I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So I've run Intel's vulnerability detection tool on my laptop and it says this model (700-14ISK, model 80QD) is vulnerable. I've searched the Lenovo Security Advisory LEN-17297 but my laptop isn't listed at all let alone have an update to download. I've also looked up all downloads available for my laptop on it's support page and I did run the BIOS update available - however, after the update was completed, I ran the Intel tool again and it says the system is still vulnerable. When will a security update for this issue be available or where can I find it?Thanks,-Matt

Will Lenovo release a fix for critical vulnerabilities in Intel Management Engine for my Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK? I have not found it on the official Lenovo list, but Intel's tool says it's vulnerable. I have Intel ME firmware version 11.0.0.1197 and it's a Skylake version of this Yoga notebook. It's still on warranty. There is not my notebook:https://support.lenovo.com/pl/pl/product_security/len-17297

I have a Flex 3-1580 model 80R4. The Intel-SA-00086 detection tool says this system is vulnerable but on the Lenovo Security Advisory page LEN-17297 this model isn't listed. When will the security update for my system be available or where can I find it if it's available now? I did also download a BIOS update on the support page for my system but when I run it, it says its only for "Ideapad 300S-14ISK, Ideapad 500S-14ISK, Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK, Edge 2 1580." None of those are my system so I didn't run the update. Why would your support page serve up a BIOS update that isn't explicitly for my system - potentially bricking it!?

Answer:Intel-SA-00086 vulnerability for Flex 3-1580

I cannot speak to the vulnerability or when Lenovo will release patch for your system, but per the readme.txt file that accompanies the Version D3CN35WW  BIOS Update, it does support your model From the Readme.txt "This package updates the basic input/output system (BIOS) on ideapad 300S-14ISK, ideapad 500S-14ISK, Lenovo Edge 2-1580, Lenovo Flex 3-1480, Flex 3-1580, Yoga 500-14ISK, Yoga 500-15ISK" Cheers,

Hi,    Yesterday I tested my Yoga 900S with the Intel detection tool and it's come up as being affected by the Intel SA-00086 vulnerability.  I found this document which lists the status of Lenovo products with regard to the vunerability and there is no mention of my model so I contacted the support team and they were unable to provide any further information.  I then requested that they formally open a ticket, which they did.  Today, less than 12 hours after opening the ticket, it was closed with the following response "after your escalation was received and the case was thoroughly investigated, your request cannot be fulfilled".  No further information other than making sure to tell me that any response will be ignored.     Is this the best that Lenovo can do?  It's not like I was expecting an immediate fix but at least some formal recognition that they knew there was a problem and were working on it.  I could understand if this was a cheap laptop a few years old but this is a laptop that was quite expensive and is around 3 months out of warranty, I'm sure some are still in their warranty.   Rob

I forgot my supervisory password and did some research. Apparently resetting the battery and cmos won't cut it. What can I do, I heard I can do something to the epromm to reset it but it's risky.

It's contrary to forum rules to discuss ways of defeating BIOS password protection by unofficial means. Officially your only option is to replace the motherboard.

Hi, I recently bought a Yoga 500-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Machine Type 80R5 and have used it extremely rarely. I would say I've used it at a maximum of 30-40 hours. I have had some problems with the laptop but nothing that made it completely un-usable until now. On turning on the machine, the network wireless adapter acts strangely, often showing the airplane mode symbol in the task bar. I may or may not be able to connect to my Wifi network but less than 2 minutes later the entire Wifi adapter disappears from the OS, no longer having Wifi settings or being able to configure the Adapter via device manager. I've been told a fix for this may be turning the wireless off and on again via the BIOS but I can't figure out how I access it, considering the first screen I see is the loading symbol for Windows 10. Anyone got any advice? Harrison

I have some problems with the Lenovo software. Lenovo Account Portal does not launch Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings. Also, Lenovo Solution Center is missing from the Start Menu. The second problem is that some tiles are blank in Start Menu. Seemingly it's the apps that aren't Metro. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I think it was like that since I got the PC. If I right click the apps, the only option will be "Pin to Start", and with some apps: Share and Rate. Here's a picture of the problem:I did already try:Restarting the PC.Doing scannow, DISM, and scannow again.Fixing Registry errors with CCleaner.Updating BIOS and drivers. What can I do to fix the problem?

