Intel® Management Engine Critical Firmware Update (Intel SA-00086) for Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK

Question: Intel® Management Engine Critical Firmware Update (Intel SA-00086) for Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK

Will Lenovo release a fix for critical vulnerabilities in Intel Management Engine for my Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK? I have not found it on the official Lenovo list, but Intel's tool says it's vulnerable. I have Intel ME firmware version 11.0.0.1197 and it's a Skylake version of this Yoga notebook. It's still on warranty. There is not my notebook:https://support.lenovo.com/pl/pl/product_security/len-17297

Preferred Solution: Intel® Management Engine Critical Firmware Update (Intel SA-00086) for Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So I've run Intel's vulnerability detection tool on my laptop and it says this model (700-14ISK, model 80QD) is vulnerable. I've searched the Lenovo Security Advisory LEN-17297 but my laptop isn't listed at all let alone have an update to download. I've also looked up all downloads available for my laptop on it's support page and I did run the BIOS update available - however, after the update was completed, I ran the Intel tool again and it says the system is still vulnerable. When will a security update for this issue be available or where can I find it?Thanks,-Matt

Answer:When will the Intel Management Engine Firmware update be available for the Yoga 910?

I see a lot of people asking this question, and the best answer I have seen so fare is that they are working on certifying Intel's firmware update on all vulnerable Lenovo systems as fast as they can, and will release the firmware updates as soon as possible.

I was pretty shocked to see this update.  Apparently, intel management engine is a backdoor which allows full control of the machine, even if the power is off. It is something on intel motherboards.  It has been noted that a backdoor can be used by a) legitimate corporate administrators, b) hackers c) gov. organisations. Firstly, why would any user want to install a back door which allows undetectable access to the machine without the users knowlege or inteveition? Secondly, why is this installed by Lenovo as standard, if it is only used by some large organisations? Or am I wrong? I have seen many articales about it saying "Intels management engine is the single most dangerous piece of computer hardward ever created", mainly because it has access to everything and noone knows exactly what it can do. Now I am trying to find a way to remove this major security back door. It seems that noone knows if disabling it in the bios is actaully disabling it, or not. It seems not, as you can still get a response from AMT if you hit: http://127.0.0.1:16992/logon.htm, and if you open the "intel management and security status" application, it says that AMT is enabled. It seems ifyou connect to a public wifi, the machnes AMT is avaible to everyone on the network. I have also seen that there are exploits allowing hackers to gain full access to your machine with trivial exploits such as sending null password. Very very bad. ... Answer:critical update: "intel management Engine 8.1 Firmware" a potential major security back door?

Management Engine's behavior has been well documented since it's inception. You're a little late to the party The legitimate and intended use of the feature is for system administrators to provision and manage corporate machines remotely and conveniently. It's not installed by Lenovo as standard, but rather Intel on any platform certified vPro (your system would have had this sticker from the factory). If you are not in a corporate environment managed by Intel AMT, then it only provides risks and zero benefit. Removing it is impossible; wiping the ME firmware externally causes your system to shutdown 30 minutes after boot. The firmware update you see fixes an exploitable vulnerability that was recently discovered in Intel's ME firmware.

On my P50, when I check for updates with Lenovo Companion, it always tries to install Intel Management Engine 11.0 Firmware, and it downloads, says it failed when the little black command prompt opens, reboots, and then the update history said it was installed, yet Intel Management Engine 11.0 Firmware keeps popping up as an update.  What is this update supposed to do? Why is it failing? Everything else on this computer is up to date.

When I run the "Update" app on "Lenovo Companion" it tells me I need this and then appears to go through the whole installation process followed by a reboot. But then when I run the "Update" app again it tells me I still need to install it, as if it never happened. I went to the Lenovo support page to try to install it from there but I have the same problem, in that after rebooting and running the "Update" feature it tells me I still need to install it. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have a ProBook 450 G3 running Windows 10. I am planning on updating the BIOS to N78 Ver. 01.15 Rev.A (from Ver. 01.12). I noticed the following statement on the BIOS download page: "HP strongly recommends updating the Management Engine firmware to version 11.0.18.1002 to prevent BIOS/Management Engine firmware corruption issues.". How can I determine the version of the IME firmware on my system? The latest version of the IME firmware for download is 11.0.0.1202 ... should I just go ahead and download and install that before the BIOS update? Thanks in advance,Mike

