Preferred Solution: ashampoo office suite 2016

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: ashampoo office suite 2016

You ask the similar question like to ask what the difference between 7z and WinZip. They just can not be compared.
If you ask if either Ashampoo Office 2016 or Softmaker Office 2016 would be another thing.
For example, I prefer WPS instead others, was previously known as Kingsoft Office.
It's just your choice, which to prefer.

It was really slow to the point where i just went to task manager to shut it down. Their burning studios werent much better.....Was your Suite 9 a free one cos i think their free stuff may not be great. Its just my personal experience. Other users may have found their stuff cool.

I have installed the Ashampoo WinOptimizer Platinum Suite from the November 2005 PC Advisor DVD but am having problems, the Main Menu does not display the 9 graphnics which enable the user to click and run the Optimizers options, all I get is 9 red crosses in the top left hand of each box. The two graphics at the bottom centre do display (these are the IP Spam and the Pop Ups). I have received the registration code and have inserted this. Help Please!

Hi,
Is it me,or is there problems obtaining the free licence key for the ashampoo burning suite which was on this months PC adviser disc?
Thanks

Answer:ashampoo buring suite PC adviser

Do you mean Burning Studio? I haven't bought a PC Advisor magazine with discs for some time (I had the digital version until recently) but when I did I found that most of the "freebies" weren't very good or promotions to buy a full product. However Ashampoo Burning Studio Free is quite reasonable and cab be downloaded from Ashampoo. If I remember correctly that you have to be careful that you don't load other junk with it like Ask toolbar. And registration brought Ashampoo spam but I probably failed to untick a box.

We have it on 2 of the 3 computers we have and it doesn't seem to be compatible with Word as it is said to be. When my daughter attaches her assignments to her professor it doesn't work.

It is on a refurbished Dell ( XP PRO Interl® Celeron® CPU: 2.40 GHZ, 2.39Ghz, RAM: 504 MB).

What might I try to get these programs to sync?

Thanks so much!

Answer:compatibility of "open office" suite and Microsoft Office Suite?

Hello alpad,

When she saves the document to send to the professor, which format is she saving it in? If she saves it as the default .odt, Word won't be able to open it. In the small window by "Save as Type" she needs to click the arrow to cause the drop down menu to come up, then select the proper Word version to save it as. My version of Open Office has the following MS Word options:

MS Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)
MS Word 95 (.doc)
MS Word 6.0 (.doc)

There is also an XML version. The latest version of Open Office, version 3, is also compatible with MS Word 2007; however, I don't know how that appears in the drop down menu as I don't yet have that version of Open Office.

Once she has chosen the proper Word format, then she needs to save the document. This is the version she should submit to the professor.

If that title doesn't make any sense to you, then join the crowd, because I can't figure it out either!
I purchased, received a license key for, downloaded and installed Ashampoo's CD Recording Suite 4. I had tried the program before and loved it.
For some reason, when I install this program, the card readers in my tower malfunction, i.e., they won't read flash cards. I inserted a CompactFlash card in the slot and the icon(in My Computer) lit up as usual, but when I clicked it, I got a message to insert a disc in the drive. I tried two other CF cards with the same result. I inserted an SD card in the SD slot, but there was no SD icon displayed at all.
The icon for my HP Photosmart PhotoScanner 1000 was changed from a regular drive icon to a flash card icon. All the card reader icons are gray--not dimmed, just gray.
I uninstalled the Ashampoo software and did a system restore and the card readers are all back to normal. I reinstalled the Ashampoo software and the readers went kaput again. So I've uninstalled the Ashampoo software once again and restored the system. Card readers are back.
Does anyone have a theory about this? Any ideas about how I can use this software and still have my card readers?
My computer is an eMachines W2888, XP home. The readers are listed in Device Mgr as "generic."

According to all sources that I could find on-line, it appears that rules are part of pst file.

However, this does not happening in my case.

I use outlook 2016 (part of MS office 2016) and have several accounts linked with this ? From my ISP (POP), Hotmail, yahoo, Gmail. I have rules only for account from my ISP.

Recently I deleted my Hotmail account, removed it from my outlook, deleted associated ost file. Then I had second thought and re-activated this hotmal account the following day. Added this to my outlook. To my surprise all rules vanished. Not a single rule remained. I did NOT have any rules setup for Hotmail account. Even column details for message folders (part of setting) got changed.