I recently bought this Yoga 700 - 14ISK with dual display card. What I don't understand is, how does these 2 display cards work / swap with each other. It occurs to me  that better display card  NVIDIA GeForce is not even used. When I try to play some games, the display doesn't seem good, and is blurry and out of focus sometime. Also choppy videos often times. My several years old laptop shows better images and smooth game experience. So, can someone please tell me how to use this system to have better gaming experience, and better display in general. Is there a way to force use one over the other display card. Which one is better in your experience. I am sorry, if this is already being discussed, I could not find it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Answer:Lenovo YOGA 700 14ISK

Someone would need more info to help.  What kind of machine?  Operating system?  Disk size?  Why are you sure the message is wrong?  A 128GB SSD could easily have 119GB of usable space with almost all being gone.

Hi just got lenovo yoga 500 - 14ISK for christmas and the bootup time to start Windows 10 is about 4 to 5 minites. With 8g ram, I5-6200 cpu and SSHD 1TB + 8g hard drive it seems abit long. I also have a desktop pc with I5,8g ram and a SSD drive and it take less than a minite. I know its not a full SSD drive in the yoga 500 but its so long to boot up i dont no if its all Lenovo bloatware loading or if its a faulty drive. Any one had the same problem and can give advice please.

Answer:lenovo yoga 500 - 14ISK

Hi focus 5522,system boot up with sshd drive must be under 20 seconds (even with lenovo bloatware), there must by some hw or sw problem, try check your device manager for some broken drivers or task manager for some high cpu usage processes and it can help to find out what's wrong. If you can't find anything, just try reinstall whole your system (lenovo recovery from recovery partiton - accessible thought novo button, or you can download win10 iso image and microsoft usb instal tool and reinstal whole system without lenovo sw.)Tomas

Hi! I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 710-14isk in France which comes with a charger known as "Wall charger" : this one http://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories-and-monitors/chargers-and-batteries/chargers/PWR-ADP-BO-65W... I'm moving to Canada next month for 2 years and I would like to know if this charger can be turned into a US / Canada charger by changing only the wall plug? It seams that the plug can be separate from the rest of the chaeger but I didn't find how.I didn't find on the lenovo store any plug to replace my french plug as well. Do you know if something like that exist and where I can find it?If not I guesss it's easier and cheaper to buy only a universal plug adapter, but since I'll stay in Canada for a long time, a proper integrated solution seems better for me ! Thank you for your help !

My keyboard stopped suddenly working. First the mousepad froze and when I got it working I realized that the keyboard isn't working. When I try to click anywhere it immediately starts typing "zzzzzzz..." and won't stop. I am currently using my laptop in tablet mode. I was able to type a, q and 1 when holding down the letter z, but I updated the bios and now nothing works (I was previously also able to 'disable' the letter z, when holding it down with the buttons next to it). Could it be possible to fix the problem or should I give up and take it to repairs?

Hi guys,  Got my yoga last month and it's been okay, bit slow to load from sleep but it's done the job. Only thing is its now in a permanent sleep mode. I've tried re-charging it from zero battery, hard reset, putting the lid up and down, combining that with hard reset too. what to do? Do I have to send it somewhere? Obviously I don't want to open the thing up, I'd rather leave that to a professional. cheers.

Ironically, when typing my password at this screen the backspace key works (go fig). When pressing the volume up key, the sound goes down.  When I press any of these keys [-]= alongside shift in an attempt to produce the alternative key output (e.g. capitalizing the key or alternative symbols) the key is unresponsive. Such as the case of t and y - there's no capitalization when holding shift or caps lock. Keys are not responsive when holding shift. This is prevalent when holding keys and the described earlier in the post. I followed the suggestions listed at the following URLhttps://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103985 And the solutions did not work. This is actually quite hot. Is it normal in this laptop? Are these temperatures safe to it? I was so scared by these temperatures that I've uninstalled that game from my laptop.

