows 7 Pro.

I had the dealer where I bought the laptop, to install from Windows 8, which came on the laptop, back to windows 7 Pro and it appears that all the "things" are not there in the windows 7 pro, for much of anything to work except what seems to be just the "basics" of Windows 7. My work program will not work either.

Guess I should have asked for XP Pro at the dealer.

Anyone know which exact driver or drivers I need to get to intergrate with the XP pro OS?

Thanks and Have a Great Day,

I did a fresh install of windows 7 on my laptop. I then got a DELL engineer from the software team to do a drivers install.
But the screen on full resolution has problems. When I turn on the laptop and log in the screen gets all weird and flickers and shows grey lines and it?s very hard to use.
To resolve this I press the sleep button and then turn it back on.
I have intel 3000 graphics and nvidia graphics driver 332.21

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. Your best option would be to go to the Dell Website and Download the Drivers for your Graphics Card ... See if that helps any .. I assume you paid to get this repaired by the DELL engineer .. It should be their job to fix it ..

Hi all, my questions are simple: why the latest nvidia/lenovo driver is the 307.45? On nvidia website this driver is designed for Quadro-Tesla gpu and not for geforce 600m class gpu (look here: If i watch the gpu's clock in nvidia control panel/system's informations the valor isn't correct (475mhz instead of 660mhz) but using gpu-z i can see that the default clock is 660mhz.. So what's wrong? And why the gpu boost from 660 to 800mhz doesn't work while gaming?Second question: I have updated Intel graphic driver downloading it from Intel website. Can i have some problems using the latest Intel driver? Or i must use only the oldest one from Lenovo website? Thanks in advance Note: My OS is Windows 8 64bit full updated.

All: I have had an issue that hasn't gotten any help from Lenovo.  Fortunately I did get some help from Intel forums.  If any of you have Optimus, the Intel drivers both from Lenovo's website and also from the Intel website do not load - they complain about not finding the hardware.  Intel gave me the tip that the driver should indeed load even on an optimus system.  There is nothing custom or unique about the Intel driver on an Optimus system. Here is the link to the steps I used to successfully update both my Intel and Nvidia graphic drivers to the latest releases available from the vendors - while we wait for Lenovo to release an update more currently than every 6 months.

Answer:need drivers of intel/dell?

Your drivers are HERE

Do install the Chipset (Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility) one first and reboot, then install the Micrsoft UAA driver from HERE and then your Audio (Analogue Devices), Video (Intel Grantsdale G Integrated Video) and Network (Intel Gigabit LOM) from the Dell link earlier.

I have an Ideapad Z560 with Intel HD integrated graphics and I'm having some issues with movie pixelation/macroblocking that I'm guessing might be fixed by updating the drivers, but the ones on the Lenovo site are from two years ago. Is there a way to use the more recent drivers on Intel's website? Would it make a difference?

I am trying to update the graphics drivers for my laptop using the intel driver update utility to fix a problem with a game that I am playing (Overwatch). However when I try to use the facility it says that I have to use drivers that are from HP. How do I obtain these HP drivers or how can I use the drivers directly from Intel?

I've been trying several different versions of Intel graphics drivers (HD 4000) to fix the BSODs, but keep getting them. I got one during a heavy CPU load (x264 encoding) a couple days ago on the latest Windows 8.1 driver from Intel's site. After a while of looking up drivers I downgraded to a Windows 8 driver (3165), but then got one just now while trying to put my laptop to sleep. I could only upload the info for the most recent one, because before that I had my pagefile disabled.

edit: Also, ever since the bsod related to video encoding, I monitor my CPU temps with RealTemp and keep my laptop propped up with a fan underneath.

Answer:BSODs from Intel graphics drivers

Most laptop video (currently) has dual video cards.
As such, it requires that the OEM carefully match and customize the drivers for each card and the drivers for making them work nicely together.

Using the stock Intel drivers may not be the best solution here. On my Samsung 780 series laptop I have graphics issues when using the Intel-provided graphics drivers and the AMD provided graphics drivers (and have seen the same on systems with nVidia graphics). Cleaning these drivers off and installing the Samsung provided drivers fixes these problems for me - I would suggest the same for you.

There is only 1 memory dump in the uploaded reports. If you're using a disk cleaning program, please stop while we're troubleshooting.

Only 51 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 60 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).
Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available.

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed... Read more

Hello, laptop specs - Acer Aspire One AOD270. I'd like to use sandboxie as i need to use java (oracle).

i recently tried loading sandboxie with firefox and got the BSOD. Bluescreenview showed that the following was the the cause;

''caused by driver'' igdkmd32.sys ''file description'' Intel (R) WDDM Kernel mode driver ''product name''Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers forWindows 7(R)

igdkmd32.sysis is a file of the INTEL GRAPHICS MEDIA ACCELERATOR 3600 SERIES, , driver on my laptop.

On the Acer laptop driver support site there a two VGA updates available , and

I've never updated drivers before so hoping for some guidance as no forum has been able to help me as yet and seing as my warranty has expired Acer is not much help.

eg,which one should i choose, do i need to delete the old one before installing the new, and what is the procedure for updating ?

I've asked on other forums but as yet i've found no guidance, so any help much appreciated.