Answer:BIOS Update / Intel Management Engine Firmware

Hello, Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum. To answer your question about Intel ME... Perhaps in the Control Panel > Programs and features. When you find it there click on it and it should show a versionorif you search for it in C:\Program files or C:\Program files (x86) and search inside the folder, it should show the version somewhere. You may also see if this tool will work on W10 > https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19009     But considering you already have experience with BIOS things , I am wondering why do you want to do it again... General recommendation I provide to users/customers is NOT to upgrade BIOS/UEFI unless they experience any kind of specific BIOS/UEFI issue. Updating just for the "noble cause" of updaing and just for using the latest verson is not solution. Any kind of update (no matter for what and who relesed it) can fix 2 issues but may introduce 10 more issues. Additionally, upgrading the BIOS (for any vendor) poses more risks because BIOS recovery is not that easy as compared to typical software updates IF something goes wrong. Same applies for Windows Updates, OS update, drivers updates, etc - upgrade/update IF you have issues which you know are fixed in the newer version or for some severe security issues. Otherwise, keep the existing version as long as possible.

A couple of days ago i updated the Intel Management Engine Firmware to version 9.5 through the Lenovo System Update software. Imediately after restarting I noticed how much slower the computer was. It took some extra time to boot up, and was much, MUCH slower at starting up apps like spotify and firefox, etc. I also noticed a massive slowdown when playing. The task manager shows a normal usage of CPU, RAM and GPU, I'm usually at no more than 40% and I can still notice the slow down at all times. Is there a way to roll this update back? Do I have to wait until another not-messed up update? Thanks in advance.

Greetings everyone!I've got a Lenovo T520 running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with Service Pack 1. Two days ago I upgraded Intel Management Engine Firmware to version 7.1.91.3272 via Lenovo System Update. Since then my laptop has lost the ability to sleep. When I press the Sleep key my laptop performs an emergency power-off and then asks me if I want to start Windows normally or in the safe mode when I power it up again. The hybrid sleep function still works, but it takes much longer than just dumping the current session into RAM. I tried everything: updated the BIOS firmware (1.46) and the Intel 3000 video card drivers (9.17.10.4229). I have the latest Lenovo Power Manager software (6.68.13) too.Is there a way to roll back the Intel Management Engine Firmware to an earlier version?

This update fixes a bug in earlier version where BSOD occurs if managment engine components are deactivated.   But in order to complete the recommended update, user must first uninstall managment engine components, then install new version.   Can someone please explain then why uninstalling the management engine components in order to upgrade won't leave me with BSOD and no way to proceed?   Also, does anyone know how to determine in Windows 8.1 what version of .NET Framework is presently installed?  New version of Intel management engine components required at least version 3.5. Thanks for the help.

Answer:Avoid BSOD bug -- Lenovo Sys Update says update Intel Management Engine Components

It should be alright. Guessing wildly, but I think by "deactivated" it means deactivated in the BIOS settings. Make a restore point you can restore to just in case it goes bad.Windows 8.1 has at least .NET Framework 3.5 by default.

Hello all,
I have DELL Inspiron 15R 5520 with freshly installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 but some annoying issues began to occur after cold booting my laptop :
1- 15 seconds delay between the power up lights turn on and the DELL BIOS logo.
2- A yellow mark appears next to Intel Management Engine Interface Driver with Error Code 10 ( this device could not start ), but this problem disappears when i restart my laptop and comes back after a cold boot.
I tried many things to solve this problem but none of them worked for me :
1- I tried a clean install of Windows and installing all drivers in correct order > didn't work.
2- I tried upgrading to latest BIOS and resetting CMOS Battery > same problem.
3- I tried uninstalling IMEI driver and reinstalling it again after a restart > nothing works.
A friend of mine told me that there may be a problem with Intel Management Firmware and this could probably cause that slow BIOS startup and the problem of IMEI driver in device manager.
So, can anyone suggest an effective way to fix that Intel Management Engine firmware corruption ?
And if its not the firmware...what could cause that BIOS delay ? Could the MB be faulty or something ?
I'm waiting for your replies and thanks in advance.