Hello. I from Belarus and sorry for my bad English.I write in this forum because our support couldn't help me. So, I bought a yoga in February. This lapton is wonderful. I choice it for a very long time because for me it was a very important and expensive thing. But.. in april this happened. At first everything was invisible, but every day more and more.I'm studying for a programmer and for me it was unpleasant. Most of all it was a pity that I chose the laptop because of the convenient keyboard. I writing in support, but they said, that I'm need to go to the service center. But he is 400 km away from me. They said, that I need to wait for evaluation and repair time. I can not afford it financially. Now I looked through many forums, this problem turned out only for me. It's very insulting.I know that you do not do such trifles. Just you last chance not to be disappointed in the purchase. Help me please. Thank you for attention!

Bought one of these and want to up the RAM from 4 to 8Gb
have taken the back off, but the ram appears to be under a metal silver shield with no obvious way in.
Anyone come across this before
There is nowhere else for the RAM to hide
Cheers

Answer:How to access RAM on Lenovo YOGA 510-14isk laptop

"...no obvious way in."
Why on earth Lenovo decided to armour-plate the RAM module in this way is beyond me - the cover serves no good purpose, and certainly doesn't act as an RF shield in any way.
The good news is that you can remove the metal cover quite easily. There are small metal clips along the side, and if you carefully pry these open with a suitable tool ( I have used a small flat-blade screwdriver) you will find that the cover can be opened without too much trouble, revealing the single RAM module.

Hi,I've just bought Lenovo YOGA 500-14ISK ( i7 8GB 500GB GF940-2GB) and I'm very disappointed with one problem - I've notice that  sometimes when I use keyboard, spacebar does not work correctly. After closer look, it appears that space does not work at all if I press it near its right edge (about 0,5 cm from the right edge of spacebar is a blind spot). It is typical flaw in that keyboard and all laptops of this model works like this, or it is only a problem with my unit and I should return it ?

Answer:Lenovo yoga 500-14ISK spacebar problem

No laptop should be like that. Most likely the stabiliser bar which runs underneath the spacebar (and other longer than normal keys) is not attached at one end. While probably easily fixed since it's under warrenty it's not worth risking anything so just have it fixed or exchanged.

I recently bought the new Lenovo yoga 700 and had a problem with the driver. I found out that a generic intel driver that came with the unit and the 'right' driver needed to be installed. The tech over the phone loaded the right driver for my machine, which begs the question as to why the right driver did not come installed to start with? Also, I was having what the tech called 'ghost punches'. Has anyone heard of this and is there a fix?The tech said that the new driver may fix the issue.  Gary

Answer:Lenovo 700 14isk - Intel driver/ ghost punches

Hi middlekeith, Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums. Regarding the ghost punches/ghost touch, there were some isolated issues for that issue on some Yoga 700, in addition to that, there is also a fix for it. Please see this thread. About the Intel driver, it may be possible that the it was the latest version when it was manufactured. Meaning, latest drivers available today may not be available that time. There may be few instances that due to bugs, driver manufacturers are releasing updated driver versions to address/fix the issues existing on the previous versions.Hope this helps!

Hello, I've had this lenovo yoga 710 for only a few months now and on multiple occasions, I've gone to open my camera/skype call, and I get a black screen, that says, "We Can't Find Your Camera". Now, I've read about a million posts about solutions to similar problems, but can't seem to get anything to work. When I go into "Device Manager", there are no camera drivers under "Imaging Devices" or "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers". So I looked it up, and everything I read says to go to the lenovo website, find the right camera driver for my specific computer, and download it. Well, I've tried that with a bunch of different camera drivers including the "AzureWave, Bison, Chicony, Liteon" one that is supposedly the right one for this computer, and after hitting "install" and "finish", I get a pop-up "error" message that simply says, "No device found". I've uninstalled and reinstalled lenovo "easycam", but it says the same thing -- "Can't find device", etc.Any suggestions would be awesome, I've only had this laptop for a few months and this has happened at least 4 or 5 times now and it's really becoming quite the aggravation when trying to video chat with family from college. Thanks in advance!

