My dell inspiron 7559 laptop will not play any audio through headphones or speakers

Question: My dell inspiron 7559 laptop will not play any audio through headphones or speakers

I have been trying to look around for a solution however none of them work. On my playback section it says "no audio devices are installed" and i can't change the volume or even get access to the little bar you use to change it. If it helps my computer was recently fixed up and i was thinking that they may have forgotten to reconnect the speaker but that wouldn't explain why headphones don't play any audio either.
Any help is appreciated

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: My dell inspiron 7559 laptop will not play any audio through headphones or speakers

Check for any settings in he Bios. You might be able to turn audio and microphone on or off there.
If the audio is not listed in Device Manager, in some form, the boot may not be picking it up. The Realtek audio or at least High Definition audio device should show up. If you have a device which shows as unknown, that might be it but missing a driver.

Hi all I recently got the i7 version of this laptop and noticed that the speakers rattle a bit when vocals are being played and the headphone jack makes everything sound like it has REVERB added to it...??? It sounds like I'm in a chamber. I updated everything, anything I can do or no?

Hey everyone,
I was using my Dell Inspiron 7559 this weekend and suddenly the audio from my headphones quit. I had no problems in the first month I had the laptop, and the audio from the speakers still works fine. When I plug in the headphones the dialog box also doesn't show asking me about the audio device connected to the port. I know the headphones work on my phone, and I've tried deinstalling the Realtek audio driver and using the native driver. Nothing seems to work. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm grateful for any help!
Best,
Cameron

I have just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7559 and it just arrived this morning. However, when I try to play any sound the speaker starts to crackle heavily. The only solution that works is plugging in headphones and unplugging them which seems to work. But once you shut down the computer, and turn it back on, this problem still exists. I have already updated the realtek hd audio driver as well as the bios. I would hate to have to return the laptop as it works flawlessly otherwise.

Answer:Speakers Crackling on Dell Inspiron 15 7559

Install latest Realtek driver FROM REALTEK SITE, not from Dell site.
That Realtek driver ll have an advanced option to disable audio power management. That's it.

Hello. It's a common problem with that model. See the Choppy/Skipping Audio FAQ for the solutions other owners have found. The 7559 section is the 1st section after the links at the top of the FAQ.

Just got my computer back from Dell tech support having sent it because of an issue with no audio output device installed and the red x on the toolbar. The computer is in the exact same state as before I sent it with nothing fixed. I've tried reinstalling the drivers multiple times, checked if audio services were running and all of that. Feels like a huge waste of money at this point and is especially disappointing because this computer was actually a gift for someone. Has anyone had this issue with this computer and have it resolved without resorting to an external usb sound driver?

Answer:Dell Inspiron 15 7559 No Audio

You can diagnose this by performing a system recovery (reset the laptop back to the original factory configuration.) If there is still no audio immediately after recovery, before getting on the internet, then the audio hardware has failed and Dell will have to fix it under the terms of the warranty. In other words they could not say it is a software issue and therefore not covered.
If the recovery does fix it, but the problems recurs after getting on the internet, then probably some Windows Updates-related issue.

Hello,

Ive had a Dell Inspiron E1505 for about 4 years now.

-Windows XP Home SP3
-Genuine Intel CPU T2400 @ 1.83 ghz - x2 (Centrino Duo)
-1 GB of RAM
-EHM OTENWT6 SCSI CdRom Device
-PHILIPS DVD +-RW SDVD8820

I've never had any problems with my cd drive until today when I was ripping a burnt cd. When the cd had 3 songs left to rip it stopped and wouldn't rip no more (the cd was pretty scratched), so I tried to rip just the last 3 songs ( 3 attempts, 1 for each song) with no luck. I ejected the disc and put in a different one (non burnt) and the audio was jumpy and skipping. I tried other cds since then and they all have jumpy and skipping audio, I tried a dvd and the audio was the same way (the video was affected a little if any at all).

Although, I have a video game already installed on my computer (which takes the game disc to play), and I put in the game disc and the audio was just fine, it loaded up and I played it for minute.
I CAN play audio from the harddrive and the internet and it sounds just fine.
I CAN still rip cds with windows media player, and when I play them back it sounds just fine.
I have nottried to burn anything yet.

ALSO, the light on my cd drive's door flashes (maybe insync with the skipping audio, kinda seems like it).

I read a similiar thread on here(but different!) and someone said to look in device manager under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers", then go to it's properties, then go to advanced tab and change it to DMA, bu... Read more

New Inspiron i7559 purchased 1-13-17. Windows 10 Home pre-installed.
2-12-17 -  Audio devices disappeared after Dell updates.
"No Audio Devices are installed"
REALTEK driver does not show up under Sound, Video and Game Controllers
Dell Realtek driver re-installation same result.
Dell diagnostics did not find a sound card.
I ran UBUNTU Live off a flash drive and no sound devices were found.
I am now using a USB sound adapter and that works OK.
I think the Realtek chip or decoder is fried.

Answer:Inspiron 7559 Audio devices disappeared after Dell updates.

