Preferred Solution: Can you swap the graphics card on the Lenovo Flex 5?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have run 'Can you run It' and it says my graphics card (Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family) is below the minimum required. I have taken apart an old PC i had and have a graphics card from that and just wondered if anyone can tell if that one (ST Lab AGP-9200s-TV3W120D) is better. It's from 2003 so chances are it's worse but thought I'd try anyhow as funds are limited. Thanks guys.

Not that I plan to... but I was just reading some of Vista's minimal requirements in comparison to what my laptop has. The video card is 128mb with up to 319mb shared memory. I was just curious if you're dating enough if you can crack open the laptop and drop in a compact 256mb one later on down the road or something.

Just a random question.

Answer:Is it possible to swap out the graphics card?

I don't think you can.

Hi All, I seem to be suffering the same problems as many others. I was using a second screen via a displaylink adaptor on my Flex 15 laptop up until installing Windows10.
My laptop has an intel 4400 GPU, which appears to be unsupported by Windows 10, and is stopping the displaylink adaptor from working. It refuses to accept the latest official Intel drivers, saying they are not supported by Windows 10, and for older drivers it refuses to use them, saying that WIndows has detected an error with the device and stopped it (code 43)
That was the major issue up until today, when my usb DVD drive (a Lenovo Slim USB DVD-RW) stopped working also - it has been working for the last few weeks without any problems. - Again Windows won't accept the correct drivers for the device.

Wondering if the I made a major mistake in upgrading now, especially as my opportunity to revert back to Windows 8.1 disappeared at the weekend.

Has anyone got any glimmers of hope about how/when the correct drivers will be released, and how to get the OS to accept them? Really regretting 'upgrading' to Windows10 at present...

Cheers

Rob

Answer:Lenovo Flex 15 - graphics & now DVD problems

What Intel drivers are you using? Intel claims to support the 4400 graphics:

Intel Download Center

What drivers are you trying for the DVD drive? I haven't seen an optical drive in many years that used anything other than the generic Microsoft drivers.

Is it possible to swap out the graphics card on my Satellite Pro?
I need to in order to get it to run CAD software. Anyone know if it is possible, or is it soldered to the motherboard :(

Answer:Is it possible to swap out the graphics card on my Satellite Pro?

No, this is not possible since most graphic chips are part of the motherboard.
In some cases it?s possible to remove the graphic chip from the motherboard but in such case you have to use always the same GPU for this motherboard.

Earlier today a new graphics card I ordered arrived in the post, I went to my PC uninstalled my current graphics card, restarted, turned it off and replaced the existing graphics card with the new one, the new graphics cards' fan was spinning correctly and it gave one long beep and two short beeps meaning a video error, i then googled the problem and found that reseating the ram may fix the problem, I did that and the video error sound disappeared but there was still nothing on the screen, i tried it in my TV too to see if the monitor was at fault, it didn't work there either.

I put the other graphics card back in and now that doesn't work. Not sure what to do.

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate, not sure about the service pack or any other details atm/

I recently swapped my ATI x1650 card for an Nvidia 6800 card when the ATI card died. The Nvidia card is a temporary replacement while the guys at the shop try to replace the 1650.

After replacement, I uninstalled all the ATI drivers and utilities and other ATI related stuff and installed my Nvidia card, drivers, utilites and all.

During this period I hadn't attached my speakers on, so I don't know when exactly this happened, but after re-attaching the speakers (after swapping the cards) I realise I'm not getting any sound. My Realtek HD Audio control panel FAILS to detect any jack plugged in.

Volume is turned on, drivers are installed correctly, default sound is set to the Realtek HD onboard sound card.

I don't know what is wrong with my computer.

If I turn on the speaker volume to full blast, I can hear loud hissing coming out of the left speaker. If I mute/turn down the volume (in windows, not speaker), I hear a slight pop when it mutes/the volume reaches 0. If I try to play something I hear some very faint droning from the right speaker (hiss from left speaker still present), even at full volume.

I suspect this has something to do with the jack detection program? But I'm not sure.

Has anyone had this problem before? Please help!

I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X Laptop which has an integrated graphics card and a nvidia geforce gt 540m. Is it possible to replace the nvidia graphics card and if so what cards would be able to fit in the slot?