So, I've had some instances, where I'm doing something on my laptop, and then my computer screen suddenly blacks out for less than 1 second, and then turns on again. After that, I would get a notification that the Intel HD Graphics 520 driver on my PC has crashed and recovered. Then I decided to do a hardware scan, found that the Mathematical Operations Test in Video Card failed, and got the code WVC007002-UL7CAF. I thought the failure would be the cause. Therefore, how would I fix it?

Hey all, I have seen this issue crop up in quite a few places but I have unfortunately never come across a solution which solved my issue. After having my laptop for just over 6 months I finally decided enough is enough and collected information from around to internet to try and solve my issue. The reason I decided to pesued this is that I work for a games company in the tech department and their games runs on laptops over 10 years old with specs that make the Yoga 700 look like a super computer.  What issue? Running the lenovo solutions centre hardware checker on and Lenovo Yoga 700-14ISK will fail on the mathematical operations test. Why is this an issue? For normal use, this is not much of a problem, I have seen reports of other users black screening persistently but I have never personally experienced this issue. It's mostly an issue if you play games with graphical post processing such as ambient occlusion or anti aliasing. You will most certainly black screen a lot.  Dilema. if you're like me, you have tried to install all the graphics drivers under the sun with no prevail. Every time you check your graphics drivers' dates they insist they are up to date with the latest driver from the 18th of December 2015. We all know this is not the case. This is windows 10's handy dandy "KEEP EVERYTHING UP TO DATE AND STABLE" feature, which unfortunately is a double edged sword.  Solution! 1. You have probably just accepte... Read more

Hey there, I recenently got one of the Lenovo Notebooks of the Yogaseries, which exactly it is, is stated in the title. However, since yesterday I never had any problems with it, I really like it, the convertible function etc., but it seems, that my display registeres touches Im not applying, it touches like everywhere over my screen and I dont even have my hands on the computer. When I restart it or install the touchpad driver from the supportsection for my notebook, it is okay for like 10 mins and then it goes all over again. I found an interesting solution for a similar problem, its in this thread: https://support.lenovo.com/de/de/documents/SF15-I0024 I have literally the same issue, problem is, the fix which is downloadable there, seems to only work for panels from LG, I figured out the hardware ID from my IPS panel, but I cant figure out where its factured or where I can get a fix for this issue. The ID is: MONITOR\  "CMN14B1" At the moments its okay but I always have this weird box right in the middle of my screen: https://abload.de/img/unbenanntdvscn.jpg Its always like that before it goes crazy like 5 minutes later, I think I have to restart soon again, its really annoying and I really cant do something like that. regards

Why OneKey Recovery does not work after installing latest update of windows 10? I have updated windows today (14 Oct 2017). I think the latest version of windows 10 has been installed on my laptop now. After installing this latest version of windows 10, I am unable to make system backup using pre-installed OneKey Recovery Software in my Lenovo Yoga500 14ISK laptop. An another issue is I found a windows.old folder in my system drive which is using approximately 15 GB. It is a very disturbing thing to me. It is appearing after installing the updates. Can anybody help me with the above issues. Thanks in advance. Sincerely,Rubel Ahmed

Hey everyone, My Intel HD graphics 520 driver continuously crashes and basically shuts down my computer. The power button/keys are still on, but I just get a black screen (with some light behind it), as if it is in sleep mode, and I cannot wake up my computer anymore. The only solution then is to just force it off by holding the power button and restart it. I feel it happens at random, but it seems to occur more often when I'm playing a video or something (although that may just be a coincidence). I've had this problem for a long time and have tried several times to reinstall or update the driver. Because I got so fed up with it I just disabled the driver and used the NVIDIA Geforce 920M driver, which works sort of fine with the only big disadvantages that I can't increase or reduce the brightness of my screen anymore and can't run certain programs/games properly. So, therefore, I'm still looking for a solution.  Can anybody help me out?