According to this article "Kernel memory leaking' Intel processor design flaw forces Linux, Windows redesign" there's a fundamental design flaw in Intel's processor chips, which can only be fixed by changing the hardware or patching the system. However, patching might lead to a performance loss of 30% (depending on the task and the processor model). My question is: How is Lenovo going to deal with it and is there a way to completely deactivate the Intel Management Engine?, I don't see any option in the Bios (I have a Thinkpad P51, FW: 1.17). I have already the newest IME security patch. PS: I could have also posted this subject in all other sections, since all new Intel x86-64 hardware is affected by it.

Intel has major security flaws in the Management Engine. You need to read the Intel emergency memo from a few hours ago.
In the memo, Intel links a tool to check if your system is vunerable.
Right now neither Dell nor Intel has posted updated software to remedy this critical issue for the XPS 9560 or 9550.

I don't have any ME is in recovery message when booting up too.  Problem sorted. lenovo you have to correct the latest Intel management engine firmware 7.1.86.1221which causes issues with power management

On May 1, Intel published a security advisory regarding a critical firmware vulnerability in certain systems that utilize Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), Intel Standard Manageability (ISM) or Intel Small Business Technology (SBT). The vulnerability could enable a network attacker to remotely gain access to business PCs or devices that use these technologies. Lenovo is aware of this problem and has published Lenovo Security Advisory: LEN-14963, which includes a timetable for their scheduled fix for specific platforms.   Sorry, I did not realize that this is duplicate information already published in the forum: Vulnerability-hits-Intel.

Good afternoon. I have several ThinkCentre M92p computers and these have been upgraded to Windows 10. I ran Intel's SA-00086 utility and they need to have the Security Update installed on them. I checked in Lenovo support and there isn't a Windows 10 version of the update. There is a Windows 8.1 version available and I'm pretty sure that installing the Windows 8.1 update would work but before I potentially hose the computers in Finance and Operations I thought I'd check to make sure it'll work. So, will the Windows 8.1 update work on my ThinkCentres running Windows 10?  Thanks, Joe B

I'm running Linux on a Thinkpad T440p. To do Intel AMT firmware update to address Intel AMT vulnerability CVE-2017-5689 (or INTEL-SA-00075) https://support.lenovo.com/ch/en/product_security/len-14963 do I have to install Windows? The vulnerability is well described here: https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme I've already used the Linux tool Intel provided to "unprovision" AMT https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26799/INTEL-SA-00075-Linux-Detection-and-Mitigation-Tools but Intel says that merely mitigates this critical vulnerability. Does this Windows tool do more than merely mitigate? https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26755/INTEL-SA-00075-Detection-and-Mitigation-Tool I see a chipset firmware update: Intel Management Engine Firmware 9.1 for Windows 10 (64-bit), 8.1 (64-bit), 8 (64-bit), 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad T440p, T540p, W540, W541 / version 9.1.41.3024 / date 2017/05/17 here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ch/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-... So does that mean I have to install Windows to run this critical firmware update? Thanks.

Hi all, Yesterday when I turned on the computer and logged in into windows, a warning-window poped-up asking for recomended "Firmware Update" by Lenovo. I ve proceeded with the update. After an intall-restart I wasn't able to log in with my fingerprint anymore. After a small investigation I've realized that are now three devices with problems (Code 31) in my device manager. The devices are:Biometric Devices - Synaptics WBDI - SGXSensors - HID Sensor Collection V2System Devices - System Interface Foundation V2 DeviceSo, besides the FingerPrint, I'm not able to use the Auto-Rotate (when turning the lid into tablet or tent mode) feature and the Lenovo Vantage Software since it asks me to update the System Interface Foundation Driver. What I have tried so far:Reinstall (since I can't rollback) the Firmware Driver: "Type C Firmware for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 920-13IKB, Yoga 920-13IKB Glass 1.3" (since there isn't a lower version to roll back)Reinstall all drivers from Lenovo web-page (FingerPrint, System Interface Foundation, Chipset, Display, Audio, etc)And finally, Reinstall the operating system Windows 10 64 using system restore I've not clue what to do next and I'm really avoiding opening an RMA. Please help me. Thank you.