Answer:Can i swap out my nvidia graphics card in my Dell XPS 15 L502X laptop?

Nothing you could buy on the open market. You should really contact Dell and see if a better replacement is available for that model.
From the NVidia forum on this exact subject:
"Some laptops are fitted with MXM modules, which are basically mini PCIe graphics cards. These modules are replaceable, yet rarely upgradeable. Normally the laptop will be designed to support a particular module, both in terms of power & cooling as well as well as form factor. Unfortunately despite the fact that 'MXM' is a standard, there are enough differences between module and laptop design that you are probably stuck with what you've got.

For laptops which are not fitted with MXM modules, the only option is to replace the motherboard as the graphics chipset will be built in.

Caveats for others:

- If the laptop you bought had faster graphics options at point of purchase - i.e. the 580M was offered but you only went for the 540M, then it is possible that a higher performance MXM module may be available. It might take quite some trial and error and time on Google to find this out.

- If the laptop was available with an NVIDIA graphics card, but you only opted for the Intel on-board at the time, then it is possible you could find a replacement motherboard which has the NVIDIA chip fitted."

Earlier today I booted up my computer and noticed the Nvidia control panel wasn't an option on the right click context menu. After going to services.msc, I noticed the Nvidia display driver service wasn't running, and if I tried to start it, it would immediately crash. I then went to device manager, and saw that under Display Adapters, the only visible one was Intel Integrated Graphics. I wiped the Nvidia drivers, and when I tried installing the latest ones I was told that "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I've already tried resetting BIOS, which did nothing. My concern here is that either the graphics card has died, or it has been shaken out of place somehow. Are there any suggestions you can offer to fix this, or will I have to take apart the laptop? Thanks for your help.Specs: CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4200U @ 1.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHzRAM: 4GB (4096 MB)GPU: Intel Integrated Graphics (Onboard), Nvidia Geforce GT 720M (Discrete)Model: Lenovo Flex 14

I accidentally deleted my nvidia graphics drivers, and the latest version doesnt work. Knowing the drivers which came with the computer will let me re install them. Thanks.

Answer:Lenovo flex 3 1580 Nvidia graphics drivers fabric version

You might check to see if the earlier drivers are still present on your system by doing the following Right-click on StartSelect Device ManagerLeft-click on Display Adapters to expand.Right-click on your display adapter, and select Update DriverSelect "Browse my computer for driver software"Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"This should provide a list of drivers previously installed on your systemTo switch to one of them, choose an older driver and click Next.It would be hard to know exactly what driver was installed when your system was new, because Lenovo does not provide release notes for its drivers as its certifies them, but older drivers for the Nvidia 940M card should be available from Nvidia, as well as newer driver versions that those release by Lenovo that may resolve your problem. which can be found here https://www.geforce.com/drivers Good Luck,

I don't keep track of these things, but I recall Lenovo preventing on the BIOS level owners from upgrading their WiFi adapters. Not sure if that also was the case with the T series or not. Question is: what's Lenovo's current policy regarding upgrading WiFi adapters? Can owners purchase an aftermarket card and upgrade at their leisure? Does Lenovo block unauthorized cards, so if you want upgrade, you have purchase one through their store (if they offer upgrades through their store?)? Or doesn't Lenovo allow you to upgrade in any case, apart from purchasing a next generation machine? Reason I'm asking is because 802.11ax is around the corner. Around the corner = next year, but I need a new machine this year, so of course I'd prefer the option to upgrade WiFi whenever I need to later down the road.

HelloI have a flex 3 1470 (model 80JK001GUS) which comes with a NVIDIA graphics card (940m). Attempt to install update to NVIDIA through downloaded driver from BOTH  LENOVO and NVIDIA.-neither detects a NVIDIA GPU3. I've noticed for some time that my relatively new ~1 year Lenovo Flex 4 yoga, which has switchable graphics, has been running slower.  For instance, VLC has been unable to run certain movies, and running gameshow to record my powerpoint talks now leads to freezing and inability to save movies.  I finally found some free time to try a very basic 3D game (broforce, the overworld, 2 seconds into the game), and then my computer instantly slowed and shut itself off.  I downloaded the Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and the same issue occured, it barely rendered graphics and then froze.  I have all of the latest drivers and updates installed via a clean install.   Put simply, my computer is now completely unable to perform the most basic tasks that seem to be gpu related without slowing to a crawl and shutting itself off.  This includes very old games, new games, benchmarks, and even python rendering medium to large images.   Please please advise some tests I can do to see if this is a software issue.  I work a very very very hard job and this computer is my lifeline, and I need it not to have this issue.