I own 2 Lenovo laptops. An ideapad y700 (still under warranty) and a flex 3 (just out of warranty). Both are in need of bios patches to address the Intel ME vulnerability, and yet nothing posted with respect to these models. Any Lenovo computer over a year old has been ignored so far. This is unacceptable Lenovo, would you please do what is right and provide us some answers?

Is MS able to provide updates to mitigate the possibility of remote access or is the ME (which I don't understand well) so embedded in multiple systems that I should not wait for MS to do anything and return this device, and go with something manufactured by Lenovo, HP, Dell, or another company that is trying to address this? Would the iPad Pro AX10 chip probably have backdoor access like the Intel chips have? https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=INTEL-SA-00086&languageid=en-fr

Good afternoon. I have several ThinkCentre M92p computers and these have been upgraded to Windows 10. I ran Intel's SA-00086 utility and they need to have the Security Update installed on them. I checked in Lenovo support and there isn't a Windows 10 version of the update. There is a Windows 8.1 version available and I'm pretty sure that installing the Windows 8.1 update would work but before I potentially hose the computers in Finance and Operations I thought I'd check to make sure it'll work. So, will the Windows 8.1 update work on my ThinkCentres running Windows 10?  Thanks, Joe B

My Yoga 14 ( Type 20FY) cannot boot anymore.  It was fine in the morning, but refused to boot afternoon after being shipped around on a luggage cart.  Now it only lights up the keyboard after power on, and then does nothing, no Lenovo logo, no beep to signal any error. I had tried the following methods to no avail, draining out onboard battery, pushing the emergency reset hole, disconnecting onboard battery and CMOS battery.  Every time it failed to boot after reconnecting it with AC power.  I also connected it with external monitor over hdmi, but nothing to show up after boot it up. The machine is configured with multi-boot to several Linux flavors and Windows 10, so I am knowledgeable to be quite sure it is not a software problem.  Please help me!

I purchased a 3-year warranty with my Lenovo Yoga, and received an XLS document that I am supposed to fill out and send back to make my warranty valid.  I am trying to figure out what numbers on the bottom of my Lenovo Yoga 13 correspond to the "machine type," however the link which was specified in the email with the XLS document is spectacularly unhelpful in telling me where my machine type is.  On the bottom sticker of the laptop, aside from the S/N number, there is a 5-digit "model name", a P/N, and an "MO" - none of which are the four specified digits that would correspond to "machine type."  I tried the standard machine type (2191)  that comes up when I look at the troubleshooting documents for the Yoga, but the XLS spreadsheet was returned to me telling me I had either an invalid S/N or machine type. By the way, I'd like to point out that this has to be the most ridiculous form of verifying a purchase for a warranty. You have told me to fill out a document using a program (Excel) which didn't even come with this computer!!!! Hi, I have a Lenovo Yoga 15 with Win 10 and I want to install Android Studio, but it says i had to install Intel HAXM. I installed it over the Android SDK Manager, but it did not work. I downloaded it from the Intel Software Website.I activated the Virtualization tool (VT) in the BIOS menu, but nothing worked. I get the error "This computer meets the requirements for HAXM, but Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) is not turned on. HAXM cannot be installed until VT-x is enabled. Please refer to the Intel HAXM documentation for more information." Thanks.

Answer:Lenovo Yoga 15 Intel HAXM

Hello and welcome,

Do you by any chance have Hyper-V enabled. That will block VT detection by other software.  It may also be necessary to fully power down (SHIFT-shutdown) and up again after enabling VT in BIOS.  A normal restart isn't sufficient on some machines.

Intel has new drivers for the HD4400 graphics chipset that's supposed to fix a bunch of issues and that's downloadable from Intel's website. Intel's update utility identifies the drivers as compatible with Yoga 2 Pro, but when attempting to install the installer aborts itself and tells the user to acquire the drivers from the "manufacturer", i.e. Lenovo. When I check on the Lenovo site, however, there are only drivers dated October 2013. In graphics driver age that's ancient. So when is Lenovo allowing its Yoga 2 Pro users to update their HD4400 drivers, which in Oct 2013 were rather broken? I'm talking about inadequate resolution scaling for the Yoga 2 Pro's high-res screen in some games, for instance, which is a pretty big issue to left unfixed. Meanwhile the Intel Update Manager that came with the Yoga 2 Pro's software bundle cannot, as of May 2014, even connect itself to the net to check for updates for whatever reason.