The system update wanted me to run the latest critical updates but now it has stopped at 91%. In the console window it says it is currently sending the update image to FW for verification and that I MUST NOT shut down my computer until it is done. Thus verification is at 79% and has been so for quite some time now. What should I do?

Hi,    Yesterday I tested my Yoga 900S with the Intel detection tool and it's come up as being affected by the Intel SA-00086 vulnerability.  I found this document which lists the status of Lenovo products with regard to the vunerability and there is no mention of my model so I contacted the support team and they were unable to provide any further information.  I then requested that they formally open a ticket, which they did.  Today, less than 12 hours after opening the ticket, it was closed with the following response "after your escalation was received and the case was thoroughly investigated, your request cannot be fulfilled".  No further information other than making sure to tell me that any response will be ignored.     Is this the best that Lenovo can do?  It's not like I was expecting an immediate fix but at least some formal recognition that they knew there was a problem and were working on it.  I could understand if this was a cheap laptop a few years old but this is a laptop that was quite expensive and is around 3 months out of warranty, I'm sure some are still in their warranty.   Rob

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 14. I'm using Lenovo's tool "System Update 5". This indicates there's an update for "Intel Management Engine 11.0 Firmware -7 [32,64]/8.1/10 [64]". When installing using the Lenovo tool, I get the following error message: "error 8743 Unknown or unsupported platform" (screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/wvcX8) What should I do? I googled the error message but am unable to understand the complex discussions I found for this error message. *Update 23-June: I installed the Intel driver update manager (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html?iid=dc_iduu). The only driver that needed updating was for wifi. I installed that but it did not change my problem. Any suggestions what to do?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 14. It has a i7-5500U processor.

There's a critical update for "Intel Management Engine 11.0 Firmware -7 [32,64]/8.1/10 [64]". However, installing it produces the following error message: "error 8743 Unknown or unsupported platform". (see attached screenshot)

I've tried installing it with the utility from the Lenovo site, as well as using the standard Lenovo updating tool called "System Update 5". Both with the same result.

I don't know what to do. Intel says it can't help because it's Lenovo specific. And Lenovo won't help because it's out of warranty.

Answer:Intel Management Engine Fails To Update

Try the Intel Driver Update Utility if it doesn't show there, or wont install, just forget it if your system is working ok.

I own an Inspiron 5558 laptop.  For the past few months, this Intel Management Engine Interface Driver keeps asking to update the software.  I have tried both a complete removal followed by a reinstall and just a repair.  After both sequences I restarted the laptop.  It is still asking to update the software.
I am out of warranty on my laptop but would still appreciate any/all suggestions to resolve this.
Thank you!

Hello. Back story, our company has purchased and now rolled out our Lenovo X1 Yoga laptops (model 20FQ).  During the rollout, we installed all of the drivers from lenovo's site via the MDT driver package and then deployed the latest System Inteface Foundation so we could install teh Lenovo Settings app later down the road via the Windows 10 App store.   We have not installed the lenovo settings or lenovo companion apps from the store but are now receiving reports of users getting a message from "Lenovo Companion" that an update is available.  The update that is available is an Intel ME firmware update.  Is there a way to disable or prevent these updates from pushing to users via registry or configuration file? Does the System Interface Foundations app contain the Lenovo Companion app or the update features?   Screenshot of update message attached.  We do have the ADMX templates for Lenovo Companion and Settings in our AD/GPO; would disabling updates in the GPO for Companion prevent these from running even though we don't really have the actual Companion app installed? Thanks!Further details:Win10 x64 Enterprise Edition 1607 build w/all latest patches/updates.

Answer:X1 Yoga and Intel ME Firmware update being pushed but how?

Lenovo System Interface Foundation (LSIF) is doing this.  The only purpose of this app is to support Lenovo Settings and Lenovo Companion, so if you don't install these apps, there is no point to install LSIF.  One of the features of LSIF is to automatically install "critical" updates for Lenovo software and drivers, such as this recent Intel ME Firware update.