I don't think an update would burn out your audio although it may have made some type of change to your configuration.  Do you know what update it was?
In Device Manager, if you set it to see Hidden Devices, does the Realtek Audio show there?
If you look in Task Manger, the Services tab, there is a Windows Audio and Realtek Audio Service.  Are they both running?
Just a warning, there is supposed to be a fairly large Windows Update released Tuesday.  That may help or hurt but possibly it will address the problem you are seeing.

My laptop originally had Windows 8.1. I upgraded to windows 10 and the audio was working perfectly for a while until it started stuttering and also playing sound on both speakers and headphones at the same time. Even my audio levels keep fluctuating. I've tried every possible solution online but I can't seem to get it to work properly. I even resolved to installing my OS afresh, I deleted everything but still the same problem exists. Now my "High Definition Audio Device" is showing a yellow exclamation mark, it didn't show that before. Please help, I'm frustrated now.

Hello. I replied to your other post yesterday.

dejibytealso my left speaker had stopped working before re installation, and the audio jack has a bit broken off exposing the metal stick(i dont know maybe this is a problem)
That information wasn't in your first thread. That might be why there is no audio through the headphone jack.

In light of this additional information, it is possible that you have 2 issues: broken headphone jack, and an interruption in the audio signal to the speakers. I understand that you reseated the speakers, but the ePSA test proves that the signal is still not getting through, or they have failed.
If the laptop is no longer under warranty, all I can suggest is that reseat the speaker cable again.
As for the headphones, I don't think that the Inspiron 3542 has a jack circuit board, so your best option may be to get a usb audio jack. It only costs a few dollars on Amazon. Don't know about the availability in your area.

I am have a problem trying to figure out how to stop audio playback through my desktop speakers when my headphones are plugged into the 3.5 mm jack on the left side of my All-In-One Inspiron One 2320 desktop.  I have tried everything in my knowledge of my computers and audio set up.  If someone could help me figure out how to configure the audio so that when I plug in my headphones the audio playback is only streaming through the headphone speakers and not both headphones and the internal desktop speakers simultaneously I would appreciate any input on this situation.  Thank You

There should be a RealTek HD Audio Manager on your PC (not sure how it's accessed).  You should be able to reconfigure the jacks with that.

Hello. Failure of the ePSA audio test means hardware failure -- probably just a coincidence about formatting. The ePSA tests do not have anything to do with Windows -- would work even with no operating system on the laptop.
dejibyteafter i removed the speakers and reinstalled to check shaky connection still no sound.
The fact that no audio through headphones either means there is more wrong than the speakers. If the audio chip were functioning correctly, should hear through headphones even if speakers were dead. If the laptop is still under warranty, contact tech support.
If not under warranty, you can still get audio through headphones or external speakers by getting an inexpensive usb audio jack. A usb jack has its own self-contained audio chip and does not use the one on the motherboard. The only drawback is that a usb jack cannot play through the laptop's internal speakers.

It's as if it doesn't detect the headphones. It says my Realtek audio driver is up-to-date. When I go to manage audio devices, there's only one device listed called "Speakers / Headphones", so I don't know if when I plug my headphones in it's supposed to detect it separately. I've tried multiple headphones, all of which work with other devices. Also, there are two drivers listed under "sound, video, and game controllers". One is Realtek Audio and the other is Intel(R) Display Audio. Should I reinstall them both? This is a new laptop that I got to replace my old laptop which had (different) sound problems, so I'm very frustrated and at my wit's end, help is appreciated, thank you.

Answer:Dell Inspiron 15: Headphones not working, sound comes through speakers when plugged in

First, make sure the headphone cable is fully inserted...
Then you show get a popup to allow you to select the device if you are using a Combined Audio Port.
If you aren't getting the popup, check the task manager to see if on the Startup Tab a Waves MaxxAudio entry is set to enabled.
If you look at the processes tab you should have two entries for Waves, one blue square and one green circle.

Hi, I had bought my laptop in late September of 2016 and am just outside of my warranty period.  I use this laptop for school work (involves some autocad and waveforms 2017 work).  Recently the display has started flashing black with it being more off than on.  This makes the laptop unusable for me as I now have to connect it to an external monitor to use it.  With the desktop extended or cloned the external monitor works fine through HDMI and the laptop screen flashes and pulses.  Some times the screen works fine for a minute and then will go back to flashing.  The first couple of times it happened was while in fullscreen mode watching youtube.  I would close chrome and it would start working normally.  This put me down a software path.  I have tried updating both the intel video drivers and the Nvidia drivers.  My current drivers are Nvidia: 22.21.13.8205 and Intel: 21.20.16.4627.  I recently also updated my BIOS drivers to 1.2.4 to try to solve this issue.  No adjustments I have made in software has made it better and it seems to be getting worse with time.  The screen on this one is the 4k touchscreen.  I mostly keep it in 1080p though due to software compatibility issues. Even with the screen flashing the touchscreen still functions normally and tracks at all corners.  I am hoping this is not a hardware issue as I will be extremely disappointed if that is the case.

Thanks,
Michael

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 Laptop - Display flashing

Just went into the preboot test screen to test the screen.  #1 for some reason it shows as 1024x768 on that screen.  The display works fine while on that screen, when it shows the horizontal and vertical colored bars, and while the screen is flashing the solid colors.  It messes up and flashes as soon as the box comes up asking if I saw the test successfully.  This strikes me as weird that the test is good until the confirmation box pops and then if freaks out.  Anyway just adding more data into the issue to try to help get this resolved.