I see that the AMD driver is indeed being used for broforce and for the horizon test, and that the GPU usage shoots to 100% and the gpu gets to over 100C instantly (within 5 seconds).   Hardware or software issue, thoughts?

Hello, my lenovo flex 2-14 wireless card (intel AC 3160)have the following problem: after boot up, it show "this device cannot start. (code 10)", after i disable and anable it, it will work like normal until i shut down / reboot my laptop again. is there any setting goes wrong? or the adapter spoiled? thanks!

Answer:Lenovo Flex 2 Wireless card problem (intel AC 3160)

hi Pathfinder87,

It's a bit early to tell if the wireless card is malfunctioning (unless this has been an ongoing issue out of the box).

Things that you can try:
1. Uninstall and delete the wireless card driver from the Device Manager and in the Control Panel (icon views) > Programs and Features and reboot the machine. When finished, install the stock driver from the D:\Drivers\WLAN folder or try this driver from Intel:

File name: Wireless_17.16.0_De64.exe
Version: 17.16.0 (Latest)
Date: 04/20/2015
Size: 24.73 MB
Language: English
Operating Systems: Windows 8, 64-bit*

2. Follow this "This device cannot start" Code 10 error in Device Manager in Windows fix (see Manually fix corrupted registry entries).

3. Try booting in Safe Mode with Networking and see if the problem persist. If wireless card works fine in Safe Mode, consider doing a clean boot and observe the functionality in normal mode.

3. If you got this problem recently (e.g., after a Windows Update) then you may need to consider rolling back the machine

How to Do a System Restore in Windows 8 and 8.1

4. If doing a System Restore doesn't work, consider restoring the machien to factory settings by pressing the Onekey Recovery (Novo) button )note that any data on the system partition will be wiped).

Hi , Signanandup                    -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Unfortunately the GEforce Card is built in you cannot upgrade to another one, the only 2 things you can upgrade are the HDD & RAM.

Is your drive well defragged? That system should run fairly well. Run CCleaner, clean off some junk files. Make sure the power settings are configured for optimal performance.

Update us how it goes.

Hello,I can't seem to find specific information about this pc related to this topic. I have a client that wants to have a hdmi port and dual monitor installed. I looked everywhere in the bios settings, I tried using a usb-to-vga adapter & and vga, dvi-d cable & vga (this mirrors both monitors, but cannot extend the display). When I changed the settings on the bios to use the built in graphics, it gives me the option to enable multiple monitors but cannot use my pcie graphic card. If i select to use the pcie graphic card, i cannot use the built in graphic ports or the usb-to-vga adapter (it does not see the other monitor) and also if I use the dvi adpater and the vga it mirrors the display. I'm guessing that the bios does not support dual graphic cards but thought of asking here. The reason the client wants this is to be able to connect a projector using hdmi and to have dual monitors. Any information will be greatly appreaciate it. Thank you.

The title pretty much says it all. I am attempting to install an AMD 6450. I turn on the computer and get no video output. It's clear it's not not loading Windows behind the scenes because the power will turn off with a quick push of the power button (as opposed to holding it down). Tower case, or small form-factor (SFF)?  This influences whether you can install a standard size graphics card, or a double-wide standard size graphics card, or if you must go with a low-profile grpahics card (for SFF case).

In all cases you need a LOW-POWER graphics card, since the PSU in your machine is small.

Absolute best value and performance among graphics cards that satisfy your requirements are the following.  Both are far superior to the built-in graphics in your PC.

(1) if you have a tower case and can therefore handle a standard size low-power graphics card, single-slot or double-slot, your best bet is one of the 2GB DDR5 EVGA GTX 750 TI family of cards.  They are LOW-POWER and HIGH PERFORMANCE.  They don't require any additional PSU PCIe 75W power connection, but run directly off of the standard PCIe bus.  NVidia drivers.