I decided to check further. Copied my pst files to another computer which had same version of outlook installed and has exactly the same setup.

Now I added some rules on my 1st computer. Checked the 2nd computer. The same rule appeared there. That means pst file does not contain rules.

So, Where are they?

Hope someone can help me. I am lost!!
Thanks

Hi there!

Well, after reseting the PC to factory settings and reinstalled my drivers, I'm encountering a nasty problem... I?m just unable to install office 2016 in Windows 10, just when it's about to finish, stops, reverts all and says there was an error installing the suite...

I could install this in build 1511, no problems, but here this happens... I tried compatibility modes, using the office cleaning tool, but no avail, I even have all the VC runtimes installed... I'm tryinto install 64 bit version.

Please guys, any advice on this? I really need office for doing my job!

Thanks in advance

I'm looking for thoughts comparing these two apps?  I realize that OO is free , but now Ashampoo Office 2010 is being offered for $14.99 US. What I'm asking is; is Ashampoo's offer worth the bucks? It appears to me that Ashampoo has some good apps. I use Ashampoo Snap 3 and it works well. As far as "Office", I'm still using Office 2000 and it does everything that I require. What's happeng is ; I'm trying to help a friend (at quite a distance, by email and phone) that just purchased a  PC. It's OS- Win 7 64 bit- and I'm afraid that this PC that he purchased knows more about him that he knows about it . BTW, I did get him to download Open Office and without being there it was awful difficult to help him. He so far has not got it installed. I'm hoping that perhaps for $15, Ashampoo's version may be (at least just as good or better?) and also wondering if it would perhaps be any easier for him to install . Anyone have thoughts on this?.Thks, overthehill

Answer:Open Ofice vs Ashampoo Office 2010

I've never used Ashampoo, but I just looked at their website and the price was $59.99 USD.  You might double check what you get for $14.99.I do use Open Office occasionally and it works fairly well.

We currently use Office 2007 and Office 2010 on our about 20 workstations. I'm looking to move to MS office 365 for hosted exchange. I found out that as of the first of this year, Microsoft no longer support Outlook 2007 or 2010 for hosted exchange. It seems to be working just fine so far at another site I'm involved with. The issue is that if you ever contact support, they will blame the version of Outlook you're on. So, I'm looking at options for upgrading.

Do you guys that are on office 365 for email using the premium version that includes the office subscription or buy Office 2016?

For the most part, we just need outlook, word and excel. We do have 6 people that will need powerpoint also.

Just looking for a recommendation from you guys on what makes the most sense.

Thanks!

"JAMES ANNING" is what shows up, and the username is now my email "[email protected]" and the password is different. Going to user accounts in control panel the only user is "[email protected]". Also, I can no longer access 3 of my network drives.

So even though "the password is different" you are still able to log onto the computer? I installed Office 365 on a new Notebook on Thursday and none of the log-in for the computer changed. As for the Networked drives, you may need to use File Explorer to Disconnect the drives then Map them again [I've had to a couple of times in the past].

Hi Folks,

The title of the thread says it all really.

I have legitimate copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate on my PC. I have just bought a copy of Office 2016 Professional Plus through the HUP.

I haven't installed Office 2016 yet - I use Office 2010 at work and find using Custom Animations in PowerPoint tricky compared to Office 2007.

I'd like to install Office 2016 alongside Office 2007 until I have tried Office 2016 to see if the Custom Animations in PP are easier than the 2010 version before switching completely.

My question is, can I install Office 2016 alongside Office 2007 without conflicts - switching between versions without a problem or will installing Office 2016 screw Office 2007 or worse FUBAR both Office installations or my PC.

Any help gratefully received.

Cheers,

Zaph

Office 2016 Installation Routine Deleting Older Stand-alone Apps

I can't say I wasn't warned. I was part way through installing Microsoft Office 2016 on my primary workstation when I got a message that said, "Stop, you should wait to install Office 2016." The error message went on to say that if I decided to continue anyway, my copy of Microsoft Visio Standard 2013 would be removed. Since I had the original disk from when I purchased the software, I went ahead. Bad move. It turns out that when Microsoft says that Visio 2013 won't work with Office 2016, it means it won't even have the chance to work. Any attempt to reinstall the software will be thwarted. The fact that you paid for the software is beside the point. You're basically out of luck. When I went to the Microsoft community forums, which is where Microsoft handles much of its tech support, I discovered that I wasn't alone. Apparently hundreds of people who'd purchased stand-alone Microsoft Office products were affected, and they weren't happy about it.