Around the beginning of July last year, I bought a Dell Inspiron 15-7559 and it worked perfectly. About one year later, July of this year, the laptop started getting an issue where it would shut down after playing a game that uses the GPU for 5 minutes, but when I used the integrated graphics, it didn't shut down at all. Then about a month ago, the Laptop's issue got worse. When you press the power button, it would turn on for a second, turn off again, it would stay off for about 5 seconds, then it would turn on again, show the dell splash screen and when that's finished loading, the laptop would shut down again and not attempt to turn back on. For the next 5 minutes after that, if I try to turn it on, nothing happens when pressing the power button. After the five or so minutes, when trying to turn it on again, it just does the same thing.

Hello all,
I have a Dell Inspiron 7559 laptop that I bought about a month ago.  When I hook it up to my external speakers and start up a game such as WoW, the sound that comes out of the speakers sounds awful... like it's a way lower bitrate than it shoudl be, missing depth and fullness... almost as if it were coming out of one of those old pc speakers.
If I unplug the speakers, let the OS realize they were disconnected, then plug them back in again, it works fine.
Anyone see this before?

Hi
I have a new inspiron 7559 (about a month old), windows 10, everything updated, no interfering antivirus, etc.
Since the start, I've been unable to use my external mic. I have a headset with a microphone, on one of those mic+speaker combined 3.5mm plugs. When I plug it in, the sound system detects my headset just fine and routes sound to it.
It kinda bugs me that the system doesn't show the individual devices to windows for finer control, and instead just reports a single audio device, but ok fine, I can understand that from a technical POV.
The real problem though is that no matter what I do, only the built-in microphone is used, never my external one on the 3.5mm plug. It doesn't show up as a device, there's no setting for it in the sound system, and the system doesn't switch to it automatically when it's plugged in. I just cannot get any sound from it (no, it isn't broken).
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Answer:Inspiron 7559 refuses to enable external mic (speakers work fine)

Fazirithere's no setting for it in the sound system,
Hello. The setting is "Microphone" in the list of devices in the recording tab of the sound properties. "Microphone" is for either the built-in mic or the external mic when one is plugged in.

Note that it must say "Realtek" under "Microphone". If it just says "High Definition Audio Device" then the Windows native audio driver is installed, and it does not recognize the external mic jack.
If the Realtek driver is installed, you can right click on Microphone and open its properties and fool with them, but if the Realtek driver is not detecting the mic then it is probably a buggy driver. It detects a mic by using impedance sensing, and I don't think they always set the parameters correctly.

I got a DELL Inspiron 7559 in July 2017. The rear left corner is already pulling a part at the seam. It doesn't seem to be the hinge, but it does pull further a part when opening and closing the screen.
I called DELL support. Even though the computer is only 5 months old, this problem isn't covered under warranty.
Online, it looks like several other 7559 buyers have experienced the exact same problem. It seems unethical of DELL to have a recurring manufacturing problem and refuse to repair it.
Any suggestions on options to get the split repaired without spending $140?

Hi, I can't seem to get anything higher than 1920x1080 in the list of available resolution options when I connect my Dell U2713HM monitor to my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop. I've run this monitor at 2560x1440 on another laptop over HDMI in the past but that was with Windows 8. The Intel HD Graphics 530 Control Panel doesn't offer any resolutions above 1920x1080 for the external monitor and adding custom resolutions results in the error "the custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity". I'm using the same high speed HDMI cable that worked at 2560x1440 with this monitor on my previous laptop. I'm fully up to date on all of the drivers for the laptop.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure what else to try. Could this be a Windows 10 issue? Should I try the standard Intel HD Graphics 530 drivers from the Intel website?

Answer:Dell Inspiron 15 7559 connected to Dell U2713HM monitor over HDMI can't do 2560x1440 resolution in Windows 10

Hi JonoBloo,
The hardware on the system supports the 2560x1440. It should be a software issue. I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the video card driver from Dell website as these drivers are tested on the Dell system. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the video card.

Press the Windows key and Start typing devmgmt.msc and then press enter.
Select the Display adapters listed and right click on it.
Now select properties.
In the properties window, under Driver tab, click on Uninstall button.
Check “Delete the driver software for this device.”
You want to delete the driver click OK.

After the uninstall finishes restart the system. Then reinstall the Intel video card driver for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the video card drivers from Video section onto the system and install it.

Please let me know if this helps.

After connecting my Dell laptop to my mixer to start Djing I found when the laptop was plugged in at the mains a loud static noise came from dj set up speakers. After playing about with it for a while I found when it ran off the battery it was fine but as soon as I plugged the laptop in at the mains there it was again. So after speaking to Dell tech team today It turns out its a known problem with certain models which they apparently are trying to sort out. So after serching for a laptop for a while to dj from I bought a Dell Inspiron which known to the company has a problem with connecting up to another power sorce. Will they sort it soon & will they contact us? Who knows, all I know is I have new lap top that was sold to me with a problem. THANKS!