Highly recommended is this low-power 2GB DDR5 EVGA GTX 750 TI SC card, which takes two expansion slots in width but use uses the single 16x PCI slot on the motherboard.  Priced competitively from TigerDirect and on sale with $10 mail-in rebate through the end of the month.  I use this card in the tower M93p machines I build for people.

No VGA connector, but three digital connectors DVI, DisplayPort, and HDMI.

(2) if you have a SFF case and therefore require a low-profile low-power graphics card, your best bet is the low-power 1GB DDR5 Sapphire AMD R7-250 low-profile card... Read more

I have a Lenovo H50-55 (AMD) dekstop with a built into the motherboard graphics card.  I want to install a higher end graphics card into the PCI express slot.  I have upgraded the power supply to a 500 watt PSU and added 8GB of ram for a total of 16.  I have two graphics cards that I already have and I have tried:  a Galaxy Nvidia GeForce 210 1GB DDR2 card; and a Zotac 9400GT 1 GB 128 BIT DDR2 card.  In both cases after I install the card there is no video either through the unit's built-in ports or the new card's ports.  I have tried resetting the BIOS to AGD or PEG (the only available settings besides auto) with no result.  I do not see an option to bypass the motherboard's video ports in the setup.  Any advice on how to get a new video card working would be appreciated.  The two cards I am using are older so is it that I need a newer card?  Thank you

The title pretty much says it all. I am attempting to install an AMD 6450. I turn on the computer and get no video output. It's clear it's not not loading Windows behind the scenes because the power will turn off with a quick push of the power button (as opposed to holding it down). I've already flashed the bios to make sure it's up to date. Any idea how to get the card to work?

Hey! So i dont really know much about graphics cards or laptops/hardware, etc & i was just wondering if i got the discrete NVIDIA 3100M graphics card with my T410, would i be able to take that graphics card out and replace it with a better one? i want to get the NVIDIA Geforce 9800M GTX.  I know T410s arent meant to be gaming laptops and are mainly for business but its just a question.

Answer:Lenovo T410 Graphics Card

No you can't.  And if you could, it couldn't handle the heat.

Hello, am am new here so dont judge me if I look totally dumb or something  First off, I have purchased a Lenovo Z50 75 laptop(CPU: AMD Fx 7500 quad coreMemory: 4 Gbyte)  The device works just as fine, nonetheless  have some problem with the graphics card. When I check the dxdiag it shows that the integrated AMD r7 7500 is working. I checked it with GPU-z which still said the same thing.  Moreover the device manager only shows the integrated video card.  My question is this, the laptop shall have another GPU, the r7 260 or something like that, but the laptop just doesnt want to recognise it. Is there any way to get the device manager to show the other GPU, shall I update the BIOS or something? Oh Btw I have updated the latest AMD driver, but with no results.  Any suggestions?

Answer:Lenovo H515 and 505, graphics card

Hi DonMaidment,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

You will need to look on two things

- Compatible Graphics
Here are some compatible graphics adapter from the Lenovo H515 Maintenance Manual
If you are going to purchase a Video card that's not on this list, I suggest you do a test First before purchasing it as I'm not too sure if other Graphics model will work.

- Power Supply
Your Power Supply must match the Videocard Requirement,
or else you will need to upgrade the power supply as well.

Answer:Can I install a graphics card in a Lenovo H50-05?

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

Yes, you can upgrade the graphics on your desktop system.

I am assuming that you are currently using the on-board graphics ?  If so, it is just a matter of adding a new graphics card to the top PCI-e expansion slot.  Your system's BIOS should automatically detect the card and allow it to be used.  Then it is a simple matter of installing the new drivers for the card.  Most graphic card purchases will come with a driver disk, but you might visit the manufacturer's website and download a copy of the latest ones.

If you already have a graphics card in the expansion slot then swap the old card for the new one and install the drivers for it.

Here is a link to your model's User Guide.  Page #48 gives an illustrated guide on adding an expansion card.

Hey there, can I replace my ideapad's graphics card? It only got Geforce 920MX and I want to change it to a better one. and also, I've experienced a bluescreen of death on this laptop. I only had this for around 4 months, the error below has nvlddmkm.sys something. Can I get a fix for this one? I'm currently trying the solution microsoft gave to a user, it's by removing the driver and reinstalling a new one from nvidia. Are there any other solutions?