Furthermore, the problem extended far beyond Visio. Users with Microsoft Project, Publisher, Access, InfoPath and SharePoint Designer were also affected. Likewise, Microsoft customers who purchased Office Apps that are normally part of Office suites but may have been purchased separately, such as Outlook 2013, were also affected.

The issue is specific to Office 2016 on Win 10 (Office 2016 on Win 7, no problem, Office 2010 on Win 10, no problem). Certain documents (reported by a user who receives documents with Japanese text, haven't seen it happen with others) have the layout messed up, a 2 page Word doc gets spread over 4 pages, and I've been given some sample powerpoint slides which have text overflowing the end of the slide.

Word doc was originally in Legacy 2003 format, I did manage to make this particular document display correctly by saving it in .docx format, then enabling compatibility changes via vba, setting to 2010 compatibility and enabling "Use printer metrics to lay out document" based on what I read here: BUG!! Word 2016 fails to print margins correctly / messes - Microsoft Community

The other sample file I received was a .pptx - haven't been able to find corresponding compatibility options in Powerpoint.

Wouldn't be quite so annoying if they didn't both display perfectly in Windows 7.

Answer:Office Document layout/margins overflow on Office 2016 + Win 10

Turns out it was some sort of font substitution issue. I noticed the fonts in Word/Powerpoint weren't present in the Windows font dir. Copied them over from another Win 7 machine, suddenly everything looks fine.

Not sure why Office 2010 did a better job of it than 2016, I couldn't really pick if there was a difference in the Japanese characters before and after the font, only that the page layout was stuffed...

Since upgrading my main desktop to Windows 10, I began having trouble with my Office 2013 installation. I would get the "swirling circle" and the "application has stopped responding" error messages very frequently. I was able to buy the Office 2016 suite for $10 through my employer (Microsoft HUP) and since upgrading the application, I have not seen the error. Of course, I've only had Office 2016 on my PC for one day, so I'll keep checking to see if the problem returns. Has anyone else had issues with Office 2013 and Win10? Thanks!

Answer:Office 2013 issues, upgraded to Office 2016...

In fact Office is working nicely for me in Windows 10. I had PCs with Office 2007 and even with the old Office 2003 and I have not yet had complaints about crashes.

Microsoft offers a FixIt tool, which allows you to do a clean uninstall of the Office 2013 files so that you can afterwards create a clean Office installation again. As an additional ressort, there even is a description of how to manually uninstall Office 2013. I did not have to test it, but that might have helped you as well.

If you wish to carry out a a complete repair of your Office 2016 or Office 365 installation on your Windows 10 PC, you can choose to undertake an Online Repair.
Quick Repair runs faster but only detects and replaces corrupted files. Online Repair takes longer, but does an uninstall and a complete repair.
To carry out an Online Repair, open Control Panel > Programs & Features. Here right-click on Office installation and select Change. You will see the following box.
Select Online Repair and let setup do its work. This post offers additional options on how to Repair Office & Uninstall individual Microsoft Office programs, along with help of switches.

Hi there

I think this comment is allowed - there is an NDA but I think this is OK. The latest update installs OFFICE 2016 just fine and works OK. Office 2010 is left untouched so you can run BOTH concurrently.

OUTLOOK 2016 though uses the same data file as Outlook 2010 so SEND from outlook 2010 hoses up with "Cant access Outlook data file".

However once you've sent the email with Outlook 2016 you can see it in the SENT folder of both Outlook 2010 and 2016 so using Outlook 2016 during the preview won't cause carnage to your existing office outlook.

So far very impressed -- FORGET OFFICE 2013 completely. 2016 is STREETS better and you can get rid of that hideous over white theme too. NDA so can't post image.

Note I'm using x-64 for both Office 2010 and 2016.

If you want to try the Links were open this morning -- this could have been an error because they might close again soon.
So far so good -- note some people get activation message unless they have Office 365 subscription --I don't have and didn't seem to get that message.

Am using Windows 10 x-64 Enterprise as the OS I'm testing this on --running on a REAL machine, build 9926.

Cheers

Hello all, the entire Office 2003 suite one day looks old like 2000 or Windows 2000 icons in general.