Answer:Dell Inspiron Laptop Static noise from DJ speakers

I have a big Acer 17" and a smaller hp laptop ..... BOTH do exactly the same thing .... The hp even does it when plugged into my 2.1 desktop speakers. I've managed to reduce it dramatically by messing around with volume levels on the pc, the program and the speakers themselves .... With the Acer .... (now get this .... it's weird) .... you can almost completly get rid of the noise when it's connected to my DJ cosole ......... by opening the e-mail program (don't ask me why) ..... After an hour or so, it comes back ... so I just close and re-open the e-mail program again .....It's the weirdest thing in the world .....Anyone have any ideas as why we're getting this interference ????Thanks, Garry :)

I have a Dell Inspiron 12-5378 Signature Edition computer, and I recently bought SkullCandy Crusher headphones. The headphones do not seem to be working and are not even showing up in my playback devices. I'm wondering if there is something that I can do to get them working?
My other question is that the Mic Cable for the SkullCandy headphones is 3.5mm plug which seems to be sticking out a tiny bit when I plug it in. Is it possible that the computer isn't recognizing the device because the plug is too long? I can't seem to find any detailed specs on the headphone jack for this computer. If this is the issue, does anyone have an adapter they recommend?
Is the issue my headphones or the laptop?
Thanks

Answer:Dell Inspiron 13-5378 Headphones Not Working (with new SkullCandy Crusher headphones)

Hello. Push the plug extra firmly into the jack and see if it can go in the rest of the way.  When it is detected, you should get a popup asking you to select the type of device you are using.
There aren't any detailed specs from Dell about the combo jack, just general information that we pass along on this discussion board. We have been getting reports from owners that the jacks on some late model Dell are tight.

Hi,
My laptop suddenly went off and now it wont turn back on it would switch on all the lights would show and the dell logo appeared but would switch back off immediately. By constantly pressing the on off button i managed to get it to turn on for a few minutes until it suddenly did the same thing again. However now there is no logo and the lights just flick on once and back off.
Thereafter I tried to get into the BIOS diagnostic mode by pressing f12 as soon as I managed to get it to turn on. once more however it went off as it was loading this up. Now it just wont go any further than flashing all the lights once and turning back off

Answer:Dell Inspiron 15 7559

Unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery, and hold the power button for 30 sec.  Try powering up again.
If you can, you're set.  If not, call Dell - it's time to have the mainboard replaced under warranty.

I have had this Inspiron 15 7559 laptop for over a year now and the audio has been fine, besides the odd crackle or pop here and there. However, after a Windows update, the audio has since become "muffled" whenever I try to watch youtube or movies, listen to spotify, or play any games. It's like the sound is very distant or like it was being played underwater, if that makes any sense. From what I can tell, Windows notification sounds appear to be unaffected. Audio works fine when I use headphones.
I have seen frequent directions on this forum to open the Device Manager and expand the "Sound, Video & Game Controllers" section, then right clicking on "Realtek High Definition Audio". But I do not see that present there, instead I see "Intel Display Audio", "NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM), and "Realtek Audio" (unless this one qualifies?).
I am not sure whether I have made things more difficult trying other solutions posted on this forum and other troubleshooting forums, which has resulted in the Realtek High Definition Audio" disappearing or something.
In any case, I'm at my wits end here and would greatly appreciate any directions you can give me to find a solution to this problem.

What worth M2? PCIe x 2? PCIe x 4? or SATA?
And what key M? or (B)?

Answer:Dell Inspiron 15 7559-1166 M2 SSD ?

M.2 is SATA, not PCIe on this model. You need a drive in SATA 6G format.
Most of these are keyed B+M, but the drive MUST be SATA -- PCIe will not work with this model system.

Hi All, I recently got a Dell Inspiron 7559. It came with a 8GB Skhynix "hmt41gs6bfr8a-pb no aa 1506" RAM stick. I'd like to upgrade it to 16GB. I thought I had bought the same 8GB RAM model from ebay, but I had received an 8 GB Skhynix "hmt41gs6bfr8a-pb na aa 1511". Are they two completely different models because of their different nomenclature? Can I still use it to upgrade my ram? Thank you

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 ram upgrade

There's only one memory socket on this model, so an 8G isn't going to get you an upgrade.  You need a 16G module to upgrade.
These are available, but brace yourself of the price - they're expensive:
(as you can see, going from 8G to 16 causes the price of a module to rise by a factor about five).

Hi, i have an Inspiron 15 7559. Last week my battery  was damaged and can't use it anymore, since then I have low fps while gaming (gta v, witcher 3, etc.), I've read there is a kind of throttling when there is no battery, maybe the turbo boost is not being enabled.
Is there a way I can make the laptop work again like before, I can't buy a new battery yet because I live in Peru and is hard to find this battery model.

I have recently bought this laptop and have had it since the 21st of Dec 2016, and this morning I was watching a YouTube Video and all of a sudden my screen turned black, and at the top there was a sort of static on the screen, scared I quickly turned the laptop off (used to this as my old laptop that was really old kept doing these kinds of things and I was used to turning on and off to resolve things) But as I turned it on the lights on the keyboard turned on and the on switch did too, but the screen itself hadn't. After leaving it 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes it still hasn't done anything, and the ventilation hasn't turned on either, So honestly I have no idea what to do I've consulted to the internet, and Dell Support but everything leads me to using my laptop and updating stuff on my laptop which I cannot do. So I've resulted to just leaving my laptop on to wait for it to run out of battery to plug it on to see if anything works, but if not I'm surprised because it's a brand new laptop and has no reason to be broken. Please help I'm really worried....