Now my question is can I purchase a replaceable graphics card like I did with the HDD caddy to replace the cd/dvd drive rw?  Another question is can I replace the AMD a10 4600m with an AMD a10 5750m? I mean the graphics is okay but I want to upgrade it if possible with the AMD a10 upgrade. Now is it soldiered into the motherboard or not?

I have a Lenovo H50 (Model #90B7) and am trying to set up dual monitors. I am seeking help in finding a graphics card for my computer. I Know I have a pci-E slot and I was just trying to do this as cheaply as possible. Im really not to much into graphics, I just need the dual monitors for work.. Can some list some cheap solutions? Im trying to spend less then $50 and it doesnt have to be brand new! Let me know!

Answer:Lenovo H50 Graphics Card Compatability

1. You're sure it can handle only 1 monitor, currently?2. How many watts does your PSU put out? My Lenovo H50-55 came with a 180 watt AcBel "brand" PSU. This anemic, ATX power supply used a single +12V rail to channel a meager 14.5 amps of power through the motherboard via a Lenovo-style 14 pin connector. (With a hack saw, you can cut a 20 pin connector down to 14 pin size, so it's not as proprietary as it sounds.) A 4 pin connector on the motherboard powered the HDD and optical drives. It all worked thanks to the efficiency of the AMD A10-7800 APU, which uses only 65 watts at maximum. The upside is that it already handled 2 monitors, although only 1 via digital output. It came with HDMI and VGA ports. I got an HDMI-to-DVI cable to connect to a monitor I had on hand. Still, I wanted 2 digital outputs, and I never felt comfortable with that AcBel 180 watt / 14.5 amps. So I HAD to upgrade the PSU, on a limited budget. Newegg occasionally has a sale on Corsair CX 430 power supplies, plus a rebate that brings the price to about $16, with free shipping. The CX430 (ATX) uses a single 12V rail with 32A. You can power the HDD and optical drives separately, direct from the CX430. If you're really hard up for cash, you can modify the CX430's connectors and make your own 14 pin connector from the 20+4 pin connector on the CX430. To do that, you'll need a hack saw, a file, and a soldering iron, plus a good guage wire (preferably yellow). You'll also need somethin... Read more

Hello, I've been having a problem where my graphics card is disabled for my computer and I don't know why. I've tried downloading different/older drivers, I've tried disabling and then reenabling the graphics card, I've looked around the internet and nobody seems to have the a solution for this problem. When I go to the device management menu on my computer it says that the device (the graphics card) is completely updated, enabled, and working properly. But when I go on the Crimson menu for AMD, it tells me that it is disabled. Whenever I try to play a video game on my computer and I go to the graphics options menu, the video game tells me that it is using the integrated graphics instead of the AMD graphics and I have no option to switch. I'm attaching several screen shots to this post so that you can better see my point. Is there any way this could be fixed without me having to send my computer back to lenovo? I am running Windows 10. Thank you very much for your time.  These are the pictures

I am not quite sure where you are checking the details but this could be due to the Intelswitchable graphics.

Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Display
Check in there if your graphics card is displayed, Right click and select Properties and you can see several details there.

You can also download GPU-z program to see detailed specs of your graphics card.

I just bought my Lenovo IdeaCentre 540 yesterday with Windows 8 pre-installed on the system.  After talking with a Microsoft Representative, I decided to purchase the machine after being assured that I could use a second monitor with the machine.  I have an LG Flatron E2241 LCD monitor that I can connect using an HDMI cable.  The monitor was one that I have used with my former PC.  The monitor and cable are both in working condition.  I decided to update the INTEL graphics driver from INTEL directly.  Once the driver installs the monitor extends to the LG monitor.  However, upon reboot the LG monitor goes blank.  In order for me to have my monitor extended I must re-run the INTEL Driver .exe file.  This is extremely irritating, especially since this OS was to make extending screens so simple.  I have tried researching LENOVO, INTEL, WINDOWS 8, and LG for possible driver updates or workarounds.  I have yet to find one.  It looks as though I might have to go back to Dell or Gateway.  I have had a similar experience with HP regarding Windows XP - Vista.  I refuse to buy HP and if LENOVA doesn't fix this I most certainly will be adding them to my list.