Answer:Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers

removing the old drivers prior to doing an update is of course the best way to go, though isn't required but problems could occur installing over the top of old drivers.

hope doing the update will resolve the issue.

So I recently Purchased my first laptop. I went with lenovo. Good company and hardware for a great price. Now heres where I have a problem. I went to update my Intel HD 4000 drivers since the ones that came with the laptop are about a year old (two months away from that now) and I recieve a message saying that I have to use the manufacturers drivers. So I think myself ok. Ill go on Lenovo support and get them there. BUT...The newest drivers online at lenovo support are the same ones preinstalled on my laptop???? So is lenovo going to release an update of intel intergrated graphics drivers since the preformance increase has been huge in the last few months? or Is there a way to get around the lenovo software so i can install my own intel drivers? or Am I going to have to wipe my hard drive clean and install my own OS?

My laptop has Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) on a partition and I am having trouble finding drivers for my graphics card, which is an Intel HD Graphics 4000 model. I have tried my manufacturer's website, Intel's drivers, and all of them don't work. They end up with an error like 'This operating system is not supported.' Also, when I contact support, all they say is to upgrade to Windows 7. When I did get a driver to install, it messed up my screen, so I had to revert to the VGA Graphics Adapter again. If someone could help me find some drivers that were made for Vista or were for Windows 7 but were released quite a long time ago, that would be awesome.

Hello,I'm owner of Dell Inspiron 7567 (1Tb SATA disk is used).I'm pretty interested in Intel Optane 32GB M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x2.But it was found that other Dell Inspiron 7567 user have the problems with Intel Optane -

The official answer of Intel Corporation:"Hello Jefersongfelipin,We understand you would like to use Intel® Optane™ Memory Technology but the software does not work to enable it.We'd like to inform you first that, the Intel® Optane™ Memory Technology, was first targeted to work in desktop computers. For laptops or mobile systems will be available at a later date. For more information, you can check this link.We do know that, even if your laptop meets the requirements, the reason why it may not fully work is that the BIOS is not Intel® Optane™ ready and will require at least the Intel® RST version installed on it.Manufacturers should provide this BIOS update, so it can fully work for this purpose. Please let us know if you require further assistance.Regards,Nestor C"
Are there provided any fix to the problem?Does the latest at the moment Inspiron 7567 BIOS driver (01.00.07) support  Intel Optane?Thank you.

Answer:Deos Dell Inspiron 7567 support Intel Optane?

Right now, no - your system has no optane support.
The Dell systems that do support Optane are listed here (and are all desktops)

Okay that was worst idea i ever had, i installed nvidia drivers. I downloaded it from website and unfortunatley i chose to automatically find drivers. As everyone expects, it downloaded wrong driver for me.
Now it only allows 640x480 resolution, and the screen is messed and in crazy colours.
I can uninstall drivers, but if i do this - i think - i wont be able to boot my windows again. because it happened once before and i had to reinstall windows.
i have geforce fx 5900 (i think, but im not sure - actually thats why i chose 'auto find')

I cant do system restore... its turned off for me.

Answer:Solved: nvidia drivers killed my graphics

Try going to device manager and roll back the driver..Also you should be able to boot in to "safe mode"...restart and hit F8 until you get a screen with "would you like to run windows in safe mode". Use the up-down keys and enter.. Once in safe mode then find the device manager..and change your driver back one. It has a list.

So, i as using windows 8 Rtm. I had installed the windows 7 drivers for my Sony Vaio VGN-AR730e, which has an Nvidia GeForce 8400m Gt graphics card. Everything was fine for a few days, and then it shut off. When I turned it back on, the opening splash screen before windows (i'm aware bios isn't viewable anymore, shame...) had green lines going halfway through the screen, and every screen that has the blinking cursor at the top left also has a lot of apostrophes all over the screen.

I tried getting the 302.80 nvidia graphics card and it says it won't work, as well. I can't install any other operating system other than windows 8, nothing else will load. What did windows do to my computer?

Answer:Corrupted Bios because of Nvidia graphics drivers?

nVidia (ForceWare 56.72, 53.04, 45.23):

We at are currently working on a more complete driver benmarking review. Expect to see 13 different ATI drivers, on 5 different Benchmarks in the near future.

I really don?t know where the problem is. You have the following options:

1. Click [HERE|] to reach the european drivers download site for downloading a nvidia graphics driver for your machine.

2. Go to to get some nvidia graphics drivers. Remember to read the FAQ section on that site before doing something.

Hi all,

I was playing Assassin's Creed (about 10 minutes ago) when this started. Every minute or so, the screen blacks out for about 3 seconds before coming back again. A message pops up saying the display drivers have stopped responding and then have recovered again. The problem is getting more frequent by the minute and now blacks out after about 20 seconds.

Will updating my drivers fix this problem? I'm pretty pissed though as I assassinated one of the main 'dudes' in AC and now I've got to do it all over again. Any ideas? I've attached a screenshot of the problem.

Answer:NVIDIA Graphics Drivers Stopped Responding

Hello Jaidyn.

You're using NVIDIA's latest driver, which appears to be problematic if reports are to be believed.

Try rolling back to the previous version: 270.61. as going for the latest driver all the time can be counter-productive until any bugs have been ironed out.

You might want to consider whether you've over-clocked too much?