I've recently noticed that the fans on my Dell Inspiron 7559 won't spin down to 0rpm after they've been spun up for a while. This is most noticeable after gaming; after I've closed a game the fans don't spin down fully (they spin down a bit, but are still audible) and they stay like this until I restart my computer.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with their machine, and if so, have a solution to the problem.
Thanks in advance.

I had purchased Dell Inspiron 15 7559 laptop in Jan 1st week , 2017. After around a month, windows 10 started giving me issues related to password after the anniversary update. It would not let me enter the password and would just reset. Dell support team helped me with system restore and it worked fine for few days. But later the same problem was back and dell support team told me to reinstall windows which I did and same thing kept on repeating and I had to reinstall windows as usual. At times, the BIOS would ask em for system password followed by HDD password followed by admin password which I didnt even set. Made this to work by randomly tapping a key 4 times and then clearing passwords in bios setup.Even tried calling Microsoft and all they did was re-install windows 10. As usual same issues were coming. In the end before sending laptop for repair I started getting BSOD. After I got the laptop back from repair on March 23,2017 where they changed the motherboard and HDD same problems are coming related to password. I tried changing windows to 7 and started getting BSOD, even tried with 8.1 but same result. It even ran diagnostic tests on its own when shutdown(Nothing was connected to the laptop. Not even the power cord). Is there any way in which I can sort this out because the dell repair center has just made things worse for me? I have already lost my labs and assignments in it. I don't want to waste time on this laptop anymore.

Hi Everyone,
I have a new Dell Inspiron 7559:
I use it for work, mainly translation tools, and also for some ocasional gaming (Witcher 3, Cities skylines, etc.).
So I was thinking on maybe upgrading it a bit, but as I´m on a budget I can only afford upgrading the ram up to 16GB or to buy an SSD of 250GB, what would you suggest to upgrade?, which of both would have more impact on the performance?.
Thank you very much!

Answer:Upgrade Dell Inspiron 7559

If it's running a conventional (or hybrid) hard drive, the SSD will make much more of an overall impact than the memory upgrade.

Hi,
I opened my new Inspiron 7559 today, after updating all the drivers including the NVIDIA one, so I installed league of legends, upon playing the first game, I noticed my FPS was around 130 and would cap around there, I found this odd as the laptop I had returned before this was an older model by Dell and it ran the game completely fine at 215 FPS another thing I noticed is the game would freeze randomly, overall it feels like my laptop isn't keeping up even though it has really good specs, what is the possible issue?
Regards.
EDIT: Last night the game completely froze and I had to manually turn off my laptop and back on again.

I've purchased a new Dell inspiron 7559 with an i7 6700HQ processor, 16GB ram and also with a 4k display at the dell retail outlet. There are several problems occurring with this device right now.
First thing is the Windows animations, the operating system that is provided with this device is a Windows 10 home version and the windows animations on this device ***. If the scaling of the screen is reduced to 1080p then the animations workout pretty decent and I've used other branded devices featuring a 4k screen and the animations on that devices work normally, if the problem is with the 4k display then why did they launch this device featuring a 4k screen?
The Second thing is the Touch Pad, occasionally the Touch pad doesn't respond to the input and points where ever it likes and the cursor takes a free tour all over the screen.
The Third one is the Screen Brightness, when I reduce or increase the Brightness with the function keys, after the level which I fix, the brightness automatically adjusts either by going up or down the level from the level which I've fixed.
I've contacted the Dell Tech support team, that was of no use, But how the *** even they can solve the problems which is with the mismatch of the build specs of the laptop?
The Dell Software Team should release an Update of the Windows 10 rectifying just even the animation problems with this device.

Hi all,
Any help would be appreciated. I have a dell inspiron 7559 and have opened my screen this morning to find that the screen has cracked - infuriating as you can imagine! I have definitely not dropped it and am amazed that it has broken. However, I was wondering whether anyone knew of possible places to get a replacement. The screen number is LP156UHD2 and the Dell P/N : 053FC4
The display itself still works fine and the touch screen works but the glass is causing interference with it so have disabled the function. It seems the glass is the only problem but I don't know whether that is replaceable on its own?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 Screen replacement

The glass isn't separately replaceable.  It's a single, fused unit that needs to be replaced that way.

Hello,Got the Dell Inspiron 15-7559Standard with 100 gb 2,5 inch HDD.Inserted a Kingston 2.5 inch HDD, works fine. Now days later I also inserted a M.2. Sata SSD. Both Disks work. But when selectign legacy boot and first selecting the second HDD it does not boot up the 2nd HDD. It gives an error message saying boot.msgr is missing.Tried :- Legacy mode, Secure mode on and off- Turning back to Uefi mode with secure mode on and off- Legacy mode and all kidns or boot orders. When I press F12 at startup and go to boot selection and select 2nd HDD, there is no problem, it boots up my 2.5 inch ssd no problem. Now I installed windows also on my M.2. Sata SSD and this one boots up fine in legacy mode. No issues at all. But also now when setting 2nd HDD first it still boots up the m.2. And once again manually selecting the 2nd HDD at startup works fine.I would like to use the 2.5inch ssd as boot device and the M.2. sata as storage.I have my reasons for this lol. :) Can anybody supply me with some advice/help?Thanks in advance!