Hi smcculloch79,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community, I'm really sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your machine but in order to check this thourougly, I would suggest to you to your graphics drivers from the Lenovo Support site. The link can be found below.

Thought it is a generally good idea to download drivers from the manufacturers site, however in your case it would be recommended to downoad from the Lenovo support site directly and check for the changes.

Do let me know how it goes.

I recently bought this product influenced by the prospect of a computer for casual gaming. It says in the specifications that the Lenovo C50 "All-in-one" includes a: NVIDIA GeForce 820A graphics card. But through gaming and exploring the computer it seems that I cannot find evidence to suggest that it is there. My computer shows that there are Intel graphics but no NVIDIA.  I have tried looking for some sort of NVIDIA Control Panel or such-like but to no avail. Is there any way I can acess the control panel and, if not, do I have to alter settings in order to 'activate' this graphics card or is it active already? Many Thanks.

Answer:Lenovo C50 i3 Processor - Graphics card?

Hi Megbro, welcome to the forum.

Which retailer did you purchase your system from?

The Amazon UK site has 2 C50's, with the I3 processor listed:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-C50-30-23-Inch-i3-4030U-Windows/dp/B00R2VRPI0

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-i3-4005U-Integrated-Graphics-Windows/dp/B00R2VR9R2

Both have the graphics listed as:

Graphics Card Description
Integrated

Which means Intel Graphics only.

If you change the Style Name on those same C50 pages, you can upgrade to the I5 processor, and get the Nvidia GeForce 820A.

Even the Lenovo UK site has 2 models listed, both I5's, and with those models, the Nvidia 820A is listed. Please note: under the Tech Specs the caveat "Up To ..." is listed next to the descriptions. That means you can special order those Up To specifications, but only if you call the Lenovo Sales.

http://shop.lenovo.com/gb/en/desktops/lenovo/c-series/c50-30/#tab-customize

It appears that with the I3, only the Integrated Intel Graphics is available.

Sorry.

Cheers

Answer:Lenovo g500 upgrading graphics card

hi nickkinn,

Thanks for Posting!

According to this REquirements
   http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/premiere-elements/tech-specs.html

Your system should support it
as per main requirements

PROC   supports SSE4x
Audio     DX11 AUDIO
Graphics and RAM DX11 and supports the resolution Required 6GB of RAM is more than the minimum requirements

DAC Internal
This is the Convertion of your systems DIGITAL and Analog signals,
Since you PC support INTEL Processor normally it has the DAC internal to it and reason why your system has two different output,  an HDMI which is Digital and VGA which is analog

Hope this helps
Cheers!

Answer:G50-70 - issue regarding amd r5 m230 graphics card 2gb on lenovo g50-70

hi Ashish1793,

If you're running on Windows 7 64bit, can you consider the following:
1. Navugate to the Control Panel (icon views) > Display Adapters and uninstall both the Intel and AMD Display driver then reboot.
2. Install the Intel Display Driver first then reboot.
3. Install the AMD Dislpay Driver (the files will be extracted drivers to the C:\Drivers\VGA folder - overwrite if prompted and reboot if necessary)

When finished,  you should now have both the Intel HD Graphics 4600 and AMD R5 M230 in the Device Manager > Display Adapters

If you get a Code 43 error on the AMD Display Device Manager, try to install the AMD R5 M230 driver directly from AMD website and observe.

If you have Windows 8.1, download the Intel and AMD Display driver from the G50-70 drivers page and install them respectively.

Hallo! Just thought I would add this thread so everyone can see if my problem finally gets solved! Using the info I got here from the community, I have managed to find a H330 250W PSU for next to nothing on ebay. It is winging it's way to me now. I intend to use it to replace my existing 180W PSU. The extra 70W of power supply available (even though I realise I can't use all that 70W in just one place), will give me some space to install a Sapphire Low Profile HD 7750 Graphics Card, which is also winging it's way to me. The 7750 uses almost exactly the same power at full load (55W) as the HD 6570 (50W) which is listed as a graphics card option for the H330. But the 7750 heavily out performs the 6570. So my logic is that if the 250W PSU can handle the 6570, then it will certainly be able to handle the 7750 which I will be running as signifacntly less than full load, given what I intend to use it for. I don't expect more than 30 or 35W for my purposes. All of my plans are hanging entirely on the hope that the 250W PSU has the same or similar dimensions to the 180W unit. They look identical so with any luck it will slot right in. That is, after I completely strip everything out of the H330 case which seems to be the only way to get the PSU out!!! I already know that the 7750 card will fit the case. So I will let you all know what happens on Monday or Tuesday when my two packages arrive, and with any luck I will have a nicely performing, small f... Answer:Lenovo H330 PSU and Graphics Card Upgrade