I was working away the other day and I received a Lenovo critical pop up which I recall was for the Intel update and I clicked the update button.
I have a Lenovo W520 and now whenever I put the computer to sleep, it looks like it went to sleep however the sleep light only goes on for a second and then goes off, where the light should stay lit until I want to use the computer again.  Now the computer will only start back up if I press the power button and it asks if I want to start the computer normally etc. as it looks like the system now crashes on sleep.

I checked the power options and all looks ok and I don't see new messages in the event viewer except for "The previous system shutdown at 9:37:45 PM on ?06/?07/?2017 was unexpected." and "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi all , I have a Lenovo T410s for over 10 months plus. Inside is a Intel X18 G2 80GB SSD, model number is SSDSA1M080G2LE, firmware version 2CV102J6. Recently I 'feel' that it is getting slower plus some unexplained BSOD and restart so I was going to reformat the SSD and install Window 7 Pro 64bit. I googled and read most of the forum post I can find on TRIM features. It seem like we need to upgrade the firmware using Intel software. But there were several report that even if I set the T410s BIOS - AHCI mode to compatible before running the firmware upgrade, it would still fail. Have anyone done the firmware upgrade succesfully and let window 7 perform the TRIM natively? Is it wise to do so without the blessing of proper lenovo driver/firmware updates? If this is not possible or wise, then I guess i would have to run the Intel SSD Toolbox - Optimizer daily to do the Trim manually. Would love to hear any feedbacks. Thank you

Answer:Is it wise to update the firmware on Lenovo T410s Intel X18 G2 to support TRIM?

Most of time, it is better to upgrade your firmware. I would recommend you to upgrade it and see how it does.

Hi there, has anyone got access to the Intel Management Engine Menu (Intel AMT / MBEX) from the Lenovo T470s (Model 20HF004UGE)? The usual way by pressing crtl + p during the Lenovo logo doesn't work. If you press ctrl + P there?s a short message under the Lenovo logo saying that Intel Management Configuration is started, but nothing happens and then the normal boot process continues. We have already installed the latest version of the Intel Management Engine firmware via Lenovo System Update. (Version 11.8.50.3425 from 2017/11/09 for Windows 10 (64-bit), 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) We also can't detect any BIOS setting where MBEX / Intel AMT is disabled. Any help is very welcome. Thank you in advance. -------------OVGU-IT  ------------------------------------------------ Hallo Zusammen, hat jemand Zugang zum Intel Management Engine Men (Intel AMT / MBEX) vom Lenovo T470s (Model 20HF004UGE) bekommen? Till now, the driver for Lenovo Energy Management Driver is only available for Win 8.0. Using this driver on Win 8.1, I kept getting the error:Compatibility issue between your power management system and WindowsYour power management system isn't compatible with this version of Windows. The model name of your power management system is Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller. The latest version is 8.0.2.4, but it is only for Win 8.0. Is Lenovo going to support Win 8.1 for the Yoga 11s?

Hello All: I have encountered a perplexing problem when attempting to update the firmware in the Intel Management Engine.  The firmware update is posted on the W520 driver page (it is package 83rf32ww).  The problem is the error message shown in the photo below. The update process starts when the MEUpdate.CMD file is selected within the DOS window, but after a few seconds, the error message at the bottom of the picture appears. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael

Answer:Problem when updating Management Engine (ME) firmware - photo attached

Are you running MEUpdate.CMD by directly double-clicking on it?

If you already are, try opening an elevated Command Prompt window, navigating to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ME (so the interpreter doesn't try and look for the file in C:\Windows\system32), and then run MEUpdate.cmd.