I have brand new a Dell Inspiron 7559 (Core i5 model) which i received 2 days ago.  The inbuilt speakers work fine. And here are no issues with the earphones since they work perfectly with my phone and other Dell Inspiron laptop.

My 7559 laptop is still relatively new but I feel like ever since an update in June it's been acting strange. It froze for no reason and wouldn't shut off when I held the power button. I had to unplug it and let the battery die. When I restarted everything was fine so I ran McAfee got nothing and moved on.
That said, ever since it can't seem to handle sleep mode as well as it use too. I was able to leave it on for a few weeks at a time and now I feel like I have to turn it off daily or it's Memory goes up. It's also frozen once since the initial freeze but that time it actually let me hold the power to turn it off.
I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one experiencing this. I think it's the update that caused it, but I don't really have any proof other than McAfee hasn't found anything. I've been keeping the task manager up to keep an eye out but the only things that are noticeable are System and Compressed memory and McAfee. Well those and Chrome but chrome's always been a hog.
I can deal with it for now, but I'm hoping there will be an update or something to fix it. I'm really just posting to see if anyone else has experienced this or something similar.

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 high Memory

There is no need to wait until the battery runs down to turn off a frozen laptop nowadays. Simply hold down the power button until it shuts off. It will take 30-40 seconds.
You can uninstall updates if you think there is a bad update. Open Settings, Update, Advanced Options, View update History, Uninstall updates. Not all updates can be uninstalled but some can. You should also check the Event Viewer for clues as to what might be hanging up the computer.

I just bought a brand new 7559 laptop and noticed the pop/static sound just before any audio is played through the speakers. Continous audio plays without issues. I have also tried all the solutions that others suggested.
I'm not sure if mine is a unique issue or if no one narrowed down to the subwoofer.
That pop/static sound is generated from the internal subwoofer. If I go into speaker properties and change the subwoofer level to 0, the pop is gone. Likewise if you restore the system to use default drivers the pop is gone. (default drivers does not use subwoofer) Which explains why the pop is gone. Anyone else have the same issue and have a solution to this? Initially I thought it was the driver issue and power management but now it seems like a hardware problem.

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 pop/static from subwoofer

nwgtr tried all the solutions that others suggested.
Sorry, I don't have any new solutions. I had gathered together the workarounds/solutions that already were posted, on the Inspiron 7559 section of the Choppy/Skipping Audio FAQ.
nwgtrI'm not sure if mine is a unique issue or if no one narrowed down to the subwoofer.
At least one workaround was related to the woofer.

As the title says how exactly do you achieve this?

I have an ISO Ran RUFUS 2.6
GPT Partition Scheme for UEFI
Fat 32
8192 Default
X Quick Format
X Create a bootable disk using
X Create Extended label and Icon Files

so the next part is the Kicker Dell did a number on their Bios and rather than using standard logic as we have done so many years just setting the boot order to "Boot USB" first, you "Only" have the option to create a "Boot Program"!!! so you select your USB Drive then which ever file you want it to boot I'm Assuming? So I tried selecting Setup, bootmgr.efi, and autorun with no results!

I get the secured boot error crap, turn that off and I get Legacy BIOS (that defeats the entire point) What the hell happened to Win95 Boot Discs and FDISK?

I am so frustrated with this garbage, I found out the hard way with Windows 10 and trying to nuke the SSD and put a clean install of 8.1 on it.

Any directions especially concerning Dell's wonderful BIOS would be appreciated!

Thanks

Answer:How to install UEFI on Dell Inspiron 15 7559

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 15 7559 a month ago. The first week it was amazing with no problems at all.
Then when I was working on it, left it plugged in and left is for a while, then came back to it after 1 hour or so, I noticed that the battery was discharging.
Did not mind it until it went to "plugged in, charging" 0% and it shut off completely.
I tried to turn it on several times and it did not turn on.
Called Dell service center and advised to remove the battery. I cannot remove the battery completely because of the screw type but managed to remove the cables.
I turn it back on and it worked again. But after a few days the probem kept recurring.
Its going like "plugged in, charging" but it is not charging. Or "1 hour 05minutes to full charge" but after an hour it will be "1 hour 40minutes to full charge". I mean what gives.
Have done all that was advised in the internet but not hing is working.
I have done restart task manager, uninstall API, and all that, but the problem is recurring.
BIOS was updated recently also. So is it hardware of software.
Please help for anymore ideas?
Its brand new, it rocks when it is working, but I dont have the patience to kept on checking for hte battery status. It is getting annoying also.
Thank you.