Does anyone know why this happened and how it could be fixed?

Thanks.

Answer:Entire Office 2003 suite looks like Office 2000

This had happened to me once but in office 2007. It happened when I tried to open an older file type so It went into compatibility mode, which also changes the layout.

Not sure if its the same thing with office 2003 but go into options, advanced, and see if you can find something like compatibility options or layout.

Anyway if its not their your looking for some kind of option like that so snoop around all the options, views, and windows menus.

This evening, I installed in my computer Microsoft Professional Office suite 2003.I installed all the components, ie, Word, Publisher, powerpoint, excel and access.
All the applications worked immediatley and correctly except, Access. This application will neither open or run ? I have uninstalled it, re-installed twice, but that particular component will not run.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi
One promising tagline in SSuite Office?s homepage is No Java and No Net. Why is this important? It means that the software runs perfectly on older PCs
1)SSuite Office - The Fifth Element:
This office suite introduces some new innovative concepts in interface design and user-friendly application interaction. You get instant system access, top class application design and a cleaner desktop to name a few. The graphical-user-interface has been made into a more iconic-toolbar, mouse centric type of interface. This increases user-interaction speed and user productivity. This office suite was created to be as useful as possible to whom ever needed an office suite, and not to battle it out with the competition or try to replace them. So... if you enjoy a more uncluttered desktop, cleaner looking application interfaces, and faster software interaction, then this office suite is for You.
SSuite Office offers, aside from these three usual applications, its own email application called My EZmail, a browser, and a database called MonoBase.
It includes seven dictionaries for spell schecking: American, British, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, and German.
SSuite Office is compatible with all MSOffice documents thus preserving existing and valuable documents. More importantly, SSuite Office will not disrupt office work flow because existing MSOffice files can be read natively, averting the need to convert files. Another great feature of SSuite Office is built-in PDF functi... Read more

I bought my Office 365 for cheap in college. It is registered to me under a college email that I no longer can access.
(this is a problem because I used that account to sign up for Bing Ads and the customer support is always messing with me to prove it is my account, hard to do when you cannot access the old email, it is a pain in the rear)
Anyway, if I buy 365 again and register it under a new email, will I lose access to all the storage I have in my school account, or will that remain. Can the accounts be synced? (the on-screen prompts imply they can be synced, but I don't trust MS enough to not verify that this is true)

I assume if I just renew it under the now-defunct email address nothing will change. Except I will be out $69 for a 1 year subscription.

What if I just buy Office 2016 for $71 and keep it for several years.
(if these guys are for real, https://www.istarsoftware.com/112-microsoft-office-2016)

Is there a difference for my purposes? I use MS Word, Excel and Outlook daily.
But I use them at the novice to lower average level user level.

Do you think Office 2016, that will last for several years and is cheaper, will be OK?

I use Outlook to access various emails and I do some very simple spread sheet manipulations with Excel.

To be honest, if it weren't for Outlook I would probably not buy it at all. I like the email client. Otherwise Open Office (I think it is called) is more than sufficient I would think.

Hi there

It looks like that a Student and Teacher edition of Office 2016 will be available at around 90 GBP - 105 EUR while an Office 365 subscription will be around 60 GBP - 73 EUR for 1 year. Since the Student edition will work on 3 machines it seems to me the subscription model is bad value compared with Office 2016.

Now there might be a caveat -- not sure if OUTLOOK 2016 is included with Student and Teacher --we'll have to wait and see.

There *Might* also be an Upgrade price from Office 2010 / 2013 too.

Hi there

will office 2016 be available as a stand alone (non subscription) product for non corporate users. If I follow my link to Buy Now from the trial preview it only offers me Office 365 or Office 2013.

I'm NOT interested in subscription software or Office 2013.

I suppose then back to Office 2010 !!!!. - I'll see if Office 2016 appears within the next few days --still have 70 days left on the trial preview.

No.

While possible it is not recommended to install multiple versions of Office on the same computer. But they both must be the same bits. The only way this could be done is to install one on a virtual machine.

Most of them released 2016 editions of their products. I want to compare on their newest products with new features (such as on ESET: Banking Protection, Bitdefender: Ransomware Protection and new Firewall, etc...) and some enhanced features.