Hello, recently the wireless symbol in the taskbar disappeared from time to time and connection via WiFi was not possible but connection via LAN cable was possible.I checked the network and internet settings and a WiFi-adapter was not listed anymore.I checked the device manager of my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro but the "Intel (R) Wireless-N 7260" device disappeared.Only when I choosed "Show faded out devices" I saw the "Intel (R) Wireless-N 7260" device. When I choose Properties from "Intel (R) Wireless-N 7260" this message appears:  "This device is not connected to the computer (Code 45)".Some times when this problem occured I could bring the device to work by a hard reset. It also happened a few times that the laptop did not boot and a hard reset solved the problem of not booting and the not connected wireless module. Now the device is gone again but a hard reset does not solve the problem anymore. What's remarkable is that often before the problem occured I could surf the web intensively via WiFi then I closed the laptop cover (Hibernation mode is set) but when I waked it up again WiFi was gone. The newest Intel driver for the device has been installed after an OS upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Also all other device drivers are up to date (checked via "Driver Booster 5"). From time to time there also was an automatic shut down by Windows.  Today I checked the Windows event viewer after this hapened:  An error occured for the Miniport "Intel(... Hey everyone, so I went into Best Buy yesterday to buy a Surface Pro 2. When I got there, I saw that they had the Lenovo Yoga 11S on sale for $749.99, and guess what! It had the Intel Core i5-4210Y Haswell instead of the i3 that I've seen it with before. The only places I see that have this version of the laptop is Best Buy and Amazon (except its $879.99 at Amazon). Here are the basic specs:4th Gen Intel CoreTM i5-4210Y processor (3MB L3 cache and 1.4GHz processor speed with Turbo Boost up to 1.9GHz) / 4GB DDR3L memory / 128GB solid state drive11.6" LED high-definition widescreen 10-point capacitive multitouch-screen display with IPS technology (1366 x 768 resolution) / Intel HD Graphics 4200 / 360 convertible design / 4-cell lithium-polymerBuilt-in webcam (720p resolution) / 2-in-1 digital media reader / 1 USB 3.0 port and 1 USB 2.0 port / HDMI Port / Optical Drive not includedBuilt-in high-speed wireless LAN (802.11b/g/n) / Bluetooth 4.0 interface / Weighs only 3 lbs. and measures just 0.7" thin
So far its running beautifully, and the battery has been great as well (although I've only had it for a day).
I'm still a little torn though, I went in fully confident to buy a surface pro 2, and came out with this. It was about a hundred cheaper and had the 128gb ssd. Did I make the right choice?

Answer:The Lenovo Yoga 11S with Intel Core i5-4210Y Haswell

The entire Yoga line has had numerous hinge/display issues, one of which I ran into with the older model of this Yoga. I really like what it can do, but with the few Lenovo items I have bought, quality has been an issue (non-thinkpad devices).
Otherwise, Surface Pro 2 will be better if you primarily use it as a tablet, while Yoga has the advantage if mostly used as a laptop.