Answer:Dell Inspiron 15 7559 Battery Problems or So I think

Hi SANDMAN99,
Are you using an original Dell OEM Adapter? When you plug in the adapter to the system, does the adapter stay firm or does it fall off easily? Is the adapter frayed? Is there any damage on the system? Could you test with another power adapter if possible?
Restart the system and press f2 key to enter BIOS - check the adapter status in BIOS with and without the adapter plugged in. Also, wiggle the adapter cable at the end and see if the status changes in BIOS at any point. Check the battery health in BIOS (if applicable).
Restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics. Let it run the diags and if you encounter any errors - make a note of the complete error and report the same to us.These are onboard diagnostics and they might possible pick some error if the hardware is not functional.
Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.
Let us know if you have any other queries.

I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7559 laptop about a week or so ago and several days later realised some odd USB transfer behaviour. Tried all 3 different usb3.0 ports, same problem.
(Bios was updated immediately after cloning hdd to m.2 ssd and all drivers updated.)
(I swapped the 1TB hybrid drive with a Samsung 850EVO and installed an m.2 Samsung 850EVO) (OS and most files on the m.2 drive)
External hard disk: Transfer of large sizes or even a single large file (GoPro video near 4gb) occurred rather erratically (fluctuating between 90+ and 40+ mb/s) and eventually reaching 0mb/s and pausing there for quite awhile before transferring again at fluctuating speeds, sometimes reaching 0 and pausing again. File transfer completes eventually, but after a ridiculously long time.
The same hard disk works fine with my desktop (writes at a steady 90+mb/s)

External ssd: transfers for awhile before reaching 0 and giving an error code. (works fine with my desktop) (error code: 0x8000745D)

Thumb drive: writes fine at 90-100+mb/s, just like my desktop.
Notes: File transfer problems mentioned above were from both the m.2 drive and 2.5mm drive, internal transfer from the m.2 to the 2.5mm Samsung 850EVO ran fine. Samsung Magician installed, problems persist with RAPID either enabled or disabled.

Solutions I've tried but have not made a difference:
Chkdsk /f /r
Booting into safe mode (transfer problems existed even in safe mode)
Uninstalling and reinstalling usb drivers
Disable/... Read more

Hi,

I recently bought inspiron 15 7559 i7 and found that the keyboard is bilingual.
It's little bit hard for me to type as the enter key is really small.
Would it be possible to get another keyboard (with different layout) and replace it?

Thanks

Hello,
I have bought this laptop about 2 months ago. Since i bought it, I have noticed that it's performance is not what i should expect.
I mean, i can be in Google Chrome viewing a page, and in the moment i scroll using my mouse, the laptop like freezes for a milisecond and then continues. Same happens when playing videogames, i can be playing at low/ultra details, 60+ frames per second, but every now and then i get a frame drop and then it goes back to where it was before, it's super annoying and shouldn't be happening.
I always thought it was something with the game, that it was not well optimised but it seems to be the computer.
Things i have done:
1. I reinstalled Windows 10 using the software provided by Microsoft.
2. All my drivers are up to date
What could it be? my laptop specs are:
6th Generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)]NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB GDDR58GB Single Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (8GBx1)1TB (5400rpm) Hybrid HDD with 8GB Flash
All these things occur with the laptop plugged or not, it doesn't matter. Gaming, i have used Balanced and High Performance battery mode but i don't see any difference. This has happened to me for example in CS:GO, LoL, World of Warships, etc.

This is a benchmark i did with HDTune: http://imgur.com/a/wf68f

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 video stuttering

When you are saying that it is stuttering, does it do this all the time or is it something that will be working and then you get a quick stutter and then things return to normal?  If this is happening, it's most likely just a point in time where the files that the processor needs to access files haven't been loaded into RAM yet.  Your processor then has to wait for the HDD to load the file and continue on from there.  Does Google Chrome do this all the time?  Again, when it first boots or if there is something that computer has to load on the webpage such as Flash or anything like that, it can cause a temporary delay in the time that it is loading.  If it's doing it constantly then it might be something to look at, but once in awhile, it's not uncommon for this to happen during loading.  5400RPM is slowest speeds for HDD and it can cause your computer to have to wait for loading here and there.

Hi everyone.

I want to know the maximum capacity of this laptop.

Scanning it on crucial webpage, the results of ram memory is 32 GB at max. But in Dell manual and some other webpages is 16 GB.
And I want to know if I can put a crucial m.2 SSD, 500 gb or 1TB...but I'm not pretty sure about that.

Thanks a lot.

Hey, I bought the Dell inspiron 7559 (windows 10) a month ago. Then i decided to get insider updates and since after i started receiving major insider updates i'm unable to adjust my screen brightness after around 20 mins of continuous usage and the brightness remains still(i.e. if i set the brightness level to 5 then it can't be changed unless i restart my system) . The insider update i'm on is Build 15031.rs2_release.170204-1546. Also i though that resetting might help my problem but instead it completely rolled into the (Windows 10 Home Insider Preview) and i can't revert back. Please help me. Thank you!

Try setting BIOS back to default then press F12 when you boot. Select USB device from the UEFI section of the boot menu.

Hi, my Sleekbook 14 is playing the headphones and speakers at the same time while listening to something and I can't figure out what to do. I have tried changing a few settings  in the sound window as well as reinstalling the IDT High Def CODEC audio driver that is used with no success. I have Windows 10 and  I'm not sure if anything updated before this started to happen. Could anyone help me out here? Thanks!