And now, which is your choose for your security? Please let me know your opinion!

its hard choice choose between Eset,Kaspersky and Emsisoft.
in fact i never test Eset 2016, but i tested kaspersky and Emsisoft, Kaspersky 2016 really go lighter than Emsisoft(now i am Emsisoft useres)
by your budget and your interest u can choose Emsisoft or kaspersky.

First time post here, hope I follow all the rules.

Looking to acquire MS Office 2016 Professional. I have 4 computers, 3 tablets, 3 phones in the house. I have read different things about buying the software vs subscribing in terms of how many devices the software could be installed on. 2 computers use Windows 7, 1 uses Windows 8.1 and 1 uses Windows 10. Seeking advice/referrals on the best/most cost effective way to get MS Office on at least all the computers. All computers currently use MS Office 2007. Thanks.

Answer:Best way to get Office 2016

i would subscribe to put a standalone version of office on all those machines would be expensive

Assuming and average price of 120 for Office Home & Student
4 computers = 480 and does not include a tablet at that price

the subscription service at 80 per year and you can add to PCs and tablets upto 5 devices - so thats 6years to get a saving - And you are likely to change machines in that time

Also with the subscription you get the FULL version and all products (outlook, publisher - which would cost 250 )

unless you can find a multi-license version to run on 3 or more PCs
then the subscription maybe the way to go.

I have Office 2003 and tried downloading and running 2016. It did the download as expected and put icons down in the task bar. When I clicked on the Excel tab, it said it would activate it if I put in my email address and phone number. The alternative was to enter the Product Key. Everything acted, again, as if all was well and then it said it had stopped running and I should shut it down. Repeated tries gave me the same results. Trying any other component (Word, Powerpoint, etc.) also caused an immediate crash. FWIW, my first attempts to use it were to bring up previous files made in the 2003 version. This install was done through a web site and was part of a group offer. Any thoughts? Was I supposed to uninstall the 2003 version first? There weren't any instructions.
I uninstalled it for now.

Hey guys
I'm trying to download Office 2016 preview. When I go to the download links it redirects me to a page to sign in to a personal Microsoft account. As i understand it you need a corporate O365 subscription to get the preview, which I have access to through my school. I just can't get it to authenticate with O365 business/education instead of the personal MS account. I don't have a personal O365 subscription either.

Question: Office Suite

I have used Lotus 123, Wordpro and Freelance (or earlier versions from Lotus for up to 20 years! I am used to writing macros in 123 linked to Freelance to automatically update graphs etc on a daily basis. Should I consider going through the learning curve of switching to Microsoft, or will Lotus keep up - is it still available? I am retired now so do not need to be quite so up to date, and only want to consider Lotus or Microsoft, rather than other suites. Any views?

Answer:Office Suite

I've never used Lotus but I've got used to MS office. If you don't do that much anyway you might consider OpenOffice as its free.If your old Lotus still works and you're used to it I don't see why you don't just keep using it.As a cheaper alternative to the full office you could also consider MS Works.

Question: Best Office suite

Hi all!! I am a newbie in this forum.. My dad has recently shifted to his new office and he needs a new office suite..As it is he's gonna buy so I am thinking of upgrading my personal pc as well. I suggested him the Microsoft Office 2007 Professional. What do you say guys? Shall we go for it? Also the price I found here http://ecostsoftware.com was ?291 and pc world is having the same for ?350 http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/652219. I want to know why is there such a huge difference between the prices when the product is da same? I am really confused. Dont wanna suggest something wrong to my dad and get my pocket money screwed up..Help Guys!! Thanks in advance..

Answer:Best Office suite

I'm not familiar with http://ecostsoftware.com but it seems to be legitimate.  Yes, the price difference between the two sites is substantial, but I don't think the prices on http://ecostsoftware.com are any indication of pirated/illegal software.  If you come across MS Office selling for, say, a third or less than the normal retail price, that's when you really need to be suspicious.  So, I would buy from http://ecostsoftware.com.  If either you or your father already have an older version of MS Office, an upgrade version of Office 2007, rather than a full version, will save money.  And, you might also review the differences between versions of MS Office 2007.  For example, if you have no need for Access, then the Standard edition may be quite adequate for you.  And, then, there's an entirely free alternative: OpenOffice.org.