First update:250 watt supply arrived today. Exactly the same design, shape and size as the 180w. Simple swap. Except for the fact that I had to remove every single component from the case before the psu would come out. Side panel, front bezel, cd drive, hard drive, CPU fan, CPU heat sink, memory card module, wifi card and finally the motherboard. Leaving a case with just a psu in it!Anyway, 250 watt is in and working perfectly. Not bad for £20!For reference the psu is EXACTLY 95mm wide by 70mm high by 325mm long (including integrated cooling fan stuck on the end!). Doesn't seem to be like anything else I can find. Almost certainly a specific custom made design for the H330 series only.Hopefully graphics card will arrive tomorrow and that will be as easy to fit....

Answer:LENOVO H50 - 90BG003JUS Graphics card questions.

Hello Deslothen

Thank you for using the Lenovo forum

Most Desktops are open to configuration there is three main things you will need to keep in mind.

1 is that is the part you would like to upgrade compatible with your unit, most of the time you can find the right information from the hardware manual.

2 upgrading parts can void warranty if something is damaged.

3 upgrading a gpu will need more power then what the psu already in your unit can produce, this means you will most likely need to upgrade your psu aswell.

Hope this help you and let us know how you get onDid someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

Answer:Overclock the Lenovo Y-700's GTX 960 M graphics card,is it safe?

Hi gamer92, I dont realy recommend overclocking mobile gpu's since you dont have any way of getting a different cooling system. The risk of frying the gpu, means you have to replace the entire motherboard, not like in a desktop where it can just be the gpu that you need to replace if things go south.  Cheers,

Hello, I have a pretty complicated issue and I haven't been able to find a fix.  I have a Lenovo y510p.  It was the model that came with the SLI dual NVIDIA Geforce GT750m graphics cards.  So all-in-all it has an integrated graphics card, a GT750m soldered to the motherboard, and a removable GT750m in the ultrabay slot. One day several weeks ago, blue vertical streaks apeared on my screen and I was no longer able to play games. When I removed the ultrabay graphics card, the blue streaks went away, however, I was no longer able to play certain games and some games could only be run on the lowest settings.  I THOUGHT that the ultrabay graphics card was broken, but ACTUALLY removing the ultrabay caused my display to default to the integrated graphics card.  The ultrabay graphics card wasn't the broken one. With the ultrabay REMOVED, I went to device manager.  The remaining GT750m had an exclamaition mark beside it and properties says that there is a code 43 error.  I tried cleanly reinstalling the driver, rolling back the driver, and multiple other fixes from other forums.  This GT750m most likely has a hardware issue.  When I run dxdiag in the RUN prompt, the graphics card under 'display' is my integrated graphics card.  I cannot open my NVIDIA control panel and it tells me that there is no NVIDIA graphics card attached to this display. FORTUNATELY, my ultrabay graphics card should still be ful... Answer:Lenovo y510p graphics card issues

Hey mate. Well, what i can advise you is this: Try to run the lenovo solution center (or lenovo care, not sure how it is called). It will check all your hardware installed in the machine. It should be able to diagnose your hardware as faulty or not.  Now, if it is faulty, i suggest you switch it off via system and reinset your ultrabay GPU. With this done, you should have only the ultrabay running and it will (probably) not conflict with the deffective one. Cheers,

Hi Friends,     I got new Lenovo T430s with Intel HD Graphics 4000 but now I like to upgrade it to NVIDIA® NVS 5200M 1GB VRAM. Is it possible? there is a port for this card in my laptop? Thnaks and Regards

Answer:Upgrading Graphics Card Lenovo T430s

You can't upgrade the graphics card, it is soldered on the motherboard. The only solution for a better graphics card is using an eGPU. Or you can return your laptop and buy the one with the discrete graphics (nVidia nvs 5200m).