I have an HP 550 laptop running Win XP SP3. I use the headphones most of the time. Recently I found that when I plug the headphones in, the speakers keep playing and there seems to be no option anywhere to turn them off. The volume control only lists a single wave output device and Device Manager has no option or tab which differentiates between speakers and headphones. After 10 minutes of chasing my tail on the HP customer support site, which demanded an "SKU" (no description of same or information on where to find it, the link just goes back to the main support page and I'm having to start over from scratch picking my device type), or a product number and which wouldn't accept the P/N I entered ("more than 500 hits, please narrow the search" and back to the beginning we go yet again) - bearing in mind that I'm having to turn a plugged in, running laptop upside-down in order to find the label on the bottom of the machine, while I'm currently online and on the HP website trying to get help on the issue - I gave up looking for a BIOS update. My question is this: Is there any solution to the problem other than sending the machine in for repairs? And if there is a BIOS update, is there a direct link that doesn't involve surfing in circles on the HP support site, which seems to have been deliberately coded with the single purpose of driving innocent people insane? Thanks.

I have an Acer Aspire 5630 Notebook. My speakers and headphones play at the same time. This was not always the case, and I want my main speakers to mute when I plug the headphones in. All my drivers are up to date, and my computer has HD Realtek manager audio. Any suggestions?

Answer:Headphones and Speakers both play

Try uninstaling your sound drivers and reinstalling them

I didn't use an audio driver for a while 'cos then the laptops sub-woofer makes annoying sounds, but now i usually use my laptop at home so I've been using audio system instead of laptop speakers.
But the dell audio program recognizes speakers as headphones, and then i noticed that when there's heavy bass(and i don't listen to music on high volumes) the overall audio gets quieter, as if loudness equalization is being turned on, there is no chance that my 2x 300w speakers that are connected through an amplifier can't handle this sound, there s a tweeter, mid ranger and 2 woofers in each speaker, besides i haven't encountered this problem before i installed the driver, or on other computers. If the amp was the problem, it would overheat heavily, not dampen the sound.
Is there a solution or an alternative to this driver?

Answer:realtek driver for inspiron 7559 audio quality

sp0ng3b0t i haven't encountered this problem before i installed the driver
Your best bet would be to switch from the Realtek driver to the Windows native audio driver, if possible. One of these 2 methods work with most Dell laptops, but some of the tablet hybrids with Win10 can't do it. If neither method works, try to disable the Waves software, which is probably causing the problem.
1. Open the Device Manager (find it in the Control Panel, or type devmgmt.msc into the search box).2. Expand the "Sound, video & game controllers" and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".3. Select to "Update Driver Software".4. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software".5. Click "Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".6. Put a check in the box "Show compatible hardware" if not already checked [but SEE NOTE].7. In the list of devices, click "High Definition Audio" (the native driver).8. Click "Next".9. On the Update Driver Warning box, click "Yes" (install the driver). 10. Restart the laptop if prompted. If not prompted, sometimes you have to restart, sometimes not.[To get back to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 2 and 7.]NOTE: if you have a 2-in-1 model and do not see a "High Definition Audio" option after step 6, then uncheck "Show compatible hardware". Then in step 7, if you see 2 "High Definition Audio&... Read more

When I installed windows it automatically found a driver for both the nvidia 960m and intel hd 530.  I went to nvidia site and installed the latest drivers even though they warned it may cause instability. When  I realized things were going wrong with the screen tearing I immediately uninstalled and installed the correct video drivers from the website here.   However I am still having problems with screen tearing horizontally across the whole screen at least with videos playing through steam.  At the time of the screen tearing I did have my laptop connected to my 1080p tv via hdmi.  Any ideas?  Do I need to reinstall windows completely to get rid of the newest nvidia driver I installed?

Hello,
Recently I bought the Dell Inspiron 7559 (gaming one).
It has the option to add a SSD drive. I bought a m.2 SSD 256gb drive from Plextor.
See link for the version. The BIOS and Windows both don't recognize the SSD.
I have put it in and out several times. Updated BIOS / Resetted BIOS. It just won't recognize it.
Do I have to tweak any settings in BIOS for the SSD slot to "activate"?
I thought this was a plug and play thing. How can I get this to work?
Note: I also have my HDD still plugged cuz it has everything on it (windows etc).
I want to convert windows to the SSD if it CONNECTS EVER.
SSD:
Help would be appreciate SOOO MUCH.

Thanks in regards.

Answer:Dell Inspiron 7559 m 2 SSD upgrade failed / not recognized

That's a PCIe SSD -- this system supports mSATA (SATA 6G), not PCIe.  You'll need to exchange the drive for an M.2 SATA/SATA6G version.

Bought this laptop for Christmas. I have been having this problem since its purchase. The screen randomly turns black and becomes unresponsive. The power button remains on and so does the display's backlighting. The only way to solve this issue is to restart the laptop which is very frustrating when I have unsaved work. This happens multiple times a day. I need this laptop for a project I'm working on, I can't afford to go a week without it, so I can't return it. I've also already upgraded the RAM. When it works this laptop is great though.

now I just wanna know that is it capable with my dell or not means is there any damage to the battery or anything happen to my laptop by changing 130 w to 180 w and 6.7A to 9.23 A.