Rant first, tips below.Bought a 310-15ABR for my daughter and paid for Office 2016 Student & Home (not worthless 365) with the idea that since it's a full Office 2016, others could use machine. We created a MS account for her when initializing Win 10 and she created password.Days later, when she first tried to use Word, she was prompted for an Activation Key.While annoying for something that should have been 'activated' when I bought it, sounds simple enough. Where's the card with Product Key or instructions to get it ?After searching everywhere for card or something with key, gave up and called Lenovo Support. Big mistake.Support language barrier is daunting. Have to phonetically spell out everything - "Three One Zero Dash One Five Alpha Baker Romeo..." - and then listen to them repeat it back.Support did a LetMeIn/Rescue123 remote control install which installed itself as a hidden Win Service. Then proceeded to fumble around for an hour (mouse around, [Run], type chars, bksp over some chars, retype, close [Run], mouse around, launch MSPaint (?!), close Paint, talk to colleague, [Run], type chars, bksp over chars, repeat....).They finally installed what appeared to be a couple of MS updates and then WITHOUT WARNING (they were silent on phone) rebooted machine. Great. Daughter no longer around to log back in.Luckily I had created an additional local user Admin login and could get back in.Despite my pleas that we were no longer logged in as the primary user, Support had ... Desktop Computer running Windows 10, I'm currently using Microsoft Office 2007, and use Outlook for my emails.
I've recently got Office 2016 on DVD, can I just install 2016 over the top of 2007 ?, or am I better saving all my contacts/ emails and uninstall 2007 first. Thanks

Answer:Best Way To Install Office 2016

There have been considerable compatibility isues with Office 2016 and Microsoft Exchange 2007, but I have no personal knowledge of any problems installing over Office 2007.
Your suggestion of backing up contact details (and emails, as you use Outlook) and then running a clean install of Office 2016 might just be the safest route in the circumstances. You can then import your contacts and emails.

Had I not experienced this myself, I would not believe it.

I upgraded my monitor from 23" 1080p to 27" 1440p, and Office can't handle it. Corrupted toolbars and random vertical black bars all over text in Outlook, Word, and Excel. I don't know if it's an issue with previous Windows versions but apparently it's been a known issue with Office 2016 on Windows 10 ever since it was released.

Funnily enough, Office 2016 on macOS does not suffer from these issues.

I am thoroughly unimpressed with Redmond for this. 1440p isn't bleeding edge technology.

Has anyone come across this issue and found a workaround that does not involve changing desktop resolution?

Curious if anyone else has seen this; Google, so far, hasn't been any help. I've repaired Office, this still crops up occasionally. When it does, there is nothing you can do, save close the file. If you try to save it, even your options for saving it are missing.

Image below. Basically, all icons on the main tool bar and the quicklaunch toolbar are missing. If you mouse over them, they will not reappear, but if you click on something up there, it will take effect. Problem is, you can't see what you are clicking on. I can't recreate it, and I can't narrow down what causes it; it's been random with about 4 people here, myself included. When I re-opened the file I was working on when this happened, it was fine, and the problem did not re-occur.

Thanks,

Is released next week. According to all I've read Publisher and Access will be dropped. Not bothered about Access, but I do use Publisher.
Just wondered if anyone knows if the 2013 version will be left or will the whole lot be overwritten.
I suspect, like Windows 10 updates, the upgrade will be compulsory.
Grateful for any help.

I downloaded the office pro 2016 program to my computer. This included outlook 2016 within the program. When I have gone to configure my email account in outlook the account did not show up under account settings - email but the program has set up 3 separate data files. Can you advise how do I delete these data files as they are not required.

I currently have a licence for Office 2010 for 3 PCs installed on 3 PCs.

I want to retire Office 2010 on my main desktop PC and use Office 2016 instead for which I've bough a cheap single PC licence. I then want to use the spare Office 2010 licence on a fourth PC (but only 3 will be using Office 2010).

What's the best way to install Office 2016 to keep all of my email settings? I'm assuming I should install Office 2016 in parallel with Office 2010 so the new Office 2016 installation picks up my email settings, then uninstall Office 2010 to free up 1 licence. Is this correct or is there a better way?

thank you.

Answer:cannot see microsoft office 2016

Hi geordiejohn. Welcome to the TenForums @geordiejohn

When you say you installed it, did you get a retail version from a store with a license card, did download from MS and install or did you get Office 365 from MS?

Depending on the version of windows 10 you are on, V1607, Control Panel, Programs, or V1703, Settings, Apps are the various programs listed? (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Ken