Hello

some friends of mine informed me of this article on extremetech.com that informs us about intel patches major flaws in intel management engine.
Intel has acknowledged and patched a new suite of security problems affecting its Intel Management Engine. This subsystem controls many low-level capabilities of the SoC, and can be used for features like remote access and Intel’s Trusted Execution Engine. The company has released a list of 10 vulnerabilities across multiple products that are addressed by recent driver updates. Potentially affected systems include:

6th, 7th & 8th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Family
Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1200 v5 & v6 Product Family
Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family
Intel® Xeon® Processor W Family
Intel® Atom® C3000 Processor Family
Apollo Lake Intel® Atom Processor E3900 series
Apollo Lake Intel® Pentium™
Celeron™ N and J series Processors

That’s Intel’s entire product line dating back to the introduction of Skylake. According to Intel, attackers could impersonate the Intel Management Engine, Server Platform Services, and/or the Trusted Execution Engine, load and execute arbitrary code without the user or OS being aware of it, and destabilize or crash a system altogether.
Intel has released a detection tool so you can check to see if your system is affected by these issues. Updates will have to be issued by firmware vendors, however, so even ... Read more

I have some problems with the Lenovo software. Lenovo Account Portal does not launch Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings. Also, Lenovo Solution Center is missing from the Start Menu. The second problem is that some tiles are blank in Start Menu. Seemingly it's the apps that aren't Metro. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I think it was like that since I got the PC. If I right click the apps, the only option will be "Pin to Start", and with some apps: Share and Rate. Here's a picture of the problem:I did already try:Restarting the PC.Doing scannow, DISM, and scannow again.Fixing Registry errors with CCleaner.Updating BIOS and drivers. What can I do to fix the problem?

I recently bought this Yoga 700 - 14ISK with dual display card. What I don't understand is, how does these 2 display cards work / swap with each other. It occurs to me  that better display card  NVIDIA GeForce is not even used. When I try to play some games, the display doesn't seem good, and is blurry and out of focus sometime. Also choppy videos often times. My several years old laptop shows better images and smooth game experience. So, can someone please tell me how to use this system to have better gaming experience, and better display in general. Is there a way to force use one over the other display card. Which one is better in your experience. I am sorry, if this is already being discussed, I could not find it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-MZ-V6E250BW-250GB-Express-Solid/dp/B01M211K53/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qi... Thanks!

Getting message to say I have used 119G of 119G.  This could not possibly be correct.  As far as I can see there is no disk partition, only a C:   Since new I have installed very little software and a couple of apps.  Please help

Answer:Lenovo YOGA 700 14ISK

Someone would need more info to help.  What kind of machine?  Operating system?  Disk size?  Why are you sure the message is wrong?  A 128GB SSD could easily have 119GB of usable space with almost all being gone.

Hi just got lenovo yoga 500 - 14ISK for christmas and the bootup time to start Windows 10 is about 4 to 5 minites. With 8g ram, I5-6200 cpu and SSHD 1TB + 8g hard drive it seems abit long. I also have a desktop pc with I5,8g ram and a SSD drive and it take less than a minite. I know its not a full SSD drive in the yoga 500 but its so long to boot up i dont no if its all Lenovo bloatware loading or if its a faulty drive. Any one had the same problem and can give advice please.

Answer:lenovo yoga 500 - 14ISK

Hi focus 5522,system boot up with sshd drive must be under 20 seconds (even with lenovo bloatware), there must by some hw or sw problem, try check your device manager for some broken drivers or task manager for some high cpu usage processes and it can help to find out what's wrong. If you can't find anything, just try reinstall whole your system (lenovo recovery from recovery partiton - accessible thought novo button, or you can download win10 iso image and microsoft usb instal tool and reinstal whole system without lenovo sw.)Tomas

Either go to your motherboards website and find the drivers/support section for your board or:

This is easier than trying to use "intels not so easy to use site"

Hi! I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 710-14isk in France which comes with a charger known as "Wall charger" : this one http://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories-and-monitors/chargers-and-batteries/chargers/PWR-ADP-BO-65W... I'm moving to Canada next month for 2 years and I would like to know if this charger can be turned into a US / Canada charger by changing only the wall plug? It seams that the plug can be separate from the rest of the chaeger but I didn't find how.I didn't find on the lenovo store any plug to replace my french plug as well. Do you know if something like that exist and where I can find it?If not I guesss it's easier and cheaper to buy only a universal plug adapter, but since I'll stay in Canada for a long time, a proper integrated solution seems better for me ! Thank you for your help !

d.At the Command Prompt, type the following commands and hit enter.