Hi,I just recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 900 Laptop that came with the Intel 520 graphics card and Windows 10. I have begun to realize a re-occurring issue where I receive a Blue Screen of Death error (stop error) whenever I am trying to edit a video with adobe premiere pro or sometimes when I am playing games. The error is VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmd64.sys). Each time this happens I have to restart my edit or my game because my computer must reboot and it makes me want to scream . After frantically looking for solutions on the internet I got nothing that worked except for disabling the driver, which is OK, but I can't help but feel angry that I don't get to use my new graphics card to its full potential... So, is this problem solvable? I have tried uninstalling the driver and restarting my computer, but that did not work. Is this something I will just have to live with until an updated driver or windows 10 update is released? It just hurts that whenever I play a game or edit I have to disable my display driver. Hi all, on June 2017 (around 3 months and half ago) I bought a Lenovo Yoga 510-14AST Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80S9 - Model 80S9000MIX.I immediately saw a huge slowness but I didn't have a good chance to deep dive the issue. In the last couple of weeks I investigated and found that when launching any of the installed applications (even just the browsers MS Edge or Chrome) the CPU and Hard Disk reach immediately 100% of occupation from Task Manager.I asked to the Lenovo Support guys and they suggested me to try One Key Recovery.I did it and unfortunately it didn't solve. Now the Laptop is reset with factory defaults but even just launching "Lenovo Companion" app cause cpu and hd to move quickly to 100%.The laptop is completely unusable and I'm quite disappointed because the performances are so poor like a Netbook with Intel Atom cpu.I contacted again Lenovo and they told me to send it for technical assistance.I will do it but I would ask if someone that has bought the same model experienced the same.My idea is to ask a replacement with another Lenovo model more performant (paying the difference if needed).Do you think it would a reasonable request? Thanks a lot for al your collaborationBest regardsFabio

Answer:Lenovo YOGA 500 14 Inch (Intel Core i3-5020U vs AMD A6-7310)

Hi

I think that both machines will work fine for the purpose you want to give to the laptop.

The main difference is the processor, but also the video card.  Reading about the "AMD Radeon R4" video card it says it uses your computer RAM, so maybe a little dissavantage can be that it will take some RAM memory for the video card.
According to what I'm reading the video CPU "Intel HD Graphics 5500" seems to be more advanced than the "AMD A6-7310"

But this is more of a geek thing and a personal opinon, I think that it will not harm the performance of the computer for the use you want to give it.

Answer:Cannot properly install any Intel drivers on lenovo thinkpad yoga

If you can borrow a USB to ethernet adapter, you could try updating over LAN. As for the driver, i have mine working on a TPY12 with a fresh Windows Install. Before doing the install I added the driver to the Win8 install USB, and during the Win8 install there is a point where you can load a driver. This worked fine, but after installing and doing a million Windows and SysUpdate updates the Wifi driver update keeps showing. I've tried installing it a few times, to no avail. Wifi still works, so for now I'll just have to ignore that update.

Question: Yoga 500 14ISK

Hello, i just recently bought Yoga 500 14ISK with windows 10. However the screen occasionally and randomly goes black during work and the only solution is to switch it off with power button and switch it on again. When in black screen, computer still works (fans, music, etc.) I tried to close the laptop to put it into a sleep mode and open it again-screen works but after entering my password it goes black again in a second.I was able to solve all the other issues(high CPU, RAM and disku usage) but this one is killing me. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Answer:Yoga 500 14ISK

Hey there.I just got a Yoga 500-14ISK too and I ran into a thread (here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-100-305-500-Edge/FLex-3-Video-card-Mathematical-Operatio... where guys were having similar issues, as well as the Lenovo Companion app detecting hardware errors. I don't have black screen issues but it does tell m I have an Intel HD 520 hardware problem. What they suggested is that the laptop is "too new" for the drivers and Lenovo has acknowledged the issues. (see here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht105222) Some people fixed the black screen problem by manually installing these drivers:https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25620/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-6th...Hope this helps!

Dear Lenovo.Yoga 510 laptop is very disturbing sound of the cooling fan. It is switched on and off at low load. It would be better if it would work at lower speeds but steadily. BIOS update can be solved?Welcome GyJ

Answer:YOGA 500 14ISK (IPS or not)

Hi Halina,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Checking on the machine number 80R5003HUK Yoga 500-14ISK Laptop (IdeaPad) - Type 80R5:
Original OEM part number from parts lookup: Part Number: 5D10K42173 LCD Module W 80R3 FHD W/BEZEL

Yoga-500-14ISK marketed also from multiple resellers (here, here and here) with FHD Multi-touch IPS.

It is possible that replacement display from original part number 5D10K42173 (highlighted for Lenovo encompass pricing) with cheaper IBM compatible screen or other resellers that would also work with the model similar to Chi Mei CMN14A7 TN screens.

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards
